347 Danforth Ave, Toronto, ON M4K 1N7, Canada
Ever evolving menu of fresh local food, including amazing burgers, steaks, oysters, drummies and all the drinks including craft beer and cocktails.
Popped into the Auld after a show at the Danforth Music Hall. So glad to have found this place. I love when you randomly find a spot and it instantly becomes a fave. Awesome atmosphere, fantastic food and a variety of beer on tap & drinks to choose from. There were three great servers that checked in on my friend and I consistently to make sure our food was good and drinks were filled. Looking forward to going back.
All 4 people in our group(including a 5 year old) got food poisoning as a result of our meal of burgers, mussels and salad. Stay away from his place unless you want a day of vomiting and diarrhea.
Excellent spot, food was superb. Oysters were perfect as well.
I loved the service and the atmosphere, but I was expecting more of the food. My burguer was ok, but I couldn't taste the bacon, the fries was rustic and clearly homemade, but it was too dark. My husband asked for fish and chips, same dark fries, he loves the home sauce. Also, something I couldn't understand. They have a pork as sign at entrance, but they don't have any pork on the menu.
Easily found seating for 6 despite it being a weekend visit. Wait staff were attentive and friendly. Had the Flat Iron Steak and Frites which was delicious. Vegetables were sautéed in butter. Steak was cooked the way I ordered. Came with an assortment of sauces. Pricing is what you would expect for a pub meal. Included are also photos of the Baby Back Ribs, Jerk Chicken Tacos, and the special: Buffalo sandwich. The only downside is the lighting. It was incredibly dark with one small table lamp illuminating the entire table. It was quite the challenge to read the menu. Was finally forced to use my phone flashlight.
Mondays $1 buck a shuck oysters. Came here for a concert. Ordered a dozen oysters, the burrata salad and the burger. Burrata salad had good elements but had a lot of liquid at the bottom diluting the taste of the balsamic reduction. I liked that the toasted bread wasn’t hard and crunchy, it was lightly toasted and still soft on the inside. The beef brisket burger was good, but the patty needed more salt. The fries were all soggy, not crispy. :( Service was excellent, the servers worked as a team to keep service going. The sour beer they had in cans (it was lime something) was excellent. Mobility: washrooms are on the main floor, towards the back of the restaurant, beyond the kitchen pass window.
Amazing neighborhood bar with dependable food and service. The food selection and quality is above a normal bar so this is often a local go to for people want a comfortable atmosphere and good food and drinks. If you're in the neighborhood, highly recommend.
This pub doesn’t look like anything special from the outside, but never judge a book by it’s cover. The staff are friendly, service is efficient and the food was great. The fish and chips were the best fish and chips I’ve found in Toronto. The tartar sauce was a tad spicy and flavourful. The batter was not over done and the oil was clearly fresh. The burger was also fantastic, and a definite recommendation!
Craft beer selection is decent but that s about it. Waited over 30 min for a basic poutine. The fries were soft. Seemed like they were blanched but not fully cooked. (The poutine down the street at the Edmund Burke is much better and cheaper). There was no toilet paper in the bathroom. The back door was wide open allowing who knows what pests in. To top it off my last sip of my beer had some sort of citrus in the glass from someone else s drink. The bartender suggested it might have been from my poutine (it 100% was not but thanks for blaming the customer). This restaurant was so much better two owners ago pre-pandemic. It s a shame it s gone so down hill. I likely won t be back.
HIGHLY recommend coming here for buck a shuck. The oysters are the biggest I ve ever had as far as buck a shuck goes! The fries are also excellent! Jerk Chicken tacos were very good!
Excellent neighbourhood spot! Delicious food with great service. Also, Angelina s playlist was great! Food : 5/5
Great food, warm service and wonderful atmosphere. We had oysters and steak. Fantastic!
Visited here yesterday and had the special which was the steak sandwich and fries. Delicious! The lady that served us was very nice and friendly as well. Will definitely be back.
We came here at 5pm with the intention to have one drink. Well, we ended up staying 4 hours having items from their very cool menu. Great service and tasty food!! Thank you for fun time at your place
Exceptional service and food. Good options for kids meals - pasta, burger, chicken fingers
Great food, great service, great vibes. The server that has a buzzed head, I forget her name, she made me feel so welcomed! Will come back again!
fun atmosphere & friendly clientele - our server Bree was a big highlight! 10/10 would come back for her Food
Came in for nachos and beers and was blown away by the quality size and service. Will definitely be returning.
This place has delicous French onion soup!
Amazing everything! Food, service, and drinks! They serve great local beers. Food is amazing. Staff is the best. My new go-to!! Food
Angelina and her co-workers slay. Went on Monday for buck-a-shuck oysters and they delish. Will definitely return. <3
Ordered mussels and the steak tacos and they were awesome. Even ordered the steak tacos, medium rare, and they came that way!
This place changed owners a while ago and it s just not the same. I keep going back and it s good, but the prices are too high for what it is.
This place is such a gem. Amazing fresh food and the lighting /atmosphere is so soothing and cozy. The ribs & fish and chips were fantastic, I love coming here I wish it opened earlier in the day!
I dream about the burgers here! I only wish they had a fireplace to make it more warm and cosy.
Great little place to meet up and chat. Staff is always upbeat and friendly. Small patio for when the weather gets warmer. $1 oysters on most Mondays.. can t go wrong!
One of my regular spots on the Danforth. Very lovely spot with kind staff and good food but just an FYI that this guy on the left approached me tonight saying isn t this a good photo that was of me and then refused to delete it after being told how creepy it was. Again, staff are great. This guy just shouldn t be allowed back. He kept talking about me and how he d post my photo everywhere after politely being told to delete it so yeah, I did the same to him. Never met him in my life.
Quite simply the best pub in the city. The staff are amazing, the food exquisite with a friendly lively atmosphere.
Got a burger for takeout. One of the best burgers I ever had. Delicious
Great atmosphere, great food and great drink!
My husband was desperately craving fish and chips today so we thought we d stop by for the first time since the reopening. We made the right choice! The fish and chips were some of the best we d ever had and the drink selection was incredible. They even had a really rare seltzer that I love which is great because as a non-beer drinking my choices are usually limited. My husband as an avid beer drinker was pleased with the beer selection as well. Our server was super friendly and the prices were reasonable, especially considering the quality. Can t wait to come back!
Charming little pub. Friendly staff.
Such a great spot for good food, great conversations, and just an amazing time. Service was so friendly and quick (thanks Claire!), fries were piping hot, and their signature burger was to die for. Theres a wide variety of drink options, and the rotating tap always has something interesting to try. And hats off to the new owners for maintaining that perfect dark and moody, yet cozy atmosphere while completing the recent renovations.
Great service, amazing food. Was shocked by how good the mushroom fettuccine was. Everyone in our party of 6 enjoyed everything, and the service was excellent - highly recommend!
We have had a number of special occasion events at this wonderful local. The staff, the food, and the ambiance are friendly, delicious and comfortable. Highly recommend.
When my husband and I heard this beloved pub wed enjoyed so much was under new ownership, we feared wed encounter a decline in quality, the next time we spent an evening there. That evening was last night--and to our great relief, the experience was absolutely stellar. The ambience remains cozy and classy; the food remains excellent. The service was particularly excellent: Ren was consistently attentive and delightfully engaging. A big thank you to her and everyone else on the new (to us) Auld Spot team!
Delicious cocktails, a great selection of beers, vegan and beef burgers that were scrumptious and cooked to perfection, lovely rosemary fries made for a great meal at the auld Danforth favourite.
Great quality food and top tier service
Popped in for a quick drink before a Show, fantastic service
Cozy atmosphere, excellent burger (pulled pork was delicious) and extremely warm and friendly employees
Great food
Such a great pub for a drink and a catch up. The bartender was really lovely and professional. Would definitely come back
Edited- the new owners (happened several months ago) are amazing and know what they are doing. Top quality food and service has returned, my fave place to go! Original review: It kind of pains me to write this. The auldspot used to be my absolute favourite place to go, and I had hoped after new ownership change that the food at least would stay the same. Especially since apparently mostly the kitchen staff is the same. I went a few days ago and on the good side the service was exceptional, very attentive. I ordered the Mac and cheese, my fave dish, and they have changed it- its a different noodle now, no longer spiral doesnt hold the sauce the same way, and it also used to be served in a mini casserole dish with a yummy crunchy and cheesy top and now its just in a wide dish, arrived kinda dried, like it had been in the oven too long. no crispy top. The lardons were dried out didnt have the same juicy flavour they used to. It just seems like they are cutting corners with their ingredients and I am disappointed they have messed with the original favourite dishes. If youre reading this, please re instate the original Mac and cheese, then maybe Ill come back, thanks
Atmosphere wonderful but food disappointing
Black angus steak, shrimp tempura were just amazing!! We really enjoy the food, drink and friendly service!
Both lamb chop and aged rib eye are great. Lamb chop is rich and juicy. Rib eye is tender and goes really well with the sauce. Staff is friendly and nice. There is also game machine inside and impressive interior decoration. A nice place to go for delicious food and nice bar experience.
The new chef has done a great job revamping the menu! Love a good burger that s cooked to the perfect medium rare. Good beer selection on tap with friendly service. Entrees came out in record time which is a bonus! Will be back again and again.
Incredibly unprofessional.
Had heard good reviews for a while and finally made it by for drinks this week and I was not disappointed. Ashley was attentive and her cocktails were amazing. Get her to make you a Manhattan, you wont be disappointed.
Sadly disappointed. Chicken on my salad was so overpowered with sage it was inedible. Second glass of wine was not the same as the first. Why? If it had been my first I still would not have enjoyed it. Stick to the fish and chips and you ll be fine. Sorry to our server but when I was a server our objective was to satisfy our customers It s a new world, I know.
We had arranged for a Celebration of Life this past Saturday (July 8th) and I cant say enough about our Host, Christine, who was most accommodating, empathic and discreet. I had previously arranged this event some weeks before, and the day before, Christine called to ask if we had a musical Playlist. The thought hadnt occurred to me, and I expressed my gratitude that she had indeed thought of it. Tom the chef came through as advertised with banger food, that was delivered in a timely manner. All of the guests felt relaxed, raved about the food and service, and many said they will return, under less somber circumstances. Thanks again to Christine, Tom, and a shout out to Sarah!
This place has the best servers. So friendly and attentive. Casual place. We just had a drink but will be back for food because the service was so awesome!
Nice place
First visit since pandemic. Bit noisy; hard to chat with my friend; 85 dBA left me with a headache. Food very good. Service very good.
One of the best restaurants on the danforth! Perfect spot to enjoy a crisp pint on the patio with tasty food. Christine, one of the owners I believe, is super accommodating, hilarious and so thoughtful in serving. 10/10 best pub on the danforth!
Awesome spot, new ownership and the indoor space is beautiful. Looks like they spent a lot of $ on the renovation. I like the food too, you can tell everything is fresh. Will definitely be coming back. Try the crème brûlée!
So warm and welcoming . We loved the atmosphere and the drinks and food .
Calamari was really good
the music is too loud, you cant even hear yourself think, please turn it down or turn it off !!!
Loved the vibe and the food, it was both delicious and proper size. The oyster was also great. The beer menu could have been more varied. Parking: There are some parking lots available 5 minutes away.
Blown away by how good the food was, plus the great service and really cool vibe makes this a must visit on the Danforth!!!! Went back again in August, and had another five star meal accompanied by a great selection of domestic and craft beers. It Hit the Spot (pun intended)!!!!! Vegetarian options: Plenty of amazing Gluten free and Vegan options Dietary restrictions: Plenty of amazing Gluten free and Vegan options
Had an amazing time here. Real pub feel with great friendly staff. Food was very good! Had the oysters and fish & chips. Great local beer on tap as well. Will be back very soon.
Love everything about this place. Best Caesar salad Ive ever had, plus the queso and fries are unbelievable.
For me the best pub for food and drink in the neighbourhood. Excellent service and great atmosphere to match the great food. UPDATE: My original review was from some years ago and Auld Spot changed owners and chefs a few times in the years since. It is now back as my favourite place to visit in the area. The new owners, who also own the excellent Sheri Punjab next door, have turned the place around. It has been tastefully updated and the menu is awesome! The mahi mahi and fish and chips are two highlights. The staff are amazing too.
First time there and the service was so great, I ve returned a number of times and I m trying every item on the menu.. My first time I had the ribs, fall off the bones, super juicy ribs.. My mouth is watering just writing this review right now and rethinking about the food.. Did I mention the TACOS
MUSIC TOO LOUD
Its our Rugby Bar for the day, everyone is welcome as part of the family. Thats the ambient
Slowest service in a while, would not recommend, servers actively ignore you on weekday evenings despite knowing full well you are there.
Christine was our server and she was Great! When you go to a pub, yeah I want to feel like you re at home and she really did that for us. We were able to have a few drinks and my brother and I, and I enjoyed some of the best calamari we ve had in years. Thanks a lot Christie . We really appreciate it.
Super friendly staff. Perosonable and attentive. Great recommendations. Restaurant is very dark. Food
Bar tender was great! Cider was good Service was quick Service
Food is amazing, drinks are great, and most importantly, Christine is one of the best servers in the business. Cant recommend enough.
Outstanding service. I can t say enough about my evening on Monday. My friend and I arrived at 6:30. The atmosphere from the lighting, to the music and decor was perfect. Our server was Christine (my friend and I have also worked in the hospitality industry for over 30 years). Christine was attentive, friendly and an obvious professional in the biz. I could go on about all of the little things that she did well, but we ll be here forever so I ll get to the point lol. I have a disease (Diverticulitis) . I can basically eat most things, just not together. Carbs and proteins separately. It s always pain when dining out because even sauces etc., get complicated. Always embarrassing to request modifications. I ordered the fish but needed to swap some carbs with green veg. I noticed another dish had spinach so I requested that with a hand full of baby greens. After discussing my embarrassing dietary issues, Christine of course was more than accommodating. There was zero note of irritation on her part at all. Believe me, it s unfortunate that many servers are bothered by simple accommodation of these sorts. Well, I guess she felt I was trying to make it easy for them, and wanted me to have exactly what I wanted. So although I was extremely happy with my simple substitutions, she brought out the chef Tommy to offer me countless options and ways to prepare my sides!!!!! Anyone can deliver plates. True hospitality professionals go a step beyond. The food was spectacular for the both of us. I will be recommending The Auld Spot to anyone who will listen. Vegetarian options: See review Dietary restrictions: See review
The brisket burger is so good. Has a good selection of drinks as well! Enjoyed our time here.
The waiter was very courteous. Nice and cozy atmosphere. Will definitely go again.
Auld Spot is a great place to hang - amazing staff and Christines playlists are of the hook! Disco? RnB? 90s Grunge? All happening here! And it goes without saying the food and staff are great!
I hate to leave two star review because the food was actually fine (not great, but definitely fine), but the last time I was there with my date, the tables were just WAY too close together. WAY too close. And I complained about this to the staff, but only god dismissive replies. Yes, its the Danforth and real estate is expensive, but space between tables is paramount. I dont go to places with communal tables for this reason. Also, reading some of the 1-star reviews here, the person who write the replies should probably take under the consideration the old maxim the customer is always right. Having Toronto Attitude is one thing, but being rude is completely another.
I liked everything about it. The gallery wall. The atmosphere. The menu. The tunes that were playing. All of it was proper.
Good: food, atmosphere, staff. Bad: the bar is extremely uncomfortable. Knees pushed against the bars when trying to lean over to eat or drink. So basically.... Its great. But dont sit at the bar.
Obadiah and the team are simply amazing. Great vibe, great lighting, yummy food and fabulous service!
had a superb meal here - not too crowded on a Monday - felt very safe - Jesse the waiter was awesome, the chef came out to ensure my friend with food sensitivities were met perfectly, music was spot on. Looking forward to going back soon!
Everything was great!!! Food, Beer, Atmosphere, Service.
Great oysters!
Nice atmosphere, good service, good vibe, but $11/$12 pints of beer is just crazy. I know weve all been hit hard by the pandemic and stuff and I love to support local, but its just hard to justify coming here for drinks when you can get the same beer at many places nearby for like $3 cheaper. You can also get a $9 house lager pint but still, thats too much.
The Auld Spots has the best staff ever ! Very warm and helpful ! Jesse and Jack were great. I would improve on the wine selection, the 2 white ones by the glass are both fruity. And a larger menu would be nice, but everything is delicious! But I recommend the place for the staff and the nice athmosphere and deco !
Great place to have some food or grab a pint.
Loved the Mac and cheese + lobster. Amazing burger.
Ok, hold up, this pub has legit good food. Grading on a curve or not, we really enjoyed our meal. - Ploughman: A shareable dish with 3 types of meat (that day it was duck prosciutto, sausage and ham), 2 types of cheese (blue and cheddar), veggie scotch egg, jams (prune), house pickles, and grilled bread. So yeah, hearty. Standouts were the veggie scotch egg (interesting taste), sausage (properly smoky), and the prune jam (really fresh). Not a fan of the duck prosciutto, though kudos for trying to elevste the dish. - Salmon Eggs Benny: Generous serving of salmon (which was fresh enough), benny done well (chewy but not overly so), spinach a bit limp, good cut on the fries. We added a side aioli to dip the fries in. - Pecan Pie with Toffee Icecream: Homemade icecream was not overly sweet, so it complemented the pie well. Super generous amount of pecan. The star to me was the crust, which they infused heavily with cinnamon. Food was a bit pricey, but isnt everything these days? Obediah (whos the chef but also served us) has a great spirit to him. The pub itself is ultra British looking and has a laid back vibe. Will be back to try their hot honey wings and buck-a-shuck on Tuesdays!
Dropped by the Auld Spot pub on a Sunday night on a long weekend. The place was relatively quiet, but they were still shucking and serving their trademark oysters (discounted on Tuesdays). Ive previously had the pulled lamb sandwich, which was tasty, but tonight was about having either a pint or a nice cocktail. Nice selection of beers and atmosphere was comfy. This time around enjoyed a refreshing old fashioned. Will be back.
Always great food to be found here with friendly service!
The Auld Spot has finally re-opened under new management and it is fantastic!! Decor and seating have been tastefully updated; the staff were friendly and very attentive; most importantly the food was phenomenal. We had oysters, polenta fries, beet salad, and burgers. The oysters are a steal so have some before your meal. The burger really blew my mind. I was expecting your standard pub burger, but this one was on another level. It was juicy and flavourful with a healthy serving of crispy fries and some kind of mildly spicy dipping sauce. Dont hesitate, check it out!
The new Auld Spot didn t disappoint. New owners have stepped up the menu. Food is at a best in Toronto level, yet this is still a neighbourhood pub at its core. They ve given the place a remarkable facelift and the staff made us feel at home. It was busy (sat. night), but didn t feel crowded, or rushed. Food prices are reasonable for the quality and quality IMO, and they say everything is made in-house. I ll be back!
Wandered in on a Wednesday night since I was in the neighbourhood. So impressed - super cozy British isles country house vibe, great music, awesome food, solid beer list. We had the oysters (fresh and delicious) and house made chips (well seasoned with a touch of kick). Great service. Will be back for a meal next time!
Great to have it back - new menu - food was excellent.
Great burger. Lovely atmosphere and service.
Amazing food and ambience! Must visit!
So lovely to see The Auld Spot back open! Had a great time here a couple weeks ago on a Monday. The staff was incredibly friendly. Lots of gluten free options on the menu as well, which is always a plus. Ordered the Wholesome Root Vegetable Burger, with a gluten free bun. Will most definitely be back. Vegetarian options: vegetable burger Dietary restrictions: gluten-free bun
Great drink menu, amazing food! Everything tasted so fresh. Prices are amazing too;
1000% best bar in the city always supporting every one in the danforth also best pup food around
My dear friend and I used to frequent the Auld Spot on the regular. Unfortunately today will be the last time. We were not given water even when we asked a few times. We asked for a gin smash cocktail and were given a sub par gin and sparkling water that cost $14. The tacos were mediocre at best and the chicken Ceasar salad could have been made by myself for a quarter of the price ($20 with chicken). Needless to say the Auld Spot has left us with everything to be desired.
This spot is awesome!! My new fave hangout. We were served by Jesse, who is fantastic!!! Based on this we plan to come back over and over. Great art and conversation pieces all over the place, cool atmosphere, exactly my kind of place. Bonus points = stumbling distance from my campus! See you soon! -Jenny and Geordie
This Pub is way over priced and lacking a selection of foods ,, For 2 pints of beer which were recommended by the staff it cost $29.00 which is a complete rip off. The staff dont seem to have any customer service experience and just want to make money , will never go back there.
Today was a great day. Today was a great day not only because it was my husband s 48th birthday and the sun was shining, but because of Obadiah from The Auld Spot s sincere sense of customer service. Due to a technical issue with their online booking system, a scheduling snafu almost ruined our celebration. Obadiah, the chef, would not let this happen. He went above and beyond to make sure we were welcomed and served with the utmost of care even though he was the only staff member on hand when we arrived. The food was wonderful, and the oysters fresh. It was truly an occasion made special by the efforts of this kind gentleman.
This was my favorite bar in the city. We arrived on a Friday night and sat at the bar. The female bartender told us shed be with us soon and promptly walked off. The male bartender had his head buried in a cocktail book it seemed. He eventually took our order which was a beer, a vodka and coke and two shots. Not a complicated order. We sat there for 20 mins at the bar with no sign of our drinks. We left. I understand there were other cocktail orders ahead of us. However, a good bartender would attend to the people sitting at the bar. Its why we sit at the bar. There were 2 other tables of people that came in and were sitting there without even a water brought to them. They did not look happy either. The bar was not at capacity. I understand the bar is under new ownership and it shows. This would never happen under the old owners. Its a shame because it was a great bar with competent staff before.
Great time with really good food. Had the fish and chipd and they eye excellent. Not impressed by the peach cobbler in a mug. World have preferred a bowl due to the hardness of the crumble. I will go again to try the other food. Prices were higher than I expected but the food was better than I expected.
No words can describe how awesome The Auld Spot Pub is. Amazing food and beyond wonderful service. Dan is hands down the best server/bartender I have ever had. Nothing but top notch suggestions and fabulous service from him. 100000/10 highly recommended!!!
Ive been coming to the Auld Spot for years. Their food is excellent and I have not once had a bad experience with service. Enjoying their new outdoor seating. The food is a little bit pricy but very good. They have lots of specials throughout the week so we like to plan our trips around those. The buck a shuck oyster night on Tuesdays is our favourite. We love being able to support our favourite local businesses during the pandemic!
I was very pleasantly surprised by this pub. It looks like an average neighbourhood pub but the food was fantastic. The Caesar salad was the best I ve ever had, the drummettes were delicious (though a little pricey) and our server was friendly and on the ball. I d highly recommend.
Missing the old owner!
So cold at the pub! Maybe their heat was not working? My friend and I went for the buck a shuck Tuesday and when we got there they had run out! On their Instagram it is advertised as an all day thing. Guess not. Everything is very overpriced. Apparently its not as good as it used to be because the owners changed. I gave two stars because at least the Cesar salad was good. My friend ordered a salad with steak and hers was awful. The steak was seasoned with a strange spice and it was served cold. She pretty much had a pile of spinach with vinegar. We left there annoyed and feeling ripped off. Wont be going back.
I m sad to say that my visits since change in ownership have not been good. First visit was on a weekend (restaurant was quiet) and while service was pretty good, the steak was completely flavourless and unseasoned. I had to ask for and add salt. Second visit was a Tuesday for Buck a Shuck which is specifically advertised as available all day (restaurant was packed). The server informed us that buck a shuck was sold out. Due to health issues I was unable to eat almost everything else on the menu. I went there specifically for Buck a Shuck. I settled on a side salad as it was the only other thing i could eat. The side salad is a good size but tasteless as well. Dressing had no flavour. Steak that i ordered for the salad was cold and strangely seasoned considered it was a side/add on steak. Tasted like tandoori? Not sure. But aside from the quality of the food, this restaurant has very minimal spacing between tables and no partitions. Several staff wore their masks on their chin or neck. Our server was friendly but i think she could tell that we were very unhappy with the restaurant. Based on the poor food quality, inaccurate advertising of specials and lack of adherence to proper PPE protocols I won t be returning. Very sad. We miss the old owners and the prior standards to quality.
Great service, but at $12 a pint I will think twice about coming back.
Amazing home made food, and very kind & hospitable stuff.
Great food great music and really respectful people
Gavins forearms are worth the squeeze
Amazing Mac & cheese!
Great atmosphere, pints and food. Great for pre-concert drinks too.
Great food, hilarious staff and fabulous music
Great beers!
Great food. One of the best bar/restos on the Danforth.
Amazing spot great chat
Great place to meet friends eat fish and chips and eat fresh oysters.Always a good place to be.
Nice bar
The mussels are amazing !!
Consistent, The Auld Spot has a smallish but tasty food menu and great beer selection. The staff are very attentive and welcoming!
Okay service. Okay food. A little expensive for what you get. May or may not visit again
Good service. Busy on Saturday night.
Nice cozy bar, good menu as well
Excellent pub food and craft beer!
Great staff and such an amazing environment. Plus theyre music choices are top notch Cant wait to be back
My favourite place. Delicious beer, wine and food. Smells so good in this restaurant. Favourite is the steak and salad and the mussels.
One of the bartenders was absolutely disrespectful and had absolutely no manners. Used to be one of my favorite spots until being demeaned like that.
This has been my local haunt for years. The staff have always been warm, welcoming, and jovial(Im fortunate to call some of them friends) ; the food is top notch; and the drink selection is both eclectic and high quality.
I love a good poutine and kale ceasar salad, and Auld Spot does both really, REALLY well. Lovely staff, and cool atmosphere too! Its a gem on the Danforth for sure.
Amazing pub and people. Always feels like home, inside or out on the patio:)
Great food, friendly staff, cool spot
Nice little spot - insincere service though. Making eye contact isnt a bad thing.
Phenomenal food, drinks and atmosphere!
Good selection of draft beer. Service could have been quicker.
The food was fantastic, the beer selection, great, and all Ontario breweries plus the wait staff were very knowledgeable and fun. A winning combination!
Great poutine and my wife loved the oysters
Clean bathrooms.
Great food and atmosphere
Great food.
Great little spot! Try the Auld Fashioned cocktai.
Amazing food.... Excellent atmosphere.... On point staff.
This was the first place I had dinner when I moved to the east end. It felt like home right away. Ive been back a number of times already and will continue to do so. Amazing food, wine, beer, cocktails and service.
Oysters on Tuesday are no longer a buck apiece, but its still a nice night out
Just a great neighborhood spot! Never a bad time here
Good Service and excellent food. A small but very good highly carnivorous menu.
The food is killer here as is the beer list. This place makes my want to move to the east end!
Great food and good proportions.
The fries are magic but, at 17 ounces, the beer is expensive (but good). Oysters are pushing $5 apiece. Our server was awesome.
Great food, Great beer and wonderful staff
What a great wee spot! Great atmosphere, excellent service, good beers, fantastic burgers and the booziest cherry I ve ever had. We ll be back!
Very good food although it is pricey. I love their mussels. Usually save going for special occasions because of the cost but have never regretted it. Recently I went for brunch and the ceaser was 16 dollars and the lobster croque monsuir was 33, and I have EXACTLY ZERO REGRETS.
Staff are phenomenal, attentive and caring. Food and beer selection equally as superb.
Our local for happy hour and snacks. They have classic movies on tv most of the time with no sound - just the way I like it. Reasonable beer selection, good oysters and an interesting menu.
food fair is great, half priced oysters is a hit! missed the special but will be back. great rotating taos and an above average old fashion
Shrimp and chorizo nachos are amazing!
Cant believe I hadnt been here. Food was beautiful, beer list long and impressive, and the staff struck the perfect balance between available and respectful.
Great staff, great food, great beer list
My go-to local spot for great comfort food. Their rotating beer menu has something for everyone, like sours and decent IPAs. I usually start with the oysters, of which they have two types featured for the day, before moving on to a main. Their menu is one page and it stays pretty static for the most part, but its a pretty decent list: fish & chips, mac & cheese, Veggie burger, chicken drummies, Kale salad and so on. The service staff are attentive and friendly, but the place can get really busy so take that into consideration when waiting for a refill, or placing your order. The decor is interesting, as the walls are festooned with old paintings and the ceiling has these branches wrapped in these Christmas lights, or something like that. I hope this helps.
Service was great.
