1500 Queen St W, Toronto, ON M6R 1A4, Canada
Small yet cozy Asian fusion restaurant in Parkdale Toronto serving foods from Tibet, Nepal, Indian, Sri Lankan, and Vietnamese. Best known for Tibetan breakfast special, Nepalese street style chowmein, and khotu roti.
We came as a group of 7 for a Tibetan breakfast. Food was delicious! Hot, plentiful and flavourful, we each took a take out breakfast to go as well. Ordered beef momos on the side and took them to go as well. Our new go-to breakfast spot. Thank you for the delicious meal!
When I see thenthuk, I have to order it. And so I did! We got the chicken thenthuk. The broth was warm and comforting and pretty mild in flavor. The chicken was fine but not particularly tender. There were a lot of vegetables which we appreciated. The hand pulled noodles tasted overcooked and more mushy than chewy. I probably wouldn't get this again. Their menu is pretty extensive, so I'd definitely be open to trying something else! The staff member we spoke to was very kind. They only take debit (USA debit doesn't count) or cash (they accept USD but don't convert), but we were able to order and pay through their website online, which was a relief!
Great Food! It took me back to good old days in India where i used to have homely Tibetan foods. Amazing parathas and Tibetan Breakfast. Seems like a family run place and very affordable in a city where prices are getting crazy!
THE BEST CHILI CHICKEN IN TORONTO! We order this extra spicy and when it comes, they’re not messing around. I love the food at Garleek. Staff are so kind. Momos hit, and the chili chicken never disappoints. Thank you team, for serving the community and making such outstanding food.
I used to come here order takeout every couple of weeks I’m so disappointed this time, the momos size smaller than before and the Momos skin so thick , taste like eating the gum, also having sand in two momos , guess is from some veg , if this restaurant still make momos like this I think is time for me go to try another restaurant around there .
I was looking for a place, which sale Tibetan breakfast on week days. I was asked many Tibetan people but most of them said about weekend. One day I saw some Himalayan people get in and out from a place abd understand that they ate something. I just put my nose inside and get spice smell, which you nake hungry. Its very small and cozy. I remembered, this type of restaurent I saw in Nepal, Sikim, Darjeeling. One man show!! Breakfast was two Tibetian bread, Omlet, potato curry, chickpea, pickle and buttery tea. Easily two person can eat. Experience was mind blowing. Evrything was fresh. After then several times i had my breakfast there. Its very simple restaurant. If you want to get The Tibetian breakfast experience, one of best place it is.
We heard alot about this place and the famous $8 breakfast. Finally gave it a try along with some veggie Momos. This meal was amazing! The food came out fresh, the portions are very generous and the service was amazing. We asked to exclude the egg and they even offered more of the chickpea curry. We'll definitely be coming back!
The pictures speak for themselves but let me add my 2 cents anyways. The staff is very friendly and the food here is absolutely delicious. Many other dishes should be pictured here but they were eaten before the thought of pics crossed my mind. The momos are some of the, if not the best in the city. Make sure you try the chow mein, ask for a fried egg on top of if you really want to kick it up another level. The house tea is also delicious, don't forget to ask for a cup. Will be going back to try the Kotthu roti next!
Easily the best momo in town. Not only are the momos (dumplings) amazing but this restaurant serves unique food in the Parkdale area. The Khotu Roti, Teriyaki, Dhindo, and Pho are some of the new amazing dishes that Garleek has brought to the Parkdale area of Toronto. By far the best Tibetan restaurant in Toronto and my favorite place to eat in Parkdale. Needed to update my review to share that Garleek is now selling Bhutanese food!!!! Its sooo incredibly delicious. Highly recommend!!
Vegetarian options: Tons of vegan and vegetarian options. Food
We put in a catering order to feed 50 people. The folks at Garleek were wonderful to work with. They patiently and professionally answered all our questions and worked with us to come up with a plan. They accommodated us when we had non-standard requests. The food was excellent and received high ratings from all our guests and the price was very good. We were so thankful to the team at Garleek kitchen. If we have another big event to cater, they will definitely be among our top choices.
I ordered a takeaway for my work sometime ago and it was inedible. With limited time, I couldn t go back. Disappointing experience-never going back for another shitty food.
The best vegan steamed and fried momos we have had. Delightful Tibetan puri, delicious vegan chow mein and aloo paratha. We have dined in, tried take-out as well as delivery through Uber. And, the food was consistently good each time. Great job, Chef!
This is my favourite restaurant! Everything I ve tried on the menu has been so good. My favourite thing to order right now is the Tibetan Breakfast! It comes with two huge fry bread roti and an egg fried to your liking and a bunch of Aloo Dum potatoes and other dishes to eat with the roti. I cannot tell you how good this is!!! The pan fried beef momos are also incredible. I try new dishes whenever I go and it just keeps getting better!!!!
Best restaurant in the neighborhood, bar none. The portions are incredible for the price, and the owners and workers are very friendly. Food is out of this world, actual Tibetan cuisine done to perfection! Do not miss out if youre passing through Parkdale!
I ordered chili chicken through Uber but instead got pork. I don t eat pork. Pretty disappointed since I ve ordered here many times. The momos though are delicious
Very good
Best place for clean and yummy food
Loved the place! Food was really tasty!!
Quick service, good value.
The Tibetan breakfast was huge, cheap, and delicious. Fresh puris and rotis were fantastic. Highly recommended!
Barely edible food. Chicken chilli could not be eaten. It tasted rotten and looks nothing like photos shown. Chow mein is tasteless and ingredients are not fresh. Everything will be left uneaten. Strongly suggest to stay away from eating at this establishment. Will update this review if I fall sick.
Great little restaurant in the heart of little tibet. Great food at a decent price.
I just walked into the place for some chowmein. Not with expectations too high, I ordered it. Well I have to say I was pleasantly surprised. It tasted absolutely fantastic! The texture of the noodles to the veggies was right in the goldilocks zone. I decided to push my luck further and ordered the chilli momos and my god, they were fantastic. This is the sort of place you gatekeep.
Fantastic tasty food made fresh to order, friendly service. My new favourite place.
Food was delicious, and great value. Friendly staff. Street parking is available along Queen W.
Very cheap solid breakfast served in under ten minutes. My meal in the photo was 10.00 and he didn t even give me the option to tip ok the machine. Also that bread was good and puffy fried dough.
Amazing food and breakfast
Small neighbourhood takeout place with seating, featuring Nepal/Tibetan style food. I had the Chana combo, which is excellent (the Chana is mildly spicy). Really like the Puri, a kind of fried flat bread. Have also had the beef curry which was ok, but a little bony, but with great flavour. The dumplings look amazing however and I plan to order them the next time Im in Parkdale. Looking forward to my next visit. Thanks.
Came here a couple years ago and finally had the chance to come eat here again recently! My friend and I got the thali dish with mutton and it was definitely still as yummy as I remember it! My friend also got the mango lassi and it was super yummy! Would highly recommend if you re in the area!
This place is so cute and cozy for a little sit down meal. The Tibetan breakfast combo was the perfect mix of flavours and textures and was deliciously filling. Service was fast and kind.
I got the spicy fried momos. The momos themselves are delicious but not spicy. The sauce is the key. Spicy but oh so flavourful. I mean you could dip leather in it and you would eat it all. I also got the mango lassi. Delicious . Plus poori. Im used to the Indian style, which is deep fried puffy roti. These are deep fried dough circles. Just as delicious though, especially with the spicy sauce. Definitely check it out. And its affordable.
Suggested to check our their breakfast special post work out and did not disappoint. The thali was so good with potatoes, Chana, some pickle salad, egg (get it omlette style. Trust) and a heaping side of roti or puri (fry bread goodness). Really liked the fermented hot sauce as someone who cant take straight up heat. Grab some tasty bone broth for 3$ and you have the bfast of Champs. 10/10.
stumbled in on a cold day and had the most delicious warming meal. not too pricey and a quality momo and thenthuk soup! spicy in the good way. will definitely be back.
Amazing food , I would really recommend it
I get a Garleeks breakfast platter at least once every week or two, its beautiful. The Beef Curry and Deep Fried Beef Momos are also fam favourites. Honourable mention to the Pork Chili.
I never write reviews but this place really hit the spot, super great vibe and excellent flavourful food! Got the breakfast and it was phenomenal!!!!
Amazing breakfast!!! Staff very knowledgeable about gluten allergy. Hot tip : you can sub one of the breads out for another egg in the Tibetan breakfast (which is only $8.99 and SO GOOD)
This was such a mediocre experience compared to what we were expecting. We ordered chow mein noodles and chicken curry via door dash. The noodles was smelling of oil and the chicken curry was just ok. The best part was the tiny portion of hot sauce which was pretty spicy. Overall pretty disappointed and wont order from it.
One of my favourite spots in Parkdale. Great food, people, prices, and cozy seating.
Amazing vegetarian/vegan options and wonderful service!
The pan fried Momos and Thenthuk Thupka are just heavenly. You can actually feel the taste of all the ingredients so distinctly.
Really delicious food presented very nicely with reasonable prices ($13 for mutton thali, $12? pork chow mein, $4.50 mango lassi). Honestly, I didnt expect their dishes (the actual plates lol) to be so nice because the restaurant is very casual and homely looking. Good servic. Limited seating and quite small. Washroom is downstairs and not wheelchair friendly. Would like to go back and try the momos next time :)
Loved my thukpa thentuk soup with chicken. I picked up this time to take home. Perfect for a cold rainy day and it felt like a homemade soup
All time favourite
I bump into this place by accident, after a doctors appointment. I am a big fan of their mutton curry, the sauce is so tasty/hearty and Iight. I was pleasantly surprised. It s a bit far away from where I live but I still order delivery.
Always my favourite momos
amazing fusion food! great price point as well. friendly staff.
Great place and great customer service.we ordered chicken chilly fried momos and steamed momos. Both were very nice. Would surely visit again !!!
Overall, i found the place good. I had heard a lot about the food here, so maybe my expectations were very high. Pros: 1. Tibetan owned place so the food and flavours seemed authentic. This is a small place with 5 small tables, and a kitchen at the back 2. Price is good 3. Food is alright: while I have had better Tibetan food and momos, the food was decent. I had the momo platter, and thupka here. 4. Good location in little Tibet in Parkdale
Excellent vegetarian Momos with a tasty dip! Great quantity for the price. The mutton curry/ Thali was amazing too. Food : 5/5
Such a hidden gem! Very unassuming, but the atmosphere was so nice and the food was delicious. Staff were kind and had great recommendations. We enjoyed Tibetan tea, mutton curry, and veggie momos. Would recommend this place to anyone wanting good food!
A great variety of food, very tasty and quick service. They were able to accommodate a variety of spice levels in their dishes. Wait staff were so kind and friendly - thank you to Thashy for treating us to free tea on a cold blustery day!
Very comforting food and fast service
Excellent food and service. The thakali and momo is authentic and tastes just like it s from home.
Love the breakfast here!
Fresh, made-to-order Tibetan food that is EXCELLENT value. Everything on the menu is under $10 which is unusual for food of this quality in Toronto. Handmade FRESH dumplings are to die for no matter what your concept of a dumpling is. Fairly new; only opened in early 2018 but I think they have everything right to stick around. The owner Tseering is an awesome down-to-earth guy that has a great story about the restaurant 2023 update: still authentic, unpretentious, and tasty AF. I came back after moving out of the neighborhood for almost 5y and its still phenomenal. Fried chili momos are genuinely spicy and phenomenal
We ordered Chicken chowmein and Veggie momos and both were amazing! Absolutely going back whenever we crave momos !!
All hype :( Garlic chicken was very weird tasting and chowmein was such a disappointment. Himalayan kitchen was way better. Not ordering here again!
Great service and food!! We will be back!!
What can one say but amazing food Simple tibetan food in a cozy atmosphere My buddy and I love the earthy savoury breakfast and one must buy the Garleek Kitchen hot sauce !!! Get mild first and then work up to the others you won t be dissatisfied !!! Food : 5/5
Not bad but the food was pretty dry
Service was fantastic! So warm and generous. Helped us choose delicious items on the menu. Food was fresh, perfectly balanced spice, good portions. Atmosphere is cozy and intimate. Very homey. Highly recommend!! Vegetarian options: The vegetarian momo were fantastic! 10/10
The food is good but not great, there was some exemplary dishes ( like the puri ) , some were OK ( chicken chowmein - chicken was tough) . Chickpeas need more flavour
Got the garlic ginger chicken (left) and mixed momo. Very good, simple, tasty food, but nothing particularly special or different (especially the chicken dish). Excellent value for the price which hovered around the $10 mark per dish before tax. Service could be more attentive and without the attitude. I kept asking for hot sauce on the side and the person kept repeating it as hot sauce so I was concerned they would put it right on the food. When I asked for clarification that they understood the hot sauce was to be put on the side, he raised his voice and hung up the phone.
Thoroughly enjoyed my dining, interior is simple but delivered a divine authentic dish which is all I could ask for with a great vegetarian selection.
Food was amazing, especially mutton thali and the Chicken Momos.
I came to canada a week ago and was missing some traditional Nepali food but after eating here I got to eat some tasty food. I would 100% recommend it to everyone.
Start of the day with this delicious chicken momo at a Nepalese restaurant... What a taste A must visit place. Highly recommended... The owner is polite... You will love being here
Had a wonderful experience with my brother at this restaurant. The best thing I loved about this restaurant was that the high quality food was very affordable. I had the mutton curry, a wonderful almagination of flavours. Simple nicely decorated interior with tibetan flags. Heavily recommend this resturant for those who want exceptional tibetan/asian cuisine without blowing the bank. Vegetarian options: good selection of vegetarian options
Amazing spot, staff are very kind and friendly. The food is amazing, maybe my favourite Tibetan spot, and the value is incredible, you can eat a very hearty and healthy home-cooked sit down meal for less than anywhere else I know of in the city.
Wow. Amazing food and wonderful owner. Incredible place!
I am writting this review with soo much happiness and gratefulness in my heart, Tashi you are soo amazing and so accomodating. This place has the best best best food in Toronto, and love their mutton thali. The chef here cooks soo amazingly and Tashi conducts soooo soo amazingly. You guys make a great team in serving food which I am addicted to coz itss deeeeeliciousssss. P.S: Try their mutton thali and that tomato chutney is to die for <3<3
Love the friendly vibe of this place and the breakfast! Recently, had them cater a party...great food, big portion sizes and reasonable price! Definitely recommend!!
Love the food and service here!
Food
Ordered online for takeout to pick up later on. First impression is that the food is affordable and a great bang for your buck. We got the momo and chowmein. The Chowmein was amazing, chewy and flavorful.. maybe the best Chowmein Ive ever had. They were kind enough to also provide multiple hot sauce packets for us to utilize despite not requesting it. Would highly recommend.
Hands down amazing place, owner is super kind and they make really good food. Recommend the garlic ginger chicken (one of the best meals I ve had and it s def my go to)
Such a satisfying and nourishing breakfast! The family who run this place are so nice. Definitely a local gem for breakfast, momos, and more.
Great spot in little Tibet - sizeable portions across dishes and cooked to order. Can get pan fried momos and they did not disappoint. Owner is super friendly.
I was in the area and most spots were closed (ugh covid restrictions). So I stopped by for a quick take out, and was not disappointed. I asked for recommendations and went with the chicken chow mein. Took about 10 mins, and let me tell you...they are not lying about garlic. Delicious! Next time, Ill try the Momos.
Decided to order from Garleek after looking for new Tibetan restaurant to try, and they did not disappoint! The steamed momos were authentic and similar to home made momos, fresh, soupy and delicious. The gyuma was really good, but the roti couldve been made more fresh. The prices are very fair. Definitely will be back!
Ordered fried momos the taste was okay but inside filling was only 1/4 filled . Disappointing in that way.
Awesome breakfast so flavorful! Ill definitely be back!
Delicious food in top gun this location super delicious thank you see you again
Their momos are SO good. I always pick the fried chicken chili momos and the steamed beef momos, and I am never disappointed. Their service is also very good. I always ask for the milder sauce as the other ones are a bit too spicy for me.
Wow - another amazing momo place in Parkdale! Try out the Chill Fried Momos and you won t be disappointed
So I went here on a sunday evening with my friends and us being very critical about our food we werent disappointed here at garleek kitchen.. the food tasted homely and amazing.. do try their momos and chowmein!!!
First time trying this place: Food was delicious, packed with a lot of flavor, especially the mutton that came with my Thali order. Front of house seemed a little disorganized though, when I ordered they told me 15 minutes, forgot my order and I waited about 40 minutes until they noticed I hadnt been served. I had to go refill the parking meter to continue waiting. Staff is however very friendly and welcoming, they offer you a nice hot cup of milk tea while you wait. If you plan on going around lunch time ordering ahead would be a good idea, it gets very busy around 11:45am and after.
Garleek kitchen is a cozy little restaurant. They have such good food for really good prices. The staff are also very nice. I absolutely enjoy every time I order takeout from this place. The khotu roti and the egg roti are by far my favourites.
Best momos and chowmien in the city!
Nice food with a homemade touch.
best food i have ever had. Really gave me the feeling of home food. all the staff are the best and excellent positive vibes. highly recommended restaurant.
Ordered steamed momos, khotu roti & chow mein and was not disappointed. Everything was so tasty and I appreciated having a variety of different vegetables in the chow mein. Will definitely be ordering from here again!
My daughter and I went there with an appetite, each getting our own order of momos, than sharing a veg thali and a khotu roti... you know its good when youre full but choose not to stop eating. The owner knew it was our 1st time there and each time he brought out a plate hed tell us a little about it. I already have plans to be back there later this week. Thank you Garleek Kitchen!!
Really love the momos here! You can taste the love
Worst customer service. I visited the place along with my colleagues, we had to wait almost an hour for the food. Apart from this, guest who ordered after us , where Served first . Would never return to this location.
Good, but Logas Corners are way better.
I am back with the review of this awesome place. We ordered veg steam and veg chilli momos and they have some other options too if you like. The Momos were definitely amazing. I really liked the place and the staff members were really kind as well. Located in the parkdale area. I specifically like the chilli oil and the sauce. The preparations are too good. I definitely recommend this place to everyone.
Best momos in toronto indeed. I have tried all the momos on the street but these were the best momos. The prices are so affordable as compared to others. This place is my now go to and a must must visit
Weve ordered take out from here a number of times and its consistently delicious and fresh with great portion sizes. Weve ordered and loved the BBQ pork chow mein, mutton curry, palak paneer and chili chicken. Sooo good!
If there is one spot in Toronto that represents diversity in Asian food, it is Garleek kitchen. This is the perfect place you need to visit for Asian heritage month. Why? Very few restaurants are out there that serve dishes from Nepal, Tibet, Sri Lanka, Vietnam and incorporate Chinese influences. It s amazing to have dishes like dhindo, pho and kothu roti all under one roof. I absolutely love the mutton curry and chili momos here. Very flavourful and perfect for sharing. This is a place that is humble, warm and comforting. Perfect for a cozy night in and authentic as it can get. It also doesn t break the bank and is located in one of the most diverse neighbourhoods, Parkdale/ Little Tibet. I know this is going to be one of those spots I go in regularly for a little dose of comfort and hearty goodness. This is definitely a spot you need to go to experience a range of delicious Asian cuisine.
Great Tibetan food, run by the nicest family in Toronto and that s saying something!!! Can t wait to go back!
The food literally made me cry. It reminds me of the mountains, it softens my heart and touches my soul. Thank you.
small place but momos are the best momos i have ever tried in GTA
Just amazing!!! I would say one of the best Nepali/Tibetan place Ive been recommended to! The Beef Thali that I had was enough to last me from morning to evening for a cheap price! The sweet tea was also great and paired well with my food! Id come back here for more and will never get tired of the food! Edit (June 2022): Came back for a breakfast and another round of sweet tea! They never disappointed me with their quality of food and the flavours! 5/5
Best food best service
great food, affordable price, friendly service
Ive never had a Nepalese/Tibetan breakfast. For $8CAD the portions were huge and very very tasty. Vegetarian options: Tons of options. Most things are vegan friendly too.
Heres a simple 6 word review for yall: best chowmein in all of toronto.
Amazing food! Got the beef thali and chili mixed plate momos! I really enjoyed the beef momos. The chili sauce was flavourful and spicy . Definitely recommend!
Their veggie chilli is one of my fave dishes in Toronto
Amazing food, great prices, and very friendly server - Tashi was amazing and so helpful.
This place is fantastic. The price is right and the food is delicious.
The food there were great, very delicious, great presentation. And very warm reception. You wont be regreted by eating in this restaurant
Food here is absolutely delicious and the staff are super friendly. The beef momo and mango lassi were our favourites.
We had the chicken curry with some rice, the mixed momo plate and the tingmo bread. Nicely plated. Great flavours. There isn t much seating and it s not fancy but it was nice getting it hot. Definitely returning.
Momos are awesome
Hunting place.
Amazing!!!! Chilli momos are just superb.
Hands down the best momos in Toronto ! They always make the Momos fresh and always made to order . The meat is extremely flavourful and the momo is amazing . All other foods are very tasty and a must try as well
Fast service and very yummy momos
Amazing Prices!
I came to a clinic here for a Obstetrician appointment, I was feeling hungry after and decided to come get some steamed momos. The staff here is a lovely lady, I ordered steamed chicken and vegetarian momos. She gave me Tibetian tea on the house! She was just so kind to me and the momos were authentic and delicious! I have few more ob appointments, I will be coming here for breakfast again, many great breakfast options and the nicest staff work here. They are open at 8 am on weekdays!
I love their chicken momos
Really good momos. Especially the veggie ones. Friendly service. Vegetarian options: Some veg dishes available. Kid-friendliness: Kid friendly, with a toddler high chair. However, this is a very small establishment, and many children at once will likely not be able to be accomodated.
Nice
Been visiting Garleek for a couple years now, always had a great experience, delicious food, and a warm welcome from the owners and chefs. Steamed veggie momos and the beef curry is our go-to, but other dishes in the menu are also really really good and worth trying; notably the fried thentuk, ngo tsel tofu, and their breakfast. Never had anything so far that was below exceptional. Also highly suggest a cup of sweet tea in winter (or any time really) and mango lassi in the summer.
Very reasonably priced momos!!! This is a small restaurant, with very few tables of 2-4 seaters! My friend and I tried the momo sampler which came with 4 beef filling momos, 3 chicken momos and 3 vegetarian momos (made with some kind of potato filling)! They were steamed and delicious. The momos paired with the spicy dipping sauce was the best!
It s my first time here and I ordered the Tibetan breakfast. It was very tasty and nutritious. The momos was soooo good. Love the pickled radish that came on the side. However, I do not recommend the kottu roti. Everything on the menu is affordable and made in house. Please support this small business!
Best beef momos ever!
Vegetarian options: Hands down the most authentic and tasty choice in the area
Good food at an excellent price
The best of the best right here ladies and gents. I taste a big difference between these Momo than a few others in the area... Garleek has the best tasting ones. I feel like I have alot of energy after eating the beef Momos. Nutritious ingredients.
Ordered the thali didnt liked it. It was tasteless and stale.
Their service and food quality are very consistent, the food is really good and has a unique flavour profile compared to other similar restaurants I have tried. I highly recommend their breakfast combo.
Cheap eats, super tasty, and the kindest staff! Absolutely best service and wonderful owner. Couldnt be happier with my experience.
First time here and WOW super tasty. Quality food. Will be returning, again and again.
First time trying this place. Everyone loved it!
Might look like a hole in the wall, but the staff are super attentive and friendly. Foods got good sized portions and home cooked feel. 5/5!
Chowmein so yum
Delicious momos! We ordered the veggie steamed, and chicken and beef pan fried. Full of flavour and tender meat. They have a selection of hot sauces too (medium and very hot). Really fast takeout, our food was ready in 10mins.
Authentic Tibetan food, great service and friendly.
Got the Tibetan breakfast platter with sweet tea. Egg, fresh hot flatbread, spicy potato curry (aloo dum), chickpea curry (channa) and salad for less than $10 with tax is an amazing deal. Great service, fast, big portion size, will definitely be back for more. I ve spent some time in the Himalayas and this took me right back!
Excellent, delicious, fresh food served up by a very friendly head chef! We had the mixed pan-fried momos and the thentuk noodles with beef. Both were outstanding! Highly recommend swinging by when you re in the Little Tibet area.
Being from Vancouver, I have had limited exposure to Tibetan/Nepalese food, which is a shame because it tastes amazing! The momos and other dishes have an amazing blend of East Asian and South Asian that I think is extremely unique. A blending together of the best the world has to offer in terms of food. No other part of the world has anything that could even come close in terms of taste. I look forward to going here again for dine-in when the pandemic is over.
As a Parkdalien, Im not sure why it took me so long to try this place out. Ordered the aloo dum and a large, beef pho. The aloo dum was a great starter. Loaded with flavor. The beef pho was great! No MSG. The broth was right up there with some of the citys more popular spots. Great cuts of beef. Great noodles. Mmmmmmmm. I plan on ordering the thali and some momos next visit. Dont hesitate like I did... try Garleek Kitchen!
Best pan-fried chicken momos Ive had in Toronto, and delicious chicken chow mein that was perfectly seasoned. Will be going back on a regular basis.
Great taste, quick service and well manage. Thank you.
Guys, i love their food esp the chili beef. Its quite spicy so be careful tho. Staffs are very nice and the price is cheappp! Love love!
One of the best restaurants in Parkdale, food is ridiculously good. I usually order from here once a week! Just work your way through the menu, everything is fantastic.
BEST MOMOS IN GTA would be an understatement for this restaurant. Super friend owner and extremely good customer service. Food is upto the mark , rather above and beyond. Momos here are so authentic and not tailoired to serve the western taste like other competitors (i ll not name it you know it). Prices are reasonable. Quality of food is really good. 100% recommended for home-style authentic tibetan food. PS - Ask for less spice if your tolerance is low. Otherwise chilli momos would be an ideal first time choice.
The Momos taste good, but under no circumstances should you get the kothu roti. It was a soggy mess, a complete disrespect for the dish. It is not a proper kothu roti. They should take it off the menu.
There was a mistake with the order but they were so kind to fix it right away and worked so hard to get the right order delivered immediately free of charge. This was highly appreciated. Thank you.
I have wanted to try this restaurant for years and I finally had the opportunity to and I am so sad that it took me this long! I loved their food so much I went twice in one week! So much flavour and spice! Their chow mein and chilli chicken are my favourite! Everyone who have serviced us has been super nice and the price is ridiculously affordable that I feel like I am stealing! You will not get this kind of pricing anywhere in that area!
Food are really healthy and quantity is great along with price. Kind owner and workers
Best breakfast combo I ever had. Love it
They have the best Sri Lankan-style kothu roti in town! They do it better than the lankan restaurants around Toronto. Love the other options on their menu too.
They make some of the best momos in Parkdale. The flavours of Tibet, Sri Lanka, Nepal and Vietnam pair so well, you wont be disappointed. The chow mein is a staple dish I always order, you need to check this place out! They are also super affordable.
Its small but good food and clean. Smile and joking, funny owner. I like.
Fantastic food and service
Excellent food here at a reasonable price.
The breakfast and momos are great!
So many great flavours! Cute small spot.
Tried their famous breakfast with the Tibetan butter tea and it was very good. Portion size is big! Owner is friendly. Try going early if eating in as the place is very small with only few tables.
Momos are on point and delicious..!!
I ordered 1 curry chicken and 1 garlic-ginger chicken with roti on their website. By the time I got there they hadnt realized they had received my order. It was fine, staff was apologetic and friendly, I wasnt in a rush so just took a walk for 10 mins. The curry was disappointing and the chicken was half-hazardly butchered; im happy with bone-in curry but the chicken was pulverized and littered with broken bone. curry itself could use more punch in my opinion but it was fine. it said it would come with rice and it did not... The garlic-ginger chicken tasted nothing of garlic or ginger which was disappointing; oddly sweet and soy sauce covered chopped chicken. if the dish is called garlic-ginger plate I would expect fresh ginger and discernible garlic taste at the very least. It also said it came with rice and did not. Bland, Sweet, and a bit Weird to be blunt. Staff was otherwise very friendly and they had excellent reviews... maybe the momos are great but I cant attest.
Amazing food, quick service. Absolutely loved it.
I gave Garleek Kitchen a try today after my friend raved about them having the best momos and god he was right. Their pan fried vegan momos are big, juicy, absolutely delicious. Their menu ranges from different cuisines which is the most interesting thing. I will be back for their momos again and to try the veg thali for sure. Thank you for making my morning special with your great food :)
We love this place, its our favorite restaurant for indo chinese. We recently ordered chicken and vegetarian momos with chilli sauce on the side, veg fried rice and veg chowmein. Everything was delicious, the hot sauce with momos has a nice kick to it. The food itself is not spicy but the complimentary sauces are great if u want to spice it up. The portion size is generous, the food we ordered served 4 adults. Highly recommended if you love momos. Sorry gobbled up the whole food before we could click pictures. Will definitely add some photos next time.
The food here is amazing!! The chicken chow mein is the simple good stuff, and one of my usual orders. The soup-based menu items (e.g. myothuk) are super comforting and taste homemade; I like that they give the hot sauce separately to adjust to ones liking. I recently tried the pan-fried vegetarian momos, and was a bit disappointed: some of the momos had almost no filling inside them. Maybe it was a one off. Overall, its still one of the most terrific restaurants on the west end!
Always great food, super delicious! Definitely try the kothu roti, you wont be disappointed.
The fried chilli momos are amazing, a must try in toronto. The chow mein was great too with the 2 hot sauces they gave on the side.
Delicious food and fantastic service!! The momos are a must try! The food is delicious and well prepared, and the staff is so kind and provided amazing service! Highly recommend and most definitely will return here again!!
Soup for the Soul.
Tried veggie handmade momos, veggie chow mein and kothu roti today. Ordered in Ritual for pickup and was quick. All 3 very delicious and perfect taste with side hot sauces. Kothu roti was bit dry but liked the taste. Overall customer service, taste, price, packing and time was perfect. Will visit order again in future for sure! Thanks!
