Everyone who works at this location legit is the best! They care and are so attentive!

I give 2 stars because the steaks we ordered were cooked properly. The Cajun shrimp and cheese sticks were lovely. Though the uncooked veggies in the quesadilla were sad and the kids kraft dinner was disgusting. More importantly, I have been a keyholder/ bartender/server for 20 years in a large fast paced bar. I have never been so disappointed in the service I was given this evening. Our server, Robin (with pretty purple hair) disappointed me and my husband on several points. First, there were 2 servers and no one came to us for 20 minutes even though there were only 5 customers in the restaurant and another 5 tablws outside, I got the menus myself. My husband wanted a Canadian beer and its a Tuesday, and she did not mention that there was a special on tall cans for the evening, my husband ordered draft and when I noticed there was a special on the menu and he went to speak with her wanting the special, she gave him attitude. She also gave him attitude when my husband, upset with the altercation went for a smoke, not politely asking him to be 9 meters away. When we recieved our appetizers, again we were met with attitude because our chained up dog was in her way. When we finally got our main courses (over 1 hour after we arrived) no one came to give us a quality check. This was important because my kids kraft dinner was hard and crusty on the outside and I wanted HP sauce with my steak. I had to go inside to order drinks and to ask for HP sauce. We were never checked on again, my husband had to ask for the check while she was tending to new customers (its still dead with only 7 inside and 3 tables outside) and my older daughter had to go inside to ask for a takeout container. Wow. I never write bad reviews and I never dont tip because I understand the nature of this industry, but THIS, THIS had to be said.

Great wings and atmosphere

Went to get wings on wing night Wednesdays (half price or I was led to believe it was). ordered wings and fries combo on the menu ($19) and a pint of canadian (because you need a drink for half price). wings were over done, most were small a skinny. asked for my bill, and it totalled $28+tip. I said isnt it wing night? to which my server said wings and fries combo isnt included but we gave you 50% percent off the wings and charged separately the fries. the receipt breakdown... $8.50 wings, $8 fries, plus my drink. Firstly, why the heck is a side of fries that expensive, like plain jain fries. WTH. I tell her dont you think you should mention that wings and fries arent included when Im ordering wings on wing night? to which she shrugs what are few extra dollars right? its the principle and response. probably not the place for me.

I have been to this location many times and for the most part it s been really good. This was the first time I have been in close to 2 years. Service was terrible on this occasion. Our server didn t greet us and didn t really acknowledge us for 10 minutes she then took our drinks order disappeared for 10 minutes then came back saying she had forgotten our order. We then ordered wings I asked for extra well done wings and stated my flavour and my girlfriend then placed her order. The wings came out not crispy, at all! and not even the correct flavour. I was then told that it was the flavour that I ordered however I have worked previously in kitchens and front of house for many years and know fine well it wasn t. I decided to not make a big deal about it. We ate a couple of wings ( they where disgusting and didn t seem cooked enough) and decided to pay up and leave. Not long after my girlfriend felt really unwell and spent the rest of the evening throwing up and generally feeling very unwell. Needless to say I won t be back and regret spending any money at this location.

Beyond-expectation food taste. Cute waitress. Parking: The only unpleasant point is that I did not do enough research of the parking, and forgot to check with the waitress. And therefore, was ticketed for a fine for forgetting to buy the parking ticket.

Use to go to this bar all the time haven t been there in years. The beer was cheap 6.75 plus tax (happy hour)18 ounces of Canadian unfortunately it was not cold at all. The server said they were running low on glasses and the glass that was just washed caused the beer to be warm. Perhaps it is somewhat true but I suggest you check your refrigeration. Draft beer is not good cool. The wings were average to below average. I asked for well done to ensure crispiness. Unfortunately the wings came soggy. The medium sauce is not that good. For a place that claims to be great wings go check out other places how wings should be cooked and taste. I will not return.

We were honestly shocked at how good the food was at the Beaches location. I had been to another Gabby s location on Yonge St that closed down and it was ok, but nothing special. I can honestly say we will be back, as the service from Ray was next level and the food was top notch for a pub. The Caesar salad dressing was obviously homemade. The beef brisket was to die for. The chilli was killer.

The Ribs were absolutely delicious, and the fish and chips were fantastic, too!

Monday 1/2 priced wings. Got the Cajun flavour. Perfectly fried and seasoned. I m definitely going back to try other flavours. Note: if you re getting the wings with fries combo, just split the fries with someone. They will give you the full sized fries and charge full sized price too. My friend and I split the bill and the server mixed up our orders. There was about $2 difference so I just didn t bring it up. Also, this place was surprisingly cozy.

Placed an order for delivery. It was on Skip, with a bottle of liquor. They refused the order, instead saying I had to buy two 375 mL bottles of liquor for $60, instead of the one 750mL bottle of liquor for $43 which we had agreed to at the point of sale. Basically, after I placed the order, they tried to extort me for an extra $17. What the hell, Gabbys? Congratulations, Ive been relying on you since Covid, but message received, you dont want my business anymore, wish granted.

Eat here all the time

I just had a beer and my first sip I had a hunk of slime in my mouth. Server said it was the first time serving from the IPA tap today. (Really!) Never bothered to comp me a beer. Google search when I got home would suggest they don t clean the taps. I am so grossed out I want to clean my mouth with bleach. Zero service recovery. And stupid me even left a tip.

Allowing peopple to leave their dogs tied outside (-8 today), for over an hour while the customer is sitting inside in the warmth is NOT acceptable in ths community. Three different people commented on that shivering dog so I told them I would take it upon myself to make a comment. If a dog is outside and moving around on a day like this-thats one thing but sitting shivering in one spot - -QUITE another!! One lady told me she was going to call animal control-I told her I would contact the restaurant and let them know. Come on guys . . . !!

Best Gabbys in town!!!

I love the decor at this Gabbys! My favourite things are the tvs above the bar! The menu is varied and tasty.

Great wee spot with a staff thats second to none. Wings are toppermost. Id suggest that you ask to have the kitchen finish them on the grill, for the burnt bbq bits that are oooh mami!! update: was there and saw robin, shes still one of t.o.s finest server/host/bartender

I was only in here for one drink. The place was clean, friendly and welcoming. The Guinness was very nice.

Came here a few months ago and there was a short hair bartender and she was so rude right off the bat. Walked in a few hours before they were closing and the bartender made us feel as if we were bothering her. All we wanted was 1-2 drinks each. As soon as we felt that vibe we just wanted to leave. So disappointing.

Always wondered who went into Gabbys; my local was The Grover, now closed due to mismanagement. Turns out people who liked good food and good beers on tap whent there.

Perfect day to enjoy a break from beach walking and shopping. They had room for me at an outside table, perfect for people watching. I had a delicious Cobb Salad that hit the spot.

Their poutine was tasty af. 10/10!

You can bring your dog at the terrace with fresh water !!!

I Don t usually put a bad review, but this was the worst experience, we order our food and after an hour we have to ask what s happening with the food and they said that there was a mistake with the person in the kitchen, we went to this place because we were hungry. Sorry but if you have a problem in the kitchen at least you can tell your customers what s happening.

Toni (hope I spelled her name right)was a fantastic warm and friendly bartender, full of product knowledge and had a great recommendation on an Irish whiskey I wound up enjoying quite a bit. I had chicken wings and fries that were fantastic as they were perfectly crispy and not oversauced so even as is at there talking way too long, they never got soggy. Environment was super warm and friendly and some of the locals/regulars absolutely made me feel right at home. Ive been to other Gabbys in the east end, but this one just went a little above and beyond, and I appreciate that effort. Fun casual environment to grab some beers and wings with friends or a date. Definately will return as my other local watering hole is just down the road, so its the perfect stop for snacks and chats as I continue on my way.

I went to Gabbys on Saturday night with friends to celebrate a couple of birthdays, and Im so glad we did. Good times, for sure! The food was so good. I had the steak, and it was perfectly cooked. Our server was exceptional. Very attentive.

Non covid compliant kitchen staff! - Pickup order review: Showed up at assigned time to the food not being started. 15 mins later, show up to the order needing confirmation of Wing flavours (that was on the order...). The next 5 mins I watched the cook work with their mask around their chin, while cooking and plating everyones food. Top it off, wings were the worst Ive had in ages.super dry

Ordered for pickup. Most expensive wings Ive ever had and the vegetables I received with them were rotting.

Came with a decent group to watch the raptors, we were seated quickly and served fast as well. Really appreciated the service even though I was pretty drunk. Would definitely go back.

Very delicious food, good service although a little slow, as there was only 1 person serving the tables. Luckily there were few people. Very moderate prices. Highly recommended. We will be back.

Great food!

The food and drinks were very good. The service could have been better. We had to wait a while for our food but the Beaches Jazz Festival was going on so capacity was much higher than normal. Delays on food/drinks was to be expected.

The waitresses were nice and friendly. The service was a little slow. Do not expect a gourmet meal, the food was ok! The kitchen must be small. They have a patio which was great ! Drinks were cold, food prices were a little expensive, where isnt it?

The food was clearly made from frozen and tasted of nothing but grease. It was pretty clear the fryer hasnt been cleaned in awhile and was way too cold due to how soggy and greasy our food was. Combined with coppery tasting beer from unclean lines and waiting for 35 minutes for the bill while the server chats with regulars and watches tv I wouldnt even recommend this place as a dive bar. Not worth the wait or the money.

I saw broccoli soup on the A-fold in front and had to try it out. I was not disappointed. The Heineken was nice too.

I would rate Gabbys 0 stars if i could. This is my first review and i am taking the time to write it as i am incensed. Ate at the Beaches location for the first time Saturday evening. I asked what meal was popular and good. Waitress recommended chicken tenders as she said they are made fresh to order. I ordered the tenders with fries (bbq sauce on side). 100% honestly I laughed to myself when the plate was brought to me. The tenders were the tiniest portion of food I had ever seen served to an adult. Truthfully, if the same portion was served on a kids menu to a child of 10 years old they would finish the plate and still be hungry. This establishment should be embarrassed to serve that portion for $17.00! Fast food restaurants obviously should be less expensive but I can categorically state that popeyes tenders are about the same taste but you get way more chicken for close to half the price. An absolute shame the sized portion served for $17.00. I will never go back.

Great wings and staff.

Just dined here for lunch on the patio the other day, and was mostly satisfied with my visit. They have a smaller dark wood tavern style interior, with The patio seating is average, a bit industrial with pylons, and concrete medians by the road, but adequate umbrellas for shade. The service is simple and casual. I ordered the Lime-Chili Chicken Bowl. It came in a uniquely coloured and shaped dish whose theme I wonder whether it follows the restaurant interior, and what sort of theme exactly it is. Whatever it is, Id like to see it more full, and focused(distinct). The food is pretty good, with solid offerings, though some dishes are better executed than others. I will revisit Gabbys, though I think theres room, and a benefit, to improve upon their strengths, and shore up their weaknesses. I feel they lack strong direction and could enhance their theme in certain areas. Casual mid-range fare.

Ive been coming here for twenty years, Nicole the owner have staffed this place with wonderful servers, none better than Jackie ! This is THE BEST BAR in the Beaches !

Food wasnt the best, beer wasnt the cold kr fresh, they added a $1 charge for anything extra that you wanted. Loads of flies around and the patio is basically on the street so the floor is really dirty. Maybe sitting inside would be the best option there.. i like gabbys but I wouldnt really go to this location again.

Homey, comfortable inside. Also has an outside patio in front, regular pub-type food. Good local watering hole for when you dont feel like cooking.

Mixed review here. The staff were AWESOME, and made us feel really welcome. We had kids with us, and they were incredibly accommodating. Full marks for that. But I ordered the ribs they were the SMALLEST ribs I ve ever seen. Ever. In any restaurant. If someone had told me they were cat ribs, it would be been believable, based on the size. So, think twice about ordering ribs if you re actually hungry.

This was a fairly good restaurant. I like the variety in the dishes and I tried Gabbys bowl which was delicious. The prices are pretty comparable to other similar restaurants and bars. The service was great too and it was pretty quick.

One of the neighbourhood pubs, Gabbys offers numerous TVs for your hockey viewing pleasure as well as nightly specials on food and drink. On Tuesdays, kids eat for five dollars. The service is good, and they have a reasonable selection of beers. It s not super noisy but also not super quiet. It s a good place to go with the guys for a beer and to watch the game.

Disgusting and a joke! The whole establishment stunk. The bar itself was sticky and gross. The bartender/server was incompetent - all she did was wobble around partying with her own friends, and she didnt even know how to make an Old Fashioned. We couldnt bring ourselves to order any food, as the best thing that couldve happened to us if we ate there wouldve been death!
