These tacos are the real deal. Suadero (brisket) are my favourite but theyre all excellent. The house made salsas are also . Highly recommend.

The food is very authentic and delicious the peanut sauce slaps finally some good Tacos in the Beaches.

Best Mexican food Ive ever had and super friendly staff.

We ate there after Aurora Concert. The tacos were so good. Freshly prepared, tasty and very filling. I only had 3 but was so full. The guy in charge and the staff were kind and very accomodating. Such a cute warm restaurant!

Best tacos Ive had in Toronto in a long time. Loves the bar of self-serve onion, cilantro, lime, and sauces of various spice levels. I chose the vegetarian options, and they were authentic and SO TASTY! The owner Louis is super hospitable and warm, and we had a lovely chat. Vegetarian options: Had 3 vegetarian options to choose from. The owner, Louis shared how important it is to him to offer exciting meat-free options and it shows!

I was excited to try Holi Taco, as the food smelled amazing and the flavors I did taste were quite good. Unfortunately, I couldn t finish my meal because of the lack of sanitary practices I observed. The staff used the same gloves to handle raw food, the POS system, and then cooked food without changing or sanitizing. To make matters worse, I saw someone wipe their nose with the same hand they were using to serve. It was really disheartening to see such disregard for basic hygiene standards, especially in the food industry. I wanted to love this place because the food had so much potential, but I couldn t get past what I saw. Cleanliness is non-negotiable when it comes to restaurants, and this experience left me too grossed out to enjoy the meal. I hope the management takes this feedback seriously and implements better hygiene practices it s the only way I d consider giving Holi Taco another try.

This is one of my all time favourite taco places in the city. Anytime I m in the area (primarily for a concert at History) I go there before and after for their tacos and delicious apps. The freshest guacamole and chips you ll ever have, and every taco I ve tried has been delicious. They have lots of salsa options you serve yourself, and the churros are a delicious and fresh treat to get afterwards. Hours are great, and the atmosphere is super fun. More importantly, every member of staff is so welcoming and friendly, and even on days when it s packed, they take the time to get to know you and explain their menu in full. Overall such a stellar local spot that everyone must try !!

This is the closest thing in Toronto Ive had to the amazing street tacos I had in South Central. Everything is GLUTEN FREE as well! (Obviously double check when youre there, but as a gluten intolerant, I feel more than safe eating here)

The best tacos in the city. Hacienda in the Annex used to be my go-to before they closed years ago, and I have not found a replacement- until now. Holi is arguably better as they are more authentic. Had the fish and mushroom. Immediately regretted not doubling my order, so good. Will return.

I was in LA last year, my only request with my party was some west coast street tacos . holi taco brought me back there. These are some of the most authentic tacos I ve ever experienced. My order got a little messed up with a mis communication so I got 2 extra tacos and no drinks, I m not even mad about it my wife went from I ll just get 1 because I m not hungry to thank god they got the order wrong. This was a true testament to keeping the ingredients simple and letting the meat do the talking. It s street tacos, so there s isn t really anywhere to sit and eat, but it s worth it.

Some of the best tacos I ve ever had in the city! I dropped by on a friend s recommendation before a show at History and it did not disappoint. We tried four different tacos, and each one was better than the last. The flavours were fresh and perfectly balanced, and the portions were just right. The owner and team were warm and welcoming, adding to the fun, relaxed atmosphere. Highly recommend getting the churros if you have room for dessert. Will absolutely be back.

So delicious and incredibly fresh. The menu is simple but offers lots of choice. Everything we tried was extremely tasty and I love the salsa/topping bar to get as much or as little as needed, and the salsas were also super delicious. Will be back next time I m in the area.

Probably the best tacos Ive ever eaten, and Ive eaten A LOT of tacos. The meats were super flavourful, the tortillas were fresh and the sauces/toppings were delicious. Not the most filling (3) tacos Ive ever had but probably the most tasty. Vegetarian options: There was a cactus taco (which we didnt try)...not sure about other options.

Spontaneously stopped by Holi Tacos; the place is unassuming and had some of the best tacos I ve had in the city! The tacos just melt in your mouth and flavours were there. The owner is one of the nicest people Ive met in ages. So genuine, super positive, and we chatted for probably half an hour. It was an absolute pleasure to learn about his new business. Tacos!!! Went at night for a quick dinner, Luis and his staff are super cool. Food was great, fast and delicious. Had to go back the next day for lunch, it was that good.

Fantastic little taco place, tried every taco on the menu and each was delicious. You can tell the owner has put alot of care into making this place, it is a true passion. There is a cute photo wall with people who have tried the place, adds to the charm. There is a toppings station, everything tastes so fresh and there are some delicious salsas to try, all made in house. Highly recommend, great spot out in the east end.

THE BEST TACOS IVE EVER HAD. It was so authentic and flavorful. Also the staffs are very friendly. They kindly explained me what are the ingredients for each of them and the results were amazing. Aslo you must try there CHRROUS!!! I forgot to take a picture cuz I was obsessed. It was so crunchy outside but soft inside at the same time. Authentic tacos, great service...feels like Mexico.

I stopped in for a visit on Thurs, Aug 22. The staff welcomed me as I entered. I was pretty hungry and ordered one of every taco on the menu. The tacos were authentic and decent size. There wasnt a single one that I wouldnt order again, though my favourite was the fish. Oh and try the salsa verde!!!!! Sooo good. Highly recommend, if youre looking for excellent, authentic tacos in the East end.

I recently visited Holi Tacos and decided to try their top three tacos based on the employees recommendations: Tacos Campechanos, Tacos al Pastor, and Tacos de Pescado, along with their homemade guacamole and crispy tortilla chips. The tacos were bursting with flavor! Each protein was perfectly marinated and cooked, making every bite a delightful experience. Our favorites were the Tacos de Pescado and Tacos al Pastor so good we could eat them over and over again. The Tacos Campechanos were also well-marinated and tasty, but they lacked that extra punch to make them truly standout. Plus, the single tortilla couldnt hold up under the weight of the toppings and fillings, becoming soggy and causing a bit of a mess. Double tortilla shells would definitely improve the experience. Overall, the food, service, and experience at Holi Tacos was great, earning a solid 4/5 from us. Definitely worth a visit if youre a taco lover!

Holi Taco is awesome. Luis, the owner, is so welcoming and kind. He knows his customers names and greets them with a smile and a hand shake. I ordered a trio of tacos: suadero, pastor and pescado. I enjoyed them with an array of self serve toppings. I also enjoyed their delicious churro... best Ive ever had. They also make agua de Jamaica and pepino (juices) in house... very tasty and refreshing. I highly recommend the food but the atmosphere is awesome as well. Ill be back for sure. Thank you.

These tacos are OUTTASITE! The el pastor (pork and pineapple) is just scrumptious, but so too are the vegetarian options (my favorite being the hibiscus and smoky cauliflower). The horchata, a cinnamon-rice drink, isnt too sweet and provides an ideal balance to the savory meal. Luis and his team take great care with presentation and the ingredients are top-notch. So glad this is in my neighborhood; I will be back regularly. I can 100% guarantee you will love your meal here. The tacos were great, ended up getting one of each and sharing it with my wife. Their hibiscus and Mint drinks are delicious. The mushroom taco was unexpectedly my favorite one. Usually not into mushrooms but it was so meaty and flavorful.

Chef Luis, bravo! Amazing taco joint with great service and hospitality, and super cool vibe. Very traditional and authentic tacos and salsas, and like shockingly fast service. Open kitchen service and direct communication with the cooks allows you see the meats being braised and tortillas being cooked off. Interactive salsa station that allows you to top your tacos with a range of flavours and heat levels. Then to top it off, they make their own churros and fresh juices in house, hibiscus is a must try!

Dangerously good

Food was great, love the condiments bar and love the options of salsa! Good portion of guacamole and chips. Small little eatery and good for take-out. Will be back again!

The guac was way over seasoned, my el pastor was dry and chewy and my wife said her tacos were bland. Some positives the tortilla chips were good and the salsa morita was very tasty. But for what we paid I don t think we ll be back for a second chance.

As a taco lover, Holi Taco is sitting at the very top of my list! The chef/owner is incredibly kind, and his background story of opening this place is truly humbling. The tortillas are made from scratch, and the protein meats are the perfect amount just true, authentic tacos. It s a must-try! Everything on the menu makes you want to order one of each. You know it s authentic when everything is made fresh, from the vegetables to the salsas. Holi Taco is an absolute gem!

This is the Second time i have these tacos as i was not happy the first time i did want to give them another try. But the second time was let down as well. Both times the tacos were dry. I had Suadero which was dry, the Campechano which was dry, Pastor was decent and the Pescado was ok but had too much toppings on it. i hate to write bad reviews being in the industry as well. The young guys making the food should be trained how to handle the food properlly especially right in front of guests. They didnt use gloves and their hands were all over the food. And then after touching the food were just wiped on their aprons not washing their hands.

This is the best taco this side of Mexico. Luis the owner is so nice and so is everyone there. Very welcoming and very sweet. The tortillas and everything is from scratch. It s amazing. When I found out there was an authentic made fresh daily Mexican taco place opening up I had to try it.. and i decided to FULLY try it by having everything they offer aside of the drinks and they did not disappoint. The beef brisket, the mushroom, the pork shoulder and the fish are my personal favourites with the home made guacamole and chips are filling and delicious . And omg the churros are so good. My kids are usually picky eaters all i got was thumbs up from even my pickiest. Everyone was friendly and we all felt both welcomed and appreciated. We will be stopping in frequently.

We dropped by Holi Taco as soon as we found out they were open. The owner and the staff are incredibly welcoming and will offer suggestions to accommodate people s palate. The setup is simple: you order your tacos at the counter (individually or as a set of 3) and can choose from suadero, carnitas, longaniza, pastor, campechano, fish, nopales, huitlacoche. The tacos are prepared on the spot, on house-made tortillas. Once you pick up your order, you garnish as needed with lime, onion, cilantro and any of their sauces my fave was the morita sauce. The flavours (we tasted 5 different tacos) were out of this world. And the textures, especially in the campechano, were outstanding. It s dangerous to have a such a great taquería right next door.

I tried 4 tacos- Al Pastor, chorizo, beef brisket and carnitas. I have to say the brisket and pork carnitas were my fav. Absolutely delicious! So happy they are here.

Hands down one of the best taco places in Toronto & on par with Mexico! Very generous servings of meat, especially considering the size of the wrap. Perfect proportions. Everything is corn-based except the churros so perfect for anyone gluten intolerant (not sure about cross contamination). I just wish the fish taco came with chipotle mayo instead of cabbage but that is very minor and a personal preference. We will definitely be regular customers!

Super cute small taco place in the beaches neighborhood. The fish taco is amazing! Fresh and flavorful. Guacamole is great too. Definitely try their spicy salsa that is in the self-serve area on the side.

Toppings: Self-serve, located on the side shelf by the door. Choices: onions, cilantro, limes, 2 salsas, chili paste. Seating: None. its a tiny space. Take out only. There is a bench in front of the shop for fair weather eating. Be patient; its busy & popular, but worth the wait. Website & Delivery: none; in person only. Ill be going back again! Vegetarian options: 3 vegan options: Cactus paddle (nopal), tacos, huitlacoche (corn ear fungus) & mushrooms, guacamole & home made corn chips. Incredible atmosphere, a very welcoming team. And the food was out of this world. If you get a chance to eat there. I highly recommend trying the brisket and pastor.

Saw them as I was driving by..had to stop! Burger Priests OG Beaches old spot. Tacos were dynamite - I think the suadero is top notch. Great find - Ill be back to try the tacos I missed the first round!

As authentic as Ive had in Toronto. Feels like youre eating at a proper taqueria in Mexico. Great little spot on Queen East thats definitely my new go to after every single gig at History. Incredibl friendly owner and staff too to boot. This place is a gem I dont think will stay hidden for very long.

Decided to check it out for Saturday lunch and was not disappointed at all! The man who seemed like the owner was friendly, helpful and generous! He gave out free samples of his hibiscus tacos and I was blown away. Never tried it before but definitely will be ordering that again! Carnitas were delicious and tender and the toppings are self-serve but SO FRESH. 10/10!

Amazing tacos. I found the ultimate taco place in Toronto east. Luis, the owner, is an amazing young guy with passion of creating delicious food. Every single item (including salsas, cilantro, and sides) is fresh and flavourful. I had a dinner before seeing this place. Stopped by to try two small tacos but ended up getting two more. I dont regret it, and actually still dreaming about the next visit. Maybe today. I had suadero, fish, al pastor, and hibiscus (which was the special for that day). OMG, I am dreaming about them right now.

My partner and I got tacos at lunch today and they were the best tacos I ve ever had. You can taste the quality ingredients, and the time they put into everything. The salsas were amazing, hot one was full of flavour! Everything but the churros are gluten free and they have a separate frier too. Definitely recommend and will go again. Some of the Best Taco s I ve had in a long while. Flavours are on point. Will go back 100%. Only thing that sucks is Toronto doesn t let business like this succeed. There is a popular concert venue across the street, but they re force to close early because of local complaints and by-laws. Make that make sense.
