I had a great experience here with my friends. The food is incredibly delicious and very hygienic. The owners are also very sweet people. I was also impressed by the music and the atmosphere. I highly recommend it. Vegetarian options: There are several vegetarian option since there is also great meze served. Dietary restrictions: They are asking for any specialty, limitation or food allergy we have. Kid-friendliness: Comfortable for children because it is spacious. Wheelchair accessibility: The restaurant is on the main floor and it is spacious.

I am definitely visiting their for treleche it is super yummy also when we go to a restaurant its not just the food its also the vibes and the ppl who serve , KUBRA was superbbbbb u slayed it girl ur smiling face and ur welcoming nature made our visit more fun we definitely enjoyed the food and the service .don t hesitate to visit their guyz

This one goes on my list of top places in Toronto EDIT: While the review above was true 3 years ago when they first opened, their quality and service went downhill, only the high prices remained. Still good, but we cant recommend this restaurant anymore, which is disappointing

Amazing food and amazing staff. Such a wonderful place to eat every visit. It can be busy at times but the staff are very caring and work efficiently as they can to serve everyone. Wish I could give more than 5/5 stars.

I dined here 5 years ago and it was great, so I suggested this restaurant for a get together with some friends I hadn t seen in years. I was truly embarrassed by the end of the meal and had to apologize for bringing them here. The server was utterly confused and kept telling us the menu changed and items were no longer available. When we ordered he came back to tell us there was no chicken breast. We ordered something else to find out it was also unavailable. I finally ordered shakshuka and I received a pile of French fries with tomato sauce on top. The rest of the food was just ok. We sat on the patio which had several patrons in a Friday night, but the inside was empty with no tables. So bizarre.

This restaurant is one of my favourites. I have been there several times, and everything was great. I highly recommend it.

We really wanted to love this place and were excited to try their menu. Unfortunately, after two amazing appetizers (one, hummus and the other, a complimentary appetizer of delicious chili/sundried tomato dip and charcoal bread) everything went downhill. Our mains were okay, but nothing like what we d expected. Solid food, but just a bit bland, and the service was incredibly slow. Our finished plates sat in front of us for about 40 minutes (they still had not been cleared when we left) and we waited about the same amount of time for our bill (we had to ask for it twice). They seemed very understaffed, and by the time our waiter was joined by other staff to help him, the wait had been too long and the damage was done. This restaurant could benefit from some professionally-trained wait staff, and more than just one. If even the service had been as good as the appetizers, there s no question we would have returned.

Great meat dishes, great service and presentation. The desserts served as treats in the last leg cannot be explained but experienced. Thanks to the staff and owners. Highly recommended.

This restaurant is in my opinion a hidden gem. No frills atmosphere, fantastic food. We ve been here a few times with my wife and we really enjoy it. The quality of ingredients, presentation, richness of taste and customer care make it one of our favourite neighborhood go to s. This is by far the best Turkish restaurant in Toronto. It is not only serving the most known traditional Turkish disshes aka kebabs. They serve amazing dishes from different cuisines which has affected Turkish cuisine over history. We enjoy this place all around the year but they also have a patio which makes it even better in the warmer weather. They also serve Raki and mezzes. It is a must try Vegetarian options: They have amazing vegetarian options. The soup is to die for and the salads are out of this world!

Let s start by saying this is not authentic Turkish food. This is more of a bar than a turkish restaurant. The menu items are overpriced and undercooked. I got the eggplant kebab. I was thinking it is AliNazik which is authentic Turkish food, but they came out with two beef skewers and half baked (raw) sweet potato? Carrot? Food was bland. Service was rushed. I wouldn t come here if you never tried Turkish food.

I ordered food from them at home by calling in advance and saying what I wanted, I received incredibly delicious, perfect tender meat. It was so delicious that I almost died! Ill definitely try something else from them. I recommend

This is one of my first experiences of Turkish food, and, boy, did it open a world for me! Since coming here I have been on the lookout for more tasty Turkish food, and this has been one of my favourites. The dips were so tasty, especially the red pepper one. Loved the charcoal bread that it came with. The char and flavour on the meat was a party in my mouth, and the other elements on the meat dish made the meat shine. Lovely presentation for this one! I would gladly come back here!

If you love high quality freshly prepared food, you should give this place a try. This is a small family owned restaurant. They take a good care of their customers. The service is great and food is amazing. Keep in mind that main course portions are pretty big.

Had the lamb and beef kebab plate. It was at best a $16 plate and thats being generous. They gave a 1/4 cup of rice, 1/8 cup of grilled onions, 2 quarters of a naan (small sized naan), 2 medium sized kebabs, and a teaspoon of this spicy tomato paste. Everything was delicious, but cmon for $32? Food was delicious, portions were small, price is steep.

I must say I was skeptical walking into the restaurant, but from the moment I was seated and on the level of excitement kept on growing. The ambiance was nice. The interior design was quite unique and tasteful. The service was perfect - without bothering with too many visits to ask if something is needed but always available on eye contact. The serving dishes and plates are fabulous, what a nice touch to enrich the experience! Now onto the main part - the food - WOWzza! There is something for every single pallet. I tried veggie and meat dishes and I couldn t believe they came from the same kitchen, that s how different but fantastic they were (no taste recycling). Most importantly, the meats were not overspiced or overdone, which reveals the true meat quality. Compliments to the chef and the owners! I m definitely coming back - I decided to try every single menu item :).

It s one of the nicest places in Toronto. Soulful, artsy, cultural, nested in Bloor West Village, easily accessible by subway too. We dined there few times, attended few private parties at the restaurant, and also organized ours. Irem and Serhat, owners, are wonderful hosts. Always there to greet you with lots of love and care. You will feel so well taken care of, like you are a special guest in their house. Food is the best Turkish food I ever had. Delicious, anything you taste. My favourite appetizer is Atlantis. A must try! Also, you will notice that everything is served in beautiful, modern dishes, which are custom designed by the owners, Serhat and Irem. Sometimes they have live music, by carefully chosen artists who perform not just Turkish, but music from all around the world. I super highly recommend that you visit the place and taste the food. It will be one of the best experiences you have ever had in this part of the world, I vouch for it!

This is the dining experience you ve been looking for!! It certainly was for me, my only mistake is meeting one friend here for a catch-up chat .we needed MORE people to sample more of the menu! I m a Toronto born south-Asian who knows very little about Turkish food but I asked a local foodie friend where to go and he told me this is the spot. 3 things made this a 10/10 for me (and I m a frequent business traveler for work so it s rare a restaurant really knocks me off my feet like this): 1) Straight-up, the food is outstanding. It s from different regions of Turkey so ask your server questions about it, do not be embarrassed. This is a family business and they are proud to share and guide you through to have a great experience. I love steak and the charcoal fire method here brought us Lamb so tender, succulent and delicious we already planned what we will eat on our next visit (with more friends) 2) The decor, atmosphere and vibe are a rich experience in an area falling prey to mediocre chain after chain after chain. I even stayed after my guest left to just explore some of the unique decor and soak it in. That ceiling! 3) When I sat down the owner introduced themselves and as it was my first visit, shared their vision, how to enjoy my visit by being bold with food choices and honestly the man spoke to me like family. Warm, caring for my enjoyment of his food and although it s a little more pricey then the chains next door, the food + experience was perhaps underpriced. I hate that my pictures just can t do the place, decor and food justice. Was there for a meeting with a friend and I don t like to take too many pictures when I m with people but wow, the plating and even the cutlery were of such thoughtful design, I can see them in my mind still, hours later. Hidden gem, loved their bigger tables for groups and families the joy, the culture the clear care for every detail. Will see them again soon, highly recommend. Tip: It s steps from Transit and there is a safe/cheaper Green P city parking lot across the street (saving you from sketchy impossible parking on Bloor) across from the TTC station. Perfect location. Best to call for reservations, they don t have a great website but it s legit.

Awesome tastes and smells! It was our first visit to Flame and we werent disappointed. The meze (appetizers) on the menu were varied, interesting, and tasty. Two people could make a nice meal by ordering three meze, a salad, and no main course. The main courses were pretty varied too, but lamb is definitely a focus of the menu. We shared the grilled lamb ribs and they were cooked perfectly. With the big grill in the front section of the restaurant, the place smells amazing! The decor is rustic and wood themed and feels very authentic. Since its a small restaurant, the tables are pretty close together so its pretty intimate and cozy ... we struck up a conversation with our neighbouring tables. All-in-all, it was a nice night and very good food!

Not your ordinary Turkish food what an amazing coincidence that took us this Ramadan evening to Flame. Once they new we were fasting they brought us dates and water We enjoy making food for people who love to try new tastes said chef Serhat Now when I see a chef comes to talk to his costumers I know I m in good hands. Fantastic service and excellent food. We walked in just after 1 on a Sunday. Unbeknownst to us, it was just the chef present at the time. He seated us, served us, and even poured our tea for us. They hooked us with the charcoal bread. We had a great time and even ordered 2 desserts. 10 out of 10 would visit again.

The chicken breast dish just melted in the mouth ..how did they make it so much soft and it was delicious. They serve black bread with oil dip complimentary - that was awesome too..nice cozy ambiance ..highly recommended and looking forward to trying more Turkish delicacies from this place

One of the best dine-in experiences i ve had. A staff member named Irem went above & beyond by guiding us through the entire menu explaining each dish, as my date & i were unfamiliar with Turkish cuisine. the food was outstanding and eye-opening to say the least. And the interior was especially wonderful. Thank you to all of the staff members and thank you Irem, your service was impeccable. Will definitely be coming back for more! (like, tomorrow haha)

Dont let the casual first impression or wobbly stair rail fool you -- the food is amazing. Wed recommend every dish we were able to try (we were full after one appetizer each and sharing a main dish), and we look forward to returning to try more of the menu. What an abysmal dining experience. Horrible service. The service is extremly slow. Servers dont speak English. We had order things several times because they were not being served to us. Food is way overpriced and mediocre at best. The best dish was a Kebab $36. You can get a better Kebab a block away for $15. After a $400 bill we were asked to leave because there was another party waiting to take our table. We all finished the evening feeling very disappointed with the whole experience... A restaurant with this food and service wouldnt survive a week in Turkey.

The appetizers were amazing and the plates were extremely pretty, mostly the Atlantic. The main plate was the lamb ribs and it was extremely fatty, it was mostly fat which we told the owner about and they said that it is the authentic way to make the meal and the sides were cold. But I ve had lamb at many places and it doesn t taste like that to be honest. And it made us feel a bit sick after. Overall, it was a good experience. Amazing hospitality. :) the issue was the main course and they charged us for something that we did not want.

My friends and I had a great experience trying this neighbourhood restaurant for the first time. The food presentation was amazing, and the taste did not disappoint. I found the portion sizing to be perfect, and the atmosphere was very pleasant (we chose the patio). We ll be back.

Such a beautiful hidden rooftop patio they had! Ive never tried much Turkish food before but it was amazing! Owners Irem and Serhat are so passionate about their food, culture and design! They had a story behind every drink and dish and we learned more about Turkish culture through their meal. I absolutely loved their octopus!

There are more than 100 kebab restaurants opened by Turks in Toronto, but there is more to this place than just a meal. Of course, I will tell you the story and tastes of each plate that comes to the table, but I suggest you experience it and taste those flavors.

The service was great the food delicous my friend treated me there Her mom had the Atlantis wich said was delicious and look amazing. We shared the beef Kebabi and the Chicken kebab also as entre we shared the Meza where the server heped us with 3 options that reprenseted 3 parts of Turkey I hod no Favorites its all Delicious

We recently got to explore Flame Neo Anatolian food and this was more than just a night out for dinner. It was a whole artistic experience. This is a family run spot in west Toronto that offers a design store, cafe, restaurant bar along with live events and a beautiful rooftop patio. You can see the love for design in the presentation of the food. We were very fortunate to get a history of Anatolia culture and food and received amazing hospitality from the owners. Highly recommend getting a platter to try different items. Favourites include the charcoal bread, mad apple (eggplant appetizer), the octopus, the seafood meatball and the laz boregi (baklava with custard). And if you are really feeling a strong drink, try the Turkish drink, Yen Raki, which is 45% alcohol! Make sure to check them out if you are in the Bloor West area! Parking is available and it is also right across from Runnymede station.

Great Turkish fusion dishes.

Not coming back again and would not reccommend this place! The food tastes average, and extremely expensive for the quantity. It took so long for the food to be served, and on average we paid $70/person and left the restaurant hungry, had to go to another place to eat after. The sides that are served with the main dishes are a joke (a slice of an orange and two pieces of black berries but they are described inaccurately on the menu). I get the Turkish atmosphere that the restaurant is looking to provide, but this is far from an authentic experience, ive been to turkey many times and to turkish restaurants, I would rate this as 1/10.

Places this good make a neighbourhood a great place to live. The rooftop patio is a true hidden gem. The food is incredible but I want to mention the beer: perfectly served Czechvar. Beautifully cold, with a nice head, and in a substantial glass stein. Exactly as it should be.

Food was definitely on the pricer side, but the atmosphere was amazing and service was relatively quick and very kind to us, would visit again!

My husband and I had our 10th anniversary dinner here. If I could give Irem and her husband 10 stars for their restaurant, I would. Last night, I went to Flame Food+Design for the first time, and I cant find the words to describe how amazing my experience was. Congratulations to the chef and all the staff for not only creating incredibly tasty dishes but also for crafting such a welcoming and cozy environment that makes anyone feel at home. Secondly, the food presentation and flavors were so extraordinary that I forgot to take pictures myself! I started with the Cretan paste with fresh house-made toasts, and later enjoyed the lamb shank (Dobo) and the beef top sirloin steak (Capoeira) for the main course. Believe me when I say I had one of the best lamb dishes of my life at Flame! It was so rich and tender wow! I had forgotten the feeling of excitement and pure joy after tasting such an amazing dish. Thirdly, the patio is super cute, the music is not overly loud, allowing for easy conversation and the enjoyment of each other s company. The service is top-notch, and the cocktails are a blast! I will definitely be returning there many more times.

REALLY enjoyed this restaurant. Beautiful rooftop patio, very nice presentation, food was delicious with good size portions, service was great. It seemed like every staff member in the restaurant wanted to make sure things were going well and cared. The way they serve the raki (traditional Turkish drink) was also very nice. Will 100% be returning.

We were excited to try this place based on the reviews and the charcoal grill. The patio is really cute with a good ambiance, rest of the restaurant inside seemed bare. Out of everything we ordered we only liked the lamb ribs. The kebab was lacking in flavor and the texture was off. The hummus was lacking flavour as well (a little more salt and oil would fix it).

I had a great experience with Flame Food+Design, they had a lovely patio on the top floor and the service was excellent. I had one mix up but was quickly rectified. The food is delicious, I am starting to make my rounds to a handful of Turkish restaurants and I am not sure where I would place this in my personal rank list. But to be objective this is a great spot for authenticity and creative forward dishes. Hummus with crispy chickpeas, charcoal bread with a side of sauce (cant remember what it was called), and the kebab plate had some additional comments that really added a nice layer of flavour. The crispy chickpeas added a very nice crunchy element to a really smooth, not too garlicky hummus, pita and breads were baked well, although charcoal is not something I am particularly interested in nor taste but still great with the sauce. And the kebab plate, everything seasoned really well already but the extra side of salt and this tomato-like paste was very delicious. I cleaned up the plate as everything was great. It is a nice Turkish spot for the bloor west area.

We ve lived in Bloor West Village for years and this was hands down the best meals we ve had in the area, and even in Toronto as a whole. Great service, nice rooftop patio, delicious food. Definitely get the mezze platter and any of the kebabi - you won t be disappointed. Will come back again.

I cant say enough about how fabulous this place is. The food was amazing! There was so much on the menu that looked great and we ordered way too much food for two people. But we had no regrets whatsoever. The wife of the chef waited on us and she was delightful. The chef also came out towards the end of our meal and we got to thank him personally for a truly memorable meal. We dined between lunch and dinner and sat on the outdoor terrace and it was just perfect. Im a foodie and it takes a lot to impress me; I was definitely impressed by this place.

Nice atmosphere, welcoming and friendly staff and of course, delicious meal! I do recommend Atlantic $18, which is seafood flitter with turmeric and dill sauce. I would go back for special dinner again. Black bread and oil, fried seafood stuffed with turmeric and dill sauce...its so delicious, I highly recommend it! The staff were very friendly, perhaps from Turkey, and I had a pleasant meal.

i went here last week, and I just had to post a review. This is a great spot. If you live in the neighbourhood you should definitely go. the kebabs were freshly made and grilled over charcoal, the mezzes were great.It s a family owned restaurant and it has the vibe of somebody who cares about the place. I ve passed by many times and never really knew what it was but it s really really good Turkish food.

First time here and did not disappoint. The atmosphere is super intimate yet busy. The service is impeccable especially the complimentary charcoal bread that was served tasted absolutely amazing. And for main course had the chicken breast skewers dinner, the simplicity of this dish has left me wanting more it s packed with flavour and meat was cooked to perfection and was juicy and tender, hats off to the chef !!! Would definitely come back here again.

Grill master Ady was amazing in hospitality and the lamb he cooked was mouth watering and so full of meaty flavour , one of the best I had. 5 stars to the Ady and his amazing cheerful personality

By far the best Kebabs Ive had in the GTA. Mezes were full of flavour, authentic and absolutely delicious. Will go back.

While the mezze are good, make sure you save room for the charcoal grilled meat platters which are OUTSTANDING. I also highly recommend their creative, beautiful, and delicious selection of raki based cocktails (for those who love anise). We will definitely be back!

Nice atmosphere. We ordered two glasses or wine and 2 babouri ___ (don t remember the name). Very filling and tasteful. The pieces of meat were not as tender as we thought which was surprising considering this is a meat place. They brought us dark bread and a very tasty sauce as a complementary appetizer.
