Wonderful brunch!

I used to go here a lot previous to the pandemic. The food was great and the staff and owners were great. Over the past three weekends I ve dropped by for a brunch or snack on a Sunday afternoon. I ve found the waitress s to not be very attentative. I ve had to hunt them down to pay the bill. Found it hard to grab their attention for an issue. Forgot about my coffee and when I did receive it was cold. Plate of French fries didn t seem very fresh. Again, this is a shame as in the past this restaurant and staff were top notch.

Ordered burger online and bartender lied and said they don t receive online orders, so l had to wait 20min as my ice cream melted from the grocery store. I said what about payment? He said not to worry it s only $20 Just to realize as my order was confirmed and payment went through that this wouldn t occur if Morgan s didn t receive online orders SO HE CLEARLY FORGOT!!! LIED AND TOOK ME FOR AN IDIOT!! I live on Linsmore so l often get a burger there instead of local fast food restaurants. NOT ANYMORE!! The bun was stale too!!! So disappointed won t be dining in anymore either! BEWARE

Working for Morgans on the Danforth was incredibly frustrating. I was never paid my tips, which were a significant part of my earnings. Despite multiple conversations about the issue, nothing was resolvedI would advise anyone supporting this business or potential employees to think twice before joining this team. There are much better employers out there who value their staff and honor their commitments.

Awesome, friendly service! Good selection of craft beers with a unique one from Left Field usually on tap. Double smoked burger was delicious!

Beautiful patio where we could sit and have brunch with a dog. They even brought out water for them. The food was perfect. Great selection and atmosphere.

ive lost count of how many times i have been here. i have not once had a problem with any of the food/drink ordered - on the contrary, Morgans consistently exceeds any expectations i may hold. everything is delicious and perfectly executed. and it doesnt stop there! the staff treats their customers like lifetime friends, and the atmosphere is a perfect balance between cozy and elegant. a true gem of the Danforth. UPDATE 15/08/2024 My review is still accurate Morgans could serve me all of my least favourite foods and Id probably like it

Decided to try this restaurant and was very disappointed. We ordered fish and chips and although the portion was large, the fish was so undercooked and the batter was undercooked as well. There was also a smell to the restaurant/pub that was unpleasant. The waiter was friendly but wont be returning A waste of $75 for two for lunch.

Was there last night. The place was not that busy but that didnt stop things from being pretty slow. All that would have been forgivable since the company was lovely, but the servers attitude was not. The meals came out after a long wait, but one of the meals did not -- a dinner salad! Youd think that would be the first one ready and waiting? Eventually that joined, but with a key ingredient (eggs) missing. Another long wait and when the server was asked about the missing ingredient, we got a very attitude-filled I think you know the status of the eggs. Eventually another server came and apologized for the eggs (which never came) and removed a drink from the bill. The food was yummy. The location is pretty. Regardless, the experience was soured by a server who got defensive about the establishment taking over an hour to get a salad right.

Menu was a little light but what they got they do well. & the service & ambiance especially on the patio (if u can get a spot there) was great.

It is now our go-to place for birthdays, concerts, anniversaries, and everything else in between. All the food is above expectations. Food

We love Morgan s! The food is always excellent - fresh, tasty and often with some very unique specials on offer. The service is beyond excellent - so professional and great with kids. And the sticky toffee pudding is the best ever outside of England! We are very lucky to have this gem of a place in our neighbourhood!

This is the first and last time Ive been here and I dont think Ill come again. For food, I ordered fried chicken. When my order arrived at my table and I started cutting the chicken, I saw that the chicken was raw and almost uncooked inside. I explained the situation to them and asked for my chicken to be cooked well. When they brought the chicken again; I found that the chicken was almost burnt from frying. While eating both the chicken and the potatoes that came with it, I felt a burnt taste in my mouth. I regret to advise you not to eat chicken here. The place is very nice and the people serving are very nice.

Stumbled into this quaint spot for a Thursday night dinner. Quite busy for a Thursday evening, service was exceptional, considering there was a party of 20 plus. The salmon and fish and chips were delicious. Finished our meal with a warm chocolate cake with ice cream, delicious ! Definitely a spot to return to. Small patio available.

Have the Morgans fry up. Tastes good and excellent value.

Morgan s on Danforth is an excellent restaurant. Food is excellent servers are excellent atmosphere is wonderful. I highly recommend this to anybody. Vegetarian options: I have their veggie burger. Here is excellent. As well as their vegetarian appetizers excellent.

Food is always good here and the service is the perfect balance of attentiveness without being bothersome. Staff are polite and friendly. We shared the fish cakes and they were absolutely delicious!

Great place, great atmosphere, great food!

Looooooooove this spot. The staff are EXCELLENT!!!! And the food is superb. Everything is homemade including every pasta strand, their Caesar salad dressing, freshly ground burgers; their fish and chips are hand battered; there s a Sunday beef roast with traditional Yorkshire pudding and all the trimmings. Endless water carafes and REAL dinner napkins. Please take care of (and tip) the staff. They love their jobs. This is their home .

This is such a gem in our neighbourhood. Cozy, welcoming and always the perfect food for the moment, whether you just want a burger and fries or something fancier. A good selection of wine and beer too. Kid-friendliness: Families love it here.

We use to love this place but we were disappointed on our recent visit. We had passable burgers served on dry buns and the meat lacked seasoning. While the portions were generous, the flavour profile is NOTHING like it was when we ate there last. Vegetarian options: Vegetarian options on the menu.

I.LOVE MORGANS!!!! Neighbourhood landmark for about 12 years. We were blessed when this establishment opened its fine doors. Jimmy took over the business during the crazy lockdown early days of covid. Not only did he survive, he thrived and made a fabulous restaurant even better!! Im fortunate enough to be able to walk here but wouldnt hesitate to drive across town for this. All the staff are amazing. Food is wonderful. LOVE IT!! PS:. Amazing new additions coming to menu soon and weekly specials!! I got an inside tip ;) PSS. The sometimes offer a lamb shank dinner special that makes my mouth water just thinking about it. YUM!! I have to order anytime I see it. Dietary restrictions: I have a good intolerance and kitchen can accomodate for some dishes

Stopped by for some apps had Korean BBQ wings and calamari. Wings were delicious but the calamari was hands down the BEST Ive had, so fresh too. Definitely will be back

Lovely place for dinner or weekend brunch. Honestly a hidden gem of the neighbourhood. Easy choice to just have a comfortable night out. Local brews on tap and plenty of options. Comfortable seating for 1-4. Steps to Greenwood TTC station. Friendly staff.

Morgans is a great neighborhood spot that we have gone to many times over the years, good food and good service. We will continue to visit Morgans

I adore this restaurant. The food is so, so good. Totally unpretentious vibes. Service is always great. Nice beers on tap. The perfect neighborhood pub. You can tell the owners really care.

I stopped by on a quiet weekday cause I was in the area and the exterior of the restaurant caught my attention. Since this was my first time visiting, I asked the waitress for some suggestions and she recommended me the calamari and the short rib beef ragu which was fantastic. The calamari was flavorful and it was lightly coated in their seasoned breading so that youre not just biting into breading when you bite into it. Now on to the main course - short rib beef ragu. I dont know what they put inside but its effing delicious. The beef was soft and tender as it melts into your mouth and the sauce was delish. Since I was alone my stomach could only fit so much food. Im going to have to come back and try the fish and chips.

Great local spot to walk to from our home. Always good food and good service. With the new owners taking a chance a few years ago, they managed to revive Morgans as a great, reliable local restaurant in our neighborhood. Its my fav place to go. Love the smoked old-fashion cocktail and salmon with crispy skin!! yummy!! Vegetarian options: They gladly changed a dish that we requested to vegetarian for us with no fuss!! Parking: There are lots of side streets to park on if paid street parking is busy

Visiting from Montreal and i am so glad I came across this restaurant!!! Such a gem! Calamari s were delicious and the service was amazing! Fun night and great food! I ll be back again for sure on my next trip to Toronto!

It s been a while since my family and I have been into Morgan s. New faces, new menu. We were a party of four plus one, we were given a high chair for our little guy. We had lots of space, it was a very busy Saturday night but the entire restaurant had a great vibe. We ordered a bottle of Procecco which was opened at our table and a really nice dark beer they just tapped called, Queen of the Night by Spearhead. The kids had beautifully displayed Shirley Temples and the little guy a milk. We had both servers and the owner come and speak to us. Jen and Amora were very attentive, friendly and helpful. We started with the cauliflower bites and the Thai Fish cakes. We devoured everything. The portion of cauliflower bites were quite generous, nice and crispy. The fish cakes were awesome too, the sauce that goes with it added an amazing flavour, we were impressed. For mains the two older kids ordered gnocchi which is made in house, OMG - SO GOOD!! My hubby had the lamb shepherds pie, which stay piping hot right to the last bite because it s cooked and served in a cast iron dish, the flavours were exactly what he was looking for as he said he wanted good home comfort food. We shared the warm lentil salad, it was so delicious and filling! I ordered the mussels, all the portion sizes were perfect, the fresh tarragon in the broth was AMAZING! It also came with some pieces of baguette. Our little guy had the kids fish and chips, of course we had to help him taste that too, it was perfect. Dessert we had to have the classic sticky toffee pudding which is still award winning in our books. Although we also saw two new desserts which was a delicious chocolate brownie - both desserts came with ice cream! We also enjoyed the Bannoffee, not sure if I spelled that right, but it was like a banana cream pie with toffee, so light and fresh. I think we were in the restaurant for about two and half hours, we watched the place fill and there was always a new party looking for a table. We re picky about where we eat because we like really good food and enjoy good service, honestly we were so impressed we re going to make this our regular restaurant. It s in the neighbourhood and we love to support East York businesses, eating local and having great restaurants like this makes it very convenient to not go far from home to get a great meal and great service. We ll be back! Vegetarian options: Plenty of Veg options Dietary restrictions: We were asked if there were restrictions Parking: The location is on the Danforth, depending parking can take a moment but plenty of options including a parking lot across the road. Kid-friendliness: Very kid friendly in the day and in the evening between 4 - 8pm, it is a place people go to drink, so as people get enjoying beverages I d say kid time is up. Wheelchair accessibility: Wheelchair accessible except there are about three steps to get the bathroom.

Had a wonderful experience with my family at Morgan s. The food was fresh and flavourful. We were seated very quickly and had pleasant service.

The service and ambiance were nice, making it a great spot for a beer. However, the breakfast items werent to my liking. The egg Benedict with maple bacon was okay, I personally didnt like the sauce they used (I cant remember the name but it was a sort of hollandaise with cheese). While Id consider returning for a drink, the food might not be the main attraction for me.

My first night on the morgans but not the last, I wasn t expecting such a great experience and hospitality like a family. Anyhow on the first day i made it to the MUG CLUB and Im a proud member if you wanna join the club limit seats available, just have to grab any drink and you ll be a part of it. Amazing i give 10/10.

Had dinner and brunch here so far. Fried chicken is awesome. Eggs Benny the Hollandaise is a little thick and creamy didnt seem like regular hollandaise. The breakfast plate was amazing tho! And espresso martinis were great.

We popped over to Morgan s this evening with our toddler (I say evening but really it was 4pm). The place was warm and inviting and so were the staff, who made us feel very welcome. The food was absolutely delicious and we found quite a few things to share with our little guy. A special shoutout to our server, Lucy, who put us at ease and stole our little one s heart. We appreciated Lucy s thoughtfulness as she offered our son crayons and colouring books, and was mindful of all the little things that come with dining out with a small child. We also appreciated the portion sizes! We will definitely be back.

Four of us recently went to Morgans for Sunday brunch. It was our first time at Morgans but it wont be our last. The restaurant has a nice atmosphere, the staff was attentive, and the food was excellent.

Our go to for brunch - staff is friendly, food is delicious and cocktails are great. Everything is reasonably priced. Their outdoor patio is also dog friendly! (Only open on warmer days)

Have heard great things about Morgans. We had 2 bottles of wine at $55 each. We shared a small spartan Charcuterie Board among 5 of us. I had gnocchi which was mushy and not recognizable as gnocchi. Friends had Duck and Lamb shank which were tiny portions. 3 tiny desserts at $9 each were not great. The trifle was mostly red Jello gelatine. No custard or cake layers. Jello is .99 a box. The bill was well over $450.00. The company and conversation were great. We wont be back to Morgans.

Shared a great night out with friends which started with Morgans. Highly recommend the risotto which was very good. Everyone else had the burgers, including the veggie which were all well received. Loved my Caesar as well. Great service in a warm, welcoming space. Well worth a night out.

This place has always been near and dear me since I started going here almost 15 years ago. I think there has been a few changes in ownership, but for the most part the food is incredible and it s always a place I can count on delivering quality at a decent price.

Loved visiting here on my brief trip to Toronto. The fries and plant based burger was excellent, as was the Rorschach IPA. Jimmy the owner (Jack Whitehall look alike) was a brilliant host. I would definitely recommend paying a trip out to Danforth Avenue to this restaurant. Excellent all round. Vegetarian options: The plant based burger was excellent, very well cooked and tasty.

Came here for a casual drink and ordered the wings appetizer. Very good! Wings were crispy and juicy inside, nicely flavoured. Fries were thick but perfectly fried. Thoughtfully prepared, tasty food! Looking forward to trying more of the menu. Oh yeah, nice staff too!

Wow! Best roast beef dinner we ve had in the city. True British experience with Yorkshire puddings and all. The sticky toffee pudding was off the charts too! Amazing service and super cool owner. Can t wait to return for brunch and roast beef again!

This little hole in the wall is a Danforth gem. What appears to be a dive bar is actually an exceptional restaurant and patio. Deserving particular praise is their chuck-and-brisket Morgans Burger. I have never had a thicker, jucier, more delicious burger than this one. The sauce and toppings blend together and the whole thing just melts in your mouth. Vegetarian options: They have incredibly flavorful vegetarian burgers too!

Quite possibly one of the best sticky toffee puddings in the city. Certainly on the top 3 ask for extra Bourbon sauce

Our burger and crepes were tasty, theres a nice selection of beers, and the place is cozy and nicely appointed. The only off note was our server who seemed indifferent and not terribly attentive. Wont prevent us from returning but was a bit off-putting

I loved the cozy vibe and the extremely comfortable seats! The staff were very attentive and friendly. The food was delicious and the portions were large. The bill came with a QR code giving you the option to pay through your phone which I ve never seen before and found really cool :)

Small casual restaurant along the Danforth. A nice way to support local. Staff we encountered we helpful, pleasant and smiling. We haven t been for a few years. Staff were as great as ever! Our visit was after 6:30 on a Sunday so perhaps that changed things. We ordered two Sunday specials (Roast Beef dinners). The gravy was very tasty, as was the Yorkshire pudding. Unfortunately the balance of the meal was just so-so. The beef was tough and a little too gristly. The veggies were very dried out and too few. Presentation was nice. Overall a little pricey for this visit 2 meals and 2 nonalcoholic drinks (~$72+ tip).

Went for dinner .. the service was very slow taking the order and getting the food. Most it was cold and deep fried cauliflower did not taste good at all. It could be a good place to eat need to improve.

A friends son mentioned this place to us, and the restaurant did not disappoint. The food was not only creative, but so tasty!! I had the mortadella sandwich w/ salad and for dessert the sticky sponge toffee cake and OMG... My friend had the Morgans plant based burger w/ fries and for dessert the New York Cheesecake Brulee. Even just to stop in for dessert is a must! We both were extremely satisfied .... I will be craving this place until I come back to Toronto. The service and atmosphere were both very pleasing.

I ordered the chuck /brisket burger. They burnt the burger, it was dry as a bone, pretty flat and hard with black grill marks. They refused to do anything saying that they really need to cook the burger for safety. The waiter did take off my coke from the bill, which was 4 bucks. I m really disappointed because the cook didn t take responsibility, not in the kitchen when it was allowed to go out to a customer and more importantly not acknowledging his mistake when I complained that it was way over cooked/ burnt. Obviously they were very aware of the mistake and were too cheap to give me a properly cooked burger or to take it off the bill. Also on my way out I spotted a burger being served that looked way better and was certainly not over cooked. I guess the cook was more careful after mine. Stay away they are too cheap and not honest when they do make a mistake.

I enjoy coming here, the food is always pretty good and there are no complaints about the service.

What a gem. We just had lunch here. The food was delicious.

Held my 50th b-day dinner for 20 there. Lovely night, amazing food, comfy/cozy mood and excellent service. Our server was a star and managed to keep everyone s bills straight despite all of us mingling and changing seats to get a chance to talk to each other. Dietary restrictions: Jimmy was ready to accommodate a celiac & vegan guest who didn t end up coming.

Went for lunch. Best calamari I had in a long time. The burger is tasty ,definitely smoky from the cheese and the tomato marmalade is better than ketchup any day. Strongly recommended.

Best cocktails. Love the ambience. The General Manager and chefs make sure you have a great time with food. Tiramisu pancakes on their brunch menu are the highlight. Great portion size and amazing flavours. Loved the plant based burger as well. Will always recommend if you are looking for perfect food and drinks. Their beer on tap and wine collection is worth a try too!

Best eggs benedict Ive had in my life.

Great food and excellent craft beer and wine selection. Friendly staff and service. Eight years later I went with a party of four for dinner. New ownership. Everything is still at a high level. I had for a change, the vegetarian burger. It is basically mashed potatoes encrusted with a tempura like batter. Not what I had expected. Otherwise, we had all enjoyed the dining experience.

Have been here three times already this year and will continue to go back for their mouthwatering veggie burger with truffle fries and sticky toffee desert! You can tell that everything was prepared fresh. The service was quick and staff were really kind and attentive :)

New #1 Brunch Spot on the Danforth! Amazing Chef Pauline and Manager Jimmy make this a brunch you wont forget. Highly recommmend you start with a coffee martini - Jimmy makes only the best (and isnt too hard on the eyes either!) We had the Peameal Katsu on a bun - crispy, heavenly peameal paired with a savory coleslaw on a homemade melt-in-your-mouth bun. And the fries! Best Ive ever had bar none. My dining partner had the eggs forestiere - a scintillating twist on eggs Benedict with wild mushrooms finishing in an exquisite umami flavour. Dessert was exceptional - sticky toffee pudding is light, airy and divine and completely made on-site. Overall, ambiance is very chill with an upscale gastropub vibe. Will definitely come back again and again. Thanks for all the mimosas Jimmy - and thanks to the lovely Amore for putting up with us, youre a real gem!

Nice neighborhood restaurant with decent selections of craft beer. They have Very cozy, inviting and comfortable atmosphere. Try their own labeled lager on tap ($7) which is very tasty and would pair well with any food on the menu. Ordered Eggs Royal($20). Generous amount of smoked salmon & their home fries were excellent! My poaches eggs were slightly over- done & hollandise sauce was way too thick but it was delicious overrall. And portion size. Wow. My friend ordered fish & chips. She could not even finish half. I managed to finish everything on the plate but was really stuffed after. They have a couple of booth seats available and music is not too loud, if so you want to take your date/friends to a unpretentious place to have a nice conversation with good food & drinks, This place would be it.

A nice restaurant on Danforth. I thought the Gnocchis portion size was a little small, though the chicken we ordered was amazing. They ran out of most of the beer I wanted but still had a great selection. The servers here are absolute the sweetest. Would recommend.

Had our 10th anniversary dinner here. The Caesar salad was good but could use more dressing. My hubby had the Morgans burger which he enjoyed but the bun was a bit soggy from the condiments. We has the sticky toffee pudding for dessert which was very good. The butterscotch bourbon sauce was amazing!!! Service was great!!!!

Cool gastropub along the Danforth. Did a back-to-back dinner then brunch, so obviously liked the place. Standouts were the shakshuka at brunch (great poach on the eggs, strongly tomato stew), the mussels (generous serving, tasty broth) and beef ragu rigatoni (beef was tender, noodles were al dente, tomato sauce was deliciously wined) at dinner, and the mums trifle for dessert (interesting jelly layers, wasnt too sweet). Place is casually upscale pub, service is friendly and quick, prices are reasonable as far as gastropubs go. Can see why Morgans is a go-to in the neighbourhood.

Two people in our party had the Sunday roast beef dinner ($29 not cheap) based on the recommendation of our server. It was the worst roast beef dinner they ever had, the meat was so tough and inedible- the vegetables were also dry. We advised the server and were told he d let the cook know ????...Needless to say we ll never go back to Morgan s

Very cozy place and I liked they had decaf coffee. The service was very good with them checking in on us to see if we needed more coffee.

Regardless of booking a table for a birthday. They are more than willing to ask you leave if the people due to a better paying customer beware of tips and owner. Very coincided for a basic danforth grill.

Morgans Double Smoked is the best burger in east Toronto! I did takeout via Ritual app and could not have been more pleased with the quality of my meal. Price point is a bit higher than average but absolutely 100% worth it. Everything was fresh and homemade. The burger was obviously made in house and never frozen. The fries were obviously fresh cut and also never frozen. If they tend to their taps as carefully as they tend to their food quality, this will be a prime place for an outing once things fully open up again.

Excellent food (especially the burgers and fish and chips), and excellent service. They have a decent selection of beer as will. I highly recommend stopping in if youre in the neighborhood.

Very bad experience with take out. Chaotic service. Got the order wrong, it was late and then it took another 10 min to figure out how to refund my money. This is not the Morgans I know. New management?

What a shame...what was once a great little restaurant has, according to the waiter, changed hands....total atmosphere changed, filthy, and when I mentioned this to the waiter he just starred blankly at me...I left before I ordered as I was sure the food would reflect what I found...so sad

I have gone to Morgans many times but this is the first Ive been there since new owners took over. The food was fine the waitress was fine and the ambience was fine but the washroom was disgusting leading me to wonder what the kitchen looks like. Please get rid of the spiders in the corner, get a new soap dispenser and have toilet paper on a roll. I will come back in a couple of months to see if its improved.

We wanted to love this place for takeout however ended up disappointed. Fried chicken undercooked in middle and fried with old oil so batter was very overdone and oily. Sides were so so and dessert was sad excuse of cheesecake. We ordered a family dinner via ritual and it was underwhelming

Oh how we love this place! Seriously the best fish and chips we have ever had. For vegans, their Buddha Bowl is divine! We loved the street patio when it was open and cant wait to go back when we are allowed. For future indoor dining, the atmosphere is warm and cozy, yet classy all at once. Thank you Morgans for being our local.
