Went for a Birthday and although our server was wonderful and attentive she was unable to do much with the food which was pretty mediocre . It was my daughters first visit to a restaurant that they heard so much about but overall pretty dissapointing. Wont be back

I order well done but it was not and this has happened multiple times. Too much fat in the meat. Please get clean meat. I don t like so much fat. Otherwise it s a great place to eat and enjoy

It was our anniversary, service was lacking, we are pretty laid back, its just a day that you met 10 years before. So we could care less for free cake but It was 30 minutes before he came back to ask us if we needed anything. But if he looked, our drinks were empty, even our glasses of water were empty as well. Asking for the bill, another long wait. You can lead a horse to water but you cant make him drink..... Im sure you might get better service. But with limited time in my life, I doubt I will be back.

We were group of 36. Rikie, Sabrina, Megan M., and other staff treated us very good . They give us good food and excellent service . I am Vegetarian, I also got good food . I will recommend Ice-cream of chocolate a must. Keep it up

A bit loud and crowded, (Swifties) but just fantastic. Good wine and a really nice meal, with the best horseradish I ve ever had. Dietary restrictions: They were very thoughtful and helpful with my gluten problems too.

My boyfriend and I celebrated my birthday here together with a gift card and Stacy was our server! She was super nice and helpful, and I got a free dessert! definitely recommend

Came in for a last minute dinner with my girlfriend & was served by Jamie, he exceeded all our expectations. Gave great recommendations & made me feel at home. He was beyond personable and friendly, gave us amazing food & ended the night off with a bang. We will be back to see Jamie for sure ! We were also greeted by the manager Ricki, who came over right away and was amazing as always, love seeing hee & always a great time at this Keg ! Thanks again :))

Went in with my wife, planning to have the lobster dinner. Sat us in the lounge which is fine for a drink but not a meal. Asked for an actual table, she processed to bring us back to the same spot so we left.

Unfortunately weve forgotten her name, but I believe she was from the UK. She helped us pinpoint the exact dishes on the menu to order based on how hungry we were and what we felt like eating, fielding the dozen questions we had.

What happened? Eversince they were bought by carer foods (same company owns Swiss chalet) their food and service has gone down. Baseball sirloin was flat as a pancake and wasnt Chicago style at all. Service was lack Lustre, slow and not at all up to standards. Keg used to have standards and now they dont care

Out of all the keg visits, this was definitely one to visit again. Being greeted by both the hostess and management who also adhered to my requests was a delight. The food was exceptional as always and our waiter was very attentive to our drinks. We sat in the bar for a change and enjoyed the size of the bar at this location. The keg will always be a favorite of mine and now I am looking forward to our next visit here.

It was a nice atmosphere and the food was good. My only concern was the service; extremely long to serve the table, even when our orders were placed before someone persons who came after us, the servers were a bit unprofessional and I was quite taken aback when I requested 3 slices of birthday cake, the server was like I dont know if we can do that and give you it for me. I was like drop jaw, eye falling out kinda look, I couldnt understand why she assumed I am order slices of cake and it should be free. I thought when you go to a restaurant and order you must paid and thats the intention I went with. I felt insulted, but I smiled. The entire time while making toasts and speeches, the servers kept interrupting to remove plates and cups, ask questions, start issuing bills when we were even finished getting our dessert, and some extra drink order. None the less, I smiled and thanked them for their service because I will not be described as the aggressive, angry BLACK man. Trust me I would love to go back but if thats how am going to be treated, I would rather go elsewhere, where I am treated and respected as everyone else.

Great place for a nice steak meal without breaking the bank (considering it s a steakhouse). The servers were excellent, gave good advice for non steak eaters and we excellent overall. If you don t do steak too often I d definitely recommend getting it cooked medium as they take medium-rare seriously and it can get quite bloody.

i had a really long week at work and wanted to treat myself. megan h was spectacular. she took care of me and was so positive in every way. it s exactly what you need after a long shift. the Caesar salad wasn t great but the grilled food was awesome. thanks again, megan!

We often eat at the Keg and never have any issues. I reserved a seating for two through the website/open table. I indicated a special occasion on the reservation. We were seated right next to the entrance of the kitchen and were listening to all the employees yell WARNING each time someone was entering/exiting the kitchen. Even heard two either managers or supervisors standing right behind us gossiping about another manager. Our waitress was the only server wearing a medical mask . WHY? We had a hard time understanding her and she was over the top too friendly, came across as being fake. She asked us about our occasion and we informed her it was our date night. I asked her if we can be moved to another table and she immediately said oh yes, I was wondering why they sat you here next to the kitchen . If that was the case, she should ve taken the initiative and move us knowing it was an occasion for her customers. Don t even know why they have a table there in the first place. Not the best experience at the Keg at all. We just wanted to eat and leave. Didn t want to spend anymore money on drinks, deserts as planned.

Ive been to this Keg location twice in the last year and had good experience both times! Besides the rib eye steak, I look forward to the complimentary bread the most lol its so good with the 2 types of whipped butter!!! Yumm.

The food value was about what I expected - on par with comparable steak chains in its class. Our group of 10 purchased several Happy Hour burgers and various entrees that arrived almost an hour after ordering. Our fries were cold and the menu description of the burger was missing. An under-sauteed and wet onion mash mixed with warm lettuce made each bite of the burger interesting. Thankfully, a perfectly charred pattie helped mask some of the adventures. With pickles and cheese already on the burger to help keep things dry, the onions need to be properly caramelized (moisture reduced) with lettuce added right before service. The pistachio-crusted salmon was cooked properly albeit heavy on the syrup. The over-charged Brussel sprouts also had syrup added which made the dish overwhelmingly sweet. A quality mashed potato might have saved (or at least cut through) the candied meal that was underwhelming at $40. Our server was fabulous. She was friendly with the kids and personable with the adults. However, she was overwhelmed with tables to serve. The bar did not lack servers, but the floor was sparse with fast-moving servers bustling at an uncomfortable pace. The atmosphere was typical/standard as expected. Some prefer a dim dining experience while others appreciate a bit more light - thats all subjective and moot in the end. Might return or recommend this location, but naturally hesitant. Hoping this was a one-off as they say when otherwise reviews are pretty good overall. Our group was less than critical because of the table bread. This tied people over and left them feeling satisfied when otherwise entree portion sizes were questionable.

My sister took our Mom at this location for her birthday a few weeks ago. They accidentally forgot to take their boxed leftovers to her dismay... but luckily the Manager was able to resolve the issue and made her day. Such rarity for this level of service to go over and beyond what you expect. As such, we highly recommend this place!

I ordered a 12oz top sirloin with medium. After 45 mins wait with just a few pieces of bread, they served me with a well done steak. I doubt that they left my steak on the pan until I asked them to check my orders. More than that, the fries that served with the keg burger came out cold I was gonna spend an anniversary night with my girl and what a horrible experience. Never again

Great service at this location. As we have done for as long as we can remember we always do the lounge side. Food comes out fast and is consistent. A regular go to without hesitation.

The server was so nice!!!! Will be our anniversary spot since yesterday we got engaged at this spot! Such a memorable and wholesome experience. Thank you Keg for making this an unforgettable experience!!! My fiancé ordered a keg burger, and I ordered a 10oz prime rib. Don t forget the refillable bread. We also got a complimentary chocolate cake for the occasion. Don t forget to season the mac and cheese if you re ordering it, the seasonings are on the side for your liking!! Thank you again!!!!! P.S the side of horse radish in a mini saucer is NOT coleslaw made a mistake and boy I was coughing up a storm!! You know the horseradish is on point and more spicier than wasabi when this happens. Quality horseradish I guess ^^

I ate here a few nights ago. I went with the ribeye (medium rare) as I usually do, with a side of Caesar Salad. When I received my steak and cut it open it was overdone and very chewy. I told the waiter and he said that Sometimes we dont use a thermometer so we dont always get it right unfortunately. He took it back to the kitchen leaving me with a Caesar salad. A poor excuse for a steakhouse.

Came here for my Birthday meal & on being seated I was advised I would receive a dessert on the house for my Birthday. I was there with my best friend who had just had a baby & our servers attention soon turned to the fact that she was a new mother & they like to support new mothers (dont we all, I was feeding him his bottle as she fussed over my friend ) ...needless to say, my friend was given a free dessert for being a new Mother & my Birthday celebration was completely forgotten about! I fully support new mothers as well, I am a mother myself, but to forget the purpose of the groups visit & completely forget someones Birthday when you have gone out of your way to offer something to celebrate that Birthday, is disgusting Customer Service!

Had my 40th birthday and drinks there recently. Everything was perfect. They tend excellently to large groups. Friendliness, timing couldnt have been better. Thank you to all the wonderful Keg staff, especially our server Chelsea.

Dined in the lounge area and Shemar served us. He was so attentive and quality checked us multiple times to ensure we were enjoying every bit of our meal. i ordered the bread with extra butter and when i went to pack up the bread, i tried to scoop butter into the takeout container. Shemar saw me struggle and brought over extra containers of butter. I didn t even need to ask. I was in awe of the little things that he thought of to make my experience top notch. Although service was great, the upholstery is quite dirty, stained, and outdated and the leather on the chairs is damaged and worn out and the overhead light was shining quite bright into our eyes. Dietary restrictions: although i have no restrictions, my server, shemar, made sure to double check to make sure i didn t have any. greatly appreciated

Generous portions of calamari and wings . Superb service. The mile high chocolate cake dessert satisfied my sweet tooth.

Last year, the service was extremely slow and noticeable snobby service and food was too greasy. Finally decided to try this location again and the service was excellent but the food was still too greasy. Although, desert was delicious! Wheelchair accessibility: I seen an elevator for an accessibility.

We went there to celebrate our 10th year and their attitude from beginning to end was amazing. They really take care of us and also they offer us a cake for our celebration and it was deliciously good. I really recommend this place to enjoy the good food and beautiful atmosphere.

Its the best place to eat good red meat. The cooking is customizable and was perfect. Every dish we ordered was delicious. In terms of atmosphere, its a little dark but comfortable. The prices are, however, quite high.

Staff on Friday was completely swamped but did an excellent job communicating how behind the 8 ball they were. Food was fine (my cut of sirloin was very fatty but tasted fine). Lovely establishment. Will return

Escargot was good, steak was tasty but unfortunately was served cold, IPA was good but they ran out when I ordered the 2nd glass, but was immediately offered 3/4 of the glass free. Dominique was very attentive and service was very good. The manager offered us a free dessert that was delicious. Will definitely give it another try.

Only one server around, the manager on duty was very rude, no morals and beliefs even disrespecting each customers. Its very disappointing for us to enjoy an experience at yonge location. I been waiting for my second course for almost 60 minutes now. And at this location they close at midnight.

The taste is great but the portions are kinda small for the price. I understand that it s a high end restaurant so ideally the prices will be on the higher end but even then the portions can be better.

Maybe The Keg was mighty at once, but just like any empire, it has fallen. Try any other Italian place in the area and Im sure you wont regret it. The food here was below average, especially for the prices. It was pretty tasteless, overcooked, and burnt. I havent been to The Keg in 6 years, and I wish I havent gone back just so we couldve remembered it nicely. My friend and I each ordered the pistachio crusted salmon, and our plates were different in consistency. I had no sauce, hers was drenched in it. My 5 Brussels sprouts were all burnt and dry, and hers were less cooked. The French onion soup was so tasteless I used it as a dip for my very dry Brussels sprouts. The wine we ordered was old and it left deposits on the glass. I think the best part of our dinner was the warm bread and butter at the beginning.

Never been to this location prior to Monday. Absolutely will return in the future.

The Keg has always been a guaranteed meal. However lately very disappointed in the quality of the meals and service. As a Keg patron since 1974 when it first opened at Yonge and Eglinton, I must say there are very distinct differences between now and then and unfortunately not for the better. Needless to say will continue to go to the Keg to enjoy my steaks, and will not hold back in pointing out drawbacks

They always sit us in bar area and portions are small. Bread not as good as in past. Steak is great though.

The food was excellent, and the service was initially not too bad either. However, during the evening, our server dropped the ball. Not sure if they were short-staffed, but the whole experience during a birthday party was below what I had seen and came to expect from the KEG. When we saw our server drop the ball on the desert, they brought our cake out for the birthday but didn t come to ask if anyone else wanted dessert, and when they did, it was 45 minutes after everyone had finished their plates. Especially being there with kids, those 45 minutes felt extremely long. In the end, they didn t take any dessert since they had waited for so long and we pressed them not to take a dessert. Finally, we decided to go elsewhere. Additionally, we had to ask for a kids menu, again something we weren t used to from the Keg; we usually get it immediately. Refilling the water took forever, and the cherry on top was that we had to look for our server to pay our bill. Cold-heartedly we still left a decent dip; however it was not deserved.

Location is perfect for the midtown crowd. Nice dinner and date option with the Cineplex just 5 min walk north. Staff were great, knowledgeable, friendly, attentive, and quick. Honestly, it was not my best experience at a Keg food wise. Its still good, but it was lacking. Parking day rates in the area are $25 and night rates about $15. Easy to get to by TTC.

This restaurant has been very dependable for us. The food is excellent and we love the Billy Miner Pie. When we told them we were celebrating our anniversary they gave us a complimentary glass of sparkling wine. This is our goto restaurant for important events. All the staff are friendly.

Reliably consistent. Over the years, I have been to the Keg well over 100 times, you always know what you get will be exactly the same as in past visits. Prices have went up quite a bit but that is the sign of the times that we live in. Food

From start to finish, we had an excellent experience. Our server was training a new hire and did an excellent job of demonstrating stellar customer service and was 100% on top of everything. Its a spacious restaurant but sound does carry over from the bar, particularly when theres a large party but in the dining room its a dull din and the layout helps dull the intensity of the noise from the bar. We both ordered the Key Classic, which was prepared to perfection as always. Love it medium rare and got it exactly as I expected, as I ordered the 8oz top sirloin and my spouse got a 12oz steak. I normally order the garlic mash potatoes but tried the twice baked and I will not be going back to the mash potatoes and those are amazing. Our salads were fresh and crispy and the bread was soft, warm and had a lovely slightly fermented almost sourdough taste, which I personally love. When I want my once-in-a-while indulgence, Ill be back here,

This keg is awesome. Modern decor and perfect atmosphere. Staff are always courteous and prompt. Bartenders are awesome. Been here for dinner dates and big events and all were amazing. They sure know how to cook a rare steak!

They delivered overcooked steak but once I warned them, they redelivered it and offered it for free as well as some wines. They really care about the customer satisfaction. I liked the place.

I ve explored nearly all of Toronto s Keg restaurants, with my last visit to Jarvis dating back 3 years. Our meal began with a white sangria starter, which unfortunately didn t suit our taste. For the main course, I opted for the Prime Rib, while my wife chose the steak sandwich. My Prime Rib was average and didn t particularly impress me. However, the steak sandwich surprised us; it was among the tastiest dishes I ve had at The Keg in nearly a decade. The restaurant s interior design felt outdated and subpar, with poorly arranged tables. Given my experience, I don t foresee returning for another 3 years.

Great service. The waitress put a candle on our cake as it was our anniversary. Food and drinks were great. They forgot to send out our potato sides but that was quickly rectified by the kitchen.

Delicious food and drinks, plus great staff members! I would highly recommend the New York striploin, it has the perfect amount of fat which gives a bold beefy flavour. It s also a pretty big piece of steak, so you ll definitely be full after eating it! I really appreciate my server, Shamar, who took the time to explain the difference between sirloin and striploin. He was a very friendly and attentive server. Definitely going back soon!!!

We had a big table and ordered a lot of food and wine. One of our steak was not cooked to the standard. A bit disappointing. But overall we enjoyed our time there.

The Keg is pound for pound one of the best restaurants in the city of Toronto. I always enjoy their great service and food for both everyday dining and special celebrations.

I had an enjoyable meal here - roast beef , super tender and flavourful. Service is good, efficient and friendly. Drinks & appetizers as expected. Its a treat / special occasion for me as the price is on the expensive side. Dinner for two was heading for $180 (including tip, and only one drink each)

Certainly wasnt a Shae Lynn experience My waiter was inattentive. Never checked in. The striploin was overly grissly and fatty plus cold. Twice baked potatoe was hard like a walnut not to mentioned burnt. Greens salad was pulverized. You needed a spoon to eat it. Flavorless and uncared for. The sauteed mushrooms were black as licorice. The accompanying veggies were almost raw. Almost everything was cold. The only thing enjoyable was the wine. I would not go back. I told the waiter going to Mary Browns would have been more enjoyable and for certain less expensive.

I can not recommend the keg at y&e enough! It was the go to spot for me and my husband while we were living at y&e. My husband usually go for the prime rib, i like the lobster with side veggie. And my husband would refuse to leave without eating the Billy Miner pie..... Well, it is really good! Went back for dinner today, still delicious af! As usual, we finished the complementary table bread. (tip: try dipping the bread into the melted butter that comes with the lobster, lol) Amazing service, great atmosphere! It might not be a cheap meal, but we think its worth every penny! Well keep going back!

Really great location, food & service. The Keg Burger was a bit greasy but a good choice, especially for Happy Hour. Note for those coming for happy hour, its only available at the lounge seating, not regular dining. Make your server aware before getting a table assigned.

Update December/23: Still our go to neighbourhood restaurant. Shay, our server, was incredible. Having just moved to the neighborhood, this Keg well be our new go to restaurant.

Hi its a great location but very disappointed that its not fully accessible. I have a disability and although there is a small lift, the area my group was sitting in had 2 steps to access it before I could use the lift. The food and service were great. Wheelchair accessibility: Not fully accessible

Been coming at this location for years. Had dinner again tonight with friends and received great service from Jaime. Food was amazing as always. I think this is the best steakhouse within reasonable price and the best bang for the buck! Highly recommended.

Surprisingly good and consistent food for a chain steakhouse. I only really had issues with other aspects: service was slow, my knife was dull, tipping suggestions start at 18%, and the server didnt bring the machine with the bill as requested.

Great basic steakhouse. Great service. Fair prices. Wont be disappointed.
