Since it was founded in 1958 as a single pancake house in Ohio, Perkins today has nearly 300 restaurants in 32 states and Canada, of which approximately 85 are company-owned. Committed to delivering 100% satisfaction through service excellence and positive dining experiences, the brand embraces a Kindness Served Daily philosophy.
The staff. I’m in my early 40’s and got a flash forward of why we often see a group of old men sitting in these types of diners having breakfast. It truly is the staff. The food is great but the staff are fantastic. A big shout out to Jay, Gonzales and particularly Mandy. While I often have the same three servers, they are all great. When ever I stay in Toronto, I look forward to coming down for breakfast.
Shout out to Ricky!! The staff was very friendly and welcoming. Ricky was super friendly with us and my kids. Great server and super hospitable. I think we would go back, just to be served by him again. Breakfast was good and filling. Kids meal is super big and my kids enjoyed every bite. Thank you for a lovely meal.
I always stop for breakfast here if I am in the area, Perkins does the best breakfast in the GTA. I had the strawberry croissant french toast which is both a delightful idea and deliciously executed, a key thing to get both right. They let me adjust my combo to get more bacon and no eggs = perfection 👌🏼 Their breakfast sausage are great too! Staff always friendly and professional A+++ 🏆🎉✨
Hello people who crave flavor and love food!🥰 Perkins is a popular American chain restaurant, and is tasty I was very thrilled to eat here.🌎🫡 No matter where you have come from I would recommend you bring your family here at least once. It really is a great family restaurant. 🏆🤤 👋🫣The restaurant can be difficult to see it is one block west of the 401 on Dixon. On the north side! Right beside the Holiday Inn.✈️🏢 I had "pigs in a blanket" that was so good that I was joking I felt like a pig who wanted to go home and fall asleep in my blanket.. so I did.🤫 In Canada love a tasty breakfast!🤓🥞🍳🥓 I hope no matter your dietary requirements you find something to eat here. I'm sure you will. Even if you have to travel to come to this location I recommend it. That's not a joke because it's attached to a Holiday Inn hotel. Truly, I was excited to eat here & leave this review as they have some great menu options and this is a place for people who like food.🤯 😬I would say that the hash browns were just a little cold but I enjoyed the whole experience. The staff worked hard & were very polite.💯 If you are new to Canada you will recognize that we are different from the United States though we have many things in common. 🌎✌️ I like leaving reviews and I do it a little bit like a passion trying to make the world a better place. Please be kind to business owners. 🤗🫡 If you are reading this I would appreciate if you hit thumbs up on my review! I like great food & the awesome people who read my reviews.😉
This restaurant was clean and the staff were friendly. The food was okay but it cost more than it does at any other restaurant of comparison. Elsewhere. They share the parking lot with the Holiday inn but the parking is free unless it’s longer than two hours. Also you may not be able to find parking period. Overall you could probably go somewhere else that is more convenient.
Nice place, connected to the Holiday Inn. The menu offers a good selection. The food is good and decently priced. The staff is friendly and the service fast and efficient.
Their breakfast is really good. I also love the fact that you can choose between tater tots and hasbrowns and sausage patty and sausage links. Most restaurants only have one option. Not so sure about their bakery items. I got a cinnamon roll. I didn't have it the same day and the next day I went to have it, it was so hard. I didn't bother and throw it away.
Overall, good & would return. However: 1. You have a 2 hour parking limit. 2. Glasses for drinks were dirty (Previous persons lip stains) 3. Table and seat cushion are a little worn out. PANCAKES are amazing! Everything came out at decent time and was hot and fresh. All condiments were easily available. Great menu! Service was good, nothing outstanding. Great place to eat overall. And lovely display of goodies right as you walk in:)
Delicious food! Great portions and best pancakes ever
Great atmosphere! Our party table of 13 really had an enjoyable time. The service was excellent! We will be back!
Classic breakfast diner with lunch options as well.
Great value. The food was hot and fresh. Service was quick. Staff were kind and courteous. The dining area was very clean, with lots of space and lighting. Parking: Free 2 hour parking
I love Perkins the food is always so fresh and delicious. Service is also always very quick and they refill the coffee without asking!
The waitress was warm and friendly. She recommended that I have the steak and eggs. The menu says: USDA Choice 6 oz. grilled Top Sirloin steak*, topped with garlic butter and served with two eggs*, choice of hash browns or breakfast potatoes and choice of three buttermilk pancakes, Mammoth Muffin® or buttered toast. The portion of food compared to the price was ludicrous. Sat near the kitchen, and it sounded like there were 10 cooks yelling at each other in Punjabi. After three refills of coffee and 30 minutes later, I received breakfast. The steak was 6 oz, salty, marbled, chewy, burnt, well done (ordered medium rare), and tough (similar to Ponderosa Steak House). Two small eggs were cooked too long (hard-boiled textured), and the toast wasnt buttered. I had to ask for butter. I was the only person in the restaurant. Price was $35.99 + tax + tip was $56. Parking: Bring your parking ticket to the restaurant, and theyll stamp it for you. 2 hours free parking for the restaurant only. Kid-friendliness: There are high chairs available.
Great place to get breakfast
Pie was weird?
The place is old but the bathrooms are clean and the service is good. Only the hostess didnt seem too happy to be there! This is my first time in Tronto and so far every restaurant I go to, the hostesses or waiters dont smile like in USA. So it must be normal here. The food was good although I find prices of everything being so much higher than in USA (yes, I know its in Canadian dollar, but its still more expensive). I was happy to see they have a breakfast menu for 55+ for a couple of dollars less. If you want a good egg, bacon and potato breakfast this is a good place.
Food and service were good. Booth had coffee spilled on seat that I had to get them to clean before sitting down, only to have lipstick on both water glasses. Cleanliness clearly questionable. Parking: Free parking in paid lot with validation at restaurant
Parking: Free parking for 2hrs only Parking space
Parking: 2 hours free with Perkins Food
We came here after our flight got delayed and it did not disappoint. Travis was our waiter and he was so kind and had great customer service. The food was amazing, we had the pancakes! Thank you Travis for being a great waiter during our short stay.
we were disappointed to find out 2 people can NOT split a pot of coffee and they dont sell it but the cup ... so we passed on coffee **Strike 1** my biscuits were ok but dry and my BFs toast wasnt buttered **strike 2** my BF found 2 hairs in his food **strike 3**
Severely under staffed, only 2 servers... Running full speed, not maintainable
Amazing and Delicious Food
Food was passable
After the terrible day we had with our canceled and delayed flight we ended up at the holiday inn and decided to eat at Perkins. Travis was our server, he was fantastic! Very cheerful and attentive! He brightened up our day! Give Travis a 10 out of 5! And the food was hot and delicious! Please give kudos to Travis for a job well done!!
This place is fantastic food an server are amazing
When I had an issue with a recent delivery, this Perkins went above and beyond to help make it right. Thank you to all the employees who made this meal and the service excellent! You guys are awesome!
Service - Mandy and her team were incredible. We were given descriptions of the food and suggestions that we never considered. They accommodated our small child so well. Food - the best quality omelette in the GTA. The eggs were soft, folded so well, and coocked to perfection. Most restaurants burn and dry out the omelets and don t do a thin fold. These were Michelin quality.
The food was so salty it hurts your mouth. The pricing was like a middle of the road restaurant, but the food quality was that of a high school cafeteria. They serve beer, but dont have a menu or pricing for it, leaving you with the assumption that its going to be as over priced as everything else they serve. Its essentially there to take advantage of tired travellers, who more than likely would not return if given the choice.
Place could use a little updating, but the food was good and the service was great.
Great breakfast and service great
First time at this restaurant, was a party of three adults and two children, the server was really friendly but that s where it ends. I ordered the pork chops that on the menu says two chops and received only one, added mushrooms got dry mushrooms and mashed potatoes with gravy even with the gravy it was dry, the pork chops we re supposed to be Cajun but had to add salt as they where taste less, so I didn t complain about not getting two chops, best part of the dish was bacon green beans also dry but with the Bacon edible. The rest of the group wasn t anymore satisfied as the chicken fingers had a burnt oil taste. First and last time at the restaurant.
Between Mandy, Jay, and Apo I love it when my company sends me here. Service, food, and atmosphere are all a 10! Edit: I been back anfew more times, and really all the staff are top notch Wheelchair accessibility: Wheelchair accessible
This restaurant lived up to the pics..great food ....nice seating...clean toilets
Cant go wrong for breakfast
A bit pricey at this location.
Food was great and the service exceptional
Great experience and food Thanks Emily for the quick excellent service Food
Good more people should try
I dont get why the rating is so low, this is a nice place with incredibly friendly staff! Sometimes you just need a nice basic breakfast and a smile to start off your day, and they deliver.
Great breakfast, even better service.
Good food. Quiet atmosphere. Nice service.
Good option comfortable dinning rooms , only complaint which is more of a personal issue is it could use a more modern touch on decor.
Love their breakfast, if you want a big breakfast this is a good option (my husband adds a couple of eggs to the omelet). Pies are amazingly fresh and delicious. Service is very good, prices have gone up so we dont come as often but still one of our gotos. Best buttermilk pancakes! (If youre seating ppl on the small side, please turn on the A/C over there).
A really good place for breakfast and lunch. Delicious pancakes and good coffee! Prices are bit expensive. Polite staff.
Ive always found the Phantom of the Opera to be over rated. But this place isnt.
The food was overpriced. Our server was nice though. Our food was like a $100 for 3 plates and there was barely any food on them. I hate the restaurant. Dont come here. Vegetarian options: There is nothing vegan, dont come here.
Always amazing when we go...
Friendly, great presentation and taste, overall great food. My favourite breakfast spot! While the breakfast meals are great, only 4 stars because every time I go one of the waiters aggressively says the service is not included. (Aka tip me).
We love perkins not only for the food but also the staff
Horrid. Overpriced for small quantities and mediocre taste.
The food was nice but really over price for the range of the establishment. Food
Not impressed what 75,- buys you. (2x half sandwiches & 1 kids menu with some loveless salad)
There are 2 girls who work here, one with crazy hair who looks like Amanda Miguel And another big lady with short hair with glasses, they are always bad people and have a terrible attitude... The food is good but the service is very bad . These types of people should be kinder since they are in front of the public...
Perkin Family Restaurant, nestled in the bustling vicinity of YYZ Airport, is a culinary oasis for the weary traveler. As I sauntered in, the aroma of sizzling bacon and the warm, inviting ambiance promised a reprieve from the sterile airport atmosphere. The French Toast Brioche was a delightful surprise, a perfect balance of crispy exterior and pillowy soft interior, each bite a testament to the art of breakfast cuisine. The scrambled eggs were a fluffy cloud of morning joy, and the bacon oh, the bacon crisp, yet tender, a savory sonnet that played its tune with every crunch. The pot of coffee, though reminiscent of Denny s in its mildness, was just the way I like it comforting, familiar, a gentle companion to the robust flavors of the meal. It s the kind of brew that doesn t overshadow the food but complements it, allowing the breakfast to be the star of the show. Service here is attentive without being intrusive, a rare quality. They re the kind of folks who remember to remind you to get your parking validated a small but significant gesture that speaks volumes of their consideration for guests. In essence, Perkin Family Restaurant is a place where the food speaks of home, the service feels like friendship, and the experience leaves you longing for your next layover. Vegetarian options: They have limited number of vegan meals Parking: 2 hour free parking. Remember to get your parking validated
Facility needs are update, parking available but inconvenient. Service and food quality work 3.75 overall
Restaurant of affordable food in the hotel. Deliciously. A varied menu. Large portions. Coffee in a bottomless teapot))) Pleasant service. I recommend
Mandy is amaizing!! Our recent visit to Perkins was an absolute delight, largely thanks to our wonderful server. From the moment we walked in, she greeted us with a warm smile that immediately put us at ease. Throughout our meal, her friendly and outgoing personality truly brightened our day. Her jokes and humor added an extra layer of joy to our dining experience, making us feel like valued guests. Not only was she a pleasure to interact with, but she also provided exceptional service. She was attentive to our needs, ensuring that our orders were taken promptly and that we had everything we needed throughout our meal. Her professionalism and efficiency were commendable, and it was clear that she takes pride in her work. In addition to the outstanding service, the food at Perkins was delicious. From the mouthwatering breakfast options to the scrumptious desserts, every dish was prepared with care and tasted fantastic. The quality of the ingredients shone through, and it was evident that Perkins takes pride in serving top-notch food. Overall, our experience at Perkins was superb, thanks in large part to our exceptional server. Her outstanding service, combined with the delicious food and inviting atmosphere, made for a memorable dining experience. She truly deserves recognition for her hard work and dedication. We look forward to returning to Perkins soon, knowing that well be greeted with a smile and excellent service once again. Thank you, Mandy, for a wonderful service!
The service and food was really good. Only issue we had was that the free parking was for only two hours.
Great food and very friendly staff
Good vibes, experienced staff, amazing comfy seats and food is even better, would recommend to anyone new to toronto and unfamiliar with canadian food
The will scam on you the free parking. AVOID. The hotel included is no good. Go to another restaurant or hotel... plenty in the area.
Always fast and friendly service. The best coffee here. The choices on the menu are huge and always satisfying. Pigs in a blanket are my new favorite breakfast choice. 3 fluffy pancakes wrapped around great tasting sausages. I got a side order of marble rye bread and this type of bread always makes me happy. Parking: Huge and grab a ticket because theres an automated arm to let you in & out. Check in with the cashier to direct you regarding the ticket before you exit the lot. I think the first 2 hours are free and then you need validation to avoid paying.
Breakfasts is bit on the pricey size of the portion and quality. Service was good and seating was comfortable. Free 2 hour parking. They will validate your ticket.
The lady at reception is so rude, I saw her the way she was talking the uber drivers. That was so disrespectful for them. Must some action for that.
Perkins for over 25 years has been a great place to interact with people . Staff remember you. many worked there for over 15 yesrs. Perkins has always been great. Went for all day breakfast for lunchtime. Disappointed Menu changed. Ordered potato pancakes did not taste like potatoes greasy salty no potatoe taste flat like cardboard. Loved the sausages but too salty. Our plates looked empty..something missing than usual. Way over priced for breakfadt food. Chef or cook need a better receipes Go back to original. . Hubby had bacon hashbrowns eggs..everything was way too salty. We had juice surprised watered down. Never had that before. Prices way over priced. Quality down greasy salty Grateful chairs and booths were renovated. New staff were great pleasant and helpful. Felt like home but Chef Cook need to go back to the best receipes.
The food is a little expensive but the portions are fantastic. They have huge combo breakfast meals. They will eff you up on the price of coffee (4.55+ tax) so be careful. The waiter we had barely understood English. Had to repeat the order over and over and basic instructions were not understood.
Really likeed the food and service
I was super happy with the first server whom had given us tea however a different server ending up stepping in and it wasnt the same experience/ energy from the first fella. regardless the food was good but some of the items were prices a bit higher than expected. Give it a solid 4/5. Might try this place one more time but I dont have a strong desire to come back here anytime soon. **Toilet pressure in the bathroom was low but the water to wash your hands was perfect temperature.
Food quality just average
Plenty of parking not rubbing elbows & crowded
This has always been our all day breakfast place to go to. Prices are okay, service is good and of course the pancakes, bacon and eggs is just classic! Parking is a little tight on Sundays and also due to construction, free for 2 hours. Parking: Paid parking, first 2 hours is free with validation from the restaurant.
Great service
Food was good, service was good, price is a little expensive for what it is
I got the something 12? This place is great, makes me want to eat breakfast for dinner and breakfast for lunch and breakfast for breakfast
Good choice for breakfast.
Lots of great memories here. Always friendly, good price and good food
Best coffee and French toast ever.
1 star rating is heavily influenced by the food. I ordered the salmon which came with two sides for $33. Price is reasonable if the food was good. The salmon was small, overcooked, and looked nothing like the photo. The baked potato had a crunch to it and somehow didn t taste like potato. The Mac and cheese was tasteless. Maybe other dishes there are good but I really do not recommend any of what I had. Could be cause I got it to go? I was staying at the attached holiday inn and started eating as soon as I got back to my room.
Way to expensive for what you got. Disaster of a parking lot, so crowded was crazy. Parking: Not enough, shared with Holiday Inn.
Parking: 2hr parking free Food
Mandy, our waitress, made this whole experience incredible. She was very attentive and bantered with the best of them. She deserves a raise and a promotion. #mandyisthebest
Perf.
The portions are large and tasty! Customer service is fantastic! They are so kind and try hard to please everyone in their busy restaurant. I cant wait to go back again! It had a nice cozy, yet busy vibe. The only problem was parking. There was a sign that said 2 hours free for Perkins customers. On the way out I was charged $8. I assume you have to get the ticket validated? Parking: Make sure you get parking ticket validated or risk paying at least $8 Kid-friendliness: Many kid friendly options. Also A kids menu
Ate here a couple times since it was attached to our hotel. Service was great. Food was pretty standard, nothing too exciting. But the prices were insane. Almost $30 for a chicken strip meal is wild. I couldn t get past the fact that it was more then a triple club sandwich. It was a fine experience but wouldn t recommend based on prices alone.
Waiter Gonzalo was simply the best waiter Ive ever had the pleasure of being served by. Extremely fast, courteous, and sharp. He more than deserves his feedback...
Goooooog
no vegan options in 2023. I feel like Im in hillbilly town
1.5 hour wait for breakfast, after we were seated. Disappointing.
The food was obviously cooked previously then just warmed up. Further the biscuit was so bad that couldnt finish it. It felt like it was made at least a week prior. About the only high point was the coffee
Run down and really expensive for what you get.
The food was sub par at best. $34 for what they called a triple A steak(was more like a flattened roast) limp asparagus and boxed macaroni and cheese. The service was not great either, had to ask for a refill on bottomless soft drinks and was told they only serve coke yet they have multiple choices on the menu.
Really good food. Service was d excellent.
I want to say that the Hostess who has white long nails and long hair is very rude and disrespectful towards customers. Things that i have seen her do will make a person cringe. She needs to get some manners that she does not have. She even throws things on the table. She talks down to customers. Looks more times looking at herself. My opinion she should be fired and if i was the boss she would be. I wear an Air Cast Boot and a Cane. I would rather walk to a different Restaurant and be in pain than go into Perkins Family Restaurant & Bakery. Would not recommend going due to the Hostess. If I was a Host I would give customers respect and make the place more welcome so customers will want to eat at the restaurant. I do have a Title. Cheers.!
Food and Service was good. But food was pricey for 2 people
Last minute Sunday brunch decision, trying something new. Had not been here for over 10 years, and not much has changed, which is mostly a good thing. Clean restaurant, quick service, and hot tasty food options. Would have liked real maple syrup, and the bottomless coffee is a little pricey per person. Its attached to a hotel, and near the airport, so youll find travelers of all kinds; family friendly for sure. Parking: Parking is free for 2 hours, validate your ticket at the reception area on your way out.
A normal lemon meringue pie has a normal pie crust, they charge 19 dollars for a gram cracker crust pie. They falsely advertised on their website as well showing the normal crust in all the pictures, instead of the graham cracker crust. The two tastes dont even go well together. They are trying to cut costs on something so simple and are saying they always do it this way. Dont order pies from them. Obviously they dont care about their customers. When I complained due to their false advertising they tried to say that is how they always make their pies with graham cracker crusts, but as you see by the first image on their site, that is incorrect, what the first picture is what they advertise they make and the second image is the poor quality pie that they gave me.
Had to send back twice my food. Found hair both times, one inside the hamburgers bun (i hadnt even tried the food yet. Only opened it to put some ketchup). The second time under the fries. My friend didnt have any issues. The server did an amazing job with the issues. The manager however tried to play it as if they werent hairs and when he finally admitted they were. He asked how many times had I been to the restaurant (not sure how thats relevant) makes me wonder if they give more or less hairs to new customers or to long time customers. At the end we got my meal comped as I could not finish it (didnt even start the first time around) We ended up having another one to go. And my friend checked it thoroughly for me. When the manager saw her doing that. He right away went to inspect and ask if everything was OK in a very condescending tone. I went to the washroom at that moment. My friend told me she felt like he was trying to accuse us of the issues.
The Service was AAA plus. Great to know after all these years, some things still stay the same! Parking: Parking validated Kid-friendliness: High Chair provided
A nice looking place with mediocre tasting food that made me feel sick shortly after consuming and service that was actually quite unprofessional and fairly rude. Not a fan personally.
Best pancakes Ive had in my life.
Great set service and consistent. You get what you expect when going to Perkins.
Staff are nice, food is not good for the price, and then atmosphere is pretty meh.
The friendly and helpful staff saved this from a 1 star review. The food was VERY expensive ($5 for average coffee, and $21 for pancakes?!?!?). Only went there because flight was cancelled and it was connected to the hotel.
Not Good
Flight was cancelled and I received a hotel voucher and meal voucher from air canada. I was told at the hotel that I could use my meal voucher at the restaurant and I was happy to see that it was open until 11pm. I went in at 9:30 to get something to take to my room and waited around for a while. I never saw an employee the entire time so I gave up and went back to my room hungry.
Great food and service!! Shout out to our waiter Travis!!! If you are lucky enough to get him serving your table he is super helpful with our dinner choices and pure sunshine to make our experience fun!
Food and service was excellent. Portion sizes were very generous.
Overpriced!! Food properly prepared but tasted like the oil was off . Muffin inedible.
Slightly better but far more expensive Version of Dennys. Customer service does need improvement waited too long for the debit machine never got water or tea refilled and waited almost 10min after we were seated my section had 3 tables 2 already had fun . Kinda ridiculous
Excellent service and tasty food. Felt like at home Food
Every time we come to Perkins we get the Brioche French toast- ITS A MUST! A ritual! We end up always getting the most wonderful service and food never misses!!!
Quick service and great food. Tricky to get in the place because of construction. But worth the hassle.
Nice place, great service, amazing staff but the washrooms need more care. Parking: Expensive Wheelchair accessibility: Available
Mediocre food, cold toast, no urgency, no personality by the serving staff... Ran out of coffee, waters, and napkins.
Ridiculous concept that you should buy a pot of coffee for 2 to 3 cups in order to have 1 coffee. There is no single cup coffee choices and the rest will go to waste if you are alone. There is virtually no rational or reason behind such a gimmick, and none found anywhere else in Canada. All dishes are overpriced by 5 to 7 dollars, as if this was a tourist neighborhood while they have been established here for decades and attached to a hotel. There are many breakfast places north on Dixon and Airport Road, such as Tim Hortons and A&W on NorthWest Drive. Try to find a Stacked Pancake house, there is one in Vaughan and Bolton.
Good food
Generally inoffensive
Beware prices are over double the normal cost of A regular Perkins restaurant, this is an absolute disgusting gouging of travelers Who have no other choice? We walked out and went to McDonalds. This is just unbelievable and I dont know why theyre allowed to do this completely unacceptable. And there is no reason for it just because you happened to be around in airport.. $30 for 1 of their skillets. Thats over double the price of a regular Perkins. How is this even legal? The restaurant had maybe 6 people in it. When it should have been packed like a normal Perkins. But nobody including ourselves would eat there with these prices. I dont know who the manager or owner is. But they really need to re-evaluate their business practices. How does this place stay in business? Obviously, they continue to rip-off the unsuspecting travelers. And they should be ashamed. They wanted $4.50 for a muffin, can you believe that?
Food is always good at Perkins. Our server was fast, friendly, and very amusing!
You cancel my order , fixing even notice me . I was waiting 30 minutes, and after you cancelled. Stupid
Spent 35 dollars for a burnt burger... never again
food was great and the coffee strong Parking: I dont know attached to a holiday inn Wheelchair accessibility: we could walk straight in with a walker
Fast efficient service with good food. Parking is paid however they validate.
Our waiter was great, but the food was...average. But clean and friendly.
While the service from our server was great, the food quality was rather disappointing. I ordered potato pancakes. I know very well what they look like and how they are supposed to taste. I was served pancakes with a dose of shredded potatoes. Perhaps I should have sent them back, as the bacon was also overdone. Was in a hurry, so I ate the meal, tipped the server, and left. At least the muffins I got on the way out were good. Parking: The machine was broken, and we had to infirm the hostess.
Greasy and expensive food, I don t recommend it!
Very tasty food and great customer service. There was no rush for us to leave, they let us stay and take our time. Parking: 2hr free parking. The Perkins is attached to a hotel so the parking is shared between the hotel and restaurant.
My favourite pancakes. Our family just flew in from a super early morning flight. We were tired and grumpy. Kids especially. The 3 year-old was very difficult. Our waiter was super kind and helpful. Food was ready quickly and the coffee tasted great! Can t wait to come back soon!
I went with my hockey team after a game, we needed a quick meal but little did we know it wouldn t be quick! We had a game after and half the team didn t get any food!! We were last for our game after waiting almost 2 hours for food! Wish I could give it a zero for service.we had to leave before we even got our food!!!!
It was really good . Was really busy . I wondered if it was like that most weekends .
Fast, hot, and cooked as I requested. Attentive staff
Chicken salad awful, half a tomato and 2 thin slices cucumber and some lettuce with stale dried chicken dumped on top and the price was ridiculous if you go here stick to pancakes and cheap syrup
Had a great breakfast. Mandy was incredible! Great service and VERY funny!
Great brunch experience. Food was fresh and hot and served by a very pleasant server. Wonderful coffee. Washrooms clean and well stocked.
Nice place for breakfast; however, prices continue to climb up and up. This is probably the first time Ive heard of a restaurant charging me for hot water???
Great comfort food, excellent staff providing great service. Enjoyed my time and would recommend.
Really in troubleshooting.,. fortunately the server was pleasant and kind
We stopped in for breakfast before a convention at the Toronto Convention Center. Service was fast and friendly. The food was great. We both had omelets. The only downside to this location is the parking. I had to circle the lot for 10 mins before a spot opened up. Try looking to the west side of the building or around back. Dont forget to bring in your parking ticket to get validated, or youre going to pay $8 !!
My breakfast go to restaurant. Always ask for Ricky, hes the best waiter, more like a part of the family. Were regulars now, so were always treated exceptional. Food selection is amazing, and price is quite reasonable for what you get. Definitely recommend.
Quick service and food is hot and tasty. Plenty of parking.
The burger was burnt the first time around. The second time it tasted like the burger that has been in the back of your freezer for a few months. The staff was amazing. Too bad I cant say the same about the food
Scam Artists will charge you for parking. AVOID THIS RESTAURANT. Go somewhere you are not charged and valued as a customer. Doesnt matter if you spend like s lot of money... 2 hour free parking is a lie. EDIT: The response from the restaurant below is a lie... they never tried to correct anything instead told me to come back to the restaurant for a discounted meal. What a joke... spend more money to get scared again.
The only reason over all they got one star less from perfect is the price. Yes its better then average restaurant and the menu is great. It can be reduced a small amount other then that its a great place to have a very long stay with a good meal.
We had only a short wait for a table but service was slow. The prices charged dont match the quality of food. We were disappointed!
BEST PANCAKES EVER! No other breakfast place compares. Ive actually never had their lunch/dinner food, no matter what time Ive gone - the breakfast food is the winner here. The coffee could be better and they need to put the Mediterranean omelette back on the menu.
The restaurant is located on the first floor of the hotel. The waitress Anastasia is very pleasant, friendly, polite. She immediately offered her help. The food is delicious. A cozy place.
I have been here several times and it is my go to place because of the ease of getting there and parking. However, I was very disappointed in the quality of the food today - the oil used to make the omelet was obviously stale or the cooking plates have not been cleaned in a while. I was with a client so I did not bring this up with the server.
Our eggs were overcooked. The hashbrowns were cold & tasteless. We were shocked when we got the bill. They charged us $5.00 for hot water!!!! Thats terrible.
If the Holiday Inn East hotel wasnt directly connected, I wouldnt know why you would eat here... We inevitably had to spend a night at the Holiday Inn (missed our connecting flight due to the weather - Air Canada) and got food vouchers for the Perkins. The restaurant has the charm of the seventies, but the staff are friendly. The menu is relatively simple, but Europeans will have a hard time finding something to eat.
I have been going to Perkins for years and it never fails. The staff is friendly, the food is absolutely delicious, plus there s free parking. Two thumbs up to Perkins.
Server was personable and thanked us. But the food was meh and very pricy. My omelet was tasteless. Hashbrowns were good but wont go back. Convenient if you need something edible and quick and youre at the hotel. Maybe a different meal would be better. Their desserts look incredible but didnt have any.
Expensive, poor value, they dont even use good eggs, its just overpriced Dennys with all the character of a strip mall. Pancakes were good, though. Vegetarian options: Omelette
Parking: Free parking for 2 hours for their customers Food
Food is overpriced and mediocre. Nothing spectacular.
