Qué Rico Tapas Bar in Toronto

Disappointed with the Quality of Drinks. I recently visited and was looking forward to enjoying some drinks. However, I couldnt help but notice that the alcohol seemed noticeably weaker than expected. It felt like the alcohol was watered down, which really affected my overall experience. While I understand that bars have to manage costs, serving diluted drinks can lead to dissatisfaction among customers who expect value for their money. Even when I ask for a Vodka and tequila shots was watered down very disappointing. On a positive note, If they could improve on the quality of their drinks, it would make for a much better experience. I hope they take this feedback into consideration!

The food was great and the team was amazing! We organized a group event here and everything exceeded our expectations. Highly recommend this venue for your next event.

All the dishes are tasty and we finished all the soup of Chupe de Mariscos. And the portion is decent. 10 out of 10.

Everything about this place was on point! Food was fantastic! We had the steak, salmon and Caesar salad! All absolutely delicious! Ambiance was perfect. Super clean and last but not least, our server Carlos, so incredibly warm and attentive. Thank you Carlos and the chef for a wonderful meal! It was worth the drive! We will be back:)

Lovely decor and vibe and the food was nice but not excellent. We got tostadas (plantain cups, not tortillas), some fried seafood and croquettes. The seafood croquettes were quite nice in flavour but the mushroom was lacking in flavour and I couldnt even remember that it was mushroom. Also very squishy croquettes, which Ive never tasted, almost wet. The fried seafood was fine. Big shrimp. But get something more unique/tasty. The tostadas were quite nice and the best dish but for me it was missing something. Salt? More acidity? Maybe both. Still very nice though!

Friendly welcome with a variety of quality, delicious dishes to suit every taste. Amazing cocktails, smiley and fast service, and a fun yet peaceful outdoor atmosphere.

Weve been twice now and love Que Rico! We went once on a date night and once with our extended family to celebrate a birthday on the patio. Wonderful service, great food and atmosphere. Great and super accommodating with our little ones. We love love the ceviche and the Paella on Sunday was also delish!

Great food! Loved the latin american tapas, and the interior is very beautiful. The patio looked great too but sadly it was raining when we went. The only thing that could be improved is clarity about kitchen hours. Google says 10:30pm, on the phone they said 10:00pm, the host said 11:00pm, then our server said 10:15pm. Very confusing as a guest.

Fantastic food and service, great ambience. Perfect for sharing! Did summerlicious and each ordered a different thing so we could taste the whole menu.

My husband and I finally went to this restaurant as its down the street from where we live and its definetly being added to our neighbour list!! The atmosphere was great especially on the beautiful large patio, service was attentive, and food was declious!! Plus the price point was great too - the steak and rice was like ~$30ish and huge portions. Also love that they give a little welcome shot of margarita and guacamole / chips :)

Amazing paella!

Great atmosphere and the food was good!

We had croquettes for an appetizer. For dinners, we tried the Chupe de Mariscos and Churrasco. Everything was very good and I would recommend. My only thought was that the broth for the Chupe de Mariscos could have been slightly hotter, it was barely warm. It was like the food was already cooked and then barely warmed to serve. But the taste for everything was amazing, the service was great, and I would definitely come back if we are in this area again.

This place is absolutely amazing! I recently held an event at Que Ricos and Maritza, Danna and Staff made it so memorable! I heard nothing but great compliments from our guests who attended the event. They thought the dishes served were so delicious and more then enough! The endless quantity for our guests, no one left hungry or disappointed! Thank you so much Maritza for feeding us and creating such a beautiful exotic atmosphere! The service that Danna and the rest of the staff were incredible! Working with Danna in planning our event was so easy! she understood what we wanted and what we needed! So helpful in making our day so special and beautiful, I do not think we would have gotten this anywhere else! Danna, you are a delight, so calming, so understanding and so talented in getting the job done! We were so worried about fitting a large group in the restaurant on a rainy day, but you made it work! Now you know you can fit 84 people sitting (inside) lol! To all the new clients, you can not go wrong, in coming here to either enjoy an evening out with family and friends or special date night! Watched the Italy vs. Albania European Finals. Great atmosphere with many screens to watch the game. The food was good, but the service was a bit underachieving.

If i could give a 0 i would. disgusting manager, they got our order wrong only 3/5 people were eating after they missed out on a whole dish. and missed cooked our meet. no attention to our table for drinks or other requests. took over an hour to get our food and not all of us even ate. on top of that the manager assured us a discount and by the end he started denying the discount. ridiculous and disgusting behaviour not even attentive to us while we were disgusting the issue he would walk away and interrupt me. first time coming here and never coming again. and i don t care for no response from the company. the manager especial is disrespectful and disgusting edited update: 1 thing this restaurant owner can t do is an apology. never w received in apology in person from anyone. we asked if there was a better selection of menu and we asked if we could eat from the food inside since we had never eaten there before. and we were never told it was an exception as many other people were eating there too. as it was the italian festival YOU as a manager should have had more coverage that day more staff, not a waitress that was there on his second day serving us. (no judgement to him he was the only one that helped the situation and we genuinely felt heard by him) as a manager and business owner the way you spoke to us at first and we have 3 people as witness was unacceptable you walked away mid conversation MULTIPLE TIMES so of course we had gotten frustrated. your staff made a mistake with our entire order and we got NO apology from you not even a how to make it right. you are honestly disgusting and your repping latinos in such a atrocious way. you have so much pride to even write a response when you know as customers we did nothing wrong we decided to give your small business a chance and the only person that seemed to care was your waiter.

This was the first time trying Qué Rico Tapas Bar and are we sure glad we did. The place is absolutely gorgeous. The drinks were delicious and the food was spectacular. Having just been to Miami last month, and having eaten some of the best food of my life in Little Havana, Qué Rico Tapas Bar was very reminiscent of my experience there. When I checked out the menu online before making the decision to go, I saw they had Tostones on the menu and thats what sold me I would highly recommend this restaurant. The service was 10/10 as

I liked the food we ordered the ceviche and empanadas , as a dessert tres leches and it was my favorite , the taste is really good and the vibe of the restaurant itself is pleasant . They give you two shots and some nachos to start as a courtesy which is a bonus

This was my second time here and it was exceptionally better then the first. We were a party of 8. Our server Froy was fantastic. He was so patient while we all discussed what we wanted to order from the vast menu. He told us the portion sizes for each tapas so we knew how much to order for sharing. He was friendly, positive and gave me the vibe he loves his job. The ceviche mixto, croquetas, manduro con rico queso all tasted amazing. Froy recommended the tres leches for dessert and it did not disappoint. Thank you for a lovely evening.

The good, service was amazing. Our server was super nice and helpful. The atmosphere is cool, and I liked the homage to convento Rico. The food wasn t super great, it wasn t bad but not super either. It could use a bit more zest or something to make it special. The raw ingredients are there, just missing a little bit of imagination. This is my opinion of course, and I am thinking of going back to try something else and hopefully prove myself wrong. Prices were fair.

Came with the family to try out the Winterlicious menu and try some items from the regular menu. The place is beautiful and sets an amazing ambience for dinner. The service was always courteous and very quick. The good was fabulous. Definitely worth coming back for another family dinner.

Food was good we had the Jalea for two and it was more than enough, one thing to fix would be the coffee, I had a cortado and it was not strong enough, otherwise everything was good

Beautiful restaurant, so colorful and pretty with delicious food and great service. Every bite was perfect, we had the empanadas, ropa vieja and the Peruvian seafood dish. We cant wait to go back and hopefully well have the same server. We will be recommending it.

Cozy place and nice service

We came here for lunch during the Christmas week. This place is so lovely! Definitely a gem. We ordered 3 tapas and a churrasco steak. Great portion and super tasty! Would definitely come back to try their paella next time ^^

Que Rico is definitely one of my new fav restaurants. From the minute you walk in the atmosphere and vibe is so welcoming. Drinks and food were all amazing. The servers were knowledgeable and friendly. 10/10 would recommend!

Que Rico is an amazing place! 10/10 would recommend coming here. Good and drinks are both delicious, and service is great. Food must-gets include the beef tacos (I ve never had better had better tacos), the guac and chips as well as the paella and beef main with fried plantains & rice. The spicy marg with jalapeño is so yummy! This place makes me feel like I m on vacation :)

Came here with a group of friends and had the best time! We loved the lowkey vibe and vibrant decor, it s not one of those loud and dark restaurants where you have to yell to have a conversation. The food was so delicious- my fave was the guacamole, octopus, and empanadas- would highly recommend! I think they might do the best empanadas in TO. And our server was so kind and sweet thank you for a great night!! If you re wondering if you should come here, yes u must.

This place has amazing food and great service. The chef Gustavo was amazing ! He accommodated us and made muscles in a spicy tomato sauce that should be added to the menu. Our server Arie was very helpful with great recommendations and helped made our dinner and drinks awesome. If you are Toronto go visit you and you will have an amazing time! Sharing this review from the perspective of someone who has both dined at AND served at Qué Rico Tapas Bar for 5+ months. In short - I have nothing but wonderful things to say about both this restaurant, and the team behind it. From the moment you step inside it feels like you re away on a tropical vacation (especially with one of the delicious signature cocktails in hand - I recommend a Mojito or the Qué Rico Jalisco!) A ton of thought and detail went into creating a beautiful interior. I ve tried just about everything on the menu and the food is all exceptional! It s delicious, unique, and made with love. You ll find Latin-American inspired dishes from Peru, Colombia, Ecuador and more! The back of house team cares a TON about the quality, presentation and flavour of their food - and it shows in every dish. Almost everything (including sauces, desserts, and even the garnishes for your drinks) are made in-house. You can t go wrong but definitely want to try the mushroom & ham croquetas, tacos, ceviche, empanadas, tostones, soups, and seafood entrees! (Oh - and leave room for dessert if you cant!) Lastly, this is a family-owned restaurant and although I am not part of their family - they treated me like I was! The owners/ management team are incredibly kind, fair, and committed to creating an exceptional experience for their guests. You should feel very good about supporting this local business. Save your money. Definitely some of these 5 star reviews are fake or people just lack tastebuds. Was really excited to try this place because of the reviews. The food was below average. My boyfriend who eats anything and everything was struggling to finish his meal. No flavour at all. We ordered the nachos, eggplant main dish and the puposas. Nothing had flavor. I was using the lemon from my water to add some taste to everything. Maybe they ran out of salt/spices that night. For a latin restaurant there seemed to be a lack of spice and zing. The nachos were the worst. It was a joke. They charge a leg and an arm for it and put such little cheese and other toppings. It was bland, dry and they skimped out on everything. I could count each of the number of black beans they put on it with my hands and feet. The cheese was next to none. The free hot sauce/salsa was the most flavour they had. Definitely not going back. Really disappointed because the ambiance, speed, service, look and feel and location were all 10/10. The food came so fast but maybe thats why it tasted awful. Edit in response to management: no one comes to an eating establishment for ambiance, look and feel, etc. If your food is awful, you will get a negative review and a 1 star rating because you are a restaurant. You dont charge for ambiance and decoration, now do you? I will comment on what I came for, the food. Even the people we came with disliked the food very much so. People come to your dining establishment mainly for food and drinks right? I read through all your reviews and your replies. Why are all your replies so defensive? You seem to not take feedback well. Red flag for a business lol, learn to take constructive criticism better. I am allowed to feel and speak a certain way about your restaurant. No amount of service or ambiance can make up for the horrible food. If I could give less stars than 1 star, I would. Good luck and congrats on your 100s of real reviews. Had an amazing experience for my birthday (february) out with couples... food was awesome for every fish we ordered to share. Server was efficient and friendly, cracking jokes with us. She got the bartender take us special custom bartenders choice cocktails. The chef is to be commended for all the food, even made a custom dish for one of us that had huge craving for mussels. The guava bread pudding was my favorite dessert. Will definitely being going back soon.

Churrasco and Paella were excellent

The quality and flavour actually surprised me in a pleasant way. Over-exceeded my expectations! The chicken tacos & churrasco I d highly recommend. The restaurant is quite colourful and adds cheeriness. The only change I d ask for is pairing the pupusas with a traditional salsa roja instead of the sauce it currently comes with.

Tried Que Rico on a whim, as we were walking by. The restaurant and patio looked so cozy and inviting. Great vibe, and the pictures from El Convento Rico over the years added a great personal touch tying the restaurant to the neighborhood. It really is the daughterhouse! The menu looked delicious, and we tried a few different tapas. Enjoyed the ceviche, but the mussels were sandy and gritty and needed to be washed more. The octopus was ok, but portion could have been better. All still great value fir the price! Service was great overall. Mark took great care of us, and was friendly and cheerful.

Solid food, attentive service, and the AC was refreshing after a long humid walk outside. The restaurant inside also had really cute decor! The food met our expectations but did not exceed them. Tapas were on the pricier side but still filling (we went as a group of 6 and ordered 3 tapas and 1 Large platter). My personal favourites were the eggplant rolls and the empanadas. As an extra plus, our server was really accommodating. We asked for extra complimentary plantain chips + guac as well as extra dip for the calamari since we were a larger group. Overall, would recommend Que Rico, especially if you are going with a group of friends!

Sunny Friday, got convinced by their specials sign on the sidewalk. Did not expect a place so beautiful, service so mature and pleasing, food so flavourful and pretty. Oh yes, and drinks like we mean them.

Amazing tapas restaurant with superb service, excellent food, a lovely beautiful and beautiful inside. Went in the summer and was pleasantly greeted with guac/chips and margarita shots. From there until the end 10/10 experience from the excellent food, colourful cocktails and above and beyond service.

Absolutely poor food quality, felt like we were served yesterdays food. Food was also cold and not hot at all, only ate 3/4 of it left the rest. Washrooms are gender neutral so prepared to share with all peoples when going into the restroom. Place is very LGBTQ friendly and it shows with all the pictures on the wall. Servers took long with our food and service. Overall 1 star, will not be returning.

My friends and I hosted a party here over the weekend and our experience was fantastic! I initially set up the event with Danna who was very helpful throughout the whole process and working with her was very smooth. They had platters of food for the guests and everyone said that the food was amazing. I would highly recommend Que Rico for your next private event!

A beautiful restaurant. Service was a little slow, but I think they were understaffed the night we went like most other restaurants in the city. Food was good and portions HUGE. Maybe too big, but they were more than happy to box up what we did not eat. Floor shows on the weekends are fun. A welcome addition to Little Italy.

The place is amazing! We came with my gfd for her bday. The interior was amazing and so was the customer service from Carlos. The food was amazing especial tres leche desert. We really enjoyed our evening at Qué Rico. The servers were knowledgeable and friendly, the tapas were delectable. Our only regret is that we couldnt try everything on the menu because we filled up too quickly. Well need to come back!

Best Tapa bar in Toronto!

Came here with family and ordered many different plates. Everything was absolutely delicious. I keep thinking about the Ecuadorian fish soup! The service was also incredible, our server was attentive and patient. I was really proud to bring our out-of-town family here. We have no complaints, the food and service was top notch. What a wonderful addition to the neighbourhood. Would highly recommend.

Awful experience. The food may be good, but the service and management are 0/10. Literally 3 hours to have our plates and nobody at our table has been eating at the same time. The manager is stupidly looking at you saying sorry then he quietly explains you that he is not staffed enough in the kitchen but takes your reservation because it is good business WTH! They have screwed a birthday. Last but not least, looking at the overpriced bill for such a nightmare dinner we asked for a commercial gesture to the manager. Turned out the incompetent guy simply lost his temper and left us without any answer, sending back 15 minutes after his poor waitress with the « new » bill: he had offered us ONE glass on the whole dinner for 7 people ridiculous. I wanted so much to leave that I paid the ransom for peace. Note to the owner: you owe me 42 CAD and a good evening for my friend. Edit after reading the answer : only one person was late an we had to insist for our orders to be taken. I have not been offered any drink, this is a lie. Anyway, this is easy to see the review from the table next to us on the same evening to understand 1 person being late was not the problem

Very nice place! Staff are friendly and welcoming, food is very tasty (with good portion sizes) & the atmosphere is very lovely

A place to visit ONLY 1 TIME. 3 out of 5 employees were rude, demanding and lacking of customer service skills... The worse was the bartender that honestly acted very getto and vulgar. Food flavour is good but portions are very small, prices are just ok, if you order some Margaritas, dont expect any tequila in it although they are $15 each... If you complaint about it they will put in your drink only RUM... The place is not too big and they let in way more people than they are supposed to. We came to celebrate my friend birthday and put together a big group of 30 + people and each of us spent somewhere between $65 to $300...our group was there at 8:00 pm and we got our food served until 9:30 pm and some of us got it after 10:30 pm. If you really want to have a decent experience where you wont deal with rude employees STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE.
