Food was ok, nothing surprised me. Christina the manager was unpleasant and giving us some attitude when we asked if the food was ready since we waited for 45 mins. The resto wasn t even that busy. Melissa (the server) on the other hand was nice and accommodating. Thank you for the lovrly service, Melissa! Food 8/10 Service 10/10 Poor Management 0/10 if there s lesser than zero I would have given it to the manager who isn t well trained to entertain guests. Overall I wont be eating here anymore going to be my first and last visit.

it s always a pleasure to come to this location. I live in ajax but refuse to go to any other location than this one. The staff and managers always make my visit so pleasant with their amazing customer service, and the chefs always perfect my meal each time. Simone was absolutely amazing she is friendly, attentive and always there if i need her service.

Our server Patrick was phenomenal. He was polite, attentive and very very well spoken. He made sure to accommodate any and all requests we had and answered any and all of our questions, as well as recommending dishes that were his personal favorite.

Food was great, and came out coursed with great timing. Our server Melissa was impeccable and made the evening so much more enjoyable.

I went here last night to celebrate my mom s birthday. The place was very busy, but they still managed to serve our food promptly and with great quality. Our server, Kelly, did an excellent job she really made us feel cared for. The complimentary birthday dessert was a wonderful touch and definitely the highlight. Thank you for a memorable experience; we ll definitely be back soon!

Came here for dinner last night and must say that I havent been to this location for years and probably wont be back. Lets start with service, wont paste her name her but name starts with an S. She was just so nonchalant even after telling her we were celebrating our anniversary. Food; it was just so dry and bland. Weve been to many other locations before, especially frequent Ajax and Oshawa, and their service and quality of food are top notch compared to Scarborough. For example, other locations would offer different kinds of butter with the bread and our server didnt even take the time to quickly provide these options. Felt like she just kept pushing other items from the menu on us and only asked basic questions (I.e. hows the food? Do you need anything else?) to simply put, she doesnt have much personality unlike many others weve encountered from The Keg before. We were going to grab dessert, but because of the overall experience, we didnt want to waste any more time or money.

So noisy you cant hear each other talk. This place has gone WAY downhill since the pandemic. And the washrooms are smelly and disgusting.

Came here last night to celebrate my mother s birthday and we enjoyed everything ! Our server Danielle was amazing , very attentive and very accommodating. Our hostess Claudia was also amazing and very polite ! Beautiful experience at this location and it s a great atmosphere. We enjoyed everything and will definitely be back :) Great place to celebrate your birthday !

I understand this may come off melodramatic.. but last night when we visited a comment from the server early into our experience ruined the tone of the evening. When asked if we were celebrating anything my partner told the server, Melanie, we were out for our one month anniversary. Sparing you the back story this is an exciting milestone in a new relationship. The server laughed and sarcastically said wow.. super long time and my partner was mortified. She tried to back pedal when she saw his face and suggested it s a generational difference but it made the rest of the dinner feel awkward when we interacted with our server. I m not sure if she was trying to be funny but it really killed the mood and felt unprofessional for a restaurant that is aimed at upscale/fine dining. Food was awesome but would ve been a better experience without the judgment. Will probably just choose a different location in future.

I used to consider this location the worst keg in the city, but they have definitely changed that for the better. I would now say this is one of the better places I Scarborough hands down. Ive had a better experience here than my last visit to Habour 60, which was 3x the cost. This Keg serves consistently good steak cooked to perfection! I would highly recommend this Keg for anyone in the area. ***UPDATE *** Since I posted this review, I have returned to this location 3 additional times, and the quality has diminished substantially. My last experience, I ordered a prime rib and my wife a New York steak. The prime rib was so poorly seasoned (yes, I used the au jus), extremely fatty, and had a foul taste that I was not able to have more than 2 bites and could not eat anymore. I love prime rib and have ordered it in many different restaurants, and I have never had one taste so bad. The server advised me that this seems to happen on Sundays as the remaining steaks seem to be of lesser quality come the end of the week. The New York was decent but a little thin for our liking, which causes a lack of sear on the outside if trying to keep it medium rare. Id also advise Not ordering the Calamari as it is definitely frozen, Very tough and dry. This last experience has been consistent with the last 3 visits, and frankly, I can no longer keep a positive review for this location. My wife and I go out for steak a few times a month, and this location is at the bottom of our list now. The service is hit and miss. One time our server was nowhere to be found that we needed to ask other servers for assistance and another time the server brought out the wrong side and by the time the correct sides were brought out the steak was done.

We had a really good time. Olivia was our host and did really great. We will be here again soon. Highly recommend.

Yesterday, 11Oct.24, we went for dinner at Keg, Estate Drive . Our main course was Rib steak & Lobster tail, both were prepared to perfection. But the warm bread served to us had a hair in it. We brought to the attention of the server, not even a apology from her, all she asked was can I bring a another. After dinner I ordered for a Irish crème coffee, when coffee was severed it was lukewarm, not hot at all and no cream either, very disappointing. When I brought to the attention of server, she I asked whether to warm the coffee or to bring a new one. No apology aging. BTW we were not charged for the coffee and bread. I have been to Keg in the past but looks like the standard on service has gone done. Staff should be trained properly

For a place that only does steak. This is by far the worst keg ive been too. Im not sure what kind of grade of steak you guys get but aint no way this is triple A and so chewy. They got the entire order wrong for the table of 4. My friends dad ordered well done. He got medium, her daughter ordered medium well. And she got medium rare. My partner ordered medium and literally got rare close to blue. It was only me that got the right order which was medium rare. Although the steak quality was truely unacceptable for $50? I can get better steak at a crappy grocery store and cook it way better myself. It was unbelievable chewy. And the steak knives we got. Were insanely dull. I could of used a butter knife and it would do a better job. Not to mention the rice n mushroom was horrible. Undercooked rice. Was crunchy and dry. Had no flavor. Anyways the keg i use to go to had way better steak quality. Never once i had a bad experience with the keg. But this one. Needs some better management. Sloppy af. Washroom floors are also sticky af. What do you guys clean the floor with? Glue? Yoh know The rules of the restaurant. If the bathroom is dirty. Than you know the state of the actual kitchen. _____y

Great food, terrible service. Dined at this Keg location last week for a birthday. I struggled a bit to write this review - the food was delicious but the service was terrible. My family and I have visited quite a few Keg Restaurants in and around Toronto/GTA so I have a good understanding of what to expect. Service-wise, this location was not consistent with other locations. Firstly, my son was with us and the waitress upon entry didnt provide us with crayons or anything to keep him busy - we had to ask for it towards the end of his meal. Speaking of meals, my sons meal came with a drink and that was not provided to us until we asked for it, again, it came after the meal was done. This was a consistent theme during the course of dinner; we had to remind the waitress to bring us basic things that should have been provided - ketchup, my wife asked for hot sauce and it never came, never received my soda refill. We never had an opportunity to order coffee/tea because by the time the waitress came to ask us no one wanted it anymore. Until the service improves at this location Ill be staying away.

We had a truly unbelievable meal here with a great host by the name of Patrick. It was my wife s birthday, he was accommodating and the food spoke for itself. Great Location!

On this occasion, we did not have one of their signature steals but chose salmon and burgers. The food was good enough, but something was missing. Perhaps the lack of culinary imagination. The Keg was just being another formula restaurant in the realm of the chain eateries.

You can t go wrong with this place. The service is amazing and the food is fantastic. We go here every time we celebrate birthdays of our Family members. We had Andrew as our server twice now and he s been great with his service.

I treated my 94 y.o. mother to dinner while visiting from Vancouver. We both loved pir food: she ad the Pistachio-crusted Salmon (on my recommandation, as I have had it a few times) and I had a 7 oz. Filet Mignon, perfectly cooked to order, very rare. The best steak I have had in a while. I asked for Bordelaise sauce and thank goodness, because the Bernaise sauce it comes with was terrible! I was very surprised by this - at other Keg locations I have been to in Vancouver, its been fine. We shared the fall menu offering of Sticky Toffee Pudding, which is a favourite for both of us, and something that was on the dessert menu at one of the fine dining restaurants where I was the assistant pastry chef. In that context: the Kegs version was tasty, but much too light for proper sticky toffee pudding; the cake itself should be denser and the sauce thicker and more of it. It was served with a small scoop of vanilla ice cream, which is fine, but so instantly melted because they served the dessert in a warm cast iron dish. Mistake. Better to warm the cake separately and plate it properly, IMPO. Our server, whose name of course is now foggy, but I want to say Alex (?) - tall, and in my mothers words, very handsome, was very nice and helpful with my questions, lol. The Keg has become rather pricey, and I reserve it for special occasions now, which is a shame, as my own family in Vancouver used to go there much more often. So yes, I would return, but not for a casual, lets grab a bite meal. Vegetarian options: Not a great place for vegetarians, but certainly doable.

This is one of the most low vibe decoration The Keg that I had visit so far in their restaurant chain throughout Canada. The decoration & vibes here is so boring, more of a family restaurant vibe than places for couples to have date night out The server here is not really friendly especially the ones at the front, they was only focus on their phone when we enter the restaurant but the manager was amazing! I ordered the lobster & terriyaki steak medium rare dish but the steak come out rare and the manager is act on quickly and checking in on us after replace the dishes to make sure the rest of our experience was great. The food here was okay, better than the downtown castle location. The parking is extremely hard to find if you go during the peak hours, there is only 2 spots left at the back which you need to walk quite far when we were there at 7ish on Friday night Overall experience: 7/10

My husband and I went out for date night last night and The Keg is always our go-to, but last night was absolutely spectacular. Our server Nicolina was absolutely amazing!! At first we were a bit disappointed because the baked brie and the summer feature bone marrow were no longer on the menu, but Nicolina took the time to go over the lobster feature menu and recommend some appetizers to us! My husband is allergic to shellfish so we couldnt have anything on that menu and as soon as we let Nicolina know that she ensured she would let the kitchen know about the allergy and let us know about her recommendations of appetizers from the regular menu. We decided to go with her recommendation of the escargot and she even gave us an extra appetizer bun for it. It. Was. Amazing!! My husband wanted the prime rib but it was coming out medium well so he took her recommendarion of the new york. He didnt want the peppercorn crusted new york but Nicolina still gave him a side of the whiskey sauce that usually only comes with the peppercorn. I got the rib steak - always my go-to at The Keg - and Nicolina asked if I had ever had the garlic confit butter. I didnt even know that was an option and she brought out a serving complimentary so I could try it. It really changed my already stellar review of the rib steak! As usual, the kitchen did not disappoint. Thank you Nicolina for the amazing experience!

This is my go-to place for social gatherings with good friends. We are always treated quickly and efficiently with friendly staff and fairy helpful service. The portions are generous, and the service is always excellent. I had the New York Strip my friendhad the Top Sirloin, and it melted like butter!! Im so thankful for the mini crème brûlé because after such a fabulous meal, having a little taste for desert is perfect!!

I am really upset about tonight s reservations , the store was out of service but made the reservation already but no one no message informed me , so we drove far far Away to the location but told us out of service .

We had a phenomenal experience at this location of the Keg. Our waiter (Arith? Im sorry I cant remember exactly) was friendly, attentive and gave amazing recommendations. We had our young overtired kids with us and he went above and beyond to make sure they were served fast and us parents remained happy too. His attention to detail and friendly conversation was a great touch too. The food was fresh, portion sizes were great and the drinks complemented everything too. Our kids loved the kids menu as well. Overall, a great experience!

Went here for my partners birthday, it was a really great meal & we were with my brother in law and his family. Our server was really friendly and did everything to make our meal even better including giving our nephew a little bowl of his own ice cream when the cake had come out for the birthday celebration. 10/10 experience that server really deserves more & is a really great human Kid-friendliness: Our nephew is autistic & our server & other guests at the restaurant were very understanding & accepting of him .. there were no issues at all and we all had a great time

A bit of a late review, but I went to this Keg location on Mother s Day with my family and saying it was an unpleasant experience is an understatement. Throughout our reservation service was slow and dining at the high top tables was quite uncomfortable, but it was Mother s Day so we understood why the accommodations were less than ideal. After waiting 50 minutes for our food, three of our tables steaks were all cooked wrong. We ordered two of them medium well and they came out rare. Upon expressing these concerns to the manager replacement steaks were made, but this meant another long wait time. The three replacement steaks were finally brought out, and once again were cooked wrong, and after cutting them were swimming in a pool of beef blood (as pictured once removing the steak from the plate). We expressed our concerns with the manager and it was removed from the bill, but that night my mother and father went home without a meal, without eating dinner, and with my mother having an awful Mother s Day. I understand that the holiday occasion made the restaurant busier, but a steakhouse should be able to cook a steak properly, especially after 4 attempts.

Went here as it was a birthday treat, I ordered the blackened chicken and I was bloody amazing. In our group we had one with an allergic reaction to mushrooms, and they were well looked after, it was like they had their own chef. Well done keg team. The rest of the food was delicious and so was the birthday cake .

First off I want to say the food was excellent and so was our server. I made the reservation for a party of 8 almost a month in advanced and SPECIFICALLY ask for a quiet kind of private spot. I called in 3 times over the course of my reservation to confirm and state that I wanted a private/quiet spot. Originally they told me I would be seated in the lower level next to a party of 16. I called on the Monday to do a final confirmation of the reservation as this was for a suprise party. Not only did they call me 20min before my reservation while we were driving and spoiling the suprise... but there idea of a quiet and somewhat private spot was right next the the F--kin kitchen door were all the servers were constantly going in and out occasionally hitting my chair while I was eating. This in my opinion was done on purpose or goes to show the lack of professionalism in managing staff. I would definitely not recommend this location to my friends or colleagues. Is a month not adequate time enough to have proper seating...they didnt even sit me where they said initially... Maybe place people by the toilets next time...probably more private...

This was THE WORST KEG experience I have ever had. You would assume that since its a franchise, the quality and standards would be the same? WRONG Please give your cook some cooking lessons, for the love of God, just google, watch some cooking YouTube videos because this meal was pathetic (I am being extra nice here because the meal was actually bad bad like....never will i ever eat here bad). Are you allergic to spices? I mean....salt may be? Pepper? The sauces on the side were barely saving this horrific meal. Filet mignon- tasteless piece of meat wrapped in undercooked bacon (are you freaking kidding me? You couldnt cook the bacon so it at least doesnt LOOK RAW?) Sautéed vegetables- my fork couldnt GO THROUGH the giant RAW pieces of carrot. I was CRUNCHING chewing your sauteed vegetables...you dont know how to sautee veggies? At KEG? They were lacking any flavour, salt, anything...it tasted like that dinner they used to serve in a nursing home I worked at. Im lying, the nursing home vegetables were actually bursting with flavour compared to this excuse of a side dish. Yes, a nursing home cooks better than this upscale KEG. Salmon- did you forget the maple glaze all together? Where is the flavour? Salt? Pepper? Anything? This was so ridiculous it wasnt even funny. And this is the standard for a meal in UPSCALE restaurant? This KEG location is by far the worst. Bread and butter and water and wine and mash was good Service was good too, our waitress was lovely, : ) The meal was pathetic. 140 bucks and I left hungry, severely disappointed and felt ripped off. Never will I ever come back to this place.

Ive always liked the Keg but this particular location is the best if you just feel like having steak and arent organized enough to make a reservation. Even when busy we have never had to wait more than 15 minutes for a table. Nice ambience, friendly staff and very good service. The food is excellent and their steaks are always done to perfection. Prices are not what I would call cheap but comparable to other similar mid range steakhouses. You really cant go wrong with the Keg if you are looking for a good steak dinner in a nicer setting.

First of All ! It seems like it has become a date hub. All the people who are there to impress their dates instead of Food quality. Food is OK but the portion sizes are debatable, definitely on the expensive side. Staff is excellent, helpful and knowledgeable. Ambiance was ok.. It felt cramped, dont expect privacy.. Whole time I was there, A man on the table next was trying to make the best rich man imppression on his date but did not succeed.. I do not drop an eave usually but, well, an hour of sitting 3 feet across, you hear unwanted things. Overall good experience. Go there once.m Atleast and form your own opinion.

Service, atmosphere, drinks, salads, and steaks were all great. However, the vegetables that accompanied our meal were only luke warm. I dont think it was a case of cooling off on the way from the kitchen to our table, but a case of not arriving on the plate piping hot. I realize theyre probably par-cooked, but they werent heated up adequately before being sent our way. It was disappointing. Wheelchair accessibility: Yes.

Best keg Ive been to in a while good portions none of these half plates. Nailed my Chicago medium rare ant the veggie assortment was awesome everything from pepers to asparagus broccoli and beets even sautéed mushrooms and not to mention the staff was really on point highly recommend

The menu choices were aplenty, the special drink choices wonderful and our food was extremely tasty and beautifully plated! The highlight of our evening though, was meeting Melissa, our lovely server for the evening! From the time we sat down, Melissa went beyond the call of duty by suggesting menu/drink choices which might work for us. Melissas energy was wonderful!...Friendly, helpful and by evenings end, we felt like family!. The Keg is so lucky to have such an employee! The icing on the top was the Billy Miner Pie we shared as a dessert...to die for! A lovely evening was had and we will be back...thank you so much!

Went there for lunch on a weekday.The staff is always so friendly and they keep checking up on you. Always smiling and Knowledgeable. I was having a rough week. It was my birthday. We didn t order any cake. We asked for the bill and the waitress brought me a slice of cake with a candle. It wasn t necessary and was totally unexpected. But a really nice gesture. Put a big smile on my face. I didn t catch the waitress name because there was so much on my mind. But I wanted to say Thank you. This place is family friendly, there is always parking. Recommend to reserve a table.

The food was absolutely amazing but our server, Anthony was the highlight of the evening! He was so personable, informative and friendly...he made our evening very special!

very very disappointing probably never come to this location again !!! Excited to get prime rib and this is the 2nd time this location has no prime rib !!!!! Not right at all if your not going to offer prime rib then they should notify us before sitting down an ordering. Never come or recommend this location on estate drive in Scarborough again

The staff here are amazing! We came here last night to have drinks for my husbands birthday & the bar staff were great. They were both so attentive, super friendly, and happy. We had such a great experience and really appreciated the time they took helping my husband find the beer he liked the best. Thank you.

Service 10/10 Atmosphere _ 10/10 The service levels at this place is top notch. Robbie is amazing. Recos _ filet mignon, prime rib , Nee York pepper steak Double baked potato ( spud ) Pina colada _ too heavy on the ice. Mango Daiquiri _ great ones .

Outstanding food, with the double lobster tails and the Keg burger! Had the Keg sauce on the side for my burger. Sharon was super attentive during our dinner! Made sure to order dessert, the Miners Pie was definitely a share for three (3)!

Pretty good. I mean the inside could use a renovation. Its not very cozy like most kegs these days. Its a little bit more like a sports bar than a nicer steak restaurant. We went there for my friends birthday and of course they give you the free birthday cake

Very unfortunate that we came to celebrate my dad s birthday and left with disappointment. 2 out of 4 meals were prepared well and cooked to perfection however 2 meals were unacceptable. One steak was so tough it wasn t overcooked but this cut was very hard to cut and then to chew it was even worse it wouldn t break down as you chewed it so my sister ended up just sharing the food from mine. We told the waiter and they just offered a new one but at this point we didn t want to wait for a new one to come out and yet they didn t even comp that meal when clearly it wasn t eaten she only ate the sides. Then my mom had 2 lobster tails which were an extremely chewy and overcooked however was able to still consume it but that was only because we were all starving. We had reservations for 815 and arrived at 8 and it took well over a hour to get our food. We had to ask the waiter if we were going to get our food tonight? The waiter had to go back 3 times to check on our food and just kept offering us more bread but we didn t come to a steakhouse for bread! Our bill was $350 and left disappointed. Yes we were offered for 2 of the meals to be redone however if it took OVER a hour to get our meal why would we wait for another already starving. There s a lot of other steakhouses worth going to and avoid the disappointment and poor service

Love coming to The Keg for their Escargot, billly miner pie and the limited time bone marrow chimichur. The staff are a hit and miss and their bar and dining area needs more aesthetic upgrade. Food

My family went here yesterday for dinner... Worst experience ever after going here for over 15-20 years. I went in and did a walk-in reservation. I was advised it could take up to 2.5 hours, which I didnt even complain about. I sat in the 1 chair they provide in the front with my daughter patiently waiting (I didnt think it would take that long considering there were tons of empty tables - it was about 5pm). About 10 minutes later, our parents arrived and asked the front desk if there was a table yet and within about 5 minutes we were placed at a table, but it came with caveats. We had to eat and leave before 615pm, they also said that they would start asking us to leave if it got closer to 615 (super unprofessional), and that we had to eat and leave... Seriously? Were paying easily over $250 and were on a time limit and have to stuff our food down? This isnt even the worst part... At about 615, the light at our table starting flickering and dimming (only ours) as if it was a sign to leave. We literally ate dessert in the dark, I couldnt even feed my daughter because of lack of light. The absolute worst experience eating at any establishment!! I hope they read this and reach out, this was such a trashy experience!

Went to our favorite Keg location on March16 as a group of six. Place was popping as usual on a Saturday evening. My wife ordered Salmon, the rest of us ordered 6oz, 8oz(3) and 12oz Keg Classic Combos. However on this night we encountered a few miscues, Veggies(Broccoli, Beets, Mushrooms), we were given two of three and had to share our veggies amongst each other, Server addressed no Beets and Mushrooms, when notified, and was surprised the veggies were missing. Veggies(especially Broccoli), Beets as well were undercooked. 12oz Peppercorn Steak sauce.was missing. Server did ask if everything was OK when meals arrived but my family did not want to cause any issues. Steak knife missing from table. Garlic Mashed Potatoes (which we luv) were clumpy. Steaks were perfect as usual and Billy Miner Pie still hits the spot. For a place that usually gets the little things right, I hope the Keg was just having an off night. Well be back. Vegetarian options: Veggie dishes like Vegan Meat Loaf plus more are available. Parking: Across street, one minute walk.
