Edit: 2 stars to 4 stars. The owner Ben reached out advising the company is in the midst of updating the pictures to not include the pink cabbage. He offered a free Bao from the location of my choosing and the quality was good per the usual. Therefore, I have revised my rating due to the great customer service from the owner and as they are remedying the misrepresentation in their images for sale. I went here on a weekday for lunch for the spicy pork Bao based on what I saw pictured online. When I went to order the staff took their time and was not the most friendly. When I inquired about if the pickled cabbage was included they said it was only what was in the description and the picture were incorrect. I double checked as daikon and cabbage are quite similar and perhaps they made a mistake. They clarified it was not included. I asked if it was possible to add the pickled cabbage as pictured and I would pay however much to have it added. This is when the staff member started getting snippy with me. As I paid and walked away she said under her breath "it was just a picture". In reality this is false marketing and I find it infuriating that they charge $7 for an item not as pictured. There are plenty of other Bao restaurants in the path and I really feel like I wasted my money here instead of supporting another store who actually wants my business. The staff need some training on customer service and the marketing photos need to be updated. I'm happy to revise my review to add back some stars if that happens as the food served here is quite good otherwise.
I ordered the beef bulgogi with the glass noodles. The dish was hot and tasted fresh. Service was very prompt and good portion sizes. I have been looking to try this place for awhile now but never get there before they close because they do close I believe around 3 and twice I’ve come at they were packing up everything just before 3
Tried the beef bulgolgi bowl, which was decently filling given the amount of food included. The meal came with a healthy amount of vegetables, and the bulgolgi was cooked just right. Most items were served fresh as well. Overall, would look to try their other options such as their Poke Bowls or other Korean Bowls if they are as filling.
I ordered from Uber “Build Your Own Poke Bowl” and two Bao Buns. I’ve to admit that Buns were delicious. As for the poke bowl, since I love to order bowls, I'm used to the fact that the fish is always fresh, but at this place ☝️🐟 the tuna and salmon had a stale taste and even some kind of viscous and oily. This made me very worried. Also, the amount of nori in my dish was like a joke, there was very little of it, like a pinch of salt (I paid extra $1 for that).
I have tried all of their bowls and they are simply delicious. The photo is the spicy pork bowl and like it said it was delicious. I frequent this spot for lunch during the week. They are always so friendly and quick! Highly recommend!
I started to feel it is a little random, but it is good to try it every now and then… I tried the salmon/tuna mix this time An update: Second time to eat there - as of today 26 of May: I ordered the classic salmon plate as recommended… the mix is not good and food wasn’t fresh… the taste of pineapple and green beans is irritating and Irrelevant to the mix … I asked for purple rice and noodle as a base and this was not the best neither First time to eat there … so I was faced with too many choices… I ordered the veggie platter, most of the ingredients was unknown to me but it was a Good mix anyways… it was lunch time and there was a long line up so I didn’t feel at ease to ask many questions … main component is avocado 🥑 which it had plenty of it in my plate Veggie is my favorite for now as I haven’t tried anything else 🤷🏼♂️
Lacking flavor and basic poke. Nothing special. The Hot mix has kimchee and the flavor makes no sense at all. I love kimchee but it’s lacking. The other nearby poke places all outshine this. I got major attitude from the assembly nice girl when I asked for a few different toppings. She looked at my like I was ruining her vibe because I had a question. I get that she is trying to go fast - but it’s my first time and I literally just wanted to add a bit of extra toppings!! Terrible customer service. It’s only getting 3 star because it failed at least two of the criterion: flavor, customer service. Manager should help the team Tighten up the attitudes!
I like their salmon with purple rice poke bowl. It could taste better if the pineapple were more on the sweeter side rather than sour. The portions for bulgogi were decent and filling. Close to King TTC subway station. It's a little pricey but unique offerings and choices for a food court stall.
This is my favorite KOHA around downtown Toronto. Food is always fresh and the staff are courteous
Ordered spicy pork rice bowl with hot mix (mixed salmon and tuna) add on. Did not get any of the salmon or tuna.
Concerned about the cleanliness of store. Found hair in my food (see photo)
Highly recommend the bulgogi beef bao! This location holds a special place in my heart because it was my go-to lunch spot during my first internship. Mouthwatering goodness!
SOOOOO GOOD!!! definitely recommend if you want a filling and healthy meal. i had the panko organic tofu and it was delicious. 10/10 recommend!!!
Good vegan options quality ingredients
BBQ chicken was excellent.
Ive been to this location over 10 times in the last few months with no issue but today I received the most unprofessional customer service. I ordered what I always do: the spicy mix but with the Ahi Tuna base. The server that took my order understood what I wanted but when she passed my bowl down to the employee that dishes out the toppings, there was some confusion which I tried to clear up politely. As I was explaining my order to the girl with the toppings, another employee emerged from behind her and rudely asked me what was wrong. I repeated my order again and was told well that s what she s doing to which I responded that it wasn t because she was putting toppings on my order that I didn t want. I tried a third time to explain what I wanted to both of these employees and was cut off by an exasperated oh my god and eye roll from the toppings girl. This is when I lost my patience and left for a different place where I would be better served. Employees can make or break a business and these two together should not be allowed at the front counter if they can t keep their attitude in check.
Ahi Tuna bowl is great!
Love the fresh food and the friendly staff. One of my lunchtime favourites for sure.
Fast online orders
Out of all the bowls Ive eaten so far, the beef bowl was my favourite. They made my food incredibly quickly and the food was really good.
Im a regular, weekly I order their classic salmon bowl. Love it
I tried the bao buns at Koha. They are simply amazing. the portion is pretty decent for the price. Also, I really liked the customer service. Everybody was super nice and polite. Looking forward to try more food from the restaurant.
Love the food and the staff are nice! 11/10
BBQ Chicken is absolutely amazing, the price is reasonable. The services are also friendly and polite.I will definitely be back again. Highly recommended
I discovered Koha about 2 years ago and have been a customer once a week ever since. I have tried every single bowl and absolutely love their Ahi Tuna, Spicy Pork and Beef Bulgogi bowls. I have converted many of my coworkers to Koha and we all love having their bowls for lunch.
This place is awesome! You should try the Signature Korean BBQ chicken, it is my go to, delicious and it never fails!
My first time. Ingredients were fresh and very delicious.
Got the ahi Tuna. Lots of toppings but lacked protein fish.
I love their Signature Korean BBQ Chicken with Sweet Potato Noodles. My go-to meal when I am in the office.
Phenomenal customer service. The food is amazing and the staff is amazing.
This is hands down the best fast food out there. Vegetarian options: Has some great veggie options.
The food is nice and packaging is very nice too, very tasty and well made meals
The classic chicken recipe needs to add more flavour. The vegetable was fresh despite average taste.
Order lunch from here everyday! Love the bowls! Food : 5/5
You cant go wrong with any of the poke bowls here.. my go to is the signature hot mix poke. The portions are very generous and the quality of the protein is always top notch.
This location has the best baos I have ever tried. My favourite one is the beef one. They have really good bowls as well. I ve been going there for months and I will continue to go there
I recently tried the Baos for lunch. Delicious!
I like their beef bulgogi!
I like the spicy pork. If you could make it less spicy, that would be perfect. Best wishes!
Love the vegetarian options- especially the signature panko organic tofu
Love the various options on the menu! My go to is the Spicy Pork Korean Bowl!
Bought the signature Korean bbq chicken with sushi and purple rice with veggies. Very filling and yummy. Very fresh and good variety of food.
Had the salmon bowl for lunch. An hour or two later I started feeling a stomachache. Puked in the office and again at home. A few of my coworkers also report not feeling well after. Not sure if we were unlucky and got a bad one or what.
Omg this food was delicious, I would suggest to add less flavour since it would be nice to have some balance. Otherwise super tasty I tried the tofu bowl and it tasted so good. Also shout out to the lovely staff. Its weird how you guys dont include tip in the machine, I feel like you are losing a lot of money doing so.
So fresh and delicious
Dont eat here. There are roaches in the kitchen.
Friendly staff, amazing healthy food. Pictured is the build your own with added toppings (additional cost) Vegetarian options: Tofu option Dietary restrictions: Low calorie options. Vegetarian options (Panko tofu)
I highly recommend this Korean food court restaurant. Quick and tasty lunch option. Ordered the beef bulgogi with all the toppings. Very decent portion size too.
Had the beef bulgogi bowl from here. Kimchi was amazing, beef had tons of flavour and all the veggies tasted very fresh. Will be coming back here for lunch again.
Had a bulgogi, everything was terrific, workers were nice and even in a long line they managed it very well and got my order in 2 mins. Food was good also with fresh meat and veggies.
Great food - favourite dish is the beef bulgogi.
Great lunchtime spot. Everything I have had so far was tasty but I think my favourite was the spicy pork. It comes with this really interesting sauce and all the flavours work really well together. Love!
Pretty daaaaarn good. Check the colour. Fave - Chicken Bowl. @kohakitchen
Really good service and a great lunch. Not overly filling but enough to get through the day. My go to in the veggie bowl with rice and the miso sauce. The miso sauce it key!
I tried Koha at 199 Bay St. today, and loved it! I had the Hot Mix Bowl with tuna, salmon and kimchi, and it was an absolutely perfect mix of flavours. A very satisfying experience!
Had a quick and tasty poke bowl for lunch and it took me back to Hawaii. I loved that they had Korean rice, noodle and sauce options and will definitely be back!
Had the classic salmon bowl, it was very tasty. Salmon super fresh.
The BBQ chicken all in is my favorite! I also love the fact that its healthy with favorites like zucchini noodles, quinoa E.t.c definitely a go to spot! #199 Bay Street
I LOVE KOHA!! my friend introduced it to me one day during lunch and it was so good that i purposely commuted an hour to work the next week just so i could get it again. highlyyyy recommend the beef bulgogi bowl (its my fave)!! the korean bbq chicken is also super good. love u koha<3
The Korean BBQ chicken is my go to, have tried a few others menue items but the combination of sweet and salty is amazing!
You can never go wrong with the Korean bowls, I love that you get to choose the base, my favorite is the zucchini noodles and sweet potato noodles, but there is more options. My most favorite is the Korean BBQ chicken and next is the Panko Organic Tofu! Both soooo good! Miso sesame dressing is divine...I cant believe healthy food could taste so delicious. Thank you Koha Kitchen! I am a fan!
Food is great! The Hot Mix is my favourite bowl!
My favourite item is the Poke Salmon Bowl!
My absolute favourite Poke spot!! This is my go - to lunch every time I come into the office at Commerce Court and I always get the Classic Salmon Poke Bowl with Quinoa. The ingredients are so fresh and so incredibly flavourful! You will crave it for days after! Next on my list to try is the Tuna Poke.
Love their signature beef bulgogi bowl! The pickled carrots are also the best, definitely MUST TRY!
I get lunch from there every other day, I love building my bowl, usually go for spicy pork with purple rice. Full of flavor!
Koha is my go-to fast-food place for lunch when working in downtown Toronto! They have good options for their Korean and Poke bowls. I especially their Classic Salmon and Ahi Tuna poke bowls. They have a few vegetarian options though. I wish theres more. Good food at reasonable prices! Id totally recommend this place to anyone working around the financial district. Keep up the good work, guys! :)
Perfect lunch spot for fresh, yummy food!! I love that I can get beef bulgogi which is my fave!!
This is my go to spot for lunch downtown. I have loved everything I have tried. My favourite has to be the spicy pork build you own box with sweet potato noodles and different toppings every time. I have highly recommended this place to all my friends.
My partner and I frequent this place on our lunch breaks, its always filling and delicious! Love their bowls (esp the poke bowl and spicy pork bowl with purple rice). The Asian-inspired flavours are a nice break from the monotony of the usual PATH food.
The staff and service is excellent. The food is always fresh. May favourite food is the Classic Salmon with sweet potato noodles, delicious. Highly recommend.
Great selections & service! We had the Classic Salmon & it was delish. Great toppings & wide variety to choose from. Price point was fair too
Double billed for meal on June 23 because their payment system does not display charges so I tapped the wrong fob. The cashier said she refunded me the first charge but I was not credited back on my credit card. Food was okay but payment system was a joke.
As someone who has been a regular here for 3 years, I won t be coming back. The one member of staff here today was so rude to the point of no return - I really should have cancelled my order and walked away.
This location is going downhill fast. To the owner/manager - be careful who you hire. Went during a non-busy hour and got chewed out by the female server.
The food is delicious. It is a spicy delectable food that anyone would be lucky to have. With fresh ingredients and great customer service, I would eat there everyday.
for time to order at Koha at Bay Street and i ordered spicy pork bowl. It was delicious! love it. And the pork are filling up. Thanks to the recommendation. Harry Wang
Great lunch spot for something fast and healthy. Love the salmon poke bowl.
Amazing poke bowl! I ordered The Hot Mix(salmon and tuna ) it was so filling and delicious. Highly recommend :)
Super tasty, lots of vegan options and a really great portion. I could barely get halfway it was so filling. I ordered through ritual and everything was packed well and as expected! Definitely going back
The signature salmon poke bowl was amazing!!! It s my new go to spot!
the hot mix is probably the best poke bowl in this city. the ingredients are always fresh and the service is super speedy. lunch on the path is made 10000% better with koha.
Go get it!
I enjoyed the Tofu bowl with rice. The Tofu is fried and very tasty. I do wish the portions were a little larger for the price.
Very friendly staff, good portion size. The BBQ chicken is my favorite!
When I go out for lunch I always go past Koha Pacific Kitchen. The Ahi Tuna poke bowl is the best in the city. The staff are so friendly and the restaurant is so clean. Look forward to many more meals here.
I had the Panko tofu Korean bowl. Very good. I will be back. I wish all of your menu would be logged on MyFitnessPal so I could log my lunch on the fly but the nutritional info on your website was useful. Keep it coming.
Office is nearby and come to this place for lunch at least once during my monthly visit to Toronto. My favourite is The Hot Mix with spicy mayo, yum!
Amazing beef bulgogi bowl
great place to eat would recommend. Resto is Michelin star
So much flavour! Easy to control nutrition/portions. Menu is easy to read. Staff are helpful. Priced well. Digests well (no bloating). Nutritionist approved!
Assembly line produced poke bowl with rice of a thick pasty consistency, and way too much sauce. Did not enjoy
Healthy and delicious meals. Great choice for vegans!
Food is always fresh! They make your food right in front of you. Quick and easy. They always gives you option to build it yourself, it s made for those people with allergies and a bit picky when it come to food they have 6 different types of bases to choose from and you have the option to taste both. Amazing right?
I tried Koha for the first time today. I ordered the Hot Mix bowl. I had it on zucchini noodles which I really liked. This spice level was perfect. Everything tasted fresh and portion size was very filling. The price was inline with other meals in the foodcourt if not slightly higher but I certainly expect that for real fresh non-processed (less processed) food too. The smaller line up moved along super quick. Will be back for sure!
The food is fresh and delicious with the mix of meat and or veges, sweet, sour and spice.. Definitely worth eating. Yum, yum.
The Korean beef bulgogi bowl is amazing! The ingredients are fresh and the portion is generous. I wish I discovered this place sooner during my visits to Toronto.
My salmon poke bowl was great. Pineapple was a nice addition! A good helping of salmon, too. Couldnt understand the girl for anything tho- she was mumbling and I had to ask her to repeat herself every time she spoke.
Flavours are way too exaggerated, definitely doesnt have the subtle combination that legit Asian food would have, but if youre okay with that then its not bad
Love the hot mix bowl. A bit on the expensive side but the food is good.
The Bao buns are amazing and only 5 bucks! Spicy pork is the best one in my opinion, but they are all good. Got all my co-workers hooked on them as well.
Amazing Korean food! A variety of tastes in every bite. Delicious flavours & textures, and big portions. Fresh taste and refreshing ingredients. Very satisfied and hope this place opens in malls more north. DELICIOUS!!
Poke is so good - not a huge serving though. Bao buns are delicious. Try the tofu - its really good!
Got the chicken with rice poke bowl and it was gross. Rice was soggy, too many pickles and overall flavour was just vinegar. Wouldnt get this again.
Not my favourite poke, I feel like there was too much purple slaw and it overpowered the taste of everything else. Also not a big fan of the sauce.
Ordered ahi tuna...it was swimming with sauce and thats all I can taste and there were literally just 5 tuna pieces. Will not go back
VEGETARIANS / VEGANS BEWARE! The first time I got the tofu bowl, I was told that it was vegetarian. On the second time, I specifically asked if the kimchi had fish sauce, and it did! I also found out that theres fish sauce in the purple slaw as well. It would be helpful if the staff was better trained, or if they had this information written somewhere on the menu. Or better still, if they had vegetarian/vegan options for these ingredients.
I work in the building and used to go to Koha regularly, until today. They accidentally put corn into my order. I asked them to remove it, and they took a handful of corn out and then left a large quantity inside the box and proceeded to put more toppings on top of it. I had to fish out the corn myself afterwards. Very disappointing, will not be returning.
Got the Salmon Poke Bowl. Their mixture of ingredients and recommended sauce wasnt the greatest. Wouldnt return.
Their spicy pork bowl is my favorite
Korean style poke bowls. Definitely worth visiting if you re in the area. Preselected bowls are available, and you can also build your own. I also highly recommend the steamed buns. Their kimchi is phenomenal!!!
Honestly a great spoke for Poke. Was one of the more affordable options in the food court. We each tried two different bowls from the menu and they both tasted great. Everything was warm, perfect spicing and a good amount of food
Got the spicy chicken I believe. It was decent. Protein portions are better than standard. 1.5-2 scoops of whichever protein you choose. Scoops vary in size, so you wont get the same amount of salmon as chicken. Overall it is too greasy for my taste. The purple rice become so greasy and hard to eat. The upper part was enjoyable but by the time you reach the bottom it is not spiced well, just oily and unsalted. I might try other combinations next time if I end up trying it again.
Tasty dish needed more BBQ flavour in the chicken though
Small portion for $14. The taste was so so.
With the abundance of healthy food choices sprouting in the Financial District, this location of Koha Pacific Kitchen in commerce court is a great lunch time option. I had the Korean BBQ Chicken Bowl with purple rice and it was really good and flavorful. Cant vouch for the other menu items, but the chicken was great!
Had an excellent first meal at Koha this past week. So happy that theres a place that offers Korean food near my work. I tried the spicy pork bowl and a tofu bao. Both were tasty and the portions were excellent especially for the price. Looking forward to trying the rest of the items soon. Also, to note I was debating about waiting as there was a line to order, but the staff there were super efficient and was on my way in no time. Thanks!
Tried Koha Kitchen at commerce court last week. Was very impressed with the overall quality of the food as well as the variety. I tried their signature beef bulgogi. I liked that they were many options of bases and sauces. I went with the purple rice and gochujang sauce as they recommended. Everything mixed well together and tasted great. Portion size was good too. Overall I was super happy with the experience and will definitely be going back!
I tried Koha for the first time this past week. I made a custom poke tuna bowl ($13.50). I had it on zucchini noodles which I really liked. The options of toppings and garnishes were really great too. Everything tasted fresh and portion size was very filling. Also, to note the line up seemed pretty long when I arrived, but the staff there moved it along super quick. Will be back for sure!
Tastes good and the service is great
Had the classic salmon and the hot mix poke bowls. Both were excellent - I liked The Hot Mix more because the spicy mayo went really well with it! If Im ever in the downtown area again -- Ill definitely check out the rest of their menu
Very interesting and tasty
Stopped in at lunch and got a take-away poke bowl. I got the spicy combo of tuna and salmon with kimchi over purple rice. The rice is al dente and was a good contrast to the fish. They were a bit parsimonious with the fish but it was fresh and tasty. A decent value at $13 CAD. Ordering and paying was quick as well.
Fresh and quality ingredients coming together to create a delicious lunch! I had the ahi tuna bowl on purple rice and was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the fish and vegetables! (Especially for a foodcourt shop) I was a little worried because the box looked small but I ended up not being able to finish everything... Would definitely recommend for anyone looking for a clean, quick and yummy fix!
It was great to start. I went twice a week for the first month or so. Unfortunately, the food has become inconsistent. Portion sizes fluctuate greatly depending on who is assembling the meal. Also, a couple of staff are completely tuned out. You ask for less sauce and you get your food drenched in sauce.
We had lunch here yesterday. Unfortunately it is very overpriced for what we received. We ordered the Hot Mix poke bowl, the Tuna poke bowl and a pork steamed bun. The containers were barely half filled. They only give a small scoop of fish. Aside from the heat, the Hot Mix wasnt flavourful. The best thing about the meal was the bun which had pickled veggies on top of the sweet meat. The veggies provided a great contrast to the tender meat and fluffy bun. Considering all of the food choices downtown, I would not go back. Totally overpriced for what we received. I have to agree with some of the previous reviews, some of the staff are tuned out and dont seem genuinely happy to be there - makes for a poor dining experience for the customer, even if its take away meals.
This is my third updated review. The owner Phil is professional and cares about his customers. He was humble and explained to me that sometimes hiccups can happen and I can understand that. Thank you for being understanding. My favorite place once again. 5 stars!!!!
Still hungry after eating there. Food is good but portions are small for the price.
Ive had the Beef Bulgogi, Salmon Box, and the Korean BBQ Chicken. The food is consistently decent and the servers are friendly.
Great experience at Koha! Friendly staff, generous portions, and a healthy nutritious option!
Great flavor, but stingy. Got the Ribeye over zucchini noodles with miso sesame sauce. Tasted really good, and is a great low carb option. However, not a big protein serving. In fact the lady helping me was going to put one more scoop of meat and I heard the manager quietly tell her thats enough, which kind of rubbed me the wrong way especially when I paid 14.50 for the meal.
Offering the finest/most flavourful cuisine in the food court - their operation moves extremely fast, and they keep the vibe positive.
Pretty good lunch spot. A bit pricey but its on par with other lunch spots in the financial district. I usually get the spicy pork which is the perfect combination of meat, veggies and rice. My personal favourite lunch time spot in Commerce Court. The food seems healthier as well.
My go-to place for lunch almost everyday since the place opened! Special recognition to Phil - I can always count on him to provide the best service!
Ordered the classic salmon poke. Nothing special, lacks basic flavouring. Very disappointed with their poke. Guess their other dishes are decent based on the rating. For the price, you d expect more salmon and other ingredients. Unfortunately, that s not the case.
I would of gave one but the pickled veggies were ok, other then that I think I could of made a better Bao Bun using WONDERBREAD AND CAT FOOD
Generous poke bowls that you can customize with a variety of toppings, add sauce or have without. Friendly to gluten intolerant, vegetarians and picky folks. Lined up at lunch but moves very quickly. I cant speak to the quality of the fish but it is tasty.
Food portions are half of what other place in same food court serve. Tasty, just need to eat 2 servings. This opinion is shared between few coworkers who try it out as well.
Delicious and fresh. A great new option in the path that I will be frequenting often. I like the variety and flavors. Highly Recommend!!!!
