My colleagues and I got the jerk chicken and the oxtail dinners. They were heavy on the rice but light on the meat. It was very flavorful, but just not enough. My one colleague asked for half the items on the menu, but they were all out of stock apparently. There were no diet pops as well. To top it all off, they said that the prices listed were old prices. Then the new prices were quite high for jerk Chicken dinners in my opinion. I would probably try another place when I’m in the area.
I would give this a solid 3.8 / 5. This was authentic Jamaican curry goat. The smell, the colour and the texture were spot on. I like a bit of scotch bonnet with my curry, I wasn’t getting any heat. They do offer cook up veg on the side. I’ll be back to try more items on the menu. My only issue… if it’s Noon, lunch rush, why is there no patty? No plantain? Like I said, I’ll be back, go check them out, authentic Jamaican. If you know, you know.

Apr 2024. Food is good, authentic. had oxtail, stew chicken ( a little too sweet), jerk chicken, and festival. What made this a 11/10 is the atmosphere, music, patrons. If I closed my eyes, I.m transported back to a time when things were just simple and relaxed, not a care in the world. Laughter from patrons, reggae in the background, smell of food cooking. KC is a real Jamaican chef. Miss Sophie, was Sweet, attentive, nice. . Thank you both... I will be back

A small restaurant with seating for 8-10, the decor and table settings were basic but adequate. The food made up for any shortcomings in the venue. The dumplings were hot, moist, and tasty. The fried plantain was sweet and perfectly cooked. For the main course we had four different types of Roti, each a generous portion of meat with vegetables cooked in gravy and wrapped in a soft flatbread. A Dragon Stout rounded out the meal perfectly. Will go back as soon as we can.
Amazing food. All the food is authentic and tastes amazing. They have all the soul food you would ever want. They prepare it in front of you and the atmosphere of the restaurant makes you feel relaxed and at ease as you enjoy your meal. The staff is inviting and cordial. I give them a two thumbs up.

Local small restaurant with authentic Carribean food. Friendly owner, and great location. A few tables for eat in, but feels mostly like a takeout joint. Jerk chicken was decent. Good portions.

Over the last few days Ive been coming here everyday and trying many of their different dishes like, braised oxtail, jerk chicken, fish soup, cow food soup, etc and they are all so fantastic. Really great home cooked style food made by great people. I can literally eat here everyday.

I had the beef and potato soup on the first cold day this year and it warmed me up like a good bowl of soup should.

Got cow foot soup, just huge bones, cartilage, corn and potatoes. Broth tastes good but waste of money. Then the lady behind the counter doesnt even ring when up at the cash register and just says I owe 20, like she did the tax in her head. Place has gone down hill

Excellent, delicious, fresh food. I am very picky about where I buy my West Indian food since I truly believe I can make it better.. KC proves me wrong. Its the only place I go to to take a load off while still enjoying amazing Caribbean cuisine. His escovitch fish is the absolute best!
Total hidden gem! The best jerk chicken in Toronto-extremely flavourful & juicy. The roti is very good, so is the oxtail, and the ackee& salt fish. As far as West Indian food in Toronto, this is the best.

I was working next door to this restaurant and decided to try the food one Saturday evening. I am very picky with the west Indian food I eat and where I get it from. I ordered a small oxtail with rice and peas, the gentleman serving the food was very kind, however the other employees working didnt give me a good or welcoming vibe. I read all reviews on this location before writing this because I really wanted to give a higher review because the food was good.

I was greatly disappointed today eating at this establishment, as I was harassed by another customer whom was a Male. I kept trying to be super polite in refusing drinks that were being offered, and the persistence was ongoing for quite awhile, with owner looking on doing absolutely nothing to stop this. I eventually had to get up and leave the establishment without completing my white wine spritzer. It was very disrespectful and boundaries were crossed and I will never return to this establishment nor will I recommend it to anyone, as it is the owners duty and responsibility to ensure customers are not harassed by other customers.
The jerk chicken was moist and good, I hate dry jerk chicken and I hate too saucy jerk as well, this was a perfect middle ground. Goat roti: the curry was delicious and perfectly cooked but the roti skin could be softer and better done, then again Jamaicans are not know for their roti. Spicy shrimp appetizer was flavorful. Will order food again. Prices were good. Wish they had dessert though.

I enjoy everything about KC restaurant. Everytime i go there the owner and staff are all friendly the food is fresh every day and its delicious. I highly recommend this restaurant to others looking for some good Caribbean food.
Love this place! I visit here at least once a week. The jerk chicken is always amazing and moist. The food seems to be pretty fresh too. The chef is always friendly and welcoming.
