We initially found this place because they were having signature cocktails for Taylor Swift while she was touring in Toronto. The vibes were IMMACULATE. Such a cute, boho-like aura. The seating is casual coffee shop vibes, but yet you can order a whole meal. And there are regular tables as well. And a bar you can eat at. The food was INCREDIBLE. The hashbrowns were the perfect amount of crispy on the outside. And the sandwich and omelettes were spectacular. The best part of our experience was the wait staff. Liwam was so sweet, pleasant, and really took care of us. She was a shining face to top off a wonderful meal and experience. 10/10 recommend!!!!
Great place! The food was really great, I recommend the steak pita sandwich and the brownie, they were both excellent and affordable. The cocktails are original and the staff is very friendly! I'll come back for sure 😊
This place would have been good if our server was kind to us. We came in on Thursday, Nov 14 after work as a group of colleagues from work with someone visiting from Calgary to go to the Taylor Swift concert. Our server was not attentive to us, we had to wave him over each time we were looking to order something. I came in 30 minutes after the rest of the group and he walked past me multiple times until after 30 minutes I went to the bar to ask for a drink menu he forgot to bring over when we had already asked for it. To put the cherry on top, we had a stack of dirty plates that I thought had been used. Lastly, when I asked for the bill (at the bar again, because we were waiting for however long), and when I asked politely for the bill, in no rush, he rolled his eyes and looked down at whatever he was cutting and let out a big sigh and said he would get to it, like we were some burden. I have never been so disgusted with the service, he was not polite, and I will never go back to a place where we were clearly not wanted. He might as well have told us to get out, at least we wouldn't have had to endure that painful time we spent there. Never again.
Aishat made my dining experience at Masoop’s Hotel Victoria truly special. She was so engaging and genuinely cared about making sure everything was perfect. Plus, she makes the best coffee I’ve ever had! Hotel Victoria is lucky to have someone as dedicated and thoughtful as Aishat. Thank you for making my visit memorable! ⭐️
Disappointing Experience at Mossop’s Social House. I recently visited Mossop’s Social House, and unfortunately, it was one of the worst experiences I’ve had at a cafe. Despite the place being completely empty, I waited at least 20 minutes for two lattes. The server, Chris, seemed completely lost at the checkout, struggling to process our payment. He gave us the wrong bill three times, overcharging us with items we didn’t order. To make matters worse, the girl making the coffee had no idea what she was doing. Each latte took her around 10 minutes, and instead of focusing on her work, she spent time on her phone while I waited. The place itself is nice, but the service was absolutely terrible. If you’re looking for good service or even just a quick coffee, this isn’t the place to go.
High quality ingredients and Chef A has great creative attention to presentation ! We had Sweet Potato Carpaccio, Branzino and a Yonge St. Sparkler beverage. The food was excellent! Loved every bite! Our server was effective, witty and made us very comfortable. Every staff member was very accommodating. Considering all the above, the price was very reasonable.
We went for coffees and dessert. Service was exceptional! It was my wife's birthday, the staff arranged for a candle and sang for us. He also noticed we were sick and brought honey and lemon. Food was good too!
I love the place, and the service is good they’re friendly. However, it’s very slow at the same time. Plus, I ordered the chopped salad today, and I’ve never seen a watery salad in my life. I don’t even know how to explain this. The washroom has no soap at all until now. No paper towels either.
Excellent attention. The service staff are very friendly, Miss Liwan is very nice and friendly. A good, very cozy hotel......
Excellent space and vibe to get your work done. The help - Juila is extremely friendly and helps you with anything you might have! A must visit
Excellent food and service! Loved the Tajima beef skewer.
Aishat F& B server was helpful and courteous.
It was a great experience the staff was great the food was delicious too and the server liwam provided an excellent service from start to finish, she made sure I had everything I needed. Definitely appreciate the great service.
Aisha and Liwam were amazing.
Everything about this place is incredible! I especially appreciated the wonderful service from staff Liwam and Aisha - you don t get good service like that often! I ll be back way more often :D
The restaurant booked a private function, but didn t bother to block reservations. Ended up having to move to another restaurant, despite having booked a table for 9 people. Pretty bush league. Can t comment on the food or atmosphere because we were told to leave. Guess we will never find out if it s any good
Cute little hotel bar and lounge
Israeli place that serves stolen dishes from the middle eastern region.
We stopped in here for breakfast and it was just perfect. Excellent food, friendly staff, cozy cafe. Thank you.
Food - Eggs Benedict was Delicious, Hollandaise Sauce was very creamy! Service - Staff were very friendly Atmosphere - Quiet, open, and inviting. Interior is beautiful! Food : 3/5
This place is such a hidden gem. Beautiful setting and great cocktails. Also, give Colin the bartender a raise, he makes a mean espresso martini and is such a ray of sunshine!
With hotel breakfast prices thru the roof it was nice to find a simple Cafe with decent food for a reasonable price.
Extremely slow service for lunch. When we arrived, there were not any other tables. I cannot believe the food would take this much time. We re sitting here for almost 50mins waiting for the food. This has been a disappointment. I do not recommend unless they improve the SPEED of service.
The staff was absolutely amazing, accommodating to all our dietary restrictions and requests. The food was delicious , loved the cuisine.
Hidden gem.
Excellent
The food and drinks are mid and you can tell they just give you instant mix or something from a can and then I discovered its isreali and it all started clicking. I wish I knew before I gave them my money. They tell us something else is theirs much like what the isrealis do to palestinians
Mossops Social House is a breath of fresh air on Yonge Street in the downtown core. The environment is trendy and chic with lots of elegant nooks for photos, or just to sit an enjoy a coffee with friends. The service is amazing with knowledgeable staff. The Bartender, Colin goes above and beyond when serving cocktails with fun facts thrown in. The Chef, Food & Beverage Manager and the Servers were all happy to ensure that my dietary restrictions were taken into account (I am Celiac). They have lots of options for everyone and are able to accommodate Vegetarian, Vegan and Gluten Free options with ease. The food is absolutely delicious and I havent had anything I didnt enjoy on the menu. Keep up the good work team! Vegetarian options: Lots of options from roasted cauliflower to falafel, plus salads and they are all delicious Dietary restrictions: Their proteins are all gluten free, and they carry gluten free crackers/flatbreads in place of the pita which is very tasty
The most beautiful place I ve visited in a while! Great spot to grabs some coffee and enjoy some delicious food! The hot chocolate is to die for!
Great hummus, great vibes. Can t wait to come back !
The food was delicious and great cocktails. We enjoyed our time in the beautiful restaurant. The food was top notch and we loved that everything was shareable. Dietary restrictions: They had options for my Gluten free friend.
This place is amazing! Such great ambiance and the food and service are fantastic. Worth a visit!
This is one of my favourite places to hang out at in Toronto. It has such a cute vibe and the food is amazing! Staff is always so nice and welcoming and their pastries are to die for. Lots of shareables for groups if you re not hungry enough for an entire meal. Highly recommend!
Tried several dishes, and they were excellent. The minute steak was tender and very well seasoned. The chopped salad was very fresh. Will be coming back for sure.
The food is delicious, the atmosphere is amazing and the service is top-notch!! The people saying this place is the epitome of cultural appropriation know nothing about Israeli cuisine and its origins. Keep your political views out of here and go check out this restaurant because you will not be disappointed! 10/10!!
great spot!
Loved the food and atmosphere, will definitely come again!
Great food and drinks, great service and great downtown vibe. Highly recommend.
Israelis cosplaying Arab food as their own. Not surprising. And the food was underwhelming and over priced for what it was. Go to an authentic middle eastern restaurant!
Unlike some of the other reviewers, who obviously have a bias against this restaurant, because of them being Israeli, I found the service, the food and the atmosphere to be great, and I will highly recommend this to anyone who asks. It s too bad some people must bring current events and politics onto everything. We enjoyed our food and drinks and will definitely be back!
Great experience. Wonderful service, tasty food and delicious drinks. Will definitely be back!
Loved the place!! delicious food!! the nutella french toast is a must try!! staff was very helpful and friendly :) Food
Love the vibe of this place! Staffs are very friendly. Great coffee & their croissants are amazing - must try !!
While staying at the Victoria Hotel, I had the chance to have breakfast and lunch at the Mossop. Excellent coffee, food is fresh and delicious, and the staff is so attentive, friendly and nice! The decor is beautiful, they kept the old flooring and ceilings from the turn of the century, while giving it a modern a cozy atmosphere. Check it out!
This place is the epitome of cultural appropriation, passing off Middle Eastern dishes as Israeli. In the least the chef could say he cooks Arab fusion.
