I love Florette.The food is incredible. You might as well do the Chefs Choice special because everything is delicious. The vibe is exactly what I am looking for when I go out for dinner in the city. Authentic. Sexy. Understated. *Recommend sitting at the bar and chatting with the bartender while he casually throws a cocktail to perfection. Order the Hamachi Crudo.

Excellent food and service. Beautiful warm mood lighting that sets the perfect ambience for a date night. The furniture and decor were high quality. I had the trout and the sauce was perfectly flavourful with a crispy skin on the fish. My fiancé had the striploin. Great flavour!

Quite disappointed with customer service here, we were emailing about a full venue buyout when they stopped replying to my emails, even though I confirmed our reservation and we were just waiting on the contract. Followed up a couple times then called, when they finally told me theyd given the spot to a different group. Pretty let down they didnt even email to let us know. I know its a busy season but we thought this was locked in, only be told otherwise after having to chase down an answer. Unfortunate, another new Toronto establishment I wont be supporting.

This was a shockingly good experience all around. We just happened to stop in on a Tuesday while visiting from NYC. I like to think New York has the best restaurants in the world. Wow were we surprised when we were treated to a master set of culinary, cocktail and service delights at Florette. Where to start? Try everything because the chefs here are experimenting with flavors and clearly playing at another level. Each dish felt meticulously considered. Sautéed mushrooms packed with flavors. Hamachi Crudo combined with a delicious sauce and surprising texture. The salad was everything a salad dreams to be. The pastrami with deconstructed pea soup so creative. The trout somehow was both light and rich. The penne vodka a paragon of simple elegance. The pork chop a beautiful mystery combination of southwestern meets Jamaican flavors? Then my favorite their Doflamingo tequila / mezcal drink infused with adobo genius! By the time we got to dessert we just said yes. It was a chocolate tart with the perfect combination of crunch, sweetness, and melt in your mouth goodness. Again, the kitchen nailed it. Bravo to the entire team. This is what winning tastes like

Came here for a dinner with six people, and it was wonderful -- ambience, hospitality, food, etc.

Service started out great. Friendly, knowledgeable server. Great cocktails. Good wine. Delicious apps and mains, beautifully plated. Beautiful if small room. We were seated at a table that butted right up, uncomfortably close, to a booth which is placed in the window, facing the dining room. So we felt like we were sitting with the people in the booth. Our reservation was for 6:30. An hour and a half in, the four of us had finished eating our mains. The plates weren t yet cleared.but the server told us we had the table for just 15 more minute and that they had two other reservations for that table. We could order dessert but we d have to be gone in 15 minutes. We didn t order dessert. And before we knew it, our coats were at the table. While everything tasted good, we left the restaurant with a bad taste in our mouth having been rushed out. We won t be back.

Great meal & nice interior - get the mushrooms, beats & clams, would probs not get the pork chops and chocolate tart if I return (still tasty though)

Been a regular here since they ve opened and have always had a positive experience. I ve come to know the staff by name and have always been treated exceptionally. Food is 10/10 and their carefully curated cocktail menu always has me impressed. Jerry, harlie, Alex and Glenn - you guys have always been so kind to me.

We really enjoyed our evening at Florette. We did the $80 chefs menu with wine pairings. Much of it was very good - just a couple items that didn t sing to us. Sadly, the duck was quite tough, but the flavour was great! We also really enjoyed the wine pairings, really thoughtful and well suited for the foods. Would definitely try it again!

Service was impeccable, the space itself was perfect. It s rare I get high top seating and am comfortable throughout the whole meal, but the chairs were great. The food was cooked perfectly but oversalted (I got the sea bass for reference), and the butter for the bread was also too salty. The rigatoni was really good, but I almost always feel like I could recreate something similar at home, and this didn t make me feel differently.

Left speechless the chef and owner have created a michelin star worthy restaurant. Its a hidden gem.. Just brilliant

Tiny place, so make reservations. I was only there for dessert and cocktails, but cant wait to return for dinner. Their dessert, the chocolate tart, was delicious and rich. The cocktails were inventive and tasty, but a few on the list were unavailable, which was a shame.

Great Restaurant! Great service and staff! We ordered the $80 chef choice, and most are delicious! Are favourites are the Manila clams, the duck, and the tomato dish! Flavour explosion! The dessert was also excellent!

Despite the dessert being amazing I wish there was another option - perhaps more fruity and light..but it was a great experience and will come back soon!

Beautiful decor, cute eclectic cocktails. Would recommend the Chefs menu! Every dish was unique and the flavours worked so well together. Our server was excellent and we felt very much taken care of. Would definitely dine here again.

The food was delicious but the mains are very very literal. I got the $85 steak main and all I got was a sliced piece of steak, there s no sides to the meal. For the price you d think you would get some potato or side salad option. No literally just steak on a plate. Very very good steak but for $85 I d expect a real meal with various food groups

All of it is amazing, their kitchen was closing in 10 mins they still served us with amazing food, I d highly recommend their marinated mushroom. The portion size was just right and their food has so much flavour. Jaby was kind enough to share insights about every meal before serving. It s a must try place.

Fantastic customer service, unreal rigatoni, superb cocktails. What a great little spot in Queen West. 100% going back there for the Rigatoni!!

Came here for a friends bday dinner and truly loved it. My friend has celiac and is pregnant at the moment, and when we ordered the chef s menu, everything was tailored to her sensitivities. The staff was lovely, drinks were great, really good experience all around.

Such a cute spot!! Tried the hamachi crudo, marinated mushrooms and rigatoni. Everything was delicious. Great cocktails as well. Weird but surprisingly good: picked pear martini.

Place is gorgeous. We sat at the bar and Isaiah, a newer bartender, took good care of us. He sold us on both specials (a ricotta agnolotti with mushrooms in a corn gravy, and trout with seared peaches in some sort of miso sauce) and both were delicious and beautiful to look at. Had marinated mushrooms and hamachi crudo to start, and mussels in nduja butter prior to the mains. Mussels were bonkers. Cocktails were very nice. Will definitely be back.

Told your closed but you have patrons still dining & drinking 5min before then make it make sense .snobby no ty found a nicer place elsewhere

One of the best experiences I have had in a while. Service was 10/10, friendly and attentive and super knowledgeable. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted right away by Anthony who brought us to our table. I highly recommend listening to their suggestions. Ian, Li, Alex, Glen, Isaiah and Jaby were all so helpful and ready to answer any question we had!! The cocktails are adventurous and delicious. How they got jerk flavour into a cocktail I ll never understand but my goodness was it magical. I also recommend doing the chefs choice. The chef sends out multiple dishes of their choice. Every bite was delicious and exciting as we didn t know what we were getting until it was in front of us. The staff explained every dish thoroughly which added to the ambiance and service. I really liked this option as I got to eat things I normally wouldn t have ordered but everything was so delicious it s hard to pick a favourite! The hand rolled rigatoni, hamachi crudo, duck breast, tomato salad and clams were amazing! I will 100% be coming back and recommending this place to anyone I know.

I m going to be really sad when more people find out that this is the best restaurant in the queen west area.

We had a reservation for a group of 6 on a Saturday night, and shared the chefs menu. It was great value and we were able to try some of almost everything on the menu - the amount of food was perfect and they were absolutely to lean the overall menu to accommodate our pescatarian with us (he skipped a couple courses and ate extra of others). We enjoyed every dish - especially the hamachi collar special, the rigatoni, mushrooms, and bread. The signature cocktails were amazing too! Service was very good and well-paced. Overall a wonderful celebratory dinner.

Florette has an incredible menu and cocktail list. It has been on my list for a very long time, and I was finally able to come by this week with a dinner reservation to their patio. They advertise their back patio yet the patio atmosphere does not match the internal atmosphere whatsoever. It is *very* cramped and the furniture is of poor quality. Reminds me of a dive bar. Theres a similar review from last summer so clearly the restaurant hasnt done anything about it. Server declined to re-seat us inside due to lack of space, yet somehow found space for a different couple who had simply walked-in after us without a reservation. Unfortunately this has tainted my image of this highly desirable establishment. I am writing this review so those who want a nice date night during the summer make sure to book inside, not outside.

Servers were great. Cocktails were fantastic but took forever. The food was good but not anything to make a trip for. I d come back for the cocktails (maybe). All around it was just a little too slow for food and cocktails with this being quite underwhelming when it did arrive.

Small, intimate and delicious. Love that their menu changes while still keeping some popular dishes! Faves are their bread & butter, manila clams, rigatoni, striploin, rainbow trout and chocolate tart.

Cute and intimate restaurant! Great service, and it was super fun to go with the Chefs Menu. We had about 6 courses, and was very full at the end of it all. I also appreciated the detailed attention of the host to seat us in a cute corner booth to celebrate our anniversary with a bit of privacy from the rest of the restaurant. Thank you, Florette!

Fantastic food and service. A 4 on the otherwise lovely room only because it was EXTREMELY loud, but it was a Saturday at peak time and I dont think they could do much about this except take out a few tables but then lose $$$ so that wont happen! Overall, really enjoyed and would go back, on a Wednesday though and hope for a quieter experience.

Had an excellent time at Florette yesterday, every dish was perfectly flavoured. We had the bread, fish crudo, mushrooms, and striploin. My favorites were the crudo and steak. Will definitely come back for the clams and chocolate cake! We sat by the bar and it was nice seeing how much effort the bartenders put into the cocktails.

I had a good experience at Florette, located on Queen street west and Northcote avenue. The food was enjoyable, and the interior is beautifully decorated. I went with my sister, who started with the chicken croquettes and rated them 3.5/5. We both tried the chefs recommendation the roasted cauliflower which was nutty but, in my opinion, lacked a bit of flavor. The rigatoni was definitely the star of the show, with each pasta piece coated in a delicious vodka sauce and topped with parmesan cheese and a hint of spice. The food seems to be of high quality, and I would definitely come back to try more of their menu.

What an amazing restaurant! Food, Service, and Atmosphere were all spectacular! Our server Harley, was super helpful, fun, and made some great recommendations! The overall service team is also amazing, they were super on top of bussing and making sure our table was clean at all times! I ve never had a restaurant wipe our table and get the crumbs off while dining! I love it! We also never ran out of water! They were constantly on top of our table, making sure all of our needs were met without us even having to ask! 10/10 service. Food was 10/10, we came here for the rigatoni, and boy it did not disappoint! The mushrooms, clams, and even the bread and butter were all to die for! It was so good my group ordered a Round 2 of some dishes! I definitely want to come back to try the bone marrow and also the dessert! We were so stuffed! The atmosphere was very pleasant! Super cute, small, but bustling! The decor is very nice and it s not too dim inside like some other restaurants! Overall, this was an amazing experience! Perfect restaurant for any occasion! Birthday, anniversary, first date, catch up with friends, etc. I will definitely be back to dine again!

Beautiful small restaurant with charm. Excellent service, food and cocktails. However, it can get very loud at night. Prefer to be seated on the sides and not in the middle as there is a lot of traffic.

I have been hearing some great buzz about this place and I m glad I finally made it. Had a spectacular meal there. The service was perfect, and the food and drinks were excellent. The hamachi appetizer was the best hamachi I ve ever had - a fantastic mix of unexpected flavors and textures that were just WOW. A lovely (but compact) space as well. Definitely worth a visit!

Chef Chis Vietnamese pop-up menu was an absolute delight! I loved the creative interpretations of traditional dishes. The Tép Maques playful textures and luxurious caviar were a perfect start. My favorite was the Ph Bourguignon the pho spices created a unique depth of flavor (except if features with pandan rice, itd blow the industry away). I expertly paired the dishes with Chef Chis wine selections: white with the appetizers, rosé for the Bún Ch , Martini for the Canh chua and a King of Heart red alongside the pho. Service was attentive, and the experience felt truly special. Highly recommended for adventurous foodies!

Simply underwhelming food, cocktails and ambiance. Paid $140 for two and had to go elsewhere for dinner after. For the same price, better options on Queen or Ossington. Would not recommend or return.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Florette and opted for the Chef s Choice menu an experience that surpass all expectations. We indulged in 10 dishes and each one was a delightful surprise. The flavors were spot-on and the cocktails were delicious. We ll definitely be back!

I had a great dinner with a friend at Florette. Very cozy vibes and no loud music. Cocktails were incredible too. Only criticism is the plates are a tad small for the price. Still worth it, though.

Simply one of my favourite restaurants to go to for delicious food, the loveliest service and just a beautiful space to marvel at. We did the chef s tasting menu for $80pp and the value of this meal is insane, many waistbands were stretched to their limits lol Thank you team Florette, our group of 8 girls were so well taken care of!

Phenomenal tasting menu and service. The Rigatoni vodka was a little underwhelming compared to the rest of the menu items. A spaghetti limone or puttanesca would do well as a pasta dish in contrast with the tasting menu, especially after the clam dish. Two recommendations for the vodka sauce, would be some guanciale and or Gorgonzola cheese on top. All of the other dishes were fantastic!

Great little space that is easy to walk past if you arent looking. The interior is very cozy and inviting. The staff were great and attentive. We chose the chefs choice for $67 and they were able to accommodate our ask of no seafood. The amount of food was quite generous and we left STUFFED. Our top favourites were the juicy pork chop, marinated mushrooms, and airy chocolate tart. Maybe it was an off night but the roasted cabbage is skippable - nothing stood out about it. The cocktail menu is creative and interesting. We enjoyed the pickled pear martini and a carbonated cocktail made with gentian flowers. For those that do eat seafood, we only heard great things around us about Florettes signature dish, the Manila clams.

Everything at Florette was fabulous. Small restaurant and has a beautiful ceiling. Every dish we ordered was great. Manila clams were a hit with a bit of heat. The rigatoni was also one of my favourites of the night. Service was exceptional, fresh plates and cutlery with every dish, helped us understand the dishes and the staff genuinely having a nice drink at the bar after their shift. I wish this was closer to my area and I d be there more frequently!

Went there last night, but I don t think we ll be going back. Atmosphere was good, although the restaurant is very cramped for space. We couldn t keep our jackets with us, and the service insisted they hang them somewhere else to save space, I get it. The service was good, but we felt VERY rushed. Their sittings are not even 2 hours long so if you have a cocktail and a tasting menu be prepared to rush through all your dishes and eat dessert while paying the bill and having people waiting for you to get up and leave. For a $600+ dinner for four, we didn t appreciate being rushed, and haven t experienced this at similar restaurants. Maybe add 15-30mins to your seating times. We were struggling to finish the dishes before the next ones came. The veggie food was excellent and so were the cocktails, but they didn t have my first two choices so I settled for a manhattan. The meats on the other hand were poor. There is no bone marrow dish anymore so don t expect to get that, instead that dish was replaced with Pork Secreto with is basically the chewiest strips of pork fat that you ll ever have. We sent ours back (we didn t want a replacement), only to later be presented with another full dish of the very same pork we sent back. The sirloin was well cooked but needed salt, and I thought the duck was ok but the rest of the table disagreed, saying it was tough. We didn t try the ribeye. Dessert was delicious but we couldn t finish it because we had to vacate our table for the next guests. Overall it was an ok experience but maybe it s designed to share only a couple of dishes and have a drink. Definitely not enough time to have a full tasting menu without feeling rushed.

Came here for a date night last week and was blown away. We had the chefs menu and it was incredible - more specifically, the rigatoni alla vodka, clams, crudo, beets, everything impressed us. We loved the artistic cocktails and enjoyed how everyone who works there comes to the table at some point to engage with you about the many dishes we tried. Will definitely be back soon! Had a really great experience last night - bartenders were super fun, food was excellent, service was lovely, and ambiance was spot on. They have a really interesting drink menu but also made a great amaretto sour. We had the rigatoni, swordfish, clams, crudo and pork - everything was fantastic.

What a great Toronto gem! My husband and I celebrated an anniversary with dinner at Florette and the whole experience was fantastic from start to finish. As described by our server, there is no distinct type of cuisine and he recommended getting a few dishes to sample the menu. Every dish was extremely flavourful and the pacing between courses was timed perfectly. Highly suggest getting the bread and using it to soak up sauces from any of the dishes! It would be nice to see more than one dessert option, though the chocolate tart was decadent without being too rich. Theres an extensive cocktail menu with a variety of creative options, as well as plenty of traditional bar rail cocktails and wine. Service was excellent and attentive throughout. It is a small spot with only a few tables and bar seating, so it can feel a bit tight/cozy. The atmosphere is lovely, not too loud, and the restaurant is beautifully decorated -- that ceiling! Highly recommend: marinated mushrooms, manila clams, swordfish, and rigatoni

Had an amazing experience at Florette for dinner last night with some girlfriends. We ordered the Chefs Choice menu and it didnt dissapoint! The duck and striploin were cooked to perfection. Hamachi crudo and clams were the table favorite. Also highly recommend the orange creamsicle cocktail!! Service was great - staff is extremely friendly and attentive. Will definitely be back!

Came here and got a spot at the bar. Food was delicious and cocktails were super interesting. Ordered 6 dishes and not a single one was a let down, everything we ordered was amazing. Service was good and no major complaints. The timing of the food coming out was a bit all over the place, all our starters came out at once, and then we were left waiting for the rest while tables that ordered after us got service first.

Loved the vibe and loved the menu. Unique dishes that I havent seen elsewhere as there seemed to be more floral dishes as opposed to the usual butter heavy dishes. Definitely funky like their website suggests

Loved the intimate decor and of course the food. Big fan of the hamachi crudo, bone marrow, and chocolate tart. The waiters had very colourful personalities.

Florette made our Valentines dinner truly a memorable one. We were served their pre-fixed Valentines day menu which was very tasty, every dish was really a 5/5. Service was phenomenal as staff was always attentive and regularly checked in to ensure all was taken care of. The place itself is very cozy, obviously the main focal point is the beautiful flower art ceiling which did not disappoint. Would definitely recommend if youre looking for a date night or to celebrate a special occasion!

Went there for my sons birthday and the food was amazing!

Great experience, with delicious food, and considerate, charming and friendly staff. I would highly recommend for anyone looking for an intimate dining experience. Its unpretentious and easy, but also delivers on the details. I also enjoyed the space itself, which wasnt too big, and had tasteful decor. The drink and dining menu seemed to combine interesting flavours without being too alienating.

I recently stopped by for the Slow Jams pop-up. Service, food and atmosphere are top-notch. This is a very cozy neighborhood spot which deserves your time.

We sat at the bar with a 10pm reso and had an exceptional experience. Bar staff was fun to talk to, food and drinks were all hits.

Came here with a group of friends and tried everything on the menu! I must say that we were impressed and this new little restaurant has raised the bar for food for us in Toronto. Some of our highlights were: 1. Beets in the ground: it is mind blowing how they made beets taste so delicious! We are usually not fans of beets but we loved everything about this dish. I feel like vegetables are often glanced over on a restaurant s menu, but this is a must order. It is so refreshing and savory at the same time - highly recommend. 2. Roasted cabbage - this was also another hidden gem. Usually we wouldn t really order cabbage at a restaurant but we are so glad we got to try this! This is a must order as well - the texture was perfect and the taste profile was also fantastic. 3. Rigatoni - if you are a fan of carbone s famous spicy vodka rigatoni, we d say this is pretty comparable. It is savory, not too acidic with a hint of spice. Our rigatoni was cooked to perfection - al dente and we really have no complaints. 4. Corn pakoras - these were delicious as well and I don t think we ve had anything like this! Such a great appetizer and addition to your table to share. Honestly, everything else was also really delicious and I d highly recommend everyone to come with a few friends so can order the whole menu (the menu is not too big so this is totally doable). Aside from the food, the space is intimate & hip and it is a great spot for hanging out with friends or even a date night. Also recommend doing everything family style so you get to try a bit of everything!

Florette took us by surprise, in a nice way. The cocktails were well prepared, the dishes were highlighting the veggies and fruits perfectly, everything was very well balanced. The ambiance was also great. I d come back and would recommend if you re in the Queen West area.

Went tonight and I m so glad I did! The decor and ambience was great. Our server was lovely as were all the other staff I interacted with. The pork chop was delicious and unique. The chocolate tarte was very tasty. My friends meals looked good too, in particular the steak.

Bar florette: 4.5/5 The beet dish felt composed. Slightly sweet beet, cool sorrel leaves, and a goat cheese crema that was not as gamey as straight goat cheese would be but it was definitely goat cheese. The umami soil added an intriguing crunch, almost reminiscent of quinoa to me. For food, I also got the corn pakoras. Well fried, crunchy outside with a slightly soft inside. Nice bites of corn and the size of them were a nice snacking size as well. The romesco sauce didnt really taste of much to me, but at the very least it didnt take away from the corn pakora. Now, the biggest surprise for me, the Al Pastor cocktail. My fav cocktail Ive had ever. Creamy, slightly sweet, tropical feeling, very well hidden alcohol taste. And it came with a pineapple leather that is A1. Service was cool, bartenders were chill and attentive considering how busy they were. They also let me take an extra pineapple leather for the road when I asked so plus in my books. Place is super small, but I feel like they make good use of it. I feel like I got kinda lucky getting a spot, glad it was just me because Id probably need a reservation if I was with anyone else. Expensive imo, but I think every new place that opens in Toronto from this point on is gonna be what I consider expensive.

I discovered Florette byway of the lighting designer Huey Light Shop, and what a treat it was! The staff was welcoming and friendly from start to end. The space was sexy and cool with a beautiful ceiling design. As for the food, every dish was outstanding. I appreciated the order and cadence in which the food was brought out, enough time to savour each one without it feeling rushed or delayed. The beets were absolutely delicious, we couldn t get enough of them! (Pictured: Corn Pakoras, Beets in the ground, Roasted Cabbage, Rainbow Trout and Chocolate Tart) Dietary restrictions: The waiter asked if there were any dietary restrictions or allergies the kitchen should know about.

Ordered 4 dishes, the beets in the ground, manila clams, bone marrow, and the rainbow trout. Was most excited about trying the bone marrow but found hair in the dish and although they removed the bone marrow from the bill and also comped our first round of drinks, as well as added a chocolate dessert, it did affect the rest of our dining experience. Overall we enjoyed the concept of the dishes but we felt they missed the mark. My friend and I enjoyed the trout and gailan from the trout dish the most. Not sure if we came on an off night or if the reviews are inflated but thought to share our experience. Also noticed that the tables, with groups of four people (while we were two people) that arrived an hour later than us were served all their dishes and drinks before us. Seems like they are a bit short staffed and the space is a little cramped when busy. Pretty decor and a nice vibe.

Toronto is known for its diverse food culture and this place is the worst I have eaten at in a while. Rigatoni tasted like it was one of those frozen grocery store meals you microwave. Bone marrow was awful the chilli was too over powering. The golden berry salad was below average at best. Definitely recommend skipping this place as the ingredients aren t chosen with thought .

Came with a few friends, the owner was so lovely. They check your coat because it s quite a tight spot. Feels very exclusive and romantic. The bone marrow and chips is melt in your mouth good. Only downside (not worth taking away a star for) was that the drinks took quite a while and our second round of mains took almost an hour to come out. But hardly noticed because the atmosphere was so good

Ive booked a reservation for 4 people and so glad we did because our table was ready for seating the moment we arrived. Everyone there was exceptionally friendly and very attentive despite it being a full house that night. The arch cieling and the little decors are so romantic, it really adds to the ambiance and the whole experience. Weve ordered their bread & butter and chicken croquettes to start off and they came out fairly quick which was amazing because we were starving. Their Manila Clams and the sauce was superb - they give you bread to dip into the sauce as well. Their marinated mushroom dish was delicious - we ended ordering more. Weve also tried the rainbow trout, sirloin steak and rigatoni which were all mouthwatering. You can really tell each dish was curated carefully. Theyve also timed all the dishes so that we could enjoy each dish fresh! Definitely an easy date spot!

Everything was great! Service (Melanie) was attentive and made good conversation (even gave me a grape hi-chew as I had never tried the flavour hehe), bar (shout out nick!!) and management (Matt was sweet, himself and nick brought us over some house shots). Food was ah-maz-ing. We had just come from Europe a month ago and we re craving croquettes their chicken and cheesy ones were delicious! Cocktails were gorgeous. Everything was perfect! Thank you!

I came to Florette for my birthday and let me say it was a great way to celebrate. My drink was very strong but it was so pretty. The food was delicious - my favourite dishes were beets in the ground and manila clams. Vibes were great and it is such a beautiful spot. Love love love!!!

Just had an amazing dinner at Florette. Food was delicious and in appropriate portion sizes. The cocktails were super unique and yummy. Our server, Mel, was exceptional - kind, lovely, and gave great suggestions. Best meal out I ve had in Toronto in awhile. Highly recommend and will definitely be going back soon.

Stopped by on a whim as I walked by hungry. Luckily I got a seat right away at the bar and got service quickly. I tried a couple of their homemade sodas: Lemon-Lime and Ginger. Both were tasty and affordable. Had the Rainbow Trout for my main. Came with Miso Squash Puree and the Gai Ian with white sesame dressing. The trout was perfect. Both sides were amazing. The Gai Ian was unreal. Id eat a 2nd servicing of it. Got the chocolate tart with a side of white chocolate and it was great. If youre a fan of chocolate...get the chocolate tart. The restaurant was cozy and absolutely beautiful. The ambiance, food and drinks were amazing - the whole trifecta effect. Perfect place for date night, girls night or a small group dinner party. Food was all shareable style and everything I tried was delicious. I really enjoyed their cocktails, all the drinks I tried were unique and tasty! The presentation of all dishes and drinks were top notch and I could tell a lot of thought was put into creating each dish/ drinks. Service was great, all staff were genuinely friendly people. For those that appreciate decor - all the light fixtures were different/ unique, and they also had vintage plates and cups that were personally thrifted! We went to Florette excited by the new restaurant in the area with an incredible interior. We weren t let down as we were seated you could tell it had a relaxed, and approachable vibe with an upscale hint. The menu is very easy to understand and we got exactly what we thought we would. We ordered the 7 course menu which is 64$ per person and shared two drinks: the mocktail ginger mule and grape cocktail. Both were good but the mocktail was fantastic. Light, and refreshing while the other cocktail was good but was pretty store for better or worse. The food we ended up getting was bread and butter, beets in the ground, clams, strip loin, marinated mushrooms, and the salad. The best in our opinion were the marinated mushrooms, salad, clams, and strip loin. While there were amazing the mushrooms were very garlicky so would warn whoever gets them next! The strip loin was very salty but the meat was cook phenomenally. The salad was out of this world! It might be our new favourite salad rivalling the big greeny from berhardts! Above all else was the service. I haven t experienced service like that in as long as I can remember. They were on top of everything and rarely did I even think I needed something before they were there to ask about it. I am extremely excited to go back soon as they told us their menus will begin changing monthly and adding a late night eats menu as well. Thank you Florette!

Quick spot to have an intimate date night

Had a decent time at this restaurant. Space is pretty tight. Food was good. Service was good! Food not too heavy, all the flavours were great and worked well with each other. Food was nice and simple. We had the mushrooms, croquettes, rigatoni, and fish.

Florette has a beautiful aesthetic that, unfortunately, overshadows the food for an overall average experience. The cabbage and nduja clam dishes were winners and the pork chop was okay. However the asparagus which is served cold, and the bone marrow which was unexpectedly a nacho dish reminiscent of Taco Bell were disappointments. The servers were very attentive and of the cocktails I tried, the sesame and pisco ones were quite good. While adventurous, Id skip the miso cocktail. An interesting spot to try once but probably not one Id try again.

Amazing and unique dishes for a reasonable price! (Crazy I know) Came here for date night and was pleasantly surprised at the trendy and cozy atmosphere! Highly recommend ordering the Manila clams and bone marrow dishes! Portion sizes are big too!!! ( ) OMNOMNOMNOM! Service was also a 10/10!

Only the service was good. Food is below average, ordered the steak, which was cold and super chewy, not juicy at all. The pasta was average as well, but much better than the steak..shows you how bad the steak actually was.

The service was quick, friendly and attentive and the cocktails were good. But truthfully, the food was not good. We had the scallops which were just sweet and jammy - no other balance to the dish and the bone marrow, which was sadly a $24 nacho dish. The lovely richness of the marrow was completely lost in ground beef and sauces. Dessert was fine but needed a little salt.

Florette was an unparalleled experience. One of the best restaurants I ve been to in Toronto! Amazing food, unique cocktails, great service, and beautiful interior. Menu is extremely thought out with Michelin quality dishes. We ordered the bone marrow, striploin, clams, roasted cabbage, and sea bass. Portion sizes were huge, and each dish was a pleasant surprise that embodied unique flavours. Highly recommend the striploin with the coffee parsnip purée, but I don t think you can go wrong with anything - everything was super tasty. Cocktails were creative and refreshing - we tried the tepache colada, ube horchata, and cucumber roll. All were great. Service was very attentive and friendly. Definitely coming back to try the rest of the menu. Do your tastebuds a favour and drop by!

Very attentive service, plates came out super fast though, we finished dinner within 50 minutes so it felt a bit rushed. Dishes fairly priced for Toronto but nothing really jumped out to me. Cabbage and croquettes were the highlight for me.

I attended a friends birthday party at this venue and it turned out to be a great choice. We struggled to find a place that could accommodate a group of 6-8 people and also allowed splitting tabs, but this place fit the bill perfectly. The highlight was definitely the incredibly delicious food that left us all satisfied. However, the downside was the noise level it was quite overwhelming, making it difficult to hold conversations. Additionally, the seating arrangement felt a bit cramped. Despite these minor setbacks, the fantastic food and the accommodating booking policy made the experience overall enjoyable. I would recommend this place, but just be prepared for the noise and seating situation.

I went here for dinner with 3 of my girlfriends and we all had the chefs tasting menu. The service was friendly and efficient, the food was innovative and delicious, and the atmosphere elegant and fun. I have not been to a restaurant in a long time where I was so very impressed with the value and quality of food. I wish I took pictures, but we were too busy talking and enjoying the food and ambiance, and being present to take it all in. I highly recommend Florette, and I am already looking forward to going back soon.

This has undoubtedly been one of my top meals this year that I keep thinking about. The food was absolutely incredible and our waitress, Melody, took such great care of us. HIGHLY recommend. Such a hidden gem that in my opinion is definitely deserving of a Michelin star. The mushroom dish in particular was so good we ordered two. Vibes, service, food, cocktails were all excellent.

Amazing chocolate tart and ube horchata cocktail. Good vibes with a beautiful floral ceiling and good service. Will definitely go back to try more dishes in the future. Vegetarian options: Mojo salad, heirloom tomatoes, roasted cabbage and marinated mushrooms.

Vintage style interiors welcome you with a long narrow restaurant of tables. You cannot order from the bar. The cocktails are okay but took a long time to come. For the price you pay,I was expecting more flavour, creativity or something extra but left underwhelmed. The small plates aren t super easy to share but we ordered almost everything on the menu with multiples. It will not be a place I ll come back to anytime soon.

Another disappointment in terms of reviews versus actual food. The Manila clams was the only stand out dish, the rigatoni, steak and tomato salad were average at best. Wine selection was poor and patio was small and cranky with no Ambeince. Come on toronto, we need better food options with a nice ambience

I loved my dining experience at Florette! The food, ambience, and service were excellent. At the bar, Brennon was great at explaining the optimal pairing drinks with my food selections and even entertained opening a sake bottle which is not on the menu to try. Akira who served the dishes was just as excited for me to try them as I was. He even made sure I got a taste of the chocolate tart. Jason seemed to be overseeing the whole operation seamlessly. I highly recommend this place for the beginner and advanced foodie! Thumbs up to chef Mann!

Worth Trying. Exquisite interiors with a small focused menu that unfortunately flatlines on flavours and value for money. Scallops - Skippable. A very small portion that fails to deliver on flavours compared to Wood Owl and Wynona as examples. Tomato - Skippable. Should probably double the amount of zaartar because otherwise its extremely flat. We added garlic from the mushrooms to enhance it. Mushroom - Worth Trying. Clean. Garlicky. Saucy. Bread recommended. Bone Marrow - Skippable. Not really worth it at all. Didnt get much marrow so it became a nacho plate rather quickly. The drinks were passable - relatively weak and on the sweeter side. Ube and Cucumber. Really wanted to like this but falls flat on the apps, which is where you can try the creativity of the kitchen. Takes AMEX. $70+pp

I went here 2 days in a row! Truly a hidden gem, Florette exceeded all my expectations from ambience, service but most of all the simple yet elegant menu! I was visiting a friend from NYC and this took me back to the streets of Tribeca and the East Village. Yes!, if you re looking for a cozy romantic dinner or catching up with old friends, the team is happy to host you in this tube of floral bounty. Akira, Harley and Xie, felt like my friends who we re serving me at their house, service is blended with lovely conversation and always take their recommendations as they definitely know what s up. On my first night, I was at the bar with Alex as my bartender and man does this guy put on a show, just him mixing drinks and serving them is a performance in itself! Day 1: I ordered the bone marrow (phenomenal stuff: how can one dish be a meal and bar food at the same time??? ) and enjoyed a few cocktails, the ones that stood out the most were the Tepache Colada and the Cucumber roll. Alex gave me a tester of his Jerk seasoned cocktail and said it would go live the next day. Day 2: I came for dinner this time, jerk cocktail was live woohoo! Me and a friend shared the heirloom tomatoes and she got the sea bass and me the Striploin (those mushrooms ). Each one better than the last, a 10/10! Came here with my girlfriend and some friends. The service, drinks and food were all amazing. All of the dishes we got were A1 but I will say that their scallops and clams are to die for. Definitely coming back here with my family.

I ve seen just about every Toronto girl post about this place so I really had to go and check it out myself. I ve now been with my boyfriend, and friends - Needless to say, I ve tried just about everything on Florette s menu by now and to be honest, I d eat it all again and again. I totally understand the hype and this place deserves all the praise it gets! Florette has a dark but cozy vibe, it s the perfect setting for an intimate date night/ girls night out. The staff are all extremely attentive and experts at explaining the menu, all the different ingredients incorporated into each dish, and giving fantastic recommendations. As for my favourite dish, this is hard because everything was mind blowing. However, I must highlight that I thoroughly enjoyed the sea bass, scallop crudo, and Manila clams! I licked the plates clean. It was seriously. that. good. What also surprised me was the roasted cabbage! It was SO unique and probably my favourite vegetable dish that I ve ever had at any Toronto restaurant. It was so savoury and creamy. For cocktails - I really enjoyed the Tepache Colada, and I got to try their special Jerk Chicken Cocktail (their cocktail specials change every month I believe)- which actually really tasted like Jerk Chicken. My tastebuds were BEWILDERED but in the best way possible! Overall, I highly recommend Florette to anyone. If you re reading this, just do it, book that reso, you ve got to experience the magic for yourself.

Akira was our server and showed not only insightful and helpful recommendations and product knowledge, but also was a lovely conversationalist and very charming. We felt welcome, comfortable, and enjoyed a fantastic meal. The rigatoni is to die for!!

Absolutely worth the hype! The food is next level delicious and the spot is very cute. I also found it was great value for money.

I had expected more from the hype but was disappointed in the food and atmosphere. Unfortunately, despite booking early, the 4 of us sat at the bar; while it was great to converse with the bartenders, it was impossible to talk amongst ourselves. The ceiling is beautiful, but with a full house, the sound is amplified. The various cocktails were excellent and expertly mixed! All 4 of us decided to go with the tasting menu as the selection from the menu sounded great. The bread & butter was absolutely delicious, as was the salad with a citrus dressing. The cabbage with the creamy sauce was fairly tasteless, the clams were very nice, and the steak which I was really looking forward to was flavourful but was very sinewy. The fish course was good, but the rigatoni was just average. All the dishes were served on tiny side plates, meaning the majority of the portions were VERY small to share amongst 4 people. The final dessert course was very delicious, but one small slice of cake among 4 people was pretty chintzy. Overall, considering our bill was a little more than $500, we left feeling less than impressed. Thankfully, the bartenders and waitstaff were really great because they definitely saved the evening!

Overpriced! The food was decent, and the service and atmosphere were nice, but the price doesnt justify the quality or quantity of food. We ordered the tasting menu, which cost over $80 per person, and we left the restaurant still hungry. The value simply isnt there. Were unlikely to return to Florette

Love this place! We got the chefs tasting which allowed us to try a little bit of all the food and it did not disappoint! The drinks were also killer! On the secret menu there s a drink called the Eyereena which was awesome! Food

The food here was 10/10 however the hospitality from our server was a 5/10. Despite the below par service we received I still rate this place 5 stars so you know the food had to be really good. Each dish was seasoned perfectly, just the right portion size, and not overpriced at all. Our favs were the mussels, cabbage & pasta! The reason why our service was a 5/10: Our main server was not attentive to our table and left a negative impression. Our drinks would sit at the bar for a long time before he brought it over. In one instance, I had to ask him to check on our shots, he then went to get the shots but put the glasses down so harshly on the table that even he was like oops. For the mains, he would consistently turn around immediately after serving the dishes - which left us no time to ask him any questions. What made everything worse was when 3 ladies got seated at the table next to us and his attitude towards them was the polar opposite. I believe this was an one off and hopefully he was just having a bad day. The other servers seemed friendly and kind. Looking forward to coming here for the delicious food again!

My partner and I came here for our anniversary dinner and the staff went out of their way to make it special: from specialty mock tails to a delicious series of dishes. The atmosphere, service and food itself were unmatched. We immediately decided to make Florette our go-to spot.

I had dinner at Florette last week, and it was one of the best dining experiences Ive had in Toronto in a long time (and I eat out a lot!) We sat at the bar, tried a number of cocktails all of which were creative and absolutely delicious. The beets were to die for, as was the rigatoni. We will definitely be back, and cannot recommend this place more highly!

Enjoyed the cute back patio. Unfortunately it was close to where the garbage is stored, and sometimes we got a whiff of that.

Pleasant surprise! Would love to visit again. They don t have a sign so I almost got past it. Cute floral interior with decent lights. Not too big, not too small. Small winelist but exceptional cocktails. Our waitress Harley was very accommodating and professional. I got dishes and drinks that she recommended and they were bomb. The cocktails she recommended were excellent. I guess they make their own recipes. Loved them all. Food wise, it s like tapas style but enough portions. Hamachi crudo was good with a thai kick. Roasted cabbage almost made me become a vegetarian - this was amazing. Clams had a spicy kick in it so was great with the bread. Pork chop and swordfish was also great. Their pork chop isn t fully cooked - cooked at medium to medium well so if you don t like not fully cooked pork, you should ask them to fully cook it. I personally loved this medium core. Swordfish s sauce and burnt kale combo was good. I d try their chef s course menu and off menu items.

It was about 20 minutes till last call for food, but our server was able to sneak in the order and everything was freshly prepared in an expedited manner. The food was delicious and expertly put together (bone marrow and rigatoni). The cocktails were tasty with a refreshing twist.

Came here for my birthday dinner with a few girls and the staff are superstars!! So so friendly and accommodating! We weren t the easiest group as we were very large and ordered many dishes but staff was just great! The pasta and drinks were out of this world. Great place for a get together with a pretty environment!

The best!!!!!

We ordered the tasting menu for a group of 10. 5 ladies and 5 guys. The portion is a bit small and we find it difficult to split the food given the tight space. You can BYOB for a corkage fee. Service is attentive and servers are friendly and joked with us. Food highlights, my group enjoyed the beet salad. The least favourite dish is probably the mushroom. The bone marrow has very little marrow makes it difficult to share. A few dishes are spicy such as the clams and pasta, which I cannot eat cause I don t eat spicy at all. May be it s better to go in smaller groups.

Amazing dinner. Atmosphere was classy. Our server , Harlie was great and was very attentive. Would recommend to friends and family.

Incredible meal tonight at Florette. Each dish was cooked to perfection and full of flavour. Wine was perfect. Attentive staff. Cannot recommend highly enough Food

The team at Florette always ensures an amazing dining/culinary experience. Most recently, we held a company holiday party at Florette and retreated to the chefs menu and specialty cocktails. The food was plenty an amazing the cocktails were as good. Vegetarian options: The staff are always happy to accommodate vegetarian options. Dietary restrictions: The staff are always happy to accommodate Vegan options.

Florette has a stunning ceiling and an intimate vibe. The menu options are pretty limited but what we had was good quality: - bread & butter - chicken croquettes - manila clams - rigatoni - chocolate tart We also wanted to try the stuffed poblano but they were out. Service was very slow after the appetizers, but the staff were very attentive and friendly. It s also very loud in here. I honestly wasn t crazy about the food but it definitely wasn t bad either. I left still wanting more for dinner. However, the menu has good intentions and is very thoughtfully put-together. Nothing stood out but it s a nice place to try and the menu changes frequently so I would come back!

Beautifully decorated spot, with creative items on the menu. The food was above average, and all the staff were extremely friendly. Great shareable plates.
