A Middle Eastern Restaurant. Brought to you by the team behind the award winning Fat Pasha and the Best Bar/Bat Mitzvahs EVER
The best part of the experience was the service, our server was very friendly and attentive. We ordered Vegetarian Feast and a chicken shawarma. The Vegetarian feast $150 did look big but it was because it came with 6 dips which took up a lot table space, the smashed cucumber dressing was very sour and the roasted vegetables was mostly red onion. The fried eggplant was nice, crunchy and tasty, my personal favourite out of all the items included in the Feast. The chicken shawarma looked small for something over $30. Overall, food was okay but the price seems high.
This place is definitely a staple for us. Love the food, and atmosphere. The service is great too. We loved everything we tried. Plenty of gluten free options available. The best fries my husband has ever had.
It was a perfect lunch! The cheese burger and the “Arayes” dish were delicious. The service was great and our sever very friendly. Nice outdoor atmosphere.
We went there for a drink and ordered a pitcher of beer with fries. The beer was excellent, but the fries were too salty. We mentioned it to our waitress, and she promptly had them replaced with a new batch that was just right. We chose to sit on the patio, which was cozy and lovely. Overall, we had a great time!
It's been years since I've been to Fet Zun, so was surprised to discover their cuisine is now more varied. Yes, they offer burgers and hotdogs from Madame Boeuf. But even their main menu has changed. And it's this change that I wanted to try. We got: - Roast Brisket and Onions: You can tell this has been slow roasted because the brisket was really tender. Good amount of sides. The base sauce was almost soupy, but it worked. - Southern Fried Chicken: Pretty tasty. Tenders were tender and not overly battered. Would have liked more of the honey butter hot sauce since it had a great sweet kick. - Pita: Slightly toasted, firm yet fluffy. Prices are up there but serving sizes are pretty good. Service is friendly and knowledgeable. Vibe is casual and relaxed. This may not be the Fet Zun of 2019, but it's still a worthwhile stop.
My wife's parents shared this gem of a spot with us and we all had a back patio dinner recently. It's exactly what I wish existed near us. Very spacious and casual patio. Corn hole to entertain the kids. The food was excellent. We will be going back for sure.
This place has lots of vegetarian options. The food was delicious, and the atmosphere was good. However, the service was extremely slow, even though the restaurant was not very busy.
Food was outstanding! 2 of us shared a lil mezze platter, chicken shawarma plate & halloumi/garlic fries. Best labneh I’ve ever had. Portions are generous, we had leftovers to take home. Our server Jasper did an amazing job explaining everything in detail and giving suggestions about what to order. Looking forward to going back soon!
Good food and service
This is completely outdated for me, but reflecting on my dining experiences randomly that hit me. I have been many restaurants where the food didn t wow me, I was always left thinking that was whatever. After 8 years to this day hands down I have told anybody that I ever met that the best restaurant where I had that WOW factor was here at Fet Zun. I have not been able to find any other restaurants like it the atmosphere and the flavours were so amazing that it has stuck with me after all this time as a favourite restaurant, I no longer live in the city but I will make the arrangements to come back here again finally ! I loved my experience here it has been my very top eat in the city. I would highly recommend.
A swift trip to Middle East. The crispness of the falafel, the fresh pita, the za atar, the olive oil, the high quality oregano (I know, right). The flavours of the dips. Labhneh spiced up with granulated sea salt and sugar, what an explosion of flavours, what a show, and my tongue the stage. wow!
chicken was dry and very little food for the price. Very surprised its current ratings
Pretty bland food for the price, and pretty meh and rushed service that wasn t too welcoming. Paid $90 for not very much and we needed to eat more after which sounds bad but typically would never have to do that but we were from out of town, missed lunch and had drove 2hrs in traffic. All to say there was not a lot of value for a Toronto dine in experience. You re probably way better off just ordering off of the more fast food portion of their menu. Appetizer was over $20 for 5 pieces of thinly sliced halloumi. I know halloumi is expensive but the main was so underwhelming that it was an overall disappointment when we had high hopes. There are much much better options for this style of food.
Dark, Dingy, Food tasted out of a can, served on paper picnic cups, no love on all foods prepared,,, burnt items, extremely small portions, and WAYYY overpriced. I visit middle east cuisines regularly, this was by far the WORST. Too bad, we had high expectations
Definitely recommend place. Service Food Atmosphere amazing And the chicken shawarma is just amazing. Food : 5/5
The shareable dips and pitas were good (probably because theyre premade by someone who knows what theyre doing). Otherwise, Im about to have a heart attack from the deep fried super bland eggplants. It was made into giant hockey pucks and served unseasoned - yuck! The only thing you could taste was deep fryer and oil. We also ordered the beef kabob that was really gross tasting. You can tell no one middle eastern made that thing. An embarrassment to call it anything from that region. Just overall super yuck.
I recently coordinated a wedding at FetZun for 100 guests and it was just perfection! The team was extremely kind, collaborative and knowledgeable (Dani, the events manager, made the planning process so easy). Everything was executed professionally with care and efficiency. The vibe was everything, laid back and full of love. Did I mention the food was DELICIOUS (Shout out to Chef Mona + Danny for the incredible menu. I am still daydreaming about the fish).Thank you everyone for making our couples wedding a huge success! I highly recommend FetZun for any event! Maleila Day of Wedding Coordinator
Delicious stuff! Top tier hummus
I had the pleasure two days ago of experiencing Fet Zun for the first time the staff were very friendly and helpful! As it was the first time there my group and I asked the staff to select a bunch of items for us and they didn t disappoint! We were served by Milo and Aviva, and even the manager Daniella and the Chef came by and touched the table. It was such a great experience will definitely come back! The honey feta was amazing and the brisket was amazing! Dietary restrictions: People at my table had a nut, dairy, gluten and shellfish allergy and we all were able to enjoy! Kid-friendliness: We were able to bring our friends baby in with stroller on the patio and the manager assisted us through a side entrance
Food was super good! Shared the vegetarian platter for our group of 7, was more than enough Service was tough though, we felt quite rushed throughout the majority of our meal Food
Portion sizes are off. Online menu and menu given in the restaurant dont match. There is more information about the ingredients of your food on the receipt than the actual menu itself, they also seem to serve your food on a bin lid. And to top off this marvellous restaurant which overcharges, they have tables held up by cinderblocks and a train constantly going past to add to the atmosphere!
Not fair value. Glass of wine came in small glass. Looks less than 5oz but $17. Burger came on what looked like a fast food box. Burger was undercooked and I didn t get asked how I would have liked it cooked. Server came by twice total. When I asked to pay, the server pointed to the 25% and said here s where you choose. Anyway, for the price, better options around the Annex
They had a cute front patio with nice tables at the front, totally empty, but we were sat on their ugly back patio with tables made of planks of wood held up by cement blocks. Their online menu is bigger and cheaper, and my bf and I were handed two menus with different prices. The food was unimpressive with small portions and no flavour, trying to be different and edgy but failing Service was ok. Would never come back tbh.
It s terrible a place
Food was alright, not much spice. The prices are high for the quality and quantity. Paid 17 dollars for a 3 oz drink
Our server Lucas was amazing. He was courteous, explained the food and the friendliest server we could have asked for. Not to mention, easy on the eyes . We will definitely be back.
Love this family. Non pretentious, fabulous food, exceptional service. Breath of fresh air!
Kid-friendliness: We could take our baby and our dog because they have a patio. Food
One of the worst dining experiences I ve ever had. It was 20 minutes before we even got menus, and an additional hour before we got our entrees. Portions were small for the insane price and came out at random times over the course of the 2 hours we were forced to be there. Staff was screaming at each other in the kitchen. They forced a 15% gratuity on a party of 5 all while we barely even had water brought to our table. Will never be back.
Everything is delicious here
Had a lovely time here, it was our first time and Rowen walked us through the menu so well. He was witty and created the best atmosphere for us! He also gave the best recommendations and the food was delicious. Would highly recommend & will be back to dine in soon!
This place is a must try, trust me
We had a great time here and got the lil mezza platter which was filling for the two of us. The server was nice and overall good experience in the patio.
We reserved a table for 10+ people for a birthday celebration. We arrived a bit early, but were seated promptly. The food was exceptional (especially the whipped feta, hummus, fried chicken, eggplant, etc.). Service was top notch and everyone was extremely accommodating/friendly. The ambience was fun and relaxed. The chef was very welcoming and took her time to explain a few of her creations. Would definitely return again!
Lovely spot with a down to earth vibe and delicious everything. We had the Fet Mezze Platter which was perfect for two people to share. Make sure you order their baklava for dessert. Divine. (Thanks for the wonderful recommendation Fat Pasha!)
We re typically a big fan of and regular goers of Fet Zun, but we just got a delivery for a $25 shawarma plate that had barely any chicken. Called the restaurant and spoke to to the manager who told me their portions shrunk. Shocking that a $25 chicken plate includes 3 lousy shreds of chicken. Very sad. Won t be coming back here or any of the sister restaurants (Fat Pasha).
Shared the meat feast with some friends. The shawarma, brisket, mezza platter, hummus, and fries, were all so delicious . Friendly staff and good service. Cozy atmosphere. They also have a patio.
Large portion size. I didnt share my entree but I can see that as a possibility. Food was unique. I had the chicken sandwich which had a slight, unexpected combination of sweet and spice. It was very good. My wife commented that her shawarma was kind of light on chicken and heavy on rice. My sandwich had lots of chicken. She enjoyed it regardless. Dietary restrictions: My wife has allergies to egg, dairy, and wheat. She had the chicken shawarma without egg and enjoyed it. They said they could fix most anything and accommodate her allergies.
Great service ,food and staff.
Fet Zun is a gem for middle eastern food lovers. We tried their Feta Mezze Platter, fried chicken, and shared bottle of Sauvignon Blanc, and it was a treat. The platters dips were bursting with flavor, especially the whipped feta with honey - a must-try. The fried chicken was crispy and juicy, paired perfectly with the wine. Their falafel was also a hit - crispy outside, tender inside, and delicious. The vibe was relaxed, making it a great spot for any occasion. Overall, Fet Zun offers tasty dishes and a welcoming atmosphere - definitely worth a visit.
Ordered slow roasted brisket. The idea + design of the plate was great, but the food was extremely salty; quite disappointing.
We keep coming back to FetZun whenever we are in Toronto. We loved the service (especially Kacey ). Food has always been good- though they changed our regular order (platter) making it less vegan friendly and the new addition of Cole Slaw did not go well with the rest (none of us liked it compared to everything else)! Best falafels ever though ! I normally would say it is 5 stars. This time though - found staff yelling a bit too much- Sorry guys ! Maybe we will see you again when Patio season opens up and we will call to see if any of our favourites come back
Fantastic service, would really love to shoutout the chef and staff who swung by and confirmed my dietary restrictions and ensured I d have options. Great serving sizes, quick service and absolutely delicious food! Definitely will be coming back!
Incredible food, service, and atmosphere. Have gone here with small and large groups and it has been fantastic every time
Visited with my friends just before Christmas. Great place, nice people, tasty food - very good experience. Highly recommend!
I love the place, the food and the staff.
Incredible food and amazing environment, especially in the warmer months on the patio - fantastic for sharing with groups and even better price for the amazing quality flavour and food put on your table
Always a great experience coming to either one of Anthony Rose s restaurants! My husband & I initially stopped by Fat Pasha, but there was no availability at that moment so the host kindly booked a table for us at Fet Zun, which is a 5 minute walk from Fat Pasha - great service all around, delicious fresh food - every visit is a great meal and time well spent. Highly recommend! I d also like to commend Alexa s service - they were amazing!
The staff and owner are rude. Food is okay but not of value. Spend your money in a place where you feel welcomed. 1/10
The food and drinks were really amazing, but the portion sizes were a little small for the price.
Its hard to describe this as middle easter as the majority of the food that I had didnt taste authentic at all. The falafel was great, but the fattoush way way off. It tasted like a random salad youd find at a fast food restaurant, partly because the ingredients werent correct. For example, it had kale instead of lettuce, and it had no sumac. It was very odd. The bread was great but its not made in house. The service was extremely slow on a night where there werent many customers. Mediocre food. Byblos Uptown it a much better alternative.
Loved the vibe of the place and food was tasty!
Small cozy Middle Eastern restaurant with a vast menu of shareable treats. Highlights are the dips platter with falafel. Be warned it is very filling. Great choice of value wines. Mains are shareable as well.
Extremely overpriced for not so special food.
cozy and warm and fuzzy feelings that this place gives me ! amazing staff, soul-warming food (delicious and ample portion) and fun decor. im definitely coming back for the brisket flatbread.
Hands down one of the best middle eastern restaurants I ve tried in Toronto. We got the fet zun feast and everything was delicious, particularly the brisket, couscous, and mezze platter. Got the baklava with ice cream for dessert which was also great. Will definitely be back!
It was fine.
wow, it was a wonderful experience. We went there for my husband s birthday and the service and food were top notch. We tried the Saturday special menu and everything was delicious and high quality. The chef is very creative and professional, she mixes middle eastern flavours to creates unique and beautiful dishes.
The food and service is exceptional!
Mezze platter was utterly fantastic
Dined here on a Saturday night with friends. A great spot for family style sharing - between the three of us we had the mezzi platter with 3 dips, the brisket, the fried eggplant dish, and fries on the side. It was plenty of food to leave us all satisfied! I d caution asking what comes as a side on each of the main dishes, we found the dips and the veggies often repetitive. Staff was friendly and the environment was good. We dined on the patio which was a lovely way to enjoy a warm april night.
Amazing food and excellent/super friendly service. Lots of people on a Friday so make sure you make a reservation. Patio is lovely to dine on a warm evening. So happy to have stumbled upon this gem and will definitely come back :)
great service. good place to have apps before a night out. keep up the good work.
Kind staff and amazing food! Even better the second time we visited.
Everything was delicious and great value for the price. The Mezze platter and chicken shawarma were so yummy and so filling, but we still managed to finish the baklava ice cream sandwich cause it was so tasty! The cocktails (sumac sour and Rosie Cheeks) were perfect. Most importantly though, excellent service from Alexa (and Ella). Alexa was so helpful, fun and quick/efficient! Will definitely be back, and will bring lots of friends to try everything!
Amazing brunch!
Unfortunately, we were extremely unsatisfied with the service. The waiters sat us on the wet tables (it was raining) when we wanted to move tables, they said no, that table is reserved, but Noone came in for 40 minutes. Also, the cups for coffee and mint tea were ridiculously small. The waiters were so fake and not genuine. They seemed they did not want to be there and perform any work. They did not even help us out when we were trying to move the tables from the rain. It is the opposite of the Middle Eastern culture. Middle Easterns are known for good coffee. This place had a horrible cold coffee.
This place is one of those that makes you wish Google had a way to let you add more stars than just five for a review. It is divinely good! As close to perfection as can be probably.
The shakshuka was just cinnamon, it was uneatable and had to return in but they still charged us. Also they dont use salt for anything.
Desserts not good at all. The chicken shawarma and Mezes platter were good but we didn t like much else. Also pretty overpriced. Recommended dishes
Food and drink are amazing and service is wonderful! Chef Mona has really got it going on. Really cool summer patio and delicious brunch, definitely check it out if you haven t already
Absolutely amazing food. Very comfy eclectic place.
Remarkably average food. The chicken and hummus in the Shwarma both had no flavour. Staff couldn t have cared less about our experience.
Had to try a $20 Shwarma. I was expecting a serious taste sensation. Wasnt it. Same with the falafels. Each to their own I guess?!
Fet Zun in Toronto is an amazing discovery! It boasts a fantastic ambiance and a wide range of beers to choose from. Its the perfect spot for a great evening out with friends, where you can truly unwind and have a good time. And dont forget to check out their patio during the summer months its an absolute gem! Whether youre looking for a chill hangout or a lively gathering, Fet Zun has it all, promising an unforgettable experience.
Loved it there, I live in the area. Everyone should go try their food.
There are no words to describe how delicious the food is. Ive been for dinner and brunch and recommend both. The front patio is very pleasant but I havent sat on the garden patio yet -seems to be in high demand. Seating is mostly accessible with some benches and armless chairs. Food
Great healthy food
This restaurant has a great space with a fun interior, a cool covered front patio, and a fun back space (usually open on weekends) with open-air eating and tent-like cover. The food is a bit pricy but tastes wonderful. The ingredients are good and the portions are immense. Brunch is excellent! Vegetarian options: My meal was vegetarian. There were lots of different parts for different tastes, and it was complex. No worries that it ll only be bread and potatoes! Dietary restrictions: I can t tolerate cilantro, and that wasn t a problem at all.
Amazing food and the friendliest staff.
Delicious food and fairly busy restaurant, but service was extremely poor. Kitchen was slow (understandable), but the server did not approach our table a single time throughout the night and made it seem like a nuisance every time we made a request (like refilling our water or order mains..) Recommend the meze platter and fried eggplant, both delicious. :)
Loved the staff super friendly
This is place is INCREDIBLE!!! As someone who has been to most highly regarded middle eastern restaurants in the city, this place truly does stand alone in quality, ambiance and service. The succulent and flavourful brisket can compete with anyones bubbies (big statement...I know), the mezze platter contains some of the most innovative and exquisite labneh, hummus, schug and amba I have ever experienced and the hallomi fries were absurdly tasty. They also crushed it with the music (i.e. thunder cat, bill withers and khruangbin) in a hip but not pretentious space while the servers were very knowledgeable, attentive and fun to chat with. Loved everything about this place with a special shoutout to our sever Juno and the head chef Mona for making our experience extra special.
Fantastic family style experience and delicious platters fitting for both vegans and meat eaters! The group of 4 of us loved every bite. A big shout out to the friendly service staff that gave us stellar food and drink recommendations. We ll definitely be back for more.
A lovely experience here with delicious food, cute patio, and very welcoming service. We shared the big mezze platter and it was 10/10!
Great decor, service, and food. Fast ticket times.
Best service super friendly and helpful. The food was amazing nice atmosphere.
The best authentic food. Our family loved it and the chef came around asking how our experience was and we thought that was very thoughtful and caring of Mona the chef! One of our favourite spots for sure!
The food at Fet Zun was incredibly delicious and the service was phenomenal! Can t emphasize enough how awesome of a place this is - one of the best restaurants I ve ever been to!
Indulged in culinary dreams at Fet zun, every dish is a masterpiece and Chefs warmth is the secret ingredient. Pure foodie bliss! The vegetarian feast is fulfilling and beyond satisfying! Food
My favourite local spot. Hosted a stop on my friend s bachelorette here. The staff are so kind and helpful. The food blew everyone away and all my friends said they d be back now that they know of the place. I m very COVID cautious and the patios on this place are covered and super safe. I felt good having a large group together knowing I wasn t going to get anyone sick before the wedding !
Really liked this place! The atmosphere and the service are excellent, everyone is very friendly. Food is excellent quality and fresh. Heres what we had: Muhammara - delicious! Our favorite of the 3 dips we had. The papers, walnuts, cheese were perfectly balanced. Babaganoush - a very close second. The char on the eggplant took it to another level. Chirshi - our least favorite of the dips. It was fine, but a bit bland and wouldve been better warm. Falafel - soooooo good. Among the best Ive ever had! Pita - the pita was served warm, which was great, and it was so soft and fluffy! We just wish it had a pinch more salt because it didnt have much flavor on its own and we think a touch of salt wouldve made this the best pita ever. Brisket - We loved this dish! The brisket was so tender and flavourful and the caramelized onions was a great accompaniment. Sundae - The ice cream was the perfect texture and the blueberry compote was fresh but we were overall a bit disappointed in this one. The glass it was served it made it difficult to eat and the halva and cardamom were too subtle. Overall we really enjoyed this place and I would go back to try some other dishes on their menu. Definitely recommend checking it out!
Fresh ingredients, delicious dishes and flavors + excellent service. A great place for a casual dinner with friends + family.
Truly a great spot. Anthony always makes everyone feel at home. Camp in the back is open now so hurry up and get there!
We loved everything but the whipped feta with honey was incredible. If you re picking from the meza dip menu, don t miss this one. Nice service and a cool environment. Such a charming restaurant, seems a bit out of place on Dupont, but the neighborhood has a few cute places now and I m glad they re there.
Eclectic and delicious. Great service and atmosphere.
Ok food, great friendly service for sure, quite expensive for the food.
Do you like Hummus? Eggplant? Perhaps a cocktail? Nailed it. Jeremy was awesome. Thanks folks.
You read all the reviews, but you won t know how delicious the food is until you sit down and have a bite. From the Mezze to the entrees and the features, we didn t know that it would get better and better. Highly recommend trying the Mezze Platter, the fried hallumi the falafels and the brisket entree!
The Fet Zun Feast SO filling. I wish the chicken shawarma and braised brisket came out around the same time as the rest of the meal because I was already filled up on the pita by the time the meat arrived. There were lots of sauces to choose from and the falafels had a nice crunchy shell and was packed with flavour!
The food is phenomenal and our server was really friendly, plus they explained the food excellently.
Dined there last night! Food was lovely, but our waitress made the experience 10 times better.
Pretty cool place with very tasty food. Everyhing can be shared.
Amazing food.
A quaint restau with so many great menu items to choose from! Would highly recommend going as a larger group so you can justify ordering more off the menu (though don t let the number of people stop you from living your best life)
From the moment you walk in the door, it is such a welcoming experience. The staff are incredibly friendly, take the time to answer any and all questions. Special shout out to our server tonight, Juno, who was super attentive, kind, and knowledgeable about the menu. And Chef Mona!! What a force! Her passion for her cooking shines through the meal, and she is such a lovely and kind person. Can t recommend this place enough almost didn t want to write this review cause I want it to stay the beautiful, hidden gem that it is. But that would be a disservice to the talented team and people in Toronto looking for an awesome spot to eat among good company.
I have never been in a more expensive place in my life. Two drafts were about $20.00 No other place in Toronto has such overpriced drinks. One dish of food was $125.00 Im not in that income range. Wont be going back.
You order on your phone and process payment and then they bring it to you. I get that it is supposed to be covid friendly with no menus nor POS machine, but it felt almost like a layer of service was removed. We ordered multiple things at different times and had to fill out the online form several times as opposed to engaging in talks with a server and being able to add things to our bill. Part of going to a restaurant experience was removed with this method. Other than that, food was great!
Everything Anthony Rose touches is gold. This place is my happy place!! Will go back again and again. The chicken shawarma plate is perfection. Highly highly recommend the saffron rice. The hummus and broccoli dishes are also must haves. Super flavorful and filling. Lots of meat and veggie options which I appreciate. The portions are very generous and I look forward to leftovers the next day. The staff are all so kind and friendly upon pick up for take out.
I always had problems remembering the name of that utterly cool restaurant until I learned Fet Zun means fat son in Yiddish. This cozy restaurant with its many nooks and crannies and large back patio offers a luxurious bohemian atmosphere that lends itself perfectly to fragrant dishes and shareable mezzes. The delectable Zaatar fries are one of the delights of Fet Zun. The zaatar, a blend of aromatic spices, gives an exquisite taste to their oven-baked fries (which greatly diminishes the feeling of guilty pleasure while eating them). The last time I went there, for brunch, they offered a great breakfast sandwich, which we washed down with a very fine cocktail. Nice way to start the weekend. You can then walk up Spadina Street north of Dupont and reach the Baldwin Steps in five minutes, for some cardio. From the top of these historic steps, which bring you closer to Casa Loma, there is a great view of Spadina as it descends into the center of town. Note: Spadina Street descends for 1.25 km before becoming the avenue of the same name. The gardens of the Spadina House/Historic Museum (285 Spadina St., at the top of the Baldwin Steps, on the right) are free to explore and are lovely in the early spring.
Not honest. They add a processing fee of 3% on your bill without telling you about it ahead of time. When you ask the waiters what it s for they don t really know how to explain it. My bill wasn t high but that s not the point - it s the principle. It s shady and disrespectful to your clients.
I really liked the chicken pita I ordered
The food is 10/10 The staff is 12/10. Honestly some of the best service in Toronto. They always know about the ingredients and are happy to take special requests. If they arent sure, they will always double check with the kitchen. The patio is a great spot for dogs too!
Perfect spot for summer hangout with your partner or friends. They have such a cute patio. You have to order the Mezes platter when you visit. It s the best dish on the menu, definitely worth it. The pita bread was SO soft and the apricot dip was my fave (but they said they are getting rid of it, PLEASE KEEP IT). We also got the chicken shawarma plate which was good as well. They also have variety of summer cocktails which I d recommend getting. If you love middle eastern food, you should check out this place!
Truly a delight. Great service and tasty food. Yum.
Good food but they charge a processing fee to pay your bill. Insane.
Tasty shareable dishes. Interesting drinks also.
As a chef, and as somebody who lived in the middle east I cannot reccomend this place enough. Fantastic staff, and just some of the best food you can eat. The price point is more than reasonable and you will not regret your dining experience here. Big shout out to chef Mona!
Amazing food, good portion sizes & value for this calibre. We had the mezze platter and chicken shawarma plate, which was a massive meal for 2. The back patio was comfortable and informal, and the service was friendly. Highly recommended. Vegetarian options: Plenty of appie & full-meal vegetarian and vegan options.
The place is really nice, the staff is very friendly and knowledgeable of the menu. Food is delicious but nothing remarkable. Leave space for the dessert, it was the best plate in terms of taste. And second of the night, the crispy eggplant.
Delicious food with a great patio set up. Portion sizes are massive and the food is delicious and so flavourful. The servers were incredibly friendly, helpful and pleasant. Solid spot for middle eastern food in the city!
Among the top 5 restaurants that Ive ever had the pleasure of patronizing! Their house drink is like imbibing heaven and their service is impeccable. The cuisine was the best middle eastern fare that Ive ever eaten outside of the middle east and they serve the only falafel outside of Israel that I have ever loved. They helped to make my cousins wedding an appropriately once in a lifetime occasion, though I hope to be able to go there multiple times in the coming years.
We went for dinner with friends. The atmosphere is delightful, the staff are fantastic and every single dish we ordered (including the cocktails) was delicious. The flavours are incredible. What a great spot. So many more items in the menu that we wanted. We will be back.
Big fan of Anthony Rose s restaurants, and this may very well be the the best yet. I miss Bar Begonia, but this was a worthy successor. I was there on opening night and now a few weeks later. I m jewish, love middle eastern food, and have had some of the best in Toronto or elsewhere. And I can unhesitantly say that this is the BEST PITA I HAVE EVER HAD, twice now. It may seem silly to talk about the pita when everything else is so good, but it s that. good. But on that note, everything else IS so good. I have yet to order something that didn t cause me or my fellow diners to emit an involuntary primitive noise of some sort. Highly recommend the flat breads, as many mezze dishes as you can justify. As for mains, so far have tried the mixed grill (Anthony knows his meats), broccoli, shawarma, all excellent. Pretty sure you can t go wrong here. Update: theyre now doing lunch/brunch. Highly recommend.
Amazing experience! Server was super personable with great recos, and owner even came to sit down with us to check in on experience. Food was great and came quickly. Had a cute back patio (wouldn t know from the front) with lots of seating. Excellent experience overall!
Highly recommend!! Amazing dishes, great service and atmosphere. A true gem in the city
Fet Zun is a really nice space inside and out. The back patio is really big and has many large tables. Awesome place to come to as a group for some incredible middle eastern food. The hummus is great. You can really tell that its high quality and it has a delicious fresh texture. The pita bread complemented it really well - soft, with a rich texture and not too doughy or too hard. The sea bream served with tarter sauce and lemon was a huge highlight. Perfectly seasoned and very flavourful. Similarly, the halloumi with pomegranate was amazing. - if they have any specials on the menu I recommend trying them. The drink was not disappointing either - a unique, fresh, spicy mango margarita topped off an amazing dinner.
Ambiance and service - 5 Only tried Mezze (3 dips) - 1 Ingredients tasted fresh, olive oil tasted good and pita bread was very good (sadly not made on premises ) Flavour profile was too bland and texture was non existent like gooey glue. Typical problem with using fast comercial strength blender and over blending<-you make glue. Simple fix, switch to food processor, they cant go too fast Too bad, was looking forward to this. Cant comment on anything else as I havent tried it, although, for a middle eastern food place not able to pull off a killer hummus is not encouraging
Fun place to eat. Food was delicious, although the portion was a little smaller than I expected for the price.
Excellent food but super, super $$$$$
Average food. Mediocre service. Shared the mezze platter and needed more pita. We were 5 people. Ordered pita. Didn t get it. Finally it was past last call server was very green and not clued in. She forgot the pita. couldn t get pita so couldn t eat a lot of the dips. Also ordered the Rosie cocktail and it did not taste like rose at all. Cool ambiance.
Phenomenal meal - A++ service, THE FLAVOUR!!! Amazing price points too , an affordable luxury in the city with a down to earth vibe - I love it here
Delicious
Mezze platter was excellent, chicken shawarma on za atar fries was pretty good although hella salty. Fair price for the quality and taste of the food, would come here again
The last few times I ve ordered the chicken shawarma plate, the fries and chicken have been super stale. I am never eating here again. Super overpriced and inedible.
I went to this restaurant for the second time last night with a large group of gals for a birthday celebration. I have always been pleased with the food, each time we got the platter. But when it came around to paying for the meal, we were told there would be a 18% auto gratuity, which is fine, but the server didn t include it in the bill and added 18% to each separate payment. There was also an 8$ Service fee due to covid? Not sure what that was about but kind of threw me off. Overall I like the service, the atmosphere and the food.
Very tasty and pleasant. special place. Definitely worth coming especially if there is an event
5+! Very tasty food and great service. Highly recommend to call ahead for a reservation.
The service was horrendous! The waiter REALLY did not want to be there! The food was not good at all. They make you order online instead of talking to the waiters. The place is waaaaaay over-hyped. I DO NOT recommend. Also, advertises as Israeli when its Lebanese, Syrian and PALESTINIAN FOOD. CULTURAL APPROPRIATION at its finest.
Super tasty Mediterranean dips! Everything was delicious except the falafel which tasted a bit burnt, but the restaurant was so kind as to comp it. Great vegetarian options and the staff were very kind.
Food is amazing! The chicken is so flavourful, and I love the sauces. Dont sleep on the falafel. Overall really good
Amazing experience! The food was awesome, and the staff and atmosphere were equally as great. I will be back again
Had a reservation for a birthday lunch... waitress was unaware and didnt care... even claimed that they dont do reservations (i received a text and an email confirming our reservation). She asked us for our drink order and never saw her again (another waiter took our order finally) until the kitchen closed where she asked us if we wanted to order any more food.... as the kitchen was closing. I was planning on having a few more drinks and desert but because of the poor service, we didnt have time and felt extremely unwelcome. She was slowly cleaning off her remaining tables and waiting for closing time to make us leave faster (we were also unaware that the restaurant closed at that time since Google gave us a completely different closing time). The food however, was really good. The portions were small for the price though. I definitely wont be going back. Vegetarian options: decent vegetarian options. No bread option for gluten free.
Had a fantastic meal here. The mezze platter was just incredible, my two favourites were the hummus and whipped feta. The service was top notch too, Desiree in particular did a great job as our server and Ty made our drinks phenomenally
Damn, Zun!
Everything was perfect. Amazing food, the staff was really kind. I loved the experience.
Really cool, inclusive vibe upon entry. Love the design; very Anthony Rose and eclectic. Our server was a very friendly and entertaining young lady who made us feel very comfortable. We had a table of 6 reservation and they sat us immediately. The food was all tapas and incredibly delicious. Chicken shawarma was so tasty and the sauces that accompanied were so fresh tasting. The fries are a must and the whipped feta was the most mouth wateringly delicious little cloud that just smashed you with flavour and dissolved in your mouth. Would definitely go back.
Delicious food, great service and fantastic vibe.
Great customer service
We had a wonderful meal and experience. The food as so fresh and tasty. We ll be back.
We got the Mezze dish for our table and it was amazing! Great for two vegetarians to share. From the olives to the Labneh with a hint of sweetness, everything was full of flavor and delicious. A stylish and artsy atmosphere on the inside and in the patio area. A very memorable meal!
Very friendly and patient order taker. One wall full of chalkboard menu items - in cool script. They stay true to their focus on Israeli food. I love the bar jutting out into the main dining room. The sound carried so it is a very lively experience.
Good was lovely and the service was even better! Thank you Jonna and Ginger!
Ordered the vegetarian platter last night to have as appetizers for a BBQ we were having and the food was delicious and quickly devoured by everyone
super cool ambiance , creative interior . I really liked the vibe , all details in decoration and camp style setup . food was goof , recommending the mezza platter to share
Service was great, tables were appropriately distanced. Good time had by all.
Amazing staff, outstanding food. Patio is pretty covered. We were there during a torrential downpour and barely got wet. We dine here often now
Excellent; great food, great service, great atmosphere!
I love this place more than life itself.
Crispy eggplant is out of this world! The Fet Zun Hummus, charred broccoli and fries - all amazing. The staff was so kind and so welcoming. Will definitely be back.
Delicious food in a great environment! Generous portion sizes and a great value across the board. Perfect for sharing and so fun to try so many plates! Ordering online at the table is an option, but they also are more than happy to serve you traditionally, and our server was fantastic! A great spot for dates, family, and friends :)
We have read about this place in internet and decided to give a shot. The design and atmosphere: 7/10, patio is fairly designed and creates a unique atmosphere, however those shelter/bunker style tables are not the best Meze Plate: 5/10 The size is small compared to price, 32 cad for a starter should be enough for at least 2 people. The taste of mezes are average Falafel 8/10 the only thing that we liked was the falafel, it was crispy collard green falafel. We liked it. Dessert, Halva skor bar Sundae, 3/10, seriously? A sundae with few pieces of Halva on it? The taste was exactly same as McDonald, except price is 14 Cad.
Fantastic meal, great service, super cool patio.
Cool being on their patio-it felt like you were camping. They had a fire going and offered blankets. Delicious food and fun drinks. Their desserts looked yummy. Great service.
Great food and service. Huge patio outside + large space inside. Fantastic food and a lot of vegetarian options. The platter for three is more than enough for 4 people. Left very full and having tried many different dips and snacks.
Ordered the platter for 3. Fantastic food and fantastic portions. One of the best meals Ive had all year.
Both service and food were pretty decent. Interior design was also very modern and creative. But prices were much higher than expected. If you see the prices on Google Map shared 2 years ago, some items had now their price increased by 50%+. The chopped eggplant dip is now $18 (!!!) instead of $8. Sweet shrimp is now $29 instead of $19. They also attempted to charge a processing fee in the final bill that was never mentioned in the menu. It s only $2 but I think it s wrong solely based on principle. It was taken off the bill after we asked about it.
Great food, good portions, super helpful staff
Perfect for sharing, our takeout order was delicious and way more food than we thought! Honestly one of my favourite places in Toronto.
