Mercantino is an excellent bottle shop with great variety, also doubling as a spot to sit and grab a drink. The snacks are basic but just what you need with a glass of wine. I love stopping by here to catch up with a friend. It’s quiet, great service, and great wines. #SweepstakesEntry #ContestEntry

We've enjoyed coming here for a long time. Tonight, however changed our impression. The gent that marched in, parked illegally with hazard lights on for over an hour was incredibly rude. He set himself up with his son with all the technology they had available. He marched around looking at his watch. It's a sad day when a favorite neighborhood venue treats you like this. I hope it wasn't the owner...but I fear it was. Yikes

An undiscovered bar in the east end that is perfect for a quiet drink with friends. It has a mature, relaxed vibe and the wine store in the front gives you the option of choosing drinks to go. Would highly recommend .

Great location! Nice patio and beautifully spacious inside. Great selection of wines. Aperol spritz is amazing and they've started oysters on Saturdays 4 to 6pm. $2 a piece and they are very fresh!! Perfect afternoon

I love this spot because it is more than a wine bar (which alone is more than enough for me). They have a retail portion with food and wines, and also serve food. I only purchased wine from here but can't wait to go back and have a seat!

Only the Ascari Group can create a sweet little shop with a wine bar and make it work in such a way that you want to bring your friends for a drink. The back room is cozy and they have a wicked side patio in good weather. Wines are really creative and I love that you can try them all until you find one that’s just right. I often buy a bottle to bring home. Snacks to go with the wines are simple but that works as well. My favourite thing to do is grab a few glasses, a snack and then head to Ascari Enoteca 5 doors down for a bowl of pasta, more wine and dessert! Please follow @joannasable on instagram

What a great addition to Queen E. A great wine bar, a fab place to buy food for dinner, more wines to buy, wicked Italian groceries and also a fabulous support for small local companies. While the weather is nice there is a patio off the side street so it’s so pleasant. These are the group who have the killer restaurants Ascari Enoteca, Ascari King and Gare D’lest Please follow @joannasable on instagram

This little shop is lovely for great wines you can t find at the LCBO and being in the industry I appreciate that the prices are reasonable. The ready made foods and fresh pastas selections is good too. I absolutely love the tiramisu, it is so delicious with those chocolate pearls that literally melt in your mouth.

Place reminded us of our first bottle shop restaurant we ate at in Rome on our honeymoon. Well done! Many wine and great cold ready-made section. The hot menu is simple, but delicious. Friendly staff & nice quiet patio.

Visited the place the first time with 2 friends. Ordered a coffee and a slice of their lemon loaf to go with it. The coffee was great but the cake was very dry. What delighted us was the service - we decided to leave a tip after the fact despite the disappointing cake and the spilled milk and getting 3 tablespoons instead of teaspoons for our coffees as requested.

A Covid popup that continues, we love this place. No surprise, since we also love Ascari Enoteca, with the same owners. Its always one of the places I go to grab non LCBO wines. Ive never gone wrong with anything Ive picked. Their tourtieres are fabulous. They come frozen. They carry a whole range of food and pantry items. Just a great little shop!

This is a lovely little wine store/grocery store/wine bar/cafe... Its a bit tricky to explain what this place is yet you figure it out easily once you walk in. Lovely wine selection, I had some of their oysters during my visit, they were really good.

When anyone asks me my favourite neighbourhood spot, it s this one. The perfect spot for a glass of wine, a cocktail or coffee. Great ambiance (and a lovely side street patio). Interesting wines that the staff take the time to explain (and let you sample). Always greeted with a warm smile and welcoming attitude. We need more places like this!

Great wine selection, and you can get snacks to eat there or to take home. We got fresh pasta and some wild boar ragu to eat for dinner at home. I would come back to snack and conversation any time

Walked in on the weekend, and fell in love with this shop. The person who helped us was great, and we found a nice vermut to add to our bar. Great food and snack options, will definitely be back for wine!

A perfect place when you all you want is a glass of wine and a snack with a low level of commitment. Order something from their short menu or grab something from the shop and they ll plate it for you. Love the industrial mixed with Spanish pintxos bar vibes. Will be back!

I first came here because it was the only spot open and I was in a pinch. I ended up loving the service and recommendations. Ive come back a number of times and enjoy the selection of wines that arent available at the LCBO. I do pay more for the wines, but havent been disappointed yet. Now, when I go to the LCBO I feel like Im in flat land. I also enjoy sampling what Mercato E Vini has open. I hope they expand their beer selections too.
