IRENE in Toronto

We had our wedding at IRENE! If youre looking for an alternative to the big boring conference centres and banquet halls, it really is an excellent wedding venue option. We were seeking something different and less traditional to push more of a fun, social party vibe for our big day while still keeping it classy and this turned out to be the perfect spot. #1 The location is awesome. The restaurant is right on the water and has beautiful views of the island, but far enough from Harbourfront that it is a little quieter and not as busy as you would expect. Its close enough to union station that transit is an option for guests and there is plenty of green P parking. #2 The space itself doesnt need much decorative work if youre aiming for a more relaxed atmosphere than some of the more formal venues. We simply added a few florals/centerpieces around the indoor space to push a bit of our colour scheme but the space was great as-is. Tasteful, classy, vibrant, lots of greenery and the patio on the water is a BIG selling point. #3 The Food is delicious! We did a 3 food station setup at our wedding and everyone LOVED it. Poke bowls/fried chicken lettuce wraps/roast beef were a big hit and the staff was great in accommodating our guests with special dietary needs. The head chef came out to meet us at the canape tasting and worked with us to do some custom late night breakfast sandwiches which really hit the spot as well. IRENEs staff also helped us serve some custom cocktail creations as well as a few of their own signature options and guests were raving about the drinks all night. #4 - The staff! Shastine their events coordinator was amazing and helped us work out all the details of our big day. She is great at what she does and will make your planning process that much easier. IRENEs bar staff was so speedy making our cocktails from scratch we never saw anyone wait longer than a minute or two. Kitchen/serving staff had all of our food out on schedule and they were all so friendly to us and our guests. Overall, 11/10! Many guests went out of their way to tell us it was the best wedding they had ever been to and it was mainly thanks to IRENE.

Unfortunately the recent service is not worth the money. A lot of restaurants to choose from in the area with better service.

My son, friend, and I went to this restaurant last weekend and it did not disappoint. We stumbled upon it during a walk on the harbour and we were so glad we did. Kelsey was our waitress and she was so sweet and accommodating. God bless you . I can t wait to go back to enjoy the great atmosphere and delicious food!

Never coming back to this restaurant AGAIN. I wish I could give this a negative star rating, but unfortunately, thats not an option. The worst service I ve ever experienced with a restaurant. Even McDonald s treats me better. The restaurant wasn t even busy at all. As a group of 8, we went in for 2 birthdays and the food was questionable. The birthday girl had an allergy to cheese and got the burger with cheese after ordering without it. They took it back and then there was HAIR on it and the excused it for only 1 cook being in the back. They took it back but she no longer had an appetite. Then for both of the birthday girls, they brought dessert on the house however, it tasted VERY STALE.. like it was sitting for weeks on end. I suggest you not to go to this restaurant as the service was not as expected. We were charged extra for food that was on the happy hour menu and pointed it out.. we assumed the waiter would know not to charge us regular price I guess not. Then they couldn t even refund the money they extra charged us but gave us appetizers why wouldn t u just be able to refund the money or even split the bills properly ( my friend got overcharged even after pointing it out). There was already a 20% gratuity what more do u need? PLSSS for the sake of ur money and for an enjoyable evening don t come here. Great restaurant near Sugar Beach and the docks. We had lunch outside overlooking the water. Food and drinks were excellent. Highly recommend going here.

We had an exceptional dining experience at Irene. Glen was amazing and made our evening even better. His hospitality, pleasant nature was excellent. We will surely come back again.

I went in to eat in the open air section, spiders were coming out everywhere, the sitting areas were generally very dirty, I did not like the truffle fries that came with them, the drinks were average, but the attention of the waiters was really great, they were smiling.

The tuna tartare nachos and lettuce wraps are so good. Grace and Gwen were lovely!

Kat is the best server! Met all of our needs, made great recommendations, knows the menu. Will happily return! Vegetarian options: Lots of options, especially if pescatarian (sushi, fish).

Went for a drink. Drink wasn t made well and there was no alcohol in it. I m a super lightweight and felt nothing. Pricey glass of lime water with mint. Wouldn t return.

Had the perfect lunch (Jerk chicken is perfection)! Views of the water, lounge music, a glass of wine and great food!!! What more can you ask for? Our server Colie was amazing, sweet and attentive. Give that gal a raise! Will come again and again.

I went last week with my husband for our wedding anniversary. Our waitress was very friendly and gave us two glasses of Prosecco on the house. I wish I remembered her name she was so nice. I had the truffle Brie burger with the Irene side salad. My husband had the cheeseburger with fries. I had the baked Alaska to finish. My husband had the crème brûlée for dessert. Additionally, I had the sunflower cocktail which was very smooth. My husband had a mule. We will definitely be back.

I ve just celebrated my birthday at Irene and let me tell you . This experience was like no other. The food was impeccable. The atmosphere was to die for and the servers were lovely. Rose Anne was so great, she really made the whole experience one of a kind.

Good food, but so much time to wait, we waited for 1 hour for some rolls and it wasn t a lot of people there. Manager is so ill-mannered We asked her why so long time to wait, she told us it s because it s not a sushi restaurant and because she has only 2 hands to bring our order . I Will not come back again And they don t know their menu

We will not return mainly because of the service. We went there at around 1pm last Saturday . The restaurant was not busy, I didn t count but there were like 5-6 tables (?) and I felt like people were already drinking or eating when we arrived. We sat down. No one came over to tell us who our server was. We looked at the menu at the table and kept waiting. No one offered water or asked what we wanted to drink. About 10mins after seated, I raised my hands asking for water. We got water like another 5mins later. There were 4 kids in our group. I didn t see a kids menu on the table so raised up my hands to ask if there was one. The girl said that there might be one and she left to check. She came back with a kids menu so that was good. But no one told us that the popcorn chicken was a bit spicy until the kids ate it. During our meal, water ran out and I had to keep looking around to find a person to refill our glasses. It took like 10mins to finally have water again, and that happened twice. Just no one noticed our glasses were empty. Bill time. Again, waited like 10mins. 3 families among us requested separate bills, and we got bills mixed up among us (got another family s bill). Their kids menu comes with ice cream. No one asked us after the meal time. When we were using the credit card machine, we asked I think there is ice cream come with the kids meal, is that right? The girl said oh, so you are ready for it? We were paying the bills!!! Or maybe it was just my assumption that they should have at least asked. One positive thing about their service was that, my son dropped his burger when he started eating, I was not sure if I could get him a replacement but I still decided to ask, I had to stand up so that I could walk around to find a person to talk to. I caught a male server and he was very nice to offer him a replacement. The replacement burger came in like 10-15mins so that was not too bad. Food wise, my medium steak was overcooked. My friends burgers were too dry and tasteless. The avocado dish in the brunch menu got a positive feedback.

I visited Toronto between October 3rd-6th and stopped by Irene for dinner during my trip and was blown away! The food, service, and atmosphere was a 10/10! The service was amazing especially from Rosie! She gave me great food and drink recommendations and always checked up on me to make sure everything was going well. She was very personable, inviting, and funny! I will definitely be attending Irene again on my next trip to Toronto and will recommend to anyone planning on visiting Toronto.

quick and sweet service by Grace and delicious food. They had a violinist playing which was INCREDIBLE!

We ordered a bunch of stuff to try since our first time here. 1 - the Irene Smash cheeseburger which was good. 2 - The edamame was okay, little too saucy but tasty. 3 - The Korean fried chicken lettuce wraps were good but they are premade (3 of them) not like Moxies where they bring it and you assemble (which is the fun of the dish tbh). 4 - The sesame ginger calamari was the worst dish we ordered. It was WAY too saucy with mayo. If I posted the picture it would get flagged for inappropriate content, I ordered calamari, not mayo with a side of calamari. If you are going to empty a mayo bottle on the calamari at least have the decency to put it on the side. 5 - The cucumber-avocado roll never arrived. Idk how the sushi kitchen in a restaurant that offers sushi is slammed. Quite a few tables around us had similar issues with it not arriving or arriving way later than the other meals. 6 - the frozen watermelon margarita was good, as well as the passionate mule All in all Id come back for drinks, better places for food around for the price.

This was an interesting place with pretty bad service: did something happen?! FOOD: I expected to come here for Italian, but it ended up being pub food. Okay, so we ordered shishito peppers, some wings, and of course tuna starter. All was good, and fresh: shishito peppers were the bomb, with a great balance of sweet and salty and tuna was very very fresh. The wings on the other hand were bland-ish. I certainly had better! SERVICE It s a misteri, but there was a moment where our server and all servers disappeared for 15 minutes. We were so confused as there was no one on the floor to help us or other guests. A new server returned and we have no ideal what happened there. Not the best look. ATMO Yeah, this was alright. I mean, you cannot compete with a lakefront patio in the summer, but it was just okay.

Just came back from Irenes where a friend and I ordered beers that came 80% full. We didnt say anything when it arrived but mentioned it when we were ordering a second one. Out comes another one at 80% full and we point it out to the server who obviously isnt the guy doing the bartending and he emphasizes with us but were still sitting with 80% of our beer. Then when its time to pay we say are we going to get 20% off the bill? No we werent but did we want to talk to the manager. Too late and next time we vote with our wallets to go somewhere else and get what we paid for.

We had a lovely evening at IRENE. Relaxed atmosphere,delicious food, fine drinks & nice view from the patio. Only restroom cleanliness should be improved.

The Atmosphere at the Patio is really nice, also whether was perfect at the moment of our lunch. Food was good. Service was OK , our waitress doesn t asked us if we need anything else, also we waited too much for the bill and clean the table. But in general is a good place to eat.

The lakefront patio is perhaps (probably?) Torontos best. Spacious, no car, beautiful view. Food and service were solid too, we had a beautiful dinner.

Before leaving Toronto we stopped for one last lunch facing the lake... Great, incredible view. The dishes are plentiful and good, the staff is pleasant and the location is great on the terrace.

We had a reservation through OpenTable, when arrived they said restaurant was closing for an event and basically told us to leave. Never seen such a horrible service, worst considering we were going with our kids .

This restaurant was a disappointment. We waited 30 minutes to be seated despite open tables, and the staff seemed confused and overwhelmed. It was clear they were understaffed. Our food and drinks took over an hour to arrive, which was unacceptable. When we told them we had to leave, they initially offered us our sushi order for free. However, when we were about to leave, they had changed their minds about the offer, which felt unprofessional. The food itself was average at best. Overall, the experience was frustrating and I wouldnt recommend this restaurant.

Treven was our server today and we felt he was an exceptional server. I wouldn t necessarily return for the food, it was average, but I would definitely return to see Treven again 10 stars !! Parking: We parked under the George brown building

The food is delicious! The tuna nacho, tuna nicoise salad, chicken lettuce wrap, and jerk chicken are fire. Their patio is pet friendly with a dog menu available containing lots of options for your fur friends. Great place to socialize with friends and family.

I ve never been taken care of at an establishment to this capacity. The genuine warmth and care from Tristan and Glen at the bar was like none other. Truly an unforgettable experience, thanks guys!

I went today there with my partner. We ask for one of the burgers and ribs, we knew it was going to take some time so we order calamari for appetizers, arrived pretty quick as we requested and we continue waiting for the rest for 1h, we ask because nobody approach us to inform us of nothing, we waited for any response and decided just to leave to another restaurant because we were hungry. I didnt got to taste any of the food but got very dissatisfied with the service.

Sadly, we came here a couple of weeks ago and it was great, we came back with high hopes to try new things o the menu and gosh did we crash, 157 cad for one of the worst meals I ve had in Toronto so far. Everything was between ugly and nasty. We ordered sushi, probably the worst quality sushi I ve had in a long time, dry rice, bad quality ingredients, not tasty at all. Hope I don t get sick from it. One of the table fixing ladies was just rude because I moved my chair out of the sun into some shade (it was HOT) and then she just ignored my request to change tables. After the sushi our plates took ages to get to the table but we were excited to finally eat, but boy were we disappointed. We had a steak (you can t convince me that was a steak, more like a random piece of meat), it was dry, overflown with chimichurri, not medium rare as I ordered, it was so bad that not even the fries were tasty. We also ordered fish and chips, the batter was overflown with grease, nothing to taste but oil in it, parts of it were undercooked, and once again terrible fries. To say the least the only good thing about that plate was the sauce. Last time we came by, we ordered a Sangria it came with little pieces of mango, basil leaves, this time it was water with ice and yellowish color. We told one of the servers the food was bad and we only got a sorry Our sever was very nice but nothing else is good to say on our experience. We will not coming back again and you probably shouldn t either, unless you re ready for a very bad meal and pay a lot for it.

Went there with another family this past weekend. Good: location and view are great. They have a huge waterfront patio that has an impeccable view. There s also a big shaded area if you don t want to sit directly in the sun. Mediocre: food is very mediocre. Nothing wrong, nothing noticeable. Comes with a price premium because of the location. Service is really lacking. We were a group of five and one of the dishes has grilled salmon. The salmon skin came completely burnt and charcoaled, all black. They served as if it met their quality standard to serve. When we asked what can they do about it, they took it to the kitchen, and minutes later, handed out the same piece of salmon, just with the skin peeled. And that was it. No explanation, no apologies. And the server didn t seem to care at all. During the meal, she didn t come over to check in either. When the bill came, the server didn t ask anything how our experience was and the tip options on the POS machine started at 18% (of course, nowadays). I picked 15% to reflect what service we had received. No complaints, just had a really mediocre experience overall. It cost us $210 for a brunch of five, incl coffee and drinks. Probably wouldn t come back or recommend it to friends. It is a pity because we really enjoyed the location (Right next to Sugar Beach) and the view.

They recently started sushi it was good. Patio is nice and vibrant the inside is also nice.

Like many of the restaurants in this area, the prices here are a bit high for what you get, but that aside, I had a good experience. I tried a the spicy salmon and spicy tuna rolls, and had bites of the jerk fish tacos and rigatoni bolognese. Everything tasted somewhere between good and great. Our server was quite nice, but took a bit longer than ideal to take our order. Their patio is right on the water, overlooking Lake Ontario, making for a really nice atmosphere in the warmer months.

My friends and I had such a great time at IRENE S thanks to Grace. She was friendly, attentive, and made sure we had everything we needed. The food was also delicious and reasonably priced. We felt very welcome and will definitely be back. Thanks, Grace!

Solid choice for dinner. A fairly quiet place on the water. Food was above average, but not significantly memorable. Server was pleasant and professional. Certainly didnt feel rushed at all. A little disappointed that there were no local or even Canadian wines on the menu.

I ordered the steak, and they didnt even ask for the way I wanted it cooked. They bring it well done cooked and it was hard like brick. I couldnt have a bite. I had to return it. Later, I ordered their calamari. It looked okay, but taste was too bad. The calamari smelled like kerosine or rotten vinegar. They totally ruined our dinner. The waitress said she couldnt do anything about it. She was sorry, though.

Patio is nice but service is impeccably slow. Also, the male waiter working the patio took down my order incorrectly - we got an 8oz meal instead of a 6oz meal for my dog, who ended up overeating and puking. He didn t write down our order, so my guess is he remembered wrong. We found out it was an 8oz plate when we got the bill. Food is alright, nothing special including the baked alaska dessert.

We came here last year, and like today, we were served by Jordan who s an awesome server and genuine guy, always smiling and being attentive. Food was good last year but feels even tastier this year. The Brie burger was well balanced and tasty, the French toast was perfect summer decadence and the calamari was probably the best we ve had anywhere. Great overall vibe being so close to the water with the DJ throwing down some bangers at lunchtime.

I ate dinner here with my family and boyfriend. We had never been to Irene before but thought the menu was very intriguing. The prices are on the higher end but the quality of the food is excellent, and it was nice to know that the restaurant donates some of their income to those in need. I ordered sushi and every bite tasted quite fresh, and everyone enjoyed their dishes as well. Our server, Grace, was very personable and super sweet and we would love to come here again.

I have come here a few times and the best service I received is from Grace. She was super sweet and suggested new drinks which I appreciated.

It was my first time dining in at Irene on August 12, and the service was amazing! Carolina took very good care of us and our dog! The pawtio is a very pup-friendly environment, and the food came very quickly! We definitely felt taken care of by Carolina and the other peers on the patio!

Carolina WAS THE BEST! Me and a couple of my girls came in and sat on the patio here, and she took the best care of us. She was very attentive, as well as efficient, she even made sure our dog was comfortable. Would definitely come back here just for her. The food was delicious, but it was a little bit underwhelming for the price. Overall everything was such a good vibe, and the service was a 10/10 !!

We came in on a Monday with my little pup, and they had a dog menu for him and everything! So sweet! I work in the service industry and love to hop around restaurants to try new menus. You d be surprised how many restaurants downtown have over price fare, with subpar service. This is one of those places where the atmosphere and the wait staff made everything taste so much better! You are getting exactly what you pay for, for sure. They have great oysters, and plenty of options for appetizers/shareables. We sat on the patio for the sunset, and once it got dark, the patio stayed well lit. Our server Carolina was so sweet and attentive. Our table stayed clean, our food came on time, and water hit our table immediately! Perfect balance between having our own time at the table, and time with our server. Hands down to the staff here, you made us feel so welcome :)

The restaurant looks nice and has a nice patio however the food is absolute disappointment esp. for the price. Nasi Goreng is an insult to Indonesia. The only tasty part in the meal was the egg. The chicken was overcooked and rubbery without any seasoning. Worth mentioning the chicken is extra $9 on top of the $20 late of rice and egg. And who in their right mind adds pineapple to Nasi Goreng? I urge the chef/owner to try and authentic nasi Goreng - this was not even close to the original. I understand chef taking liberty to craft their own recipe but this was very bad. The mango/ginger drink was good. Dog friendly patio and couple of options for dog meals costs $8+.

Great summer restaurant. Patio is nice, right on the water with views out to the Toronto Islands. Inside was empty. Service was great. Drinks are well made and taste great. I would return.

A very large space next to the water that wasnt very busy on a rainy Saturday evening. Getting a reservation for 8 was easy. Was a bit hard to get the servers attention...the space is so big, and it was sort of empty. The staff were very professional. I had the Sous vide short ribs, and was very pleased with the beautiful presentation and wonderful flavors. Vegetarian options: Fried green tomato sandwich was delicious.

Food was absolutely great but service was so poor. We were a group of 8 and clearly there was an automatic 20 percent gratuity. We were waiting for everything including water. Please dont charge a tip if you cant service your customers properly. Tip should be optional and should be based on the service.

I went on a nice day mid afternoon on a weekday after the lunch rush before work day ends. Despite an empty dining room and half empty patio. The service was very bad, extremely slow service. My waitress couldnt bother to return to our table and another server took over to assist, wasnt even extremely busy. Shockingly perhaps the worst presentation of a Caesar salad I ve ever seen. You are paying for the patio atmosphere nothing more...

I would not recommend eating here at all. I ordered the sushi, which took 30 minutes to prepare, and most pieces included the tail shells in the roll. I couldn t pull out the tails, so I ended up having to spit it out completely. Additionally, I requested no fish eggs, yet my order contained them. The service was terrible; the waiter saw us multiple times but never checked on us. When we complained, nothing was done to address our issues. Save your time and money eat at Simona next door for much better service and food.

Arrived at 8:30pm on a day theyre closing at 9pm. Told it was last call so they couldnt seat me; I was alone with my dog & the patio was mostly empty. As soon as I was 10ft away they sat a group of 3 girls at a table, without a problem. No idea why I was turned away but they were allowed. Wont be back to this dog-friendly patio.

Me and my friend went there yesterday for birthday dinner, very bad customer service very bad behaviour especially with us i noticed We ordered the food, food was arrived on time but they didn t give us any cutlery napkins and plates and when we ask him about these thing he replied they are in the back it will take time please wait very bad experience

I had the pleasure of dining at Irene Restaurant recently, and I must say it was an exceptional experience from start to finish. The ambiance was inviting, the service was impeccable, and the food was simply outstanding. Komal, one of the staff members, deserves special recognition for her exceptional service. She was attentive, friendly, and went above and beyond to ensure our dining experience was enjoyable. Her knowledge of the menu and recommendations were spot on, making our meal even more delightful. As for the food, everything we ordered was delicious. The fish & chips were perfectly crispy and flavorful, a true classic done right. The nasi goreng had just the right balance of flavors and spices, transporting us with every bite. And the lettuce-wrapped Korean fried chicken was a delightful surprise, crunchy on the outside and tender on the inside, with a delicious sauce that complemented it perfectly. Overall, Irene Restaurant exceeded our expectations in every way. The combination of excellent food and outstanding service, especially from Komal, made it a memorable dining experience. I would highly recommend Irene Restaurant to anyone looking for a wonderful dining experience with top-notch service. We will definitely be returning soon! I came to this restaurant for the patio and was not disappointed. Our server Jordan was awesome! He made sure we always had water, had everything out in a timely manner and checked up on us to make sure we were okay every now and then ! Would come back

Waterview tables were occupied, Karl was kind enough to move us to a table with a better view of the harborfront. Food is delicious, service was great!

Very happy about the sushi addition! Sushi is amazing, was thrilled when I found about the sushi addition to the menu. Though, our table was very wobbly and we struggled to use soysauce, Carl fixed our table before we got to ask. Came here to eat with a few friends and hoped to take cute pictures of our food in the patio but unfortunately the weather was not very forgiving during our experience. Would suggest getting new patio tables.

decided to have dinner here a few days ago with a friend & my dog, had a wonderful experience. the dog friendly patio caught our attention while taking a morning stroll by sugar beach. food was exquisite, despite not having pictures on the menu. definitley looking forward to trying more items on the menu & drinks ! service was just absolutely amazing, staff were filled with smiles and greeted us with joy. props to our server evelyn & carl for doing an amazing job and making our dining experience memorable . I was very delighted to see that my dog was also given a water bowl along with our own. overall such a lovely patio, great scenery, friendly staff, & delicious food! my dog very much enjoyed the head pats, you can really tell how much the staff loves dogs. cannot wait to try the brunch menu next time.

Went here with my friend for the first time on a Friday night without a reservation. As soon as we arrive, the Host, Drishti, accommodated us right away. We were asked if we wanted a patio or indoor seating. We wouldve chosen patio to have the lakefront dining experience but since it was a bit chilly that night we chose indoor. The ambiance inside was amazing and every corner is aesthetically pleasing. The big circular mirrors outside the washroom are perfect for selfies lol Since it was our first time, we had a lot of questions about the menu. Our server, Jordan, answered everything with so much knowledge and enthusiasm. He also made some recommendations that helped us decide what to get. He was also very friendly and polite and that made us feel comfortable trusting him with his recommendations. Everything we ordered arrived quickly and tasted good. My go-to drink everywhere is red wine Sangria and IRENE makes a good one! We were curious about the Baked Alaska dessert so we tried it. Ive never had that anywhere else and my taste buds are always delighted when I try something new and it ends up being good. 10/10 experience overall!

Salmon benny was super yummy, cozy environment, good go-to brunch spot. Place is a bit hidden had to get direction assistance with front desk Carlo. Good food and helpful staff, money well spent.

Amazing place and outstanding service from Komal

I wanted to try this restaurant since it s such a nice location, I m so happy I did. The host, Carl was very welcoming and gave us food recommendations, the Truffle Brie Burger was delicious , just as he said it would be. Our server Jordan was so attentive and polite , he suggested to try jalapeños with the burger and it made it even better. Over all I think the location is 10l10 next time I will try to get a patio table.

We went to Irene on Canada Day and although it was quite busy, our food came out on time. Our server Komal was very kind and provided excellent service. The atmosphere was nice, and the Salmon Poke Bowl was delicious. We plan to bring our dog next time!

First of, I ve always loved the location of this place, along with the restaurant s colour scheme and layout. Personally the water-facing patio is the cherry on top! Super friendly and communicative staff, our host Carl and Ameena were amazing. Was picky with patio seating, sorry about that! Nasi was just superb, no one does calamari like IRENE.

We held a private cocktail reception event on the patio and it was a great success. The patio on the waterfront is beautiful, the staff were very courteous and friendly, and the food was plentiful and delicious. We look forward to holding other events here in the future, so please dont everyone book it up.

Last year was amazing with the service and food! Yesterday when I was celebrating my friends birthday our server appeared to not like us, I noticed he was dodging our table and we had to call for him to order our mains and drinks! The vibe was definitely off and basically gave us the bare minimum we called for a manager and explained why do we have to pay a 20% tip if the server was acting this way, the manager was great and handled the situation well Had our server treated us better this would of gotten 4/5 star review I m giving it a 3 because the manager was very accommodating and understanding of the situation!

Came all the way from out of town. (drove 80 km) the taller asian server was extremely unwelcoming , he did not want to be there at all! We were saying thanks to him and he would just ignore us. As a waiter he should say no problem not ignore us. We were there for an occasion and he didn t even ask.. every time we wanted to order more we had to hunt him down.. only came to our table in 35 minute intervals. Manager tried to rectify the situation but it was too late.. we will not be coming back here. Too bad first time we came here was a great time in 2023 but not this time in 2024. Please retrain the taller asian server that was working tonight (July 6)

Cool design decent food terrible service. I asked to use the bathroom as I was in the area one day later and they did not allow us to use as we were not customers. I m like I just brought my famil for a birthday here two days ago. She said no where only open for this event. Crazy rude behaviour

Had lunch here with my sister during victoria day weekend, the patio experience was messy.. which was unfortunate considering the waterfront view location. Patio staff seemed all over the place. Thankfully wasn t the case this time. Our host carl, made sure we had a better dining experience after mentioning our previous experience. Food was great, had to try the snowdragon roll. Personally I think there is too much rice in the rolls, could just be me, but it was delicious nonetheless. Glad our dining experience was better this time.

I live nearby and come biking by this place a lot and always wanted to try it. Tried to get brunch here today. The lakeshore patio vibe is amazing. The service was great. We ordered 3 things Cappuccino was great Lettuce wraps were amazing However the chicken club was the worst chicken club i have had at any restaurant in the world. It was over powered by salty and sour taste. The chicken breast was dry and the bread was greasy. Would still come again to try other dishes in the future.

Visiting Toronto from new york with family, and the storm got us trapped in our hotel. Thankfully the storm cleared and this restaurant was nearby. Delicious food, cute patio, Sanny and Carl were amazing.

Excellent food quality, obvious the ingredients are well chosen and the kitchen team knows their stuff. Waitress was fantastic, sorry I forgot her name, but everyone who came to the table were very good. We were a family of 6 and we never felt unwelcome on their patio. A great hidden gem in a new neighborhood.

Had a wonderful lunch in this restaurant with my wife. Wait staff were extremely caring and made sure we were accommodated throughout. Our host Carl was super friendly, had plenty of great conversations and laughs. Servers were attentive and knew their stuff! The smash burger is probably in my top 5 best burgers Ive had in Toronto. Very filling, delicious, and worth the money. Never had truffle fries and tried it, compliments the burger really well. Tuna nachos and focaccia were also splendid, compliments to the cooks. Loved to see that staff provides plenty of water during this summer heat especially. 100/10 dining and patio experience.

Everything is either reheated or overcooked frozen food. Soggy, greasy. Coleslaw smells plastic. Ice cream absorbed all fridge odor. Nice try to take back the burnt chicken for evidence clearance. I already took the picture. Not functioning kitchen obviously.

Everything we ate was delicious. Was excited to splurge on a Birthday outing and felt almost type casted and our server did not make us feel welcomed. Waited over an hour to order our entrees after being seated while watching our server wander in circles aimlessly. Would attend to the more business looking customers 3-5 times between checking in on us. Will be returning for the food but the service needs worked on.

We came here on a whim after a walk by the harbor front. The food was amazing - I especially recommend the edamame. I also had a cider sangria and it was delicious! Friendly, fast service.

Went for dinner with the family and the truffle Brie burger was one of the best burgers I ve ever had! Compliments to the chef and the overall service was incredible. We have a small child and they were very accommodating! Highly recommend and the view of the water is to die for!!

They cancelled happy hour which was only there for a little bit. Nice patio and clean bathrooms. Pricey but for the views I guess and I would recommend to the restaurant to provide plates, napkins and cutlery. Had to flag down our server for these and saw another table have to do the same.. bizarre. Perhaps the dishwasher was broken and they prefer we eat with our hands and wipe on our pants

Chance walk in for dinner with family after seeing sunset at the harbor front. Felt experimental and hence ordered french onion soup along with other usuals like steak, salmon etc. Steak was very well done and delicious as was the salmon. Korean chicken wrap was also great! None of us enjoyed the french onion soup and since the dish was untouched, the team did not charge us for it! Really nice of team Irene ;) Highly recommend this place!

For tacos and for 22$ we got 3 small, overpriced, super soggy, spicy messy tacos that we could barely eat even when we asked for forks. No napkins with food or when seated, you have to ask for it. Wings were not bad, metro wings quality. Service was also OK at best, borderline not worth the tip. Cold beer and great atmosphere tho

We threw a fantastic party for 60 people at Irene with the most wonderful team! Daisy, the manager, was incredibly professional, and her teams enthusiasm and warmth made our guests feel so welcome. The space was really inviting and cozy, and the food was absolutely delicious, pleasing everyone in our group. Shastine, the Senior Sales & Events Manager, gave us fantastic suggestions that fit perfectly with our budget and plans.
