Honestly I don’t understand the negative reviews of this place. I’ve been going here for years and the portions have always been massive and fresh. I feel there is slight inconsistency with the pricing but aside from that, the beef and chicken mix platter is amazing every time. Would recommend!
The beef Shawarma was quite delicious and crispy with a bit of a smokey taste
Wasn't very impressed with the quality, there was a LARGE pile of chicken just on the side waiting to be served. The chicken was not cooked fully because of this. Portions were small. Maybe I went on a bad day but must say I can't see myself returning.
Do not recommend eating at this restaurant as it is a scam. First of all, he charged the regular price. What I wanted was the special price combo. Then, when heated, it was cold and not very tasty. It is not recommended to dine there.☹️☹️☹️☹️☹️☹️☹️
Homeboy was aboot to close when my friends and I showed up. Ordered 4 beef shawarmas with hot sauce and it was 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥. Lots of beef. Lots of toppings. All four cost $45. And it was great. Perfect drunk snack while waiting for the GO train. Would go back
Really liked this place, but walked in today, it wasn’t very busy. Waited patiently to be acknowledged… Was ignored by both employees, not even a hi. Or i’ll be with you shortly, Ended up waiting so long decided to leave. Even helped the delivery person walking out the door. Ended up providing more service to them than they did to me!
One of the cleanest cleanest shwarma places in the city, THE MIXED SHWARMA IS INCREDIBLE. That first first bite was FIRE!!!
The restaurant is on the corner of main and Danforth. Quality of the sandwiches is excellent and the falafel is made fresh in front of you. Owner seems to be there often and makes sure that the service is great. Just tried their catering service for a meeting and the dishes were a crowd pleaser. Recommended for a great and affordable bite.
Good experience Parking: No parking Food : 5/5 |
My favourite shawarma in the GTA!
Worst customer service.
Food is very cheap quality Very bad manners with customers Food quality and price wise expensive. Please go to TwoBrothers shawarma best and delicious. In the image its the guy who s behavior is super bad
Sultan is the spot. Great customer service, they always remember my order and the food is always delicious, fresh and affordable.
really surprised me, i got a chicken wrap, really did not get much chicken, never had a chicken wrap with that much chicken and it cost me 9 dollars wow not going here anymore Food
guy was friendly and gave great portions on the beef platter.
Service was amazing. Ali did a great job! Food was tasty and he was very friendly.
Very good and cost effective, the chicken shawarma with the mango carrot juice they had was a very satisfying experience.
Do urself a favour and go down the street to Two Brothers Shawarma for better quality food and service
This spot is a must try when your In the area. Great customer sevice, and even better food. I got the chicken shawrama, and they are not shy with the amount of food. Everything was fresh.
Good prices, shawarma is 4/5. Service can terrible, depends who is working the counter
Do you guys boil your chicken? Tastes terrible.
I love the food in here and the owner is very friendly, always is a smile. Yoi get the food very fast as well
these people are scammers, all the prices on their bill boards are lies.
Order a platter and the guy gives you dry crusted chicken left out at room temperature. Salad was also sitting in some liquid at the bottom of a plastic container. Flavors are awful, spices taste really poorly made. Avoid at all cost
This is the 3rd time I have ordered by uber that this place has either screwed up an order or an item was missing.
Worst restaurant experience ever! First off, there s no respect for customers they actually told us to get the **** out. Second, they don t provide receipts unless you specifically ask for them. Third, the payment machine doesn t show the full price! A message directly to the owner: if you re aware of these issues, it s awful; if you re not, you need to check out your business because it s so bad.
What an abhorrent pitiful excuse for food! I wouldnt even feed my dog this food. The fries were soaked in oil and piss! It has some potential but I had to throw my meal out 4 bites in due to the condition of the fries. What a waste!
Best food for the best price, the mixed beef and chicken plate is something to behold. Highly recommend if you are trying to grab something delicious and quick. The service was amazing and the guy in the morning was very fast and efficient.
These guys are the best! I LOVE all the veggie options from the falafel wraps to the fresh lentil soup, hummus, pickled turnips & salads ready to take home. I also see them helping out hungry (unhoused) people because of the goodness in their hearts! Some of their customers also leave a paid meal for someone in need! Heros with hearts of gold! Dietary restrictions: Dairy free options including the garlic sauce! Wheelchair accessibility: It only has 4 tall stools for sitting at the window but room for a wheelchair to get in to order take away no problem!
Affordable and good shawarma
Employee was super rude and kept his headphones on while telling me he wouldnt sell me a side dish on its own.
Simple, fast, tasty falafel sandwiches. Get it with everything and hot sauce. Fresh and delicious. One of my favourite local spots. Check out their new sign.
Best falafels in East York, hands down. Don t bother going anywhere else.
One of the best Shawarmas I have had in Toronto ! The taste, the amount of meat chunks are really good! And its also cheaper than a lot of places, I love their Shawarma... Definitely Recommend to go there.
A busy little corner shop with excellent food. The wraps, plates, Soups... all excellent! They have a pay it forward board, helping out the community. If you can please pay it forward and add a ticket to their board Food
Why do they still have the Family Special in the menu if they are not honoring it anymore????
Went in to just have 2 falafel sandwiches and a juice. Came out feeling ripped off massively. Totally understand why now a good chunk of there menus prices are covered by tape lol they dont want u to see the prices ur paying for for things lol. 16 bucks for 2 sandwiches (8 bucks for a semi small sandwich per) and 3 to 4 bucks for a small bottle of juice. The whole meal just for those 3 was essential 20 bucks. Even tho the service was friendly and mostly fast and a great location not the best bang for ur buck. Best avoid if u dont wanna pay a arm and a leg for food.
DISGUSTING AND DIRTY PLACE
This was my first time stopping in and I am so glad that I did. I was in a rush and only ordered a lentil soup. Soup was very flavorful and I was not disappointed. Different levels of flavour with every spoonful. I will definitely be coming by again. Owner was very polite and respectful towards me which made the experience worth it. I wish that I could give 100 start but I cant. Stop in for yourself and try it as well.
Very bad experience.. I bought few shwarmas chiken and beef the guy serve very no experience at all and so arrogant even place wrong order I asked beef but after wrapping change it to chiken in my bag.. Will never come back again to this place.
Chicken shawarma was meh at best. Meat was dry (is shwarma supposed to be crunchy?), clearly had been sitting there, definitely not cut fresh off the skewer. Also, the guy dipped one end of it in sauce to toast up the end, barely even touched it to the pan. Wrap was as white as I am. I used to come here quite frequently. This isnt the first time Im disappointed in recent visits, but it sure will be the last. Wont be back.
It is a good deal for fresh food. But different cashier charge different price or give less than what you pay.
Great chicken shawarma sandwich, I drive across town to eat there since I dont live close anymore.
Best shawarma in the world.
paid 17$ for the chicken shawarma meal when the price says 14.19 on menu. Was not given pita bread with my meal. Wont be back
the best shawarma in town with the head chef fadi
Great chicken that actually tastes fresh. Defiantly a go-to
Food is nothing special honestly. And the employees are rude. Not the cleanest joint either
Food is good and quick service. It s a take out fast food place.
Local kind of place...tasty food options. easy on pocket... Food : 4/5
Worst place to have a shwarma wrap, both in customer service as well as food service.
Poor service. Called them because delivery was short on the order and never bothered to respond. Ordered a $14 meal and never received it.
Not sure whats happened there in the last while but the quality isnt the same as it used to be. When we order from them through Door Dash, they dont follow instructions, and items are missing. What is going on? They used to be fantastic.
Have been a regular at this place cause of the taste, but lately this place has gone down interms of quality and service. The new guy they have just doesn t give the proper quantity in your dish, doesn t follow any instructions when you order thru DoorDash and worst of all, items are missing from your order. Truly Disappointing!!!
From quality to quantity, the smile served alongside the plethora of dishes here bring all into full circle. Recommending: Veggie Plate Vegetarian options: Great for Vegans or Vegetarians.
Sultan Shawarma is an exceptional shawarma spot that truly deserves five stars. Their perfectly seasoned and tender shawarmas, along with a welcoming ambiance and friendly service, make it a must-visit for shawarma enthusiasts. Dont miss out on this royal culinary experience!
An incredible restaurant
Dirty, disgusting and Ive found hair in my food.
I never give a bad review! But this has to be it. The food was absolutely pathetic! We discounted the behaviour of the server - disrespectful, the food was prepared in such hurry even though there were zero customers apart from us, did not ask us our preference, and clearly did not put in what we had asked for. We ignored all of this and hope that the food tasted decent. It was really horrible - the vegies were stale, the chicken was smelling, and I really dont know about the sauses he added because it was too fast!
The worst shawarma I have ever had!!. Im so mad at this place because the server has the worst attitude and the veggies or the chicken, something was stale. Wasted $19.50 and would give negative 5 stars to this place. Dont understand why people have given good ratings to this place. Its not even about the taste but something about stale food being served irks me since you have to throw it away.
DO not go here. The chicken was the worst shawarma chicken i have ever had- hard, old, over cooked; severely so. I went back with the chicken shawarma to show him; i did not want my money returned; simply just to tell him; the young person was dismissive .
best Falafel Ive ever tasted
The best falefal ever and kind owners!
Wheelchair accessibility: Wheelchair accessibility is there . Recommended dishes
Ate falalfal, found tasty, will visit again Parking: Exactly at intersection so hard to find parking Food : 5/5 |
Horrible! There was ZERO effort into making the shawarma. It wasnt even warm. I would not recommend this place. Go a few blocks up to Greektown and get a good one.
This is arguably one of the best shawarma places on the east end. Food is terrific, the spice is actually hot, the tahini is actually creamy, Portions are ample. The owners are extremely friendly and very generous to the local community. Fantastic!
Horrible customer service. Disrespectful and Borderline racist from the East Indian attendant. DO NOT go to this store after 4pm.
Amazing service and great food! Their falafel wrap is to die for! :)
Prices dont reflect the quality and the amount of food you get. Used to be so much better which is why I am changing my review. They skimp you on the meats. Portion are smaller yet the prices have gone up. Its better if you go to ali baba for a shawarma instead
Best Felafels in the city and best service
used to go here all the time back in the day man it has gone downhill... ordered chicken shawarma plate and got charged 17 even tho menu says 14 but more important the guy working there gave me all old dry hard pices of chicken it was so bad couldnt eat it i dont know how or why anyone would want to eat here now . 2nd time i gave u guys a chance recently and both were bad experiences .There are better options outthere guys
Amazing takeout hummus. Best I ve ever had.
Sever is rude. Seems to be a consistent thing (not just me).
This place is great to stop in going to and from the Go station for a quick bite! I really love their Falafel wraps.
Ive been eating here since moving to the area 15 years ago. Best falafel in the area. Always made fresh, clean store recently updated with new counters and a coat of paint. Great food and service
Ive been go in ng here for years!! Amazing staff and perfect shawarma, way better than osmos
The rice available is a great option. My son is a fan of the rice from this place. Over the weekends we normally have it from here. The combo pack is worth the money.
Use to really like this place, not only do they almost always fall apart, the chicken is dry with hard parts in it my kid asked if it was bacon.
Nice place. The foods are really good
One of the best shawarmas I have ever had. Very friendly service. I would rate it 6 stars if I could. 100% recommended!
The Falafel at Sultan is not bad. I appreciate that they make the Falafel at the time of ordering, most times. All the ingredients are fresh, and I like the mixed veggies that they sell. Easy access as it is located 50 feet away from Main Street Station.
Customer Service felt rushed and there was no one in line behind me. The Service rep told me the charge was $7.90, I tried paying cash but he said he had no change for $100 bill, so I tapped my credit card and took a receipt. He ended up charging me $8.15 without explanation or telling me it would increase with cc. The food wasnt that great, very dry.
The food is good and the owner works his butt off to serve the customers.
Worst middle eastern food ever avoid this place . Not only was there hair in my chicken shawarma plate which was so disgusting that I had to throw it out , waste of money! I also bought chicken fries and the chicken is so undercooked and vegetables don t even taste fresh and disgusting. What a waste of 31 dollars! If I could give 0 stars I would worst place ever . I felt sick after eating
Have been coming here for years! Best food best people! Delicious take out and fresh! Vegetarian friendly !!! Definitely drop your other spot and come here !
we go there over 10 years. whole family enjoy!
The guy was on break with a close sign on the door it s 2 PM unacceptable
Grabbed a chicken wrap, without asking me the guy just dumped all the ingredients he could think of and handed me the sandwich. He didn t even ask if i wanted radish and pickles in my wrap. There was NO hint of garlic sauce in the wrap. He even put a HOT sauce inside conveniently. Regardless, the wrap is too sour. Measly little chicken meat pieces with a bunch of pickles inside. How stupid. Spend your money elsewhere.
The pita wrap was supermarket bought. tasted stale.
Delicious chicken shawarma. Great price. Efficient service.
This place has been here like for ever. The staff is nice and they are very pleasant. The shawarma taste really good. And it is an excellent size. Very fresh, nice and tasty.
The best shawerma sandwich I had in long time, I wish it was closer to stop by and have all what they on the menu. After 4hours and having the sandwich, I still feel the flavor and wish I had another one
If only the owner would allow the servers to make the wraps as per customer choices instead of asking after the ingredient or sauce has already been put on. Ive also noticed that unless you ask for more of whats is going into a shawarma, meal etc, you get a much smaller amount than in the past. If you want less iceburg lettuce filler and more flavourful ingredients, they charge you. Not good.
The taste is good, they also have good a package for 5 people, the falafel is my favorite. There is not much space for dine in, most people order takeout. No parking close to the place, you will need to find a place to park around the block
Excellent food for a good price! Staff always try to fill the container with a lot of food
Best shawarma Ive ever had, have been here probably 100 times! Better than Ali Baba and Osmos
Delicious. I love this place. Great prices, amazing food, and friendly staff. Consistently awesome. I cant help but impulse-buy a bunch of sides when I just stop in for a shawarma, haha!
Unprofessional staff
Great food.
I ordered vegetables and was not bad. They even gave me with out limit and one pita bread.
The staff is worst...I just want to tell him that what I don t need he start yelling at me...so bad behaviour with customers..old staff is very friendly and good but new staff is so rude
Nice customer service
Great place, great price....their falafel was great and yummy... will visit again
Totally unacceptable restaurant in our neighbourhood. Disgusting their food taste. Please, be aware before ordering.
Shawarma is tasty and customer service is great. 2 things needed for a successful restaurant.
First time here and its was a very good experience, sadly I didnt get the guys name that was working but we chatted while he prepared my food . Incredibly nice and would come back for him again !
I highly recommend their Falafel plate. Its so fresh and the portion is generous. Their chicken shawarma is also tender and juicy. I typically order through UberEats, and they push out their orders VERY quickly. I order at least once a week and am never disappointed.
One of my fave places for shawarma
Excellent food, made fresh by a very friendly staff...we are lucky on the danforth to have such a fantastic neighborhood spot...if you havent tried it yet ...do yourself a favour and step inside ...
The best and only place to go its always perfect
As a vegetarian I can only attest to the taste of the veggie platter, the falafel platter, and the falafel wrap. After a long day of work I know I can always get a tasty meal if cooking my own food feels like too much of a slog.
The Best Authentic Shawarma in the East End 10/10
Placed an order from here tonight for one beef plate and one chicken plate, with a bottle of sprite. Cant even express how insanely disappointed I am to not only receive the bottle of pop, but to not receive the chicken plate I ordered. They gave me 2 beef plates, and they both had toppings I specifically did not want on it. Thanks for screwing up my dinner. Edit: there was a hair in my partners beef plate.
Went to pick an order. The merchant was so rude to me. He does not know how to behave with customers. It was like someone was forcing him to do his work.
I love the people there, hard working, and great food. I went there for years: Love it best shawarma in town so far!
Good service, great food
Great place to come for late night take out. The guys that work he are super friendly! The portions are huge, and the price is great! Definitely recommend to come in for a quick bite!
Very bad serving and gesture. The shawarma maker was wearing earphones and served the worst he could. Didnt even bother to hear our instructions.
always a great place to stop by if your hungry and on the go, good food, and great staff
I visit this place often for Chicken Shawarma. Although it isnt the only shawarma place nearby, it is extremely accessible because of its proximity to the TTC Subway (Main Street Station) and GO train (Danforth GO). Their chicken shawarma is so popular that it is extremely common to pop in on your way home from work and the 5 people before or after you in line will be ordering the same thing. I also love their home made hummus and chickpea salads. Theyre better than any other option Ive bought from a store. They also have a pay it forward program where you can buy something and someone less fortunate can go in and get it for free.
Amazing Shawermah
Delicious
Great late night food. Their pickles are amazing. I eat here a couple of times a month!
Falafels were small and dry, decent pricing but not great on taste.
Just steps from the Main Street subway or the Danforth GO, Sultan serves up enormous falafel, beef or chicken shawarma combos that are piled high with fresh salads and other flavorful toppings.
the location and the food is great
Been coming here since they opened. Great falafel, great prices. Consistant and the guys are awesome.
Very very bad service and the workers act stupid :(
Ive been coming here for years and never been disappointed. The food is always fresh and amazing as well as the workers have a great attitude and are always trying to make the experience quick & pleasurable
Love this place. Their platters cost $13 and are so huge that I get two meals from it. Great value and very quick service. Of course, food is great too!
Very small Mediterranean food restaurant. The food is good and the prices are very reasonable. They do have a few tables to resemble a small dining area but it is mainly a takeaway place. Shawarma sandwiches taste good, Potatoes and hummus plates are good too. the sell Middle Eastern sweets but the quality is so so. Over all good place to grab a bite
Been coming here for years,I am from Scarborough, always worth the trek
We have ordered 2 shawarma but completely useless. Personally will not suggest .
The chicken shawarma wrap at 6.40 is really a steal. Moreover, the taste is 10/10. The downside is that the pitas are dry and the employee with a beard doesnt wear a mask and treat customers the way he is supposed to.
First time trying very tasty, close walking from bus terminal
I got the shawarma and decided to make it a combo. Should have just got the sandwich. It was more than big enough to fill me. Now I m chippin away at the potatoes slowly. Good price for good portions!
They serve great food!! worst customer service. Super Rude.
Delicious taste, yummy taste, good taste.
I know the owner but staff hired was not upto the level of Sultan shawarma taste, guy need training how to deal with people
I ve tried the chicken shawarma with fries, taste so good
Excellent food but staff is not too smart. After some problems with the speed of delivery, they actually told me dont come back. All I said was to use common sense and cash for the food as soon as its prepared. I missed my bus due to this slow service taking all the orders and then cashing, and had to bring cold food to my boys. Food is still great but exercise some common sense when dealing with customers.
Absolutely delicious, what can you ask more than a platting full of shawarma poutine or rice with some chicken and basically everything you want ! I really enjoy it, prices are definitely good for the amount of food and it is in walking distance from Main Street station.
Great food and good prices too.
Quick and tasty!
I am very generous with reviews but let me tell you, I couldnt even finish my food here. It was DISGUSTING, bordering on inedible... everything was rotten...the meat and at least one of the veggies tasted like it had gone bad. Not to mention it was overpriced. The customer service was fine to me, even though others seemed to have an issue with it. Very very dissapointed!! Please dont eat here. You deserve better. $15 for a stale plate of food, no thanks.
Great food great service no seating
Awesome for a quick bite, Falafel is fresh and delicious, fried to order, cant beat that. Its inexpensive, and delicious, beats going to subway or something processed.
Good for take away... pricing is bit high comparing the portion but thats my view only.
The worst place Ive seen ever I eat yesterday at 11 am was bad food n the guy he was mean dealing
Chicken shwarma was tasty and filling
I went today around 12 noon. Price of 2 Chicken Shawarma is $ 10.26 plus Tax ( which is $ 11.59), printed in the store menu.. . The guy charged me $ 13 .. I realized every day they do the same. I have been buying food from them at least 5-6 times a month. They are unethical . Next Time I will make a video recording and upload to social media
Amazing falafel at decent price
Convenient on the way to and from Danforth GO station. Very tasty food and nice staff.
They have awesome sandwiches
Great food!
Such a large quantity of food, and always extremely fresh and tasty
Good place for a quick bite
Amazing
My go to spot for shawarma and falafel! The best Ive ever had.
Best foods
Place is ok would not travel for this food but good if your in the area
They always have amazing food and the customer service is always great! Love this place!!
I enjoy this pllace during the day, at night? Away from the owners tutelage?! A whole new nall game. NOTHING fresh, BRUTAL customer service, honestly like Im being bullied. Wont be back. Neither will my 20 employees for lunch being local construction workers.
This is the worst place ever!!! I got a Shawarma and afterwards I got very sick to my stomach. I would not advise anyone to go here.
the servers are rude. quality of shawarma is mediocre at best. i am always disappointed whenever i go there. asking for extra sauce is always so hard and always end up arguing with them just for the sauce. . i would eat here 3x a week if it were not for the bad service. the guy in the counter is always rude most of the time i go there. maybe out of 10 visits, 8 of them are rude service. so i decided not to go there anymore since osmows and 2brothers shawarma opened. i would rather walk an extra 5 mins to go omows or 2 brothers shawarma and get great food and great service rather than the rude guys at sultan shawarma.
Big lamb shank!!! Delicious!!
