2976 Lake Shore Blvd W, Toronto, ON M8V 1J9, Canada
British restaurant in New Toronto with a large outdoor patio, offering brunch, lunch, dinner drinks daily with live music on Wednesdays and buck a shuck oysters on Thursdays. Traditional roast dinner every Sunday. Kitchen closes at 9pm
Great atmosphere, friendly service, innovative menu, and the food is perfectly seasoned, cooked and presented. R very well priced, too. I had the Chicken & Waffles, which were heavenly, my companion thoroughly enjoyed the fish and chips. Don't miss the Scotch egg, it's outstanding. I'll absolutely be back.
The brunch spot of your dreams. Staff are lovely every time, the food is outrageously good. The pork belly Benedict with half chips and half salad is my go to. Their coffee is decent and the room is rustic but clean. Love it here!
If you are into modern/elevated English pub food for dinner or brunch this is your place Kitchen on Sixth Restaurant on Lake Shore Blvd West in Mimico, Toronto, Ontario, Canada. The service and food are always top notch and I can always work my way through the menu to find a gluten free item or two. I had the pan fried sole with seasonal vegetables - wow wow wow. My guest had the mashed potatoes - perfection. She loves carbs - this is the place! We’ve been going here for 5+ years and it never disappoints. See you again soon. With gratitude, Chris >
This place has one of the best chicken and waffles I have ever had. Was not sure at first if the inclusion of blueberries would dampen the taste and flavour but I was pleasantly surprised with how it helped elevate the dish. Also recommend the pork belly Benedict and the omelette.
Kitchen on Sixth in Lake Shore Blvd W is a fantastic dining spot. The menu boasts fresh, flavorful dishes expertly prepared. The cozy ambiance and attentive service make for an exceptional experience. Perfect for any occasion, it’s a must-visit for delicious food and a welcoming atmosphere. Highly recommended!
Came by for a quick meal. We sat at the patio, it was fairly quiet for a weekend. Their outdoor patio is very nice. We got the fish and chips. The seasoned chips were absolutely delicious. The service was great. I’ll definitely be back to try their dinner menu
Decided to stop in and try their brunch. Everything was amazing! Can't speak highly enough. The staff was so friendly and informative. We were quickly seated and provided a high chair. Very attentive and the food was just so delicious. We could not stop eating until we devoured everything off our plates. Even my toddler loved it and she is a very picky eater. We can't wait to come back! My favorite was definitely the chicken and waffles.
I recently had the pleasure of dining at Kitchen on Sixth for breakfast, and it was a delightful experience! The ambiance was warm and inviting, the staff was friendly, and the menu offered a fantastic array of delicious options. From a full English Breakfast to perfectly brewed coffee, every dish was a culinary delight. The attention to detail in presentation and the use of fresh, high-quality ingredients truly set this restaurant apart. I highly recommend Kitchen on Sixth for anyone looking to start their day with a delicious and satisfying breakfast.
Chicken and waffles were great, nice atmosphere for the neighbourhood and came at a good quiet time in the afternoon.
Great food and service!
Top tier
Really enjoyed this spot. They have great english style brunch items. We both got half english, one with bangers and one vegetarian with beans. Service was good and the interior was cozy and christmas-y
My Son and I had lunch!! Marley was our Waitress!! She was FANTASTIC!! Tell Her Anthony sent you!!
$4 Mimosas and Tasty food :)
5/5 The staff were friendly, the restaurant was esthetically pleasing and the food was delicious
Great resto in the neighbourhood! Beautiful patio, wonderful and accommodating staff who are patient with our toddler.
Quite little place. Nice vibes. Music was not loud. I could converse easily. Small but wholesome selection of items on the menu. Will go again. Parking available in relative abundance.
We had an amazing breakfast! Got the chicken and waffles and a side of fries! The waffles were a burst of flavors. All the sauces were complementing each other!! The atmosphere was also great, but we decided to eat by the lake and had best experience.
The food, the service and the atmosphere was good Id definitely recommend this place. Food
Wow just the most deliciously delightful place in all of the worlds places. Love doggos so plus +10000
This spot completely blew my expectations. The food & service were great and the price & portions were on point! The chicken and waffles lives up to the hype! We ll definitely be back to try more items on the menu. Keep up the awesome work! Parking: Free street parking on Sunday.
Food was excellent, serving staff were exemplary
Fatogasmorgic
Limited unusual memu.
Tasty food, lovely staff, $4 mimosas for brunch?? Can t go wrong here!
Great happy hour offerings
I like it there
Nice place for breakfast
My first time trying chicken and waffles and it did not disappoint! So delicious and the perfect balance of sweet and savory
Decent food , good atmosphere. Food is definitely British-based with alot of pork based items and minimal substitutions.
5 star all around service!!!
This is a great place to be. Everyone was amazing. I had a great first experience that kept me visiting again. I would greatly recommend it if you live on Lakeshore or anytime you re around.
Food is delicious. Full English is a must try. Great portions, outdoor patio is great with plenty of shade, service is responsive and friendly, girlfriend loves the mimosas. Highly recommend for a great brunch out
Nice place, good portions. The inside seating was very loud, so we sat outside. It was nice but the tables could use umbrellas for shade.
Great service,awesome food
Loved everything. Going back soon. Great food great people. Top shelf. Food : 5/5 |
Kitchen on the Sixth is our go-to spot for family brunch! The staff is super friendly, and the food is always delicious. We love the vibe and the great variety on the menu. Highly recommend!
Awesome food and amazing owner. Jenny does so much for the community and they make some awesome food! If you haven t tried it definitely worth a visit as it is a real gem of South Etobicoke!
Friendly service, amazing food, and a good vibe. Our favourites are the Full English Breakfast and Scotch Egg. A great place for brunch and cocktails.
Incredible options, artisanal beverages crafted with perfection and delicious food that tastes like Sundays at grammas house . Servers with awesome attitudes are an added bonus in today s climate. 10/10 recommend
Hours are inaccurately listed, not open until after 10am on Saturdays Edited Response to Owner : yes we came by at 10am on Saturday and doors were locked and open sign off. Unless your address is inaccurately listed on maps as well Food : 1/5
everything looks amazing, I had the burger and I loved it :) I had a mocktail which I didn t like, tasted just like water, but everything else was amazing. Food : 5/5
Pride of Lakeshore Village, and the uncut gem of Toronto. Any meal any occasion Kitchen on Sixth does not miss. Amazing burger, huge portions and deep menu with pub classics made at the highest quality. Very lucky to live in the neighbourhood this is my watering hole from now on Wheelchair accessibility: Theres a ramp
Love this place! We will be back
We had brunch here, and the food was absolutely spectacular
Enjoyed the food and service.
We went for my Birthday, primarily for the Beef Tartar on Bone Marrow and it didnt disappoint! It was amazing!!! Also the Pork Belly sandwich was great. No offer for coffee or dessert, not even as a birthday treat. Eventually we had to flag the staff down for the bill, there were only 2 tables in the restaurant. Food
Good place, very quite, great atmosphere, and food was very decent, but such a compact list of what you can get here.. We will come back, but overall there is space for menu development
Great
Food was excellent. Service was awful. The server was rude and basically ignored us after I asked for our coffees after waiting. Unacceptable.
Got the pork belly and apple butter eggs Benedict for brunch here and a chai latte. The chai latte was not a mix, but a chai tea bag mixed in with the milk so you really don t taste much of the chai flavour, just cold milk. The eggs Benedict were good but I didn t really find much of the apple butter on it.
Sunday roast dinner is amazing.
Lovely restaurant with a very tasty food and quick service. My wife and I went there to celebrate her birthday, we have ordered what s shown in the pictures. We do not regret, despite the area this restaurant isn t too busy.
Great food and service. Friendly staff. Clean and nice washroom, try the full English Breakfast! Vegetarian options: Mushroom on Toast was good. Fries delicious!
Fair enough I didn t really think of emailing just my 2 cents you guys are still great !! The food is absolutely delicious, every single time. But the barista side of things really needs some attention .it s an excellent espresso machine & it seems like no one knows how to use it, & trust me I feel so bad saying this but every time I have ordered a latte, whether I ask for single / double / small size / or whatever, it always comes out tasting like a weak americano with a little milk added. If someone could be brought in to train the servers on the espresso machine & the diff types of barista coffees it would make such an enormous difference
Good food and service for great prices
Fantastic little hidden gem of Etobicoke!
Yum.
Great little spot. I had the burger and one (if not the best) burger I have ever had, and I have had a lot! I love the option of having a 1/2 and 1/2 side . Half fries and half salad, I have never seen that anywhere before!. The fries were a tad too salty is my only minus but not enough to discount any ratings.
Always a nice treat dining here.
We need more places like this. This is what makes a neighbourhood - a local resto/bar serving interesting comfort food with a great drink selection all at fair prices.
We had french toast and peameal eggs benedict. The food is delicious! French toast is thick and fluffy. The ricotta cream and berry compote tasted light and flavorful. Eggs beni are cooked to perfection. Highly recommend for brunch! Food
Food, Service and Atmosphere. It has it all. And guess what! The staff works like brothers and sisters. Just like we do in a FAMILY. Now: my thoughts, It s a place where time practically stops, Only if you don t look at the clock. JUST A VEGAN SHARING MY IDEAS. Coz nowadays sharing food is not enough.
Food is incredible! So nice inside too! Love this spot for brunch and excited to try dinner here.
Took the family for a lovely weekend brunch. The food, atmosphere and service were amazingly. Would highly recommend.
This is a great little hidden gem on Lakeshore. Thursdays they have dollar oysters. Food is fabulous, service is great. Highly recommend!
Very great location and vibes are good perfect for a first date, service may be a bit slow but it is because they are understaffed and it could be difficult to find parking other than that everything else was great
Good food good service
The portions are great for the value and they have amazing fries. Definitely recommend choosing those as a side!
Came here for brunch (way too late ), so I was faced with the dinner menu. Though I couldn t get the salmon eggs Benedict I wanted, I got their Stuffed Yorkie- it s like a poutine but British. They take a Yorkshire pie, and top it with fries, beef, cheese, gravy etc. I couldn t finish it- it s a large portion! You re getting bread and potatoes in one dish after all! So yes it s a bit pricey, but honestly you get a meal and a snack out of it. It s also a lot in the sense of taste. They have their sauce, their blue cheese, their beef all together. It s not a bad thing, tastes insanely good, but you can get tired of it I think. Took the rest home and enjoyed it at another time :) The meat was really soft- melted in my mouth quite frankly. Fries were well seasoned, and the Yorkshire was soft and crunchy and complimented the fries really well. The staff was really friendly- and the atmosphere was nice too. It s near the lake- I suggest taking a walk there to clear your stomach a bit after. Thank you for having me! I d love to go back for brunch soon!
Stopped in here while driving through Etobicoke - I think the restaurant was great overall and the staff were very friendly and nice however the location was a little tight to sit inside and the Breakfast Yorkie which I tried seemed a little bit expensive for what seemed like a majority of the meal was beans. Definitely will try again may just change what I get on the menu!
Good cocktail, but I ordered masala tofu, the nan bread that came with it was not fresh made, very dry, expected to be better.
Cute diner with innovative menu. Employees were friendly as well. Only complain is that the table at the entrance gets cold in the winder since the glass wall isnt insulated.
A local gem for years now. We first started visiting them when they we actually on Sixth and in a smaller location. Food is good and staff are very friendly. Can get quite busy on the weekend so a reservation is probably a good idea. Good for going out with friends or a date night. Parking: Usually not a problem to find street parking.
This place is amazing. The service, atmosphere and food! Totally worth the wait to get in which to be honest was not long. I don t know how I have never been here before! This is differently my new go to place for brunch but I m also going to try dinner with my friends in a few weeks!
Had a great brunch there on a Saturday. The food is served nice and fresh. The bangers are amazing and definitely some of the best we ve had in this part of the world. The portion sizes are perfect for one. Looking forward to going there for their Sunday roast next.
Best and most authentic full English breakfast I have had in the GTA till date. It is a bit expensive but the quality is top notch. Special mention of the bangers, really amazing sausages.
We ordered orange juice , pineapple juice , Tikka Masala and Shrimp Popstrickers. They took a long time to prepare. Tikka Masala was certainly not up to par. Rice tasted a little funny. My friend found only 1 shrimp in shrimp popstickers. Rest all were different kind of meat. We asked them to confirm if it s really shrimp , they came back and said it s shrimp , it s just that it looks different when soy sauce is added. Even when the shrimp was chopped apart, it still looked like dark meat, whereas shrimp is supposed to be whiteish - pink inside. There was something off about the juice too.
Friendly staff and great atmosphere. Food didnt take long and was fanatic. Perfect portion.
The great place
While the (interestingly, all-male) front of house staff seemed a little frazzled under pressure, the value and relative quality of the food made for a good night out. Would recommend! Plus theyre the only true buck-a-shuck around, now thats something!
Got the full English and the stuffed Yorkie! It was really good and teniah and Marley were great! Wouldl recommend to friends.
This place is great if you enjoy waiting over an hour for lukewarm food and mediocre coffee.
Service and food were absolutely amazing! Best grilled cheese that I have ever had!! My friend had the chicken and waffles and couldnt stop raving about it. We will be back!!
Great vibe, friendly service, delicious drinks, and Buck-a-schuck on Thursdays. But what I love most is that their Bone Marrow already comes with Beef Tartare on top! When looking for a restaurant, having bone marrow and beef tartare on the menu is one of my requirements, so I can do exactly that. Thats why this is one of my favorite places to eat!
Great brunch spot with massive portions and delicious food. I had the huevos rancheros and it was a 10/10, with an espresso martini weekends can get real busy, so getting a table might be a wait, but its worth it.
Very delicious food . So fresh and tasty. Service was great and waitress so kind They have oyster Thursday and taco Tuesday. Will be coming back here soon
My husband and I went for the buck-a-shuck special on Thursdays. We also got the beef tartare. We really enjoyed it! Highly recommend. Well be back often.
Amazing food
Love their food!
Absolutely delish food. Brunch is their speciality for sure
Had such an amazing time having our family reunion here. Marley was so accommodating with our group of six, the staff are always super kind and food great as always!
So I won some meat pies at the charity fundraiser from Kitchen On Sixth. Went to pick them up and the restaurant itself was so cute and charming. Megan, the girl that was working there, was so sweet. Got 2 beef pot pies and 2 beef & cheddar pot pies. They looked pretty unassuming so I stuck them in my freezer. Fast forward, heated one of the beef pot pies up tonight (according to the directions) and it took me back to my junior high school days growing up in North York. The cafeteria always served meat pies with fries & gravy and throughout the years nobody could ever duplicate them - everyone loved them! I know, school cafeteria but, trust me, this is a good thing! It was light, flaky, buttery, savory and obviously made with love. Check them out!
So the fact that the restaurant is attacking people for their comments is really unsavory. A group of is went for brunch on a Sunday - it was not busy, to say the least: The food was ok barely warm, service was basic and we felt like we were being rushed. Dont get any mixed drinks its watered down. The best value is the French toast .
Incredible food and great service. There is a Green P for parking behind the restaurant, super convenient.
Has an amazing menu with a great selection of food. The food was delicious, best beef tartare Ive ever had
Went on a whim and the food was fantastic. The sunny side eggs were perfectly cooked and the ham was chewy yet soft. Service is top-notch.
Exceptional brunch! There s usually a wait so plan ahead.
Good customer service
Great vibe, great smiles, great food!! Everytime
Great food, excellent service, nice atmosphere for conversation
What an amazing find. My friend and I have dinner out at least once a month and usually she comes down town to my neighborhood as she hasnt found too many places near her in Etobicoke. Lucky for us, I was in her area and asked her if we could try this place (I had seen it in Toronto Life). We were happy to discover it was taco and margarita night ..yay!!! so I ordered a beef taco and the beef tartare. My friend had the fish and chips. OMG the beef taco was so amazing I ordered 3 more to go to take home for my husband, the beef tartare was served on a bone marrow canoe!!!!!!!! - I didnt think it could get any better - UNTIL I tried my friends fish and chips. Seriously the best fries Ive ever had and the fish was outstanding. The portions were very generous and the margaritas were amazing. We had two lovely servers Mimi and another super friendly girl whose name escapes me. We are already planning our next night out there and of course it will be on a Tuesday. Please check this place out you will not be disappointed. I saw the poutine and the stuffed Yorkshire at our neighbors table and OMG I want to try everything. Until next time.......
Came for Brunch and ordered the chicken and waffles. When receiving it it had a hard shell and the chicken inside did not look appetizing. It was bland and did not taste good at all. When speaking to waitress she looked shocked at our complaint and said it has been a staple. She then left and did not even try to accommodate us. The pear and beet salad was good. Not good service. Another couple that sat next to us, that s a regular said the food quality has been going down.
The one star is for the mimosa and half of the pear and beet salad my friend and I ordered. The chicken and Waffles was so bland! No salt at all! The chicken had a rancid taste to it as if it wasnt washed properly or it was sitting in the heat and starting to spoil. The batter also fell right off the chicken so we basically had bland chicken with a side of fried batter. When we told the server, she dismissed our concern saying that it was a staple item at the restaurant and she didnt know what to tell us. It wasnt even taken off our bill! The pear and beet salad was ok. The beets are pickled which I wasnt a huge fan of and the walnuts are candied which was never mentioned. So... we basically paid $53.00 for a salad and 6oz mimosa. We were kind enough to give the server a 2% tip for just tending to us, but I highly recommend finding another place to eat. An elder couple beside us said they are regulars at the restaurant but the past few times theyve been going they recognized the quality decreasing. They will not be returning and nor will we!
Very nice setting and tasty food with a great service. Oh yeah, I will be back for more.
This place has, hands down THE BEST eggs Benedict in Toronto. The mustard seeds added on the English muffin elevate this dish! Also, the breakfast potatoes are next level! Everything about this dish is amazing. I have yet to find a better eggs Benedict.
Good brunch place. Good options for vegetarians. We did not have to wait too long for a table. The service was good and food was good.
Food is unique and delicious. Little bit salty for my case - Had breakfast poutine. Hope the serving and general floor management can improve in a light of first come, first serve fairness base, when i visit next. Although the atmosphere was cozy and warm, the background music was too loud for the place.
Wonderful food, good service.
Solid burger
High quality food, not expensive and Good service. Food
The food was amazing! I had the Stuffed Yorkie
Not bad, Grilled Cheese is Exceptional
Great vibe and food quality. The prices are a tad on the expensive side, and the last time we went we found eggshells in our food. Servers are pleasant, and generally a good experience. Seating is very limited, especially during peak hours.
There should be a sign on the door that says no kids allowed. We showed up as a family, and were told that we couldnt sit at a table because there was a reservation in an hour, but it would only be 15-20 minutes to put another couple tables together as people leave. So we gave them our number, and waited outside. After waiting 45 minutes and seeing several people leave, I went in to check on timing. They claimed that when the table was ready they couldnt find us so they gave the tables away and would be booked up for the rest of the night and no they didnt call). Its unfortunate, weve been loyal customers for years, both for personal and business occasions. I would have rated only one star for the occasion, but I know this restaurant is otherwise great. Kid-friendliness: Not at all.
TERRIBLE STAFF. we went inside and it was too busy, the hostess took our number and said she will call us when there is a table. Then, when tables were available, she did not call us and told us she couldnt find us. We. Were. Right. Outside. She didnt care to look for us then lied about it and didnt call us like she said she would. She simply just gave away our seats and wanted us out and making excuses of why we cannot stay and eat. We had 2 toddlers with us and had to wait 45 minutes outside with them hungry and waiting
Good place for British grub
Amazing service from Liam and Marlee very impressed with the food and service Excellent so far hope they can maintain this high standard Now i have to include Olivia really another stellar performing staff Thank you Olivia great job
Nice restaurant and good service. A but small on the inside so it can get crowded, but a nice patio in the summer. Great food and drink options! Highly recommend.
Lovely staff, awesome service.
Food was amazing, very tasty! Drinks..good but sell rose by the glass please! A+ for a local eatery. Thank you Bloc + Mane for the recommendation!!
Very delicious. Second time there. Will definitely be a third.
The place looks great the food looks great...but the food is really really salty! Also Ill skip the chai...maybe its English styled chai? Its all milk and no kick. Really wish they would improve on the taste cause aesthetically they got it.
Food was hot and delicious!!!!!!! Marley was amazing!!!!! So sweet! It was our first time here and the food was quick and the place was very clean we definitely will be back
Breakfast was amazing!!!
Great spot in a nice neighbourhood. Friendly staff and food was great.
First time here, great atmosphere, friendly staff and very yummy food
Cute, local brunch spot. Good food, good prices!
Really enjoyed brunch there!
I always go for brunch on weekends here and I really enjoy my food and the ambience of the place. Definitely my go to especially on a budget it s also child friendly too
The meal was delicious! It was an awesome atmosphere, the drinks were so good and I loved having the half / half option for salad and fries. The food was literally so good. I would definitely recommend.
Great spot. I didnt know what to expect. It was lunch and I ate a wonderful grilled cheese with fries and caesar salad. The portions are big. The salad needed more but I enjoyed my meal.
Delicious!
Been here twice great English breakfast .staff friendly and helpful Parking: Street parking only Food : 5/5 |
Friendly spot with high quality pub fare and large portions!
Loved the breakfast!
Beautiful, cute, quaint, cozy restaurant with a fantastic vibe. Super friendly wait staff & delicious food. Highly recommend! Enjoy! Vegetarian options: Plenty of veggie options to choose from!
Great food and friendly staff! The Huevos Rancheros is incredible.
First time, also my last trying for oyster specials on Thursday. I wouldn t recommend this restaurant to my circle. I waited for at least 15 minutes, although there were available tables. The server kept walking by without acknowledging our presence (although the restaurant is quite small). We were totally ignored, only and until I brought up the issue. If you weren t ready to take in the customers, do not advertise the specials on Thursdays . We are not here begging for free food. While I was seated, I noticed other customers did not seem to have the same issue of being ignored like us Was it because we were the only non-white customers? There are many other much better restaurants out there that offer buck-a-shuck . The oysters themselves, although are offered only $1, are totally not worthy for our time. I came for the experience and the services, not for the buck-a-shuck oysters. I ate only 3, because they were below standards. As a successful business owner myself, my thought to Kitchen On Sixth is to keep in mind that if you aim to attract more customers with this trick, with little or no prep, you will probably lose more. P.S. In response to Mr. Owner here: First and foremost, what are the reviews for? Aren t the reviews the true feedbacks from the customers/consumers about the experience they had with the business? In other words, writing an unbiased review is a customer s privilege, isn t it? The fact that I did not have a pleasant experience at Kitchen On Six, am I encouraged to write a five star review on here for Kitchen On Six? I was courteous to give a 3 star, but not one star Further, the reviews are for the business to be acknowledged and improved. If you, as an Owner, are not prepared to take in the not so positive reviews while running your own business (especially in food industry), then you are definitely in the wrong path. In conclusion, your response to a customer s review herein speaks for itself. Please keep in mind that your response is publicly viewed by the existing/potential customers, and you also represent the image of Kitchen On Sixth. My suggestion to you is to hire a manager who is highly trained in customer services. Alternatively, educate yourself if you can t afford one.
Food is beyond incredible. Ive never had anything less that extraordinary. Very much reccomend the Sunday roast.
Great lunch spot, good food, interesting menu and lovely staff. The menu description is better than the actual food, but it was good, not great. Would go again Dietary restrictions: I think they are flexible and there were options on the menu for vegan Kid-friendliness: Casual and friendly
Great place, had the full English and it was very filling. Good vibe inside and good service.
Had the roast beef dinner which is the Sunday special. It was so good. My mouth is watering thinking about it. Cant wait to get it again. Even the mashed potatoes are amazing. Also scotch egg appetizer was bomb.
Brought my 2.5yr old daughter here out of hunger and proximity. Turned out to be a great decision! Great staff, great food, reasonable pricing and within minutes we were rockin out to classic 80s music. Great place. Kid-friendliness: Staff was great with my lil girl.
Good price, excellent food, amazing service!
Cutest little breakfast spot. Driven by lots and finally decided to explore. Stylish esthetic and the espresso martini was fabulous. Highly recommend if you want all the city vibes packed into a breakfast
My first time, I had a lovely lunch with my friend. Staff was courteous and friendly. They have a great outdoor patio, as well as an open restaurant area.
I ve had brunch, dinner and the $1 oysters on Thursdays. The food has always been delicious and the service great. The pineapple mimosas are delish too! Love this spot in Etobicoke.
Delicious food! And great service. Thank you!! See you soon
Great place, presentation, wish it did not have too much mustard in egg benedict and mushroom toast
If you want to get your meal quickly don t come here. This was the worst customer service I have ever experienced. We had to wait over an hour and a half for our dinner and we needed to continuously ask them to refill our drinks because they weren t even paying attention to us. People who came after us got served before us and it seems like we were totally ignored. When we brought it up to our waitress she seemed totally offended and not apologetic at all. They kept on saying how they were busier then usual but they only had a few tables. We asked for our bill but they said they will give us a free dessert for our long wait but that took 30 minutes and it didn t even come. Then we asked for our bill again and they only comped us the cheapest meal to make up for it. Again don t come here if you want your food fast.
I used to love this restaurant but my last visit was a terrible experience. The staff were great but the food was terrible. The beef in the Sunday roast was unseasoned and rubbery. We won t be going back.
A classic example of an owner who doesnt care. Clearly theyre just into this place to park cash; no actual passion for food or service. Unstaffed kitchen and front-of-house. I feel bad for the servers. Warm red wine. Overcooked steak that sits in your stomach like a sack of lead, accompanied by giant chunks of boiled carrot and Brussels sprouts. The fries were good, but when youre $90 in for three people with a single drink, they dont make up for it. Oh well. Hopefully well see something better replace it soon.
Oysters were good, but as it was Thursday Buck A Shuck night, there was a bit of a wait. Try the pineapple mimosa! Mark added to the experience.
Amazing food. Wanted to go here for a while and managed finally to do lunch on a weekday. Had the Chicken waffle, which was the best I ve ever had. Was quite busy for lunch and the place was full. Parking: Parking available on both sides of the road and also on side roads.
My husband and I came here for Sunday brunch this morning. Super quick service and everything was great. We didn t wait long at all for a table or for our food - or basically anything else. Efficient but not rushed or frenetic. My British husband was very pleased with his Yorkshire pudding and my full English was excellent. Great mocktails too. Nice ambiance. We will definitely be back.
I went for my birthday party and it was a wonderful experience. They were helpful at ensuring I was able to include all my guests on one table. The food was rich, delicious and plentiful. The place smelled great too (had to make a note of that). Its just a great place.
Really great service is a really cute space - good food and choices. Really enjoyed the samosa poutine. Didn t love the live music which felt overwhelming in the smaller space. Will definitely be back!
Very nice place for Saturday brunch unfortunately too fare for me to get here on weekdays, the menue is promicing. Thank you for my grate mornibg
I ordered up a roast beef dinner and loved it. I think we ve found our local .
Sad. This used to be an amazing restaurant. I just paid 75 dollars for frozen French fries, warm Guinness, and really meh service. Ive watched them struggle with service. Management. Menu selection. Every time Ive gone in the last year the menu and staff are different, and not an improved version. Im a huge fan of supporting local small businesses, but this now feels like Im handing money to someone to treat me badly. Server was lovely, but ill equipped. Have given this place multiple chances to get it right, but having the server claim frozen fries were hand cut and other misinformation, sadly Im done.
Don t even bother heading anywhere else!! This place is the jewel of Mimico!!!!!
5out of 6 meals came, they forgot one meal but the waiter was nice enough to say he was sorry and that he was not charging for the that meal. When he gave us the bill he said he add the tip which I thought was not right especially that he gave himself a 20% tip. We won t be back thanks to that.
The sunday roast is worth visiting. A popular favourite in the Etobicoke community. The sunday roast consists of juicy beef, Yorkshire pudding, smashed potatoes and veggies. The beef was delicious and juicy. The veggies were standard veggies. The smashed potatoes were good, was a nice texture. Portions were certainly filling that you may take some leftovers home. This is only available past 4pm on Sundays. Overall, had a splendid time at Kitchen on Sixth. The place is a bit small but great for more intimate meals. A great spot for once in awhile date night spot. I would come back again!
Popped into this hidden(from me at least)gem early Saturday morning - tried the Half English breakfast and added some baked beans (in hindsight I probably could have eaten the full English but it was still early!) Delicious food, amazing beans and fries, friendly service and a cozy feeling. Would definitely come back again!
Hidden gem in south Etobicoke
Very cute place for a drink or dinner. Had to do some work, place has wifi and outlets available. Very nice vibe, will return again ! Parking: Parking is outside the restaurant on the street
Trash!!!!
Kitchen on 6th has secured its place as my favourite dining spot in the area. Inviting atmosphere, cute patio, quality menu.
It was my first time trying this restaurant and I must say it was phenomenal! I will definitely be back. Friendly atmosphere, amazing food, and great service from Robert! I was blown away with how the food tasted. I support small businesses over mainstream restaurants anyday! The menu wasnt too big which I really liked because it shows they really care for their dishes.
The food here is great and its a little bit a taste of British food
Ive ridden past here so many times on my motorcycle and never noticed this place till now. Absolutely glad I finally did. Came here for brunch and got the full english.
