Celebrated a birthday here. Food was great. The halibut was amazing. The service was very friendly and attentive. Would recommend

Doors were locked when we (along with around 10-15 other people) arrived for our reservations. Many of us attempted to call the restaurant but there was no answer for over 20 mins. One lucky individual was finally able to speak to someone and they opened the door without even an apology.

Had a fantastic experience here for dinner. The food is fantastic, the service is on point and a great ambiance to boot. The steak was well cooked and perfectly seasoned as was the branzino.

This time I came to Toronto alone for only four days. In addition to checking in many long-cherished attractions, I wanted to find authentic and delicious French food here that I couldn t find in New York. I searched on Google for the one closest to my hotel. The result of the restaurant proved how correct my choice was I will definitely make another trip to Toronto just to be able to eat the food here again! Thanks again to the chef for the careful cooking! Thank you to all the waiters here!

Lovely upscale restaurant. Not at the cutting edge, but it can be a good thing if you dont necessarily know how adventurous your guests are, and the food is flawless anyway so you really cant go wrong. The entrance is off the street, at the end of a small alley. Take the elevator up and thats it. Very nice and classic decor.

We sat in a cozy, quiet dining room, with very attentive service, and excellent food. The PEI oysters were small and succulent, and the branzino was cooked to perfection. A lovely evening during my short visit to Toronto on business.

I came in for lunch and the lady at the front desk if i can remember correctly she told me her name was Tina. She greeted me with a big bright smile and asked to check in my coat, beautiful soul. I immediately felt home. The food was amazing the service was top notch but it all started at the front desk. Thank you Chase

The few times ive been lucky enough to eat here I ve been blessed to have such delicious food. The space is beautiful and the service is great. The plates are put together beautifully and taste so incredible.

My sister and brother-in-law got married here in the summer of 2023 and everyone still talks about their wedding and The Chase! The food is always unbelievable and how this place is not a Michelin star restaurant just leaves me to think that Michelin should just stick to tires I have been on 3 occasions and the menu has always had changes and those changes just keep getting better and better. The Chase NEVER disappoints! Cant wait to return and order everything ... AGAIN

We truly appreciate the Chase and have enjoyed wonderful experiences during our previous visits. However, I must mention that our most recent visit a few days ago did not meet our expectations. Unfortunately, the service seemed less attentive, and we felt a bit overlooked. While the quality of food is important, we believe that the overall dining experience, including service, is equally significant. I hope this was just an isolated incident. Great vibe, fantastic friendly service and amazing seafood Tower. We loved it and would definitely recommend. Also lovely patio (though we sat inside) tucked away just off of the Yonge strip. Yonge street convenience but with a casually sophisticated vibe not usually found on Yonge. ;) Highly recommend.

Yummy food and great service- we had the oysters and steak tartare as starters, oysters was fresh and tartare was delicious; then we had the chicken and tuna for the main. Highly recommend the tuna. Finally we had flourless chocolate and almond cake for dessert. Awesome experience!

Perfect vibe here with soft music on , with full windows overseeing the street view. Our first time in toronto and surely first time at this restaurant. Ordered chicken, tuna as main. The chicken is so crispy and meat tender. The seared tuna is also delicious, with rich sauce and veggies on the side. The dessert we ordered is choco n almond cake with sesame ice cream. All delicately made. And tastes very good. Oysters are at half price (due to fridays)! A sweeeeet surprise for us.

We had the Mother Of Pearl seafood tower which was AMAZING. The green apple mignonette wasn t too sweet or acidic and the aioli was fantastic the cocktail sauce was a bit thick and too sweet for our taste. All excellent quality seafood. And the Steak Tartare had some incredible flavors and texture variation-the best we ve ever had. Everything was very fresh. The rum cocktail I had was subtle but unremarkable. The food definitely made up for the service-which just wasn t attentive enough for their price points, and perhaps somewhat selective and pretentious. Dietary restrictions: They were kind to inquire about potential allergies if not aversions or dietary restrictions before submitting the order.

We were looking for a nicer dinner while we were in town. I just happened to actually go to their website, and saw the Summer Prix Fixe deal. The place looked so nice, I figured even if we needed more food after, $89/person for 4 courses sounded reasonable. 30 years on this earth, and this was the best meal either of us ever had. Gorgeous dining room, beautiful view, wonderful service. Everything was simply perfect. Each dish was incredible. We met at school back in thr American south. Those sure werent like the grits we were familiar with. I will forever recommend this spot whenever someone is looking for a nice dinner in Toronto Thank you for a great evening

Came here for our 10th year anniversary. I asked for an intimate setting, and they gave us the best seat in the house. The food was amazing! The service was impeccable as our server was super attentive and kind. She ended up giving us a wonderful dessert after our meal. The decor and atmosphere were beautiful. It was a very memorable experience for us! We will be back again.

I attended a bridal party dinner tonight and what a chaotic restaurant. The chef was louder than my mom yelling on a phone call to India. He was yelling so loud I could hear every order he was yelling at his servers and kitchen staff. Ontop of that, all the food was so late to arrive that the people from a different party who arrived at the same time as us for a different large group party finished their meals and left before my group party s dinner even arrived. How long does it take to cook fries ? 1.5 hours is way too long for a fish. It s a beautiful atmosphere with the chaos of an Indian market where everyone s running around like chipmunks. The place wasn t even packed and they were this behind on the meals and orders. For the prices of the menu, you would think they would get allergies right. I repeat if you have an allergy ensure your server and chef are reminded of it 10x because my friend allergic to peppers had an allergic reaction. This was my first time coming to this restaurant. I had heard good things from whispers but this place aside from looking good provided a pretty empty ugly experience. I would never come back here or recommend this place to anyone. Don t pay this much for fish and oysters to only end up in the hospital and not get your food. Don t pay that much to hear the chef yelling all night ending with a Advil to clam the migraine. He was louder than my Indian mom. Bro like did you not learn to talk to your staff without sounding like you re at some concert. Worst restaurant ever !! I ll never come back. I would rather go to an oyster restaurant that had music not a yelling man screaming at the top of his lungs and they get allergies right. They also did nothing to apologize or fix the situation. Left with a massive headache.

The food was absolutely amazing, the depth of each dish including drinks was incredible. All of the servers were great and our server Libon really stood out! He made our 20th anniversary celebration very special.

I am editing my review. What a disappointment. I am never going there again. I bought a gift card for my daughter , that she saved for a special occasion. The gift card has $415 on it. We were told we can t use the gift card that we purchased at the chase , and to be used at the chase, for what my daughter thought would be a special occasion we were told to go to Planta to use it!!!! That was a manager s solution to us wasting $400 on a gift card that we were told is unusable in the restaurant we bought it at. Go figure. This is not how things were done in this restaurant that I used to love. Apparently ownership changed and it doesn t matter that we got a gift card FROM THIS SAME restaurant to be used there, a place that we visited regularly and spent lots of money at. What a disappointment. The biggest disappointment was the manager s way of dealing with the situation - she was not finding a solution, she was simply trying to place the ball into someone else s corner , with 0 accountability and repeating like a parrot the same thing several times, that the ownership changed and that I can use the gift certificate at planta , some other restaurant on the city. If this is what customer service looks like at the chase these days I am never ever going there again. This was my favourite place , I have brought different guests that have become customers , my favourite waiter in the whole world works there , we have spent tens of thousands of dollars there . What a disappointment this was. It was a bday surprise that my daughter ( a student) was hoping and planning for for months!!! She saved her cards for a long time to use it at this special occasion for her. From what I have written below , which is a review with praise in each word, to this level of ignorance, it simply means that the place went steeply downhill. Non existent customer service. For the manager that helped me customers do not like deflection. It does not count as customer service! Especially not after a customer spent thousands of dollars and brought you other customers. - Chase never disappoints. The service is fantastic. Brendan , who usually serves us, is probably the best server we have encountered. Anywhere. Our preferences are remembered , the champagne is always perfectly chilled, the food is always perfect and his knowledge of the food and wine is excellent. . My daughter was with me last time ( a teenager) and I was surprised how much she loved the place and how engaged she was .

This was the best restaurant Ive been to in years. My partner and I went here for her birthday and we were amazed by the quality of the restaurant. First off, it had a beautiful patio right in ths center of the Entertainment District. The ambience and vibe were very romantic and relaxed as well. They had hands down the best truffle fries I have ever had. For drinks, we got the espresso martini and it tasted delicious. For mains, we had roasted chicken and steak which were both made to perfection. Our server was also very polite and professional and gave us a complimentary cake to top it all off. Definitely glad we went here and will definitely come back again! Definitely a hidden gem in Toronto.

We went here for a bachelorette dinner before heading out. It was phenomenal food, and the service was stellar. I ordered the steak, as did the Bride, and we both agreed it was done exactly to perfection. We also ordered the Brussel Sprouts who knew they could taste so good! I have the flourless almond chocolate cake that was drool-worthy!

I celebrated my birthday at The Chase this past Monday, and the waitresses were very accommodating and friendly. I love the ambience and aesthetics of the restaurant, and the food was great!

Very disappointed in the service and treatment provided. I showed up for a reservation I made on open table for the patio. I was greeted by a condescending male who asked me when I made the reso?? He continued to speak down to me and told me that the reservation I made was not accurate. The attitude I received within the first 1 minute of arriving was horrible. I have never been treated so horribly in the first 1 minute of arriving that I had at this restaurant. Safe to say, i left right away.

Mallory is the best!! Make sure to hang with her at the bar. She will make you feel like a million bucks. Try the guava mezcal drink and the octopus carpaccio

I had dinner and fabulous cocktails at The Chase whilst on business in Toronto. I sat upstairs at the bar and honestly had to stop myself from making pleasure sounds as I ate my dinner and enjoyed the cocktails. This was an A1 experience and the staff were incredible, knowing when I needed something and when to leave me to enjoy my food. Bravo.

After having a coffee at a nearby cafe, I wanted to show my partner the beautiful space at The Chase as hes never been there! He liked it so much we decided to stay for dinner. It was early on a Friday night and although we did not have a reso the staff was very accommodating. We started with the kale salad...it has kale, cauliflower, black currents, shaved parmaesan topped with a hazelnut and apple dressing...WOW deeelish. Truly an elevated salad. Next we had the grilled branzino, on an asparagus mint puree, excellent too, plus a side of brussel sprouts (a little too sweet for my liking). Definitely will return for a proper date night out!

We were in the neighborhood and my girlfriend wanted to show me this place for a future date. This place is beautiful. The patio is so nice and the inside is cozy and comfortable. We asked if we could go on the patio for drinks. Np Then we decided to have an appetizer. It got a little chilly(The terrace is upstairs), so we asked if we could sit inside Np. Right away you notice how you re being served. The staff is friendly and efficient. We ended staying and having an appetizer, main and a side with our very good cocktails. The food was nothing short of outstanding. This place checks all the boxes. The restaurant is beautiful, superior friendly service and the food is outstanding. Put this on your calendar for your next dining out!

I had an amazing time here with my friend yesterday! The food was great, we shared the Pearl which could have fed three people lol and each had a salad. The service was great and the atmosphere is always nice there! I can to my reservation 30 minutes early and was able to sit at my table and get some work done before my friend showed up. The 5 of us shared a seafood tower and were impressed by the variety. Everything in the tower was so fresh, my favorite was the snow crab legs. The halibut entrée was moist and the polenta was flavorful. The apple tarte tatin was well presented, balanced, and the crust was flaky.

I enjoyed the best meal ever at the Chase. I was there 2 weeks agao and am still enjoying the memory experienced. I tried many new dishes of things I thought I would ever eat and liked them more then I can say The chiefs there are fabulous at what they do. The waiting staff are all so friendly and helpful. The food could taste better and a little more fresh, there s usually always something off with some dishes and their taste differs from time to time. but this place definitely has a nice atmosphere and view. The seafood tends to be better here :)

Thank you for your hospitality, however, my partner and I were disappointed with the service during our visit. Weve dined at many renowned restaurants, but this experience was quite unpleasant. Firstly, there was a significant delay in receiving our second course on a Thursday night, which wasnt particularly busy. Additionally, none of the servers or runners checked on us to inquire about the quality of our food. I had wanted to request salt and pepper, but there was no one available to assist. Lastly, my partners steak arrived cold and unfortunately no one came to check on our food. Thank you again

I hope things are different now but the night several years ago when we visited was shameful. It was when the restaurant was on the ground floor. We arrived at 5 and right away we could tell that they didnt want us there. As happens more and more as we get older, we were directed to the worst table in the place. We complained and asked for a window table. Our serving person fidgeted and looked around and mentioned checking with the manager but he relented and sat us at the window. After that they treated us better, after it became clear that my wife and I intended to eat a couple dozen oysters and each have our own dinner and drink alcoholic beverages. Still, I felt they rushed us. Later, I told a friend about it and he explained, No Will, they dont want you there, especially in the window where younger, hipper potential customers might see you and keep walking. That sounds logical to me but if thats the case then they should turn us away at the door. More honest that way.

We went for dinner last night and Dom the server went above on beyond. The quality of the food was spectacular. Really nice date night spot. The manager, Francesca was very accommodating. Will definitely be returning for Winterlicious.

Google incorrectly rates this place as $$ and it should be $$$. Red wines start from $30 a glass, beers - from $11, some for entries. Havent been there, but love the pictures and definitely consider visiting this beautiful place.

The Chase hosted my client for a full restaurant buyout of 120 people on a Friday evening. Their staff was friendly, professional, and fantastic to work with, especially Hailey! They had no issues with accommodating many detailed dietary restrictions and allergies. Their patio is awesome and has a great ambiance. The large group menu selections provide lots of variety and unique entree options. I would definitely recommend The Chase to any event/conference planners looking for a upscale, high-quality restaurant venue. I will certainly return the next time Im in Toronto!

Some veggie options but can be more flavorful. I tried the cauliflower and flatbread. Highly recommend the flatbread.

The seafood was absolutely delicious and the service was excellent. Our server was super attentive at all times. The Mother of Pearl seafood platter was incredible. The truffle burrata and rosemary focaccia will be something I dream about.

A Monday evening in Toronto The service was not up to par with the impeccable food! Exorbitant wines in glasses! $35 8 ounce of Cabernet Sauvignon!! Unfortunately, due to lack of service, we went to have dessert and our Esspresso in another restaurant!!

Was visiting Toronto for my 50th birthday and decided to try out the Chase. The cocktails were fabulous the appetizers were fantastic, the steak was cooked to perfection and tender like butter. We couldn t have asked for a better service or a more perfect ambience . Highly recommend.

My husband and I are visiting from overseas and our cousin invited and booked us a table for dinner at The Chase. This is definitely a dinner we will always remember. The food, service and ambiance was just perfection from A to Z! We ordered Burrata, Mushroom, and the Scallops for appetizers. We ordered steak with sides of asparagus and Brussels sprouts for our entrée. We then ended our meal with the Sticky Toffee Pudding, Lemon Meringue cake tea and coffee. Ive got to thank Chad for his amazing service and recommendations. He made our experice that much better. For me I highly recommend the Burrata and Scallops they were both divine. Id come back and savor those two appeizer dishes on any day. The creaminess of the burrata, paired with truffle is so good, it made my heart happy! The freshness of the Scallops and symphony of flavors in the sauce was absolutely stunning! The steak was cooked to perfection and the mustard jus with the mushrooms on top was absolutely delicious! Smooth like butter. The asparagus had great grilled flavor topped with crushed hazelnuts for a toasty nutty crunch I appreciated and the brussel sprouts had a very yummy caramelised flavor and a tossed in beautiful sauce. The sticky Toffee Pudding will send you to cloud 9. A must in my book. A huge thank for this beautiful menu offering and the Chef(s), kitchen and service staff for making our experience memorable. The food was absolutely amazing, steak was cooked to perfection, lobster and crab meat were perfectly prepared, and the drinks were exceptional. The bartenders and servers were very pleasant and accommodating. Bathrooms were very clean. The only downside to the atmosphere was the patio view, there is just way too many buildings around, but if you like the view of buildings, it is fine. Definitely an upscale and fancy place to dine.

Staff Is Welcoming. No Disappointment With The Porter House But Sadly Me And Co Workers Waited More Than 50 Minutes The Waitress Kept Saying 10 Minutes Or 30 Minutes Really Upset With The Wait Aside That It Tasted Amazing! I wish I took a closer look at negative reviews about service before going here for our anniversary. Our server didnt ask if we were celebrating anything which is usually the first question that most restaurants ask when you first sit down. At the end, she added multiple items we did not order onto the receipt which doubled our bill to $450 (two people apps, main and desset with no drinks). She tried to blame the system but some of these reviews state this happened to them too so it leads me to believe it was intentional. Check your bill and items before you pay! The fact that 18% tip is preset as the first option is a joke because regardless of the restaurant type, a tip is earned and our server didnt deserve any form of gratuity. Would not come back or recommend

The food portions and taste was disappointing. If you dont want to taste your seafood, love mint and are on a diet - This is the place for you. The staff was friendly and helpful but was over the top in explaining the meals. Prior to the pandemic, this restaurant was awesome. Dietary restrictions: Peanut friendly

The service here was great, the manager was helping out with the tables and seeing that was a sign to me that service is a top priority. I was disappointed they only had the summer menu which wasn t as exciting as some of the items I saw on the regular menu. The burrata and the octopus carpaccio were the best things we tried. I enjoyed the different flavours they paired with the octopus- one of the best I ve had in a cold appetizer. The truffle mac and cheese was bland and underwhelming and the lobster pasta was okay, not super creamy or had any flavours had made it noteworthy. The atmosphere was lovely and the service is great but I wouldn t be in a hurry to come back

Good food and service, enjoyed a halibut

I came on a visit with my girlfriend for the weekend and had high expectations based on the reviews. The atmosphere and service was great, however the food left a lot to be desired. The prices were very high (20-25$) for a drink and the food was high as well. I don t mind paying these prices if the food is good, but this place was very basic in the quality. I still had a good experience overall due to the service.

The Chase offers innovative, memorable, and great dinning experience. We had the pleasure to try the black cod and the steak along with the side of brussels sprouts and truffle mac & cheese. For dessert, we got the chocolate layer cake and cheesecake. All of the things ordered were amazing and cooked to perfection. It was also well presented and neatly plated. I think this place is also ideal to celebrate special occasion or for corporate function. The restaurants décor and ambiance were amazing, it feels cozy and warm. It also offers a nice a nice view of downtown Toronto from the rooftop. The service was great, very professional, and the staffs were attentive to cater every needs. Looking forward to visiting this spot again.

This place is great. Wonderful, friendly service. Despite offering a limited menu, everything I tried was very good. Amazing starters, great steak. Ask the staff what they recommend as they try the food before updating their menu. Great place!

A few years ago, we had our wedding banquet here and it was amazing. All our friends and family enjoyed not only the view, but also the food. Staff were friendly and service was impeccable. The food was what we wanted and it was delicious. Thank you to all the staff that made our night a very memorable experience.

Came here for lunch and we were one of the first tables being seated. Lunch hour was not super busy but service was slow. It took our waitress 10 minutes to come over to take our orders, at one point, I was going to get up to see where she was to flag her down because over lunch hour on a weekday, you re usually on a time crunch (Chase staff, please take note of this). My friend ordered the halibut and I ordered the tuna dish, everything tasted great, portions were just right. I ve been to Chase a couple of times pre-pandemic and the quality of food and taste wise is still consistent. Dessert was AMAZING. If you have extra space in your stomach, order the strawberry pavlova, it s not too sweet and it was such a refreshing dish! Wheelchair accessibility: Elevator access to the top floor.

Went to find a place for a quick drink after work with a colleague and found The Chase. Tucked away in the financial district, it was ideal. Had the upscale feel we wanted with great views and delicious food. One G&T effortlessly turned into three. Amazing warm and welcoming service, clean spaces (even washrooms), and attentive service. We asked some questions to who I assume was the manager who made us feel that she had all the time in the world for us. Thank you Hannah! We will be back.

We went here for our anniversary and this restaurant did not disappoint. It s expensive but worth it ; the food is incredible

My husband, mom and myself had dinner at this location. We arrived right after they opened. The service was quick and very attentive staff checking on us to make sure the food, drinks and service was good. The thought the food prices were fair given presentation, taste, number of staff bringing the food to the table, and location. The food was properly seasoned and at perfect temperature. I have a tendency to add salt everywhere I go because its either not salted right or not properly seasoned. I had no need here. We had a lovely evening together as a family and we all enjoyed it.

Food was yummy, service was great/quick (our food was out in under 15min), and the restaurant itself is super pretty love the upscale ambiance!

This is my favourite restaurant at least until my recent visit last week. The food was great but i feel like it has dropped in taste since the transition to a new chef and menu. The food was quite salty. Specifically, the Potato Pave was saltier than I would ve imagined. The Foie Gras addition was sub-par at most. I loved the steak, but the jus it came with was also saltier than my liking. My experience few months ago was amazing as expected but the recent visit was below my expectations. I hope the team can take this as constructive feedback to drive improvements to the menu. I will definitely be visiting again in the future after another menu change as I would hate for my favourite restaurant to be not my favourite anymore.

The space is very elegant , with great views of downtown. The wait staff is very well trained and professional. Most importantly the food was great!

Get drinks and appetizers only from this place. Great ambience and overall experience. The main food is not up to par with the price points. Avoid eating other than an appetizer and some drinks, trust me you will leave in a better mood.

Amazing, we allowed our waitress to order and she brought out an incredible spread from the appetizers to the entree. She also was really great at handling my gluten allergy

Lovely staff and service. From the moment we entered, we experienced a warm welcome. Tara, our server, was exceptionally kind, surprising us with a complimentary dessert for our anniversary the French macarons were a delight! Every dish, from the burrata with focaccia to the ricotta gnocchi, was exceptional. Our main courses, the prime striploin, and the wagyu coulotte were cooked to perfection. We will definitely come back!

Everything about the restaurant was amazing. The food, service, and the waitresses.

A really nice spot with some good food without any pretentiousness. Simple ingredients elevated to create some memorable dishes. Do order the burrata, the Wagyu beef, and their sticky toffee pudding. Even if you dont, the other dishes wont disappoint. Not a spot for a regular dinner ($$$$), but a perfect spot for a special occasion.

This is my all time favourite restaurant. Absolutely love their seafood tower, everything is super fresh and delicious. I know I m getting quality every time I come here. Their cocktails are also super delicious and I love the atmosphere and view of the restaurant. Would recommend!
