LA PETITE COLLINE Boulangerie + SHAN SHAN CAFE, a bakery restaurant specializing in Taiwanese premium handmade baked goods that are made fresh daily, with all natural ingredients, no additives, preservatives or artificial flavours.
I appreciate that in Toronto I can find quality milk bread (生食パン) at a reasonable price. This famous white bread is soft, chewy and heavenly tasty on its own, any spread or jam is just overkill. The bakery also offers some special flavored breads, I have enjoyed both longan honey and black sesame bread. Those distinct ingredients easily found and used in Asia add so much unique and rich flavor to a plain loaf.
I spent the whole afternoon at La Petite Colline & Shan Shan Cafe, and it was a perfect spot for getting work done while enjoying great coffee and snacks. The cozy, quiet atmosphere made it easy to focus, and the staff were friendly and attentive. The coffee was delicious, and the snacks, including some tasty pastries, were the perfect accompaniment. It’s a wonderful place to relax, work, and enjoy high-quality food and drinks. I highly recommend it for anyone looking for a comfortable, inviting cafe to spend a productive afternoon!
Went there for the 2nd time for Sunday lunch. Brussels sprouts remain our go-to side dishes, very nice salty flavor and goes very well with the 4 (small) pieces of sausages. Omu rice with short rib is quite good and qty is nice. Beef is a bit chewy. We liked the sauce, would need more of it. Shrimp linguine is ok, qty feels a bit small. Iced Matcha latte was pretty good. I believe ended up over $100 for 2 drinks, 1 side and 2 mains, so at the end food is OK, service was quick but when you put it in perspective with the price you feel there are better value for money options elsewhere.. especially there was a 40 min waiting list when we called at 1pm.. so probably worth 3.5 overall.
A good cosy cafe to spend a Sunday mid afternoon with seven people. Wait time was minimal with reservation and we were seated on a spacious table by the windows. We felt cheery and warmth though it was cloudy and nippy outside. We ordered both hot and cold drinks, Yuzu fried chicken, Truffle fries, Shan Shan Omurice and a Pistachio Cruffin. The chicken was crispy and tender, the Omurice was nicely done with tender slice beef and tasty sauce. The staffs were youthful but very polite and attentive, from serving a glass of water to start, helpful while placing the orders, to finish up the meal with a glass of warm water. The bill was ~$110 after 5% cash discount, so it’s like ~$20/head including tips, not bad for spending couple of hours there. Definitely will go back to try out the rest of the menu.
Having lunch today in this Cafe. First look, see the bakery display on the table are all beautiful and look delicious. We order 2 drinks 1 fries 2 main and a dessert. Foods taste very good consider it is a bakery cafe. Service is pretty good too, all waitress come with a sweet smile 😊. At the end we bought 1 pastry haven't try it yet, but they looks yummy 😋
The interior has a relaxing ambience with modern decor. The brown sugar espresso latte was amazing. It was creamy, slightly sweet and bitter from the espresso. The Mac and cheese was fairly big and was amazing (not overly creamy or cheesy). The shrimp in the fettuccine was cooked to perfection and the sauce was umami and creamy. The meat lovers dish wasn’t our favourite. It could improve with a sauce to the katsu as it was slightly dry or more rice. We finished with the strawberry milk toast which was the perfect sweet treat to end the meal. As we left, they handed our matcha palmier samples which tasted amazing!
The salmon sandwich was poorly made and sad looking when I purchased but it was probably an off day as I’ve heard great things about this spot. Sandwich wasn’t cut all the way (in photo it’s just pure bread at the bottom) and the egg was at the top only, and everything kept falling out. Had to remake the sandwich myself. I’ve heard a lot of great reviews about this spot! hopefully a better experience next time! 😊
The food was delicious. Parking was difficult to find in the plaza if you come later in the day. There are more parking spaces in the underground level opposite of the restaurant. The restaurant fills up quickly so make a reservation early especially on the weekend. Also, don’t forget to try the baked goods. Cruffin is really good! Give it a try!
Had some drinks and pastries after a meal with family. The pistachio croffin is great and is highly recommended. The flat whites are also awesome. I am personally a big fan of matcha and that would be the drink I order upon return. The only thing that would keep me from returning as much is the wait (30 mins at 1pm) and the prices. The price was not unreasonable but definitely on the pricier side. Overall a great place to be with a pleasing atmosphere and some parking behind the building.
I was having lunch with friends today, and the food was delicious! Then my friend had to pick up the children in a hurry, so she had to pack them because before, the lady only brought takeout boxes and no paper bags for me. Fortunately, Xiao Xianrou was very considerate and gave us paper bags. Thank you very much!
The food is delicious, I was so focused on eating that I forgot to take pictures
Wonderful staff, very attentive. Good variety for all. Family friendly
I can t buy Danish toast every time, it feels like it s all deliberate hunger marketing. I didn t even go there early in the morning.
Great service, comfortable and relax dining ambiance. My kids love the foods here. William is very helpful and friendly.
The dish was flavorful, with a good balance of textures. The seasoning was spot on, but the portion could be a little bigger. Overall, satisfying and worth trying!
Delicious Taiwanese pasta and oolong tea! Great service and blazingly fast internet too.
Great place for dates or to enjoy an afternoon tea. Service and food quality are always exceptional. Make sure to go early in the day to get the pastries you want. They sell out fast and can get quite busy. There are many great menu items. Honey comb espresso is the drink I typically order.
Pistachio Basque is so delicious~
This place has very yummy food and a very pretty environment.
The taste is very good. The ice cream sandwiched between pineapple buns is amazing. You must wait until the ice cream melts into the structure of the pineapple buns before eating. Any staple food is available, but bread and desserts are especially recommended. Suitable for brunch or afternoon tea, and more suitable for people like me who eat brunch and afternoon tea together. It s time for the boss to strengthen employee training The pistachio Basque cake is delicious Parking: Free parking in the garage opposite
The matcha lattes here were super fire and the server named william was really attentive
Tried their Katsu curry and it was not that good. The pork was over fried and tough to eat. The Milk Tea was very good as was the service.
This cafe is extraordinary with high quality of food and pastries. Making good latte and cappuccino by their professional Barista. We received excellent service from one of their server Lamplus Food
Good food and good service
First off, the space is beautiful! I took my two children for a quick tea and dessert after dinner. We had the tiratozza, pistachio croissant, milk tea for two and the iron goddess latte. Baked goods were delicious with great attention to detail tiratozza had a thin layer of coffee cream that really added to the taste, pistachio cruffin had ample filling. Iron goddess latte was super tasty and was very happy to see they use oat milk since I can t have dairy. Our server William provided great service as well! We will be back soon!
I really wanted to like this place, but unfortunately, this was my second time coming here experiencing extremely slow service. The food is always really good and I actually had a really delicious meal today, but the lack of customer service from the male server with glasses was appalling. As mentioned, service is very slow, which is something I noticed the first time, so I booked an earlier time slot to have brunch with a friend. When we sat down, it took about 15 minutes for a server to even come by and take our order. We ordered a drink each (not just water), appetizers and meals. As expected, everything took a while to arrive, but we were enjoying everything so we didn t think much of it. Since we were enjoying our food so far, we wanted to order dessert, but it took a while for a server to come our way. We finally ordered and asked for the bill, since we didn t know when we would see her again, so we paid (including tip) and received our dessert. Not even less than 5 minutes after taking our last bite of dessert, the male server came by and said Are you done here? There are people waiting for a table. Then he walked away. We were so shocked and embarrassed that he was basically asking us to leave, that we just grabbed our stuff quickly and left. Interestingly enough, there were other tables around us that arrived at the same time that didn t get that same request to leave. I m ashamed that I even recommended this place to my friend because although we had a great meal, that s definitely not a way to treat paying guests. This was my second lacklustre experience with this restaurant, so I will not be returning. Staff definitely needs to be retrained because that last interaction ruined what was initially a great meal.
Very good location very good choice Parking: Is a good parking spot as well? Food : 5/5 |
Amazing restaurant to dine in! the interior is beautiful I can t stop looking around!
Nice atmosphere and yummy food
I ve been a loyal fan of this cafe for years, but my recent visit left me disappointed. Their signature shan shan omurice used to be my favorite, with tender, pan-seared beef slices and a rich, flavorful sauce. Unfortunately, they ve switched to grilling the beef, but it was overcooked and tough, lacking the finesse it once had. Even the sauce recipe has changed, missing that original depth of flavor I loved. I also ordered my go-to fried chicken toast, which used to be a hearty, satisfying dish. Sadly, the portion of fried chicken has noticeably shrunk, no longer giving me that indulgent, filling experience it used to. The only saving grace was the latte, which still holds up in quality. Overall, though, I can t recommend this place anymore. The new menu feels simplified, with dishes that seem rushed and more like fast food than the cafe I once cherished. It feels as if they ve changed management, and the soul of the place has been lost.
Preordered the breakfast loaf, one word, DELICIOUS!
I was invited to give this place a try, and after glancing through the menu, I decided to treat myself to their rose-tinted pasta dish with tobiko and mentaiko sauce. Though I think the portion size was a little on the small size, it was really well prepared and presented. The truffle fries were generally good. The lychee lime soda thing I ordered was also really enjoyable. After being kindly seated, Ema looked after me and made sure I was well taken care of. High praise goes to her for making me feel welcome, but that praise can also be extended to the rest of the staff. If I happen to be in the area again, Ill definitely order two of their toast sandwiches; they look amazing.
Wanted to try their sandwhich and we had the ham and cheese and BBQ Ribeye toast and the latter was really good in flavour just the beef was a tad chewy (overcooked) but still a 4 star in my book. Now I wanted to make sure to get some greens so ordered Taiwanese fried brussel sprouts and to my shock I never had brussel sprouts taste this good and I don t even like brussel sprouts!! Never remove this from the menu!!
If this cafe want to take it up a notch then it should improve the overall appearance of the workstation. It looks chaotic and wet. When my drink arrived the packaging of the straw was wet. It completely killed my appetite. But in all fairness, the quality of the food was great just the finer details need some improvement.
This French-inspired cafe is packed on a weekend. Great food and coffee.
Shan Shan Omurice wasnt bad, but the egg wasnt runny even when I asked if it would be. The egg was cooked thoroughly which is not like a traditional Omurice, however the steak was cooked to the perfect level. Meat Lover and Taiwanese Fried Brussel Sprouts werent bad either, but none of these dishes wowd me. I was disappointed with the cheesecake because it was super small and the quality wasnt smooth or soft like other Japanese cheesecakes Ive tried. I would give their other menu items a try, but I wouldnt get these things in the future again.
Yuzu fried chicken was good, ordered the egg sandwiches as well and the scrambled eggs were soft and fluffy
The shape and taste of bread, coffee, and sandwiches were all perfect. The price was also reasonable.
Nice place, not too fancy. Good selection of food and drinks. Attentive staff.
The toast and breads are great. Good for quick lunch and enjoy a cup of coffee
They are sold out of almost everything by mid day when they are open until 8pm After years of being in business you should be able to expect how many customers there will be in a day and which items are most popular. I think they are trying to look exclusive and in demand which leaves a bad taste in my mouth as a customer, I shouldn t have to come right at opening just to try some $4 bread. I came at 2pm and wanted to try the bread and pastries but 80% of the items were sold out so I just ordered a lunch item and drink instead. It was good but I still left disappointed
Nothing you ordered
The service and atmosphere was nice. Good aesthetic and absolutely the sweetest server. However the main reason we were the eye was the food, so let me dive into it so y all have a good perspective from my personal opinion and experience. My friends and I went for dinner service. My total bill was $33 before tax and gratuity. I ordered their recommended steak omamurice and puree peach fizz drink. The drink was light and refreshing. Looked nice. It wasn t bad. The rice dish was heavily reliant on a starch base sauce. Right amount of salt but lacked umami flavors A bit one dimensional. The steak was dry, rubbery and also lacked flavor. Fried rice was basically white rice, also flavorless. Given the speed that it came out, it was obvious everything was reheated food. Something I d expect at a HK cafe for half the price. The egg may have been the other thing made to order. I was a bit thrown off because it seems they pride themselves on the baked goods side but the hot foods side didn t seem like a reflection of that
Fantastic place, great service, very friendly stuff and reasonable prices. My server was William and he did a great job!
The coffee was amazing and our server Ema was very nice.
William was so helpful and quick to assist with everything. Food and drinks are excellent!
soooo good to have a late lunch myself here
Really enjoyed the Cranberry Milky Bun. I really appreciate the fact that they have examples of their pastries on display. The staff were friendly and we were seated promptly. The atmosphere was also beautiful.
Cute cafe with a great selection of baked goods, great service as well!
Thank you for your services William!
PLEASE! PLEASE! Please come to Vancouver!!! If you guys ever open up another location this place is the only reason ive come back to Toronto (Markham) so many times!! Food
Great ambience. Excellent customer service. I ordered the Omurice which was amazing. Definitely recommend.
1. The food here is great! You get it hot and fresh! Everything we ordered were tasty, no one had complaints. Portions were enough to get you full. Aesthetically pleasing too! yes its very instagrammable. I didnt think id get full with the toast but I did. 2. Great service, food comes quick, servers were attentive and gets what you need. 3. RESERVE!! I suggest if you want to come to this place, to reserve a table days ahead! We arrived at 11:10am and were 6th on the waitlist. You had to put down your name on an Ipad to be on the waitlist. We waited an hour! And sat and ate for 30 mins. Once this place opens, it gets busy! This place is really popular 4. Place is small with limited seats, but vibe is great. Clean place and clean washrooms It can get noisy at times, but ambiance is still great. 5. I have yet to try the bakery items, but there are a variety of options, they all look so delicious. They were so busy with the orders because so many people were buying. You can order their bakery items ahead online and pick it up. Definitely Recommended for brunch. Parking: Free parking indoors for i believe 2 or 3 hrs, after that you get charged per hour. Its just across the restaurant
The croissants are hard and not tasty, the drinks are not good and taste average, the bread and cheese buns are very good
Bakery items are so good but the portion of food like pasta or rice is not worth the price
Taiwanese fried chicken sandwich is too good)
Always love their breads and BLT sandwiches. Loved the oolong tea latte. Our server William was very patience and helpful. Food : 5/5
Tried the smoked salmon toast and omurice and loved both. The quality was amazing and the price is reasonable. Recommended!
An $8.50 plus tax Basque cheesecake that is incredible small, I was shocked when I opened the box! I can t believe it!
pls ignore the sad camera work + quality (i forgot to wipe my camera down)... it was a pretty cute little cafe, i wish the waiter wiped our table down because it was a little dirty but we forgot to ask so its whatever. food was pretty decent, the price was on the higher side. we got the mac and cheese, fried chicken toast, and the log sandwich (hamburger). not bad, decent food and the vibes were cute. however, i felt that the mac and cheese was overpriced for such a small little tray. the drinks were also pretty good ! on the table, theres the lychee lime soda and iced matcha espresso latte. overall, pretty good cafe.
La Petite Colline & Shan Shan Cafe is a slice of paradise! The Creamy Mushroom Linguine was a rich, flavorful delight, perfectly cooked and bursting with taste. The latte was smooth and aromatic, a perfect pick-me-up. The premium ambiance, with its elegant decor and cozy atmosphere, made the dining experience even more special. This cafe is a must-visit for anyone seeking exquisite food and a serene, upscale setting. Vegetarian options: They offer a variety of vegetarian dishes that cater to different tastes and preferences. The menu is thoughtfully crafted to include several delicious vegetarian options. Dietary restrictions: The staff is attentive and accommodating when it comes to dietary restrictions. They are knowledgeable about the ingredients and willing to make adjustments to suit specific needs. Parking: Convenient parking is available, making it easy for guests to visit without the hassle of searching for a spot.
Cute lunch spot in the area. I have tried several dishes and drinks here. Their toasts are the best, smoked salmon is my go to. The truffle sweet potato fries are also nice. The other mains were ok, so I just stick with the toasts when I m there.
I have always liked to dine in this coffee shop with friends. I was once attracted by their excellent service, delicious meals and coffee, but the experience of dining in the store the last few times has not been very good... On a recent meal, we ordered black pepper sizzling chicken, and a tall, muscular male waiter told us that the chicken was undercooked. After taking the food away, he asked the kitchen to heat it up before sending it back, but he told us, The kitchen will cook the chicken from the beginning. When pouring water, he also touched the mouth of the water bottle directly to our water glasses... Really Its not too hygienic... In fact, we don t need a new meal, we just want to reflect the status of the meal. It s really shocking to hear the male waiter s answer about the status and service... I hope your store can review the attitude and education and training of the outside service staff..
What a great place to hang out for coffee and bakery. The Japanese or Taiwanese style bakery is a rare find in Toronto and appreciate and enjoy it.
Good food & excellent service. My boy Love this place so much
Good food and nice service.
Great experience! Coffee and the bread are great and very tasty. Food
the food is next level
Their Cortado (ristretto with milk foam) looks like a mini latte with strong espresso base is divine. The pink shrimp linguine is delicious with full of mentaiko taste in my mouth. A pity that a lot of pastry items are sold out today, otherwise I can share with you more my comments.
cozy and modern environment, bakery items are really good. Best scallion buns Ive ever had in Canada
Love the food here. Service is a bit slow but worth the wait.
So I took my gf here for a 1pm brunch reservation on a saturday. Havent really been to this strip mall before but I knew about it because I always drive by it when Im going through the woodbine & steeles intersection. I also registered for a Yelp elite event at Canadian Thai which is literally in this same plaza. The inside is very modern looking. Brightly lit, lots of glass. When you first enter you are greeted by the bakery. A little past the waiting area and its the cafe seating area. I noticed that the menu is actually pretty big and has a lot of variety. For this visit we decided to try a couple things. Mac n cheese: If Im keeping it real, this mac n cheese had decent seasoning but fell kinda short. Having just eaten mac n cheese at Smash Kitchen in Unionville, I was trying to find redemptive qualities LOL. The cut-up sausages as garnish were cute but it made the dish kinda kiddy. They used breadcrumb topping but the breadcrumbs didnt cover enough of the surface and didnt create a crust. The macaroni they used was your typical elbow mac. Finally, the menu said it was a 3 cheese mac but I certainly couldnt taste 3 cheeses (also, for a good mac you should be able to see the cheesy strings when you pick up the macaroni and there was none of that). Pink shrimp linguine: Ok this was actually really nice! The flavour was on point. The shrimps were juicy and seasoned well. Our only gripe was that it definitely shouldve been priced in the $15-20 range because of how small it was. I I can get pasta along yonge st in North York, pay around the same price and get a larger portion so that was a lil ridiculous. Strawberry milk custard thick toast: Great quality bread and the berries cut the richness of the condensed milk for a perfect bite. Roasted iron goddess latte (w/ oat milk): My gf said this was good. She said it was quite subtle in flavour. They happened to have oat milk as a substitute for reg milk which was a plus in her books. We definitely want to come back to try some of the other items on the cafe menu. I think pastries and buns is what this place is famous for so Im leaning towards trying one of the sandwiches/buns next time. A lot of the breads and pastries also seemed to be sold out already by the time we started looking at the menu at 1pm so thats something to keep in mind. I also want to try the shan shan omurice but most likely Ill have to get that for lunch one day as it seems kinda heavy for brunch.
We finally tried their signature Omurice and Katsu curry! We loved the Omurice so much. It would be great if they could add mentai (seasoned cod roe) cream Omurice to their menu someday. Thanks for the good service. (April 2024) We really liked this place so decided to come back again. It was Saturday, and the place was busy, and we had to wait about 15 minutes for our table. I tried the Oolong tea Latte for the first time. It was similar to hojicha latte and I loved it! We also had the fried chicken toast, which was also very tasty. The bread here is really good, very similar to Japanese bakery. I also liked the buttermilk rusks that came with the coffee, so I bought some to take home. Ill definitely be back soon! Good food and drink, the server was attentive, and its a beautiful place.(March 2024) It was so good last time that I came back right away. It was a Saturday so it took 15 minutes to be seated. I tried the oolong tea latte for the first time, and it was similar to a roasted green tea latte and was very delicious. The fried chicken toast was also delicious. The bread here is thick, fluffy, and delicious. I also liked the rusk that came with the coffee, so I bought it and took it home. The food and drinks are delicious, the service is good, and the store is clean.I like it. (March 2024) The atmosphere inside the café was comfortable and cozy. The café latte and the Taiwanese-style hamburger sandwich were both good. It was quite crowded due to its popularity, unfortunately, we couldnt get a glimpse of the bread display. (February 2024 ) The atmosphere inside the store was relaxing. The cafe latte and Taiwanese style hamburger sandwich were delicious. Unfortunately, it was so popular and crowded that I couldnt see the bread counter near the entrance. (February 2024)
I might only want to buy the bread next time.
The beverage and toast is awesome. The server William provides professional service here. A nice cafe to go :)
Nice atmosphere and music, excellent food and stunning service from William! Will come back for sure!
Great lil place. Can get kind of loud but its still very nice. Everything was brought out at a timely pace.
The food is delicious, the environment is good, and the service is great. It s a great place to relax! Especially recommend the fries, they are crunchy and the sauce that comes with them is also delicious. The ice cream pineapple buns are great! Worth going back again and again
One of the best brunch spots I ve been to so far. The staff is very attentive and the food tastes so good. Their pastries and bread are diversified and look tasty. I will go back and try them all. Highly recommend the Creamy mushroom linguine and the Lychee lime soda
One of my favourite cafes to work at! Large variety of options, great ambience and my server William was very attentive. Thanks!
Nice chill vibes. Refreshing drinks. And lovely service by William. Would recommend for friends to hang out here.
I have always been a loyal customer of the store, but I found a little Qiang in the bread bag I was so speechless
Exceptional coffee which is a must for me. The iced americano in particular was very well balanced and flavourful. The assortment of baked goods will immediately impress you. I had the cream bun and it was exactly what a cream bun should be. I haven t dined in yet but plan to. The price is what gets me. Not the most wallet friendly but a place you go to treat yourself and the quality justifies the price imo. Give this place a try.
A too-sweet Iron Goddess Latte really broke all my good feelings about this store... Its obviously made with tea powder. Super bad, with super sugar... Their staff was very indifferent and said that they could not change to any other drink, only same one with less sugar .But there is no option in my order to reduce sugar... disappoint
Food are great and the atmosphere in the cafe is excellent. Great service by William and his teammates, they are very friendly and helpful. Convenient location and it is definitely a great place to relax with friends and family.
Delicious and visually appealing dishes, an elegant and comfortable environment, and a big thanks to William and his team for their warm and welcoming service! A very memorable gathering! We will definitely come again!
Staff was super nice, service was quick, and the food was delicious. The lighter colours for the interior and natural light makes it feel spacious and comforting.
Toast is not sliced by default. Please inform us in advance!
LA PETITE COLLINE is a charming oasis that feels like a home away from home. At its heart, this delightful spot is a bakery, known for its array of fresh, artisanal goods. However, its their variety of egg sandwiches that truly shine, offering something special for everyone. The standout for me was the Taiwanese Hamburger Toast a delicious mess of juicy angus beef, fresh tomatoes, crisp lettuce, sweet onions, and fluffy scrambled eggs, and all tied together with a touch of sesame oil. Bold flavors, contrasting textures, and pure joy in every bite. Complementing their delicious food, they also offer a wide variety of coffee and tea. Youll find your standard cappuccino and latte iced or hot. And for tea lovers they feature an array of herbal and single origin teas that are both soothing and invigorating.
Delicious!
Best service with great food. Service from William is perfect. Love their bakery a lot :)
Nice ambiance and decor, but the food at this place is just okay. The fried chicken roast was decent, bit too much lettuce. The omurice was pretty disappointing, egg was overcooked, and the beef was mediocre, not much flavour. Itd be a good place for a date or a business meeting for coffee.
We ordered 2 sandwiches , a fries and 2 matcha latte , foods are great , service is on point , very nice environment , definitely will visit again ! (p.s i do wish if they would hide or put all the cardboard boxes away , is a bit off tone with all the nice renno here ~) Food
This was my first time visiting this place and I have to say I will definitely come back here. I ordered Shan Shan omurice and my sister ordered ribeye egg toast. They were cooked and flavored to perfection . Service was quick and efficient, and the overall vibe of the restaurant was great albeit having limited space. Plus the food imo is reasonably priced. 10/10 experience!
A fusion cafe that offers a lot of home made special bakery products. They also offer pasta, rice, sandwiches, snacks and signature hot/cold drinks. Pretty pricey and the portion of some dishes are very tiny, definitely not worth what they are charged for. Other than the price and dish portion issues, this place is a nice place for small groups gathering. It is not recommended for large parties due to limited space/tables in the restaurant.
The environment is very cozy. We ordered smoked salmon toast and chicken teppanyaki noodles, and the taste was very good. William was very nice and helpful.
About an hour wait to get seated at 11am on a weekend so we ended up doing take out. Service was okay. Food was really good however, only about 70% of the sandwich is filled with meat. We ordered the popcorn chicken and ham/egg sandwiches. Both were really good but near the end, only lettuce and bread was left
Food was delicious and the presentation was nice, the atmosphere of the restaurant is incredible. Will come again with friends and family.
Great customer service. Would need to make reservations for brunch and any other peak service times. Staff are knowledgeable, baked items may be sold out by mid day. Parking: Parking nearby is typically full. May have to walk for 3 minutes from available parking.
Food was delicious and service was great. William was helpful and provided great service.
We made a reservation online and we got our table immediately when we arrived. The atmosphere was pretty good and the air was filled with aroma of fresh breads. The Shan Shan omurice was excellent. Log croissant Sando with ham and cheese was good too. My latte was not strong enough and hot enough. It would be better if they use real ceramic bowls or cups and warm them up first, the coffee with be warmer.
The go to spot for delectable baked goods, keep coming back for more. The crunchy cinnamon donut is a must try !
OMG, I really enjoyed the quality and taste of the food
I went here on a Saturday afternoon, it was really busy. I was lucky to get a table for 3. The staff was really nice and friendly. They did tell me up front that seating is only 90 minutes which I was totally ok with. I really appreciated that instead of being rushed at the end. They had lots of items to choose from, ranging from sandwiches, to meals to buns. We had a Corrado and Lemon Cruffin and Roasted Oolong Latte with Truffle Mushroom Bun and Mixed Berry Walnut Basket. All the buns were delicious and good size. I really enjoy the Oolong Latte. We will return to try the meals next time.
I have been coming here for years and love the pastries and coffee that they have. They are all unique and delicious! the food is really good and always come back for the BBQ ribeye toast. William was a great server and provided exceptional service.
Best cappuccino Ive had in a while. We had the cream bun and the croissant cookie - both are excellent, not overly sweet, well balanced and high quality both in ingredients and technique. Atmosphere is light and airy just like the desserts :) Service is efficient and personable.
LOVE and highly recommend! Its such a cute Taiwanese cafe with innovative drinks and special combos of bread and pastries to try. Its truly a hidden gem! I love getting their breakfast loafs for weeks that I know will be super busy. Its so easy for breakfast or lunch as the toast itself has ham and cheese baked into it. However, its not like those buns where you take a bite and then all the ingredients are gone - they have mixed it throughout the entire loaf so every bite has ham and cheese! Such a time saver. Also their braised beef and omelette dish is so yummy! The beef just falls apart in your mouth - its that tender. Only major recommendation is that if you want to dine in, especially during peak hours such as weekends or after work then book ahead of time! There tends to be a line up whether for take out or dine in. For takeout you can order ahead online but for dine in you may need to just wait for seating. Well worth it though!
The food was delicious and portions are good. William was our server and the overall service was great. Highly recommend!
Great cafe aesthetic but thats pretty much it. Used to be great just after covid but since then, portions keep shrinking while prices keep increasing. Hard to justify anymore with more and more similar cafes opening in the area. $7 for a plain iced coffee is insanity
Cozy place to stay Food is good Their coffee contains very strong caffeine Food : 5/5
Best lattes with freshly baked cookies on the side, along with delicious dishes like their toasts. Great service from William. Thank you from the Chow family!
Service was quick and the iced honeycomb espresso latte was very good. Wish there were more hot drinks on the menu though. The bread of the sandwich was also incredibly soft. We also ordered an omurice that was delicious. The fried onions on top especially. The food was definitely pretty good, I would come again. But the drinks felt quite expensive though they were unique and tasted well. I would recommend making a reservation so you can guarantee no waiting but a lot of people seem to come in for take out usually.
Love their Danish toast and all their bakery products especially the baguette. Service and atmosphere is top notch. The bakery girls are well informed and very helpful if a tad busy lol. The wait staff in the restaurant portion of the cafe have always been great this time William help us and was very professional. Food is good and light, its a great brunch place
Its a very comfy backery and brunch cafe. The backery is very awesome, and the food is also yummy too.Strongly recommend! The wait staff William was very professional
Very nice environment and service, especially from staff William.
William is always welcoming and provides great service. Handcrafted lattes paired with a tasty Taiwanese menu. We always enjoy our meals here. Thank you. Food : 5/5 |
Don t know what all the fuss is all about this place. Just another bakery store with make up.
Food was ok. Service was not really attentive. Went there at around 4-5pm and zero busy, tipping $8 for $52 bill but man manager/ waiter was likely unhappy (as we did not tip as the suggested amount like over 15%?) then they just showed attitude and tried to clean up table when we just sat down another 5 minutes after the meal .
The taste was good. But make sure to reserve a table before visiting here. This place is mostly full
Great place to have brunch. Food was average and the price is on the higher end. Bakery was really good if you don t like things that are too sweet. The service and atmosphere were excellent.
This review is based on two visits to be fair. One star is for one of the waitresses. She is very nice and helpful. The other star is for the presentation of the food, the ambiance, and the bread. However, the food was not very tasty and the price was very expensive. I will start with the drinks. - matcha latte: worst in my life. They say they use ceremonial grade but the tasty of match is minimal. Yes, I believe they use the ceremonial grade but they probably use such a tiny bit of it (since that level of match is usually not cheap) as there is barely any taste. I wont compare them with a Japanese match place but even Starbucks are better. - lychee Americano: the coffee is very sour. Not what we like. - grape oolong tea: worst in my life. They say they use premium oolong tea but all I taste is grape juice. Any bubble tea place would be better. Hey! You are Taiwanese and how can you not know how to make tea! Super disappointed. - chocolate milk: just regular chocolate melted in milk that you can make at home. Again, the chocolate taste is minimal. If you want a really good one, go to places like Lindt. Here are the food reviews. - omurice: I find it weird to use butter in the eggs and that buttery taste ruins the whole thing. However, I guess it depends on people as my husband thinks its okay. The steak on top was cooked right but no taste, again. - Taiwanese chicken teppanyaki noodles: the sauce was good but the chicken was not marinated. You can even taste the chicken smell that I hate. We finished the noodles but we left the chicken as the bloody smell really bothers me. - Yuzu chicken: probably the best dish out of everything. Didnt go wrong but again, the taste is just meh. Other points that we dont like: - We didnt see our waitress so we called a waiter and had an alteration to one of our orders and they messed it up. The lady came with the order and explained that the guy probably misunderstood us. Okay, normally, you would apologize and redo my order. No, she didnt offer that, but did try to help so we were like whatever. But I didnt feel good. The second time we were there, we were served by the male waiter again and realized that he cant speak English well, cant speak mandarin well which helped me understand why he messed up our order during our first visit. AND he looks unhappy all the time. No apologies when they are out of what we wanted. I think this is not the right place to work for him. - we were there on a Sat and they had to chase us out after 1.5 hrs of seating time. Restaurant? Totally understandable. But hey, your name is shan shan CAFE, it should be a place for people to have a drink or food or snacks and chat. Imagine if Starbucks had such limited seating time. Its their policy, I understand, but I dont think its reasonable for a cafe place. - they open at 11 am and we went at around 2:30 pm and half of their bread was out of stock! This is the only bakery that I have ever been to would run out of bread after 3 hours of opening??? They close at 8 pm. Its not even half of a day. I understand that you dont want to have too much left over at the end of the day, so if they are out at 6 pm, I understand. But 3 pm??
A little bit on the pricey side for cafes but glad they allow people to come over and do some work and provide nice premium coffees and very good toast. Atmosphere is amazing. Nice comfy seats, they have bags for your bags to be on the floor. I would def come again but this is an easy $30-$50 spend compared to other cafes but youll get your money worth. Def coming back here.
Food was amazing and came in a very timely manner. The servicer William was very kind and courteous when approaching me and handling the orders. A very clean and beautiful interior. Im definitely coming back soon!
It was very busy but had nice vibes and good service. Food is pricey n smaller portions, but was very yummy! Would come back
First and foremost, the staff was very nice and friendly. The place is a bit small, so I dont recommend big groups, but its perfect for a more cozy intimate feel. Food wise, their breads and pastries are absolutely delicious. Ive tried so many of them already and have always been fantastic. The egg sandwiches are packed with toppings and are soooo good. Their specialty drinks are very good. Id skip the herbal tea though, lacks flavour even after steeping for 10 minutes. Personally, I wasnt big on the pasta. Although the flavour is passable, its not incredible. Would pass on them. But do try the other food options on the menu. Parking: Parking is free for up to 3 hours
Very cute cafe. No outlets though. Not a good place to work
Delicious and delightful spot.
Overall, we enjoyed the food at this restaurant, but our experience was marred by disappointing service. Despite being a party of two, our orders were not served together. One of our toasts arrived 20 minutes after the first, resulting in the initial dish getting cold by the time we could eat together. The second toast took a total of 45 minutes to arrive after we placed our order. While the servers were friendly, the prolonged wait and disjointed service left us with little desire to return.
Forewarn the mushroom toast is filled to the brim so if you re big mushroom lover this is for you Vegetarian options: Mushroom toast
Management is not very friendly, their face is like always angry lol
Parking: First three hrs free for the underground parking Food
Very pretty Asian style brunch and pastry store. It gets full very fast upon opening hour. So better make reservations. The food and milk tea are good.
They offer a wide variety of breads, pastries, hot and cold beverages - coffee, teas plus more. For the breads, they have both sweet and savoury buns and pastries, and a wide range of shokupan and other loaf breads. A delight to see. Service by the lady attendant was excellent, she was helpful, friendly kind and professional. We went for an after lunch coffee and pastry and after seeing their menu, we aim to return for their lunch, brunch dishes. They look pretty good! Our group dined in and we had the pistachio crueller (nice and flaky, soft with enough filling for each bite - good!), crispy cocoa bun (just ok, maybe better of it was warm instead of coldish room temp), red bean custard danish (flaky and yummy too) and the mentaiko baguette (it was coldish room temp and was difficult to even cut with a knife - almost stale) and so we had to ask them to reheat. After it was reheated, it was way more palatable. Huge difference. We were able to appreciate the baguette. Hopefully, in the future, they ask customers if they would want the bread/buns ordered to be reheated or not for a better experience, especially if the item ordered can really be reheated in the first place. Overall, it was a new and great discovery for us. We went on a Thursday mid afternoon so there were only a few tables occupied. The cafe has floor to ceiling glass windows which brought a lot of light in during a gloomy cold day, perfect for having a relaxing afternoon. The interiors are also well designed, the tables are spaced apart, wall and furnishings, colours and the mountains print behind the counter was a huge plus in making the cafe comfortable and a pleasure to dine in. Toilet was opened via wave - a big plus in my books! Parking: There s free parking in a public garage and also one behind the building, street level.
Today was my second visit. Both visits were consistent and I would absolutely recommend this brunch place to everyone who is interested. Both times I went with a group of 4people or more and we all ordered drinks, entrees and tons of buns. Please make a reservation to avoid disappointment. The food is fairly priced and delicious. There is something for every taste: sweet or savoury; pasta or rice; coffee or tea. Theres even soda drinks and variations of familiar drinks. They have oatmilk for ppl who cant dairy milk. Parking is decent. Service is great. One star off bc its so loud. I dont like yelling at my dining partners and I dont like asking servers to repeat themselves because I feel rude in both scenarios. Bright inside and the utensils are fun shaped. Definitely recommend.
My experience here can be summed up with one word: disappointing The pictures in the reviews of this place looked good and the items my wife and daughter got were pretty good (at least they enjoyed theirs). I got their pineapple bun with taro paste and butter -- they were charging $5 for it and it wasnt even a regular sized pineapple bun! It was half the size of what you would get at a Chinese bakery for $1.75 (in a lot of HK cafes you can get the pineapple bun with butter and a drink for < $4) and it wasnt anything special...the taro paste was exactly that. It wasnt exactly a good pairing in terms of flavors with the bun and butter either (IMHO) and I couldve done without it. The drinks were meh. Their strawberry & kiwi herbal tea was just a tea bag (looks like something you can probably get for ~$0.50 each in bulk) in a nice looking pot with hot water and they charged $8+ for that. I also thought their quicksand Americano was also very bland/weak (yes, I know its called the Americano because its watered down, but still...). Decor was nice; value and flavor questionable.
Soooo cute! Yummy drinks and excellent service. Dietary restrictions: Safe for nut allergies! Food : 5/5 |
Great food, Great butter cookies, Awesome environment, Reminds me of home. ;)
Its really good. The food is delicious. Its really fancy. Its a really special place because the serves are very nice, kind and respectful. The ambiance is aesthetically amazing. Overall its a must place to go to.
Dine in experience is nothing special. Atmosphere is good, but I would recommend take out. Their toast is alright but it is kinda overloaded with butter. If you are not a big fan of too much oil, I wouldnt recommend it. Overall not bad I will probably visit again if Im in the area.
Good food and nice atmosphere to chat with friends.
My friend and I had a very nice brunch here. We enjoyed everything.
Employer treat staff very badly. Not recommended
The food was tasty. Friendly server. Decent interior. The washroom was only downside. It was a bit messy, and it was outdated in maintenance, but stilll it was decent Food
Food getting more expensive now but overall still decent
I come here every week to buy bread, but your staff are very disobedient. I was ordering, and suddenly I was asked to wait, and I was cut in line to order for the customers behind me, and I immediately lost my mood to buy. I am very disappointed and will never come again.
Hidden gem in this area. Ordered its signature dish Shan Shan Omurice and fried chicken toast. Presentation was beautiful and the food were delicious. Expresso was good too. Staff was nice and attentive. Food : 4/5
Their Iced Honeycomb Espresso Latte is the best thing ever, my favourite iced coffee drink. The food is also very good, I love the toasts. I highly recommend trying their food, drinks and sweets. I went once and I cant stop going back. Yum!
Delicious buns, coffee and cookies. We order Uber delivery frequently whenever we can t visit the restaurant. Service is great and attentive.
Came here with my partner yesterday and ordered a shan shan omurice and a creamy mushroom toast. The omurice was delicious with an intensely mushroomy demiglace, the steak was nice and tender. The crispy onions were a nice playful contrast from the soft egg The creamy mushroom toast was delightfully indulgent. The creamy mushroom sauce was rich, and smooth. Servers were diligent and kept an eye on all customers drinks to refill. They were friendly. Enjoyed the decor, ambience and music choice.
Wonderful place for a cute casual date! Although, don t expect to get too full the portions are on the smaller scale, best for brunch and a quick tea time. Must try their Shan Shan Omurice, the steak was cooked to perfection! (Med Rare) Their desserts look incredibly tasty, but everything sold out by the time we got there. So definitely get there early if you want to try their pastries.
I give this place 4.5 stars! The sandwiches oh so yummy! The vegetables were fresh, the bread was soft and delicious, the egg was velvety and slightly sweet. I got the smoked salmon and it came with a chive cream cheese and a spicy mayo sauce, all the ingredients combined was like an orgasm in my mouth. Also, got the ribeye beef sandwich, wasnt as tasty but most likely our fault, we ate it a bit cold, but again the flavours were great. Yam fries were super tasty and had good crunch, would get that again too. They also have sweet buns, breads, coffee and drinks. If you are a coffee addict like me, do yourself a favour and get a coffee UFO bun. :)
Food was great. It was soo busy and no one came to take our order for at least 20min. We asked a female server who was done taking order for our next table. She wasnt very friendly and told us that we had to wait for the male server. The male sever took our order and he was very friendly. However, for the rest of our stay, it was the first female server that served us. The logged croisant sandwich with fried chicken was great, as well as the brussel sprouts. The chicken in my teppanyaki chicken noodle was not very well-cooked. The meat was still pink and some blood could still be seen. I told the server and she didnt really care much and didnt do anything about it. I would come back here for the food. Hopefully, their service will be improved.
I bought the chocolate butter cookies today, but they gave me the wrong one twice
Went here couple week ago. The food was average. Didn t like the dressing on the salad. The steak is missing flavour and there was no sauce to dip. Though I like the milk tea and the atmosphere. It s relaxing.
We had a great time and an even better meal! I highly recommend the seasoned Brussels sprouts! Yum! I usually don t like them, but this place grilled them crispy, with the seasoning usually found on Taiwanese fried chicken. Brought me back to the famous street markets of Taiwan, but with a twist. We also ended up buying a bunch of delicious baked buns from the fresh bakery. Definitely making another me trip!
I ve been coming here for my baked goods craving ever since it opened a few years ago. The bread is tasty! They come up with new recipes here and there. Each time, it s a pleasant surprise. I love the chocolate crisp pearls and taro pudding. I recently tried their tropical danish. It was delicious! Last weekend, we decided to stay for the dinner menu in the restaurant. There s a great selection of menu items for a cafe style restaurant. The soda drink was very refreshing. We ordered the fried brussel sprouts and the beef dish. All very tasty. My kids really liked the meat lover. The special octopus design of the sausages were very cute. The restaurant itself had a hip but cozy vibe. The service was top notch. They were so nice and pleasant. This is the perfect fusion restaurant with a Taiwanese twist, which is extremely rare in Toronto. I would definitely go back again for both meals and pastry!
Great food. Great service. Come on guys. paper menus. Seriously
Excellent attentive service and great value for our meals. Food was fresh, latte was great and our water glasses were always filled up. Would definitely recommend.
Very busy cafe located along Steeles Avenue, adjacent to a few other restaurants. Cafe is a bit small, so theres not much seating. Expect to wait for a table. Food tastes great. Average sized portions at slightly higher prices compared to other cafes. Upscale atmosphere, and they have free indoor parking. I will return one day. They offer cash discount.
Really cute place with a lot of Asian and Asian-fusion pastries, drinks and food. Its a great place to get brunch, but do make a reservation if you plan on going on a weekend, it gets busy very quickly. I docked a star because they didnt mention to us that there was a 90-minute time limit if you were dining in, so wouldve been nice to get a notice beforehand.
Really cool spot
The desserts and drinks were good but the service was very slow. Came here on a Saturday morning with family and our food and drinks came one by one rather than all together. By the time the last dish came out, the food was already kind of cold. The same thing was happening with the tables around us. Would only recommend coming here for desserts or takeout
The desserts and drinks were good but the service was very slow. Truffle Mushroom Linguine Pasta and Omurice was okay. Came here on a Saturday morning with family and our food and drinks came one by one rather than all together. It was the same thing that happening with the tables around us. They give you 90 mins to eat but the food and drinks took over 30 mins to arrive. The 90 mins to eat starts when you just order .. which makes no sense since you have to wait over 30 mins for anything to arrive at your table. Would only recommend here for desserts or takeout. Also at the front entrance, they have a selection/sample section to see all the desserts which was great.
The best bakery ever Keep going the great work
Certainly a family favorite
One of the, if not the best bakery in GTA. I really want to take the time to write about this place, but everything is amazing, from renovations to great service and amazing food. The sandwich are to die for, and good luck picking pastries from a giant show case by the door. Will be back again. I am angry I didnt learn about this place sooner!
It seems there was an issue during my visit to your establishment on December 22, Friday, where my friend and I arrived around 11:45 AM for lunch. We ordered three items and a drink but were unexpectedly asked to leave by 12:45 PM due to a time limit imposed by your staff. We hadnt finished our food by that time and were given a box to pack our meals. Interestingly, there were two other customers seated next to us who arrived earlier but were not asked to leave, and they were even offered to move to another table. I am concerned because there was no mention of a time restriction on your website or in the menu. Its important for businesses to clearly communicate any time limits to customers beforehand to avoid such misunderstandings. This experience did not align with the expected standards of customer service. Don t get me wrong, food and staff is good.
We had a great time here! The food was super delicious and beautifully put together. The drinks were unique, fresh and paired well with the food. We also really liked the ambiance and decor. Overall, it was a very nice place to have a meal with friends. Parking was also very convenient in the covered lot. My only annoyance was that we came here with 4 adults and 2 kids - 1 kid was JK and the other was 12mo old. Not sure we got charged mandatory 18% gratuity. Update: the owner/manager responded to my comment about the 18% mandatory gratuity. I have the receipt to prove that the restaurant charged the 18% on my party of 6, 2 of which were kids - under 4 and under 1. not a big deal but if you have kids just have a look at the bill. Parking: 3 hour free parking with restaurants Kid-friendliness: Has boosters
Spent a wonderful Christmas with my besties. Beautiful cake, delicious food, and a special Christmas-exclusive drink recommended by the lovely and professional Sarah, who answered all our questions about drinks and food.
I have been to this restaurant numerous times. i like the choice of food offered here. Its trendy and tasty. I havent made any comments earlier until today because of my latest experience. we were seated already, near the entrance. the group beside us just left. we asked if we can shift over the waitress said bluntly, without any facial expression, cannot, people have been waiting for an hour we thought, if we shifted over, our table will be freed up. yes, maybe a little extra clean up, but we havent ordered anything yet. she could have said nicely, sorry, it would be rather difficult....etc. the waitress who served us was nice. with a pleasant smile. food came in timely fashion, food was hot and tasty. its always a long queue here despite prebooked. maybe the receptionist get stressed out with the amount of people waiting... just to share!
Do yourself a favour and visit this restaurant! Amazing coffee and the food just melts in your mouth! The ambiance is very welcoming and great service. Make sure to be early because their baked items (which is a must try) get sold out quickly. COMING BACK HERE DEFINITELY!
This was our first time and it was great. We arrived a bit early, but they were already preparing our table and only needed to wait like 2 minutes. We ordered two of the sandwiches and to entrees. One was the BBQ Ribeye toast and the other was the fried chicken toast. Both were delicious. The entrees were mushroom linguine in cream sauce and short rib omurice, these were also very very good. Parking: There is limited parking behind the restaurant, but I think I noticed there was a parking garage across from the restaurant, which I dont know if it is free or paid.
Nice decor and I think that s about all the reason this place was popular. In fact their drinks taste like vinegar and their service is rude.
We were running a little late for our reservation and they gave us a call ten minutes pass to check in which I thought was nice. We were just parking so they held the table. It took a little to get our order in but they are least brought us water while we waited. The house milk tea was delicious and also got oat milk cappuccino. Our brunch was delicious as well. We got the Taiwanese Teppanaki Noodles and a sandwich as well. Great portion sizes and great flavour. Been here about five times now and never disappoints.
Awful service
Jan 7 2024 update: new menu of buns since last year with matcha white chocolate and sesame purple rice. Nice strong flavor of sesame and did not skim on the filling on these. June 6 update. Issue was fixed and got a call from management . June 5th update: today I placed a small order because most stuff I want was sold out. I ordered online included breakfast loaf which was $10.50. I got a call immediately saying they dont have it anymore. They gave me a few options and I chose Logan honey bread $5.25. I go pick up thinking to clarify what happened to the difference or they can just give me two Logan Honey bread. Neither happened until I approached them to ask, then the head cashier made some adjustments saying it would be back on my gift card within the hour. Now it has been three hours and I checked my balance and did not get my refund. This is strike 3 for me. Still ordering from here every weekend, decide to try new matcha red bean pineapple bun and sweet potato pork floss bun last week. Matcha red bean pineapple bun had bursted when I received my order and I went back asking if I can get a normal one. They checked and the only other one was also bursted. I was disappointed that a bakery that gives me the impression of being a higher end asian bakery would allow themselves to even sell a bursted product. Of all the filled pineapple buns I had at cheaper or similar price bakery, I had never seen a bursted one. On the bright side I noticed I had an extra sweet potato bun in addition to the one I ordered when I got home. As for the taste of the pineapple bun, the red bean paste is not too sweet which allow the red bean taste to stand out. If you like red bean and matcha combined in a pineapple bun, this is for you. The sweet potato pork floss is an interesting combination, but not my taste.
It s a pretty good place for afternoon tea, and the environment and services are very good. The only thing that makes me feel uncomfortable is that the bathroom design is too narrow
Ordered 4 buns for pick up. When I picked it up, they forgot one of the buns so I had to go back lol the total for the 4 buns came to almost 17 bucks so its on the pricier side for Asian buns. The chocolate crispy pearls bun was good. Good chocolate flavor, not overly sweet. The purple rice black sesame bun had great amount of filling. Good black sesame flavor and also not too sweet. The matcha red bean pineapple bun had a decent amount of filling. You can taste the matcha and the red bean filling actually had red beans in it and tasted like red bean. Its not super sweet like other bakeries where its a super sweet paste. The taro pudding pineapple bun is probably my favorite bun. The bun is kinda small but the filling is delicious. The taro filling had actual taro in it and the pudding that looks like butter is delicious.
Tried couple time here. Sandwiches are very good. Pasta is average.
Absolutely delicious. Real gem.
Food is fine but pricey. Service can use improvement - we waited for 40 minutes for our food. Other tables who ordered 10 minutes after us got their order before we did.
Food and drinks are absolutely delicious but on the pricey end. Nice decor. We have not visited in a while and came back after a few months - it seems they have improved the recipe for the shrimp mentaiko pasta (a must try if you visit!). Service quality however has drastically decreased. It has always been a bit slow but they were also disorganized at our latest visit. Food took over 30 mins to be served. Our pasta came first and we had finished it for a while before any other food arrived (we had to ask as it seems our order was forgotten). Our yuzu chicken was ordered before another table, but the other table was served first. Then, upon checking out, we had to ask a few times to get our bill and a takeout box making for a bit of a frustrating dining experience.
Super delicious! We purchase some treats at least once per week.
Roma raw milk feels so creamy at first, but after a few mouthfuls it feels so greasy. I had a long wait for a table when I first came to the store. Today it was full of people. The price of the meal is still higher than the actual taste. Not as good as foreigners shops of the same nature with better prices and better taste
Very busy at brunch but the food is really good. There was a mistake with my order but the staff quickly made me another toast and then some!
I honestly do not know why Shan Shan Cafe can be in business for so long. Their main courses are really bad. All the black pepper dishes are just spicy but no taste. I had the beef Bourguignon. How is the plate hot but the food itself is cold. I could not finish. I can only come here for the snacks and drinks. The mains are horrible
