Great bar 10/10. Paul is the city s best bartender hands down. The pianist has to go though, takes away from the FOOTBALL!

Unfortunate experience. A friend of mine and I wanted lunch and had to get work done around 1:30pm. We live in the neighbourhood and thought we would support a new local pub. We were at a table for about 1 hour and 15 minutes when we were approached by somebody (we assumed an owner) informing us to either order more than we already had (which at that point was a 60$ lunch) or to leave. The bar had approximately 3 other people there (one of which was a baby in a stroller), and so no real cause for concern in terms of taking up a table. Less than a block in either direction will bring you to two other fantastic pubs that have been more than welcoming before. The server was very nice and accommodating, but unfortunately somebody else had to ruin the experience. In all likelihood, we would ve had a pint or two later too!

The best bar in the neighbourhood, hands down. And it all comes down to the friendly staff, like bartender Paul. The Ladybug Tavern should be YOUR first choice for a pint and a plate thanks to people like Paul.

10 out of 10! Highly recommend! Friendly atmosphere, solid assortment of beers on tap and great food. Special shout out to the bartender with the mohawk for exceptional service. We will be back!

Waitress was inattentive and kind of rude. Food was way overpriced, small portions and had no flavour. Menu also consists of maybe 5 things. Wouldnt return or recommend.

Had a delightful supper al fresco at the Ladybug Tavern. Was a bit busier on the patio, but my server, Sam, took great care of me as busy as she, was during the NBA Finals. With a tv on the patio, it was great to be able to sit and watch while dining. I started with the spieducci (lamb skewers) which i loved with the chimi churri sauce. For my main, I had the Salisbury steak, which was delicious. Perfect amount of gravy and vegs for a good portioned chunk of beef. Totally recommend!!

First time here and saw in passing. My boyfriend and I decided to stop in at the patio for a late lunch. Service was great & the waitress was nice and helpful. The older gentleman (who I think is the owner) was checking in on us and constantly making sure we had what we needed. The calamari was great. Definitely coming back with my friends.

Nachos looked great - had preprepared guacamole all over it. At $29 (with chili- which was totally flavourless- $24 without chili) I assumed it would be fresh. It should be. So gross. Service painfully slow , nobody asked how our food was and when we asked for the bill, the server took orders for a table of 12 before printing it for us. Super cute interior but too bad this place suuuuuuuckssssss.

My new favorite local!!! Service is always fast and friendly, happy hour is everyday and the food is delicious. On top of the unique variety menu, everything tastes fresh and flavorful. I am so glad my husband and I found this place defn recommend tacos, pizza and their cocktails

Good place to visit. It was very expensive for a tavern. The service was great. The atmosphere was very good. This place is pricy, and some of the staff look visibly upset if you dont tip or tip enough. I went to this establishment on a busy Friday night.

This place has such a cool pub vibe. Small and quaint. I went earlier on a Friday and it was very quiet but it picks up a lot later in the day. The food was great. I had the New Yorker pizza and the fries which were absolutely delicious. Nice and crispy. I really liked the ambiance. Would and will definitely go back.

Severs ditched us for 30 minutes, and portion of fries was small. Barely 30 fries for $9. Not attentive at all.

Great place! Cozy atmosphere. Its a mini Banknote. Most of the same staff from Banknote which makes it feel familiar and homie. The new additions are fabulous which makes the place amazing. Its our very own Cheers in Toronto or maybe I go there too often. Love it

I watched this tavern be built through the summer and was so excited to finally try. What a great experience. Service is great, and food is actually really yummy. The fish and chips were surprisingly really nice - especially considering it was 11pm on a Friday. It was a great experience and I will definitely be back. Best of luck to you guys

Great spot, cozy and warm with great wings. Needs a better draught beer menu, right now there are no local options, only Molson and Budweiser etc. Other than that this place is awesome.

I was really excited for this place to open and Im glad its here, though it could use some adjustments. For example, Ive not been given a glass of water any time Ive dined in (~5 times), Ive had to get a servers attention after being ignored for 30+ mins after finishing my meal so that I could pay my bill, and my order has been wrong twice. Im just ordering whats on the menu, nothing custom or special. The food itself is decent if you dont feel like cooking on a week night or want to bring your parents out for brunch on a weekend. Dietary restrictions: No non-dairy milk on site.

Seems likes it s getting harder to find these gems in the city so thankful we got a spot like this with a great kitchen, bar, and vibe for locals. Paul and the staff are killing it.

We were a table of four for breakfast, we all had different menu items and cocktails. All of the food was delicious, special mention for the Western sandwich and the homefries (best weve ever had in Toronto). Our server Julie was a rockstar even managing to get me a side of gravy for my fries at 11:30 in the morning. Check this place out, you wont be disappointed.

Popped in for a late dinner and had a great experience - the food was excellent, unfussy and quick. I had the fish and chips (deliciously crispy batter!) and my partner had the burger (juicy!). Really wanted to love this place, but the food is bad and service wasn t great. Calamari was ok, fries were bad, and pizza was terrible. Server brought me the wrong drink then asked if I had a daughter his age. I am 32. He was 20.

Never had anything to eat there. Great staff and a nice selection of wines and craft beers

Walked into the Bug and was greeted by the finest, friendliest bartender I have ever met. Trust me .when you check out The Lady Bug you ask for Paul behind the bar for a true experience .the absolute best dude in the city plus the food is great!!

We visited for a birthday a few weeks back and the food and service was astounding! Cake was brought out in style by our gracious server .everyone singing HBD to me! Thank you Ladybug! Finally had the opportunity to stop in and the amazing service blew me away. The bartender Jake is the absolute best and he will do anything to make your experience truly one of a kind.

Stay away from the bartender as hes unhelpful, rude and surly. We were 3 people seated in the patio area for a very late lunch on a weekday afternoon. When the bartender came to ask for our drink orders I queried whether it would be possible to get Sangria in a glass (they advertise Sangria in a pitcher). The answer was no (fair enough) but when I asked if he could suggest an alternative that might be similar to Sangria I was given a glare. I said perhaps a spritzer type drink? (I know nothing about mixed drinks) The bartender said well I guess I could throw some club soda in a glass with some wine: I dont know what you want!. I chose water. When he started walking away and we said we were ready to order food as well he just ignored us. Really?! Now, Im assuming this unruly fellow was the bartender as eventually a waiter returned with our drinks and mentioned he heard we were ready to order. The waiter was friendlier but by this point it was too late and I felt very unwelcome.

Sat june 10th at about 8pm .The service was very poor we waited along with the other 4 tables inside 40 min for a very sad ceaser that i only drank 1/4 of the people beside us waited over 35min for 4 beers the bartender was quite busy with his conversations the only person who was Killin it was the bar back. He went for ice about 5 tines in a row doesnt seem like anything was set up and everyone just got him to do there work for them. props too him. This would have been a great spot for our beer league post game drinks but not after that. sorry ladybug

Tried this place last week and was pleasantly surprised. We sat on the patio, service and vibe was nice and chill. Took advantage of their $12 pasta Mondays and the Orecchiette Salmone was fantastic, highly recommend! Excited to go back and try other things on their menu

A friend of mine took me here as part of a birthday celebration. We sat at the bar and Jacob was awesome. Quick service, great banter and the very best margaritas. He made it fun and I especially appreciated the birthday shot. We left for awhile but ended up going back because we knew it would be a good time. Pizza was fantastic, the drinks were too. Definitely will be returning.

Jacob was the best bartender ive ever had in my life. Cordial, friendly and always made sure we re catered to. This bar if Jacob is there will be the best bar I ve been to in Toronto

Stopped here for happy hour and it was a great find. They have a cheap drinks and small plates on for happy hour every day - would highly recommend! We had chips and guacamole and it was a very filling snack. Service was awesome/friendly and the vibes are great. There s also a decent sized patio out the side. I ll definitely be coming back here!

Their bartender Jacob is the best!! Quick service, great drinks, and really makes the best atmosphere. Hes a keeper. Ill go to any bar where Jacobs serving

Like another reviewer, Im a little on the fence about Ladybug Tavern. The food menu is fairly blah. Nothing particularly outstanding and nothing particularly awful. Selection-wise, you wont find anything surprising; its pretty basic and uninteresting. The beer on tap is similarly basic (Stella, Bud light, Guiness, Keiths etc), though there are some craft beers in cans. Im not a wine drinker, so I cant remark on the selection. Dogs are welcome on the patio, which suits us. The patio is the biggest selling feature of this establishment. The patio and its proximity to my home are the only reason we come here. After patio season is over, maybe Ladybug Tavern will consider switching up their menu or something to incentivize people to keep coming back. The service, like most everything else at Ladybug, is fine. Good not great.

My husband and I are not frequent bar goers but had the pleasure of visiting The Ladybug Tavern and we were fortunate enough to encounter a bartender who truly stood out from the rest. His name is Paul and he has an unforgettable mohawk - you cant miss him. He is an absolute legend and deserves all the praise in the world for his exceptional service and going above and beyond for every human he encounters (for the full Paul experience - go earlier in the week and you get the bonus of one of his best sidekicks - Julie) What impressed me most was his attentiveness and ability to make everyone feel like a VIP as well as the way he expertly curates personalized recommendations. Not only did he listen to my preferences, but he also shared his own insights which made for a trip down memory lane as far as our custom drink experience played out. His passion for mixology is evident in every libation he crafts. Paul associates with his patrons on a personal level. He takes the time to engage in genuine conversations, getting to know you beyond just your drink order. He remembers names, preferences, and even special occasions, which makes him LEGENDARY. Paul genuinely cares about his craft and the people he serves. He truly embodies what it means to be a top-notch bartender.

Like some others have commented, this place is just very generic when it comes to the food and drink selection. Service is great, atmosphere is nice when it s busy.

What a nice surprise! First time going here and had some of the best quality food and drink Ive ever had in the city. Portions were excellent and the happy hour drink and food options were plentiful starting from 4 pm which is much better than the usual 5 pm at most places. Ive told all my friends about this place.

Some of the worst food we ve had in Toronto. Was surprised and left hungry. Mostly corporate beer.

Sunday August 6th, around 8pm. Second time here. First time was amazing, 5 stars across. This second visit however, was among the worst service I have ever experienced. To be fair, the woman who brought us menus was wonderful. The woman who took our order was awful. The second she discovered we werent ordering achoholic beverages the service went down hill, fast. We were treated as secondary, merely a waste of this persons time. No napkins were ever brought. Unlike the tables around us who all had napkins. We had to use some that we brought ourselves. When I asked for the bill she asked if we wanted one bill or two. I said one as it would be weird if a husband and wife got separate bills. Not even 30 seconds later the bill was brought, and I am exaggerating the time as she wanted us out fast. Slow day or not, that servers attitude was unacceptable. We would normally tip extra as we dont drink all that often. This was a situation where under no circumstances was I going to tip as normal. Me and my wife rather liked the Ladybug Tavern... It took just one bad encounter to completely change our view and contemplate never returning. Which is a shame, but that server made her choice and so did the establishment in hiring her.

Great atmosphere, great and exceptionally friendly service, and great prices - 10/10 all around. The happy hour is unbeatable - lots of great options for only $7 (draft and wine), and tasty calamari.

Never had the chance to try was denied access at 12:30pm on a Thursday afternoon to a completely empty spacious patio because I had a newborn sleeping in a stroller and could not collapse it! In a day and age when everyone is being so conscientious about others rights I suggest this stuffy bar rethink their strategy. Won t be back stroller free either.

The Lady Bug Tavern is a classic pub with an awesome vibe. The cocktails are excellent, and you absolutely must try the espresso martini. Sam, the bartender, is amazing shes not only a cocktail wizard but also incredibly friendly and hilarious. Five stars for a fantastic experience!

I love the food here and I m gonna be honest, I come for the specials every Monday , Wednesday and Sunday. Buuuuut there used to be a Colombian server who was super nice, ever since he left, there s an old blonde lady server who the first time she took my table would ignore me for long periods of time, the second time, she transferred my table to the bar tender and today she totally ignored me and asked the bartender to come out (even though he has customers at the bar) to take my order. I m gonna keep on coming not because it s cheap, but because this old lady needs to leave her racism at her house, this is the first Canadian (idk if she s from here) that s treated me like this.

Paul might just be the best bartender in the city! Fast, efficient, and just an all around great guy! The blonde server was was sooo nice, recommend great food, and made the whole experience a fantastic time. I believe her name was Julie.

I have lived in the neighbourhood for years and altho ladybug is a fairly new addition it has quickly become my favorite spot for food and hospitality. Paul and Jules are wonderfully hospitable, attentive and always make me and my friends feel like family. Were always looking forward to our next visit together and i cant say that about another place. 11/10!

I had a fantastic time at Ladybug Tavern bar with friends while watching the Leafs game. The atmosphere was great, and Paul the bartender was awesome, making our experience even better. Its definitely a place Id recommend for sports fans and gatherings.

Great little pub just opened at College and Delaware. Staff are friendly and beer is cold. Had a good atmosphere on a Sunday afternoon. Next visit ordered the wings, calamari and a blueberry cheesecake with wife. All was delicious. Definitely a decent spot in the area and worth checking out. Kid-friendliness: Was able to bring our 3 yo during the afternoon. Though not a lot of room for strollers.

New favourite spot in the West End, read my book at the bar which was lively but not incredibly loud. Had a cocktail over happy hour and chatted with the super friendly staff before ordering a pizza. Definitely recommend the cappriciossa!

Im so glad the Ladybug has opened! A great bar, with good food, cold beer and the friendliest staff youll find anywhere. Its been perfectly busy every time weve been and it has such a great buzz about it. Its just what that stretch of College needed. I cant wait for summer because it looks like it has a great patio.

Pint of Guinness came to $14, shouldn t even have tipped, bartender couldn t be arsed to even put any effort into saying hello place was empty at the time. Not a good way to enter the neighbourhood, probably won t last long, good luck!
