Henry's Restaurant is an elevated but comfortable dining experience. Based on a constantly evolving, globally based, 'new Canadian' menu and supported by an award-winning wine list, Henry's has quickly become a staple restaurant for top dining in Toronto.
10/10 ! We went with a party of 6 and ordered the entire menu. The food and service were top notch all the way ! I was a bit surprised to read some so so reviews, this place is a gem . The shrimp toast was phenomenal as were both pasta dishes. Looking forward to coming back
There are places you go to have some food and there are places you go to experience pure magic. I had the privilege of celebrating my birthday in the wine shop & cannot say enough about the service, food, wine, and space. Everything was seamless from start to finish and the food was absolutely DELICIOUS. The owner, Ben, came by and was incredibly generous as well as Rebecca who made my night a true core memory for me and all of my friends. Lolo was the best server any of us had ever had - she was warm, attentive, thoughtful and a true professional. Thank you to the Henry’s team for such a beautiful experience. I am a client for life!
Amazing dinner, and cute patio! Our favourite dish was the pesto rigatoni and pomme royale but everything was delicious. Service was also amazing and they have a wine special between 5-7.
I had an incredible experience at Henry’s! This hidden gem is a Michelin recommended that manages to keep its prices totally reasonable. The staff is friendly and very attentive, and the food is absolutely tasty and high quality. Their picanha dish is perfectly cooked, juicy, and packed with flavor, and I’ve also had the mushrooms croquettes, very crispy on the outside and creamy on the inside. They also had a great selection of wines to accompany.
I was excited to dine at Henry’s, but I left the restaurant very disappointed. My girlfriend and I visited Henry’s for a date night. We’ve been to several Michelin recommended restaurants and have dined around the world. We knew what to expect. Unfortunately the service left much to be desired. We had a reservation and were seated promptly, we were given water and were then ignored for about 10-15 minutes. By this point we had decided our drinks, our mains and were waiting for our servers attention. After we were able to put our order in we found the ambience of the restaurant was uncomfortably loud. The dining room echoed, where it was difficult to hear my partner. At one point when a server delivered our food, she had to describe the dish multiple times because we couldn’t hear her. We tried to tell a server, though they couldn’t help as the restaurant was fully booked with multiple parties. For the rest of the dinner we felt ignored. The food was tasty, and the drinks were good. Though what is the point if they cannot be enjoyed, especially considering the price point. Our expectations were reasonable but we left disappointed choosing to finish our dinner at home.
A great spot with interesting tasting menu that certainly fills you. Each dish was shared with your group and it worked when we went for a business dinner. Lots of great wine pairings but difficult to add on extra glasses. Loved every bite!
Henry's patio is the hidden gem patio that you were looking and asking for, but never knew about. With a small, ambitious, and flavourful menu, Ben and team are true restauranteurs knowing how to treat their patrons well! We had a ton of the menu to go through, and each dish was on the same level of quality, aesthetics, and flavour. Would highly recommend coming here if looking for something new!
Great sharing menu with some unique items. I particularly liked the scallops and sawara (Spanish mackerel) and the surprising star was the Red Endive salad. Both my wife and I commented that it was the best Endive salad ever. Excellent wine list but it would be even better with a few more moderately priced options. Nice venue. The only glitch was the starting courses arriving while we were only partially through our cocktails (a pet peeve for me - I don't get why restaurants do this). Will be back.
We celebrated my nieces 30th birthday at Henrys last night, and it was amazing. We did a family style catering with a mix of amazing dishes that all had their unique charm! Everyone at the table was able to try each of the dishes and enjoy the essence of the chef...very well done! We had a serving of freshly baked bread with olives, rich butter and aioli served with this amazing Shrimp bread that doubled as a fritter....I can still taste it! Next was salad followed by a main course of delectable dishes. The chicken and steak dishes were perfectly cooked to texture and very well seasoned. The fish must of have been amazing because I didnt even get a chance to sample it. The green beens were off the chart! Definitely changing the way I make green beens in the future. Pasta perfectly cooked and extremely memorable. Wine was abundant and the privacy in our area added to our ability to tell stories and create more memories for our family. Ours servers and hosts were attentive, charming and helped us pull off an amazing event. Dessert was delectable and would have been even better with a fresh cup of coffee. All in all..Definitely a place I will book again!
The food was excellent and service outstanding. The shrimp toast was amazing
An excellent place to enjoy delicious food! Great for a group of friends who enjoy sharing many small plates. Every bite was exceptional. Highly recommend
Food was decent, portions are ridiculously small for the price, I know its supposed to be fine dining, but come on.
Always an amazing time with delicious food
Its a Michelin star for a reason, and the ever-changing menu & creativity of the dishes best describes the authenticity of this dining experience. The interior is gorgeous and youre greeted right a way. I would recommend making reservations in advance for the best seating arrangements. The menu definitely depends on the season, we couldnt stop saying wow after every dish we ordered. Everything was perfectly plated and rich with flavour. Definitely giving credit to the chefs vison, such as the chicken liver pate w/rhubarb jam sprinkled with chestnut, this inspirational dish resembled the classic peanut butter and jam theory. Highly enjoyed the twist and modern touch to food flavours. Cooking with parsnips, sunchokes, and delicious heirloom carrots for the autumnal season, really enhances the season to ones tastebuds. You never really know whats on the menu til you have a seat, however trust me, its really good and youll be satisfied til the very end. Theyre classic shrimp toast is a must try. The intimate atmosphere may get loud from time to time which is uncontrollable from a service stand point, yet guests should be mindful of the dining experience one is trying to portray.
1. Chicken liver pate: very good layers of the taste. The chicken liver is perfectly salted. with the cranberry add the touch of sweetness. The bread underneath is perfect toasted. Waited 42 mins for our second course (while the table next to us ordered after us and got their forth course) 2. Shrimp toaste: after waited 42 mins. I m too hungry, but surprising still find this dish taste sooo bad. The toast has not so much favor. Have to use the dip to make it tastable. The crust is extremely hard. (If I m not that hungry, don t think I ll finish it all) 3. salad: any salad from anywhere can be better than this. Can t believe this is a Michelin guide quality. 4. Green beans: very spicy. I love it. My partner couldn t eat it cuz too spicy. 5. Potato pave: potatoes are very good. The sauce is a bit sour for me. 6. Steak: before I ordered, I ask how much onze is the steak for one tasting menu. the waitress said 6 onze. Look at the picture. This is not a 12 onze for two people at all. 4,5,6 are coming in the same time that a table can barely fit. While waiting 42 mins for second dish and all three dishes would come in together to stuff you. This is a very horrible pace for dinner. 7. Dulce de leche flan: had one bite and I m done. Service: she would be here before you finish the last sip of your drink. But if you want a piece of lemon. Good luck. Also, never asked us how was the food. (Don t think the restaurant care) Nice place, little costumers. Ya. It s pretty empty, but they could still mess up the order try to give us same dish twice.
Just had an anniversary dinner and Henrys provided a very memorable experience. The chefs choice tasting menu with matching wines at $140 per person reflects great value. All dishes were intricate and balanced and were well matched with excellent wine choices. Service was friendly and knowledgeable and they made us feel very welcome. Perhaps music a little more chill than hip-hop might be better suited to the elegance of the space and the quality of everything else.
Food is good but ambience and service are not. There were lots of flies and the restaurant didn t feel very clean. Also, the waitress made us feel like we were an inconvenience, the staff seem to have an attitude problem. I don t think I would come back to this place.
Nice place, great servers, wonderful food, exceptional servers. And honestly, weve got the money, a great place to come and hang out, and have a drink, and eat some good food.
Food was generally fine, but DO NOT ORDER the beef tartare. Our whole table thought it had gone bad. It was grey and tasted of chlorine. It may be singularly the worst thing I ve eaten at a restaurant. We told our waiter that we thought it was off, and he explained that it tasted this way because they age it in-house, and that it usually prompts an explanation because many people comment on it. If that many people are commenting on it and thinking it is bad meat, one would think that you would change the preparation of the tartare. As a group, none of us are strangers to funk or bold flavours, but the tartare was inedible.
Excellent food from a team that clearly cares. The tasting menu is great value so theres no excuse not to have an experience. They double as a wine shop, so the drinks come well recommended as well.
Food was fantastic, Ezra was great, made our table laugh a few times. Overall would go back!!
The food here is Excellent! The shrimp toast is honestly one of the best dishes Ive had in a long time. Service is friendly and super accommodating. Our server Ezra was especially great! You can clearly tell that every chef in that kitchen holds themselves to an extremely high standard. A perfect mix of eclecticism, creativity, and amazing flavors, makes this, easily, the best restaurant experience I have had in a very long time.
If i could i would give it zero stars Very snooty not a comfortable atmosphere especially for the prices!
We tried this place as it was on the Michelin guide. The food was uninspired and lacked flavour. There wasnt much of a theme to the menu. The decor was sterile. The chef refused to make basic substitutions, such as sourdough for brioche for the pate, for a dairy allergy, citing the fact that its a french restaurant and theres dairy in everything. The wrong dish was sent to our friends table briefly, though not a big deal, the restaurant wasnt even full at the time. The waitress refused initially to bring butter and oil for the bread, saying we had to pick one or the other? The beef tartare, which usually should not have dairy, was topped with cheese instead of a quail yolk. The korean wings were good, but its just coated with charred gochujang. You can get better and more from a korean wing place. The beets were bland. The best thing was the sourdough. It came warm and fresh with a crunchy crust. If you want really good modern French inspired food, 20 Victoria is far better in every way. The food here was fine, but for the price its not worth it. Dietary restrictions: No substitutions for basic diary restrictions.
Wine selection is good, and drinks are really good. The espresso martini was fantastic! Food however is nothing special. It was hard to enjoy our lobster pasta after waiting one whole hour for it. Service definitely lacked, multiple people came to our table so we didn t really know who our server was and we were infrequently checked on. For a $200 bill I recommend going somewhere else.
I had a great experience and I recommend Henrys restaurant! Quality service from the team, very delicate and made with love! I congratulate chef Camilo for his haute cuisine and also his co-workers for their service and attention.
The wine which was 65$ worth turned out rancid. My guests returned it to me. Kinda disappointed
3.5 rounded to a 4 Food was pretty good. We tried a variety of their small plates and entrees to share amongst our group. Everything was fresh, vibrant and well balanced. The dishes were each presented with rustic elegance. However, I cannot recommend the overall experience. Service was unwelcoming and gave us an uncomfortable feeling throughout. Really dampened the whole night, so I wouldnt really rush back.
I had another great dinner experience at Henrys this past week. The food is outstanding, the service top notch, and they have one of the best wine lists in Toronto and fantastic sommeliers to help you with the wine and food pairings. Its a special night out, I highly recommend it, and make sure to stop by the wine store next door which is fantastic and has an outstanding selection of wonderful wines from around the world...
The food was pretty good, but nothing to write home about. The room is nice, but definitely needs some detailing. It was rather odd to eat while seeing an employee scoop brown liquid
Great experience at this restaurant. Food is really well done; creative and tasty. Great cocktails and an extensive wine list. Service is friendly and prompt; and nice ambience. Would highly recommend. Vegetarian options: Lots of vegetarian options!
If you want a mediocre dining experience and to be served by disinterested staff, then this is the place for you. Maybe our mistake was coming here for dinner instead of just for the wine. For starters, we got the fried chicken, which was completely flavorless. I m not sure if the kitchen forgot to add seasoning or what, but easily the worst fried chicken I ve had in my entire life. The shrimp toast was decent, but nowhere near as good as the one at MIMI Chinese. We also ordered the Brussel sprouts, which were by far the best thing we ate here. Extremely tasty. Would I come back for them though? No. Also, the pasta crown, which was impressive to look at, but fell flat when it came to flavour.
Been curious about this spot since I walk by it weekly. I dont see it talked about much online but it is usually busy when I cross paths. Made a last minute booking and got a street view table up front. Since I saw the menu online, I had an idea of what I wanted to eat: 1. Shishito peppers + OX + suya + crème fraiche 2. Crown ravioli + polenta + king oyster mushroom + parmesan 3. SMore Maple Marshmallow+ Chocolate and Grandma crust 4. Yuzu Spritz and lemonade The shishito peppers were great. The sauce base gave some texture and flavour. A few good options for apps but this one is worth getting. The ravioli was just beaming with parmesan cheese. A beautiful smell to inhale before you dig in. The dish is earthy is the best way to describe it... as you eat more you enjoy it more and more. Not what I expected but loved it. SMore dessert is great and a new item on the menu. Marshmallow is torched in the back and comes out smelling like a campfire . ...maybe if the chocolate was hotter this would make the dish even richer but maybe thats just in my mind. Both drinks were great. Id say get the yuzu spritz over the lemonade if thats what youre deciding between. Service was great. Friendly, approachable and made sure I was taken care of as someone dinning solo. Really enjoy the bar guy serving my table. He did a good job.
A unique and lovely spot in Queen West for wine and small bites. Definitely on the expensive side but you get what you pay for! The service was wonderful, and the atmosphere is lovely.
I felt like I was in a movie coming here. Amazing service from Ezra and I felt that he truly cared about my wife and I. Great recommendations from him. The next time we come here, Ill make sure I come when Ezra is working, to have another amazing experience.
Excellent meal, great staff and nice spot. Also relatively reasonably priced. Food : 5/5
Food was excellent. Great job chef. If you enjoy the presence of staff annoyed by your very presence this is the spot for you! Its not even rude, its just awkward and a weird vibe. You couldnt pay me to return.
Have a reservation on Dec 23rd evening, also checked google saying it s open this day. However, when we finally arrived in this crazy storming evening, the restaurant is closed. No one from restaurant informed me of this situation.
Extremely overpriced for what you get. Agree with the other reviews that the wine list is outrageously overpriced - huge markups. Portions are tiny and food is mediocre. Definitely a skip!
Overhyped and overpriced. Portions are tiny. dishes are well put together but they lack real flavour. Very dissapointed given the hype. Wine list is overly pretentious and expensive.
Another incredible meal in the gorgeously appointed Henry s. Food, service and wine list are all exceptional. 10/10 would recommend
One of my favourite spots! Incredible wine list, great staff and has fantastic wine shop where you can find the best wines in Toronto. Dietary restrictions: Accommodated any restrictions we had. Parking: Always easy to find parking in the neighbourhood. Kid-friendliness: They re wonderful anytime I come by with our young daughter.
Amazing food, gorgeous dining room and incredible wines - definitely recommend for a great night out!
Great service and food. One of the best wine lists in the city. Very knowledgeable staff.
This is a new favourite of mine. Food/Space/People/Atmosphere = 10/10 for me. I can speak for my dining companion, too. Well done, Henry s team.
Lovely service, great wine list with elevated classics!
Great wine list, amazing ambience, fantastic food!
This was the perfect date night setting. Wine list and cocktails were amazing and the food was unexpected and delicious. Shrimp toast and ceviche were some of our favourites. Can t wait to return to this beautiful new (to me) spot.
We were a roust group of 12, and had a great time. The knowledgeable and friendly staff provided just the right amount of corralling to keep us in line. The kitchen s food was spot on, as they tailored a menu for us. I would certainly recommend, and will be back! Nicely done Team Henry s!
Absolutely loved it! We sat at the bar and the service was fantastic. Loved everything about this place and can t wait to go back.
Loved everything the decor , the comfortable seating, the ambiance , the staff , the service and the food!!! Uniquely delicious options and the staff were so friendly, efficient and proud to be serving at Henry s. Highly recommended!
Had an absolutely amazing meal. Food was possibly outdone by the service which was 5 star. Wine list is the best in the city.
We had an AMAZING experience at Henrys. The food was absolutely delicious - every dish we chose was extremely good. Highlights include the beef tartare (super flavourful and tasted like pho broth), kalbi shortrib saam (extremely tender), squash (so rich and complex with all of the toppings) and the shrimp toast (flavor bomb!). We also loved the scallop (amazing sauce) and the endives (very fresh). The cavatelli cacio e pepe was a new years eve special and came with a generous serving of truffle. Overall we would highly recommend for a special date night!
Unbelievable service, food and atmosphere. I ll definitely be back.
Excellent experience, all around! Highly recommend this amazing place.
Such a disappointment after reading previous reviews. We ordered the squash (hard, dry and flavourless, burnt and, despite multiple toppings, amounted to eating cardboard), a scallop crudo which was quite pretty but tasteless, something forgotten as quickly as it arrived, then while waiting for an eternity for our mains, we ordered another vegetable dish, this time the celeriac, which arrived resembling a solid brick of root (poor digestion!) covered in sunchoke puree, thick, gluey and cold. So unfortunate to have such great vegetables reduced to a no, thank you. The short rib ssam as a main was not bad, but only the first few bites. After that, we realized, oh this is just bland fat were eating, and its cold... the accompanying kimchi was okay, so if you want to pay 45$ for kimchi, Im still sure theres better elsewhere? The duck was also mediocre, a dish that could have been delicious, but was cold and expressionless, not made better by a gelatinous jus poured table side. The carrot puree was a saving grace, but again, $45 for a carrot is rather pushing it. Really not sure whats going on here, but a rethink of the menu is decidedly in order. That and heat (and some salt maybe?) ! Everything arrived cold. Service was fine. While understanding the constraints facing restaurants is one thing, paying $220 for an awful meal is a groan to be avoided.
Environment is good. Food terrible!
Great experience! Staff are welcoming and the restaurant has great energy.
Despite the food good, they rushed us to order our food because they were closing their kitchen. We reserved dinner for 9:30pm and the kitchen closed at 10pm. They shouldn t take reservations at 9:30pm if there rushing you to order your food.
Great experience. Good for date night.
Had a wonderful experience here. Food and service was excellent. They also helped make my marriage proposal a memorable occasion for my fiancee and I.
Amazing food at reasonable prices. Knowledgeable servers that genuinely love the food and drink. Ask for suggestions. Shrimp toast is a must
One of my fav restaurants so far. Good amazing. The only thing I would add the champagne glasses. Because it s not cool drinking champagne from wine glasses with such a nice meal. Took a friend for her birthday, they included cake in a bill. But no regrets the dessert was delicious
Wonderful new spot in the neighbourhood, food was delicious and the service was perfect (our server Graham was so gracious!). What more could you want.
We tried Henrys on a busy Friday night, we sat at the bar which we usually enjoy and this place did not disappoint. We got 2 spots at the bar with the proviso that there was a reservation and we only had an hour and 15 minutes but that turned out fine although we would have happily lingered longer. The food is spectacular fusion with interesting flourishes, but servings are on the small side. My wife and I share happily so all good... wines are pricy, no glass of red under $18 and that looks like a 5 oz pour... Overall a great experience with a cool vibe, minimalist decor, but great service and attention to detail. Just brace yourself for the bill, you definitely pay for this experience.
We went here for drinks last week and they were absolutely amazing! The bartender was so friendly and very knowledgeable. I can t wait to go back to try their food.
Great sommelier! Food is perfect for sharing and great unique flavours and fresh pairings. The menu changes every month!
Great meal, service and vibe. The sommelier was fantastic. Shrimp toast, pasta and cream puff were the highlights. They coursed out the food a bit too quick. The pasta was cold by the time we finished the salad.
Food flavor is decent but the plates are tiny and overall, felt overpriced.
Came for Valentine s Day, we ordered at 6pm and the service for our food was extremely slow. I think they wrongly delivered our food to the table next to us as they ordered every dish we did and got all their dishes 15-20min before us even though they came and ordered after us. We had to leave by 7:40pm to catch a reservation at 8pm so we asked for the rest of our stuff to go. (Beef short rib and potatoes) We also had 2 orders delivered to our tables that wasn t ours, so I think there was confusion around the food ordering and seating? We got the bread, shrimp toast, beef tartar tart, Korean short rib, potatoes, parpadelle. The stand outs are the beef tartar and shrimp toast for sure! They gave everyone a complimentary cream puff for Valentine s Day which was sweet.
Food was good and served fast, however the portion was TINY, especially for this price point. We (2 girls) ordered 5 to 6 items based on the recommendations, however still ended up having a second dinner nearby. I repeat, the portion was teeny tiny. Its like amuse bouche for each appetizer. The main was smaller than Alos tasting menu.
We had the pleasure of dining in the private dining room with a group of friends. All of our guests were blown away by the innovative tasting menu along with the wine pairing. Service was impeccable. It felt like we had the entire team serving our table. Would highly recommend. Can t wait to go back.
If you love high quality food and wine, Henrys is the place to go. The staff are very knowledgeable and they boast an impressive wine list. The bottle shop next door lets you take some home, too! Food bites are small with a focus on high quality. Presentation is excellent. I had the pleasure of chatting with Ben who is a great host and accommodated our walk-in visit during a busy time. Cant wait to come back!
Dined around the world, and this is an attempt but not anything great. Confused dining area environment, food looks good in appearance but very small and overpriced (you can can good full portions in fine dining without question), and wine is served by bottle or glass and handed to you with no initial tasting to ensure satisfaction (strange for a wine bar that should have focus on wine). Will not return. Potatoes were oily and carried a bland taste due to overreduced sauce. Papadella was just okay. Fried chicken was tiny. Wine was fine but doesn t beat what s at home. Didn t enjoy the environment not calm and a bit messy.
I had an amazing experience at Henrys. Owners Roxanne and Ben are lovely and go out of their way to ensure diners have a great experience. Every last detail is thought of - from the beautiful ambiance, to gender neutral washrooms and Aesop soap, to a thoughtfully curated menu, to offering ibuprofen when my friend advised she had a headache. Staff are friendly and professional. The wine list is extensive and food is incredible. Highly recommend.
Overpriced and overrated, tiny portions and not that great tasting. Wine list was underwhelming. The whole vibe in the restaurant felt off, definitely not worth the price and left hungry. Wanna be fine dining but just in a classic pretentious Toronto style. That kind of restaurant won t fly in Europe.
Beautiful restaurant with a warm and inviting atmosphere. Food was delicious and full of rich tastes but very small and not filling. Service and hospitality was impeccable from the second you walk in the door. Average price per small dish was $25.
I love the vibe and interior design of this place, first of all. And the two cocktails I had were so delicious - that daiquiri was so unique but gorgeous. Thank you Dexter for the amazing service. He was so easy to get along with.
Came here for the first time for my friends birthday and had the loveliest time. Dexter took great care of us and gave great recommendations - the shrimp toast is a must try!! Will definitely be back :)
Food and service was incredible, the shrimp toast is a must!
Went in here for an overpriced cocktail ($55 for two with tip) with my husband. Espresso martini was kinda watery. Let me tell you something... the dried flower display on the way to the washroom was a nice touch! Speaking of, the individual stalls with the most PRIMO toilet paper, and lovely scrubbing scented hand soap are the things Ill be talking about this place!
Without a doubt, this restaurant stands out as one of the finest dining establishments I have ever had the pleasure of visiting. From the moment I stepped through the doors, I knew I was in for an extraordinary experience. The food served here is nothing short of exquisite, with each dish bursting with exceptional flavors that leave a lasting impression. The attention to detail and culinary mastery showcased in every bite is truly remarkable. The service provided by the staff is exemplary, displaying a level of professionalism that enhances the overall dining experience. Their attentiveness and knowledge of the menu helped guide our group of coworkers through a delightful culinary journey. We opted to order a variety of dishes for sharing, which allowed us to sample a wide range of flavors and culinary creations. The shared experience fostered a sense of camaraderie and added an extra layer of enjoyment to our evening. I wholeheartedly recommend this restaurant for a special night out or any occasion that calls for an extraordinary dining experience. The combination of delectable cuisine, top-notch service, and an ambiance that exudes elegance makes it a perfect choice. Whether youre celebrating a milestone, looking to impress someone special, or simply indulging in an unforgettable culinary adventure, this is the place to be.
edited after 4 visits: still and always my favourite restaurant in Toronto. The details and care put in the food are beyond expectations. The menu changes regularly and I am yet to taste a dish that I find just ok. Can not recommend enough.
Portions are tiny. Smaller than the first couple of times when we had dinner there. Not worthy of the price. Totally disappointed this time back. The place was quiet with no other diners in the room. No coffee available with dessert. Food
Lovely wine selection, well pair with small bite menu Always a good time, for me and my dog Food : 5/5
Great experience with friends, we ordered everything on the menu to share and it was definitely filling. Favourites would be the shrimp toast and tuna tartare- highly recommend. Although very delicious, the tiny fried chicken was probably the least impressive relative to the rest of the menu. In terms of feedback I d say the consistency in customer service could be improved and a better explanation of the dishes if working towards a Michelin star. On the way out it was cool to see Susur Lee hanging out with who appeared to be the owner of Henry s. Overall great experience!
Perfect food, thoughtful service, and a beautiful space. Plenty of non-alcoholic drink options and a constantly rotating menu based on seasonal ingredients. The food is refreshing and surprising. The team is warm, attentive, and will readily guide you through the menu with patience. Our meal was perfectly paced - we couldnt have asked for a better evening!
summer menu (august) for GF b-day dinner. oh well, not sure how this got Michelin guide Canada, very disappointing in general start w the wine: $25 for 4 oz a glass of year 2021 wine. not even a vintage selection appetizer : octopus was suvee which was tender however the sauce r too salty. summer salad was a joke : serve with rotten leaves and too much dressing.(this already disqualified and a fail not meeting michelin standard) shrimp toast: it s an average dish and very greasy. the lemon grass dipping sauce has no lemon grass aroma at all. Main: the sea bass is the only one dish acceptable however not a surprise dish, plain and garnished with a bunch of dill. the flat iron (steak) with curry sauce; just not match at all no balance and high sodium; it s a FAIL dish. service is ok; no recommendation to us; witnessed and overheard other two tables that their cocktails r not good at all. server replaced with wine. open kitchen concept: some how the cooks and chef were on their phones most of the time. sorry for my honest comments such poor review but this is a BIG FAILURE and bad experience ever ever ever (from beginning to end) with michelin recommendation. no surprise or wow dish at all.
My partner and I went to Henrys to celebrate his birthday. Its a unique place I found in the Michelin Guide recommendations, and we werent disappointed. Our server was so friendly, the food was delicious, and I found a good amount of vegetarian options for myself. Theres a huge list of wines to try, and I love how the menu changes so often, with a focus on using a lot of local ingredients. Highly recommend!
Chose this for my birthday dinner with my sweetheart and in-laws. The space and experience really appeals to people of all ilks and ages. The space is cool and stark though candles and wonderful staff add a generous dose of warmth. We enjoyed everything we ordered and amongst four adults we polished 11 of the small plates, including a dessert we split. And we were all very satisfied. A note on the wine, my bon-vivant-will-travel-for-food-and-wine family wasn t thrilled with the wine list in terms of varietals/price points for bottles, meaning they wished they had more options; we opted to enjoy by the glass/cocktails. My FIL asked if his Pinot was a fresh bottle and they confirmed it was open the night before (which is fine and perfectly acceptable!), and they offered to replace his glass, but he declined and was happy to finish (he was more curious and didn t position as a complaint). I would be curious to see what s on rotation the next visit. I get the impression they cycle new bottles in with some frequency. I m not sure if it s on account of knowing it was a celebratory meal, the question about the Pinot, or just a surprise and delight gesture but they comped our dessert and delivered with a candle - that felt low key extra special. We enjoyed our evening in the dining room, though the patio seemed cozy and the chic bar accommodated guests with ample room to enjoy. I would recommend Henry s for a variety of occasions (and non-occasions). I could see myself walking by at the end of the day and popping into the bar for a glass of wine and what one of the lovely staffers called chic poutine (a potato dish with veg demi-glace and cheese). This spot has the unique ability to be just right and not too much of anything - which is really special and draws a unique and loyal following. Will return. Vegetarian options: They seemed willing to accommodate but there were seemingly a good variety of veg options the night we dined. The potato dish was an excellent and hearty example.
cute small plates
Very over price for what it is. The taste is ok. Average in most cases. Tried most dishes and only 1-2 were really good. The rest were average. Definitely definitely not worth the price. Not a fan of small portions all together but particularly dislike those that take it to another level with making sure the size is extremely small. If they bring down the prices and increase the portions sizes it might be decent restaurant at best.
Super accommodating for my large group and extremely reasonably priced for the chefs choice menu. I wasnt sure if $65 per person was going to fill me, but I can say with absolute certainly, it did,and it didnt disappoint! The amount of food and number of dishes all worked well. I loved that they have corkage, which we took advantage of and also purchased 5 additional bottles from their extensive wine list. Our server was absolutely amazing and will definitely be back! The food was soo amazing, I forgot to take a single pic. Youll just have to trust me that it was worthy of a perfect rating!
Very little portions over priced and slow repetitive no value add service staff. Yes they tell you portions are small but their dishes are not exiting Micheline wanna be. Good idea but need more work
Food was good; it was all ok but nothing exciting or anything I would go back for. Decor is stunning, its a really beautiful restaurant but it was nearly empty the whole evening and the few guests that were there were all seated very far apart so it felt sparse in ambiance. Service was on the pretentious side, no warm or friendly moments and they wouldnt help split the bill at the end with what people actually had ordered (we were only three, and there were only a few tables, but alas). Wine recommendation was good, and they have a great selection, so that gets a 5 star. I would give it another chance on a Saturday night maybe but I think this place is on the overrated side.
Wow wow wow. Don t tell Eric from Jules next door but this is also an amazing destination. The ravioli is to die for. Ambiance is amazing. And the bartender is on it. If you can t get into Jules, than their Michelin neighbour is a great 2nd choice.
I was one of the first people that ever went to this fantastic restaurant. Right there and then I told my friend that this will be a Michelin Star restaurant. I love this place one of my top 3 places to eat in.
BEST WINE BAR IN TORONTO
Great atmosphere great people great food. Best in the city.
Beyond yummy!
Amazing new restaurant near Trinity-Bellwoods. The menu and wine are well curated, the staff is attentive and friendly, and the atmosphere is lively. The starters are great to share, I especially liked the East Coast oysters and beef tartar. Daniel and Devon were amazing and made our meal and evening a blast. Give this new restaurant a try and enjoy its culinary delights.
Great new wine bar in the West End. Friendly staff, highly recommend.
What s there to say? Nailed it.
First time dining at Henry s .Wonderful experience. The food was delicious with many subtle flavours I especially loved the scallops and the skate wing. Excellent wine choice for us by Ben. The ambience was upbeat, the staff was friendly courteous and efficient Big thank you to Charlie We will definitely be back
A delightful casually elegant wine and dining experience. Excellent attention both to the details and the overall concept.
Get the chocolate dessert. I mean it.
What a gem! Fantastic service and a beautiful space to be in. A tad noisy with how sound travels, but either way it s a truly lovely space to spend some time in having a drink.
Wonderful ambiance and decor. Food was delicious. We ordered the burger, zucchini blossoms, lychee ceviche and the pasta alla vongole. The lychee ceviche was by far my favorite dish, very refreshing. The pasta was al dente, the clams were a bit salty for my preference (but that would be a me problem since I prefer dishes will less salt). Overall it was a great experience, the only reason I gave it a 4 star it was given that there was no AC so it was a little bit hot since we went on a particularly and hot and humid day.
Great new spot with a wonderful atmosphere. Big tables, delicious food, and the staff was always smiling. Charlie, our server, was awesome. Attentive, great attitude, and answered all our questions. Everything tasted amazing, cocktails were on point, and the dessert was a highlight on an already fantastic meal. Special thanks to Daniel for hooking us up with a table on a busy Friday night!
Very nice new spot. Decor was modern, the staff was very friendly, and the food was actually quite good. Not sure if it was broken that day, but there was no AC on a day where temperatures were in the mid-30s, but the food was good enough for me to stay. The lychee ceviche was great, and the burger was good.
Friendly staff, great wine list, owners are great. Im happily making this my new local wine spot!
Had dinner here on a Saturday evening. Originally booked for a Sunday via their reservation platform, but was contacted by someone at the restaurant that there was an error and they had to cancel my reservation, and they offered a glass of sparkling each for my party for the inconvenience. I was very appreciative, and rebooked my reservation for Saturday. In my reservation, I indicated that it was for a special occasion, and my allergies. When we arrived, no mention was made about the special occasion, or the allergies. Wine recommendations from the server were not good, and no mention of the offer of a glass of sparkling for the reservation error. Food was fine; generally things were under-seasoned. Wouldn t recommend this place - there s plenty of other expensive, mediocre places in the city, but they will probably pay better attention to your guest experience.
Was excited to try out a new restaurant that just opened in the area and was not disappointed! The service was on point, and the wine menu was extensive. The owner also made his way around each table to check in, which was a personal touch I really appreciated. For food I had the beef tartare which was PHENOMENAL (literally the best tartare I ve ever had) and the pasta alle vongole. The pasta was a bit salty for my taste but good portion size and still delicious! Would recommend for an intimate date night or for special occasions
best spot in the city!!! can t wait to come again!
Amazing place
Had the best martini here and my server sophie was so kind and helpful with my drink order, best service !
Already been here twice and I m surely looking forward to returning again very soon! Love everything about this place: from its ambiance, to interior design, to service, to changing and creative menu with fresh and local ingredients, seeing the owner walk around and advise himself on the wine pairing (thanks Ben!) and how welcoming the space feels. I really appreciate the wide selection of wines and how delicious every meal is. The simplicity of the buns with honey butter is such a phenomenal starter or the unassuming heirloom tomatoes just wow.
Highly recommend this restaurant in the Queen West area. The service was top notch and the food was impeccable. A variety of dishes with many incorporations of wonderful flavors. I recommend ordering the lychee ceviche, beef tartare, spinach tortellini and the lamb. They also have a great selection of wine. Will definitely be coming back.
Food is super creative but missing something. Wine list is A+++ but super expensive. They need to work on service but the intention is for sure there. Maybe come back in a few months?
Delicious food, great drinks but most of all the staff was absolutely amazing! We sat at the bar and had apps and dinner our bartender was super nice and hostess was absolutely adorable it was a great experience!
The restaurant is lovely, bright, and classy. From the moment we arrived and throughout the entire night, the bartender, waitstaff, kitchen, and owner were very welcoming and friendly! Though the food portions were small for the pricing, it was a nice space to dine. Chef took the time to explain what was in each dish to ensure there were no allergies to worry about. There is also a large wine selection available. Definitely would recommend for a classy girls night, date nights, or large parties.
Another cracking Toronto restaurant with super fresh dishes that wow. We ordered a wide array of dishes between us and they nailed every single one of them.
One of the best restaurants I have been to in while. The flavours are fantastic. Each one better than before. The lamb ribs are an ABSOLUTE MUST
Spent $350 at this place tonight and had to stop at Allen s on the way home.
Beautiful spot. Great menu!
We were walking by and noticed a well decorated and busy spot, and decided to stop in. Great decor and music. We were greeted by a hostess who offered us Prosecco while we waited for a table for two. After 10 Minutes we were seated. Service was great, as was most of the food and atmosphere. Portions were smaller and priced on the higher end, however everything was enjoyable. We loved the lamb, the beef, spiced cauliflower and the milk buns. The salad was nice and the most generous portion out of everything we ordered. The duck croquettes were just ok, and oddly served over a bed of soybeans. All and all would recommend Henry s and would return again.
Had a great meal @ Henrys on 08/26. We were a group of 6. Decor is really nice - minimalistic/clean. The staff were very attentive and approchable, we had multiple servers & hosts on our table, all of which were well-coordinated. The wine was a stunner (and not overly marked up!). Lastly, the food was good overall - some dishes were better than others, but there were zero let-downs. Price-wise, the meal wasnt cheap ($130 per person, including wine/cocktails), but par for the course for this area and experience level. Overall it was a great evening, and Id recommend it to anyone looking for a nice dinner out with friends. Good job Henrys - Ill be back.
Had a wonderful experience!! The food was delicious and the staff was very attentive!! I definitely recommend.
Must eat food some of the in Toronto I recommend it
Amazing food and wine to enjoy with friends/family for a casual or special occasion. Great experience with the staff/servers in the restaurant - fantastic service all around. 6/5 stars.
Great for drinks, not so much for dinner. Hit and miss dishes, tiny portions, mediocre service considering the price point.
Still can stop thinking about those lamb ribs!!!! Wine and service were perfect, thanks for the great night!
What a Wonderfull experience. Service was great as the drinks ( Big thanks to the bartender , I forget her name unfortunately ). Cocktails on the menu are incredibles. We loved the vibe , the ambiance. Staff are smiling we even had the privilege to have a little talk with the owner , delightful. Open since only 3 months , Henrys is definitely worth a shot and Im looking forward to be back next time Im on Toronto !
Delicious food and excellent atmosphere. Good for a night out with friends or on a date. Special shout out to the Sommelier, Jacques; so knowledgeable and passionate about his wine. Great grown up addition to Queen West, sophisticated yet approachable.
Amazing on all levels. Food, service, atmosphere. Highly recommend whether you re from toronto or visiting. One of the best restaurants in the city.
Had a great dinner experience at Henrys last night! The staff are super friendly, Jacques, the sommelier was knowledgeable and incredibly helpful. They have lots of interesting wines and wines that you cant find elsewhere, which is great for the wine lovers. The food was fantastic, everything we ordered tasted delicious! The milk bread was YUM! My favorite bite would probably be the dry aged duck breast - I wish we had ordered two of that dish! Overall had a great experience! Would definitely come back!
Food tasted really good but portions were TINY. We were caught off guard when the sever suggested 10 dishes between the 4 of us. You probably need like 12+ dishes to be full if you eat a bit more. Most dishes were so small we only got a spoonful when shared 4 ways. The servers were very upfront about the portions though and recommended us to get multiples for some dishes. Lots of wine selections but only a few were under $100 per bottle. Great service.
Absolutely incredible. Not only is it a beautiful restaurant, the service was immaculate and the menu by Chef Kevin Le was INCREDIBLE. The staff is so incredibly knowledgeable and friendly. This is a perfect spot for a date night and would be super fun with a group of friends. Highly recommend. One of the best spots in Toronto.
Perfect place for a date spot or a night out with friends! Delicious food and extensive wine menu! Highly recommend!!!
The food was absolutely outstanding and the staff were exceptional. From bartender to chef to serving staff. I HIGHLY recommend you indulge and enjoy a meal at Henry s.
Great decor, atmosphere and wine. portions were small but most items on the menu were good. The shrimp toast was my favourite. Would not recommend doing the set menu as it was not portioned out right. Better off ordering a la carte. Will likely return again.
wonderful experience
Visited Henry s for a birthday in their private dining room. All the members of the staff were so friendly, service was fast and on point. Our table was touched by multiple staff members and made us feel so welcomed. Highly recommend!
It was alright. A lot of hype so decided to go for a group dinner. Collectively we thought it was fine. Interior wasnt special - nice bar but dinning area was lacklustre. Food is good but cold - not just one dish, 4/6 entrees were lukewarm - cold. For the price point, I expected more.
Excellent food, knowledgeable staff, and pleasant hospitality. My wife and I celebrated our first anniversary and chose Henrys as our meal before seeing a show. We were greeted and seated at the time of our reso, and the FOH team did a great job at acknowledging our notes attached to the reso (i.e. our anniversary celebration and needing to get out of there under time constraints). We ordered their Punch cocktail to start, which was delicious, and after chatting with our excellent server, Carly, we decided to indulge in the Chefs Choice menu, which we were so happy with in the end. The highlights off the Chefs Choice were the Blue Fin Tuna Tartare, Hokkaido Scallop Crudo, Ricotta Agnolotti, and Sticky Toffee. To those looking for a special meal out with an excellent wine menu, Henrys is a solid choice. Somethings to note are its pricier fare and smaller portion sizes. Still, my wife and I were so extremely satisfied and will return.
Friendly and super attentive staff, charming atmosphere, incredibly delicious food and great selections of wine/cocktails.
Came as a group of 6 for a girls night and Henrys did not disappoint! To start, the decor and ambiance of the restaraunt was minimal, cozy and very welcoming - perfect for small gatherings and date nights. There was an extensive wine menu with a knowledgeable wine sommelier on site and while their cocktail menu is seemingly small, the bar seemed to be well stocked enough to make many off menu drinks - our group had ordered whiskey sours and lychee martinis, both excellent. The food menu tends to change slightly and on this night we had ordered the hokkaido scallop crudo and blue fin tuna tartare with shiso, both were so fresh and tasty. Our group also enjoyed the beef tartare tart which was made to taste just like pho.The shrimp toast is a staple on the menu and for good reason - this tastes incredible. Lastly while the ambiance, food and drinks were 10/10, it was the service and attention of the staff that made the dining more enjoyable. I will definitely be coming back and highly recommend to check this spot out.
My boyfriend and I went to Henry s and we had the greatest experience. Service was excellent, food was spectacular, the restaurant is very sophisticated and has a cozy atmosphere. Our server, Dylan, was impeccable. I absolutely loved the lychee ceviche, shrimp toast and the picanha stake. My boyfriend loved the Matcha dessert. Wine was delicious as well. I will definitely be coming back and will recommend to all of my friends!
Classy and sleek spot for a diverse range of food options. We especially enjoyed the scallop crudo (seriously, excellent), the lamb ribs and the shrimp toast. Friendly staff and the service is top-notch as well. An overall fantastic dining experience.
Always wanted to try this place since it opened. The wine was good but very over priced. We were expecting so much from the wine list but it was average. Nothing special. Food was timy, the shrimp toast was amazing. The tartar was so small there was not enough for two. The lamb was bland and very fatty. Not tasty at all. We were not informed that the place was tapas. When we complained about the food the staff member rolled her eyes and said sorry I guess they get that complaint a lot. In short, this is a skip. We will never eat here again. There are too many good restaurants to waste your money here. Management checked on every other customer but us. Not classy! Definate skip and save your money. Got some great recommendations from the staff for dinner as we left. Lol. Never in my life have I been accused of having champagne taste on a Prosecco budget. What a slap in the face.
Amazing meal, service, and experience. Chef Kevin Le has a way with flavours. Waitstaff super friendly and efficient. The sommelier recommended the perfect bottle for our meal. A must try!
My third time eating here and its always amazing. Great variety of small plates that you can easily fill up on -- incredibly high quality, seasonal ingredients and attention to detail in all the dishes. Service was excellent, and while most people come for the wine, the cocktails are great too!
I always preview a menu before booking because my husband has a severe nut allergy when I looked only there was no mention of nuts, and when I called Ahead I was informed that we d be fine just to let our sever know when we get there. Well when we got there we were told that about 50% of the menu has nuts and all of the proteins and mains courses are is marinate in nuts. We had very limited selection and left hungry which didn t make for a good wedding anniversary celebration Small recommendation to the restaurant highlight on your menu if it contains nuts
My favourite restaurant with a consistently tasty menu and exceptional wine selection. Love the team and service.
Average and overpriced food and wine.
What a lovely dining experience! Atmosphere is cool but comfortable, the wine is delicious and the food is super tasty. I ve gone back a few times because the menu changes frequently! Always a good time
Absolutely incredible dining experience at Henrys. The staff are so welcoming and kind and the service was definitely 5*s. The food is a whole other level - well thought out pairings, tastes that will leave you coming back for more and the wines are like no other. Its certainly a diner experience you dont want to miss with gorgeous interiors and just a fantastic time. A beautifully done restaurant - will definitely come back!
I ve been waiting forever for a good wine bar to come to Queen west! I ve dined in a bunch so far, the food and wine is amazing! My clients , friends and co workers all just love it! Their wine shop next door is amazing too if you want to go home with some great wines! Welcome to the Queen west neighborhood!
The food was great but the portions are so small. Be prepared to spend a lot if you want to not leave hungry.
One of the most memorable dining experiences Ive had was at Henrys on Queen. The service was impeccable, with the head chef coming over to our table to explain each dish he carefully designed. The sommelier was extremely knowledgeable in suggesting a delicious wine pairing with our meal and our group loved the whole dinner from beginning to end! In terms of dishes, I would highly recommend the beef tartare tart with pho gelee - what a unique and delicious combo. Cant wait to visit Henrys again in a few weeks!
Incredible restaurant! Pretty much got the entire menu and I was not disappointed! Chef Kevin Le has done something special here. Beautiful restaurant and good vibes, perfect for a date night.
Completely over rated! Very expensive and food was ok. Bill was over $300 for 2 of us with 1 glass of wine each and we left hungry. We dresses up for the occasion and the hostess greeted us in jeans. Its casual dining. It was my 50th birthday and meal was definitely not something I would remember. Had to order the smashed potatoes to fill up. My wife who took me there was very embarrassed with the experience. candle. They also forgot it was a birthday. We had to tell the waiter and he later brought candle. Should have gone to a Mark McEwan restaurant for that price! Would not have been disappointed. Not going back.
I saw this restaurant on someones Instagram page and wanted to check it out. Im about to give birth in less than 3 weeks so trying to squeeze in as many restaurants as I can. My friend and I had reservations on a Wedesday night for 5:45pm. When you book you need to put in a deposit in case you dont show up of $25 pp on a credit card. We got seated promptly, the atmosphere is very modern and clean. The service here mustve improved greatly as it was impeccable. My water glass mustve been topped up at least 10 times due to the fact of the glass being short. Our waiter recommended at least 3 dishes each. They also gave us new plates in between courses and wiped off any crumbs from our table which was nice. We ordered the Hokkaido Scallop crudo Confit duck basteeya Shrimp toast Picanha steak Matcha cream puff And sticky toffee My favourite of the night would have to be the duck basteeya! I loved the crispy exterior and the flavourful filling. The shrimp toast had a good amount of shrimp paste in the middle and was delicious. Scallop crudo was flavourful and refreshing although I wish there were more Scallop for the price range. I was a little disappointed in the steak though. It felt a little dry for me and a little tough. The desserts made up for it though. I loved the mix of the matcha filling and concord grape jelly, the matcha wasnt bitter and didnt overtake the jelly, I do wish the puff was a little crispy or had some element of crunch to it. I loved their version of the sticky toffee dessert, the yogurt Chantilly really help cut the sweetness of the dessert and I loved the toasty flavour of the toasted rice which also gave a great crunch to the dessert. The table next to us got the duck and said it was delicious so Ill have to try that next time. Their Smashed potatoes and ricotta agnolotti also looked amazing and big portions too! Would I come back? Absolutely! Id love to try out the other dishes and my friend thoroughly enjoyed the food as well and she is a hard friend to please.
The clearest 5 stars!
Great food but disappointing wine list.
Amazing food and wine. Great venue with very friendly and attentive staff. Looking forward to going back.
My new go to spot! Been here 3 times and already looking forward to going back. Great food, wine, atmosphere and staff.
Delicious & incredible
An absolutely outstanding restaurant and experience. And the wine list is a gem.
I am thankful for good restaurants that serve good food and give good service. Basic, right? So when restaurants go above and beyond to excel at their craft, I always want to give them a shout out. Recently I visited Henrys Restaurant and Wine Bar. The space wasnt fancy. It had the casual-chic vibe. There were 2 rooms - the dining area, and the room next to it was the wine room. The service was impeccable. Our server was great with his recommendations, and he paid attention to the details, like topping up our water. Above all, he was a friendly person who enjoyed interacting with the diners. Dishes we ordered: Confit duck basteeya + spiced yogurt + herb - my friend and I agreed it brought a sense of cozy with each bite Shrimp toast + lemongrass aioli + hot mustard - my favourite...the shrimp filling was amazing Hokkaido Scallop crudo + coconut vinaigrette + crispy ginger - fresh and light. Coconut vinaigrette wasnt overpowering Picanha steak + blistered Ontario sweet peppers - the was a smokey spicy taste incorporated into the steak that made it intriguing Matcha cream puff + Concord grape jelly - love how the matcha wasnt so bitter Sticky toffee + koji caramel + toasted rice + yogurt chantilly - thank goodness it wasnt super sweet Cant wait to go back for more!!!
Really wonderful restaurant. The potatoes and pasta were next level. Also appreciated the squash butter. Our waiter was lovely and helped guide through gluten free options. Presentation for everything was gorgeous. We did get asked to leave a bit before our timed reservation so that was disappointing
Food was good Wine list is pretentious After spending $300 per couple we were told our time was up after exactly 2 hours and that we couldn t order dessert. We had not lingered, it took that long to serve the array of small dishes-several of which were unavailable. Good effort but not what I would call an enjoyable dining experience. I try many top restaurants every year, telling people our time together is up is not cool.
Portions here are embarrassingly small. If the food was good, then it d be another story. However, every dish was lacking flavour. Cute-ish aesthetic, but that s about it. Also, the menu did not reflect the prices charged on the bill. While only $1-2 extra on a couple dishes, it still leaves a bitter taste when those dishes were the ones you d think weren t priced fairly to begin with. Go back to the drawing board.
Came here for one of my birthday dinners in November with 3 other friends, celebrating two of our birthdays. We ordered: Beef Tartare Tart Blue Fin Tuna Tartare Confit Duck Basteeya Hokkaido Scallop Crudo Ricotta Agnolotti Skate Wing Dry Aged Duck Breast Sticky Toffee Banana Cream Puff Favs of the night were the bite size Tuna Tartare- the shisho leaf and the marinated Tuna flavours were amazing, Scallop Crudo with the coconut vinaigrette sauce and the cream puff was out of this world! We didnt find anything special about the confit Duck basteeya which was like a shredded duck spring roll- the pastry wasnt crunchy enough and the Duck confit wasnt as flavourful as we thought it would be. The duck breast was cooked perfectly but nothing special about it. We wanted to try the beef entree but they were sold out for the night already by 8pm! Cant wait to come back one day and try the rest of the menu
Came to Henrys to celebrate Thanksgiving with some girlfriends. The space itself is modern, clean, yet intimate. We started and ended with cocktails with a bottle of wine in between on Jacques rec and it did not disappoint. Food standouts were the beef tartare tart and shrimp toast. Highly recommend!
Portions were small. All the food was so oily that I felt nauseous by the end of the meal. Prices on menu were different than the prices charged on the bill. Found this place to be overrated.
Minimalist decor. Portions are either very small or massive. Our server didn t do a great job of explaining the menu or being attentive. Be careful of prices on menu being different than your bill. Many of the dishes came out very oily which overpowered the dish itself (shrimp toast, squash, potatoes) felt like there was something missing from all dishes flavour wise because of this. Save your money and skip on this place. Only reason I enjoyed was the company I was with. That itself was worth it.
