Superb sandwiches! Went for lunch and hubby and I split the Italian sub and the Eggplant parm sandwich. Both were outstanding and very filling. I hadn t had a sliced meat sandwich in 20 years and after reading reviews on this one, I thought I d give it a try. (Im not big on meat substitutes) Well it sure lived up to the hype! The meat is sliced thin to perfection, the bun is fresh, the dressing was a beautifully balanced vinaigrette. Had a hard time sharing the other half with my hubby! Next, the Eggplant parm : one of the best I ve ever had. Eggplant cooked perfectly (no chewy parts), fresh bun and the sauce was delicious with a little kick of spice. We were gifted a tasting of onion rings that will soon be on the menu. They were also excellent. Our waitress was lovely and took the time to chat with us. The decor is modern, spotlessly clean (it s brand new) and it s bright and airy. Could use a few real plants would add to the plant based vibe. Ha ha. Will return to try the rest of the menu soon, and will bring the kiddos. Thanks team!

Saw this place on Instagram and finally got to go and loved it. Portions were small which I like cuz then I can taste more dishes. Music was a smidge too loud. Place is very clean and food was amazing. Vegetarian options: Everything is vegan and therefore also vegetarian

We tried Stefanos for the first time on a Friday night. It wasnt busy at all but it took a while to get us settled. The service there after was great. However the food is good and salmon is UNREAL BUT its pricey for the portions. The other food ordered was ok.

Cannot recommend this place enough! Everything we ordered was fantastic, atmosphere was great and the service was above and beyond. Standout dish was their special: a plant based salmon w/ herb mash which was unbelievable!

Extremely disappointed with the food quality, there are many plant-based/vegan restaurants that properly cook and prepare dishes that can feed the customers. We ordered multiple lasagna plates, an order of fries, gnocchi and the salmon. All of the lasagnas were consistently burnt, dry, flavorless and empty sheets in a blend cold sauce. I requested for additional sauce to salvage it and was given what seemed to be tomato paste. The salmon was a 2 bite filet on what looked like soup instead of mashed potatoes. The gnocchi was inedible as the texture was of mashed potatoes swimming in cold sauce. The fries were edible but tasted identical to the frozen fries you buy at a grocery store. Extremely disappointment with the prices attached to the mains. Hoping this review helps others in avoiding the mains and sticking to the burgers or sandwiches because this wouldve definitely saved us.

really good! ordered the italian sub and the brussel sprouts. my favourite thing about the order was the bun for the sandwich. it was really good and flakey almost like a croissant. the prices were really decent, and the restaurant was very clean and bright, i loved the modern aesthetic . the atmosphere was nice but they were in the middle of a shoot when we came in so the dining experience was a bit on the awkward side but understandable and i m happy they were able to seat us. the food looked a bit different online than it did in person but i still enjoyed it. it was lacking a bit in flavour but still very tasty. the brussel sprouts were good but the portion was small. overall i would come back to try more menu items, and i did enjoy the food i ordered.

Great food, really thoughtful. Though I d recommend they rebrand the mozzarella sticks as a croquette, because the cheesiness is so hard to replicate. That said, lovely staff, delicious food and well thought out menu. Great for vegans and the plant curious alike. Will be back for sure, glad to have another great plant based option in the neighborhood. Looks like some room to grow on decor but the seating is big/comfortable and the people watching out the windows is also great. Must-try! The Italian sub really hit the spot, and the garlic knot was incredible. Vegetarian options: It s all vegetarian!

Wow. I had the pleasure to eat at Stefano s. Order the Salmon. Tasted like salmon. Looked like salmon. Texture was like salmon. Highly recommend the salmon. The chocolate cake was excellent as well. Not heavy and couldn t tell that it was plant-based. Joel and Jennifer thank you for your attention to detail! Awesome service.

Great food, great atmosphere

My partner and I discovered your establishment at Vegfeast 2024 and were impressed by your house Italian sub, which prompted our visit to your establishment recently. Upon arrival, we were seated in a booth area with old food on the floor, hair on the table, and tight seating with unknown spills. After requesting a table move, we ordered lasagna, salmon beurre blanc, and a house sub, but waited nearly 45 minutes for our food. The only interactions we had were for water, which took an additional 5 minutes, and a brief update that our food was on the way just two minutes before it arrived. We were not informed of wait times when ordering, and despite the restaurant not being busy, another group of three who arrived after us received their food before us. The overall experience was disappointing due to poor communication and service. The lasagna, despite having ample sauce, was burnt on top, and the mashed potatoes served with the salmon beurre blanc were both watery and grainy. Although my partner left a generous tip, we regret making the long drive of five hours for such unsatisfactory treatment and will not be returning.

I took my family hear yesterday and everyone loved it. Only my sister and I are vegan but the other 4 members of my family really enjoyed their food. I especially love the eggplant parmesan sandwich and the mushroom one. The pasta was also sooooo good. A new fan favorite. The restaurant team was also so nice and helpful. We will definitely be coming back.

I ordered takeout and I got A few items, over all they were absolutely fantastic! When we arrived we were greeted with warmth and waited a few minutes for our food to be ready. The interior is beautiful! I can t wait to dine in! For food we got; 1. Mozerella sticks 4/5 I would say these were my least favourite item. The outside batter was nice and crispy but the cheese didn t do it for me. The spicy sugo was fantastic though! 2. Brussel sprouts 5/5 These were my favourite item! These were so incredibly flavourful and cooked to perfection! I wish I had gotten 2 orders! 3. Crinkle cut fries 5/5 Really solid fries that were salted perfectly. I would say I was not a fan of their garlic mayo. It reminded me of a tahini? It just wasn t for me. 4. Crispy maitake mushroom sandwich 5/5 This was such a unique and delicious burger! The crispy wasn t too oily, and the garlic toum/ mayo on this sandwich was amazing! I wish I had more of this sauce to dip my fries in! The cabbage and bun were also very well done. I ve never had a crispy chicken sandwich like this, it was so well thought out and executed! Overall such an amazing experience, I can t wait to try out some more menu items and cocktails!

Great service and delicious food

Great food. Very fast and friendly service. Ended up being $20 with tax and tip so wouldn t go all the time but I will be back soon for sure.

We ate here for dinner on Saturday, November 9th and we had such a good experience! The customer service was amazing and the food was soooo delicious we will be back and thank you to all the staff that worked on this night!

Had lunch here today with an old friend. We both had the featured special.. (couldnt resist)! Crispy Maitake Mushrooms Sandwich. Crunchy, tasty DELICIOUSNESS. The service was impeccable. The place itself is aesthetic, clean, super lovely. Very kind, friendly, fun staff. Highly recommend. Cant wait to go back.

Having been recently opened, they were full but we were lucky to still find a table at the bar. Cozy atmosphere with dim lights. Basic drinks menu and extensive food menu. The Brussel sprouts and the mushroom burger was bomb. I was not a big fan of the Rigatoni pasta with potato sauce (maybe it just did not sit right with me). The desserts were good. I will visit them again in a few months after they have settled.

Were working through the entire menu and have loved every dish so far. Highly recommend.

So let s discuss the Italian submarine sandwich. At first I thought it was a token meaty thing for my friends who refuse to eat vegetarian, kind of like the one veggie option on the meat menu. So my mind was blown when our lovely attentive kind servers told us that it s seitan. It tastes like the sub from the authentic Italian deli with all the spices you d expect turned up! I couldn t stop eating it. It s got a great balance of salty, sweet, creamy and crunchy. I am glad I live far away or I would be eating this impossibly delicious creation on repeat! We also had the maitake mushroom sandwich. Be prepared to unhinge your jaw! The only reason to put the sandwich down is so you can wipe your mouth and fingers from the juice if you care about that kind of thing. (Don t judge me!) Simply delicious mocktails too! The service at Stefano s is so warm and friendly that I want to bring everyone I know to experience it. Perfect experience. Thank you to everyone involved.

The deli sandwich with meats is one of the best sandwiches Ive ever had.

The most consistent and proper plant food joint! You can taste the real ingredients. Well worth the extra cost to know you are eating so clean. The Brussels are INSANE I could have had 5 orders. The Lasagna doesnt look like much but my gosh, every single bite is a flavour burst. Baby Gem Salad also delicious in every bite. The Yuzu Lime Fever Tree was perfectly refreshing after this meal Thank you for the care you put into our food

I am a carnivore and had reservations about a fake meat sandwich. Stefano s sub is one of the most delicious sandwiches i have ever tasted .the smash burger likewise was fantastic. Cant wait to be able to eat in house..in a few days!!! My sub pictured below..

Absolutely loved my visit to Stefanos Diner! This new gem on Dundas blew me away with its innovative vegan menu. The arancini was perfectly crispy on the outside with a rich, creamy filling that was out of this world. The tuna salad was a delightful surprise so flavorful and fresh, I didn t miss the real thing one bit! The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, making the experience feel like a cozy neighborhood spot. Special shoutout to our server, Carly, who was not only warm and attentive but also super knowledgeable about the menu. Cant wait to come back and explore more of their offerings!

I attended the Stefanos pop up at Gia and was totally blown away by the food. Everything was fantastic, really wonderful flavours and something to suit everyone. To my pleasant surprise the best thing was the vegan burger which is truly the best one I ve ever had! Don t skip the ice cream at the end. Can t wait to come back! Stefano Sundays is the best place to catch up with the girls! Their sandwiches are flavourful but also crispy, their saucy bolognese special the perfect comfort plate and their meat balls woah! Its a must try! Staff are great as well!
