Wide variety of food and some of the best Lechon iv ever had. Definitely worth the drive

They are very generous about the food serving. Everything is well seasoned and I liked the sisig and belly the most.

Do not recommend the service is not very friendly at all to expensive and the food was terrible

I recently ordered from Lechon Republica and found their food to be absolutely delicious! The lechon was perfectly seasoned and tender, and the sides were fantastic. I also tried the Sinigang na Baboy and Kare Kare, both of which were exceptional flavorful and cooked to perfection. However, the packaging could use some improvement as it didnt hold up well during delivery. Overall, the food is great, but better packaging would make the experience even better.

I always went here coz they serve good food. But today i was dissatisfied. I found a little shiny thing on my cauliflower and found out its a piece of i think its a steel wool for scrubbing stuff. I hope they be careful next time they serve food.

Bulalo This dish has gone downhill over the past two years. I remember ordering this during lockdowns and it was a lot better then. My recent order (March 23rd via UberEats) had two cubes of beef and the rest were cabbage and potatoes with hardly any broth. I don t think I ve ever received an order with actual bulalo in it; it s more of a Nilaga dish than a beef marrow soup. I d adjust your expectations when you order this. Lastly, the store has been cooking it with red and green peppers - I always pick them out. It s like finding peppers in an Adobo, it does nothing to the dish.

Ordered through Uber Eats. The Kare-kare was good but pricey compared to the portions they gave. There are barely any meats. I also ordered Beek Kaldereta and the meat was tough. It was hard and I am not sure if it was not cooked thoroughly or the meat was too old and not fresh. Either way, it is not acceptable. Just like the other reviews here, I also ordered the pork bbq skewers and the meat was tough and hard, covered with too much bbq sauce to cover the fact that it wasnt fresh. There is really no reason to have these foods on a subpar quality. Perhaps I will give them another chance in the future but this review will stay as a sign and a message for them to improve their food quality if their intention is to serve quality foods that will render them open indefinitely.

A must visit resto specially when you re craving for filipino food.

My overall experience here is very satisfying. Their lechon belly is incredible and the staff are very friendly. The sisig and bulalo are very tasty. Recommended filipino restaurant!

I recently ordered the beef and pork menu platter from Lechon Republik for New Years Eve and unfortunately, the overall experience left much to be desired. The meat, particularly both the beef and pork, was disappointingly tough and seemed rushed in preparation. While I appreciate a timely service, its crucial for the quality of the dishes to match the speed of delivery. The tough texture of the meat was a letdown, overshadowing what could have been a delightful dining experience. Nobody at our party could bring themselves to eat the tough meat, rendering it a complete waste of money. I hope this feedback is taken constructively, as I believe Lechon Republik has the potential to offer exceptional meals with a bit more attention to detail in the cooking process.

We ordered lechon belly for New Year s Eve, it was very salty. It tastes like it was soaked in salt for so long. Almost got confused if we re eating a lechon belly or a rock salt. Very disappointed. I don t recommend.

I was disappointed that they dont carry and serve the actual roast pig which is Lechon, they have the pork belly roast. I also think that they use sugar on every menu they have on the line. Consistency is key and this place is consistent in their quality and taste. The food is fresh and very flavorful. I highly recommend their dinakdakan and kare kare! Also get the chicharon while youre at it, you wont be disappointed.

The story starts from a messed up order and owners personally did their best to the utmost professionalism to handle it. They have their own unique way of cooking as well as treating their customers. They want certainty want the best for the customers. A mistake mended and definitely not a discouraging encounter but rather encourages to return for more and enjoy more.

I love the warm hospitality of the people who work at Lechon Republik!!! They re all VERY VERY accommodating if I m gonna compare it to all Filipino restaurants (tbh lol). Ofc, the food is exceptional and personally speaking, I love their lechon paksiw and sinigang!!! They sell all the comfort food that you miss from back home :) their main specialty is the lechon belly and pair it with their in house vinegar, you ll feel like you re in heaven!!! LOL I ll always come back!!

Food tastes good, staff were friendly. The lechon skin was nice and crunchy, the meat was flavorful. They offer meals of rice plus 1 meat and 1 rice + meat + vegetable. Everything was reasonably priced and good portions.

A filipino restaurant that my family would always go to, be it with UBER EATS or take out. Our Top 5 choices: sisig, dinakdakan, dinuguan, bbq, and chicharon. Medium size, is enough for 3 people.. The place seems small for dine in, take out is a better option. The prices are reasonable enough,. Yes they increased but its 2022 everywhere we go nowadays they all went up.. Its a good walk from the Glencairn Subway Station..

Ive been coming here for quite some time and never had any issues with the customer service or the food. I wanted to order silog but was told that they couldnt make it. When I asked if she could make me a plate with meat , rice and egg I was told that it couldnt be done. This will be the last time for me.

Try the Buko Pandang its heavenly! And the Sisig its out of this world.

We order often. But they must have new cooks. Food is usually good. But this weekend it was delicious. Hats off to whoever cooked Saturday August 13! Keep up the good cooking!!

Good prices, good portions, lots of tasty (mostly pork based) takeout options. They have a small parking lot so you can easily stop in and pickup lunch.

This place offers delicious and authentic Filipino food. I highly recommend it to everyone, most especially to Filipinos missing Filipino comfort food. The prices are very reasonable. Staff are very efficient. Place is super clean.

Fresh homemade food.

The food is terrible. The pork stew was tough. I ordered 2 items combo (goat & pork) which should be $10.85 but was charged $2 extra. I asked the girl who said that goat & pork are premium items $1 extra for each item. She didnt mention it before I ordered. Not honest at all. Why said pork is premium item which in fact is really tough. Never eat there anymore.

I find this filipino restaurant is so expensive any container you use u got charge for .25 cents, for dinakdakan or any food that has premium u should put the exact price on their trays do people know how much it is. I wonder if they new that one is a dollar high for sure they will not buy it. I asked for an extra soup for sinigang, they charge me 0.25 bec i use the container and they did not even fill it its like the size of luisina small gravy cup.they always have hidden fees that u only be noticing after paying. Govt should take a look at this store as they charging diff fees like misc fee . What is that?? I will call inspection canada to get this audited. Vey expensive. Their sisig taste like only chicharon . Omg..

Hidden Gem... If you cant decide between filipino fast foods around the bathurst and wilson area DONT ! Thats what i did. I tried this small fast food place and got hooked.. Staff is awesome and prices are good. Small request to the owner though... Can you serve SISIG 7 days a week pls not only on saturdays more power to you and your staff!!!

Their sinigang is so too salty and so greasy. Their food doesnt look fresh, I ordered kare kare and bopis and it taste so old. Their lechon kawali lacks of salt and crunch. Not a good experience at all. Not coming back here.

Pork Bagnet Sisig

This is the best food Ive had in my life. I grew up in Toronto, Ive eaten in cities around the world at many great restaurants, but this beats them all. What a blessing for a place like this to open up where Im living. Ill be coming back at every opportunity. Everything on the menu is healthy and exploding with flavor. Generous portions and very affordable prices. I hope everyone in my neighborhood will support this great local restaurant, run by friendly and welcoming people. Make sure to try their coconut curry!

They charge a dollar for small brown bag. That turned me off. Their take out containers seems to shrink every time I get take outs. The large size of steamed rice looks like the size of medium containers now. I find most of their dishes are too salty or too watery I dont buy most of what I used to order before . I found another Filipino restaurant that I liked better.

Cebu and and Bayug lechon of Iligan city are what I considered the best lechon in the Philippines. I have tried many lechon in Toronto but this is closest to home. Will recomend.

If the prices on some dishes could be a bit cheaper and portions be a bit greater then I d be showing up here more often since it s only a few seconds away from me. But there s that other asian takeaway in Scarborough with a total steal prices, the 20-minute drive is worth it. No complaints about the food and service though.

I ve always loved their sisig, but yesterday we tried their liempo for the first time and after the first bite, nostalgia hit like crazy. It tasted exactly the same as the liempuhan place in Dapitan, near my alma mater, that closed down while I was still at school. Always searched for that distinct taste. Found it in Toronto.

Great food and good service with a very clean environment and outdoor patio. One dish I love to bring home(togo) is a dish named kare kare and everyyime I get home it overflows on my bag. Either the container is not proper for the dish or the saran wrap was nit enough or properly applied to protect from dripping. But overall its good

Update: Me and my wife went there the other day. We ordered at least 5 different dishes. We asked the sales lady if she could use a paper cup instead of the styrofoam for the soup, she said NO! She goes- If you want I will charge you 25 cents. What a turn off! In comparison if you go to any fast food and ask for an extra cup or bag they would gladly give you an extra. We spent $60 that day feeling unappreciated by this resto! I gave them a 5 star before but good service has turned sour. Pls train your sales team to be courteous!!! Below was my first review when they just started... Authentic dishes. People there are friendly, good and honest.

This was my first time trying this place. The pork belly was extremely dry, it did not really have any seasoning. I wasn t able to eat all of it due to the dryness and no flavour, so unfortunately it will go to waste. I believe it definitely was not worth the $30, if I could get a refund, I most likely would ve. I don t think I will come back here unless this experience was made up. I strongly recommend going to Sampaguita Village though! And trying their lechon, much better than here

Sisig is cut too big. Full of pig hairs too! Most of it is full of hard pieces and fat and almost no meat! This is a very poor excuse for Sisig. If I could rate negative stars I would. Please save your money and don t order this!

Dont get Filipino food often but I wish I could after eating at this place! Tried their Tilapia which was fried, noodles, and bbq pork. Must say the noodles and bbq pork was cooked perfectly really really enjoyed it! Will definitely go back as its close to work.

Ordered the Lechon Belly... it was so delicious. Crispy skin, juicy meat and great sauces to pair it with. I ordered a lot and was happy to find that the Lechon reheats reallywreally using a toaster over (broil). Definitely ordering more in the future.

Their pork barbecue is to die for! I highly recommend this. Make sure to give them a call before you arrive because this usually gets sold out fast. When you come in, they always have a lovely homey atmosphere that makes you feel like you are back in the Philippines. This restaurant definitely earned my respect , this is by far the best Filipino restaurant Ive ever been, their food taste so delicious, I always get quality. I was never been disappointed with their ulam whichever you buy, all of them were cooked to perfection, price is good and portion is huge. I live in Scarborough and I drive to west end just to buy from them. I never leave reviews ever, but they definitely deserve this. Quality and quantity at the same time. Very clean shop and very helpful and friendly service. I didn t know which choice to make, the meats were all so good! Legit delicious! Over time, Ive found my favourite though...dont miss out on their dinakdakan! It is my new favourite Filipino dish and its all thanks to this amazingly run family restaurant. The dumplings with shrimp on top are delectable too! ;) You wont regret coming here and I guarantee youll come back for more.

One of the best Filipino restaurant out there. The lechon is amazing super crispy skin, tender and very juicy. The bbq pork is one of the best I have had, along with the bbq fish. Highly recommended them if youre in the area. Staff is really nice and friendly. Also try their baked goods too.

I was disappointed with the beefsteak I ordered, it was very salty, very sour, and the pancit sotanghon was tough. Hardly edible.

My first time at Lechon Republik...well, it wont be my last! I ordered the following: Paksiw na lechon! Very tasty! Lots of lean meat, mixed with just the right amount of taba, the sauce had the right colour, consistency, pro! Pancit! I dont normally eat pancit. But this was simply perfect. Chucks of pork. Al dente noodles. Seasoned just right. Just hint of fish sauce. Yum! Pork BBQ on a stick! Tender chunks, perfectly cooked, did I say tender? Just a tad bit sweet...but thats how its supposed to be! The kids will love it. Kare-kare! Gold medalist. One of the best Ive had in Toronto. And of course, their signature lechon! Grab some Lipitor and enjoy! I dont write reviews often. But these guys nailed it. Filipino food, done right!

Great lechon, the staff here is so helpful and the food is outstanding! We did a visit for out Sunday night ethnic eating night and had an incredible feast! Including this awesome jalo hallo drink! We didnt have anything spicy, but the pork or lechon was truly a treat!

I enjoy coming to this Toronto location, there is always a feeling of warmth, kindness, and great hospitality. Everyone tries to get to know you, and if it s your first time coming here, don t be afraid to say so, the staff really tries to cater to the individual and will make suggestions. A lot of their food is delicious and super hard to just name an individual dish that is better than the others. Overall, an amazing family owned restaurant to go to. It s rare to find a great traditional Filipino place to grab something that taste just like home or just like moms but this place is just that! So glad we found this place !
