I made a reservation at the keg mansion for 5:30 PM for my mom s birthday. We arrived early, and they sat us no problem, which was nice. We have been many times before, and we like sitting upstairs near the bar at a table where we can eat comfortably. We have been to different kegs across Toronto, but we prefer the mansion because of their good service and good atmosphere. Last night, however, the service was lacking. Our server was polite enough, but not as as attentive as we had hoped. We were left alone with empty drinks, one of our food orders never arrived, and my 10 ounce prime rib was incredibly dry. I had ordered a medium cooked prime rib and was not given a steak knife (I ve had it before and it was delicious, and was given a steak knife). We were not checked on when our food arrived, but if we were, we would ve had the opportunity to mention this. I noticed that the table beside us had the same server, and he was very attentive to every need that they had. My mom did not even want to stay for her cake. Thankfully, I spoke to the manager downstairs after paying our bill. Her name was Maria and she was lovely and very understanding (I do not like making a fuss). I know it s the holidays and it can get stressful and very busy in the restaurant. She apologized for our night and gave us our cake to go. We should ve sat downstairs since the service might have been better - be aware next time you go, even if you have been before!

After 20+ years of diniing here I was appalled. The steak was 60% waste, fat and gristle. The roast beef was overdone and 50% waste. DO NOT EAT HERE. There is no quality control

We arrived at 7:10pm and immediately our service was very slow .The sever attempted to serve a table of white men ahead of a table of black individuals which I found to be very shocking. At 9:17pm , we still had not eaten anything yet.

With a 6:45 reservation we were seated at 7:10 pm. Everyone around us are, drank, left and new people were seated before our order was even taken. When we asked for service we were told a new table of patrons were waiting to place their orders and we were asked to wait 5 more minutes. As a table of 12 celebrating a friends 40th birthday this was extremely disappointing, insulting and offensive. Its 9:20 pm and still no food.

I love the Keg! This is my first time at the Mansion. Beautiful atmosphere. We arrived at 7:15 it s 9:16 still waiting for my food. Bread is great as always but I can only eat so much. I should mention at 9pm we finally got our water refilled. I ll rate the food if it comes in the next 1/2 hour. I have a headache I m hungry.Should have stopped at Tim s. Update. The food arrived. I m not sure if it was level of hunger that made everything taste really good or the chef. I enjoyed the blackened chicken . But definitely sticking to my local Keg.

I would like to say that the service at this establishment is impeccable. From walking in, to being presented to our table to our AMAZING waitress Chantal!! She was an absolute joy, attentive, efficient and just the warmest personality!! With that being said unfortunately, we were underwhelmed by our steak, for a medium it was pretty cooked, the taste wasnt bad we just expected the doneness to be a little bit different. We also had the calamari and crab cakes which my partner who hates seafood loved also our icecream cake desert (Billy Miner Pie) was too die for!! Overall a great experience and once again another shout out to the welcoming staff and our waitress Chantal, thank you!!

Amazing Thank you Food

Our waiter was Amir. He is a great, polite guy and he gives good recommendations for food and drinks. It s my second experience in this Keg location and I will definitely recommend it. Food

The location is great, the 2nd floor seating I prefer it is a bit more comfortable. I ve been coming to this location since the last 90 s; the food and service were better in the past. Lately the steaks disappoint from previous years. Although I did try the Caesar brussel sprouts a new addition to the menu and it was delicious. The chicken Caesar salad is always a good choice.

Where do I even start. The Keg Mansion is a classic. If you are looking for incredible food, UNTOUCHABLE atmosphere, and top notch service look no further. This place gets busy and stays busy (for obvious reasons) so make sure you make a reservation in advance. It was VERY busy when we showed up but the staff was were so professional and guided us up to the bar to have a drink as we wait for our available table. Our server was Brandon, this man had jokes, was professional, and knew what we wanted before we even ordered. So kind and make our experience here one of a kind. The Manager Maria, gave us a check in and was so lovely sharing history of the building. She added the cherry on top of our already amazing experience. This place IS haunted, make sure you read about the history before coming so you can take in every picturesque location within the charming building. Ask your server for the ghost book and read other people s experience and maybe YOU even might be the next to add to the book. We enjoyed the creamy/ cheesy garlic bread to start, the burger and the 12oz sirloin. They offered incredible sauces to pair with our meals and we tried all of them. Safe to say nothing was left on our plates! Such an incredible night and we will be back and we will be telling our friends to come back as well!

Had the most incredible experience at The Keg Mansion, and I have to give a huge shoutout to our server, Jonah. It was my boyfriend s first time visiting, and we were there to celebrate a special occasion. Jonah went above and beyond to make our evening unforgettable his service was top-notch, and he made us feel so welcome and taken care of. We tried the holiday menu, which Jonah highly recommended, and it was absolutely delicious! Every dish was cooked to perfection. The atmosphere was also perfect for a celebratory dinner cozy yet elegant. Overall, it was a fantastic experience, and we can t wait to return. Thanks again to Jonah and the other staff for making the evening so special!

I was served by a female that had red/ginger hair and she was extremely rude. I also tipped her when I shouldn t have and she did not say thank you either. She had a very bad attitude, fix it.

Overall happy with dinner. Just wish when you ask for Filet MW they didnt give you the thinnest one they can find. Be sure to ask for regular thickness if you like it MW. Especially when youre paying this much.

Booked a table for eight for my partners birthday. It was fine but the table was insufficiently staffed, although our server was great. He was hamstrung by poor scheduling / management. Arriving at 7:45, mains didnt hit the table until 10:05, and its not that we held the table for a couple rounds of drinks before ordering. If you have a larger booking pre-scheduled by a couple weeks, please staff accordingly. If you cant staff accordingly due to labour supply or bottom line concerns, Im sure there is someone higher up in your corporate structure you dont need or who doesnt need to be making as much.Thanks.

Really nice steak dinner. A bit disappointed they didnt offer any complementary dessert as we were celebrating a birthday. Every other keg location has done so in the past.

I rarely (maybe never - feel free to check my history) post a negative review, and its possible that the young lady working at the hostess station was just having a bad day or maybe I rubbed her the wrong way so Im generally willing to give the benefit of the doubt. Nevertheless, after a long day at work, I was so excited to sit at a small table near the bar and drink a few drinks and work on the computer while waiting for my dinner guest. First Im told, thats impossible - you must wait for your guests at the bar. Then I was told I can sit at a table but I need to close out my tab before I move - ok no problem... This isnt my first time leaving the house and dining in an establishment. So I get there and Im told there are no tables at the bar... I should sit at the bar and wait 20 minutes or so until a table becomes available. Ok... I make my way upstairs to the bar, where there are not only tables available but, in fact, only a single guest sitting at any of them. Returning to the hostess, I am told, we dont have enough staff. So I decided to wait by the hostess stand and while I do so, Im thinking, All I want to do is spend about $100 on drinks and snacks before dinner and then another realistically $400 on dinner with my dad and these people cant even let me sit at a table and have a drink. So I left. Im sure the adequately tattooed and self-righteous hostess had some great idea about how she was serving the best interests of the restaurant or maybe I just caught her at a bad time or she didnt like my sneakers or something. Nevertheless, I guess that was my first and last trip to the Keg Mansion lol So comfortably sitting at Barbarians now and I already have my first Makers Mark old fashioned in front of me. Yumz For what its worth: Ive never had a bad experience at Keg Y&E nor any other for that matter. Update: got reply from restaurant (see below) - Im not looking for a gift card or something. I just wanted to share my experience because people who spend their (frankly) hard-earned money at ostensibly nice-ish restaurants probably prefer to go places where they are warmly welcomed and accommodated. I dont need to speak with a member of the customer service team lol Update 2: tried to go back a year later. Same horrible service. Back at Barberians for an incredible dinner (a little more expensive but way worth it). Will go to Leslie and York Mills or Y&E Keg in the future, no problem. This place just stiiiiiinks.

My favourite Keg of them all! Loved it so much we went twice this week, just to experience the second floor. I have to give two big thumbs up to a couple of the staff. Thank you Peter, although we were not the table you were serving, when we asked a little about the history of the building, or if you had seen photos pre restaurant, you definitely went above and beyond to get us a book with some information and bring it back to us, the haunted experiences were so neat to read. Thank you for that. To our server Danica, we appreciate not only the excellent service, but also some local history of the Keg and the Massey family house next door, it was so interesting. We werent there to celebrate anything special, Infact, quite the opposite, so I would like to thank you both for taking the time out of your busy evening for that extra customer service. It really helped take our mind off other things tonight and you both contributed to more of an experience for us, rather than just dinner- thank you!

Honestly The Keg is one of my fav restaurants and The Mansion on Jarvis is the best one. However, service can be slow at times. My sides came cold and my special request on OpenTable was ignored. I reiterated it at the restaurant and then still ignored it. That said, I cant punish the restaurant in my review for just a single incident. Highly recommended.

Vegetarian options: Loved the Veg Pie, but definately needs more veggie options please! Food

Server was such a nice lady, food was not good, steaks came out on a hot plate but it was borderline cold and we over ordered thinking the food would be decent. Espresso martini was the best thing we got! Food

This place is good but not that good! 4 out of 5 for the price. Service lady was very nice! I was one of the first so plenty of attention. Ordered prime rib with brocolli and twice baked potato. Good for my average tasting skills.

I celebrated my birthday here, my girlfriend made the reservation, the food was delicious, the atmosphere was very nice, and the service was very good, I would go back to see if I can meet the ghost that haunts the house. I forgot about the piece of cake they gave me, delicious!

Love this place. But 2nd time the person at the front was rude and didnt offer to seat me at the bar upstairs while i waited for my table. Then when i go up anyways i see the bar is empty and there are dozens of empty tables. U need to stop the power play of your front door staff, always offer people a seat at the bar, and make them behave. Other than that love this place.

We all know how great The Keg is. My review is specific to the amazing experience we had from our server, Jonah. From the moment we sat down, his warm and welcoming demeanour set the tone for what would be a fun and memorable evening. It was the first night out with our 6 month old boy, Killian, and Jonah immediately engaged Dad Mode by going above and beyond with service, including taking the little lad off our hands (so we could eat as a couple for five minutes) to check out the fun art work and decor in this one-of-a-kind location. We celebrated my husband s birthday at The Keg Mansion, and it was a wonderful experience! The New York Steak was perfectly cooked, and the burger was juicy and fresh. For his birthday, they surprised us with a Billy Miner Pie, which was a delicious treat creamy mocha ice cream with a crunchy chocolate crust.The service was excellent, and the mansion s historic atmosphere added a special touch. Highly recommend!

It is truly a mesmerizing mansion with different ambients. We went to celebrate a friends birthday and we had a great time. The food was very good. Beef was superior quality, and the time between order and serving was impressive, considering we were a table of 14 people. Our waiter Jonah went above and beyond with everything we needed. His attention to detail and excellent customer service made our night a very pleasant one. Prices on food are fair, leaning to the expensive side; prices on cocktails are good.

The dinner & atmosphere were amazing the only issue was our service was a little slow while we waited for our bill.

The food was alright, mashed potatoes were very bland and the amount of food you get is minimal. We were there for our 10th Wedding Anniversary visiting our daughter in Toronto who is in the NICU as a micro-preemie baby, so it was nice to be near her. The best part? MIGUEL the waitor was fantastic! He made us feel at home knowing he was from our hometown where we live and he was fantastic at his job - we couldnt have been happier with him. Keg Mansion is a great experience.

I am writing to express my deep disappointment with the service my family and I received during our visit to The Keg Mansion on October 13, 2024. We were celebrating a very special occasion, my parents 55th anniversary, after they traveled from abroad, and unfortunately, our experience was far from what we expected considering that we came to this location specifically. The issues began early in the evening. After placing our order and receiving our drinks (water), we waited over 25 minutes without being served the bread and butter that typically accompanies a meal. We called a manager, Kelly, to address the issue, but instead of responding courteously, Kelly was dismissive and rude, questioning whether we even wanted bread and arguing with us. This attitude set a negative tone for the rest of the evening. In addition, we noticed that bread was being served to other tables for customers who arrived after us, which did not seem to showcase the priority of serving us well. Unfortunately, the waitress assigned to our table was similarly unhelpful and rude throughout the night. Her lack of attentiveness and dismissive responses added to our frustration, and it became clear that there was a serious issue in service and management overall. The delays continued, and when our food finally arrived, it was cold and incomplete, with several items missing from our order. Each time we tried to address our concerns with Kelly, her unpleasant and unprofessional demeanor made the situation worse. At the end of the night, another manager named Stephanie approached our table to ask if everything was satisfactory. We were surprised to learn that there was another manager, who was far more courteous and willing to understand and address our concerns. Had Stephanie been involved earlier, I believe the situation could have been handled much more effectively. Overall, the poor service from both the waitress and Kelly was unacceptable and severely impacted our ability to enjoy what should have been a memorable family celebration.

Parking: Right at the entrance, free for Keg customers after a certain time (its hard to find free parking downtown so this is a plus) Food

The Keg Mansion is the pinnacle of the keg experience. Why settle for less than a mansion full of perfectly cooked steaks. I always get the rib steak classic-ed so I can get the Caesar starter.

Had such a great time, set up differently than other kegs, made the experience that much mote unique.

We really enjoyed The Keg Mansion. We love the Keg in general, but the history and atmosphere are pretty unique at this location so that definitely made it a great night. Our server Elise was also phenomenal and she was a big part of the experience - super friendly and personable. Thanks Elise! P.S. Coke products are the superior cola, and bring back Brie on the menu.

Disappointing Experience at The Keg Steakhouse + Bar - Mansion I recently visited The Keg Steakhouse + Bar - Mansion, and unfortunately, it was one of the worst dining experiences Ive had in a long time. I went in expecting a well-prepared steak, but what I got was far from it. I ordered a medium-rare steak, but the only thing that arrived hot was the plate. The steak itself was cold and unappetizing, which led me to refuse the meal entirely. While I wasn t charged for the steak, my friends weren t as lucky. Having not eaten all day and needing food to take their medication, they reluctantly ate their meals, despite the poor quality. The service was equally disappointing. After waiting 45 minutes for my food, we expressed our concerns to the waitress, who seemed less than pleased with our feedback. The manager s response was even more frustrating, as they insisted that everything was on time, completely ignoring the quality issues we raised. For a restaurant that charges premium prices, this experience was a letdown. If you re looking to get drunk and eat overpriced bar food, this might be your place, but if you re after a good steak and decent service, I d recommend looking elsewhere. Wild Wings, for example, offers better food at a lower price, and the staff treats you much better. However, if you want a steak that s truly worth the price and a drink made by a professional, I recommend visiting The Keg Steakhouse + Bar - Esplanade instead. They consistently deliver the quality and service that The Keg is known for. Overall, I can t recommend The Keg Steakhouse + Bar - Mansion based on this visit. There are better options out there that won t leave you disappointed.

Just back from Toronto and had a great meal here. It was very close to our hotel so we walked over and were very impressed. Set in a very old mansion with a lot of history. Some of it is pretty Spooky !! Very friendly staff and a great menu . Danielle our server made a great meal even better. Cocktails were terrific and the food was spot on. Highly recommend!

Feels tired. Nothing exciting or new on the menu. I get it. You do the classics, but if you arent going to do them perfect every time for the price you charge, it loses a star. Often really long wait times for food.

Now, lets talk about the food. I ordered the prime rib, and it was absolutely delicious. Cooked perfectly, super tender, and full of flavor. And make sure you save room for dessert - the Billy Miner Pie is a must-try. The service was great too. Our waiter was knowledgeable about the menu and wine list, and he was attentive without hovering. It made for a really smooth, enjoyable evening. Yes, its a bit pricier than your average dinner out, but for the quality of food and the overall experience, Id say its well worth it. Its the kind of place where you can really relax and enjoy your meal without feeling rushed. All in all, if youre in the mood for a really good steak in a cool setting, definitely give The Keg Mansion a try. I spent the evening celebrating my parents 35th anniversary by going to The Keg Steakhouse + Bar - Mansion! I had the blackened chicken which was really good!! And to top off the meal, I ordered the Sticky Toffee Pudding which was also good.

Very cool location, this visit was way above our expectations, the staff and food were way above a typical keg experience(which is usually fine but unremarkable in my experience) this pleasant surprise resulted in excellent value for 2 appys, a bottle of wine and two prime rib dinners downtown. Service as usual, was great! Our waiter gave us complimentary desserts. Prime rib was delicious and crab cakes are a must.

Had out first meal out in Toronto as tourists from Scotland. Served by Massimo who was excellent, attentive and very knowledgeable. Bread to start was nice but personally would prefer butter to cream cheese. Starters were good. Steaks and sides were excellent, was one of the best Ive ever had. Given a complimentary dessert as it was our first time in Toronto - Billy Miner Pie - which was amazing despite not liking coffee flavoured foodstuffs. Price was good for quality of food and service. Service a bit slow at start was arrived just after a rush but service still great and we were kept informed throughout. Hard to fault.

Great location for events or date nights.

Our favourite place for important celebrations and whenever we want to show off Toronto. Excellent food but and even better service at a very reasonable price.

Incredible food, service and atmosphere

We were very eager to check this place out but were in doubts before visiting as we were looking for vegetarian items. Finally one day we decided to give it a try and booked a table for us. We were welcomed with a fresh loaf of bread and butter. We ordered a Vegetarian Chiptole Meatloaf and Shepherds Pie. The food along with the ambience made our dinner worth memorable. Nothing special. Very dated. Food was ok. Service was way slow. Server wasn t friendly at all. Tall Caucasian male. Maybe he was too busy.

The food is always great. We had an issue where they brought out our entrees too early. My friend and I both started with the French onion soup. It was great and very hot. So we needed a little more time. But our server was great. Offered to take them back until we were ready for them. Which we declined. At the end we were offered free desserts.

Decent meals. Good service. Needs a bit of a face lift and some TLC on the interiors. Everything is worn and tired. Looks dirty.

As always here , fantastic service, atmosphere is always same ,historic and pleasant . Wifes food was good , not salty as some other Kegs. I had lobster roll, lol dont waste your time. Tasteless and tiny for 30$ lol. Have a salad or escargot , 5star Food

Food is not good save your money and go somewhere else

We had a group booking here last night for 8. Jonah the waiter was one of the best I have ever had. Very helpful, and extremely pleasant to deal with he really made the night! The steak was one of the best I have ever had. This was by far my best Keg experience yet. A lot of the group this was there first time here but it certainly won t be our last! Cheers from your maritime crew!

Service was perfect Twice baked potatoes were gluey so next time I ll do the normal baked potato We ll be back for the nostalgia and decent value esp nowadays where new restaurants r giving we don t need you vibes ty from our party of nine.

Great place, great food, great Instagramable pics...what more could you ask for ?

My fiance and I went for our 4th anniversary. We know what to expect with the food and we werent disappointed. In fact, we were debating dessert when our server brought us a HUGE slab of ice cream drizzled with chocolate and caramel and other yummy bits - on the house! The mansion has an atmosphere that brings an extra something special, to special occasions!

Good food, and beautiful interior Only downside is they have just increased their prices yet again as per instructions from corporate $25 for a burger (which becomes over $30 after tax and tip) is a bit much

This place has such amazing architecture and a storied past re ghosts. I loved it! Food was delicious. Our server Lindsey was phenomenal too. We will be back.

This is easily one of my favorite The Keg locations. Very nice location, decor is very warm and cozy, easy parking and staff is very very friendly. Make sure to ask about some of ghost stories from the mansion, the staff have a few to share. We had the half lobster, and Prime Rib Steak and the mini burger for our kiddo. They were all great. Portions are great. The vibe is family friendly. They open at 4pm so make sure you dont make our mistake and get there before that. Vegetarian options: There are plenty of vegetarian entrees

This location was super cool to dine at! Located inside of the old castle looking mention. We ordered ribs with fries and salmon with mash and broccoli! Salmon was probably one of the most delicious ones Ive ever tasted! Highly recommend.

I am not a frequent Keg goer but each time I get disappointed with the quality of their steaks. I ordered the Rib steak and it was very salty and the server wasnt very knowledgeable in terms of letting the guests know about aps, and side dishes which I ended up having 2 sides because it wasnt explained that the steaks come with veggies already so I ended up having 2 sides.

I hosted my 25th birthday here and it was absolutely amazing! My servers Hannah and Amir were very accommodating and everyone part of my party loved them. Will most definitely come back and celebrate here again. Also Kelly and Quinn were amazing as well! Great service, food and atmosphere :)

The food is good but the music is absolutely awful, please make your playlist better
