Cozy place, diner style, good to drop in and have an unpretentious diner kitchen style bite to eat. The decor still feels like it hasnt been updated for half a decade. Love it

I love this place. My fave in Parkdale.

Food is good, but would be nice if the servers did a last call for food before the kitchen closes at 3. Maybe at 2:45? Wanted to order more food, and without knowing, the kitchen was closed until 5. Also servers need to be more attentive to their tables. The server disappeared after dropping the food. Then reappeared after 3, and when trying to order more food, told me the kitchen closed 20 minutes ago.

This is my fave diner in Toronto. The food is fantastic. The Skyline club is the best chicken salad in the city. The niçoise salad is also fantastic. But really never had a bad thing there. Food was good and the service was great; some in my party thought that the atmosphere was loud, but I enjoyed it - just people enjoying their food and good company! Views were pretty spectacular as well

The staff here are always very kind, easygoing and efficient, the service has been great every time I visit, the food on the other hand is pretty forgettable and on the bland side, reasonable pricing.

Eaten here around 5 times, each time got progressively worst, wasn t gonna leave a review but I noticed many others with similar experiences leaving reviews about the not great service they received. Food is a bit overpriced but it s Parkdale and it takes money to run a business, I wouldn t mind paying the prices if the servers and staff didn t act as stuck up, ignoring customers, slow, rude, having an attitude etc, I brought my brother here when he was in town and felt odd about the service we received, thought maybe it was a race thing since we noticed white folk around us being treated with more respect and a kinder tone than we were, anyways the pies are good but 10$ for a slice with tax is kinda of insane, the rest of the food is either a hit or miss,

A great place if you want to be around white, rich hipsters and not get any service or manners from staff if you arent white and rich and hipster. Pretty unfortunately because they have good diner type food and it looks really cool inside. But its not worth it considering the owners and staff in general. Im not sure if this review and a few others having said similar things as me will inspire them to change but heres hoping.

Cozy place for comfort food and good cocktails.

After enjoying many breakfast experiences here we hit a dud last night. The Beef Jerk Wrap was a big disappointment, tough and very weak on the jerk . The waiter apologized and said he would tell the kitchen. That s it? We won t go again for dinner.

I just love an old-style diner. Its a little dark, and the tables and chairs are a bit tired - but its a great diner. We love to come here for breakfast/brunch. Please dont ever change.

So, stumbled upon this adorable diner while hunting for a solid brekkie and a killer cup o joe. Let me tell ya, it was a total gem! The place looked like it was straight outta a time machine, which just added to its cool factor.Now, it was packed - apparently, Sundays are always a madhouse here. But hey, we snagged seats at the counter, giving our meal a vintage vibe. They had to start a waitlist, but no biggie, everyone got sorted pretty quick.The staff? Absolute pros. They were hustling like crazy, but man, they had it down. We both tucked into the classic breakfast, and damn, it hit the spot! And the coffee? Fresh pots brewing non-stop.So, despite the hustle and bustle, this joint gets a big thumbs up from us. You gotta swing by and check it out for yourself. Even with the chaos, wed be back in a heartbeat

Friendly, homely comfort food. Good vibes and affordable. The place itself has a fusion diner and Speakeasy look with a vue on the kitchen. We recommend if youre just passing by or from the neighborhood. The club sandwich had white or brown option, fries fantastic, crunchy and tasty. Thank you! It was so good the photo came after.

The old guy with the gray hair was super creepy

If you are interested in attitude with your dinner and drinks you will not be let down here time and time again. It truly sucks it is the only place to get a beer and mediocre food (way over priced) in the walkable area. Oh and no worries no diversity here - just rich white kids...

Great little place, dinner style. Tried their breakfast burger and my friend had their chicken club, both were great and generous quantity. Happy to have places like this this around where you dont have to sell your arm to go out and enjoy life.

The staff are amazing! They have a good selections of drinks and ofcourse they served food as well and it s great options.

I eat here enough to know their food is consistently good which is important to me because its not an inexpensive diner by any means....oh, and the frozen crinkle fries get me every time. I maybe understand the quirkiness of it but not for this price range. Get the yummy side salad until they hopefully start peeling their own potatoes. Staff is down to earth and get the job done which I appreciate. Great vibes from open to close and you can sit at the front solo w/out feeling awkward which isnt always easy to find.

Best Vibe in the City ..

Disgusting service and discussion. We sat waiting for the waiter for 15 minutes and when we finally managed to attract the waiters attention, he just waved us off and moved on. The waiter spoke to us arrogantly and disdainfully. Plus, the dishes were served for a long time and the burgers were absolutely mediocre. I do not recommend this place.

Classic diner atmosphere, had the onion rings not a large portion but were delicious...

The French toast portion was literally two pieces, seemed like a portion for a kids meal. They also served McCain fries. I feel I couldve made a better breakfast at home.

Skyline is a modest and charming diner in the heart of Parkdale. We waited ~15 minutes for a table and were greeted by friendly staff. I chose an item from their chalkboard specials and had a turkey brioche sandwich with maple tahini + a side of crinkle cut fries. It really hit the spot in the middle of a long holiday shopping day. The atmosphere was warm, lived-in, and nostalgic. Very much one of those restaurants you can sit and chat to someone for hours unperturbed. Will be back again soon!

I ordered the burger and it was by far the worst and smallest Burger I have ever had I rather go to McDonalds and the price was ridiculous I dont know how they feel comfortable selling such a small tasteless Burger the bun is 10 times bigger than the Patty they should be ashamed

I came here for the first time today. Really like the old style feel of this and similar type diners. There was a decent crowd but it was easy to get a seat. I had a BLT sandwich and fries. Food quality, prices and portions were good. The interior of the store looks very cozy and welcoming!

A Parkdale institution, always a good time. Skyline is one of the best diners in the city. Their booths, wood decor, and dim lighting set the tone nicely, and their food is simple and well-executed.

Great nostalgic diner.

This is our most consistent night out spot in the area. Everything on the menu is delicious. I m a huge fan of the Kung Pao Brussel sprouts and the patty melt, but the daily specials are always a hit too.

My favourite diner in Toronto. Very family oriented and they try their best to make everyone happy. Food is home made and even if it takes a little longer (because of being so busy), the food is always worth the wait. Their burger and steak are easy go-to meals when I visit. Kid-friendliness: Our kids love this place mostly for the milk shakes.

Private Function - Food and staff were amazing, started off with charcuterie plate, then sliders, chicken skewers, and amazing fried chicken, drinks were amazing as well...It is an old school diner, but worth checking out next time you are in the area. Parking: You can easily find free parking on side streets or Green P parking..

For a diner, this place exceeded my expectations! Food is always consistent and service is standard but nothing wrong either. Definitely can see why this is a neighborhood favorite, and pricing is very reasonable, not sure what the others are saying in the reviews. Well be back!

Cozy, romantic retro diner atmosphere. Super-friendly and attentive staff. Good comfort food, particularly the meatloaf. The Hulagaloons on Wednesday add a sweet romantic Hawaiian nostalgia touch.

Kind of gone downhill lately. Service was slow, food isnt what it used to be, got the wrong order, got the wrong bill (and prices on the bill didnt match the menu) all in one go. I can understand a goof but all in one visit? Come on.

We stood there and no one ever acknowledged us, the bartender saw us, the server saw us, the other person that looked like was working there saw us. Nobody said anything. It was actually funny. Its our fault for going to a dive bar wanting to have lunch/brunch. We blame ourselves.

Oh my goodness! How spectacular!! Friendly staff, delicious mix of vegan and traditional grilled plates. The souvlaki is well marinated and perfectly grilled, great selection of cold, cold beers. Fabulous diner atmosphere with charming, intimate lighting and cosy booths. You HAVE to visit!

Was nice to cross of my Toronto eats bucket list. Good prices with large portions. Plus the food is fantastic diner eats. I had the burger and my counterpart had the souvlaki, both most delish. Service is super friendly and just enough. The vibe inside is so cozy, not loud (except people chatting), and nicely decorated. Great ambiance! Also freshly squeezed juice is sexy.

I was in Toronto for four days, I made three trips to The Skyline! The Caesar salad was one of the best Ive had. I had a Rueben, and a Club Sandwich. Both were very good, but Id give the edge to the Club, of the two. The beer selection is great. They also had a radler, with grapefruit added to the lager, Id guess, which was very light and refreshing in the heat. Thats what I went back for on the third day! The atmosphere is fantastic, and the staff are friendly and efficient. I look forward to returning when theres a band playing to check out the vibe.

Major portion shrinkage. Went here a few months back and walked out full. This time I stopped at McDonalds afterwards to fill up. Im a big man (190 lbs) so I usually order the biggest item on the menu. Should have noticed everybody at the diner was small. I ordered a big breakfast for $24 + change and got: 1/4 of a potato, diced (if that). Fit in my hand 3 small eggs 1 slice of french toast, cut in half 2 bacon slices 2 small sausages 2 small peameal bacon slices (palm sized) Had to ask for jam I could tell half way through that it wasnt going to do the job, so i started eating my wifes food too (finished it). She paid way less for a reuben sandwich and got a bigger plate with more stuff on it. My plate was smaller and wasnt even filled. What a joke! I should have taken a photo, but I wont be coming back to do so. 10/10 Mcdonalds did the job. To those reading: Check out the Rhino down the street. Cheaper prices, larger portions.

If you like the more vintage dinner experience, this is the place to be. The special on the weekend with Muscles are highly recommended if you can handle a little spice.

Even from the outside the charm shines. The Neon Skyline sign is a good representation of the delightful diner vibes inside. Think they do different specials or events most nights. Its quintessentially Parkdale. Stop by to see the Hoolagoons sometime you wont be disappointed!

An old favorite of mine in the Parkdale area. The Skyline has been around for years and has never failed to serve the community with good food and a friendly, welcoming atmosphere. Despite the fact that I just needed the washroom, they were courteous enough to give me access to the facilities. I will definitely be in for a meal the next time I want to dine out Thank you Skyline and see you soon!

I ve been coming to this restaurant for years on and off. From breakfast to dinner to the much missed Monday music nights with the Skyliners. Just look at the breakfast I had today! This terrific place certainly is not in need of yet more raving reviews. It s very obvious that it is among the most beloved spots in Toronto. However, having been there for my first time last week, I felt compelled to add my voice here to the Skyline fan club! So at the risk of sounding like every other delighted customer, here are my two cents: My husband and I drove up from Montreal to visit with our daughter who lives in Toronto since about five years. She had booked an Italian restaurant for our dinner together, but said Skyline was one of her personal favourite spots. So we asked her why not go there then? We d love to see a place she feels comfortable and enjoys on a regular basis. She had taken us to Ace, closer to her home, for delicious brunches and she said it had a similar vibe. We were sold! She cancelled the other reservation and since Skyline doesn t take reservations, we took a chance we could get a table at 7:30. That s one of the (many) fabulous things about Skyline: it s always full but you don t seem to need to wait in line! The flow is just easy come and go, in an atmosphere of conviviality and joie de vivre which really made us feel instantly at home. Cameron, the do-it-all waiter/cocktail mixer/host/David Grohl lookalike took us to our booth and explained the daily specials to us. We all chose our own favorite from the daily specials and were equally pleased with out orders. Generous and tasty! My daughter was happy with her non-meat dish of spaghetti and non-meatballs, while my husband had the daily chicken with mashed and root veggies and I opted for the scrumptious pasta dish with tons of fresh bacon and mushrooms. So yummy. Our bottle of white was served in a wine bucket and the service was beyond reproach the entire time. Even though we were so full by that time, we couldn t resist trying one of their (four kinds!) of house cream pie. We chose the lime one, which tasted like key lime pie with extra cream. What s not to love. Will definitely be back. No wonder Andy sings about this place. If I could, I would too.

Burgers were all burnt. Chefs need a light over their grill or they dont know the connection between burnt protein and cancer (char like that doesnt even taste good)

We must have arrived right after they opened on a Sunday morning....within 20 minutes it was full. Very friendly staff. Enjoyed the fried chicken Benny and the Rueben. Kid-friendliness: My 12 y/o loved it.

Great spot for breakfast! Lots of yummy options for everyone in our party (including a vegetarian). Service was friendly and fast.
