Jiangnan handmade dim sum in Toronto

Got some amazing takeout today. The beef soup with noodles was delicious and also the steamed pork buns. A bit tricky to get parking but otherwise great food. Will visit again… or maybe get delivery…

Passing by the green building at Yonge. I knew this brand but never tried so I ordered on delivery app and picked up the order. They finished my food within 15 minutes. When i opened the box I had a bad feeling because the green onion on the top looks kind of old. Then i tried the dim sum, yes it is leftover for sure not hot just Warm no crispy at all. I never had any Shanghai fried dim sum like this. Never will come back again. Not recommend.

Great pan fried dumplings. Owner is very nice as well. Looks like a family run business.

The dumplings were good. The skin was slightly thicker than usual Xiao long bao but whoever made them had superb folding skill. The filling is authentic and juicy. The noodles were not especially good. Overall, average tasting food, probably get by for a food court place.

Im so very disappointed and sad that I had to write this review. This place has been my go place and not until yesterday. Been a consistent costumer and had never experienced such bad service and food. I usually order the cb5 which is a brisket beef soup and dumplings. I order the same thing at least once a week and to tell you I was shocked at the quality is an understatement. Just pure disappointment. The lady who packed my order filled my soup with noodles there was no broth or beef. There was 90% noodle 10% broth I had to boil water to add to it because of how filled it was with noodles and no beef. The broth wasn’t even seasoned how it usually is. It was absolutely upsetting to me. Something I look forward to eating and it had been packed poorly and not same quality. Not sure who will be taking over but there’s usually a male cook whom i usually order from even with the English barrier he still gets my order right always!! I will not be going back if he’s not there because the ladies that were there clearly don’t have a clue what they are doing.

EDIT AFTER THE OWNER'S RESPONSE: I cannot believe the owner just threw the new employee under the bus with their response when the problem is a combination of the restaurant being short staffed and lack of training. Leaving a new employee to handle the whole shop without proper training, then blaming them when customers complain? Stay classy eh? No food at this place if you go in person. Lady told me just a minute when I tried to order and she spent 5min cooking packing and taking orders on delivery apps. I left after 5 min when she took new orders on the app in front of me and still haven't asked me what I want to order.

I ordered the stir-fried braised pork belly with noodles, and it didn’t disappoint. It was so good! The uncle who mans the store is very nice and kind, even though he can’t speak much english. I hope more people will try their food. I will surely come back and try the other dishes.

For food court food, it's pretty decent. Combo #1 was good. The fried baos were hot and tasty and the beef glass noodle soup was decent.
