Visited Moxies on Dec 21, 2024. Loved the food and the staff. We had an issue with the food and they fixed it and gave us free dessert. Would come back. They also were one of the few restaurants that would take an 8 person reservation which was very helpful. Highly recommend! Vegetarian options: Lots of options! Dietary restrictions: Yes the chefs can do custom for your group

Booked a reservation for a corporate holiday dinner for 20 people and it was amazing! Food was great and service was good too considering the party size This is the second time weve had a holiday dinner here and we loved it Food : 5/5

It was an ok lunch overall. Food was good but service was lacking. I recognize that we came during the lunch hour on a weekday so its probably always busy with the business/9 to 5 crowd but a place should be able to scale up when its busy... Quite an echoy place as well/not properly sound treated. I dont mind the loud talking and music but just FYI.

What an amazing place to dine and drink

Both fish dishes were absolutely done to perfection and very delicious. Clam chowder for a frosty day is an excellent choice also with poutine and a salad - ALL yummy. Dont forget the dessert-brownie with ice cream.

We had a reservation for 10pm. When we got there, the girl at the front was giving so much attitude, no smile, didn t feel welcomed. Told her our reservation time and she didn t acknowledge it, she just left went to the bar then came back with two menus and didn t even ask us to follow her. . She just walked and were looking at her like whats going on. Then she s like you guys can sit here Anyways the server we got was really nice and she did great. Tipped her really well too. Thanks hun!! can t remember her name tho but wonderful service

Service was really good - and during a busy period. The food was ok - but only OK for the dollar. The clam chowder was pretty tasty. The atmosphere is what youd expect but very generic - open and cold.

Of all the moxies establishments within this city, this location was the absolute worst one that I ve ever been to. The service that we received during our outing was nothing short of abysmal. We went 40 minutes without seeing our waiter again after the food was dropped off. I had to flag down another waiter that was not responsible for our section to ask for a refill of my drink that should have been offered. Not once was our water jug refilled during the duration of our visit. The used plates and cup were not cleared from our table until the very end of our 90 minute visit. The icing on the cake with this terrible experience is that when we did finally make contact with our waiter, they were very rude. The food and atmosphere were up to standard, as always, however nothing can excuse the egregious lack of service received. This could be understood if it was an extremely busy night, but there were less than 50 paying customers dining in the entire establishment during our visit. I will not be returning to this location and I would advise that nobody do business with this pathetic excuse of a restaurant.

The atmosphere, steak dinners and service by our attentive server Eden made for an amazing night out with a friend. Eden went above and beyond and we both appreciated her dedication. The whole experience definitely makes us look forward to a very soon return.

Great spot for dinner, which neatly blends good food, music, and live sports on TV. The kids meals werent quite as good as other places nearby but the adult meals were very tasty. The Thai Chicken Salad was really great.

We attended this location with my 1 year old baby and received absolutely awful service! We sat down, waited an hour to be served, then 2 hours to get our food! My baby was super fussy and hungry having to wait almost 3 hours for food! Do NOT recommend this location. Service is awful!

My favourite spot in Toronto for the past 10 years. Very friendly staff, very nice ambiance, the choice of food is also outstanding. Going there always feels like being with family. Give the place a try, you will likely become a regular after the first time :)

If I ever find myself in a moxies it wont be this location and Ill never order a steak.

My server Holly was beyond amazing. After changing seats closer to the bar to watch the game I met Liza and David who were both incredible. For a faster paced scenario they made me feel comfortable and accommodated. Cheers!

Been to other Moxies several times, first time at this location. It s a sports bar, let be clear, nothing more. I ll go out on a limb here and assume the typical sports bar grub like wings and tater totes are good based on those we saw going by. We ordered tenderloin steaks ( it s Moxies after all), what a mistake. The steaks were semi cooked right, medium versus rare, lukewarm warn, and the worst steak I have ever tried to eat ( at $61 BTW). Tough, grizzly, lacked taste, thank god for the French fries. Service was great, food was god awful.

Amazinggggggg everything was just so freaking amazing. We went for a date night for my partner s birthday, amazing customer service, our server was so nice and welcoming. The food was also very good, i loved their churro ice cream sandwich and mimosas too

$90 for meal, one drink, and dessert if you re gonna spend that much on dinner better to not spend it at a chain restaurant. not only was the food mediocre and OVERPRICED, the service was absolute crap. the server made so many mistakes with the order and gave me things i didn t ask for, instead of what i wanted. never going back.

I recently dined at Moxies and the experience was fantastic. The food was delicious, with each dish perfectly prepared and full of flavor. What really made the evening special was our waitress, Aydra, she was attentive, friendly, and went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable. Her recommendations were spot on, and her cheerful attitude added a personal touch to the meal. I ll definitely be coming back for both the food and the excellent service!

Ordered chicken burger for take out. Was given completely raw chicken. Restaurant wouldnt answer the phone so couldnt speak to anyone to discuss.

We really enjoyed the food, but had only ordered delivery before. When we visited the restaurant for the first time, the service was disappointing below average, even for Toronto. You still should try feta with tomatoes, it melts on your tongue as you never experienced before

So disappointed at the service. We felt racially profiled The white waitress first ignored my Asian colleague who stood at the front of the group and went directly at someone at the back of the group who was white. The Asian colleague was waiting patiently to get served as she arrived first but was served last. The waitress didn t keep track of the orders properly and charged me for a shot of tequila that I didn t even buy. Since it was late, some of the party already left. I notified the waitress that I didn t have any shots and she asked me to pay for it anyways

Typical chain restaurant. Place is very crowded after sports games, so be prepared to wait.

It was a decent restaurant with good, bar type food. We visited during the latter half of their weekly happy hour so we were able to get a few things off that specific menu. The food was decent. Nothing special. The sweet potato fries we ordered arrived cold, though. The shrimp taco and the brownie dessert were amazing. Vegetarian options: If you re vegetarian, this isn t the spot for you. Parking: It s in downtown Toronto, so parking isn t easy. But if you take the train or bus, the walk is very simple.

Recently dined in with a large group to ring in my cousins birthday and we had an exception server Holly. She went over and beyond to get us everything we needed. Being a large party with young adults, it was louder than anticipated but they were very accommodating. Food was fabulous as always! Drinks are a Hit. And their peach bellini was amazing.

Our server Aydra was super pleasant and fun to be served by.

Food was so mid, but half price was good.

Went for lunch today and had the blackened Mahi Mahi, it was very tasty and a little spicy which I liked. The portion size was perfect and fish was cooked perfectly. Service was friendly but the food took a little long and the place was relatively empty, took about 45 mins for our lunches to arrive. Not bad but one person was in a rush and didn t have much time to finish. Overall it was a good experience and I will be back for sure.

The service was pathetic. There wasn t cutlery provided for a long time of food served despite after being asked for it. No plates offered and we just finished our dinner in the bowl served.

A++ Fabulous experience! My hubby and I went for happy hour, shrimp tacos, chicken lettuce wraps, drinks, key lime pie all were fantastic, so fresh and flavorful. Additionally our server Ariana was bubbly and fun. So happy we went, it was perfect!

We had another wonderful experience at Moxies, I just had to write another review again! It continues to be one of our regular favourite hang out spots after several years. The food was delicious and as usual the Chimichurri salad was perfection! Our experience was made even better by Natania and her exceptional service - thank you for taking such great care of us!:)

We had an incredible experience here! My husband and I went for dinner for our anniversary and had our 4 month old baby with us. The food was soooo flavourful and delicious and the service was amazing. Our server Aaryan was so homey and kind, made sure we had an excellent experience. Our baby ended up falling asleep and we didn t bring anything for her to sleep in because we walked there. Aaryan let us use two chairs pushed together and the blanket we had to make a little crib beside our table and it worked perfectly. We could cuddle and eat our dinner together while little one slept peacefully! We had mentioned it was our anniversary so Aaryan brought out a dessert with a sparkler on it! It was very thoughtful and made the night extra special for us. Thank you so so much for the wonderful time.

Moxies always produces an amazing atmosphere 5 stars. I ordered the ribeye with blue cheese butter - cold and tough (sent back), BIG WASTE OF MONEY. The waitress was an absolute joke, worst I have ever seen by far. Guess what, they even brought me back my $53 ribeye with beautiful heat lamp crust on it, oh and it only took 30 minutes. Moxies as a chain can only be as good as the staff they employ, 1 STAR for Moxies downtown Toronto due to their brutal staff. I would have sooner paid for a good steak rather than got a POS for free any day of the week.

Moxies has had my favorite dessert of all time for years and its still the best. Sophia also provided great service and hospitality even though she was slammed. Props to Sophia!

Exceptional Service at Moxies I recently had the pleasure of dining at Moxies, and our server, Melanie, truly made the experience outstanding. From the moment we sat down, she was attentive, friendly, and professional. Melanie greeted us with a warm smile and took the time to walk us through the menu, offering great recommendations based on our preferences. Throughout the meal, she checked in just the right amount never too much, but always making sure we had everything we needed. What really stood out was her attention to detail: glasses were never empty, dishes were timed perfectly, and she made sure any special requests were handled with ease. Her positive attitude and genuine care for our dining experience made the evening even more enjoyable. Moxies is lucky to have such a dedicated and talented server on their team. We ll definitely be back, and I hope we re lucky enough to have Melanie as our server again!

First time I ve been to this moxies, it has such a beautiful atmosphere. We went during happy hour, drinks were great n food was yummy. We had holly as our waitress and she was a star!! Great place to enjoy a nice meal and friendly service

Came to dine here with my friends for a birthday celebration. Our server holly was top notch. Went out of her way to ensure we left satisfied and was just an overall sweetheart the entire time. 10/10 recommend this location if you re in the city! Right near union station which is also very convenient and close to everything. Thank you Holly, will be back for sure!

Came in here on Friday night July 20th at 12am with 3 of my girlfriends. As soon as we entered the server greeted us rudely with last call for food and drink is in 10 minutes no hi, no hello welcome to moxies nothing. I am aware the restaurant closes at 1am so it seemed as though the server did not want us to dine there. Secondly she sat us at a dirty table and when I asked if she could wipe it for us since it was dirty she came back with towelettes for wings, dropped them on the table and said for wiping the table I was appalled at this. We ended up grabbing the spray and wipe from the host stand ourselves to wipe the table. Service the whole time was passive aggressive, it was extremely clear she didn t want us there and that she did not deem us worthy guests. We are 4 people of color so this was also insulting, additionally I d like to add that I too work at a moxies as a server and had I greeted and served guests like she did it would be a seriously problem. Insinuating that we wipe our own table? Telling us last call is in 10 minutes and then we watched people come in after us and sit and eat and drink. I hope the manager or supervisor is able to follow up with this employee so that this does not happen again. Gave an extremely bad taste of this place.

Yes, I just went to Moxie s for lunch as I do 3/4 times a week with my staff I m a stager and I bring my movers and staff there for lunch. ( whichever one is located near where we re working they love Moxie. They work hard for me. They deserve what they want . I go to the Dundas Square one ..the first to arrive of the team. I am very clear that I have come here for lunch and drinks with the six other members of my team may I please use the facilities first don t worry I am staying and I am eating and drinking with my stuff goes that s great but until you order we can t allow you to use the washroom. I said really I said how about I give you my credit card.. no ma am not until you purchased something or you can leave.. I asked to see a manager cause I was confused. As I respect that you own the company you can do whatever you want you reserve the right to not serve me. You told me that 12 times when I asked to use the facilities is it oh don t worry here s my credit card charge me for a drink so you know I m not going anywhere no we can t do that ma am. What if it s not your credit card I m like I m on camera for God sake . Regardless, she ran to her manager before I could even give her like order something so I could use the facilities first no go I then come out and they reserve the right to refuse service to me. I said absolutely if you don t want my business I will leave .. then proceeded to meet me at another restaurant because I m not really sure why it s not like I look like I m homeless And Bar would let anyone use the facilities I would not care if someone was homeless the facilities more I have spent my lunches there three times sometimes four for the last two years and to be treated like that by Dundas, where I was just shocked I client staff members and to be disrespected, even though I offered a credit card to prove I will buy something as I have six team members meeting me here and I don t wanna message them like I just wanna give you what you want you want the bar you have you have all the power I respect that but a little respect over here. I m sorry my American Express card wouldn t let me use the facilities as you said that could be stolen. I was really dumbfounded at the way I was treated, but I m I don t even know whether to blame the managers or the staff, but there was a very entitled little 20-year-old kid that was not going to allow me to come in. I repeat I may have only head on an aloe tracksuit but that s not cheap. It did. I did not look like I was broke. I was carrying a Gucci purse. I did not look homeless, which is the fact I have to say that I own a bar anyone could use my bathroom especially the homeless. Maybe I m different. I don t know The next thing I know you know what forget it. V they can treat people anyway they want they own the place. I can honestly say I ve never left to review in my entire life, but I was just treated so I ve never been belittled by a 20-year-old so badly and God forbid. I say anything because I m 56 and I don t wanna be looked at it like a care and I m just like yes ma am yes ma am yes ma am and she s enjoying her power as the hostess we reserve if I hear we reserve the right to serve you one more time as you re holding an American Express card and I order whatever you want , put 100 bucks on it. Just let me use the facilities to come. I m just Godsmack that the youth and the behaviour they don t know the difference between doing their job and being human.

This is the best moxies reastaurant I ever been for dinner great ambiance even when you check out the restroom as this photo shows. It was fabulous, food was great, so was service, everywhere I looked there was a calming effect on me. Come on Vancouvers Moxies go have a look you can do better

We had Just finished at the jays game and went to moxies for a drink after and they gave us a free dessert to congratulate me on my engagement and upcoming wedding.So I was extremely thrilled with them and suggested everyone go there! Food

Excellent experience. Ambience was fantastic and the whole staff being very courteous. We ordered a dish and didnt realise it had sausage in it, which I dont eat. While I didnt mind removing it to the side and eating the rest, the staff insisted on making a new dish and gave it to me. Lovely service, super impressed.

Visiting Toronto for the first time since COVID. I had an excellent New York steak and my wife had what she called the best salmon I have ever had! Aydra welcomed us to the city, she was friendly, attentive, and very enthusiastic - she literally skipped to the kitchen to get us what we needed ! We could not have asked for a better server, thank YOU Aydra!!

Excellent open concept seating with elegant decor. Perfect destination for drinks or a bite. Bartender Arianna is awesome. Well definitely be back!

I visited Moxies with my school club this week and Aydra and Shamsa were our servers. They were very nice and would always check in with our group. I had a great experience overall and would recommend it to anyone who is looking to dine in or host an event at Moxies.

Aydra was super efficient and very personable. This woman was busting her a$$ managing her tables on a crazy busy concert night. Aydra still managed to make all of us feel number 1! A raise is clearly deserving for this hard work and proficiency. You re lucky to have her on your team.

Love pasta with chicken there

We went to Moxie s for a late dinner after a Blue Jays game on a Friday night. Our server Holly was amazing. She was so friendly, attentive, and helpful. The food was also fantastic - we had two orders of chicken tenders with fries, and the chicken and cashew lettuce wraps. The portions were pretty large. I only took off one star for atmosphere because my parents (who are mid-late 50 s, so not particularly aged) both needed their phone flashlights to read the menus due to the dim mood lighting.

Best chain that eclipses all with their menu and service. Had their blackened Mahi-mahi today. Client had their shrimp tacos. Both were better than most independent restaurant who in typical Toronto style do a great appy but bomb on the entree or do a great entree and bomb on the meal. Moxies is consistently great. Better by a long shot to their competitor that rhymes with The Leg .

We had lunch today, the meal was very good and the server, Shamsa was a delight! She contributed to a wonderful afternoon with my daughter and grandson!!! Kid-friendliness: My grandson was very impressed with the kid s sundae presentation, which definitely contributed to his day!!!

I ordered a HH for 10 per class, they brought more expensive wine 13 per class and never informed us till billing. Do we tourist look like a big rip off? Or Asian just look like easy target? So unfair! I was served by a white male waiter. Watch out!

I sat at the bar while my wife and her sister went to a concert at Scotiabank Arena. Location was super close to walk to, and the atmosphere was relaxed yet lively. Server was Aydra who was very quick to remember my name, my dessert preference 3 hours later (always the white chocolate brownies). I had a great time there and will definitely be returning and recommending this location. Moxies is a great establishment overall and while I dont work in the restaurant industry, theres something they are doing right.

Aydra was so much fun! She was great and excitable which made my experience wonderful. Wheelchair accessibility: It was really tight to navigate. The accessible entrance from the outside building was hard to get to. The door outside to the building didnt have an accessible door opener. The door to the restaurant did but it was turned off so I had to get the security guard on duty to open the door for me. Once I got in there was a table right in front of the door and I had to get people to move so I could fit through to the hostess. It was also very loud. I made it work.

Went there for a corporate team lunch and our experience was fantastic. The drinks and appetizers were served promptly in the beginning with regular checks on the water levels on the table. The mains were fabulous especially the steak and Mahi Mahi. The menu is very well made with large vegetarian selection. This restaurant surpassed all our expectations. Vegetarian options: A large selection of vegetarian dishes

Food was very average. Great location.

Our New York steaks were overcooked and dry. Steaks and mashed potatoes were oversalted. This was one of the most saltiest dishes Ive ever had.
