I always love the vibe here. My kind of place. My favorite cocktail is their sangria!

Great menu, well cooked and presented food. Sports bar service, though. Had to wait to get seated, even though they werent busy, and was then rushed to choose my food. Prices suggest luxury, the setting in the Royal York suggests luxury, but, ultimately, it didnt deliver.

Special place, love the art ,the ambiance , our waiter was very knowledgeable and the food was excellent.

Me and my husband enjoyed a delightful breakfast that felt extra special for us. The food was great, and our server was attentive and warm, adding to the experience. We d love to come back!

Really wish we sat in the bar area. The tables in the dining area were not very nice. We had a great view of the hallway and a family dining with their loud 2 year old right beside the staff staging area. As for the food, it was very average. And the service was just one step above terrible. When we asked for the bill the server said, ok, no rush. Like??? What??? Had to flag him down again 10 min later. Really weird. One really expects more from a Fairmont.

Wow!! We visited here for Thanksgiving dinner. The dinner and dessert were divine and the service was impeccable. Elizabeth was our server and she was amazing. Very knowledgeable, and kind. We would 100% recommend.

Visited Reign for breakfast after a stay at the Fairmont. First thing we ordered were 2 lattes - $10 each. We were served machine made lattes, similar to what you would get from a basic office coffee machine. They tasted bad. For $10 I would expect an actual espresso-based latte made by a barista. Based on that first order we paid and left to have real breakfast elsewhere.

**Fruit Flies Ruined the Experience** I recently visited Reign at the Fairmont Royal York for their multi-course Sunday brunch, and the experience was disappointing. Service was inattentive we had to ask for a drink menu, and even then, no coffee was offered. When we finally ordered a bottle of wine, it arrived swarmed by fruit flies. The server noticed but only moved the bottle slightly farther away without addressing the issue, which was very disappointing. The food portions were generous, but the dishes themselves were underwhelming. We tried the burrata (with bread that was extremely hard and difficult to cut through), beef tartare, avocado toast, and short rib hash, which was rather bland. Cleanliness was also an issue, with crumbs and food remnants stuck between the bench upholstery. When we mentioned our concerns about the fruit flies to the server at the end of our meal, the response was indifferent, with a simple promise to look into it. Given the high price, I expected a much better experience. Unfortunately, it fell short in several areas.

The casual dinning bar is great. The ambience and the food are pretty good. Specially the Steak sandwich (we repeat it)!!

Atmosphere was amazing one of the best cafe I have seen however the rude waiter ruined the mood. Didnt expect this mediocre service from a high end cafe like this one

Dinner at Reign: Simply fantastic, best Cornish Hen Ive had Breakfast at Reign: More expensive than Id like, but very high quality Service: Overall great, but one server at breakfast was rather rude to me. I asked him if we can get our check and he just curtly says ask your server and walks off. K??? So go get our check yourself, or go find our actual server. Speaking of which our actual server was very polite. Not sure what this one clowns problem was. Ive worked in food service at Fairmont in Whistler before, I know rough days can happen; but its completely against how I was trained to represent the brand to be so short with a customer paying over $600 a night to stay in your hotel. Not pleased. Highlight: Our server John at dinner was EXCEPTIONAL and he deserves the highest praise. I gave him a 22% tip because of how good he was. If you read this John, keep up the amazing work! Overall Reign is really good, especially in food quality, if it werent for that one server at breakfast, Id have had no complaints.

Excellent dinner but once dessert was served, we were made to understand that we had to leave. Professional in catering in palaces and given the amount of the bill I find this kind of attitude unacceptable in this type of establishment.

We came here our last day and I got an unexpected call that my grandmother passed away. It was a horrible day to say the least but Ary (Arial) helped me get through it with a lot of laughs and exceptional service. This sweet man needs a raise because he kept us there for 5 hours. We had plans that day but because I wasn t in the right headspace after getting horrible news I stayed at Reign and he turned a horrific day into a good one with his sweet nature and charm. Thank you Ary xoxo! You ll never know what you did for me. Thank you. I Would highly recommend this hotel and the sweet staff at Reign.

We went to the Reign for breakfast and took the buffet. It was quite an experience. Eggs, which you can have as you like, including choice of Benedicts and omelets. Bacon, sausage, beans, potatoes, mushrooms. Bread, bagels, plenty of fruits, yogurt, smoothie shooters, waffles, cheeses and more. Quite impressive and tasty. Service was impeccable, atmosphere, decor, tableware are classy. Very recommendable.

Charging additional tips on top of those already included in the bill is quite unprofessional for a restaurant of this caliber. However, thats the reality were facing.

The only thing I truly enjoyed here was the atmosphere. As for food, I only tried the baked goods and cappuccino. They tasted pretty good but nothing special, although on the sweeter side. The staff were, unfortunately, very uncoordinated. They couldn t figure out between themselves if certain item are served, till what time, and at what parts of the restaurant. Waitress couldn t communicate well and would get frustrated about it too. She also seemed in a rush and couldn t place the table wear correctly or pour water without spilling. Unfortunately, she could not conduct herself in a way that s befitting the a restaurant in an upscale hotel. Not sure if this is the managements fault for separating the areas such that the staff only care about their own areas . Nevertheless, wasn t pleased with her service but the hostess and the barista seemed nice enough.

Very cool place for breakfast- Best avocado toast. Lots of different seating options from lounge for just coffee to proper dining. Excellent service.

High-end bar with unique ambiance. The history of the building is very interesting and the quality of service is very high. Delicious food and drinks, well worth the price.

Ordered a $60 steak, completely burned. Quite disappointed. It only came with two sauces and fries. It is worse that a fast food restaurant.

we went for dinner there during the long weekend, when most surrounding places were closed. Enjoyed our dinner a lot, delicious food and great service. Our server, Elizabeth, was very polite and attentive. Loved the dishware and ambiance. Quiet background music, only small parties (mostly couples) were there, easy to talk and relax. Highly recommend.

Mediocre (at best) breakfast, not even cheap fast food level for 50$? Guys, just call it as it is - fraud. Please avoid this place at all costs, do not (I repeat) do not ever attempt to have any breakfasts in there. Also waiters just ignore you. One star well deserved.

Food was very mid. Came for breakfast, you have the option for buffet or Ala cart. I got the smoked salmon benedict ala cart. Food came relatively fast. Server was very busy though, probably because they expect most to eat at the buffet. They do not have flavors for the lattes.

We were recently in Toronto staying at the gorgeous Fairmont Royal York and had the pleasure of stopping for a nightcap at the luxurious Reign Bar. There we met the amazing bartender ARI!!! We usually go here to meet friends and have a nice dinner. The atmosphere is great with the piano playing and the great service.

We had a lovely snack in between activities in Toronto, Marissa was our waitress and she exceeded expectations, she was so lovely and very prompt with everything we ordered! The snacks were great but she was truly wonderful!

Reign has a great atmosphere, amazing selection of wines and good food options. The oysters were fresh and delicious. Limited vegetarian options but that I can understand. Duck and steak was good. The coffee dessert was delicious.

I want to commend the exceptional service and attention to detail the staff have at Fairmont and Reign. From asking whether the ambiance of the room is to my preference, to addressing me by my name unprovided, to prompt service and friendly banter, this place truly made me feel exceptionally welcomed. A special shout out to my server Hebert who is friendly and attentive. I had the pleasure of staying here and having breakfast over two nights and the quality and service were consistent. I would gladly return again and try dinner. Of course, the food variety and quality is exceptional too. Thank you!

I come here quite often for the pancakes. Theyre the best in the city. The servers are very kind but are also pushy for you to order more food than you want and to order quickly. Its a very relaxing place to come and eat breakfast while reading the paper

Classy, elegant, with incredible service and beautifully prepared food and drink. Comfortable seating, lovely wines, perfectly shaken martini, well executed plates on pretty china.

The buffet is not that great in my opinion compared to other hotels but the food quality is consistent with the brand. The à la carte has sweet and salty and is not bad at all. The Benedict has a great poached egg and great smoked salmon. The avocado toast isn t my favorite as you don t get chunks of avocado. The bread pudding sweet breakfast was great. You can either eat at the buffet, eat a la carte or take the coffee and pastry to go in the area with a piano/bar. The service was pretty good, so I d give it another go for dinner, lunch or breakfast. Kid-friendliness: Kids menu available with a decent selection. Service is also very kid friendly.

Just had Easter dinner and it was fantastic! Our server Victoria was amazing, super friendly and customer service oriented. All of our dishes were delicious! Well be back!

We were absolutely blown away with Reign this evening. Joseph was our server and he delivered fabulous service. He was personable, kind and professional. The food was one of the best meals we ve ever had. We had four guests at our table. We had the Beef Tartare and it was the best I have ever had. Two members of our group had never had it before and they loved it. Two of us ordered the duck; which was cooked to absolute perfection and the blend of pears and Saskatoon berry was phenomenal. The others had the steak and the Hen and they had nothing but amazing things to say. The side dishes were delicious and the servings were plentiful. We also ordered several drinks and they were delicious and well worth the purchase price. Hands down one of the best meals we have ever had! Thank you so much to Joseph and REIGN. We will return the next time we stay at the Fairmont

We had a wonderful meal together, and everything was perfect . This was our first time trying them out, and it was worth it. I love Royal York, and what a great addition to it. Well be back, and thanks for the experience. Id highly recommend trying them out.

Had the seabass and brussel sprouts, ended up being more than I could finish but good was top notch. Made a reservation advance that was smooth and acknowledged by my name, by the server. Only thing I didn t appreciate was the rude look he gave me at the end of the meal, made me a little self conscious but his service was great and still tipped 25% as deserved. Cheers.

Incredible room, such great ambiance. Fantastic place to go on date night if you want something quiet, flavourful and to be treated very well. Weve been there twice and both times our servers were excellent... the first time with Muhammed and the second time with Ava. Maybe the best duck Ive ever had and the Cornish hen is awesome too. We cant wait to go back.

My wife and I celebrated our anniversary at REIGN this past Friday and it was simply amazing! Ava, our waitress, made the evening extra special with her kindness and attentive service. The food was exquisite, and the atmosphere was perfect for a romantic evening. We can t thank the staff enough for making our anniversary dinner so memorable. Highly recommended!

The whole family enjoyed the experience. From the starters to desserts it was the best we had. Our server Joseph was very attentive to our needs. We will definitely go back again.

It s not easy to find good game meat options these days. Luckily, I tried the venison, which is new on the menu. It was cooked to perfection, medium rare spot on. I really enjoyed the beets and blackberries with it. Portion size, particularly with the sides, was slightly lacking. Overall on the price point was slightly steep but this is one of my favourite spots in the core and I keep coming back. IG: Mansafx

Was staying at the hotel however had an absolutely horrible experience at Reign! Waiter did not seem to be bothered to listen at all! He walked away as I ordered every time then asked what was it that I needed when he returned after missing things I asked for. My bill was over $450 as we ordered multiple drinks, bottles and some bites that afternoon therefore that should have shown something even though I believe all tables should be treated the same no matter how much they order!

My daughter had her birthday here with a group of her friends. Everything was lovely and the staff were very attention. Got the private room with your round table, made it easier for conversations to flow. I recommend the private rooms for events

What a great restaurant to bring a loved one or a first date. The service is impeccable, and the atmosphere is truly breathtaking. We had the Lobster linguine and 8oz tenderloin steak with hand cut fries. Everything came out spectacular. Compliments to the chef.

Whether you re staying at the Fairmont Royal York Hotel or just coming over for a meal; you can be sure not to be disappointed. We stayed at this beautiful hotel for a few days leading up to Christmas day. During our stay, we enjoyed breakfast in the Reign restaurant and room service for dinner. The Reign restaurant is very pretty. The tables are a little close together in some parts of the restaurant but the ambiance somehow still feels cozy. The wait staff is very attentive and quick to come to the table if you look like you might need something. For breakfast we tried the Avocado Toast and the Oatmeal. The Avocado Toast was gorgeous and delicious. We even shared it on one occasion. Sadly, we had some technical difficulties with the Oatmeal. We each ordered it one of the morning and were pleased to see it was a pretty large serving. The issue was with the temperature - it was less than lukewarm at best, even borderline cold. When we let our waiter know, he quickly apologized and took it back to the kitchen. He came back a few minutes later with a slightly (barely) warmer plate oh well. We picked at it so not to waste it but it was not as we expected. Room service was great both times! It was quickly brought up to our room and the food was well covered for its travel! We tried the wings (crazy good), the pizza (surprisingly large), the Fish and Chips (good portion), the Steak dinner (beautiful), and a their take on a Turkey dinner (very nice). The culinary experience was awesome and memorable but definitely not cheap!!!

My husband and I went for buffet breakfast at Reign during our staycation at the hotel and it was truly the highlight of our stay at the property! The spread was extensive and the restaurant itself is beautifully done which makes for a perfect date spot. The service was impeccable and food was prepared fresh and served hot. I m still dreaming of the perfectly sliced oranges that I couldn t stop eating and the crunchy on the outside but soft on the inside waffle! Everything was prepared to perfection! The cheese board spread for breakfast was a pleasant surprise! :) Definitely worth the price. Highly recommend it!

We booked lunch for Winterlious and went there on a Sunday, they informed us there is no Winterlious on weekends. All they have is $75 brunch buffet. This was NOT indicated anywheres on Winterlious booking. Not the great experience at all. The brunch was ok nothing special. The price and giving variety were reasonable.

I was just here for the winterlicous and I was impressed. The food was excellent, I loved the drink menu. Not to the mention the excellent services and the knowledge of the staff. Also, this place is big, you have lots of room.

Went here for my birthday! Nice atmosphere and upscale restaurant. My wifes meal was excellent. The trout was cooked perfectly and all the elements were delightful. I ordered my steak medium well and it came out medium rare which was quite unfortunate. The desserts were excellent.

This space had a live pianist and then low lighting as it became evening. This small intimate space in the Fairmont Royal York was the perfect place start our weekend. The chefs Choice Charcuterie board, Rose Heart dessert and ice wine really made for a cherished evening out. Also loved chatting with our server Besy, her service was great.

The service at Reign is just exceptional! Victoria was so wonderful and her whole team. Kudos to them for making our night special. We started with the burrata which was creamy and soft. We both got the duck for our entrees, it was accompanied by parsnips and poached pears which was delightfully bright and sweet against the savory duck - a fabulous dish! We ended the meal with a chocolate cake with bourbon ice cream (yum!) and a deconstructed tiramisu with espresso added table side. The atmosphere was dimly lit and calm. A perfect spot for a romantic meal.

Came here for a Valentine s Day dinner and everything was amazing! The food was delicious- we got the burrata, lobster linguine and salmon. Our server Ava was super friendly and provided excellent service. She even surprised us with a heart shaped dessert- we really appreciated that. Would definitely recommend dining here!

The food is very well presented with local and organic products, they take great care of all the details. All very delicious!

We celebrated Valentines evening there. The service was rather slow. I would rate it overpriced for the quality they actually offer. I chose the seabass as my entree, and the flavor was frankly disappointing. I was not impressed by the presentation either. The filet was tender but very salty. If it wasnt for the atmosphere and location, I would rate it as a mediocre dining experience at best. A la carte might be different, but they couldve done way better with the preset menu.

From the moment we arrived for our Valentines Day dinner, this restaurant exceeded all expectations. Opting for the pre-set menu with wine pairing, every dish presented was an absolute delight, perfectly complemented by the exquisite selection of wines. Our early arrival allowed us the pleasure of starting at the bar, where we were greeted with warm, perfectly seasoned olives that set a high bar for the evening. The cocktails were another highlight, with an espresso martini and French 75 that were both masterfully crafted, not only in taste but also in presentation. Its rare to find a place that excels equally in its offerings at the bar as it does in its full dining experience, but this restaurant manages just that. Whether youre popping in for a drink or settling in for a complete meal, youre in for a treat. The ambiance, service, and attention to detail were all impeccable, contributing to an unforgettable evening. Were already looking forward to our next visit. This restaurant is a gem that I cant recommend enough.

Incredible experience! We go out every December 23rd to celebrate together before celebrating with our families over the holidays. We stayed at the Fairmont Royal York and there was no need to go any further than the hotel as the restaurant is right inside the lobby. The food was out of this world but the service was at an unreachable level. Victoria took care of us and had us returning to our room filled with laughter and of course full bellies. She was spectacular and anyone would be lucky to be served by her. Cannot wait to return to Reign.

We loved the fact that there is a good selection of non-alcoholic beverages Amy is a STAR and her smile and service to our table was phenomenal. This is one of the best restaurant I can come for breakfast !!

Visited for dinner last night and the beautiful Christmas decorations lit up the hotel lobby and restaurant. Very picturesque! The service was attentive and fast. Tried the duck breast for $39 and the lobster linguine for $62. The duck breast was extremely tasty and tender, medium done. Worth every penny. The lobster linguine however, though it tasted very good, was short on lobster and higher on linguine. Not worth the $62 price tag. The ambience is perfect for a couple on a date. Worth another try in the future I suppose.

First, Kudos to the Chefs for the greatest food in town, including taste and food decoration. My complaint is about the service providers; I stayed at Royal York for 3 nights to treat myself after a challenging year, I chose this hotel to relax, get the best food, and get treated well. I asked at night about when the brunch buffet is, and I was told it is 11:30 - 2 pm. I came to the Reign restaurant on Monday, Dec 25, 2023, at 1:30 pm. for the brunch buffet. There were three female receptionists at the door, and one of them told me that the restaurant is full. I told her that I am staying at the hotel and I am only looking for a place for one person, is there any chance for that? She frowned at me and looked to the other side, giving me her shoulder back and saying in a passive way: no. The other receptionist was standing very closely to the first one, so instead of talking to me, she asked her colleague about me saying: What does she want? Her colleague said : she wants to get in. The second colleague gave me her shoulder side immediately as well, completely ignoring my presence and humiliating me. I felt like they treated me as a beggar, not as a respected client of Royal York who is paying plenty of money for one of the best restaurants in town. Then I asked the first receptionist if I may stay in the lobby and if she can let me know if anyone leaves their table so I can get in, she answered angrily: no, no one will leave before 2 pm!!! Like, really!!!! How did she know that no one is leaving before 2 pm!! Is this a professional way of treating your clients who are also staying at the hotel!!! I was extremely shocked, and I have not planned to eat anywhere other than at Reign! I had to leave the place and run in the cold weather looking for other hotels who have brunch/lunch and a good service! I ended up eating at Delta hotel who had a wonderful service, but I started to get cold and sick because of the ill treatment at Reign which really impacted my well being and ruined my experience at Royal York. The next day, Tuesday, Dec 26, 2023, I invited a guest to have breakfast with me at the Reign breakfast buffet, we arrived at about 10:10; the same receptionists were there, they were very passive and unwelcoming but they let me and my guest in, the receptionist wanted to seat me at a certain table, and I asked her if I can have another one pointing at the one I wanted, she showed angry facial expressions, saying yes, with an unpleasant way, I felt too embarrassed in front of my guest, and I told my guest that this is not the first way these receptionists treat me with disrespect and with passive aggressive behavior. I felt totally intimidated, and I see the receptionists behaviors as pure racism because I am a visible minority person, and I was the only brown woman. Why would I pay and treat myself at Christmas time when I am getting this extremely shocking, unfriendly treatment from 3 staff and for two days!! The unprofessionality and discrimination from the staff made the experience too intimidating and unpleasant. Before leaving, I asked the receptionist about her colleagues name, to know the name of the receptionist who seated me angrily and who frowned at me the day before, and she said: Julia. I did not have a chance to double-check the name as I had to run to the train. I tried to reach out to Regins manager through email to file this complaint in writing, but I have not heard back after emailing the restaurants main email asking for the managers email for complaints purposes. I truly wish that you investigate this incident as it caused severe emotional harm, where I was planning to pay for a good service and a good treatment! I trust that the restaurant management will do justice to me, and I am looking forward to a response. Thanks

I just wanted to share my amazing experience with Reigns Christmas Dinner to Go. Over the years, we normally go downtown for a nice traditional Christmas sit-down dinner. However, over the years, more and more have shifted to making pre-made, packaged dinners you could pickup and enjoy at home. So this was our first time trying this. For the meal, we ordered the Small (and yes I do use the quotes intentionally) Turkey Dinner for 4. The bird was enormous and SO juicy. We picked up at around 3pm and had our dinner a few hours later. The fixings were delicious (2 sides, fresh buns, a soup, stuffing, amazing gravy, cranberry sauce and even a pumpkin pie). We decked out our dining room and sat down for the meal of our lives. I included a photo of the turkey just to show the size and to prove that we have had leftovers for days and even made both the bones into Turkey soup stock and used the meat for a variety of other dishes in the days after. But what I really want to rave about as well was how organized their pick-up system is. I know that some places do deliver (for a fee) and I was wary about coming into downtown to pick it up. The day before I got a very friendly call and a special order number I was told to mention when I arrived in the street behind the Fairmont. When I got there, I found a little tent with a lady with a clipboard and a radio. She called my order in and before I could get out of my car to chat with her (assuming there would be a wait) a chef was standing at the back of my SUV asking where hed like me to put the large box he was carrying. I was in and out of downtown (coming from Mississauga) in about 30 mins. They were so efficient and professional. I was absolutely blown away. They run a tight ship and there was no waiting around. Finally, as for my choosing of Reign itself. I chose from about 12 options I could see online) and the prices did range. So I knocked out the cheapest and the most expensive and honestly, the Fairmont/Reign came in right around the middle of the pack. For the most part, the offerings were very similar. Unless there was something VERY specific you wanted as a side, then it might narrow down your choices. But all to say, I could not have been more pleased to have gone with Reigns Festive-to-Go pre-made meal. We all loved the food and heating it up a little bit, was easy as could be. The kit itself is extremely well packed and all the containers are well labelled and even come with reheating instructions. I will definitely be trying this again with Reign and just wanted to offer our thanks and gratitude to the team there for an amazing Christmas meal. Highly recommend. You wont be disappointed.

This restaurant is amazing, I ordered a cesar salad and with a cheeseburger and fries and they were delicious. For the Fairmont Hotel, I d recommend this restaurants one of their best.

Pre-dinner oysters and awesome handcrafted signature Estate Old Fashioned. Bar staff was attentive but not intrusive. Skilled and conscientious pours. Pricey drink but if you want to drink art... :)

Food is good. OJ is good. Got muffin to go twice over three days, both times wrong. I get there are like fourcustomers but come on. Check your food before leaving folks.

We went there for the New Year s dinner special menu. The whole experience was underwhelming and not very enjoyable. We where placed in a private room with minimal decorations and no music. The table wasn t properly cleaned and smelled like wet rug. We came there about 9:30 pm but we only started getting our food at around 11:00 pm and we only got our main dish after midnight! Portions were inconsistent and in terms of flavour nothing special. Steak was burnt. We felt rushed to finish our food since around 1am restaurant was already empty and staff were grabbing plates that we didn t finish, and didn t even offer to pack it to go. And to finish it off, one of our friends had serious stomach ache less than an hour after we finished. The only positive thing I can say is that our waitress was amazing and very attentive.

Fabulous!! This has to be the best ambience for a restaurant I ve ever been to. Lighting, decorations, and furnishings make you feel like royalty. Food was great and I was very impressed. I ve eaten at many restaurants with similar if not more expensive prices and felt like this was a much better experience than the rest.

I rated the service low, but this is not to do with the server necessarily. Everything was just executed so slowly, and because the rooms were so partitioned (not a bad thing if you want privacy, but certainly not great if youre trying to wave someone down), we felt we couldnt get our server when we needed him. Drink orders were taken, and it was some while before it was delivered. And without bread, which was only provided when we received our appetizers, and of course, in between, we couldnt find the server. So we were quite starving when our main dinner finally came close to 830, for a 7pm reservation. The food was very good, as were the cocktails. The server was pleasant, but for the Royal York, perhaps my expectations were a bit higher. I might come here again for drinks, as the bar really looked happening, but I wouldnt recommend someone to come here for dinner unless they were staying in the hotel. The delays were just too long.

The decoration and atmosphere are very good. Food is delicious too, but the service is very average.

Great location. However recently the service has declined. During my most recent visit server was so rushed he miss the last part of my order each time. They seemed to be overwhelmed. The staff either made a mistake or were noticeably slow.

Food is average at best and overpriced for the taste. Dessert was good. Tried their winterlicious menu, got smoked trout as an apetizer, 8oz striploin steak, chocolate brulee and coffee crisp. The highlight of entire thing was the desserts. It wasnt bad but it was very underwhelming. Steak was not cooked to the doness we ordered. Seasoning and the sauce was good. The striploin itself was quite tough. The smoked trout was good but the bread that comes with it was so thin that it breaks once you load the trout on top of the bread, which makes it a little difficult to eat. I guess you are really paying to experience the hotel and the vibes.

The food, drinks, ans service were all exquisite! I had the Tartare, Halibut, and Coffee Crisp, and I would highly recommend all three!

My waiter explained the food wrongly and we had re-order food three times also we had to wait like 40 minutes for our food and if that wasn t enough there was black stuff(looking like mold)in the water jug that they gave us. Went here for dinner. Loved the ambiance and the service. The mushroom bisque was okayish, a little too thick and lacked flavour. The salmon and the steak were divine. The dessert was nice but very rich. More than the food, the atmosphere was very pleasant and nice.

Got in late to Toronto and this restaurant was in the hotel. Let me say I was blown away at the quality of the food. That steak tar tar was legit!!! The best I ve had, my new fav! Then I had the duck breast for dinner. BAM! Another home-run! Perfectly cooked, flavors were out of this world! The broccolini WOW, I ve never had it taste that good. I wanted more! The service was game on. I sat at the bar to eat and they made every effort to accommodate making suggestions etc. Love this place! Will I go back? Every night I m in town!

Not enjoyable. I passed by this restaurant in December and wished to have an experience until Winterlious. I was so happy to make a reservation and asked for the corkage. Was told that it was 45. I also confirmed again before the visit. We decanted the wine right before the dinner and were told that it cannot be served. The manager only made a few apologies without providing any alternatives or complementaries. I was truly expecting more for a restaurant in Fairmont. The table was also very small making it hard to dine. We requested for a large table but were refused due to a reservation that didnt show up. Coat check was also bad as my girlfriends coat was touching the floor. In terms of food, its only so-so. The striploin is a bit dry. No surprise for the appetizers as well. The desert was good tho. Just a note, we are not lefties but dessert forks were placed on our left....... I do not recommend this place.

A gorgeous setting with clever riffs off classic menu items, mostly continental. A bit expensive, and the service borders on the obsequious (they ask my first name and called me Mister that), but you know where you are, it s the Fairmont. This would be a great place for anniversary dinners if you can snag one of the picturesque seats. If you want to avoid people come early.

Overall experience was good. The location has a great luxury vibe. Pianist in the background is certainly relaxing. I had a cheese burger. The burger tasted really good but the fries was a bit to greasy. The server was very kind and helpful. I will certainly come back.

Swanky resto-bar. Excellent service! We ordered the charcuterie board, chicken (tasty!) and ponme frites with garlic alioli. Only got a photo of my Blood Brothers Inner Eye pale ale.

We absolutely love it here

One of the absolute best places to escape the hustle & bustle in the middle of the day. Excellent for business lunches, but also great for solo dining (i.e.: quiet enough to read a book with your meal). Service is friendly and professional, the ambience is peaceful, and the food is a definite 10/10. Of course, evening is great, too. I just happen to like how it feels upon entering during a busy day; like escaping to another (cam & quiet) dimension. These fine folks really know the hospitality business. I definitely recommend. Dietary restrictions: On one visit, my guest had specific dietary needs which were met with ease.

Food for a King service for a Queen atmosphere of royalty. Great meal selection and wine unlike most. Cost about 1/4 ounce of gold for two with caliber wine.

Incredibly underwhelmed by the quality of the food, in respect of the price. We went there for the breakfast and ordered two Eggs Benedict. The muffin didnt looked and tasted fresh, and the eggs (so, you know, the main part of this dish) were... hard-boiled, for both order. With a total bill of CAN 90 (including two coffees, a small juice and tips), this is too overpriced to miss at this point a dish. At least the space is really beautiful, the service was OK (not exceptional either) but still doesnt excuse that price.

Gorgeous Restaurant! We absolutely LOVE the menu here! Weve come to dine here 3 times now and each visit has been an absolute treat! The servers are so friendly and so attentive. It really helps that they know the menu very well! Our absolute favourite steak here is the Ribeye and the sauce on the scallop or lobster chitarra pasta is swoon worthy! Youll need the extra bread to clean the bowl with it. The starters weve enjoyed are the steak tartare and Foie Gras as well. Everything is tasty! Our newest menu try was the Miso Cod and our taste buds were thrilled! Dont miss out on their desserts too! Make sure you try them!

Made a last minute reservation here last night and everything exceeded expectations! Server was friendly and helpful in choosing a bottle of wine. When I asked for food recommendations she suggested the filet because the guy on the grill was the best. I ll confirm it was the best filet I ve ever had and I m a steak lover. Crispy on the outside, butter in the center, cooked perfect med rare, tons of flavor and juice! Paired it with rapini and fingerling potatoes. So good!! Thank you for an amazing night!

Jen was the perfect host, very thoughtful and never overbearing. Had a great time, the ambiance is chill/classy, music is at the perfect volume, the dimmed lights really made for a nice setting. Food came fast, fresh, hot and incredibly tasty. Had the rhubarb dessert (summerlicious), and its a must try. Explosion of sensations in your mouth. Would defo come back again outside of summerlicious.

Incredible. Well worth the prices. We were stranded in Toronto for Christmas Eve and stayed at the Royal York. We were able to get a table at reign and enjoyed one of the best meals we ve ever had despite the difficult circumstances and last minute notice the night before Christmas! The bone in rib-eye was easily in the top 3 steaks I ve ever had, and I couldn t fault anything about our meal or service. They genuinely went a long way to saving our Christmas and the atmosphere and consistency of quality even on Christmas Eve was seriously impressive. Book a table now, you won t regret it.

The atmosphere is great, however the food and service was very underwhelming. Our party of four had, the risotto, lobster linguine, chicken supreme and ceasar salad. By far, the best dish was the ceasar salad. All other dishes were average at best. For the price, there are several better options with much better service and better quality food. Would not recommend.

the breakfast/lunch is below expectations. omlette was made like a crepe..then veggies and cheese added after..so it wasnt incorporated into the omlette. the quality of the veggies wasnt great and felt like all you can eat.

Our server was Joseph, he was outstandingly good and professional. He was in charge for almost 10 tables with lots of guests, which makes him super busy. Tables were crowded, within an arm length to steal others food. Food, was fair given this price range. It was not a bad experience, but not looking to re-visit. I expect more

We were a party of 12 on 27 August and my entree was cold and returned the Duck breast to the kitchen. A real disappointment for a restaurant of this caliber. I requested a hot replacement but they just heated the cold plate, put some sauce on the plate and served me. I spoke to Franklin Rodriguez Lucumi about the situation and he was sympathetic but no compensation for the food was given saying that they had given us all a free after dinner drink and provided a small birthday desert. Not really a good experience for me and not happy to have had such a bad meal Giovanni Cantarella

Beautiful restaurant, calm and cozy. Everyone was very professional but nice and welcoming at the same time. Our food was topnotch (burrata, salmon and lobster linguinne). Very nice wine too. Not overly expensive when you consider the quality, location, the fact that its quiet and that you can actually have a conversation whilst enjoying a great meal. Highly recommended !

Ate here for dinner last night with a group of friends. We ordered charcuterie boards, foie gras, beef tartar, salmon, lots of good wine, a strawberry dessert that also had a scoop of sorbet on top. Everything was very good and the service was top notch! The location is very convenient as its right across from the Go Station and near the highway. The ambiance is very nice, we had a table in a more private area, until more people arrived but it was still nice. We will be back for sure! They also offer valet parking for around $40 I think, should be included with dinner IMO.

If you need to chill out in a calm place after a long day it s the place! Honestly the worst breakfast I ve ever had and at a ridiculous price range considering the quality. Portion size is quite small, eggs Benedict was badly over cooked, the hollandaise was absolutely horrible and the farmers breakfast was all around bad with very small portion size

An excellent fine dining experience complete with a great atmosphere and a delectable menu. My wife and I celebrate and dinner and the service was fantastic. They were able to accommodate her vegetarian needs. Vegetarian options: The chef was helpful in making a vegetarian pasta.

I sat for about 30 minutes before anyone approached or helped me. However after a waiter discovered my existence, the service was excellent. It is VERY dark in here, I had to hold the table light to the pages of the menu to even read my options. The charcuterie board was fine, nothing to write home about. The venison however was so yummy and paired really well with the carrot butter and demi glace. Highly recommend that dish.

This was an exceptional experience. The food was delicious as we explored some options that we wouldnt normally try. All staff we encountered were pleasant and kind but the stand out was our server, Mohammed (sorry if I am misspelling it). He was, quite possibly, one of the best servers I have ever had. He was attentive and interactive. I went there with my wife spontaneously for our anniversary and he made it a very special experience for us. My only regret was feeling we didnt tip him enough. I would go back there and ask to be seated in his section again.

Came here for Thanksgiving dinner with the in-laws as they had a special menu for the occasion. Got our socks blown off. First the turkey: very tender and delicious. So tender it didnt even feel like turkey! I like how they fried the Brussels sprouts, which sat on top of a little mash that sat on top of a rolled up trimmings roll, which was presented a little bit like a small meat loaf. It was just so neatly done! Would love to come back and try out their regular menu too in the future.

I ve been here two times. Always with my family (8 and 10 year old daughters). It s cozy, elegant, dark. The service is great. Sal deserves a special mention. A superb guy who really made my youngest daughters birthday special.

Had a company dinner at Reign and the experience was great. Waitress and manager provided friendly service constantly checking in on the group. I ordered the vegetarian risotto which was very filling and tasty. For dessert I got the chocolate cake was delicious. Presentation was beautiful. Recommend for a night or an event.

the attendant called kayrul is extremely rude and rude. The place seems to have potential and is in the Fairmont Hotel, but this terrible professional tarnishes the image of both places by being so unprepared to deal with the public. When someone is traveling, wakes up early and goes to have breakfast at a hotel, what they expect is to be treated with respect. Kayrul came to my table 5 times harassing me in a rude and rude manner. I dont recommend this place to anyone, because if the service is bad at breakfast, imagine lunch or dinner. The other professionals are excellent, but due to Kayruls terrible service, I dont recommend them to anyone.

Our waiter Mohamed refused to bring us bread unless we ordered dinner. I don t think we ve ever felt so humiliated. Being rushed to place a dinner order or we wouldn t get bread. Service was abrupt and rude and given the price tag, shocking in every way. Embarrassing for the Royal York. Up your staff game.

First time dining here. Had a fantastic time. Everything was top notch. Brilliant service, lovely ambience, excellent food. Lovely cocktails - best martini I have had for years. Chefs small selection was a perfect charcuterie and cheese. Wife loved her seabass meuniere as I did my venison tenderloin. Baked Alaska was sensational. Server was great with advising on a wine selection as I went down a giant rabbit hole - huge and compelling list that is easy to get lost in. 10/10 and would definitely come back - again and again and again. Thank you everyone for making our night so special.

Hands-down, my favourite restaurant in Toronto. Mohammed is an excellent waiter, all of the staff is extremely attentive. The food quality is beyond reproach. The endive salad and Cote d Or salmon are my favourite dishes.

Had an excellent family dinner here. All of the food was delicious and beautifully presented. The lobster pasta was buttery with lots of lobster in it- the best I ve ever had for sure. It s not the most creative menu but it s just classic flavors really well executed.
