Salon Private Dining in Toronto

It's Alo restaurant. The wait staff were so attentive and pleasant here. The venue is beautiful. A must.

Fantastic is a understatement. The service is extremely professional, the cleanliness is unparalleled, its a humble but classy decor and the fixed meals will have something for everyone to love. While I'm sure the menu changes, the king oyster mushrooms were a show stopper paired with the beef tenderloin. I would order those mushrooms by themselves as they would pair with any protein! The two gentlemen running front of house and bar were very personable and especially the fella running the bar with the beard and notable mustache was a joy-- quick witted, recommended excellent drinks, our group were big fans. I'm ashamed I did not catch their names. You can see the kitchen team preparing your meals from behind a metal grate in a tiny 3 person prep area behind the bar, which I like and hate-- but it adds to the unique environment and makes the space feel larger. If you have the opportunity to experience Alo Salon, I'd highly recommend it and it was very intimate feeling for a small-medium group (we only had around 15 people, they state they can support up to 34). Hats off to the front of house, the kitchen team, everything was an exceptional experience!

We really didn't want to plan a big wedding and just get our immediate families and a few friends together to share a delicious meal. We couldn't have been happier with Alo Salon. The food was incredible (we did five courses with wine pairing). The adults sat at the main table and we had the kids in a booth (there was a kids menu as well). We started with canapés and cocktails (out of this world) until the officiant came in to marry us before the sit down dinner. The pace of the dinner was on the mark, allowing everyone to move around and socialize between courses. Lyvia was very helpful and responsive in planning the event and Will presented the food and wine beautifully. Location was great: you could see the crowds pass by on the pedestrian walkway from one side of the table and from the other, you could watch the bustling kitchen while each course was being prepared. The florist they provided was A +++. A truly magical evening

Impeccable in every way. The Alo Salon team catered 2 private events in our home in the past few months - my son's 1st birthday and a business dinner with 30 guests. The food was incredible (of course!), the team is gracious and highly professional and the service, outstanding. The high-calibre of the Alo experience you expect in the restaurant is perfectly executed with their private dining experience. Salon is a great option for food and wine at the heart of Yorkville. It's open for lunch, dinner and private dining as well. We enjoyed the hamachi sashimi, veal sweetbreads and various mini cake cakes from the dessert cart. Highly recommended.
