My Roti Place/My Dosa Place in Toronto

The dhosa was really good . The curry with roti was good too, when we were at that place there was only one guy receiving the order and preparing it . Too much order coming on UBER and in store too. The should put one extra guy to maintain this! It was quite hard to deliver the order in time when there is only one guy. We have waited too long to get out order and that service was really bad .

100% recommended this place. I bought Ghee Fosa and Paneer masala, it was very tasty. Customer service is good .

I had a great experience at My roti place. The staff was friendly and attentive. When I requested masala inside my dosa as a paste, they happily accommodated me. The dosa was crispy and delicious! Highly recommend for excellent customer service and tasty food.

I recently visited Dosa Place, expecting a delicious experience, but was sadly disappointed. The masala in the dosa was wet and lacked flavor not a hint of salt to be found! The chutneys were even worse, bland and lifeless, definitely not worth the hype. Ironically, the presentation was top-notch, but unfortunately, good looks didn t translate to good taste. The biggest letdown, though, was the filter coffee. It tasted like something from a generic hotel packet nothing like the authentic filter coffee experience I was hoping for. All in all, this place needs a serious revamp on flavors to match its presentation. Not worth it if you re looking for authentic South Indian taste.

Last night, a friend and I decided to try this place and were pleasantly surprised. We ordered the butter chicken roti with garlic naan, Lamb biryani, chicken noodles, and a dosa. Everything was so good. From the moment we walked in, we noticed how clean the Kitchen was and the cashier and host was super friendly and took his time to answer our questions. Him and the cook were both so sweet and hospitable. I ve had My share of butter chicken and biryani before throughout the city and this was so good And delicious. Plus, they re open late. I think I found my new favourite late night Spot. Everything was made so fresh and hot. The cook really did his thing. When we were done, we were so happy that before we left, we left Them with an additional tip. They were just so nice and the food Was just so good. We will definitely be back, but I wanted to make sure I left this review because they definitely deserve it.

In the last 3 Years this is the worst and unhealthy food I ve ever had. Nothing was fresh. Butter Paneer roti was not cooked and wet flour on it and everything was extremely hot bcz they are serving pale food. I complained them about the quality of the food and customer experience doesn t affect these greedy owners at all. Instead they warned me to give bad review. They gave me no compensation ; Nothing. I paid them for everything well but got the worst experience in life. Quality is shameful.

What happened to your other female cashier she was way more friendlier better service. Now there s this one maam/cashier she s doesn t know how to do basic math. Instead of getting angry at the customer. Please hire someone who can do basic math because this is so unacceptable from her part. And no apologize whatsoever. She starts talking in her own language to one of the guy in the kitchen about us. Do better!!! She is so rude and unprofessional, we will never comeback here ever again after that day!!! And the food that day, tasted so bland and not very tasty. Idgi when we first came here it was the best service with the other lady she was way friendlier, kind and explains so well. Now they hire this lazy ma am worker she doesn t even know how to explain anything on the menu when you ask her a question. All she says is yeah it s good. How are we supposed to know that? Do better than this.

I was really missing perfect dosas and found this gem. I bet their mysore masala is one of the best dosas. Their idles are a true delicacy too. I came here with my friends who havent tried south indian before and I was proud of having made the right choice. Thanks to Nayana for her friendly service.

placed an order at this place once and they asked me to cancel since the item wasnt available. Once i did as they asked, they lied to uber to say i never cancelled and they should charge me. Uber investigated and found out I was right and reimbursed me. Scammers.

We were here to have some good desi food, we tried the Mutton kheema dosa and the Mysore masala dosa as well as the gulabjamun which were all too good. The quantity was also very good, very full-filling and the Taste made us feel at home. Naina was the one who helped us and she was extremely sweet. 11/10 for every aspect let it be food, service, ambience or even the cutlery!!

Amazing food and hospitality.

I just had food delivered from here. My saag paneer was a liquid soup with teeny pieces of spinach and hardly any paneer. It had no flavor, and yet, shockingly, it was the absolute best part of my meal. My garlic naan had absolutely no garlic. In addition, it was rock hard most places. It appeared they had thrown it into a microwave for far too long, it was that kind of hard crispy chewy over microwaved feel. There were literally two bites that I could eat that were hard in a way that made it unable to be eaten. I thought the meal couldnt get any worse, then I opened up the gulab jamun they sent me, and popped it in my mouth. As I bit down on it, it became clear that it had been in the little plastic container so long that the syrup had started to become alcohol and it that poorly fermented liquid exploded into my mouth. It was so disgusting that it made me vomit in my living room. I picked up the container to smell it and realized it was just all fermenting and not even sugar anymore. Truly, truly awful. Do not come here for food unless you are looking to be sick and obtain inedible food.

A cozy little place to grab a delicious dosa or the like. You can dine in or get a takeout. The dosas were crisp and yummy (they have a multitude of vegan and gluten-free options) and the service was both delightful as well as quick. Priya went above and beyond to answer our questions and even gave me an extra accompaniment just because I had a question about it. She exuded warmth and her smile, despite the long day she had had, made you feel welcome. I came away sated by the food (I had the spinach and tofu dosa while my friend had podi masala dosa and mango lassi) and uplifted by the wonderful staff. I would definitely come here again!

I love their Chicken Tikka Masala curry! Its the best Ive tasted in Canada. I ordered it a bit spicy, and it was even tastier with the naan. The lady who handled my order was very friendly and gave me the best options. This was much better compared to the bad experience I had at a nearby Indian restaurant. It only took 15 minutes to get my order, while the other restaurant took over an hour and still said my order wasnt ready. Highly recommend!

They sell stale snacks, tried their chicken puff and it was the most disgusting snack I ever had!

Best dosa s in midtown. The Podi masala dosa was amazing - crispy and tasty, the Mysore masala was yummy (not crispy cause of the chutney). The sambhar and chutney is great. The staff is super nice and prompt.

They have THE best dosa and sambhar in Toronto. We have tried more than 10 places but theres nothing near to them. We always had a takeout but went for dine in for the first time and found even their service was second to none. Swati is amazinggg she is extremely attentive and gave personal attention to us. Please do not miss the paneer bhurji dosa, I almost did and wouldnt have known what Im missing. The flavours were on point, delicious, spice levels were perfect and no compromise on taste whatsoever. Average but decent. Im normally not a big fan of franchisees because I find their food to be just similar to ready-to-eat packets. However, that was not the case in this branch as it tries to overcome the franchise formulae with maybe some addition by their chefs. Anyhow, the food here is standard but decent fare, like something that you could expect from a typical Udupi restaurant in Mumbai.

Today s review is more of a thank you note for a great store that shows how they believe in customer service and fulfillment . I ordered from UBER and the order was not fulfilled correctly , I asked UBER to help me with the issue but UBER being UBER just automated their message with you are not eligible for a refund at least listen to your customer and that is exactly what the My Dosa place did , I spoke to them and they helped me with the correct order . I really wanted to give 0 star to this place. We ordered chilli chicken and masala dosa. There was barely any masala in the dosa and potatoes didnt taste fresh. And the chicken was hard as a stone. We had to leave the chicken as it is. Will never go there again and such a waste of money.

We wanted to have nice Indian breakfast and found this cosy restaurant in our neighborhood. This restaurant opens up at 8am unlike most other restaurants. We found food here very delicious & authentic. The restaurant is well appointed with 5-6 family tables for dine-in option. It s right on Yonge Street so very accessible and easy to locate. Service is great.

I ordered food on Door Dash, the masala send with the masala dosa is spoiled. I thought they make food everyday, or atleast preserve it properly. I ordered this for my kid and pregnant wife. Shame on you guys. Provide what people paid for. That s the least you can do.

Food was great, we had the hakkah chili chicken, plain dosa and mysore, all were great however the chili chicken was more like Tikka Masala and far from hakka but nonetheless was yummy. The staff were courteous and friendly, will certainly return. Update, went back for second time, the khuttu was bomb but one problem found an egg shell in my food and it hurt my tooth. I may still eat here but will remind the chef to watch for those egg shells. Changed my review from 5 star to 4 for this had no other issues but that egg shell unexpectedly was not nice.

Worst experience - Ordered a YUMMY cheese dosa, as they described it comes w cheddar and mozzarella cheese, and here unlucky me, got the dosa without any cheese at all.

Dined-in with 5 kids and this was a big hit! Kids loved the cheese dosa and we loved the keema and the chicken tikka dosas. Also great fries and rasmalai! We will be back again soon. We are from South india and really appreciated how delicious everything was.

In my opinion Indian food is a blessing to the world and this restaurant highly proves that to me. Im a regular and I have ordered many rotis from here. Ive tried every different sauce and I love them all. They also offer different spice levels if youre not into spicy food. Their Naan bread is really good too. I also love the Idli and the side sauces they serve it with. Their mango cheesecake is incredible and very tasty too. Its the perfect level of sweet. My Roti Place is also the reason I fell in love with Masala tea. Staff is very friendly and appreciative too. This place saves me when I have no time to cook and I want a delicious lunch or dinner. I highly recommend it.

Paper masala Rosa tooooooooo good

Fast food style dosa and roti restaurant with some additional northern and southern Indian dishes. Lots of vegetarian options. The dosas are huge and quite tasty. Or northern dishes like aloo ghobi, paneer dishes and others, served with rice. Friendly, family atmosphere with great attention paid to the quality of the food. Different levels of spice available. Prices are quite reasonable.

Finding authentic Indian food in a foreign land is always a joy. We went in for a late dinner and ordered lamb keema dosa & butter chicken dosa. Firstly, I was pleasantly surprised at how huge they were! Secondly, giant dosas tend to get soggy usually but their dosa was so crispy up until the end, even after a good 30-45 minutes. That is very rare. Now coming to the taste, thought wed try something new & we werent disappointed. The keema absolutely melted in my mouth & was the right amount of spicy. It was so good. As was the butter chicken. We also ordered buttermilk which I loved. It was so refreshing after a hot day. The place is a cosy hole-in-the-wall. Nothing too fancy. Perfect for the late-night cravings or a light snack run. And it stays open till 2am! The host was extremely sweet. The service was fast. I and my friends tried dosa and medu vada. The dosa was crisp and fresh. The vada was flavourful.

Evicted from premises, use your imagination and common sense as to why. I will share that cleanliness and caring about the community they failed to serve with dignity and respect due to lack of cleanliness and overall curbside tidiness were extremely lacking. It was obvious that they just came to take and seriously failed to give in any fashion which is an obvious reflection of bad habits and lack of serious management. It never is how you start that counts but how you finish hence their own self made doom.

We tried Bisibele bath. It was really bad. They shouldn t serve items they don t know about. Dosa was decent!

This review is specific for this branch. The quality, quantity and taste of food was utterly disappointing. I ve been to most of their outlets and dosas are generally great, not here. The potato filling on dosas was a joke. It felt like food is being served for the heck of it. Went out with family and very disappointed.

The food here is on another level! The food made me feel like I was at home and it was very comforting. Ive never had Indian food before so Priya recomended I try the Chicken Biryani. After literally 5 minutes lf waiting I was met with a tall clumbsy mess of chicken and rice that came with a spectacular dessert that really tied the meal all together. The portions were more than generous and I walked out with a full belly and a smile on my face. Im so glad that I came here for the first time experience and will definitely be back with some friends next time! Thank you so much Priya for so accommodating despite me coming in half an hour before close. Very satisfied with my visit. Update: the food gave me explosive diarrhea. Ive been sitting on the toilet the past hour begging for mercy. Dont get my wrong the food is still unparallel, it just hurts more coning out than going in. I started ordering their chicken dum briyani since last week n everything was good the first 2 times, then the quality of their food & service started decreasing. The food spicy level fluctuates everyday. Their female cashiers r nice n pay attention to details. Their male cashiers r arrogant & disgraceful. Yesterday they packed my food with broken lid of raita n gulab jamun n the liquid fell on the bag till i reached home. Today another male cashier who apparently is a manager as i was told by their chef, was not accepting his mistakes at all. I cudnt hear him over the phone at all neither did he cud hear me bcuz their background music was so loud. I was close by so i disconnected n stopped by to place the order in person. I didnt say a word until he was done with the lady infront of me. Bcuz of courtesy also the music was still loud. Once he started taking my order i spoke loudly to give him my order to make sure there is no mistake n i specifically told him no garnishing. N he even repeated it to me saying no garnishing n i confirmed him again. But when i was double checking my order to make sure there is no broken lid i saw they put garnishing in there. N i told them i said no garnishing. He refused to admit he made a mistake n lied to the chef saying he didnt hear over the phone bcuz he was talking to someone else. I said i only want the remake if its quick they said 5 mins. I said ok. I didnt say anything at this point that he took my order in person not in the phone. but the remake was taking longer than they told me n i m super tired so i said just refund me the money i want to go home. The guy started getting furious saying he didnt hear me over the phone. I kept telling him i never placed the order on phone u cudnt even hear the name of the dish. Thats y i came in person n u were not talking with anybody else while taking my order. U even repeated it to me no garnishing then he was trying to shift blame on me saying no u never said no garnishing. I said check ur cameras. He was reluctant to give me the refund but when at the end he was too arrogant to accept his mistake so voided the transaction n refunded me the money. If this is the managers attitude who is too proud to accept his own mistake then may god bless the one he is training. The chef said owner never comes so i can see y the manager thinks he owns the place now. Again more than welcome to check cameras if u care how ur customers r being treated. Also the place became so slippery due to rain outside, no carpet, no rag inside n u can trip anytime. So they also need to work on their safety and hazard or can just wait until a customer sue them. I really liked the spicy food but the service i got today, never going back.

Just the best indian food in Toronto. And The best Indian Restaurant. This is like all you wish for in another country. Ghar ka thaana. I love you guys. Your food is so amazing. Thank you guys.

I ordered through Uber for a chicken curry without roti. I also mentioned in the notes to ensure that the packaging is complete filled with gravy as the outlet sent very less gravy in my previous order. However, to my shock I was sent chicken curry in a roti ignoring the instructions. On speaking with the restaurant, the owner tells me that next time they will send me extra gravy. My Order was for $40 bucks and this is what I get to hear from the owner. I am never ordering from here again. The Glebe road outlet was still better. I will advise other customers to take note of the deteriorating standards of this outlet.

I ve been here a couple of times and the food has been good. Staff is also friendly. Last time my dosa was a little softer than I liked and I asked them that I wanted a crispy one. The staff was very cooperative and gave me another one which was very nice of them since I didn t tell them in advance that I wanted it crispy.

Had the best paper thin ghee dosa with very tasty sambar and chutneys. A great find...simple and authentic South Indian food. Great service from Vamshi and Suchi.

Lovely restaurant for takeaway dinners! The owner is very kind and the food is great. Everything was prepared really quickly, the restaurant is very clean and the staff are every welcoming. I especially enjoyed the butter chicken roti! I highly recommend if you enjoy Indian food

Wonderful service! The staff here is so polite and friendly, they offered really great hospitality.

I gave a treat to my vegetarian friends on my birthday here, sambar vadas were really fresh and crispy, probably the best thing on the menu, idlis were also good. In dosas, we ordered Mysore masala and pav bhaji dosas, both were above average, although the sambar could use some improvement. The coconut chatni is to die for. All in all, great food but week ambience, could use some work on cleanliness and all over vibe of the place.

I recently had the pleasure of trying the lamb roti at MyRotiPlace for the first time. While the taste was enjoyable, I found the curry to be a bit overly spiced with masala. Unfortunately, the post-meal experience wasnt as great as I had hoped. On the positive side, the portion size was satisfying, and the staff was exceptionally kind. However, it was a bit disconcerting to see the person preparing the food also handling a mop and cleaning without wearing gloves.

What a terrible experience yesterday with this restaurant where I ordered Uttapam and what I got was a uttapam with literally no veggies I asked before ordering about veggies and basically I highlighted them with I m taking uttapam for tomatoes and onions and basically veggies which will make me feel full in afternoon but literally they just sprinkled onions and carrots with not tomatoes and they did replaced my uttapam twice saying they will give better as per requested but they didn t make it. What I feel here is don t fool customers saying that you can serve something which you actually don t have in your kitchen. Just be straightforward to improve the satisfaction of customers rather than just replacing it many times serve best in first case by being true.

Idli chutneys and sambar were good, veggie fried rice was also good. The veg stew which came with idiyappam was a disaster..
