Good Fork in Toronto

Went here for my birthday brunch. Food was good, but nothing you can t find at other places and pricey. The inside of the restaurant is quite pretty but the atmosphere is ruined by the service. The hospitality was not what I expected at all. It s not possible to reserve a table for brunch so I walked in and told the host that I was looking for a table for three. He asked where the other two people were. I told him their ETA was 8 minutes and he said that he would seat me only once the other two people were there. I ve never been denied seating because my party was 8 minutes away. Once my friends arrived, we were seated. We paid our bill at the end of two hours, and were finishing up the last sips of our drinks. Right after we paid our bill, the host walked over and warned us that the weekend seating time is only one and a half hours. Perhaps he should ve told us this when he was seating us and not right after we paid our bill and it was obvious we are about to leave. No star for service because while our waitress appeared quite nice, she was passive aggressive.

I had my birthday dinner at the good Fork. They accommodated 20 of us with ease. Not only were the service and food amazing but all of my friends now want to come back for brunch! Thank you to the team. This was a fantastic experience and I look forward to coming back again!!

I don t leave reviews much. But this place deserves one. I have been here 5 times now and every single time they have delivered outstanding service and food. One of the most consistent good food and service I ve experienced in Toronto. The food is soooooooo good, can t say enough good things. You must try this place at least once. It is worth it. Always get the extra crumbled sujuk. It is a game changer. Oh and the Pancakes are incredible.

Went in for dessert and wished we could have stayed for a full meal. Excellent kunefe and the lavender London fog was delicious.

The Good Fork is a great time! Went with my toddler, brother in law and mom and we all enjoyed the good forkin breakfast. Everything was plated beautifully and tasted so fresh and good! The restaurant itself is beautiful and super calming and welcoming. Very clean and at the front is a cute little spot to pick up yummy treats and goods. Service was super friendly and just great vibes from everyone. Loved it here and will for sure be back !

Delicious and incentive menu, it was hard to choose. Waitstaff was very attentive. I only give it 4 stars for atmosphere as the large space s decor makes it feel a bit impersonal. Would definitely recommend.

Very good Turkish food with a bit of a twist, in a good way. The çoban salatas was more filling with the addition of root veggies. The sucuk was excellent, as was the halloumi.

The food and service was great. I give 0 star to atmosphere because it s usually very crowded with tables not spaced out enough. there s been three babies crying the whole time next to us. Was Very annoying!!

To be honest I checked the reviews and I thought this might be a good place but my experience was really bad, first of all the coffee mug was dirty and the taste of coffee was tasteless and burnt! Secondly the Spanish Hash was so salty that we couldn t even eat it so we asked to return it! Thirdly one of the stuff gave us attitude when we asked for extra plates and forks. The only thing that I recommend which was great are pancakes!

I walked by this place so many times, I figured it was time to try it. It s a great and aesthetic brunch spot. There were a lot of food options, so I will be coming back to try more. I went with the Spanish Hash (Vegetarian) since I was wanting more egg and potatoes. The portion was huge, it ended up being my dinner later that night. Really cute interior, and the food was worth it.

Good Fork has a wonderful ambience. It s spacious, bright and vibrant without being over the top. The service is very good with super positive and attentive servers. The menu is rich and creative. We went there for breakfast and they had a large option of Mediterranean/Anatolian inspired breakfast items and you could tell they used good quality ingredients from the taste how flavorful the food was. I recommend the Çilbir, the omlette with aubergine and manchego (weekly omlette feature) and the pancakes with helva crumbles was really something to try. There are only 2 minor reasons I did not give 5 stars are: 1) coffee could be better 2) pricing could be a bit more reasonable

AMAZING brunch experience!

Overall I had a good experience. We went on a weekend that was particularly busy so the service was quite slow. Food was good with large portions. The Spanish Hash that I ordered is more than enough for 2 which I loved. Great atmosphere for brunch with friends. Would go again and try other things from the menu.

Pricey, but tasty. I came here solo before meeting some friends, it was my first meal of the day and boy did it fill me up. I got the Spanish Hash and it was a great deconstruction bowl of a Mexican breakfast. PACT with flavour, as well as portions. The only thing is that it s quite pricey .but I DID have left overs for later, if that means anything. I also ordered their coffee- it s alright. But I d love to come back to explore more of the menu in the future- thank you for having me! :)

One of my favourite brunch spots in the west end! They offer a unique menu with Turkish inspired options. The staff is always friendly, the decor is very warm and pleasant. No reservations on weekends, so try to go earlier!

I mean this place is just lovely! From the service, to the atmosphere, to the PRICES, to the actual taste portion size and FOOD! They got it right. Mediterranean and Turkish inspired dishes, a lovely balance between sweet and savoury, unique flavours (halva pancakes!?) lovely place, low wait times and beautiful environment. I cant stop thinking about the food. I cant believe I didnt know about this spot in Toronto! It was absolutely delicious, every dish was flavorful, beautifully designed and the whole brunch was such a treat! I cant wait for my next cheat day to indulge! 10 out of 5!

Best brunch I ve had. Everything so rife with flavour, so not dry and tasteless/overly salty or sweet like I (personally) find most brunch places. I really recommend the Spanish Hash, but would definitely order the Blueberry Pancakes again as well. The ricotta with blueberry was a great addition to the thick pancakes.

Just an overall crummy experience. Used to be better. Dietary restrictions: Don t order chicken if you aren t wanting to eat/smell fish. Spoiled chicken meat. Smells of fish. Removed from the bill. But no onc saw this as an issue. If I ate the food, I belive I would have got food poisoning. Its was rotten. Parking: There is none.

Excellent food but yikes the staff there was so rude and passive aggressive. We got there 15 minutes late, but the place was empty anyway so we apologized and asked if we could still be seated after they gave away our table...we got an eye roll and then they sat us at one of the many empty tables. My sister and I ordered the same thing, but different sides and her eggs were well done. They came with her plate first (this is the halloumi plate) and she was across the table so I took the plate from the waitress and placed it in front of my sister to help. When the waitress came back, my sister said excuse me, but the eggs are runny and I asked for well done and her response was well...yeah...thats because its not yours. Thats why I handed it to him (me), even though she literally called it the halloumi plate and I only took it from her to give to my sister, she didnt hand it to me Anyway, the food was delicious and this didnt take away from treating my sis on her birthday, but definitely baffled by the service. Highly recommended regardless, and Im sure Ill be there again!! Blueberry Halva pancakes were especially delicious! Oh, also, one person there was actually nice...her name was Risha (or Reesha...sp?)

I love Good Fork, its always the restaurant I reach for when I want a really good, hearty breakfast. I never have trouble with seating (a few times on the weekend, more during weekdays) and always get seated quickly. Their hummus dish is incredible, the bread is warm and fresh and all the ingredients taste amazing. While the hot drinks are priced accordingly for Toronto, they are tasty.

Dietary restrictions: Owner really took extra care and asked proper questions. Parking: The owner should provide free parking for an expensive but good food place to be in for the customers especially for the ones who book times.!!!. Food : 4/5 |

Wow! This was an unexpected delight. We had a fantastic Spanish hash. A nice amount of heat, chorizo to potato ratio was great, and it all blended well. Really large portion, even for 2.

Came for brunch and the food was delicious. I had the Spanish Hash with Chorizo and it was a huge plate. This is actually a great plate to share with someone. My friend has the Omelette from the specials menu and it was fantastic. I would recommend trying this spot.

Turkish inspired menu, clean and well crafted dishes that taste delicious. Highly recommend a visit but if you are a group larger than 2 you should make a reservation. There are a lot of concrete, glass and hard wood walls so peoples conversations bounce all over the place making this a bit of a noisy venue. Not a good first date or intimate meal place.

The space and ambiance is very nice. Wait staff could use more training, I asked a question about the menu and the answer was I dont know not even Let me go ask and Ill come back to you. They dont fill water glasses either, simply leave water bottle on table, that was a bit odd for a full service restaurant. Food was ok but not great. For the price there is better fare out there.

Had a good brunch at Good Fork! Servers were very nice and welcoming. Spanish hash is great! looks small but it is packed quite tight in the cast iron. Could be good for two meals. Blueberry pancakes are also very tasty, good to split with someone as an appy or have on your own.

One of the best brunch places in Toronto!! My friend and I loved their Cilbir and weekly omelette. We waited around 40 minutes for a table but it was definitely worth it. Highly recommended!!

I visited Good Fork today for breakfast, but the front desk staffs (a red headed young lady) behavior was disappointing. As a Turkish person, I value hospitality, but unfortunately, it was lacking here. The front desk person was unfriendly and unhelpful, which isnt typical of Turkish culture. This experience took away from our visit, and I hope the restaurant addresses this issue for better customer experiences in the future.

I had a bad experience at good fork today in Toronto. The front desk staff was rude and disrespectful from the moment we arrived all the way until we left. It s not what I expected from a restaurant like this and for the price we paid! Her only job is to welcome people with a smile. We were in this restaurant for breakfast today. Although the restaurant had a nice atmosphere, unfortunately, the hostess seemed overwhelmed and could have been more attentive. We were looking forward to a pleasant experience on this beautiful, sunny Saturday, but her initial demeanor contributed to a less-than-ideal start to our day.

The HOSTESS spoiled the whole experience! Avoid this restaurant unless you would like yourself to be exposed to racial slurs and attitude by a hostess. It is a terrible job by the restaurant to employ an untrained person for dealing with guests. (Visited Saturday morning, the hostess was a red headed female) Not going back until shes out of the door. Kid-friendliness: Hostess has an attitude and throws racial slurs. Not kid-friendly at all.

What the hell is wrong with this hostess (and the restaurant that keeps her)?! 10s of reviews about her and the restaurant still keeps this rude, out-of-the-line *****. She clearly has mental issues and requires treatment. Although it is sad, this is hospitality industry and she is the face of the restaurant. The neighborhood and community deserves better!

Was charged $7 for a meat add on , barely any meat added when pointed out to management they became extremely aggressive and raised their voice, and disrespectful. Will never return, they obviously have anger issues and the customers are not important. The

While The Good Fork boasts delicious food, my dining experience took a sharp turn for the worse when I witnessed the managers appalling behavior. A fellow diner dared to voice a complaint about her meal, as customers have every right to do. Instead of handling the situation with grace and professionalism, the manager chose to publicly berate the customer in front of everyone, regardless of whether the complaint was justified or not. The scene was embarrassing and uncomfortable. It was clear that the managers ego was more important than customer satisfaction. Such behavior is inexcusable in any establishment, let alone one that prides itself on offering a high-end dining experience. While the food at The Good Fork may be exceptional, the lack of respect shown by management towards customers is unacceptable. Until they address this issue and ensure that all guests are treated with dignity and courtesy, I cannot in good conscience recommend dining here.

Recommend to have lunch on weekdays. Very spacious and relaxing atmosphere. We had signature blueberry halva pancakes $21 and simit-witch(salmon, cream cheese) $24.50. Thick pancakes are good for 2-3 people and tastes are amazing. Its spacious and you dont have to worry about noise, so you can relax even with children. In addition to the popular blueberry pancakes, we also have weekly fruit sauce pancakes. The pancakes were a little chewy and had just the right amount of sweetness. The perfect combination of ricotta cheese cream and blueberry sauce, and the crunchy texture of Halva, a sweet treat made with sugar and sesame seeds. Even with maple syrup

Delicious Turkish food, coffee, and brunch options. I ordered the Anatolian delight platter and it was so good. Lots of options and little mezes to try and snack on. Friendly service. Big windows with lots of light. Beautiful decor. Good vibes overall.

The food, service, atmosphere was A-1 and the portions were large and the quality and taste were spot on thanks for the wonderful dining experience. This place is such a hidden gem! I ve lived in the area for a while and just discovered this place! Their menu is very large with lots of options. I am vegan and gluten free and Selina was SO helpful in finding items I could eat. She made sure to check with the kitchen that everything I ordered was vegan and gluten free. The babaganoush was incredible, especially with their gluten free bread. The home fries came out super hot, fresh, crispy and delicious. The star of the show was the Brussel sprouts with the vegan green goddess dressing. The flavour was UNREAL!! I will be back just for those. I was not personally a huge fan of their coffee. Went for a saturday brunch and it was really good! Got a table almost immediately which was really lucky on a busy weekend, and the food came out pretty quickly. Got the blueberry halva pancakes and the meze platter with garlic labneh, babaganoush, and whipped feta along with a coffee and tea. Very delicious and decent price range for all the stuff we got. Atmosphere was very lively and server/host were nice.

The place is nice but I m giving 1 star overall because they don t know how to treat with respect when people are waiting to be seated. The person that is receiving booking today (March 10,2024) should not be working in that position.

Great food, great ambiance, terrible service. The hostess was extremely rude to us and the rest of the customers waiting to be seated. She grossly mismanaged seating people, which resulted in several emtpy tables and quite a few people waiting. Unable to seat us, the hostess told everyone waiting for seating to wait outside. It was -2 degrees and snowing. The rest of the service team has always been helpful and attentive. Sadly, the incompetence of the hostess has ruined the experience of many.

I used to be a regular at this restaurant, but I was extremely disappointed with their new hostess. Yes we were a lot of people today and I m aware of the wait time on weekends but waiting 2-3 hours and say we may not be seated. She seemed annoyed that we were waiting indoors and rudely asked us to wait outside in the cold and snow, even though we were with a senior. If she had asked politely, it would have made a big difference. To make matters worse, she seated a group of three at a table for ten, even though a table for four was empty. It was a terrible management of table availability and overall experience. The restaurant should either train their new employees to have better customer service skills or hire a more capable hostess, because from my experience today, they lost a significant amount of customers.

Great place to have brunch! My wife, my son, and I spent a wonderful brunch at good Fork. I ordered the breakfast special and it came perfectly warm with a thick slice of bacon. My son ordered the bowl, and the portion was very generous and very delicious. my wife ordered the blueberry pancake stock which exceeded all expectations for taste and presentation. We found the pricing to be very reasonable. The coffee as well was outstanding. Highly recommend this place for a great brunch.

Food tasted amazing. Although I couldnt believe it cost $8 to add only 2 thick strips of bacon and the server was very dry and soft spoken. The pancakes are phenomenal and enough to split between 2 people.

The addition of mint, greens and dill made it light and refreshing. 4/5 Spanish Hash was extremely savoury with a familiar taste to it. The roasted peppers combined with the chorizo and potatoes were very comforting. The texture of the potatoes stayed crispy for a while. 4.3/5 Humous Bowl had a variety of different textured vegetables to pair alongside the humous. Mixing a bit of everything to eat with the mixed seed pita was very interesting. There would be the caramelized taste of the brussel sprouts + pickled cabage + refreshing thin onions (?) + Cucumber salad w/bursts from pomegranate + humous. 4.7/5 Sucuk Kofte With Haydari was very flavourful but felt too quick to finish. It was extremely juicy or anything but was tasty to eat with the other dishes and get more protein in. 4.1/5 Kunefe was very delicious when eating it fresh. I havent tried this from any other places so I have no frame of reference but it was quite tasty. The crispy sweet and slightly oily/fatty (in a good way like fried food) taste of the shredded filo + nutty pistachio + sweet stretchy cheese complimented each other. 4.2/5 The waiter was extremely extremely kind and patient! We asked a lot of questions and took a little bit but she answered slowly and had a great positive energy.

The blueberry halva pancakes were awesome here! Super filling that we had to take it home and enjoy it the next day too. The hummus bowl was also a solid choice. Sadly you can t book a reservation on the weekend, but if the resto is busy for brunch, you ll get great service sitting at the bar with the lovely barista serving you pretty quickly and getting your orders in quite fast.

We had the menmen with Sujuk I would say sujuk is the start here, very delicious Next time I will order the Sujuk sandwich Simit witch (smoked salmon) : simit (bread) is very good, perfect amount of ingredients Turkish coffee: perfection coffee cooked as it should, with the top foam (wesh)

came here to surprise my bf for his bday and he loved it!!!! this place is a hidden gem in the city!!! the food is great and offers varieties from different cultures!!

This was my first and what will be my only experience at this restaurant. I arrived with my boyfriend about 7 minutes after the restaurant had opened. Our friends were 10 minutes behind us and the hostess said we would not be seated till our full party was there. However, I assured the hostess that we were definitely there and our friends were right behind us. Only 3 tables were occupied at the time, so we asked why she wouldnt just seat us so we could order our coffees. She responded back rudely I have 141 reservations and I cannot just be giving tables that are reserved. Again. 3 tables had people at them. Where were her 141 reservations in that moment? Not freaking there. After our friends arrived, our friends assured us they had been here multiple times and the people are just like that here. Wow. Then we ordered. One of my friends asked that there be no onions in her meal to her waiter. After our waiter left, another member of the staff aproached us and said there were shalots in her food. My friend asked that they be removed or throughly cooked. The staff member said alright. When her food arrived there were basically raw shallots in her food. She had to send the food back. All this could be tolerated had the staff been more friendly, or apologetic or the establishment was busy. However, no one except our first server seemed to care if we had a good experience. Absolutely will not be coming back. Save your time and your money for places that care about service.
