I’ve been 5 times already since this location opened and that’s bc of the consistency in both quality of food offering and service levels. Everyone is professional, yet warm and friendly. The restaurant has a welcoming ambiance that is relaxed and approachable. It’s always bustling and is the perfect neighbourhood go-to. I love the variety of the many delicious menu items, but mostly I love how it’s run; by a competent team who care about their guest’s experience. Not every restaurant gets this right but Manita knows how to make you feel welcome and fussed over.

We had an incredible lunch .. everything was delicious and very attractively presented…. But our server was the best part of the meal and that’s saying something. He was genuine, helpful, smart and warm… he made us feel very comfortable , all of that without being obsequious.

Had a brunch Craving French toast and finally can eat during the week dayy Clean and nice place ✨ The server girl was very friendly One thing i didn't like the seat near the door cuz other seats were empty and the door didn't close properly so we got cold wind every time people came in and out (I should ask though)

A fabulous neighbourhood restaurant with outstanding food, ambiance and service. We had a selection of apps and mains and loved everything. The pan con tomate and roasted mushroom salad were superb. Enjoyed chatting with Mike, the general manager who was hands-on all evening. While we were sad that Rosedale diner closed, this new restaurant is a welcome addition to the neighbourhood. We will be back often!

Although the place just opened, they have a sister location in Ossington. The food is great, the vibe is cute and the restaurant itself has a nice ambiance about it. The portion sizes however, could be better especially for the breakfast. IE the French Toast. Breakfast sandwich is also great, yet also smaller portion size for the price! Overall great restaurant, great burger too!

Lovely addition to the neighborhood. Food, service, cocktails, and wine were fantastic. Started with oysters, the fresh grated horseradish was the perfect compliment. The beef tartare was made fresh to order and the crostini were pipping hot. Soo classic and soo yum! We shared the trout and mushroom salad for our mains and they were great. Everything was prepared with care. Servers were friendly and very knowledgeable about the menu and wines. Can’t wait to go back and try the other dishes.

Food 5* Service 5* Atmosphere 4* (only due to noise, perhaps turn down the music just a bit) Otherwise, a great 1st visit. We used to go to this location when it was Rosedale Diner, disappointed when it closed but it couldn't have been replaced with a better venue that Manita. Service was excellent through-out from our main server to all that came to the table to deliver drinks/dishes or very discreetly clean the table of plates. The entire meal from appy's to mains were excellent. Menu is on the smaller side, the execution of the dishes is on point. Quality over quantity. Some dishes took up back to San Sebastian when we visited while living in Germany. Some of the best food we've had anywhere has been San Sebastian and in general Spain. Place was busy. Please do yourself and the staff a favour and make a reservation to avoid disappoint. They did managed to find a few walk-ins tables when we were there but I suspect as time goes on, and more people know about this location, reservations will be a must. Thank you!

Highly recommend in every category. We had a wonderful evening here with our old friends last night. The curry mussels, delicious. We also had two kinds of crostini and the brick chicken and several cocktails and more. Spoiled by the excellent service. The updates to the Rosedale Diner space are a grand slam.

An awesome addition to the rosedale strip. Fantastic food and a cool, atmospheric ambiance.

We live in the area and used to frequent Rosedale Diner often. Decided to check out newly opened Manila. Food was not great, service was simply deplorable . Waited for our drinks, dinner was cold and the GM of the restaurant could not have cared less that our party of 4 was disappointed in the level of service, quality of the food and how we felt as locals to the neighborhood. THIS RESTAURANT IS NOT WORTHY OF ROSEDALE!!! For a good time, great food and a fun atmosphere go to Quanto Basta the service and staff are excellent!!!

Tucked away in the trendy Rosedale district, Manita presents itself as a humble, unassuming wine bar and restaurant with a strong focus on Spanish cuisine. Despite its modest appearance, this intimate spot buzzes with energy, so securing a reservation is highly advisable as waiting space is limited to the outdoors. The evening commenced with expertly crafted martinis and Negronis, which packed a delightful punch and set a vibrant tone for our dining experience. To start, we enjoyed two crostini creations: one adorned with anchovies in garlic butter, the other with Manchego cheese and quince jelly ( membrillo ), both offering a perfect balance of salty and sweet. These were followed by indulgent ham croquettes, rich and satisfying while on the pricier side, their quality makes them worth every penny. Next, we were treated to Manila Clams, succulent and subtly sweet, bathed in a fennel-infused broth with a hint of liqueur. While the absence of bread was felt, leaving us longing to savor every last drop of the broth, the portion was generous, allowing each of us to enjoy a hearty serving. Manita s veggie burger with fries proved exceptional, though the allure of their seafood offerings remains tempting for a future visit. We couldn t resist adding the Sardine Conserva, a delightful tin of Spanish sardines kissed with olive oil and lemon, paired with griddled bread, cheese, garlic butter, and a medley of red pickled sweet chili peppers and fresh herbs. This dish was a revelation, an utter delight that transported us straight to the Mediterranean coast. In every bite, Manita offers an authentic taste of Spain unpretentious, bold, and brimming with flavor. Parking: Street parking is available but it would mean a long walk to the restaurant.

3 stars for the yummy French fries. How dare you serve me a 25$ tuna sandwich on bread that soggy. If not for that the score would be much higher. The burger looked really good I shouldve ordered that

Delicious housemade porcini tomato bucatini and basque cheesecake with a glass of chenin blanc. Service was good and lunch and dinner menu is different. Vegetarian options: Veggie burger, falafel plate, niçoise salad, raosted mushroom, roasted Japanese sweet potato.

Charming space, nice staff, good coffee, solid addition to the neighbourhood. Minus 1 star for a stale, sad croissant at 9 in the morning. Manita must be sourcing pastry from Thuet next door which is chronically stale and bad as every local knows. You have to find another place to get pastries. Dont let the neighbour drag you down.
