Luxe, gilded outfit with a soaring ceiling offering a menu of French- & American-inspired dishes.
Celebrated my birthday here and ordered the sparkling wine and lobster risotto. We were also given the brioche bun with truffle butter as an appetizer, which was delicious. Ambience was great and risotto was even better. Ordered the soft crab (discontinued) and the thirteen layer chocolate cake during a previous visit and they were divine.
I had a fantastic time celebrating my birthday here over the weekend. The combination of delicious food, wine,/drinks, excellent service, and classy atmosphere made it a birthday to remember. I’d highly recommend this place for anyone looking to celebrate a special occasion, or simply enjoy a wonderful meal/night out. The birthday dessert “the kings ckake” was a real standout. A must try !!
A beautiful restaurant located on the 31st floor of the St Regis Hotel, elegant atmosphere and beautiful decor. The service was attentive, friendly, and efficient. Each dish was deliciously prepared. The Brioche bread was soft and warm comes with a rich truffle butter. The cow boy steak was incredibly tender and juicy, cooked to perfection. The chocolate cake slice was huge, a generous treat on my birthday.
I wish I could give Louix Louis more than 5 stars, it’s definitely deserving of more! I loved everything about it; from the food to the atmosphere, all top notch! As guests at the hotel, we had the opportunity to enjoy breakfast and dinner at the restaurant! The eggs Benedict for breakfast was perfectly cooked! The Illy coffee is delicious! Dinner was an excellent experience! The cocktails are unique and delicious! Everything from the appetizers of shrimp cocktail and French onion soup to the main entree of beef short ribs, were amazing! Of course, we had to save room for the most beautiful and decadent King cake! If you are planning to dine at Louix Louis, the cake is an absolute must!!! Save room!! Our waitress at dinner, Victoria S, was a true standout. She made our dining experience even better. I also have to mention the absolute beauty of the restaurant and the city views! Spectacular!
Atmosphere here is great it has a very classy old school bar vibe with painted ceilings. It attracts a more dress up vibe however the pricing ranges from $30-160 depending on what you are looking to spend for a main. I got the steak frites which was very tasty cooked medium rare and also got The King Cake slice which is of course the main attraction 🍰! It is a massive slice of chocolate cake however they pack it away for you to take home because it is way too much to eat. I think overall it is worth the experience and worth checking out
Went here for my birthday and had a wonderful experience! We got the cowboy steak, truffle mac n cheese, Wagyu carpaccio, and a couple drinks! The bread was AMAZING. The service was amazing and we loved the restaurant’s ambiance. We wouldn’t the truffle mac n cheese but everything else was delightful.
Celebrated my birthday here. Felt welcomed and was treated by these nice ladies. The environment was giving very elegant and classy. Loved the ambience. The food and drinks were good. Plus, they offered me a complimentary birthday dessert with a candle which I thought was super generous. Overall my experience here was great! Will be returning.
I just want to say wow! Yesterday I took my best friend here for her birthday as she and I love to experience new restaurants this was by for our favourite to come by. Every drink that was made were beautiful, the food was phenomenal.. I really had to savour every bite.. I really wish I had asked the names of the servers as they were all amazing, the bartender was very informative to what we should pair our dinners with, as I watched her make our cocktails..she took the time to make sure she was giving us the premium taste to what we were about to drink. The two gentlemen the waited on us were awesome and very welcoming, they gave us great service, made us laugh more then once. I highly recommend this place to take your special some to eat!
The food was delicious, and the atmosphere was super nice. I even got a little birthday surprise, which made the experience extra special. 100% recommend
We chose this restaurant for a business lunch. It was suggested as a quieter, relaxed atmosphere where you can hear each other. Food was fantastic. The crab salad and the salmon was outstanding. Service was very good and the restaurant itself was very elegant. It was great and I will definitely come back another time
poor service, high prices, food is not bad though.
Visited Louix Louis for a friend s birthday, and it was a fantastic experience from start to finish! We ordered a variety of dishes, including Half Dozen Oysters, Beef Carpaccio, Half Truffle Chicken, LOUIX LOUIS Burger, Lobster Risotto, Filet Mignon, and Organic Salmon. Every dish was beautifully presented and packed with flavor everyone at the table loved their meal. The drinks were also a highlight, with expertly crafted Espresso Martinis and Old Fashioneds that paired perfectly with the food. To end the night, we shared The Kings Cake, their signature thirteen-layer cake. It was the perfect indulgence to cap off a special evening. The service was excellent, and the atmosphere was elegant, making the experience all the more memorable. Highly recommend Louix Louis for special occasions or anyone looking for a fine dining experience in the city!
Espresso martinis were delicious. Great burger.
One of the worst experience I ve had at a restaurant of this caliber. The cake that everyone is so fond of in these reviews is, $55. That s right $55 for a slice of cake. It seemed everyone around us was getting them for free for their birthdays, which made it so much worse that on my partner and I s anniversary we didn t get one lol. The funniest thing was that a bottle of water was $9. They didn t tell us this at the beginning and will continued to fill glass our glass (almost) intentionally to charge for another. Go somewhere else if you re looking for a nice meal.
The worst dining experience I have ever had. The waiter was extremely unprofessional and had significant difficulty understanding and communicating in English. Not only did he bring the wrong dish, but he also failed to offer any apology. Instead, he gave us attitude and made faces, which was completely unacceptable. His communication was almost nonexistent he merely pointed at the dishes and nodded to see if we were done, rather than engaging with us properly. To make things worse, he even dropped the condiment bottle during service. The chair I was seated on was unstable and shaking, but the waitress made countless excuses to avoid changing the table, despite the fact that I had made a reservation for a window seat. They outright refused to move us, even though there were clearly empty tables available. We waited for over half an hour after being seated and were left with nothing. When the water cups were empty, they remained that way because the waiter didn t bother refilling them. Adding to the discomfort, the waiter had a strong and unpleasant smell every time they walked by, making the experience even more unbearable. For a restaurant in this price range, the service at Louix Louis is absolutely unacceptable worse than many budget establishments. Even the food was disappointing, falling far short of the standards one would expect. You should really visit other restaurants to learn what proper service looks like. I cannot recommend this place and would strongly advise others to avoid it.
Great atmosphere, good drinks, but slow service. Waited 15 min for a cocktail order twice this past Saturday.
Ordered a cake for takeaway on the website for 5:30, I still waited for it until 6pm normally I wouldn t mind but I d called ahead to make sure it would be ready because I had to be across town for a surprise party and was late because of this. The hostess were lovely though!
had the best birthday cake. Staff was extremely attentive and friendly, definitely will be back. Kings cake is a must but carrot cake was the best surprise, dont sleep on it
If you re looking for a luxurious experience then put this place on your radar. The service was awesome, the music was great, and the virgin cocktails were wonderful. & the triple chocolate cake is ridiculous (in a good way).
Sylvia was athe greatest server! We had a wonderful time at this beautiful restaurant. Everything was 10/10. Recommend the oysters & the salmon. The bread was so fresh.
came for my 3 year ani and we were very impressed. Service was 10/10 - food was 7/10. will be back!
Average. Vibes were cute and restaurant was beautiful but the music was so loud we had to yell across the table. Food was so mid. Flavours were bland. The chocolate cake was so average, you can find better at the grocery store. I do not recommend the mushroom pasta. It was bland and the burrata could ve been better. The best part about this place is the bread and butter. For birthday celebrations, they only give free chocolate truffles. The service was pretty good though.
We always have a great time here.
went to louix louis several times but the most recent visit was not as good the menu changed a lot in a bad way. I ll definitely try again in the future but as of now the dishes only worth 3 out of 5. Parking: Valet parking available
The lunch Chef and kitchen take care and love with our our plates, as much as any dinner service. Brunch is also one of the best Ive ever attended. Just lovely.
What was supposed to be a lovely dinner turned out to be a miserable experience. Let me start by saying our server was amazing and everyone that worked there were wonderful. One of the issues was there were a group of about six (probably late teens) who were in their phones and taking pics/ selfies the entire time. They were at the table right in front of ours so I kept getting the light of their flashes going off in my eyes. They were so disruptive to all the tables around them. One of the tables finally complained and I saw someone go over and tell them no flash photography to be used. What they did was take a pic without flash but held her phone with the flashlight on it right up and of course this shone brightly in my eyes. It really was a miserable experience. They even dragged a chair from another table to put one purse on which I felt was so rude so the staff kept having to move chairs from other tables around. Apart from that the food was good although so overpriced for what you get. I ordered the sea bass which came with nothing else but the fish. No vegetables, potatoes or anything.
I went there to taste the cake! nice view from balcony.
1 star for food (would give 0 if I could), 2 stars for service and 4 for atmosphere. The food was so bland and flavorless. I got a caesar which was supposed to be filled with spices but ended up being super sweet. Then came the endive salad which was also filled with sugary flavors and came in a ridiculous portion/plating style. The main courses were lacking seasoning and flavor in general. The waitress barely checked on our table so service wasnt the greatest. Overall I would say not worth the money for the food you get, but if you like restaurants with classy vibes only, then sure, head here.
Everything we Tried at Louix Louis Located in the Financial District, Louix Louis can be found on the 31st floor of the St. Regis hotel. As its name suggests, the restaurant blends French elegance with American flair. Upon entering, your attention is immediately drawn to a striking 30-foot bar, framed by towering shelves stocked with an impressive selection of spirits. Behind it lies a hidden gem-a secret garden terrace perfect for warmer weather. Above, the ceiling stuns with its mesmerizing design, inspired by the swirling hues at the bottom of a whisky glass, creating a breathtaking ambiance. Featured Menu Items: New York Sour Brioche Rolls & Truffle Butter Burrata & Tomatoes Wagyu Carpaccio Tonnato Chianti Classico Steak &Frites Filet Mignon The Kings Slice Espresso Martini @melissa_foodie.fun
Although the food is somewhat overpriced, the restaurants view makes it worthwhile. The service is professional, and the atmosphere is pleasant.
Food
I had a date night here. The atmosphere was good. The wine menus was extensive. However, the cocktail menu had limited options. The Concorde cocktail is recommended. We had foie gras toast as an appetizer which we did not like at all. We ordered NY strip and frites as our main course which was average in terms of taste and quality of their meat. We tried the short rib which was ok. Parking: The hotel has the parking available.
Although the ambiance was absolutely stunning, the service we had was not great. Our food took about 40 minutes and our server rarely checked in with us. Towards the end of the night, I realized I was incorrectly charged. I was given a bill of $163. I paid $40 cash and said I would pay the remaining on card, which should ve made my remaining balance $123. But somehow I was charged $148 on the machine. Overall I would say the experience was about 3 stars.
Expensive but generally great experience
Located on the 31st floor of the St Regis Hotel downtown Toronto. Visited for breakfast while staying at the hotel. Good choices for breakfast. Nice atmosphere. Service can be a bit slow when crowded. Recommend allocating enough time for the meal.
While we thoroughly enjoyed our meal, our companion s experience was unfortunately tainted by a series of minor but noticeable errors. The service was lacking, and the waiter appeared rushed. Initially, they informed us that they didn t carry brioche to start with. However, by the time we ordered, brioche was readily available, leaving us puzzled. It felt like the waiter was dictating what we should and shouldn t order rather than allowing us to make our own choices. Despite the initial setbacks with our dining experience, the ambiance and overall vibe of Louix Louis truly stood out and helped us end the evening on a more positive note. The restaurant s decor is stunning, blending opulence with a warm, inviting feel. The rich, dark wood, elegant chandeliers, and plush seating create a sophisticated yet comfortable atmosphere, perfect for a special night out. Located at the top of the St. Regis Toronto, the view is just as impressive as the interior design, offering breathtaking glimpses of the city skyline. The dim lighting and carefully curated decor give the space a timeless elegance, and the overall ambiance feels like a luxurious escape in the heart of downtown. With soothing background music and attentive (if slightly overbearing) service, Louix Louis provides a memorable setting that helps balance out any earlier missteps.
Nice food! Service is a bit slow
Love the food here, highly recommend the lobster risotto, it s so good! It s a bit noisy when we arrived, I thought it s a more private place, but other than this, the dining experience is really good! Also, their bread is the best!!
I was looking for a spot to hang out after dinner and continue catching up with a friend who was visiting from out of town, so we decided to head to Louix Louis for some drinks. Located on the 31st floor of the St. Regis Hotel, it is a fantastic spot for a drink if youre looking to splurge a little and enjoy a refined atmosphere. Louix Louis has an extensive drink menu, from beers, well-crafted cocktails, to fine wine, they are able to cater to a wide range of tastes. I was particularly impressed by the selection of mocktails available for those who aren t consuming alcohol. I tried a cocktail and mocktail, and enjoyed both. The high ceilings and dark wood furnishings with gold accents give the space a warm, cozy, yet sophisticated vibe. Finally, the service here was impeccable. From the moment we walked in, the staff treated us like royalty adding to the elevated experience.
Let s be honest that cake just looks great, but doesn t taste that great! I m speaking of the chocolate cake that everybody goes for! The King cake slice. It s huge, so you definitely want to share it with some people. Honestly, I ve had much better cakes and I m not even a cake person. I only like chocolate cake specifically. 5/10 The service was very cold and not very welcoming. The service fell flat.
Such a beautiful restaurant - it is located on the 31 floor of the St.Regis hotel. I saw there were availability and did not book a reservation until the day of my mom s pre-birthday dinner because I didn t want to provide my credit card to hold the reservation but they ran out main dining room availability. So I called them and was told only the bar is available. I still took it since I wanted to treat my parents and when we arrived there, they actually seated us at the main dining room. The room is gorgeous. We ordered foie gras, filet mignon, sea bass, truffle Mac and cheese, crispy brussel sprouts. They accommodated dietary restrictions as well. All were delicious - although my parents didn t really like brussel sprouts but I thought they did a good job with a vegetable no one liked. I did find the foie gras maybe could be a pass. But the filet mignon and the the truffle Mac and cheese are so good. We also ordered a non-alcoholic drink of Louix Spritez and that was delicious as well. Did not order dessert even though I so desperately wanted to try the King s Cake but it was too much and I already ordered a whole cake elsewhere and this may be too sweet.
Place is vibey, servers didn t bring food menus for awhile, didn t know what brand of alcohol in their drinks, low key a little rude. For the money you spend here, the service does not match.
Brunch was amazing, a bit pricy but if you enjoy quality then here s where it s at. This was the Mother s Day brunch, we do also enjoy the royal brunch on a regular weekend
The customer service was excellent, from the warm reception at the entrance to the attentive waitstaff throughout the meal.
Well, overall it was a good 5 star experience but leaves room for improvement. This is not a michelin star. On the 31st floor of bay street. Valet parking so worth it. Getting to the top was a breeze. A very grand entrance into the dining room. A founder than expected music playing for dinning, mind you it was live. May consider a lower volume. Service was quick but could be improved. Good wait staff, drinks arrived quickly, good choice of wine, decent martini and some nice signature drinks. Worth having. Tartar for starters again is not something I would recommend again. Try sticking to classic recipe, the mayo w truffle, staff not sure what was in it, (meeting before service would help) , does not work, it needs acid to balance it out. It was bit overpowering, however good. Truffle chicken was great, the beef rib was delicious as well. I would expect the chicken to be a bit more succulent as it was roasted, as a simple dish which is hard to pull off. It would benefit from a bit more depth of flavour, Mashed was light fluffy, flavour, but lacked the depth youd expect. Maybe some sour cream could help, a touch of broth, butter or cream. Adds to the complexity. The Italian broccoli although I felt it did not complete the dish was delicious alone but together did not work. Suggest to keep with earthy veg, truffle oil, shaving if your going w this theme. Desert was the grand kings cake. Amazing presentation, it is massive! Great experience in one of the thousands Toronto Restaurants. Drinks were excellent. Would we go back. Yes. Definitely a good drop in spot. Parking: Valet Rocks.
Beautiful bar with an outdoor patio that offers glimpses of Lake Ontario and if you look close enough, gothic architecture. We enjoyed our wine and the service was professional. Potential hidden gem status.
Congratulations to Louis Louis
Louix Louis signature The Kings Slice Cake lives up to its name with the decadent 13 layers of chocolate cake, 64% Guayquil Ganache, Hazelnut Chocolate Butter cream, Vanilla Ice Cream, Chocolate Sauce. One word. Heavenly. Melt in your mouth creamy chocolate cake. Its definitely a must try, whether it be for a special occasion or not! We were out celebrating my friends birthday, and it was an impromptu decision to head over to Lioux Lioux after dinner for dessert since we were nearby. (Birthday girl gets what birthday girl wants). Whats a birthday without Lioux Liouxs signature 13 layers Kings Cake Slice? They were closing soon, but they were happy to accommodate us for dessert and drinks. They seated us comfortably. The ambiance and atmosphere was great. Since I wasnt a cocktail connoisseur, our server, Cameron, arranged to have an Espresso Martini for me (not on the menu) to pair with cake. This was a very nice gesture to go above and beyond for their patrons!
Went there to try the famous layered cake for dessert. And it was really good. Food
Lucas made our Thanksgiving brunch delightful. Attentive, friendly, knowledgeable and engaging!! Thank you, Lucas, for w wonderful experience!!! You are a gem!! Rum and Gracee Food
Our server Manny was so attentive, graceful and pleasant. His service was top teir and very professional. I would definitely recommend this restaurant and Manny s hospitality.
I went to dinner on Saturday and everything was fantastic. We did the Macallan tasting and our waiter explained it all very well. Food was great. My favourite however was definitely the music. They had a live DJ and he was incredible which added to the ambiance and overall experience. 5 stars!!
Came by for a drink. Was provided an amazing experience by bartender Min. Came back again the same day to celebrate my partner s birthday. Food
The service and food was impeccable. Highly recommend for a special occasion.
Cute place to grab cocktails. We were staying at the hotel and this was a convenient place to enjoy drinks before dinner. They have an extensive whisky collection. The bartender was pleasant and the ambiance was delightful. We enjoyed our drinks on the patio with great views of Toronto!
A wonderful beautiful designed restaurant for any occasion. The brunch is fantastic, the ambiance is phenomenal and the food always exceeds expectations. Highly Recommended!
The Perfect spot for a luxurious high-end dining experience, for a business meeting, or with loved ones. 5-star service from the moment you exit the elevator on the 31st floor until the moment you leave.
Terrible steaks, just avoid this place.
The food is always good here. What really really annoyed us here during this visit is this. We arrived for our reservation and they gave use a great table beside the window. (See pic) We sat down and ordered drinks as we got the evening started. Then the hostess came over and asked us to move. Saying there s other customers that would like the window view. We didn t want to ruin our evening so we agreed but we re not happy. We then saw an elder couple take the table about an hour later GRRR
Wonderful space and great food...the chocolate cake is a must
You are amazing guys. Thank you very much for 11 th of sentember dining server schedule servers also chef Jayson. Thank you very much all you guys you are the best. We will back again for sure.
Best restaurant
We decided to have our dinner at this place as we wanted to have some food experience and also celebrate a little occasion. We had a bit high expectation for this place, but unfortunately, the food was almost tasteless I ordered for myself - Broccolini and lobster risotto. I would say that Broccolini had more taste that risotto itself. It was just a creamy rice with few of lobsters chunks. Truffles that were on top, didn t give not a flavour, nor aroma. Probably a bit of lemon juice and smoked paprika would make it better, not even talking about salt. Broccolini had a flavour mostly because of cheese on top and smoked taste because of it was a bit burned (it was expected). About my partner choice - was ordered a foie gras and a fillet mignon. Foie gras was a disappointment as it was TOO sweet. I do understand that it supposed to have a balance between salty and creamy foie gras and sweet berry pure (or whatever it was made of), but it was just sweet. Fillet mignon wasn t seasoned well and wasn t cooked to medium as we ordered. It has some weird gamey taste, don t know how to explain it, but most likely you would understand if it s a good meat or from very back of the fridge. The disappointment that made me write this review - is a $9 charge for a freaking S. Pellegrino. Like common, you call yourself a high-end restaurant, but sounds like you re making money by putting an 800% overprice. I truly believe most restaurants do order this water for less than a dollar per bottle. Anyway, we left without being actually satisfied, but it was funny how sometimes some peasants places are trying to get a real recognize without putting efforts in culinary arts.
Expensive for what it is. But also, Id expect a bartender to know how to make a classic daiquiri and not just say they dont have a blender like its a frozen beverage from Cactus Club. If you want to charge $35 for a cocktail, then train your staff to make $35 cocktails.
Our server s demeanor was cold and unprofessional, offering one-word responses without making any eye contact or introducing himself. To add to the disappointment, when the payment machine was handed over, it was accidentally dropped on my lap, and there was no apology or acknowledgment afterward. While I understand that busy shifts can be challenging, the overall experience felt significantly below the standards. I hope this feedback can help improve service for future patrons.
They wouldn t seat us said they were full , so we got the cake for take out and requested spoons and forks. They forgot ! So we were stranded without both seats and cutlery .
Great service and food!
**Review: Disappointing First Visit to Canada and Subpar Service at Louix Louis- St. Regis** Traveled to Canada from the US for the first time, and I was disappointed with the city as a whole, especially the treatment by the waiter/waitress staff at most of the establishments I visited. When we first arrived, there was a medical incident, so the staffs attention was understandably on that guest s needs. However, during the shuffle, we lost our male waiter, who ran off to assist, and we were assigned a young lady. The duo next to us (of European descent) and my guest and I were served by the same waitress all night as we were seated nearly simultaneously (we were first), but she was definitely more attentive and engaging with them. They ordered items from each category (drinks, appetizer, entrée, dessert) on the menu, while we only ordered two drinks and entrees since we had an early flight back to the US and didn t want leftovers in our hotel room. As a result, we were not checked on as frequently and service was slow. That seemed to be a trend in Toronto all weekend. Maybe this is a slower-paced area than the US. Additionally, we had noted in our reservation that we were both celebrating birthdays, yet no one wished us a happy birthday or brought out any surprise dessert. This is customary at most restaurants, and I saw on their tagged location on Instagram just 11 weeks ago that a young lady was presented with what looked like a strawberry shortcake with drizzle and chocolate spelling out Happy Birthday. I m left wondering if we were being discriminated against for a number of reasons. I had high hopes for this place because it s at the St. Regis and has a wonderful vibe and atmosphere upon entering, but we didn t leave with the same impression. Very disappointed. **Update**: As of 7/24/24, the restaurant has stopped responding to my emails. Its been nearly four weeks, and I still havent received the promised refund. I have all the emails to prove our communication. Initially, they claimed they couldnt refund the money to my card, even though it is a nationally accepted cc and had no problem taking the money from my card. They said they would mail me a check, and I provided my mailing address 3.5 weeks ago, but I have yet to receive anything. They even asked me to remove my Google review, which I said I would consider if I got my money back. However, given the circumstances, I wont be removing the review. It will stay.

Great roof top restaurant with incredible views
The waiter was rude while responding to us and after we finished our dinner, paid and tipped, the waiter came to use to question the amount of tip given. I found that disrespectful. In my opinion, the food was not that good.
My dinner was reserved for right after my proposal to my girlfriend. I did put in specific instructions through open table but unfortunately they werent followed but as soon as I notified the waiter of our occasion, he immediately got us some champagne and catered to the occasion. Which was exceptional. Wasnt that big of a deal but when it came to the food, we were taken back by how underwhelming it was. We had been wanting to try this place for some time now and had pretty high expectations considering its listed as a high end restaurant. Overall, Id much rather go to Lee or another restaurant of this status. BTW the 13 layer cake is way over hyped. The Caramel Chocolate Mousse Trio at King Taps is still considered one of, if not the best, dessert from a Toronto Restaurant in my opinion.
The first impression of the restaurant was giving high-end luxury yet classy vibes. The atmosphere and service were both good, nothing over the top. The waiter was nice and accommodating after mentioning we had come from our proposal. However, the food was very underwhelming and mediocre as my Fiancé and I had been wanting to try this place for some time. We enjoyed the bread and house made butter they serve all guests. The burrata was amazing. The Louix Louis Burger tasted very smoked and not that great. The salad that came with the burger was amazing!I had salmon, which was good as well. Also, the 13 layer cake is great to look at, but it is definitely overhyped and not worth almost $60. There are plenty of high-end restaurants that are actually worth your money, and this unfortunately was not one for me.
Stunning ambience, fantastic service! Had the cowboy steak and it just didn t compare to Texas steak . But it was very tasty!
Great atmosphere but lackluster chocolate cake. Order the cake for the novelty but not for the taste/texture. Service was professional.
Lovely staff..really good coffee..food was great.. beautiful ombionce.
Alina helped me reschedule my reservation without the rescheduling fee and was very polite. She is very kind and was very helpful.
The restaurant looked much more appealing online and in photos than it did in person, I was underwhelmed. It was a bit dark inside. The views are great, as you can see across downtown Toronto and the islands. The drink menu is vast, and the bartender was very attentive and informative of which drinks to order, and what their taste would be like (the female bartender was fantastic!). I didn t order any food, as I came just for the drinks before a dinner reservation. I would come back again! Parking: Downtown Toronto, so parking is scarce unless you use the valet or a parking garage Kid-friendliness: Not kid friendly Wheelchair accessibility: Wheelchair accessible
Fun place to eat. Interesting atmosphere. He lobster bisque was good. Service was efficient but friendly enough. However the Grilled Octopus was terrible - the octopus itself was okay but the rest of the dish clashed and did not go together at all.
One of the best brunch spots in the city! Wonderful food with a great view. Great for friends or family!
I was very excited to come to this place as I kept on seen it on social media. The atmosphere is very relaxing with a low lighting. This is a nice place to have few drinks. Food I was not impressed, I ordered Caesar salad, NY steak with fries, Regatoni Ragu. Caesar salad - it came with a long leaves of salad that you would have to cut. If I get a salad I should not be cutting the leaves . It was 25$ NY steak and fries- it come in already sliced steak, the meat is was good and fries was fresh ! Regatoni Ragu- was not that good, pasta was a bit over cooked and not that impressive for the price you re paying. If you re comming here expect a long time to wait for food . We ended up been there for almost 2.5 hours due to wait times.
Great ambience, especially on the loft.
We an amazing time at Louis Louis with José and Jean Micheal. The atmosphere is vibrant and welcoming, making it the perfect spot to unwind after a long day. They were exceptionally skilled and friendly, creating delicious cocktails! We only came here for 1 drink and decided to stay for a few more solely because of how we were treated by these two! Highly recommend grabbing a seat at the bar and have José use his creativity and whip you up something! Thank you both for such a wonderful time!
This restaurant is beautiful and our server was a delight to deal with. However, everything else about our experience was very disappointing. I called 2 days beforehand to ask about halal options, and they explained that their steaks and chicken are halal as long as they are given a 24 hour notice. I called again a day before to make the reservation and confirm that they would have halal filet mignon, and after confirming with another employee, the employee on the phone told me it was possible. When we got to the restaurant the next day, they told us that they have never been able serve halal filet mignon. We were disappointed but proceeded to order the NY steak and truffle whole chicken. The portion size was good, but it had a very unappetizing taste and we barely touched this $85 item, which was basically a grocery store rotisserie chicken with a couple of truffle shavings. The steak was better but for the price, I expected better quality meat. The non alcohol cocktail was delicious. Overall, this was a frustrating and disappointing experience that even the kindness of our server wasnt able to redeem.
Louix Louix offers an unparalleled dining experience, perfect for those looking to indulge in luxury. From the moment you step inside, youre greeted with opulence the elegant decor, soft ambient lighting, and attentive staff set the tone for an exceptional evening. The interior is a masterpiece of modern design, seamlessly blending classic elegance with contemporary touches. The tables are well-spaced, ensuring privacy and intimacy. While it is undoubtedly expensive, the quality of the food, service, and ambiance justifies the price.
Nice food and service. Beautiful interior. The hostess from Ukraine was extremely nice and friendly. Thanks Food
We came here for breakfast a few times. The restaurant looked gorgeous, the service was excellent, and the food was great. We had been here at various times, 8:30, 9:30, and 10:30 am. 8:30 am was a bit busy, due to its location at the financial center, a lot of people appeared to be here for business meetings. It could get slightly noisy. I would recommend coming after 9 am the morning rush. I would love to come back for lunch and dinner!
For the type of fancy business account kind of restaurant that this is, its a winner. The food is genuinely excellent and the atmosphere is great.
Service and atmosphere were impeccable. Food was good but there some misses. The brioche bread with garlic truffle spread was heavenly! For appetizers, the burrata with tomato and sourdough bread was light and packed with flavour. Definitely would recommend. The grilled octopus was cooked perfectly, except for a tiny bit that was charred. The sauce with beans with the grilled octopus was a miss. I felt it was out of place with the grilled octopus. For main dishes, the wagyu short rib was good in terms of it being tender but it lacked that umami depth such as when eating good slow cooked meat that falls off the bone. I was disappointed :(. The lobster risotto was cooked perfectly with good amounts of lobster. However, it felt like it was missing something to make it only a meh risotto. For dessert, it was our anniversary so we were thankful for this delicious strawberry rhubarb mousse. It was delicious.
The service is still great and welcoming, and the place is nice too. However, the taste and quality of the food have gone downhill. It was disappointing compared to before. I will probably be back for drinks only next time.
Love the service and the ambiance. The food was scrumptious. Top class experience overall.
we had grilled octopus and foie gras for appetisers, lobster risotto and wagyu beef short ribs for mains. octopus was slightly overcooked, it was on a sturdier side and was dry. i was craving foie gras too much, i liked it. it could still be a little crispier in the exterior. lobster risotto was mid and pretty heavy. braised short rib was good as per normal standard. cake was way overhyped. dry and sturdy, i was expecting a fudgey cake. vanilla ice cream was yellowish without vanilla beans. i wouldnt order it. one of the places youd go once but not go again, i would perhaps come only for the foie gras.
Celebrated a family birthday. Had good fun. Nice ambiance, sumptuous food, and most importantly an excellent and welcoming staff. The bar was well stocked. Would definitely recommend to all friends and family.
App - Buratta something, amazing Main - salmon amazing, want more 2 drinks (cocktails), ok but could have switched $317 plus tip Atmosphere - questionable clientele due to nearby concert
Excellent dinner here for our final day in Toronto. Highly recommend!
To start their service is phenomenal. Their dishes have a wide variety of flavours enough to satisfy everyone s taste buds. Their ingredients are high quality. Would recommend their king crab salad and rigatoni
We thoroughly enjoyed our evening at the Louix Louis restaurant. Their margaritas are out of this world and the service provided is worthy of every piece of recognition it receives. Carlos specifically was an absolute legend of a gentleman and was a key contributor to making our night so much more special. To say that he is an asset to the team would be an understatement.
Food was excellent and the service was even better but I find this place to be a scam and I will explain why. On OpenTable, their brunch menu is completely outdated, including the prices. We went for the Royal Brunch, which I chose based on the Royal Brunch menu. The desserts were completely different and had I known that I would have not gone to this place, to be honest. It doesnt say anywhere that items are subjected to change and I didnt expect restaurant menu to completely change based on seasons OpenTable shows Royal Brunch for 2 for $140. I called them to clarify and nope, it s $85 per person. A place such top notch like this cant afford to update their menu online? It blows my mind. Overall the food was great but nothing out of this world. The photos are everything we got for two + mimosas. Considering the price, I would not recommend this place.
Ambience and service was impeccable. The bread and Cesar salad was amazing! The food itself was good but I was expecting the chicken to be juicy, it was dry but still tasted really good. The cake it was $55 as a chocolate lover I was super excited but I was disappointed on my birthday. It wasn t worth it. Good experience in general tho.
2024 Update; These greedy people now charge 18% fee for takeout!!! Is this to supplement lost tips if I were to dine-in? Ive never encountered such greed before. If it was a flat fee or packaging fee, that would make sense. But a percentage fee is absurd. I will not be going back and I discourage everyone from giving these greedy people your money. Downtown toronto has many upscale restaurants and bars and lounges who will not SCAM YOU with an 18% fee for takeout.
Incredible ambience, friendly and professional service. Shout out to Cameron our server.Jornandes the manager!! greaaaat food and spirits. Definitely will come back.
Great spot for drinks and eats with a view.
Food was very disappointing. Freshly baked pastry basket was 6 croissants&danishes you could find in any supermarkets. Truffle& Brie Omelet was bland, and my friends French toast wasnt impressive either. Service was ok, the vibe was great tho
Chocolate cake was worth it. Ordered a meal with sunchokes and as a peasant, had no idea it was a laxative. Overall a good spot.
Amazing breakfast. The Crab cake Benedict was amazing, very flavourful. My friend got the pancakes, light and fluffy. Service was fast, and the interior is beautiful.
We were recently in Toronto and discovered the stunning Louix Louis restaurant and bar at the St. Regis. There we met the amazing bartender LEAH who made us feel welcome and special the moment we arrived, so much so, we returned with friends the next evening! The bar/restaurant is beautiful and we will be sure to stop in on our next trip to Toronto!!!#Nuts, olives, chips .Love Nancy and Mark from RI
From the entry of the hotel, to the entrance of the restaurant and guidance to our seats, it felt like a royal treatment. The service was impeccable, food was beautifully crafted and delicious and the decor was stunning to every detail.
Food and service was excellent. It s a great place to have brunch with friends and family. The ambience was great and the noise level was perfect. I didn t have the crab cake benedict (my friend did) but it looks amazing!
Quite the experience. The decor, the service and the food. Worth the $$$. Celebrated an anniversary and the staff made it an experience. Wheelchair accessibility: All accessible. Elevator, wide aisles.
I had been wanting to visit this restaurant for a while, and it did not disappoint. The beautiful decor, interior, and overall ambiance were truly wonderful! The service was also very good with attentive and nice staff. The grilled octopus was perfectly charred and delicious. I ordered the filet mignon steak medium-rare, but it was slightly overcooked for my taste, so I should have asked for it rare. Nevertheless, the red wine sauce was incredibly tasty. Both dishes had delicious sauces. I d love to return on a night to enjoy the view of the city lights. It was a restaurant that I had always wanted to go to. The interior and atmosphere were nice, and the service was also good. The grilled octopus was very aromatic and cooked. I ordered the filet mignon steak medium rare, but I should have asked for it rare as I felt it was a little overcooked, which is my personal preference. Still, the red wine sauce on the steak was delicious. Next time Ill definitely go when I can see the night view.
Went there for their famous king cake for my birthday. It was so delicious. Drinks was also great. Beautiful place with grate service.
One of my new favorite places on Toronto DT! Simply wow in every detail!
Food was delicious and they were very accommodating as we brought our 6 month old with us. Will definitely be coming back to try the chocolate cake!
Incredible venue
Expect nothing less from St. Regis. Outstanding interior design, view, and service. The breakfast here is not snoody, but it is wonderful and well done.
This is an expensive, pretentious place that is reminiscent of the charm of the former name of this hotel. The tables were too close together for an intimate chat and the atmosphere so loud that the people near us were yelling to be heard. And for the record, disrespecting your clients in public is always bad form. The waiter was unfamiliar with the whisky list, the one I chose was not in stock, even though an entire floor to ceiling wall is devoted to the stock of liquor. Cocktails are expensive as are the offerings on the wine and liquor list. We decided on the signature burger and truffle fries. The fries were great. The burger came with a squished bun, unripe tomato slices that were tossed onto a small, severely over salted patty of mediocre beef. The truffle relish looked and tasted like store bought mayo, and there were 2 small, sad pieces of lettuce and the cheese slice barely covered half the patty. The waiter rushed us at every step. The decaf latte was very good, but it was spoiled by the waiter standing beside the table waiting for us to pay the bill. When we had not asked for the machine, I guess he decided it was time for us to go because he got the machine, asked us to pay so he could reset the table for the next guest. Wow.. On the other hand, this place had a slice of chocolate cake that was listed at $55 per slice. We did not try it in part because who pays $55 for a single slice of cake? I wont be back and cannot recommend this as a place to eat.
Such a cool rooftop restaurant - loved the vibe and ambiance. Ofcourse I came for the cake and celebrated my birthday here Loved the burger too! Decent pricing, the server was amazing, super friendly and funny Would come again soon
I went here for dinner on a Friday night to celebrate my birthday. It was not very busy. The service was great. Our server came to check on us multiple times and the food came quickly. We ordered appetizers, mains, drinks, and dessert. We liked everything. The atmosphere was nice and super classy. I m happy with my experience and would go back again.
Fortunate to have attended an event there. Appetizers, the Arancini was amazing, love the slice of truffle on each. Haloumi cheese was okay, what you would expect. Same with the tar tar. Scotch and Japanese whisky selection is very good with choices from the reasonable to the ridiculous. Filet mignon was cooked to perfection and near steakhouse quality.
Nice and ambient place, portions are generous and drinks are proper. Will be back someday!
When we showed up the hostess told us there are no tables. Then I went on OpenTable and I booked a table, and I came back to her a minute later and I told her we have reservation, and she sat us at the table. This is a shameful way to treat customers, they should be ashamed of themselves.
I had my birthday dinner with my best friends here. The restaurant is beautifully decorated! Unfortunately our server looks disliked us, but the manager is very nice. Especially anther Asian waiter brought me a very special birthday cake.
Had the best Mother s Day brunch! Would definitely visit again!
Great atmosphere. Was greeted by a super Friendly and welcoming hostess. The food was incredible. My only issue was we barely saw any servers during our entire seating. I would have expected a little more interaction especially in such an upscale establishment.
Great spot.
If you come here you are going to get fantastic experience starting with the interior of the restaurant, staff and of course the food.
Nice & mellow atmosphere in the Morning/Noon if you re looking for a chill Breakfast/Lunch. Good spot for an afternoon tea as well. Service is great! Our waiter took the time to recommend dishes as well as places to go during our stay in the city. Food
Came here for my bday with my hubby. The ambience and decor is beautiful. It s as described. I expected above and beyond service and food but everything was subpar. It was average, nothing crazy. The ceasar salad was pretty fishy, the wagyu was very fatty. Our server was nice. Everything was ok/standard, but it wouldn t be on my return list.
Gross. Bartenders who will talk about you in their language Only come here if you are 70 years old and it s a corporate event.
My first time visiting Louix Louix with my friend and I. We were celebrating a special night for us which in turn we ordered the Tomahawk steak coming in at 475$. We also ordered the shrimp cocktail which was OK. The steak was not cooked to the medium rare we had ordered, it was not warm in the slightest and was extremely tough to eat. Our grand total was over 500$ as well as a generous 20% tip. We would have loved to truly experience a properly cooked steak but that was not the case. I would not recommend this restaurant.
Worst customer service, wouldn t go there again. Please teach manners to Jenna, if any manager sees the Review. Food
Nice but no magic.
Fantastic location and atmosphere. Cant wait to revisit.
My wife and I had breakfast here every morning during our stay at the St. Regis Toronto. We had the Canadian Breakfast, which was included with our room. 2 Eggs cooked to order, Breakfast meat of choice, Breakfast Potatoes, Fresh Fruit, Bread of choice. Delicious coffee. Food quality was very high and service was excellent.
Second time in a row, didnt disappoint! Jam is awesome as always. Hes very attentive and make sure you have great experience. We will always come back for Kings cake and great service
Louix Louis is located on the 31st floor of The St. Regis Toronto, offering a majestic view of the Toronto skyline. The luxurious vaulted space attracts a mix of business types working from Bay Street and couples looking to splurge on date night. But the bar works great solo thanks to the friendly and chatty bar staff. One look at the beautifully lit dark spirits on the spectacular back bar and your drink choice will be automatic - a well made Manhattan. And Louix Louis has a spectacular take on the Manhattan, the aptly named Bay Street Manhattan. This complex and woody cocktail is a barrel-aged mix of Michters bourbon, Barolo Chinato, 20 year tawny port, dry curaçao, aromatic bitters, sarsaparilla, and tonka bean.
My fiancé took me to Louix Louis for a Valentines Day weekend brunch, but we were so disappointed that they didnt serve their signature chocolate cake during that window of time. Just be forewarned that they apparently only serve the cake after 2PM...The waiter initially was convinced that dessert could be arranged but then returned to tell us that we couldnt order it.
I was here today to celebrate my friends birthday, but the waiter who served us made us angry. When we communicated with him he always responded before we were completely finished, which was rude. We brought our own cake, and our cultural tradition is that the person celebrating their birthday needs to make the first cut, so we asked him to bring ours over. But as he took the box to the table, his arm made a semi-circular motion that resulted in half of our blessing being erased and the cake tilting. When we finished the cake, he cleared the plates, but he brought the bill right over while we were still chatting. It made us feel like he wanted to get rid of us as soon as possible, and after we said we wanted some time to talk, he stood by and looked at us like he was saying, Just pay up and go. We as well as my friend were outraged at his attitude, it was a birthday and we were served in such an unprofessional manner. We tipped 10% and he walked over to the trash can after seeing the bill raised his hand angrily and threw the bill and complained to the colleague next to him. If you dont know what youre doing wrong yourself and think were the ones with the problem. Then Im glad we only give 10% of what we spend, because you simply dont deserve more. Will not be returning to this restaurant and would not recommend this restaurant to anyone.
Based on my experiences, there are three issues I want to highlight for this restaurant. Firstly, the service is not very friendly, especially during the ordering process. When I tried to order something, the waiter, who wore glasses, interrupted me as he did not let me finish the conversation before making the decision. He kept repeating ok, ok, and ok responses to me at that moment. It was very impolite and showed a lack of attention and focus to detail and customer needs. Secondly, during dinner time with my friend, he tried to force us to leave even though we had not done our meal yet. The funny thing was we noticed another table that arrived before us for a long long time, but the waiter did not force them to leave. This difference in customer treatment made me feel disappointed and questioned the restaurants employee training standards. Thirdly, I encountered a rude invasion of privacy when I paid the bill. The waiter stood behind me and kept looking at me when I entered my payment details. It made me feel uncomfortable and unsafe at that moment. Despite his poor service, he did not give me the receipt at the end. I saw him throw it in the garbage and did not give me any explanation. This unexpected behaviour made me shocked and confused. To conclude, for your happiness, I hope none of you guys experience that especially with your friends, family and lovers. I do not highly recommend you guys to come.
great food and drinks with amazing customer service
The food was delicious and our server was so kind, she really made our night! The restaurant is beautiful with a pleasant ambiance. I highly recommend Louix Louis for any special occasion.
A complete surprise food tasting. An amazing delight with such amazing yummy meal with awesome wine pairings. It s a hidden chef s talent and delicacies hidden up his sleeves. An option for private gatherings with your favourite delicacies could be a superb idea.
Update menu changed for royal brunch and food was worse Really great tasting and great value of their royal brunch on weekends! But non of the servers mentioned that the brunch price includes a choice of tea until I ask . Food : 5/5
Great service, amazing food I would definitely recommend this place for any occasion. Food
FOOD: 6/10 DRINKS: 8/10 VIBE: 10/10 SERVICE: 9/10 For such a high-end place, I was a little disappointed in the quality of food and the cleanliness in bathrooms. The sinks have water spills everywhere and the garbage cans are not emptied leaving a pile of used tissues up to customers display. The mirrors were not clean either. The food was not worth the price imho - youd expect skilled chefs preparing dishes that would satisfy your tastebuds, but sadly it wasnt the case for my visit. It was pretty basic, nothing special. However, despite my disappointment in food and cleanliness of the bathrooms, I really appreciated the quality of service. The staff members were very welcoming and accommodating. They wrote a card with Congratulations! as I went there for a special occasion, which made the visit feel somewhat special, and I appreciated that.
After spending over $700 on Valentine s Day, the food was terrible, I would have expected their dinner menu to be better. Also, the service that day was horrible, and we were treated a certain type of way. I wouldn t recommend, and I would give less than 1 star if I could.
Talk about grandeur ... incredible atmosphere and top notch service! I was here for a private event which was the highlight of the conference. Cant wait to go back to enjoy it as a restaurant! Service : 5/5
I would recommend this place to anyone. The food was not fresh and unhealthy. The fruit on the bread had mold and the bread was hard and not fresh. It was impossible to chew it. The cake was artificial , layers were hard covered with bad cream. I do not recommend to eat it. The place was noisy and no live music. I would not recommend this place to my friends if you want to stay healthy with good working stomach. The floor and design doesn t worth it + it s quite expensive for the service they provide.
Went there for Royal brunch with my good friend. I ll definitely go back. Loved it! Parking: Pretty easy. Affordable valet parking right at the entrance of St. Regis, restaurant is on the 31st floor.
I ve briefly visited this stunning place on Valentine s Day before my flight. And I ve had such a great time! All thanks to the server Jam - he absolutely made my day! He made sure service was quick, coffee was delicious, nice small chat - and I was the happiest Hope I ll come back soon - thank you!
Beautiful space. I went for lunch with my husband and we both enjoyed our meals. I had the salmon and spinach salad which was fresh and delicious. My husband had the burger. It tasted good but wasn t particularly notable. Do not pass up on the bread and butter for the table, it s incredibly fluffy and tastes great! The team working there are friendly and helpful.
Delicious breakfast in the heart of the city! Although its on the 31st floor, not many tables have a view. Be sure to ask for one. Food : 5/5
Beautiful place. Great service. Good food. But the background music was too loud. Its not a club. Its an upscale restaurant where business people or couples are coming for good conversations. We couldnt properly hear each other. A bit of a disappointment. Management of restaurants of this level must pay attention to things like that.
Excellent and classy for a night out with your girlfriends. My birthday evening was made all the more special by our waiter Shakil. His kind heart and jokes made our evening!! I will be coming back soon!
Cowboy steak was great! Not too many halal options - just the cowboy steak and truffle chicken. Overall food was good and mocktails were delicious!
Good place to go for a special occasion.
Would return for the Kings Cake - for a chocolate cake, it is great!
This place is badly overhyped. The drinks were not even smoked properly by our server. For a place that boasts about service, quality and alcohol at least serve your drinks properly. It was embarrassing to see the server fail 2 times at smoking my husbands drink. Food was mediocre. Kings cake is literally a McCain cake stacked. Steak was NOT rare as requested. My risotto came out 20 mins after everyones meal. People really need to travel more if they think this place is worth its coin. Very disappointing experience The restaurant has got to be embarrassed of itself. People who dine are not scared off by price but when the service and quality is so lacking, your days are numbered in this service industry. And a huge stain on the St Regis name nonetheless.
We were a table for two at Lunch. The restaurant wasnt full, but the atmosphere felt chaotic. Our server was a bit forgetful and not very attentive; we noticed other tables were receiving bread, but we were missed (we did end up prompting the server). We shared the Beef Tartare, which was lovely and fresh. We both ordered the Lobster Grilled Cheese which was a bit greasy/oily, otherwise great flavour. Both dishes were fine, although didnt live up to my expectations after reading such great reviews. Maybe it was an off day, it happens. The experience hasnt put me off wanting to visit again in the future.
Going downhill which is unfortunate as we ve been coming here for 3 or 4 years. On Sat Feb 2 was probably our last visit. Started off well but then the hostess sat a couple of obvious drunks next to us at the bar. One was so inebriated that he couldn t talk and passing out on the bar, head down right on the counter. Yet they still were served. When their cake arrived instead of helping the idiots with it, bartender just let them at it, stabbing at the cake like they ve never used forks before. We got our bill and got out of there.
Second time visit my husband took me out for a birthday continental brunch and I honestly loved it! Although the appetizers and starters were sweet, the main course was filling. My favorite dishes were the salmon waffles and potatoes & duck. Service was incredible, the ladies serving us put-in lots of care! Music is just as right, comfortable seating. Parking: Underground
Omg- gorgeous every time and the service is the best part- such lovely staff!
It s a good place for business
Beautiful ambiance, we sat at the bar and it was very cool to see the drinks being made. The bartenders were very attentive and had great drink suggestions!
The Lobster risotto is amazing as is the filet mignon! Service was great. Would definitely visit again.
Beautiful restaurant. Shaqeel s hospitality is worth mentioning here.
We had a fantastic evening celebrating my husbands birthday. Though the service was very slow. We enjoyed our dining experience.
Great place!!
Had a really great experience. Staff were very nice and accommodating. They really made the dine in experince great
Fun celebration place with fancy people! FOOD: We came to this place for the Lunar New Year menu and were immediately asked if we are celebrating something. As we looked around, it was a place to celebrate: sweet 16, a birthday, engagement. Hence the celebration place. We started with oysters (substituted with tuna sashimi for people with shell fish allergy). We followed with a dumpling appetizer made with fois gras and pork dumplings (yummmm). The next course was Red Snapper with a salad on the side, perfectly prepared with a nice crunchy char. Finally, the red bead pudding dessert sealed the deal. I paired my dinner with a nice rose from Salento, dry and perfect for the fish. SERVICE: The service was amazing. Friendly, attentive, and providing the right description of all of the courses. I was impressed and enjoyed the service immensely! Bravo! I only had similar experience in the best restaurants in the city. ATMO: The atmosphere was very posh, beautiful chandeliers and an impressive whiskey bar. The people were all very posh as well; a bit too posh for a simpleton like me. But the staff did not bat an eye at me being underdressed. Again speaks to the values this restaurant has at the core. Definitely recommend!
Restaurant located in St Regis hotel. Honestly the food was just alright. Quite expensive for what you get. The 13 layer cake is good but very, VERY dense. My wife and I took it to go and ate it over the span over a week. Expect $150-200 per person for a full meal with drinks
JAM AND CAMERON WERE OUT OF THIS WORLD. I mean absolutely insane. Some of the best in the city. Was there for the valentines menu. Bread was lukewarm at best, the dessert felt like it was prepared for a bit and then eventually served but the chilean sea bass and steak were out of this world. The lobster tail was definitely on the smaller side but still delicious. 10/10 recommend on the basis of service, I mean these guys did a fabulous job. Wish I had servers like them every where I went.
Worst Valentine dinner ever. The best of whole dinner is the chocolate serve after the bill is given. Extremely disappointed dinner for the price of 275 per head, only serve one starter, one (saltly) entree, and one horrible dessert. It is unreal. Will not go back for sure.
I was celebrating an anniversary dinner at Louix Louix and did not think the entire experience was worth the price point. I ordered the risotto as my main and it was so rich I felt sick later that night. We also ordered the kings cake which was not worth the $55 price tag for sure. It was so dry and just not worth it at all. Service was alright, nothing amazing or terrible. Overall was a little disappointed in the meal overall and would have expected more for a restaurant inside a 5 start hotel given the cost.
Ambience was great.. Food was ok
The servers were prompt! Food came quickly and was filling Desset is a must have ! Great dinner over all! Food : 5/5
I feel obligated to forewarn others that the food here is mediocre. The expectations are if you are paying $200 pp for dinner it should be a memorable experience. The food is equivalent to many average family restaurants with uninspired plating and average quality. Think Milestones or the Keg but double or more the price. The marquee cake is low in moisture and is a little worse than Betty Crocker or Duncan Hines. There is a solely a lack of balance in the food (eg. $55 cake comes with one scoop of ice cream and almost no icing to help the dryness, too much salt on the fries, no finesse in the cocktails, beef tartare is like ground hamburger served raw with dry toast, etc.) and again average quality cuts of meat. Remember this is run by a corporation and you realize there is little pride in the head chef to elevate the cuisine and it shows. We didn t even feel compelled to take pictures of our meals as we eat better at home.
Excellent spot for our birthday dinner! Great view, and a great meal. Food
I was very dissappointed with our dinning experience. For an upscale restaurant they fell short on food and service. We had a large party and were made to take the fixed menu and everyone agreed that the food was adequate and below our expectation. Same with the service. And to add insult they charged a 2% admin fee on the bill total. With so many great options for dinning in toronto. I would not recommend Louis Louis. You can do better.
delicious egg benedict!
Such an odd experience! Aesthetically the place is beautiful however all the waiters didn t seem to know English well, they all had odd mannerisms. Ie. drinking pop from a glass and they would refill it with water rather than getting you a separate cup, refused to change our plates between courses. The food was mediocre at best. Was sadly disappointed with our experience
You expect a much higher service level with the higher money for this menu but the service was close to regular restaurants in the city with more reasonable prices. The food was good but not excellent and doesnt match with the price.
Unfortunately we didn t manage to dine here so this review is solely based on my experience with their service or rather lack thereof. I booked brunch for my daughter s 18th birthday and requested 2 royal brunch and 2 a la carte (the 2 kids weren t into the royal menu but really wanted to go for the experience). I received a call a week before the reservation to notify me that my request couldn t be accommodated as the entire table either had to have the royal menu or the a la carte. They explained that different menus would impact the flow of the food and the flow of the kitchen and ultimately the experience for the customer. I told the hostess that my husband and I were dinning with our 16 and 18 year old teens and weren t fussed about the pace of the meal or some dishes not coming out at the same time. We wanted to come to celebrate the special occasion and dress up. She was adamant that there was nothing she could do so I requested a call with a manager. While I waited for a call, I also decided to email the restaurant only to find that the domain doesn t exist. I then tried to contact them via IG and never received a response. After waiting a couple of days for a call, i ended up calling back. I was told that the manager was in a meeting and there was absolutely nothing they could do to accommodate us. I suggested splitting the booking so that they could treat us like two separate tables. To this, I was told that if we did that they would seat us in opposite sections of the restaurant. At this point, we decided to cancel the reservation. It was super disappointing and also very surprising that a restaurant that positions itself as so high end has an invalid email address, nobody monitoring their social media account, and is so unwilling to make small accommodations. I hope that someone in a decision making position will see this and use it to improve their offering for future customers.
I came here last night, not only did i reserve 2 weeks in advance for my birthday they still couldn t deliver.! There was nothing special about the food, i ordered the cake the second i came in and it was confirmed, only for the waiter to tell me after my meal there s no more cake ?? Funny enough everyone who came after me where being served cakes, so it s either y all prioritize your customers or you guys are racists. Only for the manager to tell me they reserved since, i booked 2 weeks ago make it make sense. Yall knew it was my birthday, Worst service I ve ever seen. Soooo disgusted. I should ve gone to a better place, teach me well not to follow TikTok recommendations !!!!
