I have never tasted such a worst Mysore masala Dosa in my entire life. Ordered Mysore Masala Dosa. Spoiled food..the Dosa, it's potato masala, sambar, the other two chutney's everything🤮🤮. It smells really really bad. Even after tasting it, I started feeling sick. I will never recommend this restaurant to anyone. Please don't waste your time and money. Stay away and stay healthy
Ordered and buy one get one on Uber. They made one dosa split it into two and cheated. I called them a minute after I got the delivery and the guy was so rude and blamed me. Can clearly see in the pic it's the same dosa torn in between to make 2. Do not buy from here they are cheats.
Ordered Bhaji Puri with Halwa and Chola Bhatura on Janmastami when my other order got cancelled. I was craving home cooked Bhaji Puri and Halwa and I wasn’t disappointed at all, loved the taste and quantity. The halwa was perfectly made, although I barely found aloo in Bhaji which was slightly disappointing. The chole bhatura was good too, quantity was sufficient considering the price. Can’t wait to order and try again! So I ordered the same food like last year today as I was like can’t go wrong with the food but instead of Gulab Jamun I received Rasgulla. No puri for aloo sabzi and puri combo and instead of Kachori’s I got samosa chat! How can you go so wrong with the order? Highly disappointed!
Disclaimer: we got takeout on our way home, which was about a 10 minute walk Aloo tikki The Tikki was a little dense, but likely because it was kind of cold by the time we got home. Flavour was really good with good size portion and was a little bit spicy which my husband loved. Would love to try it again fresh out of the kitchen. Veggie Pakora This may have been a little over-cooked as it was a bit hard to chew. Malai Kofta Roti Was not what we expected. It's almost like they forgot the kofta balls? Gravy tasted good though. Chola Bhatura The best of the four dishes and would order again. Spicy enough for me but my husband would have liked it spicier.
Not at all recommended. Food was not up to Mark. Ordered soup with garlic bread and the served us with regular Costco bread with butter. Bhalla papdi had no sause no flavour…honey chilli cauliflower kinda gravy honey chilly and the portions size was very small. Masala soda was nice.
Authentic Indian restaurant with the perfect menu - covers the best from South to North Indian styles and everything is so well priced and taste is on point. So excited to have found this spot. I had a great experience ordering saag paneer roti and sweet paan. Fair prices for the portion and quality. The saag tasted very authentic - they add good variety of greens for it. Sweet paan was also good. Ordered the kadai paneer dosa and was very happy with it. Good amount and chunks of paneer and ratio to the onion and sweet peppers. Sambar and chutneys were perfect. The coconut/white chutney was the best. Also tried the aloo tikki and it was really tasty but maybe packing the tikkis seperate will keep it fresh for longer! Had to eat it right away while it was fresh but it was delicious. Love the menu! Ordered thaali and the app has cut off the special instructions but you can just call to let them know what vegetables sides you want. Comes with four vegetable sides, roti, achar, yogurt, papad and sweet. SO GOOD 🤤
I would like to take time and give my honest feedback. I ordered Rajma Chawal, matar kulche and sambar idly, got samosa chat free with the food(as per the current offer) I was craving matar kulche, to my surprise I’m extremely disappointed. It looks like lentil to be honest, it’s watery and there is no taste except for it being spicy because of green chilli. Rajma tastes good but half of them aren’t boiled. I came across a kidney bean which wasn’t properly boiled. The only thing that I wouldn’t complain about is sambar idly. Perfect consistency and tasted well. My suggestion is I wouldn’t really rely on free curd or pickle if my food taste the way it should. I hope you review the way you make matar kulche because nobody would pay to eat matar that looks like lentil and is so watery! Updated tried the place 2 years later still no change in quality. I was looking for punjabi kadi. No its not punjabi kadi at all. The whole kadi dish had one pakoda. The taste wasn’t anything. There was no taste the portions are ok but. This is not punjabi kadi.
The place is very cosy and serves up a lot of vegetarian fare. Yes, the place is vegetarian, exciting and with very friendly staff. The food is good but not hot enough for my spice friendly palette. The recipes have been reinvented and thus for the people looking for some nostalgia of their favorite Street food, be ready for not meeting that goal. There flavors are good but it could be great. Again, the deviation from traditional Street recipes are seen in how the chaats are missing the topping of chopped red onions, the missing green chili side, de-spicing of the masala lemonade etc. I would rate this 3 star but I love the options on the menu and definitely see potential if they can tweak the recipes to add a bit of heat or at least give an option to add a bit of heat to the dishes. The upma could be less dry. Overall a good experience. Will try again and see if the recommendations are considered and edit the rating. Happy eating!!
they are relocating :(
Ordered thali and rajma chawal through uber eats. The meal was wholesome and they provided sufficient quantities. Loved the flavor and will look forward to visit again. Made my day with the amazing flavor
One of the best home made chole bhature we had in Toronto DT. Authentic home made Indian flavour. Recommended dishes
Very authentic Indian lunch today at the Indian Spice Room, with a sumptuous thali including a variety of vegetables, rotis , fragrant basmati rice, pickles and yogurt, concluding on a sweet note with gulab jamuns, our favourite Indian dessert. I specially enjoyed the hot masala tea and crispy samosas, so welcome in the winter! The owner was very attentive and caring to each of us, reminiscent of Indian hospitality at its best! A memorable part of my lunch was partaking of spicy Pavbhaji,Bombay s delicious fast food!
We ordered Idli, Vada and Uthapam from this place. It was surprising how awful everything was. How is this place even running? The chef doesnt know what Indian food is. Why would you use packed frozen veggies on the Uthapam? Cant cut fresh ones? And Idli made with cheap low quality packed batter? Ive never had worse Vada in my life. How can you screw up with deep fried food? Doesnt deserve even a 2 rating on Google.
Ordered from uber , half of my order was missing. And when i called to ask them instead of owning up and apologizing that Guy blamed the innocent driver of taking out food when it was properly sealed and it was clear that once packed i had to cut it open. They are so ignorant and are not ready to believe that they could be wrong. That guy specially is just not the one to be dealing with customers. Anyhow, i just had the food and it tastes really good. Just hoping that everything was provided then it would be a great meal after such a long week.
Tried the Mysore Masala Dosa. It was crisp, flavourful with the perfect amount of spice level!
delicious and the owner was very polite he served us well. Thank you for the delicious Indian dinner. We will definitely visit again.
One of the best place to sit, dine or Order Pickup. Owner is so friendly and welcoming . i would recommend this place for sure . Rates are very good and reasonable
Very friendly and good service with yummy yummy food, had a great experience Vegetarian options: Too many and delicious Parking: Good parking options Kid-friendliness: Lot of kids options Wheelchair accessibility: Great
Food was delicious and staff was very friendly
Rice was rubbery and clumpy as if it had been put in the fridge and rewarmed Pav bhaji came with dempsters hamburger buns
Horrible food quality. Pre-cooked frozen foods are heated and served. Cutlery and utensils are not clean either.
Bad food quality and the taste is not good at all. The prices mentioned on the menu are not what they actually deduct. There are better indian restaurants out there.
Called them twice to follow the instructions while making the food but still they did not followed and messed up with my order
Had ordered Kachori 1. Food not Fresh 2. Looks like Bad Oil Quality or the same product fried multiple times. 3. Suffering from Chest burn right now. 4. Very Bland Taste for the Curry and absolutely not fresh. Disappointed to the highest degree. Sorry, but these kind of restaurants should be banned! Its not about not getting the right taste, the food quality is horrible enough to make someone sick.
Superb Vegetarian options: Lovely veg food
Taste is good, Its really nice to get this original taste outside of India. Love to visit in person
Nice place for authentic Indian food Paradise for pure vegetarians as the place serves only vegetarian food Decently priced Must try chola bhatura
Vegetarian options: Yummy food
It was really really disappointing we order pani puri , two order for dosa , two order for noodles and one vegetable burger .Gol Gappa ( pani puri ) no taste at all it sucks .. the burger are u kidding bro cost so high just wastage of money U have to good with quality and quantity though . Dosa and noodles were fine not superb like that last tym .. I highly recommend to people don t Oder ever burger and gol gappa just frozen food .try to improve your food quality though we are paying to u
Half of it was stone cold. Do not recommend.
Lovely Indian veg food. A little bit from different parts of India.
I have ordered Thali and Puri Bhaji. The chole curry is not fresh and has a foul taste and bad smell. The puri is not good either disappointed.
Tried amritsari kulcha over here, its fab. Also, sometimes the quantity is enough for 2 as they serve huge four pieces of kulchas filled up with mashed potatoes and cheese. The spices are authentic. With all this a person can not resist coming back try out new things from their huge menu of 125 items.
Coming from Mississauga, this has to be one of the worst Indian restaurants Ive been too. Chai is not authentic. Tasted like hot water with milk. No flavour. Food wasnt fresh.
Amazing Paratha , loved the Tea and the samosas, love how the menu is created with the best combos u can find in toronto, The Owner is an amazing Host and I loved talking to him about good food all around GTA, I will definitely go back as there is a big Menu and I want to try so many dishes. , 5 stars for the authentic taste.
We had lunch at this restaurant today. While the staff is friendly and prices are reasonable - I agree with what many other reviewers have noted that the food is not fresh. 3 of the 4 dishes we ordered did not taste fresh. When we initially ordered some items the staff said several of those items were not available (including soup) - that should have been a sign that the food is freshly cooked. I also peeked inside a refrigerator that was near the cashier and saw several pre-cooked items like samosas, puffs and pakoras frozen. The daily special was of course samosa chat (buy 1 get 1 free). If I have to eat frozen food - I can just buy it in Walmart or Longos - it s also cheaper. Also the staff didn t ask us for spice levels - and we assumed they would be medium/ normal - but it was extremely spicy even for an indian. I will not be going back
Good quantity. Loved the Amritsar kulcha, and Dosa. The thali was sufficient for 2 people still yummy
Wow!
This place has so many vegan options. Im literally eating a vegan chicken roti rn
Good taste and price
Everything Ive had there is great. Vegan and gluten free options are available.
Worst experience ever for Indian restaurant in Canada. They are literally charging 30% to what they mention in their menu cards. The counter person was rude when I asked why are you charging extra. Food and service was good but this thing blew up my experience.
Excellent vegetarian and vegan food. Lots of delicious choices!
Ordered idli, vada, mysore masala dosa and butter paneer. Worst preparations ever. The idli was too hard, vada was rancid, sambar was just water, mysore masala dosa was full of garlic peels, and butter paneer was just some tomato paste not done properly. There was too much chili powder but too less salt in the food. It takes quite a bit of skill to mess up every single dish. I would suggest that the chef takes some cooking classes.
Food was not fresh at all , if you are visiting from India then please don t come , alo sabji was prepared very poorly , service very late and poor and they were very late , we cancel order and eat half heartily.
Great prices, great food.
Serves stale chutney. This has happened twice. Once on a takeway and last week on dine in. Please dont order masala dosa. Very late service. Food : 1/5
The counter person was so nice and kind Kid-friendliness: They were so kind when we asked to separate some masala fries for our kids Food : 5/5 |
I ordered from uber eats in Toronto. ordered chhole bhature , idli and Mysore masala dosa. I had to throw the whole food in to dustbin. First, i have not got chhole bhature, i got sambhar bhatura. food was smelling like 2-3 days old. I am not sure how this restaurant is running with very poor food.
This is the worst food experience.
Ordered via uber eats a few dosas. The rava dosa was drenched in oil and too thick to be called a rava dosa. Rest of the dosas were poorly made and the fillings (masala) felt like they had gone bad. The sambhar was still good comparatively - but overall would not recommend this place. Had to throw out my entire order except for sambhar when I tasted all the dishes.
I was excited to try this place out. I got vegetable pakoras and thought they were good UNTIL I FOUND FINGERNAILS IN MY FOOD. I m so disgusted I want to throw up.
It was a great experience in the restaurant. I liked the food so very much especially the masala dosa and bread pakoras.
Food very disappointing. Rasum didnt taste anything like that I have enjoyed in Indian homes in Canada or in restaurants in South India. Likewise the oopama. For both items masalas lacked the respective characteristic flavours which define those dishes. Even the bread pakora which I normally enjoy in Punjabi restaurants was lacking flavour, and seemed weighed down by too much batter. Also, the mens washroom was dirty.
Amazing Indian food no doubt about
Ordered delivery. Missing the dosa from the dosa order. Kadhi was water with a few spices.
Amazing food and prices based on the location. Loved most of the items and would definitely recommend. Is less spacious so its better to confirm for seating if planning to dine in.
Good food. Spicy. Not spectacular. Place was a little understaffed. Small, narrow space for dining in. Better to take out.
We tried the masala dosa and the Idly bowl. The dosa was okay but the potatoes were undercooked. The idly was terrible as if it was served 4 days after they were made, we just had one bite and it had a sour taste which made it impossible to eat. I wouldn t recommend this place to anyone.
My workplace has this restaurant in their order rotation. Every item in my order of Uthappam, Sambar and two types chutneys tasted stale and reeked of staleness. The sambar had tamarind bits and some random inedible seeds floating in it. There was no balance of spices whatsoever. Overall very unpleasant experience. Safe to say this is not authentic Indian taste.
So bad
If you are looking for amazing Indian food in Downtown, Indian Spic Room can be your go to. The food is great. You will experience the best dine in service. I will simply say it is
They serve the best Indian cuisine. They have most delicious vada pav in the town. The service was amazing. Vegetarian options: I m a vegetarian & my husband is vegan, they had a lot variety for us.
Ordered via Door dash It was really bad Dosa was just plain and sambar was just water and potatoes were under cooked and also got amritsari kulcha didnt get chickpeas yogurt and pickles as mentioned in the app .I threw most of the stuff . Wont recommend spending your hard earned money here.
Best food ever at your price love the restraint . Also from now I will come one daily basis Food : 5/5

Prices are different from the menu. And this isnt conveyed before hand. Vegetarian options: All food options are vegetarian Food : 4/5 |
This restaurant is a good reminder why never to try Indian food in North America. I am sorry to say but this has been absolutely the worst food Ive had till date. I ordered on uber eats a masala dosa and idli vada combo, but I was delivered 4 vadas and no idli. The food was completely stale (Assuming the batter wasnt fresh at all) The vadas were rock solid and can def be doubled up as bricks for self defence mechanism. The sambar was all liquid with nothing butinsane amount of chilli powder. I also got a thali free which was equally bad. The food tastes terrible. And its a no surprise that the same night I was experiencing stomach issues. Its a health scare! Never ordering / eating here.
Title: Ex I recently had the pleasure of dining at Indian Spice Room, and I must say, it was an exquisite culinary journey! The restaurant offers an extensive menu of authentically flavored Indian dishes that tantalize the taste buds and leave you craving for more. The standout feature for me was their Thali, which is undoubtedly the best Ive had in a long time. The variety and richness of flavors in every dish were exceptional. Whats even more impressive is that they offer this delightful culinary experience at an incredibly affordable rate, making it accessible to everyone without compromising on quality. I also want to commend the outstanding service provided by their server, Madhuri. She not only demonstrated professionalism but also exhibited genuine kindness and hospitality. Her warm demeanor added to the overall enjoyable atmosphere of the restaurant, making the dining experience memorable. Indian Spice Room truly excels in bringing the authentic taste of India to its patrons. If youre a fan of delicious and flavorful Indian cuisine served in a welcoming ambiance, this restaurant is a must-visit. I highly recommend Indian Spice Room for an unforgettable dining experience!
Visited this place for a short while the manager is extremely rude to his employees and yells at them in filth extremely bad management he even yelled at a pregnant lady working for him do not step into this place do not buy anything from them if you do you are supporting his behavior
Honestly disappointing, i ordered paneer tikka and roti and possibly the worst paneer tikka curry Ive ever had.
I have had delicious wonderful daal makhani, chola bhatura and chola roti, all were very good and can be made dairy-free upon request. I request roti on side for preference. One time I had a bad batch and they offered me a complimentary meal to replace the bad one.
Great
Brilliant Vegetarian options: Nice Food : 5/5 |
The dosa was very nice. I love it and try it ones
Good experience overall.
Fabulous Dishes
You wont believe, I was surprised when I visited here , specially Test .. O my God ,, just delicious . I had forgotten that I am in toronto ,it was like pure indian test. If you are indian must visit here , awesome......
Nice place.
Lovely place, for good food, and get together with friends and family, good for pictures also
Awesome food
The place is very cool and vibrant. Yes, the place is vegetarian, exciting and with very friendly staff. The food is good and authentic Indian flavour. There flavors are great. Again, I would rate this 5 star because I love the options on the menu and definitely love to visit again. Happy eating!! Enjoy......
We went in on Christmas, since it was COVID, we called and reserved a place for 2. The seating area was small, with 2 staff in the kitchen and 1 person manning the counter and the phone, for the guests during that time, there was another group of 3 and we were 2. The online orders and the delivery people were taking up all the space and time. We waited for 15 min for someone to clean our table, when for another 10 -15 min there was no sight of the order being taken, I had to approach the staff and let me know that we have been waiting and we are ready to order. We ordered thali, batura and gol guppa. The filling for the gol guppa was served cold, not even room temperature, but cold as out from the freezer, since the person manning the front desk was so busy accepting online order and getting deliveries ready for the ever flowing delivery people, I had to walk up to the kitchen to ask the staff to at least warm up the filing, the pani was served in an chipped cup. when I asked for a replacement I was told that the most of the cutlery was of the same quality. There was no green chutney served with the gol guppa. The veg thali was very mediocre, the rajma was passable, the paneer subzi was average, the alu sabzi was average, the chana was also very average, only saving grace was the roti- hot and soft. When the chana batura arrived, realized that the channa was common with the thali. Rasagulla was sweet with the thali, it was not difficult to go wrong with taking a piece from a tin and serving it with the thali. Another 15 min of waiting time and reminder that rice needs to be served as part of the thali. Between the 5 of us who were there, the serving time was more than 1 hour, considering that orders were only simple -dosa, idli, vegetable fried rice ,thali, gol guppa and chana bature. The group had to change their order because their choices were not able, this was conveyed to them after a while of their wait. The cleanliness and the set up of the whole seating area was a concern, the kitchen staff were working without hair nets. The constant stream of deliveries was taking up the time of the staff and they unable to serve the guests in the seating area. Maybe India Spice room should only accept online orders or hire more staff to serve the in person customers. They definitely need to focus on getting their cutlery in place, their old dough mixer and other unused utensils needs to move from the space near the washroom. Btw, the washrooms needs a make over as well. Although the staff was courteous and working hard, there so much they could do!. The owner of this place needs to visit the place and either consider revamping the decor to make it pleasant OR completely stop accepting guests and close the seating area. Both the food and the experience was very bad!! Please give this place a skip. Was very disappointed! not recommended.
If you want to choose between hunger or eating at this place? I would suggest you to starve. Super oily food, very bad taste and poor service.
Ordered food from here with such high expectations. They gave me Chat Papdi in literally a boiled yogurt, worst chat papdi I have ever eaten. There is a reason why they are giving away dal with minimum order on uber eats because dal is completely stale and smells like a week old. Not at all a good experience. I hate to put in bad reviews about the place but this is all being done so that they improve on their quality of food.
This is the first time I ordered from this place and it is by far the worst Indian food in GTA. Do not waste your money, I usually do not right review and I could stop myself after eating their disgusting food. No taste and flavour. I ordered four items and not even a single one was eatable. Dal was sour and kachori was hard as brick. I would suggest buy frozen food then eating from here.
Ordered 1st time today Undone noodles Undone chickpeas with bhature 45$ wasted Bread Pakara was ok.
Great food, authentic indian food tried their chole bhature it was the best
Amazing food here. I used to hate Indian food because I had my first experience at a bad restaurant but after my friend talked me into trying this place I swear by it.
Ordered Mysore Masala Dosa and Idli. I didnt like both of them and even sambar wasnt any good
Really tasty, great value, the owners are lovely people. I am so happy this place has survived the pandemic :-)
I don t believe it deserves even one star. One of the worst experiences I ve had. Some items were stale and some overcooked, overall no flavour and bland. This is not Indian food, this is a complete waste.
Very good dining experience, great options to choose from & delightful dishes. Great ambience & excellent service, will definitely return. Enjoyed chole bhature and masala dosa, followed with a mango lassi.Truly delightful and wish I discovered this place sooner!
If you are craving for authentic South-Indian food, I would highly recommend this place. Being a South-Indian food lover, I ordered Dosa, Upma and Sambar. I was not expecting much, as you are not in India, but to my surprise it was beyond my expectations. Everything freshly prepared, served with delicious chutney made my day. My daughter ordered Chana bhatura and it was also delicious. Overall happy with the presentation and most importantly- the taste of India. So happy to find a restaurant with true delicacy of India Don t know why some people are putting negative reviews. I think sustaining in this pandemic itself is a big task for every business. Everyone is trying best to keep their business alive. No one wants to make their customers feel dissatisfied and unhappy. Happy to have a nice place to have a family meal with Indian ambience. The owner is also so polite and hard working. Indian Spice Room - keep going, you are doing great job!
HORRIBLE IDLY, SAMBAR AND CHUTNEYS. NEVER ORDER FROM THIS RESTAURANT
Exceptional Service!!
As a pure vegetarian, this is One of my favourite indian restaurant in downtown, Toronto. Its very clean with an excellent customer service. I specially liked the saag ,its super yummy with an authentic Indian taste, which is very rare to find in toronto I strongly recommend it.
Very delicious food, Great Ambiance, Attentive Service
Great food and friendly service ..highly recommended ...
Food is so tasty and good.
I have ordered takeout a number of times at this restaurant. I have never been disappointed. The vegetable biryiani with raita is delicious and the aloo ghobi roti is super yummy! Looking forward to trying more items on the menu.
The food was amazing. Wonderful host such a treasure to find authentic delicious South Indian food in Toronto. A must visit place. Reminded me to home
Awesome place to get tasty Indian food. Kadahi Panner with roti is a must try.
Had ordered Kachori subzi, bread and paneer pakoras. Sabzi last two times was exceptional. That s why went today but sadly it turned out completely opposite. Paneer pakora flour coating was too hard and dry. News pakora was not bad flavour but too much stuffing and again coating too hard. Both pakoras had South Indian cooking touch. Not your typical Punjabi bread pakoras. Silver lining was when told to the restaurant they were super helpful to take sabzi back and give something Else. Not sure maybe chef changed but hope they do a self quality check and get back to original taste.
I recently ordered from this place. After eating the idli and medu vada I had bouts of vomiting all day and next day I had upset stomach. This place is a serious health hazard. Stale food. I have been unwell and have constant loose motions from the past 2 days. There are many good places out there. If you don t want to fall I ll please do not order from here. Disgusted with the quality !
Food was really worthless. So bad i had to through the whole thing away. And also really expensive. I made a mistake I hope you don t make one.
Great food this place is a hidden jem!. I ordered Ameristari Kulcha, it was filled to the brim with paneer, served with chickpea, yogurt and acchar.
One of the best fully vegetarian restaurants in the GTA. Such places are very hard to find. Food taste really good and customer service is excellent. Received our order very quick. Highly recommend trying this place if you re looking for fresh, great tasting Indian food.
Highly recommended! The food was fresh, unlike other restaurants that serve frozen food. Also, the Manager was sweet and welcoming.
Pao bhaji was good.. Had high expectations from chole bhature but they were quite disappointing. Chole were undercooked and bhature were okay.
Soggy fritters given after reheating. Couldnt even finish one. Told me to wait 6/8 minutes. They reheated old foods fave me. Never going back again.
Very kind staff and owner. Food is all vegetarian and reasonably priced. The menu could look cleaner it s hard to know what to order if you don t understand Indian food.
Ordered using Uber eats. The first order was cancelled and Uber accused the restaurant. On clarifying, it was found that the Uber rider was at fault. The person who took the hall from the restaurant was sweet. Nevertheless, placed a second order. Good: Rajma, Amritsari kulcha were great. The taste was well balanced. Okay: Raita (didn t taste like the Indian one) Above average: The pao bhaji. Could be better but I guess it was too cold? Avoidable: plain rice (came with the rajma, won t order it separately)- it was sticky. Wait time for delivery was over an hour but the food appeared fresh (not frozen) so worth it. Portion size was also adequate. Like all Indian restaurants, some dishes landed well, others didn t. But worth a try.
Visited this place for dine in on 18th of August 2022 for Dinner. Worst food and worst service!! Felt like they didn t want to serve us!! The bill was a bit more than 210 Dollars for 9 people (idk if you count it as expensive or reasonable). Didn t deserve even a single star for the service or food taste!
Ordered through the Uber eats a bogo deal of daal and rice bowl.. both servings of daal came bland,,, not even salt so I called the restaurant and someone answered the phone on second try and when I explained them what happened he just said I ll let the chef know and when I said I was at work and this was my lunch and it doesn t have any seasoning, on that he said just go on Uber help and I ll let chef know. A simple sorry is just courtesy, I wasn t calling for compensation, I know I will get my money back for messed up order but I still chose to give you a call and let you guys know or maybe you knew cause it was your mistake. But the guy Didn t care to say sorry or apologize. Your food is good but might wanna work on this service issue.
Very disappointed by the food .Idli and vada were too hard.Samdhar was sweet and chutneys were stale in taste.Chana was undercooked and tasteless .I am surprised this restaurant got a 4 star rating.Very bad experience.
This place is delicious! I wasn t sure what to order and the host made some fabulous recommendations. I would definitely go back if I am back in town
Absolutely delicious dosas at reasonable prices. Calorie aware mango lassi freshly made.
This place is GREAT! Not only is their food amazing, their service is exceptional. I love love love it here!!!
I just had one of the worst experience ever. First of all while deciding what to order heard the owner talk to one of his employees in a very rude tone. Later on, we tried their manchurian and they were so spicy. Then we asked them to make chowmein mild, and they didnt taste good at all. I would never recommend going there.
A small place with a huge menu. I tried the Dosa and was quite pleased with it. If you ask a South Asian, this food would not be considered hot at all. But for me, its just the right amount of hot. A mild dish is usually too hot for me. To a South Asian mild implies some degree of hotness (almost always too hot for the average Westerner). The appropriate request for a mild dish in a South Asian restaurant is no hot. - Dont be fooled by the comment that there is no flavor without the hot. The best thing about South Asian restaurants in Toronto is that they realize that most of their patrons are not South Asian and they tone down the hotness.
Seems like leftover food was delivered with no taste at all.
Excellent vegetarian food. Thanks
Great place & ambience. The food was excellent. One of the best Indian food I had in Toronto. The prices are also very reasonable and worth the food. Do try their South Indian dishes, they are amazing. The owner is very kind & friendly.
Small place but great taste. Not like other restaurant taste. Their food will remember your home taste. Served fresh. Ordered veg Thali, more than enough for 1 person.
Absolutely lovely. Owner is also super sweet. Highly recommend for a dosa fix close to downtown!
We were craving for Chole Bhature from so long and while searching through restaurants today, Indian Spice Room came up with a variety of Indian food options which we usually don t get in Toronto. Chole bhature by far the best in portion to eat and especially the bhature were not at all chewy and had a unique blend of taste. The owner is a very friendly and welcoming, we even had an amazing conversation with him. I must mention this to all the Indian foodies out here, this place is a must try as you will fall in love with it! Definitely my go to place for fulfilling all my Indian food cravings.
The food was amazing. Customer service was over the top.. we loved the ambience and the humble service
This place is a gem! Despite there being limited options for Indian food in the area, this restaurant goes above and beyond when it comes to the quality of their food and service. They have a wide assortment of North and South Indian snacks and meals on their menu, with emphasis on dosas and rotis. I would recommend any of their masala dosas and chole bhatura (which are massive!!!). The prices were great and portion sizes were huge! I also want to mention that their service was amazing; the staff were very friendly and the food came out quickly. I will definitely be visiting again.
I ordered some food from this this on Uber eats and it was fantastic! Called the restaurant for some special requests and they made sure they delivered! The amritsari kulcha, chole batura, butter paneer and even the burger and onion rings were delicious. We even got some desert and an extra dish on the house! Will order from Indian spice room again for sure! Being from bombay I m truly impressed! Thankyou for a wonderful meal! The owners are lovely and had a wonderful experience!
Have heard enough about their malpua and rabri..and its a must try.you wont find this Indian taste anywhere.
This is a great place for good food. I had tried almost everything on the menu till now and everything was so tasteful. Also they are very accommodating with every request you make. Great meal with good quantities at fair price!!
This was my first today at the restaurant & to be honest it took me by surprise as i did not expect such delicious home made food with great service & portion which made me more than satisfied.Saag panner roti was awesome & one of the best i have tried in downtown.Hope to visit you soon.
I had ordered take out and had a lot of expectations based on what the initial reviews reading felt like. I had ordered Chola Bathura and Bhaji Puri Halwa. I would say that I didn t have a great experience at all. The food tasted bad as if it was a rushed up preparation. It tasted like just sauces mixed and tossed in chick peas and served. I wouldn t try it again.
Ordered chhole bhature and aloo puri via Uber eats and bhature, puri and aloo sabji was super oily and nauseating. It s like the oil hadn t been changed for a long time and everything tasted stale. Chhole didn t taste oily but lacked flavour and didn t have any spice/kick. Disappointing.
I got idli from doordash, and they were not steamed properly.
Ontario
There food is authentic and really tasty. We loved the khasta kachori, parathas are just delicious like home. Must visit :)
The Indian foods here very authentic and home-like. We ordered aloo bhaji, panner paratha, Sambhar Vada, and many other things and all were really good. The price owner and staff are very friendly and welcoming.
The food is usually very tasty. Not recommended if punctuality is important. We order here almost every week via Ritual and they are consistently 10 - 20 minutes late. We raised this with the staff who advised us to call to confirm timing when Ritual notifies us that the order is ready. We did that today. Ritual indicated the order would be ready at 12:14. We called them at 12:14 and was advised that the order will be ready in 10 minutes. We showed up at 12:25 and was told the order would be ready in 2 minutes. That 2 minutes became 15 minutes.
The very best Indian food I have ever had.. and I lived near little India... so crazy good, fresh and after all that a super great prices too
