Food tast good, but when I spent $30 for 3 small pieces of tacos and left still hungry thats doesnt feel good at all. And it was poorly served with only a quarter slice of lime!!!! I spent $30 are you joking!! Food

Had a great experience at Inmigrante. The host was amazing. Food was also amazing. Got a three course lunch. Everything was great. Would absolutely recommend and go again.

Got a hell of a lot of sandwiches for a lot of money. The server was attentive in every way except recommendations from the menu. I had no idea that we were ordering 3 or 4 variations on a sandwich theme. Who know? Maybe they have good food but Ill never know because the server encouraged us to keep ordering sandwiches and I doubt Ill go back.

Inmigrante in The Beaches, Toronto, is a hidden gem that captures authentic Latin flavors with a modern twist. The cocktail menu is a standout, but the real star of the show is the Tres Leches dessert it s simply perfection. A must-have!

Had an amazing quick lunch on a Friday! Parking is a bit of a nightmare, but we figured it out. Its a lovely little resto with a nice vibe. We shared the beef Birria ($17) which was fantastic; full of flavour and amazing textures. We also had the chicken tinga tacos, which were okay but probably wouldnt get them again. Will definitely go back and try other dishes with cocktails!

I wanted to love the food here but we did not. Our friends go here regularly and seem to really enjoy the food so our one time experience may not exactly be the regular experience. The guacamole and chips were amazing, the empanadas were okay but the tocas fell far short. The kids options were very limited and ours didn t like hers at all. The atmosphere was nice with open front windows and low music.

So happy my friend and I stumbled on this place, when we were looking for a good bite. We were torn between options as the menu looked amazing. In the end, went with the Chilaquiles and the assortment of tacos. It did not disappoint. the service by waiter utul was amazing. Generous portions, average price for toronto. Would easily return! We had the most delicious brunch while seated on Inmagrante s terrace. I had the avocado toast with a fried egg and a side order of crispy bacon, and my OH had the Huevos Benedictinos. Everything was hot and delicious. The Bloody Cesar and coffee were also superb, and service was friendly and fast.

We recently hosted a private party on the back patio at Inmigrante and the evening from start to finish was 10/10. The staff were amazing and friendly. The food was delicious as always, they even did a special cake for the celebration which was absolute heaven!! Everyone in our group had an amazing time and the management team was so accommodating. Thank you!!

True authentic Latin cuisine. Service is super friendly. Come after 4pm as that is when they begin serving the full menu. Prior they offer happy hour.

Really neat spot, especially in the summer with the patios! They have a great menu with a lot of yummy options. Unfortunately one of my arepas came out soggy, but others at the table had fairly good meal. The biggest disappointment for us was the service. We picked this spot because of the awesome reviews and unfortunately we werent given the same level of service. Our food took close to 40 minutes to arrive. Not once did a server come in to check on us. We finished our bottled water and had to wave someone down a few times before getting it refilled as we were waiting for our food. We finally inquired about when our food would arrive, and the waitress responded in a rude tone saying that it would come out when it was done...we were shocked. I normally dont come on here to write negative reviews, but it was pretty upsetting to read about the good service when our experience was anything but.

Me and my wife really enjoyed this spot. We did brunch and walked around the beeches area and went back for more drinks and food. We highly recommend it!

Finally a Latin-American restaurant with food that tastes like home!!! Rich!!! Today I went for the first time and what a pleasure to try well-prepared Latin food (finally!)!!! I highly recommend it to the entire Latin community!!! I tried the Neapolitan Milanese, the quesa-birrias, the tres leches and a digestive shot like aniseed. Everything excellent, approved by a Peruvian! Ill be back for the ceviche and lomo saltado! And the prices, fair, as they should be. This is how its nice to eat!!!! Special thanks to Antonio for his warm treatment, and to the DJ for the music, I sincerely felt at home .

Wow! Was this ever a great delight and pleasure! The staff was perfectly inviting, attentive, insightful, and courteous! Our meals were wonderfully satisfying, too! We ordered the guacamole and chips to start, and enjoyed them so much, we ordered a second with extra chips! For our meal, we only needed to order two orders of tacos, which were more than enough to fill us! The portions are surprisingly generous, and the flavours and aromas were fantastic! No need to go downtown when we have this place so close by!

Good tasting food but too homemade. Nothing really elaborate for the price they charge. 22$ for 3 beef tacos. The churros were soft and crispy but served with coffee syrup instead of a good dulce de leche sauce. Overall ok but not willing to come back and try the other dishes. Home food i can make at home.

Weve taken friends to eat here several times. The food and service has always been excellent. Weve had most of the dishes on the menu. They are all different than traditional international foods you might expect, but I would argue better! The restaurant has a very good vibe and the servers recommendations have always been spot on. Ill most likely be back.

Good place to eat Latino food. You have some dishes from Argentina, Peru, Venezuela and Mexico. The place is cozy and the prices are fair (around $25 per plate). There are staff who can speak Spanish which for me was very pleasant. Finally, this is NOT A TIKTOK OVERCROWDED place. You can have your couple and family day here.

Food was good, cocktails were excellent and overall a very positive experience. However the price point isn t justified. Many items on the menu are considered street food in LATAM (empanadas, arepas etc). I d happily pay more for these things for an elevated version but they weren t really my empanadas had so little meat that when cut in half once half was just dough. Really enjoyed the tres leches cake.

randomly stumbled upon this place while we were in the neighbourhood. the place was really cute and cozy with really nice vibes. I m sure in the evening it would be really pretty! we came in for a quick snack and tried the empanadas (beef was way better than cheese) and had some drinks which were delicious! (Margarita was yum!)

I highly recommend you come to Inmigrante. I came for mothers day and my family was beyond happy with our experience. Everything from start to finish was perfect. Sergio was very attentive and accommodated our last minute reservation for a large party. Our server Paco was warm and treated my mother the way everyone would like their mom to be treated. He really made her day a special day. The food was delicious and carried amazing authentic Latin American flavor. Thank you Inmigrante for a great experience.

Latin clientele has strong opinions about how Latin food should taste and how restaurants tend to overprice basic dishes without being as good as at home. The truth is we usually can t be tamed because we are very attached to our food and its components. That being said Inmigrante was a lovely surprise This restaurant is a great example of what is meant to happen when honoring Latin traditional food: good quality and portions, great service and respect for the original flavors without any false pretentiousness. We went for brunch at the patio. For a group of 4, we had Quesabirria, Chilaquiles, Eggs Benedict and a Cachapa all for sharing. Everything was amazing but the first two had our hearts. At the end, we went for Tres Leches de Mamá: delicious dessert. Just try it and judge by yourself but you will remember this review. This cake has a sweet and spongy texture that will amaze your mind. Last but not least, Rafael -the owner- was very much attentive to us and Paco offered an amazing and kind service. Hope this message of appreciation reaches the kitchen team as well. We will come back for dinner, cocktails and more! Highly recommend to enjoy a beautiful time at The beaches.

English muffin is a little more charred than Id prefer, but you dont really taste any bitterness, and is also really crispy on the outside, but soggy on the inside. Topped with bacon thats basic, provides a salty umami to the overall bland eggs thats poached nicely, gooey yolk. The hollandaise sauce is really thick, not very fragrant and there wasnt a lot of it. Tater tots were interesting addition, stayed crispy in takeout, and the interior is tender, comes with a spicy mayo sauce to dip. The salad was a spring mix and raw onions with a somewhat sweet vinaigrette, but all the raw onions were at the bottom and not mixed well.

Was stoked to try the birria tacos here but I thought they were really bland. Tostones were dry even with all the toppings.

Great atmosphere and pleasant experience. The sopes felt more much like a deconstructed arepa rather than a genuine sope as it was missing key flavouring. The hibiscus drink was tasty but led to bathroom issues.

What a lovely, quaint spot. Delicious food. Yummy cocktails and solid, unpretentious service. Highly recommend and would go again. A tad drafty when patrons linger as they open and close the door to the restaurant. But, the staff provided heaters when asked to offset any discomfort. But, that did not impact the overall joy of this delightful spot.

Had dinner here with an old buddy of mine. We both love tasting new and unique dishes. Most of the dishes are sharable, which is convenient for us. The server was super friendly and professional. Noticed our table kept wobbling and fixed it right away! Great service . The chorizo dish was amazing! The dessert killed it, one of the best Tres leches cake...perfect! Highly recommended trying this spot.

Came here on two occasions, once for drinks and once for dinner, and its always packed! Highly recommend getting reservations on weekend nights as we saw many walk-ins turned away Saturday night. Try to get seats inside especially during winter as the heated covered patio can still get super cold because the sliding door is not fully sealed...so windy nights mean a ton of cold air. Overall, everything was pretty good and would definitely recommend it for those seeking good Mexican food in the area and some decent cocktails to pair. Be prepared to spend a bit depending on your hunger & thirst levels. We started with guacamole & chips, it was nothing special and they charge extra for more chips. Also ordered the Aguachile, which is sort of a fish and shrimp ceviche served with crispy tortillas. Easily my favourite dish of the night it had some heat to it, but wont set you aflame. Really good flavours. For mains, we ordered a few mushroom tacos, beef arepas, and chicken & chorizo sopes to share. Of the 3, I enjoyed the beef arepas the most as they were sort of like a cornbread pocket stuffed with meat. I felt like overall the stuffing across the board seemed to be missing something, perhaps it was cilantro herbiness and something to make the flavours pop. The cocktails were pretty good. The smoked Cuba Libra seemed a little overrated and overpriced... Pretty much a rum & coke with smoke added for close to $20. The margaritas are definitely one of their signature drinks and would recommend the tamarind margarita. The rosemary g&t was also quite good. Service was good, and because of how small the restaurant is, it definitely gets noisy when filled. Overall, good experience!

When I left Immigrante I was amped to write a review because it was just such a great experience and everyone needs to know how good this place is!! The bunch of immigrants at the back patio sign grabbed our attention from across the street, which then led us over to a cozy restaurant nice and busy with a perfect table in the window available for us right away. We had the Ceviche, empanadas, and chorizo sopes, not a single complaint about anything and STILL talking about the Ceviche days later. Also had the best dang spicy margarita and then was so curious about the smoked beer I had to try that too and was very charmed by the Smokey reveal at the table. All the staff was super friendly and helpful as well, I can t wait to go back!!

I have been to Inmigrante a few times and it is just a fantastic place. The food is so flavourful and delicious and the margaritas to die for. I love the patio, and the fact that it is open all winter. The staff is so friendly and nice and Karina is lovely and very accomodating. I will be back as much as possible. Cynthia

We ended up here on Taco Tuesday - tacos were fantastic. We had the beef, pork and chicken tacos. Chicken was my favourite for spice and flavour. The alfajores for dessert was perfect to share. I look forward to going back to sample other things on the menu - the empanadas and ceviche caught my eye for my next visit.

I don t usually leave reviews, but had no choice because this place is fantastic. Every dish was packed with flavour and perfectly balanced. Paolo, our server, was a joy - all smiles and laughs. And the atmosphere was great, from the design to the music. I ll definitely be coming back.

Good (if not a bit mild), simple, unpretentious Latin food in a small space. But theres bigger portions in this city for much less. 5 yuca fries for $12 is over $2 a fry (plus tax, tip). Thats pretty wild... Guacamole and the tortilla soup are highlights.

Inmigrante did not disappoint. The food was fresh and delicious...margarita was sublime. everything we ordered was amazing! highly recommend. we will be back.

An hour later food still did not arrive

Had a wonderful late lunch here on a Friday. We arrived around 5:30 and there was plenty of seats available on the patio and a handful indoors too. We had the lomo saltado and yuca fries. The food was authentic and delicious, though it would be cool to see some dishes from Spain (patatas bravas; tortilla de patatas; pan con tomate). Our server was Paco and he was fantastic. Can t wait to return and try the rest of the menu!

We happened to come across the restaurant. The owner stated they opened last August. The food is very authentic like my Venezuelan Aunt would cook. So much to try. I loved their tortilla soup. The service is so friendly. I recommend reservations as it can fill up for dinner time. They do have a patio in the back but it was too cold to sit outside. Next time we will try their drinks. We couldnt stay long, had to go to church that evening. They do have happy hour too. Vegetarian options: You can order cheese instead of chicken for some dishes. Kid-friendliness: There were kids who came in with their family and they had a highchair for the little ones.

The food is very traditional, with some authentic and creative ingredients, well seasoned and beautifully presented. However the portions could be 10 or 20% bigger for the price charged.

Really great place for brunch! I highly recommend eating outside on the patio. It s covered and has a heater, so you ll never get rained on or feel cold. The drinks were definitely the highlight! I got the horchata, but their mimosa was also really good. The food portions were great and the food was very flavourful.

Have had dinner and brunch at Inmigrante, and thoroughly enjoyed both times we went. Love the vibrant, lively atmosphere . . . cant wait to try the patio in the warmer weather! Both times, the cocktails were excellent, the food delicious and the service outstanding. Took our daughter the second time, and she loved it as well! A truly hidden Beach gem . . . although it might not be hidden for very much longer as they have been chosen as one of the top 20 new restaurants by Toronto Life. Don t make the mistake of giving the server control of the food selection as this was very inadequate. Good vibe / nice drink options / Aguaxhile (Ceviche) & guacamole & some tacos stood out as bests. . Pretty expensive for some of the more smallish plates as others have noted. It adds up furiously so expect that. Decent quality and good freshness. We asked the pleasant server to help us order to cover the table decently for dinner portions for all of us, . A mistake ,as it seemed like we each barely got a few bites of this and that, awkwardly sharing out some tiny tacos and things. They could have easily just doubled some orders they brought to make the whole dining experience feel less petty and uncomfortably scarce of food. (I suppose some cases this would be embarrassingly expensive for them to do, but regardless, it s their job to create the complete experience, not just let diners struggle.) This made the gathering somewhat annoying rather than just relaxed and pleasurable. I don t think the server really saw to our needs as it fell far short and we ordered more. It felt ridiculous because they seemed clueless (or shameless?) how little food actually arrived based on their own recommendations, like half or less of the basic amount we were reasonably expecting. The situation looked silly. Again prices don t reflect this. Feels a bit contrived and a bar-like tactic, kind of teasing rather than feeding people and racking up a big bill, whether or not so intended. It makes a substandard impression which takes away from the positives. Not really attentive to place settings and water for our outdoor table, kind of ignored the diners present from beginning to end and we had to ask for things. They might also do well with more proper outdoor furniture . Nice outdoor space and decor feels really cool. They have a good kitchen and I hope Inmigrante do well as a Beach resto-taberna and they iron out the kinks. Just my thoughts if it helps. I d like to update and give it more stars.

The food is amazing and good value for money. Gets very busy on weekends I guess, we had to wait ages to be served, but I empathise with the waiters, they were super busy. Their smoked beer is lovely and comes in a container with actual smoke, I guess the base is just a rauchbier. Also best to order more than 1 dish per person, as some of the portions wont be enough for everyone. I noticed most patrons were ordering cocktails, so tempted to say theyre probably really good. All in all, a definite re-visit, but Id say avoid Saturday evenings if youre super hungry and dont want to wait a long time to be served

Wow, wow, WOW! My first visit and was blown away by the Classic Margarita lovingly made by Rafael. It was absolutely perfect in taste and texture! Then followed by delicious Guac & Chips, Peruvian Ceviche and Choripan Bun. Fresh and tasty! We rounded out our night with a Maracuya and ES-pera crafted by the talented bartender, Ivana. Great staff, great location and a wonderful meeting place that brings the best in Latin Food and Drinks home to The Beach. Thank you Inmigrante for a lovely and memorable evening!

Highly recommend! We came around lunch on a Sunday afternoon, it wasn t super busy which was nice. We were immediately seated on the back patio and our dog was very welcomed! The staff here were all super friendly and we were so impressed they treated our dog like a human. The drinks were amazing! And the food was delicious. The back patio is super cute! The cocktails were delicious, food was also quite good. Their ceviche was delicious. The birria taco was a little underwhelming but their tres leches was excellent.

We went at 3pm, and the menu was 3 items. We are very adventurous so we just said one of each, and it was 3 variations of deep fried items, all with the same sauce. Additionally, there were 5-6 staff for a small restaurant, yet we couldn t get more water and had to ask 3 seperate people for the bill. I live right next door and was excited to finally try it. Not AWFUL, but I certainly won t be back.

Going 3.5 here. We went for brunch and had a selection of things on the menu. We were excited for a Spanish-style brunch and although the food was good, it didnt dazzle. I think the allure and popularity of brunch allows for them to play up the menu and slap some extra $$ on items. We had the Empanadas and the Chilaquiles. For the price, I wasnt entirely impressed. There are only two empanadas in the order and the Chilaquiles are glorified nachos with shaved chicken and an egg. Empanadas were tasty. The drinks were fun and there was a bit of variety on the menu, but again I thought they were way too expensive. Atmosphere was awesome, especially the alley on the side that leads to the back patio, but the building itself is very old (you can sense this when you use the bathrooms downstairs). Very insta-grammable for those interested. Service was good, but nothing out of the ordinary. Id give INMIGRANTE another shot if Im in the area, but would be inclined to try something else.

I don t typically leave reviews but this food was really underwhelming and overpriced. Recently moved from Denver where there is a lot of Latin American food. These tacos had no flavor and the server didn t offer any kinds of salsas or hot sauces or come back to check. It was just a tortilla with dry chicken. Honestly reminded me of cat food. The arepas also didn t have flavor and the corn tortillas didn t seem homemade. I was shocked to see them having a 4.8 rating based on this food. The birria taco also didn t come with any sauce.

Blandest Latin food I ve ever had. Overpriced , tiny portions, tasteless ingredients. Potatoes were literally 4 pieces of one potato for $17. Arepas had nothing in them. Lettuce is the main filler for all the wraps-hello money grab. If you want to feed your rabbit bring them here. Although it is a trendy place it s is superficial food that has zero substance. Only the drinks were good.

we went for the first time during the pandemic and really enjoyed the food and service. We went again last week and what a disappointment. We order 2 dishes and specified one was for each of us not for sharing. my husband dish arrived 20 min after mine, I ended up eating alone and his fried rice was watery. the glass of wine 5-6oz at 16$ is also a little crazy. this is usually the price for a 9oz glass. my tacos shell was all wet and I ended up asking for extra ones to remake the tacos .

Friendly staff and really good food. There s a mix of dishes from various Latin American countries. Empanadas were tasty (chicken > beef), but no olive in it. The cachapa was really interesting and had a little zest to it. Both items were deep fried, so a little heavy, but it can fill you up. Only thing was the price, a little pricier than I expected, enough to knock off 1 star. I m still going to swing by if I m in the area, but id try to find a more reasonable place for the future

The beaches needs more places with authentic culture. Love the food, staff and atmosphere. I will continue to come back and support to make sure this gem is around for a long time to come!

Excellent experience! Its laidback enough that I felt comfortable bringing my 4 YO but the food is still elevated and a real treat! Tostones might be my favourite (after the spicy margarita). Also loved the ceviche. We were worried about options for my child. We ordered arepas and the yuca fries and both were a hit! She doesnt love meat but kept asking for more pulled chicken and beef (NOT spicy). Of course we ended with fresh, crispy but soft churros. SO GOOD!

Great service, courteous and friendly. Terrible huevos divorciados. The eggs came submerged in a strange sauce that annulled any other flavour. Coffe was also mediocre, interestingly it change colour from black to mid brown. Good quality needs a huge improvement in this joint.

This was a very good dining experience. The food was very fresh and delicious. The flavours were unique and the portions were great sized. The service is very polite and friendly with the staff coming regularly to check if all was in order. A unique experience and option in The Beaches neighbourhood.

All the reviews were talking about this place. I was beyond excited to go. We ordered the guacamole and chips. This was by far our favourite. Then my husband ordered chicken tacos. The tacos were just chicken on a soft corn shell. No toppings. To us it felt like the tacos were missing something. I ordered the arepas. I got one of each. These were pretty delicious. Loved the arepas but the stuffing was way too much. The drinks we had were good. The churros for dessert we re good. Overall good not great and I probably wouldn t choose to come back here again.

I was really excited to try this place but the excitement went downhill quickly. The beer was served to us in glassware that was oily. It slipped out two peoples hands right on the floor. We apologized for spilling it but noted the glassware was slippery. Waiter said no problem, brought us two more to later find we were charged for it. Then the food comes. Kids size portion, filled with salt, and a $250 bill. Not going back.

Went for brunch and it was pretty good but quite pricey. I got a fresh squeezed orange juice for $7 and I m 99% sure it was from a carton which wasn t a great way to start. However, the tequenos were very tasty. I got a vegetarian arepa which was good but was quite small with literally just cheese and avocado (no sauce or veg) for $16 which was a little steep.

THE VIBE If you enjoy intimate settings with a touch of a tropical feel, youll dig this restaurant. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted by the warm and friendly staff. We had a quick look at the menu and decided to stay and give the food a try - so glad we did! As I sipped on my sangria while listening to Reggeatone, Id forgotten for a moment that it was actually the first day of fall. A feeling I know many Torontonians will appreciate in the winter months. The very friendly manager Antonio showed me the patio, and I was blown away. What a cute little tropical oasis theyve got back there. I wished wed gotten there after 5 pm. when the patio opened to have a seat back there. This private patio is complete with its own bar, seating for around 30 ish - Im guessing - and heaters so patrons can dine outside when its cold. I could see people wanting to rent this gorgeous patio out for an event. THE FOOD Dont let the smallish size of this place fool you. The food is BIG on flavor! We had two amazing appetizers - Chicken Empanadas with pico de gallo (salsa) and Yuca Frita (cassava fries) with their delicious savory dip and loved every bite. Almost everything on the menu looked appealing. So much so that well be going back soon again for dinner. THE SERVICE The staff here were all warm and friendly, they answered all our questions about the food, were extremely polite and had just such amazing energy. FINAL THOUGHTS When it comes to Latin food, theres really not another place along the Queen East strip that I can think of that compares to Inmigrante, especially not anywhere that does tapas/appetizers and entrées like this. If you enjoy Latin food that offers a bit of Mexican, Venezuelan, and other Latin countries thats just bursting with flavors and want a little tropical micro vacation while dining and sipping on a cocktail, I very highly recommend you try Inmigrante...youll be glad you did. Vegetarian options: The Yuca Frita ( cassava croquettes ) were amazing with the dip. Theyre similar to thick cut fries.

Quick service, shared plates, food arrived as soon as the dishes were ready in no time at all. Coming back to try other dishes for sure Update: went back to discover a back patio, new dishes, new drinks. Loved it all. Mezcal mule and tres leches hit the sweet spot after. Do try it!

I ve now been here twice, once for dinner and once for brunch. Both meals were delicious, fairly priced and featured friendly and hospitable service. The drinks are absolutely fabulous (and great variety!), the food is fresh & tasty. Love all shareables! Small family run spot that is a perfect addition to the neighborhood (nothing else like it out here in the Beach!). Will definitely be back soon :)

Delicious food and very well prepared. We ordered everything to share, and we were not disappointed in what we ordered. Ceviche peruano, pescado frito, sopes, empanadas, and tres leches cake were our choices, and we enjoyed every dish until there was no more left. The atmosphere was nice, but sometimes it was very loud and it was hard to hear each other. I recommend this place to anyone who wants to try Latin American food as it is very similar to the original dishes. Friendly staff, mostly Spanish and English speaking.

This is a great little restaurant offering Latin American food. The ceviche is so good, lots of flavour in every dish. The cocktails are delicious and I love the back patio in the summer. Service is great too, everyone is very kind!

This is such a special place. The back patio is open all year round (heated and enclosed). You can feel like you are in Latin America sitting back there. They play great music, friendly service, delicious food, and the best margaritas.

I have never been to a place where there was better service than here. Tony and Paulo made our group feel right at home! The food and drinks were absolutely delicious!! We sat in the beautiful, heated back patio, which was a major plus!

Had the pleasure of trying Inmigrante for the first time last night. I was blown away by the fantastic drinks, delicious food, and amazing staff. Everything was so fresh and the guacamole was one of the best I have ever had. 11/10 would recommend to a friend!
