The Good Son in Toronto

We visited on a Sunday for a celebration, given it was not busy, we were hoping the staff especially our server to be a little more attentive. However, her attitude was not the best, barely came to check up on us and it was difficult to even get refills on our water

Pretty good food, fantastic atmosphere and decor. Very slow service by a server that was perhaps socially challenged. Super awkard. Got our drinks 30 seconds before our food. It wasnt even busy. Id go back and try it again hoping to get better service. Couldnt quite give it a 5. Ill update to a 5 if they improve their service (i.e. their speed). The hostess was very nice, and hustled trying to make up for the lack of service from the waitress.

A big miss on this occasion sadly as this is usually excellent. Tried the Taiwanese Fried Chicken on Toast. 4 of the tiniest shriveled dry fried chicken bites on soggy French toast slathered in red sauce. Used a weird herb, maybe oregano? that gave it a bitter taste. Pizza crust was almost too dry to eat. Pricey too for a brunch with no alcohol.

I ordered the burger and fries and the ginger bread drink. The burger and drink was absolutely delicious but the fries were not edible. My server was busy with other tables so I ate the burger but avoided the fries until I could get his attention. Once I told him the issue with the fries he went to the chef and they said I ate most of the meal, which is true. I annihilated that delicious burger. I didn t touch the fries. They told me if I wanted to have new fries I d have to order another fry. Found that a bit crazy. Yea. I won t come back here.

I m not sure what s Taiwanese about the Taiwanese Fried Chicken on Toast, but I would not recommend it at all. There were a few thin and small pieces of overcooked deep fried chicken seasoned with salt and pepper, and I was expecting actual Taiwanese-style fried chicken. The sriracha and honey sauce was unpleasant and had a bitter taste to it. The French toast was fine, but the sriracha and honey sauce drizzled all over ruined it for me. My fiancé thought his eggs royale was fine, but nothing special, and there was barely any smoked salmon. For the price of both of our dishes ($25 and $24), the portions were extremely small. I ve been to The Good Son before and enjoyed their pizza, but I would never come back here for brunch again.

We ve stumbled across this place yesterday, I tried their Flightless bird and Margherita pizza. Drink was on point and pizza was beyond what I expected, was absolutely delicious Will go back again for that pizza. Food

Great food and great service. However, website indicates you are wheelchair accessible but there is a step at the entrance. If my partner was in his electric chair we would not have been able to keep our reservation. We were able to get him in but it was not easy. Wheelchair accessible means a person in a wheelchair can wheel into your premise. We hope the owner will purchase a ramp from stop.ca so people with disabilities can enjoy the place. We will be back if you live up to your wheelchair accessibility post.

The Good Son honestly never disappoints, the food is always amazing, the atmosphere is always on point and the servers are attentive. Our server dident have a note pad or ipad to take the order instead she memorized our order which wasnt a small one. Its these little details that can just make your experience just that much better! I would definitely recommend and will definitely be coming back here!

I have been here at least 5 times over the past few years and they always knock it out of the park in terms of food and service. This place has never disappointed. Vegetarian options: Many vegetarian options in pizza, pasta an apps. Kid-friendliness: Kid friendly pizzas.

Best restaurant i ve been too. It gets warm inside when it the summer but the food never disappoint. Recommend getting there steak with mashed potatoes.

My friends and I were visiting Toronto last week and were on the lookout for a good place to enjoy some pizza. We stumbled upon The Good Son on Queen St, and it turned out to be an amazing experience. The pizzas were absolutely delicious, and the atmosphere was incredible, full of style and character. The reception area has the charming feel of an old-fashioned food store, creating a cozy welcome. As you step further in, the ambiance transforms into an elegant yet relaxed setting. We were fortunate to be served by Tyler, whose service was exceptional. We will definitely be coming back the next time were in Toronto.

A bit pricey, but delicious food.. especially their pizza!

Would return for cocktails, dinner left a bit to be desired. Peach salad was underwhelming, pizza was good, pasta was another pasta! Cocktails were very creative and tasty, while the interior had a very interesting vibe and awesome looking bar.

Visited the downtown location after visiting the Don mills location. Both locations did not disappoint. The service was spot on, food and drinks were amazing and the decor is great. Ordered the Picante pizza, Moscow mules and fries. Happened to visit on Saturday during their happy hour (4pm-7pm). They don t make weak drinks during happy hours unlike many restaurants. Will visit again to try the bulgogi ribs.

Food was awesome, we got the gnocchis, short ribs and 2 different pizzas. Everything was delicious and flavourful. On top of that, the waiter was thoughtful and nice. Highly recommend.

Weird experience in the good son today. I ve been to the good son before and ordered their panna cotta in regular menu. Today I ordered panna cotta in the summerlicious menu. It was served in half size (literally cut in the middle and served half)!!! I was very surprised. Warning sign to anyone who wants to try their summerlicious - feels almost like a scam.

The drinks came after the pizza, it took ten minutes to find out that they didn t have Richard s Red, and it took a long time after getting the bill to pay. If they re understaffed, they should hire more

Dinner was amazing pizza was so good forgot to take a picture before trying. Cesar salad was delicious and charcuterie was perfectly portioned. Don t forget to ask for spicy peppers.

I went here for brunch and got the Eggs Royale and Buttered Up. Great food and pretty place! Would come back again.

Loved it. The food was excellent, as was the service. Kind of an eclectic menu. Dont let the burger and pizzas fool you (which are excellent, by the way), this is a nice place with interesting choices and a really warm atmosphere.

Wednesday pizza deal is perfection. Pizzas are delicious with thin crust. You don t feel gross even when you finish the full pizza because they are so well done with good quality ingredients. Cocktails are amazing too. Service is always attentive and fast. It s a perfect date spot if you re going for a concert at the Great Hall/Longboat Hall which is right across. One of our favourite spots in the neighbourhood for an elevated and a good quality dinner with great deals!

Don t go here if you re a certain skin shade. We got the most stone cold server, who on several occasion forgot to bring us stuff we ask for multiple times. She let one of the person s meal go cold waiting for his beer and hot sauce. For the hot sauce after asking, she never brought it and we had to ask another server. For the drink, we asked 3 times and I myself asked her to check up on the drink. I observered her demeanue change for the next table, she was smiling and interacting with them. We were a group of 5 people and very quite, so not something we did to deserve such terrible service. When myself and my wife walked out the greeter simply ignored us and didn t show any appreaction for us coming? Also it was mother s day and these people were just rude and never made us feel welcomed or appreciated. We will never go to this location again. Finally if you re wondering, the place was almost dead, only 3 other tables in the entire place was occupied. So the terriable service was intentional and just one of the worst disrespectable I ve ever experienced.

I came here with my family on Mothers day for dinner because I had a good experience at their North York location. We arrived 20 minutes early to a booking but the staff accommodate us by allowing us to get a table early since there wasnt a lot of people, which was nice. The unfortunate issue was that after we ordered our food, it took around 45 mins but our food still hadnt arrived yet. So at that point we were already ready to leave as it was getting late, but the waitress/hostess assured us it would be ready in a couple more minutes. We were really frustrated because the restaurant was not at all busy but it took almost an hour for it get to us and it wasnt exactly as good when we got it. We ordered the Mushroom Pappardelle and Spaghetti Diavolo as well a starter and a pizza. The Pappardelle was undercooked and the shrimp and scallops for the Spaghetti was over cooked and cold. The only good dish was the Pizza. So all in all it wasnt exactly a great dining experience because of how the food was handled which I believe should merit more as this is after all a highly rated restaurant. Probably wont be going back to the Queen St. location if I do decide to try Good Son again.

Food was a mixed bag for me. The burger was average but the pizza and steak tartare were decent. Staff were nice and the drinks were good. The restaurant decor was pretty nice. They did accommodate us with nice seating when we asked which I really appreciated. I would give 4.5 stars if I could cuz of the service. One main issue was that it was super loud in there so we all had to shout at each other when trying to talk. Went there on a Saturday night around 8pm.

Absolutely a must-go place for me!!! Its a cozy but also stylish bar and restaurant. Friendly staffs. The pizza was delicious, and my spouse enjoyed his burger and rated it as one of the top burgers you can have in Toronto!

Great place for some delicious oven baked pizza. I really liked their decorations, every wall has a theme. We got their salmon crudo as an appetizer, it was very interesting. The sweet and sour taste definitely opened up the taste buds with a unique herb taste lingering in your mouth afterwards. For their wood oven pizza I would recommend their Mauna Loa and Pesto Fungi. The Mauna Loa has pork cheek meat which is fatty, but the pineapple perfectly balanced out the fat. If you like mushrooms then the Pesto Fungi is perfect with different kinds of roasted mushrooms and the pear slices add on a crunchy texture and a slight sweet taste to the pizza. Their Wednesday special is great, you can order any drinks and get a pizza for $14-$16. Vegetarian options: Pesto Fungi

Excellent food, and a truly unique experience. They are my go to when I just want something amazing and to cap off a long day. Have had my family there multiple times now too! Some of the best fries in Toronto And if you can get Tyler as your server- added bonus!

There are fancier and more creative restaurants in the vicinity, but for delicious elevated pub fare, The Good Son is always a reliable option, and its a particularly great spot if youre going with a large group.

The food was really very good, particularly the mussels. But the outstanding thing about The Good Son is its staff. They were very friendly, patient and accommodating. The only bothersome thing about the Queen Street location is how loud it was. Perhaps the noise level is better on a weeknight when, presumably, they arent as busy, but our reservation was for a Saturday night and it was extremely loud.

I was so incredibly impressed with our service at this location. Our waitress, who I unfortunately do not remember the name of, was impeccable. I had not received service like that since pre pandemic times. Admittedly, the service industry has tanked since 2020 and it is extremely rare to get proper waitstaff service anywhere... not rare here! They were constantly on top of filling our water without us asking, not once did we need to touch our wine bottle as our waitress was attentive in filling our glasses. They served the food and cutlery appropriately and the food was delicious. 5 stars all around. We will be returning!

Never been inside for a sit-down meal, but Ive been ordering from this place for a few years now. Consistently good food, with new additions appearing every so often. Great addition to the WQW neighbourhood. The Spicy Sopressata Red Pizza and Brussels Sprouts are my go-tos.

Pros: the PIZZA! thin and Neapolitan style. Would recommend a no frills choice as too many toppings makes it too floppy. Honestly, fantastic Margherita. Also, they make amazing mocktails. Staff are lovely. Cons: the tartare. The sourdough bread was buttered and absolutely incredible but the tartare itself lacked. It felt loosely placed on the plate and i missed the egg on top which is traditionally done. Wouldnt order this again. Stick with the za.

Got the Ontario Striploin and Alberta Ribeye Steaks which, when paired with the Sherry and Thyme Jus, it was really good. The creamy mashed potato was super smooth and the french fries reminded me of Swiss Chalet fries, but way better. For a restaurant not marketed as a steakhouse, it was pretty good. Only regret was not taking a picture, but I was too hungry for that.

We had a fabulous dinner celebrating a birthday. Atmosphere and great service were only rivalled by the delicious food.

I haven t been to enough restaurants in Toronto to be able to officially crown a dish. But if I could, this place would earn best Brussels sprouts and best fries. The spicy sopressata pizza (+hot honey) is also a favourite. The smash burger is good if you re in the mood and the old fashioned here is excellent and on the sweeter side. I ve been coming here 8 years running now and neither the food, nor the service quality has diminished an inch. The good son doesn t offer anything particularly unique, but it does everything consistently well and for that, it s in the book of favourites.

This restaurant has the 4 the best pizza in the world. After trying it it does not disappoint. The balance between the dough, fresh sauce and ingredients was perfect. Great price to quality ratio

Eggs Benedict was delicious. The blueberry semolina pancakes were disgusting and tasted more like a salad than breakfast. The cashew creme fresh was almost sour. Very limited menu for brunch so the fact that the safe option was some weird fusion take on pancakes was very disappointing.

Great atmosphere and tasty food. I had a reservation, but I feel there is no need if youre going during the week, there are plenty of seats, which is great. The staff was very friendly, but the service was a bit unorganized because only one server was working at the time. I would definitely recommend going there for pizzas and appetizers. They also have some good deals during the weekdays, like half-price on drinks and certain pizzas.

Outstanding Brunch! Served by the wonderful sever, Jessah, the food was quite fresh and delicious. The Egg Benedict was a generous portion, with perfectly done poached organic egg on top of grilled buttery mushrooms topped with moderate amount of hollandaise sauce, wonderfully made green salad drizzled with fava beans, soft and tasty potatoe wedges plus, the most exquisite pancake made of zucchini stacked in thin layers and soacked in gently sweet camomile syrup. All so delish!

Food was absolutely amazing but service was non existent for a Saturday night. Probably had to do with the fact that we didn t order alcohol had to get some random staff that wasn t our server to settle our bill because our server was MIA all night - brutal.

Good spot to have brunch with friends on a Sunday and chat about the weekend adventures. The breakfast menus here is very unique and the food was so good and it exceeded my expectations I d recommend it if you haven t been.

The Good Son is an amazing and cozy place with a good burger. The overall experience was good, but the waiter had a bit of a moody demeanor. Nonetheless, it did not detract from the tasty food and pleasant atmosphere. I would recommend this restaurant to others looking for a satisfying meal in a comfortable setting.

The boyfriend and I are forever changed with how amazing the food was here. Our only regret was that we should have ordered another pizza. We started with an appetizer and ordered the Burratta & prosciutto board. An absolute must try. The caramelized figs, olive oil, hazelnuts, thyme crostini, burratta, arugula and prosciutto are all a match made in heaven- you won t be disappointed. The pizza we ordered was Margherita pizza. The pizza was perfection. The sauce to cheese ratio was perfect, the toast on the crust was done perfectly. With how good the Margherita pizza was, I can only imagine how good the rest of the pizzas must be. Oh lastly the ambience and aesthetics are an added bonus.

Coming back after half year. The service is still decent, but the food goes straight down. Ordered the TGS burger and Mauna Loa pizza. Burger patty was overcooked, hardly any juice left. First pizza was way too burnt and the taste was terrible that I had to ask for another one. Second one, the pepper was too spicy and overused on the pizza,ruined the whole taste of the pizza. Either get the old chef back, or stop using dishwasher as line cook please. 5 stars for service, -2 stars for food.

I dined alone on Thursday April 13th, sat at the bar, and received fantastic service. The bartender was incredible, his speed and efficiency was truly amazing too watch. He was a one man show behind the bar, and served the diners at the bar with ease and kindness while managing to provide speedy drink service to the rest of the team. His kindness made my night, and I hope that his work ethic and skill will be recognized. I didnt catch the bartenders name, though if I remember correctly, he may have had a spider web tattoo on his elbow. Dietary restrictions: Asked if I had any allergies

Less like a fine dining experience, more like an evening at the bar. Noisy, with tables crammed together. Their Don mills location is much better. Service is great, food except pizzas is ordinary, and the dining experience is abysmal. PS : The torched scallops are a money grab, just like the restaurant itself which feels like a sheep pen.

Great date night place! The mushroom papardelle was my favorite dish alongside the steak tartare. The mushroom pasta was so flavorful and pasta was cooked perfectly! We also ordered a pizza which was huge. It had fantastic charred crust! The atmosphere was interesting too like dining in an 1800s mansion. Pay attention to the decor if you ever eat there!

Good place for a Saturday night out with friends. Great atmosphere and decorations. However, the place could get really loud and noisy. We had a hard time to hear each other, so I wouldn t recommend this place if you re planning to have conversations. Food was great. My personal favorite was the beef tartare. The sour dough and the tartare accompany each other well, and brought out the flavor of the beef. Their pizzas were flavorful, but a bit on the soggy side. Still better than a lot of pizza places in Toronto tho! I deducted 1 star mainly due to the service. You would expect better service from such famous and well known restaurant. It was alright, but could be better.

Wednesday deal of the day was $14 pizza with purchase of any drink which was really worth it. We got the Mauna Loa pizza which was spicy, dough was good. And the brussel sprouts which was a little overpriced and too saucy? Cool spot though with very good vibes, in the summers they open up the windows so it feels half outdoors!

I came with my family for their brunch menu and ordered the Margherita pizza and the garlic aioli on the side. The pizza was alright, but the aioli made it taste so much better. I was really thirsty and I found that the waitresses were really quick to refill my water. They must have refilled my cup around 8 times. The customer service was great and they re very on top of it. The washrooms were clean, single stall and spacious.

seems like the menu changes quite frequently and there are different offers on different days! on Wednesday they have $14 pizzas with a drink purchase (1 drink/pizza). We ordered the Bufala one which was $16 (there are two pizzas that are priced $2 higher). The pizza is delicious - the dough is so so good. We also ordered the mushroom pappardelle and omg it smelled phenomenal. I personally don t even like mushroom but this was so damn good and not overpowering at all. Lastly we ordered the Brussel sprouts but we found it a bit salty and the staff was kind enough to take it off the bill for us. 5/5 such a good spot, friendly staff and the restaurant is so cute and has so much character-every wall has a different theme and the tables were all a bit different too. would love to come back to try more items off the menu!

The Good Son is a highly recommended restaurant to visit! Its best to book in advance as the restaurant does get full and get quite crowded, especially on weekends. Located right in the heart of downtown Toronto, On Queen Street West, The Good Son is a fantastic dining experience! The menu at The Good Son is very simple as it has its variations of appetizers, Mains and Pizza. They also have quite the drink menu as it is divided into supreme cocktails, beer and wine. The go-to Pizza of my choice was the Margherita Pizza. It was cooked to perfection and I thoroughly enjoyed it. I also ordered a glass of white wine to go along with the Pizza and it was the perfect pairing of choices. The staff at The Good Son are really nice and professional as they assist you with the menu and provide for you the right information in place when ordering. I will definitely be back to The Good Son , thats for sure !

5 stars all around!! Food, service, and atmosphere were all on point. I sat at the bar, Nikki was my server/bartender and was very attentive. There was a new manager, David, who was going around the dining room and even came to check on how I was doing a couple of times. I love having the presence of a manager in a restaurant to check on the quality of everything. This is my second time here. My first time, I was too excited and hungry, so I didnt take pictures! I I had the steak tartare, jerk shrimp, mushroom papardelle,and the brussels sprouts. Everything was amazing!! Big, huge shout out to well steak tartar. LOVED that dish the most, and almost ordered it again! Attached are pictures of my pizza, Mauna Loa, with smoked pork cheek, roasted pineapple, and scotch bonnet pepper. It wasnt overly spicy for me, very flavorful! One thing - the middle of the pizza seemed to be weighed down by the ingredients and was super thin, almost impossible to hold without everything falling. I gave my honest feedback to the manager, David. Thanks to all the staff at Good Son, Ill definitely be back! Amazing environment, very nice service, and amazing food... Its really worth it.

Based on the pizza I had here Id call the place the average son rather than the good one. Atmosphere was nice, drinks were typically expensive for Toronto. Biggest disappointment really was the food. The pizza crust were very thick but the center of the pizza was legitimately liquid. You couldnt keep it from falling, spilling and drooping even when folding slices in half. For the price theres better options just doors away.

The entire experience was amazing, the food, the service and ambiance was unreal! We were seated right away, Jessah, our server, was so attentive and nice as well as the maître d David was very friendly. The food was SO GOOD! Best brunch I ve had in years, would recommend to anyone who loves great food at a reasonable price. My compliments to the Chef!!

Okay where do I start? My friend and I went during brunch. I was not expecting what I experienced when I walked up to this place. A friend and I picked it randomly just as a change from out notmal routine. When I first walked in it looked like a quaint little retro bakery or shop. Boy oh boy do they get you lol. When you enter the dinning area its so rustic and beautiful. It gives old gentlemen cigar club vibes. Armchairs and leather banquets for seating is so cozy its unreal. The service is amazing our server was able to suggest things to us geared to what we were telling her not just rattling off specials like other places. Another thing I appreciated was that she asked about allergies. Asked...without being prompted...I was so happy as I have a severe Shellfish allergy that I forget to mention sometimes (a lot of the time). The manager David was so warm and inviting not to mention attentive. He was making small talk with the patrons and just added to the already delightful atmosphere. As for the food, the menu is a nice fusion of italian, Thai, and Mexican. It sounds like a lot but is done so well it just makes sense. The seasonings were on point. Key thing fire burning oven!! It makes all the difference. There are non dairy options for coffee which was much appreciated. Youre not rushed to eat so that they can turn over the table, its all very natual. Feels like your at a friends dining room table. All around 10/10 definitely recommend! This restaurant has great fusion dishes. Far from the ordinary in flavor and atmosphere. I was there for brunch, I had a latte that was so good we stayed a little longer to enjoy another. Shared an order of sourdough light and toasty. We enjoyed our main of hevos rancheros and steak and eggs. Each dish had a signature sauce, elevating it from its traditional profile. Friendly staff, cant wait to go back and try a pizza from their wood fire stove. Definitely a must try!

Absolutely IN LOVE with the wall decor, couches and open windows at this spot. I couldn t stop staring at them and taking pictures. Such a wonderful place to be on a warm summer night. We had a margarita pizza at 10pm - service was great, pizza was decent and they brought over some lovely chilli oil. Cant wait to come back and try some more stuff :)

Cute date night spot that has some innovative starters and classic mains, but the flavours dont get too crazy so its a decent pick without venturing too far into the adventurous territory. A little on the pricey side. Pictured: torched scallop, warm grilled salad, oyster mushrooms, mushroom papardelle. Torched scallops and mushroom pasta were the standouts, but grilled salad and oyster mushrooms were quite tasty too. Including tax + tips, we paid about $100.

The hostess was very short and unwelcoming and our waitress was rude and had no idea how important customer service is. No smile no pleasantries just the odd short response to any inquiries we had. It was obvious both waitress and hostess did not want to be there tonight and it s a shame they projected this on to their customers. Cesar drinks and meals, extremely salty.

Absolutely love the ambiance of this place. Food was delicious - minus the steak & eggs as the steak was overcooked (minus 1 star for this). Salad and both types of eggs Benny were amazing. Cocktails also great.

Very overpriced but great ambiance, got the wagyu burger and it was very mid, definitely not worth the $34. Didn t get a chance to try drinks but they were priced somewhat standard ($15-$20). Overall ok experience but wouldn t go back for the food.

The decor and ambience were really amazing. Couldnt stop checking out the walls. The food was really good as well, the Brussel Sprouts were the best Ive ever had. Even my husband who Hates Brussel Sprouts enjoyed them. All the pizza options were good and I highly recommend the bulgogi short rib dinner. Was very good. The only down side was our waitress seemed miserable and service was severely lacking. However other staff were kind and we had no issues. Maybe she was just having a day Still recommend the place highly

A bit pricy, but great taste. I loved the spaghetti and my gf loved the pizza. It is not easy to satisfy my gf with food (esp since her choices are limited to halal options). Congratulations and thank you lol

Awesome Wagyu burger ! Order the Brussel Sprouts too. Funky interior. Great spot and will be back again when back in town from the West Coast! Maybeva good idea if you could substitute Fries though. Will bring my kids to have the best burger.

Had planned to order pizza from here based on an article I read. So, I had planned to order several pizzas from here for a get together this evening. I wanted to avoid an evening rush so I planned to order via Uber late afternoon. I had my order drafted earlier in the day. However, when I went to order I received the message Not Currently Accepting Orders. Seriously? On a Saturday? This establishment therefore does not seem to be geared up for the business and/or it doesnt really need the business. In any event, it kind of did me a favour. I ended up ordering pizzas from FBI on St. Clair. It turned out to be the best pizza Ive had in decades, and everyone loved it.

Had their steak and it was good. Great wine prices also

We went to try their Summerlicious 2023 menu, the flavours and presentation were great. Nothing out of the ordinary and just highly recommend the brussels sprouts (I do not normally eat it, but it tastes fantastic!) and bulgogi short ribs. Customer service needs a bit of work I would say, we had reservations on Sunday at 6:00 PM and there were not a lot of customers but it seems like they re in a rush and the other table next to us to leave.

Went for 2023 summerlicious not bad! Staff is nice and food was okay! Pasta portion could been bigger but the short rib was very filling ! Dessert was amazing tho ! The tiramisu and pannacotta was good !!!! Food

Pizza was really yummy. However, their cocktails were way too pricey for the quantity. I actually finished my cocktail in 2 sips which costed me $17. I will think again before going there.

Went to this place on Friday July 28th 2023. Punk rock lady at the front was seating people. I politely asked her, how do I get a patio spot? . She responds by asking me . Silence. I literally had to ask can I get a spot on the patio? , before she would acknowledge me further. She says, for 1 or 2? I said, 4. Taken by surprise, She coldly says well, the table needs to be cleared . After ignoring me and seating people(white/Caucasian) coming even after me, she goes to clear the table outside. Doesn t tell me to follow her. Finally she is done clearing the table and stands there. I go outside, and say thank you. She has no response. Walks away. Expect this level of drama to unfold for your dining pleasure if you come here; and get this punk rock princess. Expect the same level of friendliness . Just make sure you ask her , if you re getting the patio, not anyone else.

I asked the bartender to give me a minty refreshing drink but not a mojito or a classic cocktail! The bartender delivered and how! A drink made of mint cucumber watermelon lime with a mixture of white liquors, it was phenomenal, refreshing till the last sip! This is a highly recommended place!

We came for some cocktails and something small to eat as we were going somewhere else afterwards. We each got an appetizer (jerk chicken was very good and the oyster mushrooms were so so) and a dessert. My friend got the tiramisu and I had the white chocolate brownie. Both desserts were very disappointing. The tiramisu didnt have any taste of espresso or any liquor. My brownie was stone hard and not moist at all. Maybe next time if I go, Ill make sure Im hungry enough to try the pizza or burger since thats what most people were eating. Wheelchair accessibility: Bathrooms were on the same level. I cant remember if the entrance was accessible.

This restaurant is Highly recommended as one of the best pizza places in Canada. Unfortunately, I was disappointed. The pizza was good but nothing to return for. The fries were so small, it was frustrating to eat. Its almost like left over chards of fries. Flavor was decent!

Very delicious pizza! The Good Son has been on the list for a while and on a sunny day walking past their patio we had to try it! We got the Margherita, picante and spicy soppressata pizzas with the side salad. Just a perfect pie. Thin crust, but full delicious crust at the same time. Service was also great! Would love to come back and sit inside as it has a very charming interior! Prices are a bit high, but there are great weekday specials to try out.

Our waiter was rude. They had the audacity to serve us two fully burnt pizzas that we waited for an eternity, and then we had to send them back to cook fresh ones.

I have been to the Good Son many times pre-COVID, and the cheeseburger was juicy and wasnt thin, and it was so good. I went there last night and ordered the cheeseburger again. It was so dry, and I had to put ketchup on it - they treated like a smash burger. $24 for a dry burger wasnt worth it. I would have gone to either Union on Ossington or Burger Drop for their burgers.

Unfortunately it was not a good day for us to go, they were out of 3 dishes we ordered, including the weekly special.

Would rather order takeout and sit on the sidewalk than experience that kind of service. Empty restaurant takes 10 mins to be sat. Waited awhile to be acknowledged and brought waters - maybe another 15-20 mins sitting at an empty table. Our server for sure did not want to be there, she was not pleasant. No introduction no acknowledgement or apology for the wait on an obviously not busy evening (maybe 3 other tables in there). Brought us bills saying they weren t charging us for the wine and then brought a second bill saying nevermind. Would go somewhere else won t be going back again. Pizza itself was fine but service was a no

Our server was incredibly busy, so service was a bit slow, but she was incredible and hospitable and well composed in a busy time. Food was great. Our allergies were accommodated with care. Also have some interesting wines!

I visited on a Saturday night for my brother and sister s birthday with a group of about 15. Food was absolutely amazing however, getting service and drinks were an issue. It took 50 minutes to get our first round of drinks, many of which were just pops and draft beer. When the first round of drinks were finally dropped off, we immediately ordered a second round of drinks. After waiting another 20 minutes for the second round of drinks, a few of us went next door to Dog & Bear, grabbed a drink, came back and our drinks still weren t ready. When asked to speak to a manager, they said she was the only bartender for the night so she couldn t be on the floor. Coming from the hospitality industry, I understand being short staffed and needing to wait a bit longer for drinks with a larger group, but 50 minutes for some beers and a few cocktails with no communication from our server is not acceptable. We unfortunately won t be back despite the delicious food that managed to somewhat salvage our experience.

The food was good, we got the ribs, the mushroom pappardelle, the beef tartare and the brussel sprouts. The tartare was a bit underwhelming in both portion size, taste and the price paid. All other dishes were on point, definitely hitting the spot. The service, however, was disengaged and inattentive, I had to track down the waiter to get some water as my glass stayed empty for over 10 minutes and we were there before rush hour, so only 5-6 more tables were occupied. The Good Son has a lot of potential, thanks to its charming ambiance and delectable cuisine. However, the service aspect of the experience fell far short of expectations. With improvements in staff training and efficiency, this could easily become a top-notch dining destination. Until then, it remains a place where you may enjoy the surroundings and food but should be prepared for a less-than-stellar service experience.

The Good Son has a cool ambiance. We liked our server, he gave good recommendations and was quite attentive. We ordered the mushroom pappardelle and TGS Burger, both good but the pappardelle was definitely the fav - it had great flavour. I ordered the Dangerous in Love drink, really good but considering the price it was quite small. Will definitely return to try Sunday brunch!

This is such a great spot in the area. The atmosphere and interior is incredible along with the food. The service was meh/not the best. Although, I believe it was the specific server with us that lacked the service as the rest of the staff clearing plates and refilling water was on top of it. Overall, I highly recommend. Great cocktail list too!

We enjoyed the meal, food came quickly and tasted great but the service wasn t great. We and other customers around us had to constantly fill our own waters from the waiter stand. For how few people were in the restaurant it was disappointing.

I had a fantastic night with friends at Good Son Restaurant in Toronto. The staff was kind, and the pizza and beers were awesome. Highly recommended!

Our first visit to Good Son was on a Wednesday when they had a pizza special going....so we opted for the pizzas with an app and some drinks. The drinks were spot on. The pizzas were good...priced very well with the special. What really stood out about our experience at the restaurant was the attention to detail and exceptional service by the staff. Just awesome service. Well be back....and cant wait to sample other options on the Menu.

Bulgogi short ribs were amazing, it tasted just as I had imagined. Rice, veggies, and sauce that came with it was also perfect. Service was ok, a bit inattentive sometimes.. Their fries were way too salty though, was strange. I also had the tiramisu, it was very good but nothing out of the ordinary, was standard.

Not worth the hype in my opinion. Brussel sprouts were the highlight, everything else was disappointing. They are covered in a unique, very tasty sauce but the portion size doesn t match the $16 cost. My friend and I both got pizzas for our mains. The spicy soppressata was good but my friend s pesto mushroom pizza was very burnt and oily. Neither of them worth the price. Pizzeria Libretto or Revolver have heaps better pizzas that are less money. Service was poor, we hardly saw our waitress and it took 30+ min from when we finished our starter until the pizzas came.

Avoid at all costs.

Good Son is always a solid choice. Ive brought plenty of people from out of town here and have celebrated personal occasions here as well! I could eat the bulgogi short ribs kimchi fried rice every day. Ive done the group tasting menu and that was also delcious.

I came to the Good Son for brunch with my gril freinds after visiting the CAMH Toronto Flower Market. We stumbled upon this place randomly and it was perfect. It has a calssy atmoshpere, and clean washrooms. I got the brunch and it was delicious. I would come back here just for the food.
