The staff is very rude especially the old man waiter. He criticizes and embarrasses us in front of people because we didnt tip, claiming that he works on tips and for low wages. Dear employee, its not the customers fault that you hate your job, and as long as there is an option not to tip, it means you have no right to force me to tip . By the way the food wasnt good but we were nice and said everything was good and didnt tip.

I had a steak sandwich yesterday around 7pm and got food poison, that was the only thing I ate since yesterday. My friend is feeling bad too, he had a Diablo sandwich. We found a hair in the food. You should be more careful when making the food

I am writing a review about a server/host who was absolutely rude to us. We went to Joe Bird and were waiting in the queue to be seated where the host told us to wait. We waited for almost 15-20 minutes and after that the queue started up after us but the host didn t listen to us and didn t have us seated, rather told us to join the queue again. That was ridiculous at first place as she knew that we were the 2nd in place and she should have taken the responsibility to have us seated but she wouldn t listen and was indeed really rude with us. Never seen such a service in a restaurant, unfortunately we forgot to take her name. I think they should have a better/designated staff for the seat allotment.

A very rude, negligent, and prejudiced staff with almost no respect for customers. The hostess was unattentive and didnt bother to tell us that we werent standing at the right spot for the waiting. When we tried to talk to her, she was rude and the second time she started shouting at us. I would not recommend this place at all. It was a very bad experience.

I came by this afternoon and the most lovely server, Nikolle served my table. She was the most amazing and kind person, she suggested we try the bao buns and they were amazing! I had an wonderful time and received incredible service!

When they see a bad review, They write here to email them so they can make it up to me, and then when I took out time to actually send a proper email to them, they dont even bother responding. Its been more than 2 months since I sent email. DO NOT GO HERE!!! ORIGINAL REVIEW :Horrible! I came here just today Tuesday Aug 7 at around 7.02 pm to order takeout. First off all, no professionalism. They talked to me as if they didnt really wanna serve me but had to coz I walked in. I asked about the vegetarian options since Im vegetarian, the guy who was supposed to take my order brought out another guy who just looked sick and not supposed to be working with food ,(nasty blocked nose and everything). Then, I asked about the sandwich special they have showing on google maps menu, which is buy 1 get 1 sandwich free. They said its very old not currently valid and couldnt honor it even though I showed it to them. I said ok, ordered the veg burger and cornbread, they said its gonna take 10 min. I came back in like 5 min and am just standing there coz no ones at the weird truck counter so I assume theyre still preparing my order and will bring it out when its ready. Nope, after standing around for 5 min, a guy who was taking out trash or something saw me and said oh your order has been already ready long time ago. Wow, whos gonna tell me that my order is ready?? Am i supposed to just magically know my order is ready? Anyways I ring the bell and the sick guy(who took my order) brings it out with wet hands. I wanna give him the benefit of doubt but really, who hands customer orders with wet hands??? That just feels so unhygienic. Anyways, I ask for extra napkins, he gives me them, again with those wet hands, and Im on my way. When I later open it, its not what I ordered!!!! I asked for the cornbread and they gave me god awful Brussel sprouts. What am I supposed to do now??? I thought to call but they already closed. Horrible, treating customers poorly, unhygienic handling, and not able to take a single order correctly. Oh , and I paid $22 something for this. This just left such a bad taste in my mouth and having concerns about unsafe food handling, I had to throw the whole order out. I dont know how theyre gonna rectify this but they need to.

Beautiful view of the restaurant, one of the best location of Downtown Toronto. We recently had our office party and we had an amazing experience.

WOW!!!! What an amazing atmosphere at Joe Bird. The patio is awesome overlooking the lake. From the moment we got there, we felt so welcome. We were seated by Chelsea, a very friendly, bubbly young lady. Our server was Nicole who was equally as friendly, offering us suggestions as it was our first time there. Food was amazing. Next time we are back down that way, we will be sure to come back. So happy we stumbled upon this little gem.

We wanted to eat overlooking the water and ended up choosing Joe Bird. Although we found some of the servers a little too casual, the beer was tasty, and the food we ordered was fresh and delicious and really hit the spot! We would certainly return.

We had group dinner with reservation for 16pax. The manager & Ethan who attended to our tables were very accommodating, warm and helpful. We asked for the outdoor corner spot for privacy and they had the tables setup nicely. We ordered family platters which are no longer on the menu, and the kitchen made them for us. Portions are large and everything tasted delicious with plenty of salads and side dishes. We also ordered several other items on the menu & the draft beer pitchers. We had wonderful time. Thanks for making our gathering a memorable one. Will recommend. ps. fyi, they do charge 18% gratuities for large group, for the special attention & service granted, no complain at all.

The brussel sprouts are SO good!! We love the people watching on the patio but its the brussel sprouts that bring us back.

We had a great time sharing appetizers and having drinks. Everything was delicious and the view on the patio was gorgeous. Our server Stephanie (iirc) was super sweet and attentive. Service was a bit slow, perhaps because it was busy.

Nice view of the yyz waterfront. Stephanie was absolutely pleasant with a quick smile and personality. Beer was tasty for the usual price point given location.

My partner and I split the bao buns, as well as the steak sandwich. The prices werent crazy high initially, but we were especially pleased when we saw how large the portion sizes were for both, especially considering that they come with sizeable side dishes as well. Both dishes were really good and quite filling. I did have a very difficult time trying to place my order (we got takeout) as the kitchen was not picking up the phone when I was transferred to them, and the online ordering platform was consistently malfunctioning. If youre eventually able to get through to this place, youll likely have a good experience.

Great location on the lake. Inside or patio. If you like chicken they have that not much else. Friendly staff. Food is good. Fries are coated Costco type (average).

Really nice flavorful chicken, tender. Barbecue sauce light and not too sweet. Attentive service from Kathy. Tostada a little chewy maybe but that s clearly not their #1 specialty. Water front view is really nice.

Stopped here for a beer and ended up having bar snacks too. Very nice, waiter was nice (Tom I believe) and informative with regard to beers and food choices. We wanted to try two different sauces, so the chef split the plate excellent! Thanks chef! A nice place to drop in for a beer and away from road noise. It was a bit odd waiting to order a drink refill with 3 staff just chatting at the entrance. It seemed like the assigned station areas were not helping each other out. Maybe a result of the staff not having a vested (financial) interest in the business. Beer and bar snack/sides we had were good and our waiter was very good. Nice!

A true 5 star experience! Rainbow flags stole my heart. Sundays are a must to try, be aware that you might fall in love with this place and plan all your Sundays around it. The music is great, 8-10 dj on rotation. Been here many times already. Totally recommend it.

Terrible experience. Waited over an hour for a meal that never came. Our waitress, Kathy never followed up, with no courtesy as we noticed her serving food to other guests (atleast 3 tables) that had sat down after us. She then came to our table with the wrong meal that was quickly given to the table next to us since it wasnt ours. No mention of where our meal was, or a sorry let me check etc... Over an hour later, I left the table to pay for the drinks we were served at the bar, since we were being unattended to anyway, and had mentioned my frustrations to the bartender. Kathy approaches us with the machine to pay for our drinks and mentioned the food is coming ....after an hour and a half? We decided to only pay for our drinks and leave. No apology and no accountability that she definitely forgot our order. Again, no follow up to our table or information knowing that we were waiting for our meal while other orders were blowing by right next to us, terrible.

I recently visited Joe Bird in Toronto, and unfortunately, my experience was quite disappointing. The chicken and waffles were the worst Ive ever had. The Belgian waffles tasted like they came straight from Costco bland, uninspiring and definitely not made fresh at the restaurant. The fried chicken was a little on the dry side and a bit hard, lacking the juiciness and flavor youd expect from a good piece of fried chicken. Overall, it was a letdown, and I wouldnt recommend it.

Absolutely thrilled to have discovered this restaurant - we live nearby and it has a lovely patio overlooking the water. However, we are a little annoyed that their online ordering doesnt work - very inconvenient for when we want takeout but HAVE to go up to their indoor takeout truck and then wait for 20+ minutes.. hope this is fixed soon. Unfourtunately the food is so good that its worth the wait.

Great time at Joe Bird! We were glad to sit inside on a cool evening and were served by Sarita who was amazing! She was patient as she answered all our questions about the menu, delivered our drinks and food quickly and checked on us regularly but not in an intrusive way. We all enjoyed our meals; two of us had the chicken fingers and two had the bao buns. We all thought that the portions were generous; we even had leftovers to take home! Location was great along the water. We look forward to going back on a sunny day.

Rude server. Couldn t remember our order and asked us multiple times after she placed our ordered what we wanted. She offered us water for which she charged $20.00.

We went to Joe Bird for a quick bite, as it s literally on Harbourfront and it s so convenient. We just had the patata bravas and a portobello sandwich. It was okay honestly. The Patata Bravas is good if enjoyed with a nice drink. Not a fan of Portobello though.

Food was bland, limited menu for brunch. Salad was all lettuce with acidic dressing and nothing else. Milkshake was very milky, not flavourful. Overall not impressed, location is great but the food was subpar. Much better options along the waterfront to choose from.

I get it, youre situated right infront of the pier so you want to upcharge your customers. Fine, I understand that, but youd think you would deliver in terms of food quality or service but no. The restaurant was not busy but it took like 30 minutes before I could get a server, then God knows how long before my meal arrived. What did I order? Two chicken pieces and a broccoli and cauliflower. Yes real rocket science. And mind you the chicken breast is supposedly cut in half, so they dont give it to you whole. Alright fine whatever, I accept it. Then the dish arrived, I look at it and think, this looks more like a quarter of breast. But hey, it taste as well as a smoked chicken breast does. And the broccoli was... well broccoli. The sauce and cheese didnt really do anything. Then came the dark meat. It had an off smell to it. Nothing strong mind you, but very reminiscent of the times Ive eaten at cheap chicken joints (all of which resulted in an upset stomach). Kind of like the rottisere chicken at walmart, except youre paying 20 dollars for it. I tend not to eat out too much, especially chicken, if I do I try to go for a place that atleast seems like it promises good quality. I can already see my impending stomach ache happening already (feeling the naseua already). But hey, lets ignore all that. Lets say the quality was good, no funky chicken. Look at the sides. Its laughable. I mean who is the main star of the dish here ? I feel like I ordered broccoli and cauliflower with a side of chicken. I feel more full of my greens than anything else. Honestly, Im not even mad, just confused. What a surreal experience.

The food was delicious! Mainly the chicken with the broccoli and cauliflower side!! Highly recommend the dish. Make sure to get the rooster sauce!! The service was lackluster at best. Katherine brought out Cesar drinks without the advertised special salami. She brought two salami s when we inquired and told us they were the last two. Then she forgot the 2nd side plate and we had to find one ourselves. She also had to be reminded to get us the rooster sauce after the food was delivered. Most awkward part of the service we received from Katherine was when she brought the credit card machine so that we could pay the bill. She stood by the table with dirty dishes in her hand and insisted that she needed to take the machine with her. She stood by the table and waited while I confirmed payment and enter in the tip. Quite uncomfortable and unprofessional. She also tried to remove the salad bowl as I was still nibbling away. Katherine needs a little better training and service etiquette. I think would go a long way. Compliments to the chef, not so much Kathy.

The quality of the chicken was mid. I was expecting a nice fried crispy chicken but the batter was subpar and the texture of the chicken breast was not what I expected. The best part was Steam Whistle on tap. I probably wouldn t go back, bur rather dine at another restaurant within the vicinity. *Natalie - was a good host/server.

Great spot at harbourfront. I ordered Smokey Grilled chicken and cornbread. The chicken was cooked in sous vide before getting it grilled, the outcome is a very juicy chicken! I will try the fried chicken next time.

My main salad was tiny and was described way better on the menu. That being said, great spot by the water.

This place has it all! It s by the water, it has exceptional food, atmosphere and service. Nikolle in particular continues to be a great server and host at this location. She, like all staff, are welcoming, professional and have a deep interest in helping and serving their customers with the utmost respect, efficiency and approachability. I d recommend this place to anyone visiting or who calls this neighbourhood home.

This store is a scam to steal your money. Be careful when paying. Check the receipt and reject any charges for gratuity that you do not agree with.The scheme is simple, they bring you the receipt where they have added 18% gratuity without telling you. They add the total to the payment terminal. When you are ready to pay, the machine asks you to select a tip. This happened to me. No one informed me that the tip is included. I was not careful to check the bill completely, (I only checked the items) and when I paid, I offered a tip, while the tip was on the bill. Double tip. They look professionals & organized in this scheme. The waitress said she was 1000% sure that the girl who seated us told us that the tip was included. And when she saw that she was getting a tip for the second time, she thought that she had done a very good job, thats why she didnt say anything. If you decide to visit this shop and no one tells you that the tip is included or it is not printed on the menu, refuse to pay it because it is your right. The beauty of this story was that, the waitress felt offended when I asked her that why did I tip twice? What about me being stolen in front of my eyes. Food get 7/10.

I was visiting Toronto and walked down to the harbour with my boyfriend. He pointed out this nice restaurant so we came here. We sat on the patio and it was pretty refreshing sitting in the shade. The patio during the evening is covered by the shade and theres a really nice breeze too. The beers are nice and cold and we shared the toquitos that was amazing. Our server was Nikole and shes friendly and pretty attentive aswell!

I had chicken bowl, it was terrible. 80%of bowl was overcooked sticky rice, instead of beans they put weird purée of beans, instead of fresh avocado purée was a drop of ready avocado sauce. Because of the poor quality ingredients the whole meal tasted awful. Also terrace was full of some kind of mosquitos .

Went here for a beer with friends. We bought 5 beers, 10$ each, 500ml. Pleasant staff and service, you can try some beers before you order one. I had a hazy something beer with tropical taste - good one. Unfortunately they dont have any sweet beers with juice, so my gf didnt finish her drink. However the staff recomended her the lightest one as she dont drink strong, bitter beers - good for them. Nice big windows inside with a water view.

However, when it comes to the food, while the chicken fingers and chicken poutine are decent, they dont quite match up to the excellence of the beer selection. Theyre satisfying but lack the wow factor. Overall, Joe Bird is a must-visit for beer lovers, but dont expect culinary greatness from their chicken dishes.

Came on a Sunday around 11am. When we came they only had 3 tables occupied inside and few on the patio, so we had variety of seating options. Although we initially chose a table with a view of Lake Ontario, the wind that day prompted a spontaneous move to a warmer spot, which turned out to be a cozy decision. Our first server was very friendly and helpful. We ordered 3 different dishes from their brunch menu and all of them were pretty good. Towards the end, things felt a bit rushed, they brought the bill and just left it at the table without saying anything and not even asking if we wanted one or separate bills. Then we had to catch a 3rd server for the machine. Overall, it was okay will definitely give another try.

Warm atmosphere , delicious fries , great DJ , & above all Ethan & Ben who are not only friendly but also attentive . They are an asset for this place . BTW. I was given a beautiful carnation for the mothers day .

I just had one of the worst dining experience of my life. It was my birthday today, my fiance booked in advance to go to this establishment as we live closeby and had it recommended. I appreciate it was a public holiday today and that it was very busy. My partner had reserved a spot for 2 outside, but it was busy so we were seated inside. No problem, it happens. This was at 1pm. At 1:15pm, we order our drinks, and they arrive pretty quickly which was great. After that, we had radio silence. We were enjoying our drinks and each others company so we didnt mind, and we knew it was busy. By 2pm, we noticed everyone around us had food and were being seen to, so I tried to get the attention of multiple wait staff saying excuse me, please may we order some food? to which we were ignored, one time when the waitress was standing directly next to me and I had asked, she looked directly at me, and walked away. After 1hr15mins I went up to someone and explained how long we had been there and that we wanted to order. She stared at me blankly and another waiter came over and apologised and said they would be over in a second, which in fairness they were. At no point was I rude or hostile, just dejected and sad. We ordered our food and I ordered another pint of beer. We were sitting on a table right next to the bar and I saw the pint I had ordered sit there for 30mins. In the meantime, our food turned up - my fried chicken burger was slimy and not pleasant, I ate half out of hunger and left the rest. The fries were good. My partner enjoyed his Diabolo burger. We asked for the bill almost immediately and someone then brought over the lukewarm beer that had been sitting on the side for over 30mins. I said I did not want it, it had been there for a while and to take it back. We ended up spending $88 for the worst dining experience Ive ever had, let alone on my birthday. I was incredibly upset about this whole thing, Ive never been outright ignored in a restaurant multiple times when just trying to order food. I would not recommend this place to anyone, and will be actively telling people to avoid.

The food was delicious, particularly the grilled chicken and rooster sauce. The atmosphere was also great. The issue here is the service. Our server (Cathy/Kathy) was friendly enough, however each item we received was missing at least one item (Ceasars missing the garnishes, sauce missing with chicken), and we also had to go looking for an extra plate because we were given one side plate between 2 people. The server was non apologetic about all issues and kept trying to take dishes away before we were finished (literally put her hand on the dishes multiple times trying to take them away when they still had food in them). The most uncomfortable part of the meal was when we were using the debit terminal to pay, she stayed hovering over us and said she couldn t leave the terminal with us. Would have been nice to input my card info without her standing over watching. 5 stars for food/ 1 star for service.

I had lunch here today and it was very disappointing. I ordered the pulled pork sandwich, but it was mostly bread with barely any meat. The sourdough bun overpowered the pulled pork. The taquitos were bland and only the habanero sauce made them somewhat better. Food quality and quantity not worth the price. Even though the restaurant was nearly empty, I waited a long time for the check. No one refilled my water or asked how my meal was. Overall, poor food and worse service. Needs serious improvement. Kid-friendliness: Nope. Kids don t have much options.

The atmosphere is great because you can eat while looking at Lake Ontario! Its a great place to have a quick beer in the evening. I ate chili wings and the seasoning was just right and not spicy. The servers were friendly and the food was pretty good! I recommend it as it s a place I want to go again in the future.

I am a complete chicken person. Not exaggeration if I say my life revolves around chicken. I ve always appreciated their service and food. The quality and quantity of their food are perfect. We ordered chicken bao and poutine. The portion size are huge. Their range of beer is amazing and they have something for everyone. Every chicken lover should consider Joe Bird as THE place for every occasion. They have everything chicken.

We ate her for the first time last year on August 26 2023. The atmosphere was awesome. Our server was very genuine and always smiling. Love the atmosphere and the style of the restaurant. Came in randomly and were happy with our last-minute choice. We ordered the pulled pork sandwhich and the J.B. bowl, the food was really good, and the view with the breeze blowing in felt extremely relaxing. Would definitely come again if I wasnt just visiting!

Took one sip and notified the waiter who came back 2 min later saying she couldn t take it back because her machine said the co2 calibration was fine. It wasn t. So I was stuck with a subpar 8$ drink and felt like they just gave me an old drink. Poutine was ok. Good fries although their homemade gravy lacks flavour. Disappointed in the customer service.

This is now our office go-to lunch spot. Food is so good, patio is beautiful with the water and boats, and our server Charlotte is always fantastic :)

Ordered the JB Bowl which came without the miniscule amount of avocado and sour cream as they had forgotten it. The dish had 4 small portions of chicken of around 1 inch long and 1cm thick. The bowl was made up of 80% plain rice. Tasteless and very disappointing. Avoid this place. Other than the view, its not worth visiting

Surprisingly affordable food for such a huge serving, the Bao Bun can serve two. it s so good., even with the samjang mayo, it s not spicy at all.

The grilled chicken at Joe Bird is the best in Toronto, hands down. Absolutely delicious! It saddens me that there isnt more locations, nor a broader menu (Id love to be able to order different quantities of the grilled chicken).

I went there this weekend and the view was really pretty from over there but the service and the food was really bad. We left most of the food and returned one dish because we just couldn t eat it. Then we looked around and everyone was just having drinks and no food so we wondered if people just come here for drinks because the food And the very slow service was not worth 20-25 minutes wait. Even the server was too upfront and rude at end. Vegetarian options: If you are a vegetarian I would never suggest you to go there as it had 2 veg options and those too not something I d like.

We got our seats around 11:30 - 12:00 and got our food at 1:30. Honestly i have never in my lifetime waited that long for food but overall the food was really good but wasnt worth the wait

The food was great. The fried chicken was juicy and tender. The service was a bit slow and they were missing half of their ice cream options.

The food (salad) was fresh and tastefull and the vanilla (unfortuanally they didnt have strawberry anymore) milkshake was very nice, the view is a big plus but the star of the day was our waiter Connor. Good manners, friendly, nice chat and good service. So a great experience.

The customer service and the view was amazing! We had a blonde woman as our server and she was really great. We made sure to leave a generous tip. The food however was not at all good. The poutine tastes horrendous and the food was a little cold. All in all, it was a really great experience and I d definitely come here again but just for the drinks and the incredible view.

My new fav place for brunch in the summer, We really enjoy the lake view. The waffle sandwich with chicken was so yummy, great service, I ask for some hot sauce, and the server offer me mango habanero homemade sauce instead of the typical commercial ones that other restaurants always served. Food

Great location and variety of food and drink. The servers were great, but the table sitter was rude and to be honest an eyesore! He was the rudist person I met in Canada and my advice is he really shouldnt be working in the service industry, maybe in the back where his poor manor and Ill fitting crop top cant be seen by paying clients.

Great experience at Joe Bird. Gorgeous view of the water right on the Harbour front. The food was very good for the price. Eggs were a bit undercooked, but this was the only thing I could have improved. The atmosphere was very pleasant and we were escorted to a nice table in the shade. Wait times were low and we got our food very quickly. Staff was friendly and very attentive. Gluten friendly options were available on their brunch menu for sure. :) Dietary restrictions: Gluten free and vegan options available.

The service it s really slow, take a lot of time for everything, and they only have a 9 tables at this moment. ridiculous be so slow. We paid or bill already and ww still don t have our food.

I would leave zero stars if I could. Worst customer service in (City)! I have never seen such a rude attitude. Ordered breast chicken sandwich and they gave us chicken thigh and insisted that is breast! After talking to at least 4 waiter and waitresses they cancelled the orders! So half of my friends at the table had food and half of them not! The owner did not offer an apology, nor did he offer any other form of compensation. They also got 18% tip included in the bill! This place is a tourist trap!

Ordered kids meal and another separate. Food came fast. kids meal was on point but sumn a lil off with the Diablo.

Come here for the patio, and thats it. The lemonade and sangria were completely lacking sugar and tasted horrible. Also for a place that specializes in chicken be prepared to be very disappointed, it was overcooked, dry, and too salty.

One of a strip of harborfront patio spots in this area. Great view of course, decent seating layout, and entrance from the outside. We enjoyed our drinks, but unfortunately they dont really have appetizers from what I could tell. Didnt order any food. The service was slow, but it was a full house on a holiday weekend, so cant say if thats the norm.

Stopped by for a drink and a bite by the water. Great spot with the friendliest staff and lovely view! Had the chicken and waffles, and the wings, didnt disappoint! Nice breading on the chicken and waffles were nice and fluffy. The ice cream was killer! We had the soft serve and the ice cream sandwhich and if youre ever craving ice cream in the area thats where you wanna go!!

First off the fried chicken was excellent. No faulting it there. Location is great on a good day, perfect patio with parasol coverage and a clear view of the lake. The Belgian waffles taste like theyre preheated and absolutely soaked in sugar. Music is pretty loud and played disco hits. Host was nice, but our server was terrible. Really detracted from the experience.

First time visiting and the last. After being seated by an amazing hostess we were ignored for about 15 min. My partner had to get the bartender to figure out who would serve our table. When we finally ordered and received our food no one ever came back to the table to check on anything. I had to ask a random waitress for help when we wanted to leave after eating the most over priced bland food. If youre into wasting money on flavorless food then youre in the right place. Ive had better food at a bowling alley. We certainly wont be back and will not recommend this place to anyone. Highly disappointed. The only thing it has going for this place is the location.

Each time we go its always busy, so try to make reservations. Without reservations there is a bit of a wait but not extreme. Even while they are busy, the servers are always pleasant and quick to help. The chicken wings I always love....the fried chicken not so much. Overall nice place to have drinks and vibe.

Good food and drinks. Can be a bit packed during the summer months and tourist season but a great option if you want some food / drinks on a patio. The washrooms aren t in the restaurant but they are a short walk away. The drinks used to be a really good value but the prices increased and made it less of a win since you may be spending a lot. They don t let dogs on the patio so I don t recommend bringing pets.

30 min wait to get a table - this is not due to the restaurant being busy, but due to lack of staff. There was one server covering the entire lower patio and one covering the entire upper patio both of which were almost fully occupied. Our food took 45 mins to arrive and came cold. The habanero wings were extremely bland and soggy. Prices are high! $20 for a burger not a fancy/customized burger either! We felt sorry for the servers but later when we went into the restaurant for the washroom, we saw a couple of servers just chilling inside so why weren t they covering the patios?! I have no idea. Clearly, this place needs to be better managed. Not going back ever.

We hosted an impromptu dinner here for about 15 people (all speakers at a conference, many of whom had never met) and they were super accommodating. They set up a great area for everybody in our party to be able to speak with everybody else, and the service was on point. Nikolle, our server was very attentive and helped us come up with a great selection of menu items to satisfy all 15 guest making sure nobody would be excluded for dietary needs. She frequently checked on our group and even though we were probably a fairly large party compared to what s usual at the establishment everything went smoothly and everyone had an excellent time. Nikolle even helped us even out by providing labels and a marker we could use to help facilitate everyone s introductions as people moved between tables. Would happily come here again next year if the conference is hosted in Toronto.

Came by last night for a couple of drinks and a bite. Nikolle and Ben were so pleasant they started a chat with me, while I was waiting, they made my time there very entertaining. I loved the Lemon Pepper wings and my pints of the Absent Landlord. Will definitely be back again.

Great lunch time experience at Joe Birds two weeks ago. Warm enough outside temp. for them to open floor to ceiling sliding glass doors. Still nice and comfy with overhead propane heaters. John, the manager, served us and he was super helpful and friendly. Both my wife and I enjoyed our lunch choices (fried 2-piece chicken w/ sweet potatoes side and J.B. salad bowl w/ pulled chicken). We also shared a wonderful bowl of homemade cream of broccoli soup. Great atmosphere overlooking harbourside promenade, with Lake Ontario & Toronto Islands nearby. I would recommend this restaurant for its food and service. The harbourside location is certainly a nice bonus!

I went late on a very quiet Thursday night. I had the chicken and waffles which was amazing. The staff was also super nice and provided quite the entertaining experience for a quiet night, which made my time at the restaurant quite fun :)

This place RULES! I ve been here twice with separate groups of people. I loved the drinks and the food was sooo good. I usually like burrito bowls and this one did not disappoint and the cornbread was top tier with the butter. Came here twice before two of the best concerts of my life so this place is now a pre-concert ritual.

We went for brunch and drinks this morning and it did not disappoint!!! Our server was super friendly and had a great vibe. We ordered waffles but received pancakes (we were not mad about it at all) but she comped one of our drinks which wasn t necessary but a very nice gesture. The atmosphere in here is AWESOME. I will definitely be coming back to try their lunch/dinner menu. Also very reasonably priced for a restaurant on the water!
