I really wanted to try out Mandy’s and I can say that it was definitely worth it for me! The staff were super friendly and kind, and I love all of the menu options and how much variety there is. The interior and aesthetic is very beautiful, instagrammable and clean. I loved my salad too! It was really fresh and crisp, tasted super delicious and the portion size was decent for the price imo. Would definitely come here again regularly/for take out as well and recommend it to others!
Mandy's Salads is a charming restaurant that offers a variety of delicious salads and refreshing drinks. You can choose from their house-made selections or create your own custom salad. Mandy’s has has a pleasant and inviting atmosphere. With Diverse Customers can select from pre-made salads or customize their own. They offer High-quality ingredients and the salads are made with fresh, premium ingredients. The staff is known for their courteous and helpful demeanor. The restaurant maintains a clean and hygienic environment. Some customers may find the prices to be on the higher side but that’s the price you pay to be healthy. Well worth it. Overall, Mandy's Salads is a great place to enjoy a healthy and tasty meal.
Great salad. Had the Lumberjack, I really enjoyed it. It was very expensive though, $23 + tax and tip. Seating outside was ok but it was a bit congested. Should take one table out to free up some space.
My go-to for a generous serving of freshly made salads, soups and great lattes! This is my second time at the Ossington location and both times I’ve left extremely happy and feeling well fed! I ordered the peanut butter curry soup and The Fave. I was so impressed with the homemade honey mustard dressing. Everything in the salad worked well together and I found myself devouring salad for the very first time in my life!! The location is a beautiful, well-kept and decorated quaint little cafe. We sat on the bar stools with cute mirrors and decor all around. The staff are always very friendly. Mandy’s also has quite a bit of merch, snacks, fresh cold pressed drinks and amazing cookies at the checkout that you cannot help but want. Highly recommend Mandy’s for your next lunch date!
Got the book from Montreal, glad to finally visit the real store in Toronto. The grain and smoothies are the perfect summer lunch. Staff are super friendly and attentive. The server took time to explain the history of the place and the founder, and introduce me with the second book.
I got the Peanut Satay Salad(Vegetarian) as a lunch haul, which was great. My third time visit after a bad experience with Mandy’s, totally redeemed, this was rad! Yummy flavor and solid seasoning, the salad was actually awesome and super refreshing delicious. Totally dig the peanut vegetarian mock which was super yummy, very decadent and perhaps a bit too heavy handed with the peanut satay to be honest. Support local Canadian businesses
We had heard about this place through a friend from Montreal and I must say that IT DOES NOT DISAPPOINT! The vibe is edgy while being very inviting. The staff are extremely friendly without being in-your-face while you are in the midst of eating. Ossington is without a doubt the place to hang out these days. This old man (me) might have stuck out, but for some strange reason, I/we just blended right in. Now let's talk about the food. Portions are very generous without being "American-Sized". the best part about their food is that it can satisfy you and fill you up without making you feel bloated. The ingredients are so fresh that they immediately capture your attention as your mouth processes all the taste layers and textures. LOVED the plant protein in my Peanut Satay Salad! Will definitely do that one over again. My partner had the Wile Sage bowl and could not finish it. Interesting note. The tables all have a water carafe with fresh water at room temp. Believe it or not, this is the best way to drink water, for health reasons. Tip of the hat to the store manager who was so kind. We had a lovely quick chat with her to find out more about the "Mandy story". Super highly recommend. It is not a cheap place but neither expensive, Great fresh food comes at a price and in this case, had terrific value.
I came in with a headache. Now could this be from my lack of food or water till 4pm? Maybe! But the freshness and slight sweetness of the Cobb salad instantly made it go away LOL I think salads one of those things where if it’s simple enough, you’d make it at home, but Mandy’s have a really good variety of salads with a lot of ingredients! I think if I ever want just one portion of salad, I’ll definitely be back! It’s expensive (~$20) but the portions are really big so it’s worth it for me! I didn’t get any protein (except the bacon bits it came with) and I was plenty full at the end. If you have a small stomach I’d recommend getting the sauce on the side so you can have not-soggy-leftover-salad. :) The decor is SO cute, but the seating is limited so if you’d like to sit it, come at a time it’s not so busy. Thank you for having me! I’ll be back :)
The food here is great but on two different occasions, including just yesterday, Ive ordered a grain bowl for takeout and asked for chicken to be added, however, NO CHICKEN was added despite the person taking the order putting it in and charging me $6 for it!! The first time it happened we were able to catch it because we were still nearby and the staff was apologetic. However, yesterday I had driven 45 minutes back home before we noticed. Super annoying especially given the price of the food here. Based on the food quality I would give it a 5/5 but given this obvious issue with poor communication between the cash and the kitchen staff (or perhaps just an issue with kitchen staff), I have to give it 2/5
Aside from the salads getting remarkably smaller over the past year, I just picked up a large matzah ball soup. The balls where like blobs and the container was not full. So with 4 blobs in the container that was not full. How much soup did I really get?
Expensive and left me hungry, I ordered pizza an hour later. Chicken cube chunks reminded me of grocery store pre cooked chicken packages. Salads were tiny. One was a build your own salad and it was the size of a side salad since we made it very simple - kale, chicken, Parm. NOTTTT goin back.
Great healthy food choice in Toronto! Delicious food and friendly staff! Love it!
We spent a gala time while enjoy the vibe & such flattering ambience. Especially an employee named Kanika was really helpful while choosing the dishes & timely service.
Not impressed with the salads/coffee
Came in the other day and Jhenica and Ishika were amazing! Grateful for the service!
Was visiting from Montreal, was pleased to see how authentic this Mandys was to the original one from my home town. I had trouble with our payment and manager helped us out perfectly.
If you like wildly overpriced stale leaves come here If you want a good salad, youre going to be disappointed. Food : 1/5
So disappointed that the raspberry lemonade cap had mold on it, disgusting
Allison M is amazing!
Visiting Daughter and Granddaughter s as a treat .. I drove from the Greek Village / Danforth to Mandy s to get there special Salades for my wife and daughter. Now that s a drive.. The food was excellent.. parking is very Tricky on Ossington..
Had an unpleasant experience today at Mandys where we often go for mid afternoon salad. New staff was rude and unknowledgeable. Upon walking in, we were told to order at the counter first before either of us was allowed to sit down, although half of the restaurant was empty and there was no line at the counter. During ordering I asked about leaving out the soy-based morsels in one of the salads, but the cashier had no idea what soy product I was talking about. Food was good as usual, and we tipped for the service anyway. Has Mandys changed owner/management, or was there just poor training of some new staff? I am both curious and concerned.
Service was so slow, stood waiting to order for over 10 minutes and the restaurant is empty. The cups of water are extremely dirty, we asked to change them twice and still weren t satisfied. Would prefer to take the salad to go.
** This is a brand evaluation ** feat Dominique custom brand amplification package by JEDIHIPHOP 2024 Mandys aesthetic is dialed in, their clientele and staff alike feel well-treated, and as one customer shared with me in Bellwoods two days ago they basically make it feel ok to buy $40 salad.
Fabulous salads. Huge portions.
Such a cute spot. Very lovely atmosphere and delicious food! Excellent for vegetarians. Thank you!!
Perfect quality , healthy food I ordered a salad wrong and I didnt like it The manager was kind and respectful and she give me new salad Really appreciate their good customer service Food : 5/5 |
The washrooms on Thursday were disgusting.
Love this place. Very consistent even though delivery services. They pack everything properly and most important they use fresh ingredients.the staff has also been nothing but accommodation to any side notes or requests. Thank you
Not worth the price and it doesn t taste so good. I got a salad and a smoothie for 40$ and they didnt add all the ingredients in the salad. It was not worth more than $10 and the smoothie was a thick with no flavor. Not sure how they justify that price point with the kind of food they serve.
It was great the first time, so I brought my husband to try it. Unfortunately, he found a piece of hair in his salad. They apologized and brought a new one, but when I asked for a bowl to share, it was filthy. I won t be coming back.
Probably the worst salad I ve ever had and looked it too. Overpriced for what it was, No flavour in the dressing, lettuce was super bruised and soggy/slimey, chicken and bacon felt like what you buy pre made at a grocery store, nothing tasted fresh at all.
It s a hit or miss the tuna was extremely horrible. I don t know why I thought fresh sashimi, and got some canned tuna. I ended up customizing my bowl and she mentioned that it will be about the same price as a regular bowl even though I added one item it ended up being significantly more than what the original was. I believe it was 17 while I paid $28 for a salad. Make sure you pay attention to the person taking your order as they will not be as smart as you think definitely I was not as smart as I would ve hoped today because I spent $30 on a salad and it tasted like $3 dollars.
The yorkville location has got to get it together! I placed a group order 1 week in advance. Date of delivery they confirmed it will be on time, then kept delaying it. Over 1.5 hours later still no food. Nobody was answering their phone line
Its a salad Ok its a well known thought out salad, but just salad. $$$ Food : 5/5
everything is gorgeous in this place. I wish that my house was decorated this way. The food is a little expensive but totally worth it. Big portions. Kate Is the best my boyfriend almost left his bracelet there and she sprinted down the road as we were walking away thank you so much!!!!
I ordered the lumberjack salad which costs $23.00. Unfortunately, this is the second time ive received my salad with no chicken. The first time, i was dining in and able to tell the staff. This second time however, i only noticed when i got home 15 minutes later. Its really annoying paying nearly 25 bucks for a salad and not even getting what you pay for. Would recommend folks double check their food, as the staff likely wont before giving it to you.
Mandys is a bit of an institution in Montreal, and with Toronto locations, we can now enjoy locally. Mandys came recommended. Upon artival and when trying to order, a number of food items were not available and the staff were pretty busy organizing bags upon bags of UBER, Foodora, etc. deliveries. Maybe we were there at the wrong time. In any case, we sat outside on the nice, clean patio. The food arrived fairly soon after and was fine with very large portions and fresh ingredients. Good food and ambience, service was OK. Recommended for a lunch/brunch/salad and juice.
Our son and daughter-in-law brought us here. We are new to Canada and not very familiar with restaurants. We really liked Mandy. Cozy, calm, with a beautiful interior, located in a quiet place. The food is tasty and healthy - the choice of salads is impressive: we each ordered a different salad and tried everything, very tasty. There is also food delivery, which is also convenient. We had a nice time.
I got the wild sage bowl at Mandys on Ossington in Toronto. Definitely didnt look like the beautiful pics on their website. My bowl was mostly rice. The rice was hard and tasted old, cold, and dry. There was hardly a sliver of kale in sight. I eat it because I was shy to complain and hungry. I wish I hadnt. I was sick all afternoon. I gave the one star because the dressing was good and the person at the counter took time to answer my questions about an allergy. The whole experience cost almost 20 bucks. Ugh.
Loved their Fave Salad .
Simply the best salad I have ever eaten.
Great salads
Would love to eat here daily!
I ordered the peanut satay salad and I was disappointed that the greens were not super fresh, especially for the high price. It came with mock chicken which tasted like old tuna better to ommit this and either use real chicken or upgrade your tofu options
Rude staff, poor food and cold chicken. Too Expensive for what is served
Mandys is a cute little 2 step walk-up spot with limited seating inside. Nice decor, clean and well lit. I ordered the veggie protien bowl with chicken & the Cobb salad with two lemonades, $62 in with 15% grat. You do get a lot of salad, enough to take home for a snack later. The protein bowl was a bit too salty and under dressed, same with the Cobb. Theres merch for sale and you can order ahead, if not expect a 10-15 min wait.
Delicious. Recommend dressing on the side to not over dress the salad.
This is the cutest restaurant you ll visit in Toronto! It had a Parisian Coffeeshop vibe and I think catered a bit more toward a female crowd. So great for a date or a girls lunch. Salads are also amazing. My words can t do justice so just look at the pictures.
The salads were amazing! The staff was attentive and so helpful when it came to any questions we had. The aesthetic of the restaurant was perfect. I am both happy and sad that there is not a location close to my work or home otherwise I would spend all my money there!
I ordered a salad for take out and paid $5 for tofu. When I sat down to eat my salad an hour or so later- there was no tofu. I called them and they told me to fill out the lettuce help you section on the website, and someone would reach out to me in 2-3 days. It s been over a week and no one has contacted me.
Wonderful place to grab a nice filling salad. Atmosphere is wonderful and such a refreshing vibe.
Awesome place
I love a good salad but I do not feel the cost here reflects the quality of the ingredients that they use. It s surprising that they use cheap, unhealthy canola oil for their dressings for a supposedly $30 gourmet salad. Please use olive oil or another high quality oil for your dressings.
Always a great time and very delicious
Boyfriends and husbands beware: atmosphere is super uncomfortable. This place was designed for Instagram and oozes with fakeness. Salads are solid though.
The atmosphere of this place alone is worth the visit! But the salads are super yummy too! Had lunch with some girlfriends and it was fantastic. Even though it was busy (it s a small place that s popular) the staff was kind and accommodating! It was great to also see how many people stopped in for take-out also! I am returning 100%. Dietary restrictions: One of my group has dietary restrictions and they were accommodating and went through the ingredients with her to ensure she ordered something she could eat!
All the vibes here! Love the service, the decor, the food.
Service and atmosphere are awesome, great to sit and eat if you can find a spot (pretty limited seating). Salads are good, and great portion sizes but both mine and my sisters were quite sweet.
Dont deceive ppl with next to no protein. Worse portions than the OG montreal place. To add some perspective, the dressing for my salad was more than the protein in it Its so cheap of you when I have to search for my protein. Further the servers didnt allow me to cancel my order when I asked politely. Meanwhile, the small female server went back to the kitchen to diss on me to her chefs (who dont even know how to make a damn salad). Shame. Do better.
Unprofessional servers. Way sub par food-- just give you a pile of leaves in the name of salad which you can get at loblaws. Go to Papi Chulo s on Ossington or the bread shop next to them or the pho place in front of them. Heck go to McDonalds -- youll have better food there.
The salads are expensive and well worth it!
Crunchy sesame
Such a lovely cute place and the food was fresh and delicious
Obsessed
The gold standard of customer service. Ordered a custom salad at the restaurant (expensive, but good quality), with allergies to: gluten, dairy, and egg. There was miscommunication, and when I got back to the office, I saw lots of egg in the salad. Called them - and they were super apologetic, + VERY quickly made a new one AND had an employee drive it over to me. Would recommend to anyone, thanks to the service!
Great service, everyone was really nice. Loved the place and the food. Food : 5/5
Excellent place with wonderful attention from the staff, definitely a place to enjoy a delicious salad
20 grams of chicken for 8 dollars?
lumberjack don t know why im eating this store-bought-like salad for $22, basically pay for the environment. Feeling so dumb
I usually love going to Mandys as it is very conveniently close to my work. The salads are my favourite go to meal and the Lil Fave is my favourite salad from Mandys because of all the fresh greens but this salad I received today had no Avocado in it as it said it would. There wasnt a substitute offered and by the time I got back to work I wasnt able to go back out to return it.
The service at Mandy s is seriously impressive, I was met with a smile and was provided with salad options that suited my taste. The food was delicious and the portion size was perfect, give this place a visit ASAP.
Pretty annoying to order chicken and to get home and see they didn t add it.
Best salads in the city
$20 for a huge bowl of cold rice and tiny handful of raw broccoli. Thankfully I did takeout so I could add more ingredients at home
Honestly the whitest restaurant I ve ever been to. If you want culturally appropriated over priced salads. This is your spot.
Love this Mandys location! Food is always well-prepared and tasty, staff are friendly and helpful and the atmosphere is welcoming.
I wish they d bring back their summer mushroom caesar salad.
If I could eat here every day, I would. It does tend to get very busy, especially during the lunch hour and on weekends, but its so worth it! The interior decor is super cute, and love that they sell recipe books and salad dressings.
Absolutely fabulous lunch.
Great food, service, and interior design!
First off, we love Mandy s, which is why this is so disappointing. Simply put; it was short on ingredients. There was barely any chicken, and both salads were light in every way. I m hoping this is only because it was the end of the day, but our food generally sucked. We will, in all likelihood, order again, in hope that it will be back to what we usually expect, but maybe not for a while.
Great salad, very expensive, nice place , 2 of us shared a salad and it cost $40 with a cookie and tip. The Cookies are so good we bought more to take home.
Only positive experiences here! Big salads, bigger flavour, and appreciate the patient customer service
Great place for salad, a little pricey, but its worth it. Give it a try
Super yummy salads. Cute inside, but the tables as really close together.
Simply the worst customer service ever... The staff are literally so rude & not accommodating whatsoever. Very picky about modifications or substations. Sorry only two modifications per salad or else you have to do a custom one . Sorry you can t sub XXX for XXX If you pre order a salad on their app you are unable to swap ingredients which is stupid. Very annoying how you cannot order the seasonal salads for delivery under the app. When you call to make modifications over the phone they claim it s not allowed. Yes, the salads are very tasty and very unique. The portions are very large and all the ingredients are super clean and fresh. however the customer service ruins the entire experience. Vegetarian options: Lots of options for those with dietary restrictions
Love the decor and the food was excellent. Shared a salad with my daughter and it was delicious! Cant wait to go back
Love their cute and energetic atmosphere of the restaurant and their sesonal salmon salad!
What a great experience... lovely staff. Awesome salad
Finally had to check out what the hype was all about and I am glad I did! We went on a Saturday at 11am right when they opened and there was no line thankfully. We ordered the hoisin duck salad and salmon salad which is the seasonal special. We also had the bone broth and a chocolate chip cookie. Hoisin duck salad, excellent flavour overall. The salmon salad was great also, I asked for lightly dressed and it was almost no dressing which I dont mind. Just keep that in mind, they dress salads lighter than a typical restaurant (In a good way), even if you order a salad as is, it will be dressed properly and not drenched like some places do! The salmon was in large bite size chunks and had a mild sweetness to it which we liked. The bone broth is excellent. The cookie just was okay, had maybe too much vanilla or not enough salt Massive salad portions, felt impossible to finish and I took the rest home for later :) The staff is so friendly and the place was all pretty decorated for valentines. So glad I came and will be back. 2 recommendations - avoid peak hours to avoid lines and crowded dining experience - get the salad dressed as is, light dressing is too light Great food, will be back soon!
I was told to try this place out , and boy did it ever deliver the deliciousness! - I was new to trying this out, and the Caesar was outstanding! I will most likely be back! The service was quick and easy. Although it s a bit hard to hear in the restaurant the server I got was so nice. Definitely worth a try! 5 stars
My go-to when I am feeling like a takeout salad. Theyre always fresh, tasty and the portions are generous. Staff are always quick and friendly too!
Amazing salads. If you guys changed the Tamari recipe recently, change it back. That stuff used to taste like nothing else. Edit: I believe they changed it back, will order once more. If so, this will be a 5
Love the salads here
My boyfriend and I are in love with their salad bowls. The place is always packed around lunch time and rightfully so! The cookies are perfectly moist. My favourite is the green goddess dressing. Can t wait for the cook book!
We both let out an audible wow! as the server laid the salads on our table. Went with the Hoisin Duck and the Falafel salad. Good price for what you pay for. They don t skimp out on the vegetables and the presentation is beautiful. The salad base was fresh, perfectly dressed with the sauce. YUM. The aesthetic is way too cute! Definitely worth stopping by if only just to check out the small giftwares section. Will be coming back for sure.
Initially this place was great and I used to recommend it to everyone. Lately its gotten really bad and the customer service even worse. The chicken is pre-cooked and kind-of reheated, making it tough and dry. They dont seem to pay much attention when making custom salads as lately they have always been missing something, or included a wrong ingredient. They also dont seem to put much effort into balancing the ingredients, like the last time I got one sad little broccoli - just one! I dont know whether these issues are specific to this location, or if this is a company wide problem, but I would not recommend this place anymore. And frankly given the deteriorating quality, it is WAY overpriced. Do better Mandy!
Love the interior design and the staff is super friendly! I always get The Fave salad and I love it, while it is simple it is a big portion and the dressing is so good.
The salads are every bit as good as everyone says, but I was really floored by the green juice (01)! Truly the best green juice I ve ever had!
Okay literally every time I get a salad here I feel like I have a mild bout of food poisoning. Do you wash your produce here?? I eat at a lot of other restaurants that have a similar vibe to this one and I never had the same physical symptoms
I made sure to ask for my salad to be mixed, when i get home, the dressing is in a to go cup. I think get the order right is not too much to expect??? I hope I dont have to grow my own veggies next time.
Already loved Mandy s from trying it out in Montreal, but this Toronto location is as good! The vegan options are great, and there are so many ways to customize your salads! It is incredibly busy on Friday evenings, but there is a counter with stool seating that gets cleared quickly, so stick around and you ll definitely have a seat. Vegetarian options: Lots of vegan options!
Great place for clean eating the portion so big
Love Mandy s, this place makes me crave salads all the time! It s the biggest bowl of salad and they have the biggest list of ingredients to add. The only complaint I have is they don t have a symbol to show what items are gluten free or offer gluten free desserts. 10/10 recommend trying Mandy s!
I ordered a salad and added chicken for 5$ the portion of chicken is tiny.. literally some chicken dust they put on top of my salad.
Cant get enough of this cute spot! Yummy salads, cool interior design and friendly staff! If you wanna try their duck I recommend you going there at least 2-3 hours before they close.
We tried only coffee and tea and drinks were very good. I like the outside seating area.
Delicious salads, shakes, and healthy options. Great lunch spot. Theres also a huge location in Montreal which was spectacular. The date smoothie was my fave. Talking Toronto with Naz
My favourite salad place till today :/ they changed the menu and removed my fav salad (harvests) plus no more goat cheese too. Very bad
A little disappointed in my salad. It was large and full of ingredients, but lacking in flavours and magic that made Mandy s original location in Montreal great. The to go utensils and bowl are much to be desired especially when your purchasing a premium salad. Decor and service great.
Best Service in town!
Amazing food would go again
Salads are incredible!! Very healthy, great ingredients. A little slow and pricey.
Delicious! My favourite place for salad. It s vegan friendly and the tamari chicken is heavenly! 10/10 recommend
Definitely better to eat in than to take out - the dine-in bowls are twice the size as the takeout bowls and maybe then worth the price. Good salad though
Good service considering how busy Mandy s was. Take out salads were just okay.
Loving the theme inside and out. This place is great for a healthy bite. You need to order first at the cashier and decide if you want to dine in our takeout. You may have to wait outside if you order take out. If you decide to dine in, you will get a table number and may have to find some seating. The smoothies came out quick, but the salad took some time. Then again, it was extremely busy. The acai smoothie was awesome! Extremely filling and tasty. The chicken salad I got was a great portion and great for the price. Definitely recommended for someone who enjoys healthy meals with a nice atmosphere. Great lunch date spot!
Hesitant to order again. Love these salads, but have had too many issues to give more than 3 stars. Please improve your app ordering experience by allowing substitutions and be more mindful with how special requests are communicated to staff by phone. On my last 3 orders, I paid extra for substitutions on request of the staff, only to have the regular items removed and the substitutions never make it onto the order
From Montreal and love Mandys! Visited the Ossington Location and I must say I get the exact same feeling as if Im in Montreal. The staff are super helpful and the ingredients taste extremely fresh. Was a great experience!
Will be going back.
I am extremely impressed by how busy this place always is. Despite that, the food is always coming out really quickly and the service is phenomenal. My daughter keeps begging me for more salads every week.
I was enjoying my salad with many ingredients when I noticed there was an extra ingredient. I stopped eating and immediately threw up. I did not finish my $30 salad and will not be ordering from here again. 4 hours later I am still very ill and nauseous. The juice was ok.
Sadly, the size ad quality has deteriorated drastically since you ve opened. I commented on salad I just bought with no response there was basically no avocado in it and for $$$$$ I am NOT impressed. Have your insta moments at a deserving place that cares about providing the same food they showcase in their pretty website photos
First time going to mandys in toronto, and i really have to say, wow, staff was amazing, & kind. the service at our table was incredible, even got the chance to meet the manager, incredible guy, really ensures that all the clients are happy with their meal, their order, and that its to everyones satisfaction! Luca, hats off to you for creating such an incredible atmostphere, definitely must come back!!
My friend had ordered a salad to be sent to my work yesterday. I was enjoying it until I found a nasty BUG which looked like it had blood inside. I had put a negative review below (Aj Mc with photos) and within 4 hours the owners had 4 of their clients and/or staff try to hide it with 5 star reviews. If you look at the reviews, you will see that the owner will only respond to the positive reviews. Yesterday, I puked for an hour after finding this bug and was very ill for over 6 hours. I was very close to calling an ambulance and heading to the emergency room. The owner has yet to reach out regarding my concerns and I know they can see my reviews if they are replying to the positive ones.
I thought I was ordering a salad but there was hardly any lettuce, tomatoes, chicken (Which you have to pay extra for) or any other ingredient in the menu pictures except....SO MUCH NOODLES! Be prepared to eat a crushed bag of dry Mr. Noodles in your CRUNCHY SESAME SALAD. I wasnt expecting it to be the main ingredient in a $25 SALAD! Very misleading and store didnt really care to rectify the situation
I dined in and got the peanut salad with the tofu meat. In all honesty, I found this spot to be a bit overhyped. The portions were decent, however, I expected a lot more for the price. The salad kind of reminded me of a slightly better version of a bagged salad. I m not sure if I would return.
In theory the restaurant should be allergy friendly, however at least when ordering online it is not. I wish your website more clearly stated the common allergens (dairy, gluten, soy etc) and allowed for easy customization of your bowls and salads to accommodate dietary restrictions without having to create your own bowl. It s hard to know if the tofu is coated in flour or which dressings have dairy etc.
I ordered off uber eats - found a bug in my lettuce. This goes to show they dont thoroughly wash their produce which is extremely concerning for a salad based restaurant. Uber thankfully refunded me however, Im turned off from ever going back.
The best salads that I have in the whole Toronto!!
I was there yesterday for dinner, amazing service, the salad was a good portion, and the service was really good!!
I went with my friends a few days ago and we had such a great time here. All my friends loved the salads and the service. Go for the Peanut Satay!! I m definitely coming back soon.
After obsessing over the cookbooks, we finally visited. We were not disappointed!
Vegetarian options: Salad recipe , wonder . Dietary restrictions: Very very nice and happy Parking: Australia (Malborons and Sydneys. Kid-friendliness: Kid-friendly . Wheelchair accessibility: Awesome ,wonderful working and treating .
Soooo, first time to the actual restaurant. We waited for around 40 to get our food. Water cups were dirty, I changed four different glasses to finally have one without any leftover food stains. My salad was pretty dry so I asked for an additional dressing. Waited for 15 . Asked again. Received a dressing that had consistency of a butter!? Anyway, for sure we are not going to be a returning customer. Oh and did I mention all that was like 60$ experience?!
I love the salads, honestly, but for the price the space is way too small for the amount of orders they are trying to pump out during a rush. It s crowded and chaotic which obviously this leads to disorganization. DON T PRE ORDER ONLINE FOR PICK UP!!! They prioritize anyone who orders in store regardless of whether it s take out of eat in. We waited 15 mins passed the ready by time and watched so many people get their food before us who came in long after. So it clearly could have been ready by the designated time. It s really frustrating to be hungry and watch people who come in and order after you eating in front of you. Pre-ordering should benefit the customer not create more obstacles. Finally, though the staff are all very friendly, good hospitality is knowing when you make a mistake, like forgetting someone s order or pushing it behind to prioritize someone else s, you should own it and at the very least apologize. I m disappointed because I eat here a lot but this put a bad taste in my mouth. I don t like leaving bad reviews but this busy location is clearly missing some key communication and organization. I work in this industry and hope this feedback helps.
best experience of my life, the service and the food was the best i ever had. the staff is so friendly and lovely. i love salads and these are the best ones i had in canada. will come back for sure!
No chicken, no blue (or other) cheese in a Cobb salad = not a Cobb salad. Call it something else. In general it was not bad tasting but feels intentionally light on the core ingredients that actually cost money, so it s pretty clear that you re paying for the decor more than the food. It is essentially basic b central station in there so I guess it all adds up.
Wonderful location and seating, with efficient and friendly staff. The big story here though is the food and value. Delicious salads and bowls with plant diversity and nutrition. Tip: ask for the dressing on the side if you want to control the calories, otherwise go big and enjoy!
Very good and healthy food. Kind of expensive but it is worth it!
pretty expensive for what you re getting, but it s a large portion and everything tastes fresh. don t know if I d come back, but it was solid and just as I expected.
High quality fresh healthy salads with California vibes. Highly recommended.
Trash. Rude staff and overpriced food.
Today was my 3rd time having Mandy s salad . First time I thought the salad was mediocre and over priced. Second time I had the peanut satay and loved it and couldn t wait to have it again. Today I ordered the peanut satay salad and was disappointed. The parsley in the salad had dirt all over it and I found out by taking a bit full. I found other bits and pieces of sandy parsley. I let the staff know and they quickly brought me out a new salad . I was disappointed for a $23 dollar salad a lot of the leaves were wilted and soggy. I was given to chocolate chip cookies which was super excited to have. I saved those for the drive home. They were terrible , so salty and I could still taste the baking soda in them. I do not think I will be coming back here .
Salads are pricey, but in all fairness, they are delicious
Used to be fan of this place. Now its gone downhill. Salad was wet and soggy (before dressing), the greens were not cleaned and dried properly. Chicken topper was inedible and on top of that, the salad came in at $35.00 Disappointing. Will not support again.
Everything is awesome, best salads in Toronto!!!
I love every time I visit Mandy s the salads are amazing and the friendly service makes the experience even better.
The team is extremely friendly. I loved the Mandys experience
I recently dined at this salad restaurant, and I must say, it was a delightful experience from start to finish. The variety and freshness of the ingredients truly impressed me. Each salad was beautifully composed, bursting with flavors that complemented each other perfectly. The atmosphere was inviting, and the staff was attentive and friendly. Whether youre a dedicated salad lover or just looking for a aesthetic meal, this restaurant is an absolute must-visit. Cant wait to return for another delicious meal!
Friendly staff and delicious salads!
This place is so pretty and everyone was so kind and attentive! Cant wait for a new location to be opened
Great place and amazing salads! The staff was super friendly
It was a very delicious salad! Lumberjack salad with chicken, ham and bacon. Very filling and a huge portion! Its worth eating here!
Salads , health eats #Toronto
Guys please bring back the Habibi salad. I dont understand why restaurants take an item off when its doing so well.
Really interesting place with amazing salads. Walking in, I thought I had accidentally entered a beauty salon or boutique - perhaps I had the wrong door? But, no, that is the vibe affected by the decor and part of the DNA as the operation had started within a boutique. Very fun and anything but expected.
They have not only good salad bowls, but also delicious pastries. I liked a classic brownie. This cute decorations is unreal
I love the salads here. Every salad Ive tried are seasoned perfectly and well-dressed without being soggy or too saucy. A good amount of crunch and freshness. My favourite is the crunchy sesame and the Caesar. It is pretty expensive for a salad but the portions are very generous and filling for even big eaters. Would love it if they opened a location in the dt core.
My second time trying salad from here and has to be one of the best salads I ve had. Love how the vegetables are all chopped up into tiny bits, and the dressing is always mixed in perfectly. The flavours of the dressing are unique and go perfectly well with the salads, doesn t taste like your regular bland salad. Had the cookie on the side too which was perfectly soft and chewy. The atmosphere of the place itself is very cute.
Was so excited to visit the Mandys when visiting from Montreal. Luca was awesome and my salad was excellent as usual. <3 Vegetarian options: Tofu or mock chicken
This is a Montreal based restaurant that specializs in gourmet salads, but also serves smoothies, and grain bowls. I always enjoy the salads and smoothies here because of the large portions, fresh ingredients and the right amount of dressing. To date, I have found everything I tried here pretty tasty (including items Ive ordered throguh Uber Eats). The restuarant itself is pretty small with seating for approximately 18 people inside, and some patio space outside. However, the decor at the Ossingtion location is super cute, which makes it a perfect spot for a lunch date, or place to catch up with your girl friends. The staff here are all friendly, and has always greeted me with a smile, and the wait time for your order is reasonable. Its noted that this isnt a full service resataurant. You need to order your food and the counter first. They will then give you a number sign for you to take to your table, which they will recollect when they bring you your food. On the other hand, if you decide to take your order to go, the food here is packaged in eco-friendly containers, and put their cute, pink paper bag with the Mandys logo.
I honestly really enjoyed my salad. We were suppose to go down the street but the restaurant was closed so we came across this place. My girlfriend wanted to try it out, and Im glad we did. I got the lumberjack salad and it was so good. I left full and will definitely come back.
I ve been to the Mandy s in Montréal, so I was excited to try its first location here in Toronto. Right off the bat, very pretty decor and it s inviting. There were so many little things they were selling asides from salads such as healthy drinks, salad dressings, treats, etc. My salad came pretty fast and aside from finding one piece of mandarin in it (I asked for them on the side), it was made to perfection! It was $14 for my salad, I believe I got the crunchy sesame one. I enjoyed it very much and will be back again. Ossington is a very busy street, parking would be a pain in the butt but luckily I got a lift here. The tables are very closely spaced together, which I didn t like. A must try for the days you re feeling healthy!
I had the Crunchy Sesame Salad with chicken and the chicken was cold! The crunchy noodles were literally small bits of raw mr noodles too. I dont understand the hype. Not worth $25.
This is the cutest place ever. I love the restaurants itself for pics and a nice lunch. Although the food is so good the prices are quite insane. My friend got a juice, salad and bottle of dressing and spent $38. Lunch time is pretty busy so its harder to find a table inside but if you take it to go the portions are a bit smaller.
Its not just salad, its a lifestyle.
I really hope Mandy s leadership reads this. Lately you re missing on the consistency and it s disappointing. I ordered the veggie protein bowl with chicken on Uber eats and as soon as I opened the salad you could see from the dark brown that the chicken was so old and stale. It also was super hard like rocks. Why am I paying $5 for chicken add on for a sprinkle of chicken that doesn t even add up to 2 grams? You need to make your chicken add on portions more consistent and also you kitchen staff are getting lazy as I noticed an avocado stem in my salad that I had to bite into and realize . Will no longer be spending my money on your salads
The staff and everything else was lovely. It was really tasty Lumberjack , especially with honey mustard dressing. My friend got the Sabrosa Salad and he could not love it enough! if you like salads, this is a must not miss!
Amazing salads, however, hate the fact that they think it is OK, to insult their customers intelligence, by making their to go bowls smaller, while charging the same amount of money. Not cool at all. Respect your customers please.
It was delicious and a great atmosphere. Love this place
Hi there! I wanted to express my immense satisfaction with your restaurant, particularly the delicious WILD SAGE BOWLS. Ive ordered them many times, and each experience has been fantastic! I have a small suggestion that I believe would enhance the overall experience. It would be great if you could provide macronutrient information for your dishes. This addition would be incredibly helpful for those, like myself, who are conscious of their diet and overall health. It could make your offerings more accessible to a broader audience. Thank you and I look forward to enjoying more of your delightful dishes!
Love their salads. However the take out portion has significantly shrunk in the past 4 months.
First time trying Mandy s, love their salads!
Always love the atmosphere here! The store staff and manager are incredibly friendly! Plus this place has amazing cookies!
I was in the Ossington area on Sunday afternoon so I decided to pop in and grab a salad - unfortunately, couple bites in, I came across a dead bee in my salad!!!!! A DEAD BEE!! Needless to say I was shocked, highly disturbed and extremely disappointed. I questioned whether they even have any hygiene standards, especially considering the high price you pay for a basic salad!! I will NEVER step foot at this restaurant again. This is just soo bizarre! This was also not my first time here - Ive been here maybe once/twice in the past and have found their salads to be overpriced and mediocre - kind of echoing the other comments in this section. Its a highly overrated restaurant to begin with and finding that bee in my food just completely turned me off from this place.
Yes the restaurant is insta-pretty but how s the food you ask? You might turn away cause you think it s pricy but the price relates to how GIANT the bowls are. My salad was filled with healthy fresh delicious vegetables and very little filler. I loved the vinaigrette and wanted to bring home the bottle. The place itself is tiny and lunch time is a fight to get a seat. Wait times can be long but that s cause the sheer number of take out they have to do in addition to all the in person orders.
Variety of salads, drinks, snacks, dressings... I also bought their two recipe books. The staff is very nice as is the place, very welcoming.
I m a salad girl so let s get right into this I absolutely adore the concept of an all salad restaurant. The vibe and decor is so cute and it is cozy for a cute lunch date spot. There isn t a lot of seating inside so you ll have to hope that they have a spot or go extra early to claim one. I love how they had a variety of salads to choose from and that they offer the option to add a protein such as chicken. That being said, the menu is a bit overwhelming and there is a lack of visuals to show what the salad looks like which made it that much harder to choose. I ended up ordering The Wolfe with chicken. The salad was huge and extremely tasty with all the different ingredients combined. But, I couldn t finish the entire salad and since it costs a pretty penny (over $20) you re going to want to finish every last bite to get your moneys worth lol. Moving forward, I ll order the salad with the dressing on the side as well as ask for a take out container so that I can portion it out. This way you can take any left overs back home with you and enjoy it later on as a snack (ask for a different salad dressing to change your leftovers up). If you do this then it s a win-win since you won t waste any food or money. P.s. Order one of their cookies they re SO good.
Disgusting and negligent that a customer would find metal objects in their food! Your response was even more ridiculous. Thanks to BLOGTO for posting this article and warning others not to eat here!
