1012 Queen St E, Toronto, ON M4M 1K1, Canada
Italian Restaurant at the Queen St. Toronto. Very close to core downtown and Woodbine beach.
We walked in and we’re greeted by the server and he was so lovely and personable, we were the only people in there but we had a fantastic meal service was fast friendly and the food was delicious. Highly recommend coming here for some great Italian comfort food and excellent service, we were even given a complimentary shot by the lovely man! 10/10 would go again x
A lovely neighbourhood spot that just opened in October. The homemade tagliatelle with chicken breast and black tiger shrimp in a creamy basil pesto sauce is a real standout. No blaring music so you can actually have a quiet conversation.
Very cute little trattoria. When we arrived the restaurant was empty. Menu is quite large so wasn’t sure what we would get for quality on a Monday - but the Minestrone soup was wonderful. You could tell the veggies etc were all hand chopped and it was homemade. The Greek salad was well presented and tasty and my wife really liked the pizza. Overall solid value for tasty food in a really cute neighbourhood resto.
We had a birthday dinner with our whole family. The food was excellent and the service terrific. Meatballs, lassgne, gnocchi... everything we had was delicious. We will definitely go back often, and recommend this restaurant for a wonderful dining experience.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ La Roma is the perfect place for a cozy and authentic Italian restaurant. It has a warm and lovely decor and soft music. We tried the "Antipasto Della Casa" which is very delicious. It’s a beautiful platter with fresh, high-quality meats, cheeses, and vegetables. The arancini were crispy and flavorful, and the roasted peppers and olives added a perfect touch. Everything was arranged so nicely, and the taste was amazing. Great food, great ambiance, and excellent service. Highly recommend La Roma for anyone looking to enjoy delicious Italian food!
I had an amazing dining experience at La Roma. The ambiance was warm and inviting, with soft lighting and classic Italian decor that set the perfect mood. The staff was incredibly friendly and attentive. The food was outstanding and every dish was packed with flavor and made with fresh ingredients. I especially loved the."Spaghetti Carbonara", which was rich and perfectly seasoned. The dessert, "tiramisu", was the best I’ve had in years! Overall, La Roma is a must-visit for anyone craving authentic Italian cuisine. I’ll definitely be coming back soon!
When we arrived, we were the only people in the restaurant, the server greeted us promptly and gave us our menu. We weren't greeted by water, we had to ask for it off the bat which wasn't the best first impression. The menu itself is huge, cluttered and hard to find its head or tail. The first thing we ordered was the Caprese Salad. The portion was a nice size with fresh (somewhat underrippened) tomatoes and a sprinkle of whilted basil. It came with untoasted French baguette with a dab of olive oil, we might as well have had dry bread. The presentation had something to be desired, the knife they used to cut the cheese might as well been a buttered crayon. For our main dish, we ordered two pappardelle pasta dishes—the boar ragù and the creamy pesto pasta. Neither of them featured pappardelle... but rather fettuccine. Apparently, their special was fettuccine pretending to be pappardelle! To top it off, the ragù tasted like it had been pre-spiced before and the tomato was added after, leaving an odd aftertaste. It also seemed like the meat hadn’t been cooked long enough, giving it a gamey vibe—more “wild boar” than we bargained for. Finally, the creamy pesto felt more like an Alfredo sauce with a few spoonfuls of pesto thrown in for good measure—the creaminess completely drowned out the pesto flavor. The highlight of the dish? The shrimp, which had a satisfying bite and a fresh "crunch" that stole the show. It was nice they used real parm cheese to shave onto the pasta, but when they came around with the pepper, it was a food basics plastic shaker. The one thing I really disliked was the shape of the dishes. Eating from them felt like a challenge—you practically had to crane your neck like an ostrich just to get a bite off the plate. Overall, I'd give it 2.5 stars. What really made the experience awkward, though, was the server lurking by the front door, hovering nearby but not actually providing good service. Our water sat empty without any offer for a refill, and the plate with shrimp tails stayed on the table long after the others were cleared—little things that added up to a less-than-stellar experience.
A new gem in Leslieville, *La Roma Piccolo*, caught my attention, so I decided to try their food. The staff were very attentive, and the owner was welcoming and friendly. There were four of us: my wife, two of my kids, and I. I had a fungi salad, my wife had a Caprese, and my two sons shared fried calamari and bruschetta as starters. For the mains, we had the seafood combo, grilled salmon, and a Capricciosa pizza. All the dishes were elegantly presented and tasted truly authentic Italian. I will definitely be back.

Wonder service Delicious and authentic Italian food Food
Lovely intimate space with fantastic service and food. This place just feels like a hug. The warmth from the staff and the ambiance is perfect for a date night or family dinner. Will definitely be back.
I was initially charmed by the restaurants cute decor and very good Google reviews, but my experience took a turn for the worse. I ordered spaghetti carbonara and requested it to be cooked al dente. The waitress didn t know what that meant, but she checked with the cook and confidently assured me it could be done. Unfortunately, when my dish arrived, the pasta was overcooked and mushy. The sauce was greasy, not creamy at all and contained visible bits of egg whites-definitely not the traditional carbonara I was hoping for. To top it off, the nonalcoholic beer I ordered was $10, while it s usually $5 or $6 at other places in the neighborhood. Overall, it was a very disappointing meal, and I can t recommend this restaurant if youre looking for authentic Italian cuisine. Save your time and money.
Four of us had the vegetarian pizza, which was delicious. The crust was tender and soft. I had a tasty arugula salad with unusual additions like flaked tuna, corn. The wine by the glass was very generous and I had a delicious Negroni. The service was good, very friendly and helpful. NOTE TO PATRONS of Crows Theatre....this restaurant is a short walk south of the theatre (at Dundas & Carlaw)
The place was awesome! The environment was great, and I loved the service. The waitress was really good at her job. The food was also good. Ill definitely go back again with my family.
This is the best restaurant I have ever went. Its interior design is glamorous. And What would I say about the food it is better food then a five star restaurant.

I am new to Leslieville, I ve been waiting for this place to open up for a number of weeks. I am not disappointed at all. Atmosphere, food and service was great. Vegetarian options: Margarita, pizza, and salad!
This seems like a family owned neighbourhood Italian restaurant in Leslieville. I want to give a shoutout to Esha, our server, first because she was very friendly and attentive. It made the dining experience more enjoyable. The food was pretty good, especially the arancini appetizer. Two thumbs up and I licked all the sauce! We also had carbonara and veal Marsala. I wouldnt say very traditional but both dishes were pretty good. We live in the neighbourhood, and the owner and staff have been always friendly with a smile on their faces to everyone passing by. Give them a try if you want yummy Italian food with warm and friendly service. I look forward to try their lunch paninis.
Highly recommend!! The food was excellent and it was matched by the friendly service of Marco!! Will come back soon!
