Indulge in simple, fresh and delicious food with an innovative twist in Toronto when dining at SOCO Kitchen + Bar. Located on street level, our downtown signature restaurant features local ingredients and a diverse beverage selection in a warm, welcoming ambiance.
The atmosphere was classy, food hot and delicious and staff courteous. Our waiter was helpful and extremely patient with my rambunctious toddler. He kept my coffee cup full, which was very appreciated. The only complaint is that the tables were not set up for high chair access.
Came for espresso martinis because we are staying at the Delta hotel and they were delicious!! We ended up ordering the poutine to snack on and it was incredible. Great place!
My wife and I came here for date night. She LOVES rooftops. SOCO had a great rooftop and ambiance, space was well lit. The drinks were absolutely a hit. The food was pretty good, although it is more catered to larger groups instead of just two people. I think this place is awesome for gatherings.
This place is on the pricier side, but the food is excellent, especially the miso fish and grilled shrimp sides with the Caesar salad. However, the cost for a salad with two toppings can reach nearly $80, and that's just for lunch!
Invited to this nice restaurant just next to the CN tower, unfortunately it rained so we couldn’t access the terrace. Overall the drinks and food was great! Do recommend trying it.
Enjoyed a quick meal at Soco. The service was excellent. We ordered a kids pizza, Caesar salad and apps from the happy hour menu. A great place to meet up when exploring downtown.
We stopped here for a meal before our daughter went to a concert. It was ok but nothing to write home about. We had 2 pizzas and a Caesar salad. One pizza was burnt a bit and the other was under cooked. As far as the salad, It was nothing special. Definitely not worth the cost. I know it's not the best review, but that is how we feel.
My boyfriend and I came here for our 2 year anniversary. The service is amazing. Manya and Linda provide a good service to us and also made a hand made congratulations card for us. It was super sweet and full of love❤️. Also the food is delicious. The steak cook so well and the desert is really good. The server was also helpful and answer different questions from us. We really enjoy the entire experience!
Salmon was super delicious. Overall decent place for a quick meal if you re stepping out from your office.
Food was cold, oily and stale. I ended up waking up and getting sick from what i ate. My Diet Coke was flat and food was incredibly expensive. The rest of my party felt extremely ill as well. If you re on vacation and actually want to enjoy yourself i wouldn t recommend coming here. It s clear many people have gotten sick here
Friendly staff. Quick to bring orders.
Lunch menu has lots of good options. Make sure to check the day and hours the menus are available at as they have five different menus.
Bad food, Quality and flavours were poor.
I had an amazing experience at Soco! Perfectly located right across from Rogers Centre, the ambience strikes the perfect balance casual and relaxed, yet with an upscale touch. The food was absolutely incredible too. I tried the pan-seared salmon and it was spot on. What really stood out was the staff, making you feel welcomed and at ease - Paula was fantastic, and Ryan G s signature shot is a must-try! I ll definitely be coming back highly recommend it!
Went here for dinner with some colleagues. The food was good. I had the Pollo Asado it was very good and a generous portion (3 tacos). My colleagues enjoyed their pizza and burgers as well.
Great place, great food, great service and all this without breaking the bank
Visited this bar while I was in Toronto for work and the food and service were impeccable! Ryan G and Paige were both absolutely amazing and hospitable and I will come back here when I visit Toronto!
The Food I got didn t taste good. Very bland.
Hands-down, the best chicken sandwich I ve ever had in my life. I could ve eaten the other half but we had to bring the other home for our men to try the sandwich. Service was so so, but I didn t care.
SOCO is a gem restaurant in the heart of DT. Its across CN tower and Aquarium. I walked in with friends on Sat. evening. Nice atmosphere, service & food . Food
Donn was an amazing server and the food was delicious. Burger was great and great variety on drink menu.
Donn was the best server! He was efficient, polite, charming. He really made sure we had a great dining experience! Would highly recommend this restaurant.
Fantastic service from Donn. Highly recommend when visiting the city.
Don was a phenomenal server!. Had a great time and amazing service!
Definitely try the shakshouka from the brunch menu. I find ordering non-American menu items at these types of restaurants can be quite unpredictable, but this plate was well balanced for what it was. Very flavourful and extremely filling. If you re looking for a spot to watch the game or grab some food before catching a train this place provides just that.
Service are complicated for the customers. The personal who attended was rude.
We had Donovan as our server and he is amazing. His service was on point, very attentive and made good recommendations! I would highly recommend you give this guy a raise or bonus as his attention to detail made us want to spend more and order more. Donovan is an asset you Delta and I hope they reward him accordingly. You can t tell me a multi billion corporation doesn t have room in their budget to reward him.
I recently had a frustrating experience at this restaurant. We had asked the waiter to split the bills before we put our order through. Shivana expresses this was a onetime exception because its going to be a busy night. Keep in mind the restaurant was empty. Shivana should focus on the customers in the restaurant now and not the future. How do you know if the restaurant will get busy ? It felt disorganized and added unnecessary confusion to our evening. The job doesnt seem rocket science.
Usually FANTASTIC! Tonight sucked, horrible service, they dont know how to pour Guinness, inattentive server. Will try somewhere else next time. Too expensive for that level of service. To answer your question, we were there on Sept 10. Cant remember our servers name but she was more interested in prepping a table for a very large reservation than she was in serving us. As a Jays and Raptors season ticket holder I stop by quite frequently but service seems to be going downhill
Nice patio, great view of the CN Tower from there. Food was very good but limited options.
I ordered a $25 salad, and I was really disappointed with the portion size. The salad consisted of very small pieces of lettuce and a few other vegetables. Unfortunately, it didn t feel like it was worth the money. I wouldn t recommend ordering a salad here, as the value just isn t there.
Go for the Whiskey Cake
Had Shakshouka for late breakfast. Good portion size and taste good. Food
The food has highs and lows. The crispy tuna rice is a fun bright spin on sushi. The veggies for the entree were a bit bland and the sauces lack brightness or richness. The cocktails use a variety of adventurous ideas but lack the punch of flavor or surprise. Its VERY expensive for what is essentially a Keg with better design. The cocktails are especially egregious. Could be fun for a date if you can handle the eye watering price tag for a pretty good meal.
Great place for a patio drink or to grab some food. We went there after the Fan expo and was a great resting spot with nice drinks
I had the best rotisserie chicken I ve ever had. I thoroughly enjoyed the salad as well. Kids pizza was delicious but pepperoni was too spicy for my kids. Waitress Hailey was great all the way through!
Slow and incredibly inattentive. Waited over 45 minutes for food. Waiter sees us sitting here with empty plates and empty glasses for at least the last 15-20minutes and pretends he doesnt. Food was a solid 5/10 with a boring menu. Dont come here. Food
Awesome service from Shivana! We enjoy our time here! And will be back for you ! Thank you!
A fabulous dinner after the game! Manya took excellent care of us on the patio. She made sure our drinks and food came out promptly, and she was warm and courteous to all of us, the seniors and the kids. Will definitely return!
Stayed at Delta with a breakfast package, was told by front desk a la cart is covered too, for my celiac wife. Every server fought to shove the buffet at us. 2 of them even said the buffet is the only option for the prepaid breakfast. They may be better for lunches or the rooftop bar, but we were so put off we never considered them. The majority of foods were either Starbucks or grocery store bought (boxes of cereal, oikos individual yogurts, tazo teas, rainforest blend coffee). Not what you expect for a restaurant attached to a 4 star hotel at all. Dietary restrictions: The a la cart menu is certainly celiac friendly. Buffet, only the fruit and scrambled eggs were far enough away to be considered safe.
Substituted a skunked Stella Beer when I ordered a local craft beer.. told me they were out of Steam Whistle and didnt think I would care. Insulting when Steam Whistle is across the street? Brisket and beef burger was very good . Higher prices than other near by restaurants
I recently had the pleasure of dining at Soco during my first trip to Toronto, and it was nothing short of exceptional. From the moment we arrived, the ambiance was warm and inviting, setting the stage for a wonderful evening. The highlight, however, was the outstanding service. Our server, Linda, went above and beyond to ensure everything was perfect. She was attentive, friendly, and made us feel right at home. It s rare to experience such thoughtful service, and Linda truly made the dinner special. As for the food it was simply delicious! Every dish was beautifully presented and bursting with flavor. It s clear the team at Soco takes great pride in their culinary craft. Overall, the dinner at Soco was a standout moment on my first trip to Toronto, and I can t recommend it enough. Whether you re a local or just visiting, make sure to add this restaurant to your list you won t be disappointed!
We ordered brunch but it was super cold The waiter came asking how the food we told her we ate but it was cold she just smiled Wont come back again Food : 1/5
DONN was very polite and exceptional service.
Amazing place to hangout! Donn was amazing and was really helpful. Would highly recommend Soco- Kitchen and Bar. Food : 5/5
Donn best server took care of our entourage of 9 people. Helpful and caring. Vegetarian options: Mushroom pizza Food : 5/5 |
Thanks Donn for your excellent service.
Food was divine and the service we received from Donn was nothing short of exceptional. What a star
Perfect location after a Jays game! Donn was a great server, helped make our time memorable!
Great service, fun and friendly and perfect patio! Highly recommended :)
Had a great time. Good food, great patio. Donn was excellent!
Was staying in the hotel and decided to go in this place for a drink. Staff was nice and friendly. I highly recommend this place
The restaurant was not busy. There should be no reason we had to wait over 40 minutes just to get our order down and then it took an additional 40 minutes to get our food. The food was average the brisket was good but the restaurant was not busy and the wait time was excessive. I wouldn t come here again
Paula at the front desk was amazing! She got us in even tho we missed our reservation! The Dj was amazing @sir.grimz!
My recent breakfast with friends was fantastic. The service was attentive and friendly, making us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. The food was delicious and beautifully presented. The atmosphere was perfect for a leisurely meal, with a relaxed and inviting vibe. Overall, it was a thoroughly satisfying experience, combining great food, excellent service, and a pleasant environment.
I was in Toronto for a show and stopped in with my mother for a mimosa before lunch. Our bartender was Abdisa and he was an absolute gem .. he made us the best espresso martinis we have ever had after our mimosas. We will be coming back the next time we are in town just to see him! Food
Nice and couzy place, location right. Music some how loud for brunch time!
We went for brunch one Sunday. Food was delicious. Everything on the table tastes good. Kids menu was a very nice addition for our toddler and even her food was excellent. Overall great place. Only the vibes are a bit too party-like, which is no longer my thing..
If it was possible will put 0 , even -. No service at all. Our server was gone forever, they brought food without utensils.
Abdisa is the man! Top tier bartender/server and incredible friendly. Made us a personalized Caesar with tequila, it s a must try! Highly recommend this place(especially if Abdisa is work)
Great service, delicious food.
Food was ok, too expensive for the quality service was good. Will not go again
Overall ok but two things Average food with ridiculous pricing The tip% is set to 22% as a default. Like seriously? I had just one pasta dish and ended up paying 55 dollars.
Do not eat here. I have never given a negative review before, but I feel like I have to warn people. I ordered the seafood pasta, and my mussels were completely rotten. On my first bite, I actually had to spit it out and was almost sick to my stomach. It was so so gross. I did let the manager know that my mussels were bad, and they did try to rectify the situation by offering me a complimentary dessert and taking my dinner off the bill. However my appetite was completely ruined and I felt sick, so I declined the dessert. I feel concerned because I m not the only person who experienced this, according to these reviews. I was lucky I spit my food out right away and didn t end up with food poisoning, but it seems that other people were not so lucky. I would not recommend eating here, and I hope that the staff can resolve this issue soon - especially considering the high prices.
Gluten free options are available
Overpriced !!! Poor quality to price ratio !!! Avoid and find better offering in the area. $6 for half avocado $30 Poke Bowl that leaves you hungry Flat bread Canadian: a glorified poor quality pizza filled with pepperonis :(
Great food. Near so much. Excellent service Wheelchair accessibility: Yes. Its very easy Recommended dishes Smoked Salmon Benny, Salad
Booked reservation for Saturday June 29th. 8pm, they took reservation but are closed? Says open on maps. Why? Food
The worst service ever No thank you and asked me ti pay 25 percent tip Service slow and no refill coffee The server never come back and refill coffee He hit 25 percent tip that I need to pay No thank you at the end of service and nothing Wasting 220 dollars for this breakfast Do not waste your money here and got worst service No respect at all
Stopped here after a long day of driving. Everyone in the party quickly found just what they wanted to eat and nothing disappointed. The margarita was strong and management came over to show me how to properly eat the tiramisu that I ordered to go. Great people watching when the game was over. Excellent service and friendly staff all around.
We went for lunch with my partner and we loved this place! Maria was our server, she was so warm and friendly, made us feel very welcome. She recommended the chicken sandwich and it was the best thing I ate in Toronto, we will definitely come back every time we are in the city!
We enjoyed ourselves :) It is a little pricy but it was worth the visit. Theres also a kids menu, and my son and I loved the sorbet!! Food
Breakfast options here make sense if one is staying at the Delta. Viktoria got us seated in a few minutes and Danesh took care of us for our meal. Good bowl of Orange Steel Cut Oats or the Omelette is good too. A side of Sourdough Toast is also a good option if one is looking to fuel up for the day. Hot coffee or tea to wash it down, and one is set for the day.
the service was a little slow even though there it wasn t busy, but the food made it worth it, the drinks were good too
Terrible service. We were seated at the table for 30 minutes and no one came to take our order or greet us. Eventually, we got up and asked a waiter if she could take our order and she said she would be right back but never came. She was very rude and disrespectful as I called out to her a second time to take our order and she completely ignored me after making eye contact. We eventually got up and left as the service was terrible. Never coming back here again.
Amazing place. I recommend making a reservation before coming here, specially after the Jays games. We were group of 8 people. Our waitress was Linda. Her service was top notch. She was very nice, friendly, knowledgeable and suggested us great options for foods and drinks. We had BBQ chicken wings, spicy tuna rice, calamari, chicken poutine and more apps. Everything tastes so good. Highly recommend this place and we will come back again.
I have been wanting to try Soco for quite a while now, so finally made a reservation for 6 people. We were excited to be seated outside and that we got there as people began to clear out, however once we were seated and ordered we waited for quite some time without any word on our order. Our food came out about 30-40 minutes after we ordered and our drinks had still not arrived by that point. When we did receive our drinks they were all very strong and did not have much flavour other than the alcohol that was inside of them. We had to ask for water several times before it came as well which was disappointing. I would not have minded the wait as much, however as we went to pay we had to tip 18% minimum on our bill that was already over $300 for poor and slow service. I would not want to go here when the restaurant is full. Too expensive for what you get.
Terrible restaurant. Possibly the worst decision of our time in Toronto was to eat breakfast here. The service is slower than anywhere I have ever been. They got the order wrong. We were about to just walk out it is so awful. I emphatically DO NOT RECOMMEND.
Our food was so late we had to cancel our food order. The manager did not even bother to come to our table. Our drink tap was not discounted or comp ed - even though we waited 45 minutes to get beers. Very disappointing.
Me and my friends went to Toronto for my friends 17th birthday, everything about this place is great. Especially the staff Linda and Michael. Make sure Michael is your waiter when you come here, Michael is caring, funny and overall a great waiter. Service was great and the food was truly amazing. We are so glad we embarked on this journey to Toronto.
first off i loved the food here and so did my friends but the best of all was the staff especially Linda and Michael, he was great with us, and he was also very funny. If you re looking for a waiter, make sure you request Michael he went above and beyond for my group much love for this place would recommend.
Great place with great food! Ordered the Margarita Pizza, slaw salad and Tiramisu. It was amazing. Pizza was crispy, well balanced between cheese and sauce, the slaw salad had a nice crunch with a great sharp dressing and the Tiramisu was balanced and quite sophisticated with the flavors. The only thing is the restaurant is a bit on the pricey side.
I would qualify the food at this place below average. Very disappointing specially given the prices. I ordered the rostisserie chicken, and to be honest, you can have a better chicken at half price in any other regular pub. The chicken comes with fries, and they were all soggy instead of crispy. Also, sevice was so inattentive. Even when being a fairly large group, we did not feel well served. Important to mention that the place was not packed at all. To make it worse, they dont split the bill. It has to be always 1 bill or they can make it 2 bills, but it is just the total amount divided by 2. One of us ordered a pasta and asked for some cheese. They gave them a VERY small amount in a TINY bowl. We had to ask again for more cheese, and they brought the same small bowl with even LESS cheese. If you order tacos, let me tell you that if you want just 1 extra tortilla, you have to pay $6 extra. Thats insane. And the shrimp tacos that we ordered were weirdly smelly. Overall, not worth it. I think you end up paying the privilege of dining at a downtown restaurant instead of paying for good quality food.
Don took care of us from start to finish. He gave detailed information about the dishes we ordered and his service was impeccable!! He even gave us tips about the city. The atmosphere was beautiful and the food was the best I ve had in Canada, absolutely recommend!!
A group of seven can sometimes be a challenge for any server particularly if theyre visiting from out of town, but not for Don. He was courteous, respectful and knew the menu well. He was quick to make a suggestion when asked a question, while also being patient and helpful as we perused the menu. Don was engaging, funny and attentive. When a few in our group asked about the lemonade, he provided us all with a sample. At the end of the meal, when asked for directions, Don was happy to provide them to help us along our way. The food at SOCO Kitchen + Bar is the best weve had on our trip. Our group enjoyed the Meatballs, Miso Salmon, Ribeye Steak, Chicken Tacos and Poutine. Everything was of the highest quality and was quite delicious. Everyone in our group agreed this was our best evening out while visiting Canada. Don was a blessing to us and we pray that God has a blessing for him too.
I went to the rooftop here for dinner and Paige my server was one of the most friendliest servers she was so quick and had amazing recommendations of what food to get . 10/10 service from Paige, I deff. Would come back . It was also so beautiful on the rooftop i hope paige is my server the next time im there :)
Thanks Donn for the good grub and wine. The atmosphere was nice. Place is not overly noisy so I can enjoy my company!
Great service and good laughs from Donn!
Great dinner with coworkers. Thank you Donn for your hospitality!
Our server Donn is awesome and friendly. Food is great. We came in as a big group and enjoyed dinner.
Very nice experience ! The food was super delicious. Super friendly team Thank you Food
Food and service were amazing here!! Such a fun spot and the staff were amazing! Shout out to our server paige, she knew the menu really well and was so helpful with all my dietary restrictions! Would definitely come here again!!
Horrible horrible service! They charged us extra for just replacing the choice of protein and we were not informed about this. We also asked for halal chicken sandwich and they added pork to it (which if you live in this world and understand the definition of halal is NOT halal) - they did this twice with us! For anyone planning to dine here, I d say save your money and have instant noodles instead!
Service was long and what can I say about the food...frozen pizza from grocery store is MUCH better. Touristic Location...I dont recommend.
One of the Best Restaurants I have been to. Great Service @ The Bar, Restaurant, and just really great people. Quick Service! Great Food! And just Great Vibesss! I really enjoyed coming here for my Meal. The Restaurant was very clean! Bathrooms were clean! The Set-Up was very sleak! I would definitely suggest this Restaurant, and Bar to others! They will be having massive Rooftop Parties in the Summer, and Autumn! Check that out! Enjoyyyyy!
Exceptional breakfast buffet; one of the best Ive ever seen. Excellent service.
Delicious! Loved the chicken poutine and burrata salad! Comfortable and clean with great service!
Horrible service I waited 30 minutes for a popsicle and when it came it was cut in half which is horrible for the 8$ price I paid for it.
Good menu, great service. We had a tuna appetizer and pizza. Both were excellent. A bit noisy.
Always a great dinner before the game
Today me and kids went to SOCO for dinner and had the best time as we were waiting for our brownie we meet a bartender named Ryan G who looked so much like my son Ryan who has glasses and messy hair just like my son and the staff were very amazing we had such a wonderful time talking Hailey and Simona. Would definitely recommend to eat here!
Had dinner and drinks at the rooftop patio here with some friends after work. Food and service was amazing, shout out to our server Abdisa who killed it with service and recommendations. He was friendly and courteous and had great food and drink recommendations, whatever they are paying this guy it s not enough! 10/10 would go back
Great spot. Ryan G. is an awesome bartender!! Food
After a Jay s game, you d think they would be more prepared. Waited 20 minutes to get an order in. 20 minutes for a caesar and then 40 minutes for food. If I could rate it a 0 I would. The GM here needs to do better at optimizing their scheduling.
Im doing my best to leave a positive review for this establishment, but unfortunately, the service was extremely disappointing. Upon arrival for our reservation, we waited for several minutes without being greeted or having our orders taken. It was a challenge to get the attention of the servers, and even when we did, they appeared to avoid our table until we had to seek out a manager. Our drinks took a long time to be served, and an order was missed, leading to further difficulties in getting assistance from the waitstaff. The food, particularly the tacos, was subpar with a soggy texture and an off-putting flavor.
Disappointed we picked this place after the Jays game. Food was okay, but the service was terrible. Nice wait staff but it took 40 minutes for a drink. Then 50 minutes for our food, however 3 out of 4 only got their order. We just wanted to leave by the end of all of it. Sadly we wont be returning.
5 of us came here for lunch the other day (12:45pm). We made a reservation but it was very quiet, and probably didnt have to make one but thats okay. We went on a Saturday and didnt realize that lunch isnt served on weekends - only brunch is. We were a little disappointed, as we had looked at the lunch menu before arriving and the brunch menu didnt have many of the same options, but thats our own fault for missing the fine print. We also didnt realize the rooftop patio had a different menu than the indoor restaurant. Again, not their fault but we missed that. We decided to dine indoors because there were much more food options, rather than drinks. Overall, the food was very average. Everyone agreed that their food was a little bland, and some commented that their dishes were a little greasy. I got the spicy chicken burger and it was definitely very greasy, a little messy, and not at all spicy. I was expecting it to be white meat, but it was a mix of white meat, dark meat, and fat which was a little disappointing. The tater tots were very good though, and my friend ordered the fries which were truly delicious. I think the biggest drawback was the service, though. I didnt catch the name of the man serving us but it felt very much like he didnt want us there. He didnt check in on us at all, and when he set our food down it almost felt like he was throwing it down and then leaving as quickly as he could. If it had been busy I would completely understand but there were only a couple other tables in the whole restaurant and most of them were being served by other people. I tried not to think too much of it and didnt mention it, but when we left, the other members of my party all commented on how they had felt unwelcome. However, the restaurant itself is very clean. It is well kept, but does feel very corporate. Vegetarian options: A decent amount of vegetarian options, but mostly just pastas or shakshouka Dietary restrictions: Very very limited gluten free options. If youre gluten free, I recommend dining elsewhere.
Two stars for location only. Servers are polite, but the service is extremely extremely slow. Nobody comes to check to see if your food was good, my drink took 40 minutes to get to me. Would not recommend unless you re going strictly for people watching
Hostess Linda was amazing- gave me a great experience for my birthday which I truly appreciated. Great views and great food!
Not really any service. 18% gratuity added, which is fine, but lack of service not good. Drinks took like an hour to slowly come out. All horrendous. Must be why its empty after games, and packed downtown.....
I stopped by Soco Kitchen and Bar after leaving the convention centre and needed some help with directions. Shenaj, one of the staff, was very helpful and guided me well.
My wife and I just returned from a trip to Aruba and were staying in Toronto for 3 nights ( March 21 - 24 ). I decided that I wasnt quite ready to trade in the Caribbean flip flops for the snow storm that was happening in Toronto so I decided the place to go was downstairs to SOCO Kitchen + Bar for Brunch. Sat up at the bar where I met Ryan G (Bartender) Extremely personable and great service. Eggs Benedict were delicious too. As I was getting ready to leave, as I had mentioned to Ryan that my wife and I were staying in the hotel, he graciously invited us back. Later that night, I returned to the bar and knowing I was contemplating walking over to Scotiabank Centre to try and score some Leafs tickets, Ryan made sure the game was on at the bar as my wife had gone out to meet some friends and family. Before I could leave the bar, my wife and her group decided to surprise me and show up at the bar. A this point, Ryan was joined by another bartender (Abdisa) and we had taken over the bar with our group. These 2 bartenders were absolutely AMAZING. Not only were they attentive to all the other guests in the bar, they made sure that we were well taken care of. The food was delicious, the service was 5* + but the Atmosphere was created by these 2 individuals and much appreciated. Abdisa & Ryan had us laughing pretty hard. Being that we frequent Toronto often and always stay downtown, these guys just gained the hotel returning guests and SOCO Kitchen + Bar new regulars. My wife and I returned the next morning again for brunch before leaving for the airport and Ryan G, once again took care of us with his quality 5* service and the in house yummy chips. Turning a visit into an experience, that is true customer service. Thank you Ryan G.
My wife and I stopped in for a couple apres dinner cocktails. Bartender was excellent, Ryan G. He was working hard, attentive and very friendly. Host also came over to check on us as well. The drinks were made to perfection. A warm welcome and fond farewell. Customer service is attitude is everything, Ryan has a great attitude. I gave 5 stars to food but that really is for the awesome drinks.
Friendly, attentive staff. Fantastic service by bartender Ryan G. Feature cocktails excellent.
Terrible ordering service, can t order any sides for breakfast that we wanted, just full price full meals, just wanted to order some bacon, potatoes or russet hash as a side, not allowed to but you can get the sides on your full price menu item, the staff and everything is great, but I d rather get overpriced skip the dishes and walk down in my underwear then wait for this place the hotel was nice but this place doesn t deserve business, absolute wash of a restaurant
I had a fantastic experience at Soco Kitchen and Bar. The atmosphere, food, and service truly sets them apart from the other restaurants in downtown core. Came in for a quick bite at the bar before the leafs game, greeted by Jocey at the front and served by Ryan G at the bar. They clearly work as a team and hit all the steps of service. I will be coming back soon, definitely stop by if your in the downtown area!
DO NOT EAT FROM HERE!! I was really impressed with this place at first! I came to Toranto to see Olivia Rodrigo with floor seats! I ate here around 2:00ish and by 8:30 at the concert I was projectile vomiting into a public toilet. Me and my girlfriend had to leave after an hour off the show because I couldn t keep anything down and we had only seen like 3 songs, I was in the bathroom vomiting for the others. I am extremely sad that choosing to eat here ruined my expensive concert experience. This place was not worth food poisoning. I have thrown up 20 times in the past 6 hours.
Great place for young children too. Kid-friendliness: Kids menu has many options to choose from. Wheelchair accessibility: Wheel chair friendly environment
The food was okay. I had the lemon pasta. Could have had way more asparagus. It had three shavings of it.
Delicious food, great service and friendly staff. Definitely recommended!
Our first time there, Ryan and Linda were very courteous and professional, the food was freshly prepared, and everything tasted delicious. We came back a second time, and we were treated with the same great experience. SOCO is fortunate to have such a great staff! Dietary restrictions: Gluten free was listed on the menu. The tacos were already gf and were delicious!
Located right beside my workplace, Im surprised I havent been to SOCO before. Its more of a business meal type environment, as the prices are pretty high without using an expense account, and the menu is nothing too special. Despite this, I did enjoy my meal here and I would consider coming again. I ordered the chicken katsu curry, which was a surprise to me to even see it on the menu. The portion, for $32 was pretty good - of course you can get an amazing katsu for less somewhere else, but for the location this was really good. The taste was great and the amount of chicken was sizable. The only complaint Id have is that the presentation made it hard for me to pair rice with the curry sauce, as the rice was all hidden underneath the egg rather than underneath the curry. My coworker got the tuna poke bowl ($30) and that looked good as well. The portion didnt look that big, but I didnt hear any complaints. We also ordered the whisky cake ($16) for dessert, which was just okay. Overall, we paid $116 including tax and tip for lunch, which really is quite expensive. But, I was pretty happy with the quality of the meal and Ive definitely had worse nearby. If you do come here - I recommend the curry. Reservations likely not needed.
Great food selections
Visited SOCO after the Raptors game. Fancy ambiance with an open kitchen. Service was a bit slow but improved later. Tried the brisket burger and pepperoni pizza with spicy honey, which was a standout. Overall, a good dinner spot!
Good food
Amazing place for a beautiful cappucino, a nice lunch or a dinner before heading out on the town. Close to scotiabank to watch some sports or concerts, as well...very easy access to path, landmarks and transit all within less than a 5 minute walk!!! Lovely!
The food tasted good. It was slow to come out considering it wasn t busy when our group was there. There was our table plus two other tables with two people at each. The waitress brought the wrong drink for one person, but had not come back until we got our bill. Staff from the kitchen brought our food. The waitress then didn t want to separate our bills because there were 8 of us . We only needed two bills for our two families. Which it would have been more understandable not to do it if the place was busy, but at that point we were the only people dining. Also is it common for waitresses to add their own tip in? I ve never had one do that before. Ours did but unfortunately it was adapted. Hopefully a one off.
Came in before a jays game and the food and service was great. Paige was a great server to us and was very attentive and fun! Would definitely recommend and come back not only for the pizza but the friendly staff here
Worst service !!!! I asked if they knew how to make a Hennessy sidecar. My waiter Rafi, asked me for the ingredients which I provided. They charged me for two shots of Hennessy instead of a cocktail which came out to $50. I asked the logic behind that especially because I did not request two shots of Hennessy. I asked for a manager, Minalyn Adajar. She offered to give me $7 off which was less than the taxes on my $82 bill. I left with o understanding and no real resolve.
Came here for lunch with my staff for a nearby convention. Now, totally our fault for opening up the bottles of water left at the table (they thought it was free but of course they were $9 a bottle ..4 bottles later). When one of my staff asked for tap water, the waiter just laughed and said he will try and find some. Service was slow and had to flag down to order. There is a minimum requirement for good service, come by and ask if we are ready, check to see if we needed anything mid service, and water top up (especially after $36 for 4 bottles of over charged water) but none of this happen. My chicken blt was bacon, and sliced chicken luncheon meat and some avocados, slathered with sauce...again over priced. The fries were good but not good enough to overlook the poor service. A skip for my next staff convention lunch....
A group of us came here spontaneously during lunch time, and they had a table ready to accommodate nine of us. No splitting bills and mandatory gratuity because of the large group. The server took our order in a timely manner, and our food was served fairly quickly. My salad tasted good, and I didnt hear anyone complain about their meal.
Service was amazing atmosphere was great! But food was not a hit. Apps were decent but mains were alright but not worth the price.
Don t recommend the buffet breakfast
Solid local option with decent food. Miso salmon is good but the portion is too small. IG: mansafx
Excellent food. excellent service
Very good Restaurant!!
Burgers were pretty bad. My son actually spit his out and left 90% of it and they didnt even ask.
Great experience, cold drinks, good food and solid service. The wings were a surprise hit - not expecting to be bad, just that good.
Delicious Menu could have had a few more options. Overall good experience Food
Waiter was very knowledgeable. Gave great recommendations. Food was delicious.
Nina was amazing and very attentive!! She deserves a review! Thank you for having us!
We randomly walked in here while in Toronto. It was quite spacious. Food was delicious. The pepperoni pizza was so good - kind of has a sweet kick to it. If you like mushrooms, please try the Mushroom Casarecce. We were greeted by the loveliest host ever. Her name was Nina and she is amazing at her job. Her friendliness is what prompted my review.
Great place for a quick bite, menu has a wide variety
I checked out this spot with my wife before the NHL All-Star Skills Comp. Very good food, amazing atmosphere, service was a little slow for a place that wasnt that busy. Our server was more concerned with cleaning empty tables than serving us. Id still come back though as I love atmospheres like this.
Soco is amazing. The food is delicious and everyone is kind and helpful. Loved visiting this place. We had one bottle of prosecco, steak and salad, the miso salmon and the cheesecake desert, and the bill was 180$. Food : 5/5
Had dinner here on the same evening as a raptors game and it was packed. The pizza was delicious as was their cocktails.
Decent food, a little something for everyone. Great dinner location if attending an event at the Scotiabank arena. Indoor access to arena from mezzanine level of Delta hotel, just above Soco.
First meal here since before the pandemic and it was quite disappointing. My partner had the fish which was overcooked and tasted old (like it had been poached the day before and then warmed up). My salad was decent. The mac & cheese was very bland and very disappointing as well. Its a shame because I remember having lunch here years ago and quite liking it, but it seems the place has gone down hill since then.
Such a great experience with high end food. We had their burger and fries and it was amazing. Elevated flavours with fries that were to die for. It was a pre-game meal and was close to the arena. If you are in the area stop in!
We went in for buffet, food was excellent. Staff were attentive and polite. Great experience. Food : 5/5
I was in town for a short visit on my own. Ryan was excellent and very knowledgeable about the menu, drinks and different attractions around the city. It was a pleasure meeting him.
Great restaurant. It has a fantastic atmosphere and the price is reasonable. We had a pizza here, and it was excellent. The service was a little slow. Thats the reason for 4 stars in the services category.
Had Christmas here with my kids last night. Great food great service
It is alright. Not the best food, servers were a little confused. But location is great before a game.
We ordered the Charcuterie board (there were two of us but we were not really hungry) it was delicious, a good amount of food for what we needed but I would say its not worth 39.00 dollars. The menu was great and had a lot of awesome dishes. I will go back and try more. Service was exceptional. I dont recall our servers name but he was extremely friendly, funny, attentive and just over all really good at what he does. An absolute sweet heart. Another gentleman brought us over water and he was bubbly and happy to help us. The host was also friendly. Atmosphere - a little crowded where we were sitting. I liked the low tables and comfy seating. The colour and decor was bland. For a modern looking restaurant, it was boring and the vase/plant centerpieces on the table were quite ugly. Interestingly enough, the washrooms were the best looking part of the restaurant.
I had a great dinner at SOCO, I celebrated a friend s birthday here and the food was so delicious. I ordered the miso salmon and it was very pleasant. Although, the first time it came out, the skin of the filet was completely burnt and I notified the server who handled the situation professionally. When the re-make was done, I was able to fully enjoy my meal. The salmon was delicate and tender. The black rice was a great contrasting element to the dish with its distinct texture. My friend ordered the burgers and was very satisfied with the portions, especially the amount of fries given as a side. As for the risotto, my partner unfortunately felt it fell quite short of depth in flavours, considering the price point of $40. Otherwise, I had a decent night here at SOCO and would recommend anyone to come here if they are in the area.
Dec 2023, visited Soco again with kids for brunch. We enjoyed the food and the courteous service. Noticed some new items on the menu- Shakshouka, mushroom avo toast. Both items were delicious. The team of chefs was very generous with a platter of sweets for the kids. Thank you for amazing food and service. We will be back.
Always a nice time at SOCO. Got the burger, good value! Most of the other entrees were out of my budget unfortunately
My daughter loved her cheese pizza and I enjoyed the Poke bowl. Kids Mac and cheese is more like a white sauce pasta.
We ordered food, the pizza was Mediocre at best... it was pepperoni with some sweet hot honey on it. Definetly not needing the honey $21.. the caeser salad shown in the picture was $22 if you can believe it. Maybe enough for 1 person. They also forgot our dressing initially. Would not recommend either
Brunch here was really good, fresh ingredients and the quality makes it special! We tried a couple of cocktails (Girl Dinner Caesar & Chocolate Dreams) and loved it. Missed out on the rooftop bar this time, hoping to be back soon!
My girlfriend and I came to this place for our 5 year anniversary and the host was able to make a hand made congratulations card for us and it was super cute and sweet and also treated us to a desert which was delicious. The server we had was also quite funny and made us enjoy the entire experience, we both had the soco burger and it was the best burger I ever had
My boyfriend and I went to the Delta Hotel for lunch, at Soco Restaurant. To start we were greeted right away by friendly staff and were brought to a table right away. I am always hesitant to go out and eat, due to my many food allergies. The waitress took our order and was very knowledgeable about what foods I could and should not eat (due to contamination with my allergens.). Although she knew what I could and shouldnt eat, she double checked with the chef and sous chef to ensure it was safe. This gave me a peace-of-mind. The food was DELICIOUS!! Thank you to executive chef Vidish and Sous Chef Shadab for looking after us, but especially me and my allergies. We will definitely be returning. Dietary restrictions: They were amazing with my food allergies!!
I expected better quality for the price! Good experience overall.
So Ive been here multiple times for breakfast and the food is really good, but overpriced. I recommend the Avo Toast in whatever version they have going, they seem to switch it up a lot. My favourite version included pomegranate seeds. The downside - service is awful. If you arent a hotel guest they will try to seat you at the bar even if booths are open. Your waiter will be totally inattentive and youll need to get up to ask for more coffee. I saw two people wait over thirty min today to get their order taken, even after asking someone to come help them. Restaurant wasnt even busy. I go for the food, but really wish service was better.
Omg seriously a hidden gem. Right in the lobby of Delta Hotel. This place has quality written all over it!. From the fresh food to the amazing service to very clean washrooms. Completely worth coming to enjoy. Its a bit of an up scale restaurant so roughly the cost for 2 people is around $65+. Price matching quality and experience.
Great food at decent price. Friendly staff.
What a great brunch experience in downtown Toronto! SOCO has a great location located next to the CN Tower, within the Delta Hotel. My wife and I went for a Labour Day brunch (until 2:30pm on weekends). There was plenty of seating, with a nice vibe and atmosphere. Restaurant was very clean and sophisticated. Ryan was very attentive and took such great care of us. He listened to our dietary restrictions (they have gluten free bread). Also shout out to Ryan for setting up a smoked salmon toast with cream cheese for me! My wife really enjoyed the eggs Benedict as well. Highly recommend to try this place out for brunch. Will return to try out their lunch and dinner menu. Vegetarian options: Vegetarian options available Dietary restrictions: Gluten free bread is available
Excellent food The tenderloin was truly amazing, the meat was so tasty and it just melted in our mouth. The salmon was also really, really good, maybe the best one we had here in Canada so far. Nice waitress too. Only downside: a bit too noisy. People coming from work were here as a group and they were really loud, and the music was also too loud in our opinion (we couldnt talk to each other). But, apart from that, everything else was excellent
The main problem with this restaurant is the staff. My experience was as follows upon being seated the host left two menus for a party of which isnt a deal breaker. After we waited for about 15mins before someone came to our to take out order. The waiter that took our order had a pretty bad attitude problem. It was clear he wasnt interested in doing the job. Well after taking our order he never provided us water which we asked for and we only received it after talking to the manager. Once the food arrived he still didnt come back to check on us. Aside from the poor wait service the overall service is pretty bad. It took another 15mins to get our bill. Overall I cant recommend so travelers beware. Waiter was Ryan 195227
It was good but very overpriced for what it is we each had an eggs Benny and it came to 65$ with two regular coffees
Steak and eggs were fantastic! Dont sleep on the tater tots either
Service was good but the food quality was disappointing
Always a decent place to stop
Very large restaurant with extensive menu choices. Great bar with good beer selection. Food and service was great. Good place for children the place is noisy.
A little loud, however, excellent service and food. (French fries, try to eat only one)
Fell in love with SOCO last night. We were looking for a restaurant within walking distance to both Union Station and Scotiabank Arena that also had great vegetarian options for someone else in our party. After reviewing a great online dinner menu and salivating over the pictures on Instagram, we decided to give it a try before our concert. Here are my thoughts on my shared meal: The You Wanna Peach of Me cocktail was perfection. It was essentially a peach mojito. I wasn t expecting much, flavour-wise, because it lacked the colour I normally associate with a peach forward drink. I couldn t have been more wrong it was a peachy delight! Imagine chewing on a fuzzy peach + a small mint sprig. This drink is that. Wonderfully refreshing. Kudos to the mixologist for creating this one. It was the best cocktail I ve enjoyed in recent months. The Yam+Bacon Grilled Cheese was fantastic. They use sweet yam, bacon, fresh basil leaves and spicy Boursin on sourdough - what an amazing flavour profile. The sandwich, which came with fries, was a larger portion than you d expect and very filling. The SOCO Bacon Cheeseburger was not a highlight of this meal for me. While not entirely bad, it was not something I would order here again. There are so many other interesting menu items to try. Their Signature Whiskey Cake was culinary perfection, for me. The cake, which is more texturally stimulating than you d expect it to be, is served with a raspberry sorbet that complements the dessert beautifully. I won t attempt to articulate all the fancy pastry chef features and techniques that went in to creating this dessert just know that it was a masterpiece. SOCO, thank you. I m looking forward to returning - hopefully this time for brunch! Or maybe a date? A girl can dream ;)
I lived across the street from here for over 10 years and this place never disappoints- great breakfast, brunch, lunch, and dinner all the time :) our also secret spot to watch a hockey game at the bar, never overly crowded, and impeccable service. I recently was there today for breakfast with my mom and 1 year old son, we did the buffet which is worth it since there is no wait and all you can eat with wonderful options! My son loved it, I loved it too! Our server was so sweet and kind, and accommodating- Soco is very family friend (also inside a great hotel!!) can t wait to be back! Kid-friendliness: Lots of families, had high chairs and wonderful kid menu Wheelchair accessibility: They have ramps to enter :)
Great place for brunch. Heavy pizza.
SOCO Kitchen + Bar is a culinary gem in every aspect. From the moment you step in, the interior and exterior seating exude a trendy yet inviting atmosphere. The food is not just tasty; its a flavor explosion. Their breakfast and brunch menu is a delightful journey for the taste buds. The variety and quality of dishes are top-notch. Its the perfect spot to start your day with a scrumptious breakfast or enjoy a satisfying lunch. Whether youre dining indoors or on their welcoming outdoor terrace, SOCO Kitchen + Bar delivers a memorable dining experience. Its a must-visit for food enthusiasts in search of both great taste and ambiance!
Entrée Coq Au Vin was so so. Stick to Pizza if you eat here.
Great morning buffet. Our server Maria excellent service she made our day
Kinda hate snobby and pretentious servers at places like this. Don t try to tell your customers that there are no seats when clearly there is plenty of room. No everyone wants to sit at a bar.
We had lunch here as it s close to our airbnb, it s very cute and the hostess was very nice opening the door for us and answering our questions. The food was good but nothing special in my opinion. The poke bowl was okay, the funghi pizza was great the burger was okay, but the BLT and the soup was the best. Definitely recommend the BLT and soup. The reason I won t give this place 5 stars is because the service was a bit odd. Specially our server, he took a bit too long to bring our drinks, I think at one point he forgot that we asked for a pepsi. He was forgetful better said and as a server it s not a good thing. Other than that this place is good for lunch and I bet for breakfast it s good too.
The food and staff here are phenomenal!
Exceptional food and service! Thank you for being so consistently amazing! I will never stop coming here :)
Hotel restaurant, food is good, service is top for the atmosphere..it is an hotel...
Decent hotel restaurant! Food was reasonably priced; spread wise the menu was slightly restricted. Staff members were professional.
I tried the salmon poke bowl as I have never seen a poke bowl with salmon before. To my surprise, it was excellent and sooo tasty. The price and portion was very reasonable considering the restaurant is inside the Delta hotel. I will definitely come back here to try the other dishes.
Delicious food and server is very attentive
Meagan on bar was fantastic! Great service, very personable, and friendly!
The pizza here is amazing! The crust the freshness of it. Had a cow mule it was okay the drink was a bit water down didn t taste any alcohol.
