The place is very beautiful inside, but not a fan of the food or service. Went for brunch and waited a long time for food. When it came, it was cold and the wrong dish. They replaced it with the correct one, but I had to wait a while and got it when everyone else at the table was finished. The correct dish was quite burned. I showed the waitress, and it seemed like she was going to talk to the cook, but nobody ever returned to our table except to give us the bill. The inedible burned meal item was on the bill.
On Saturday, November 23, 2024 me and my triplet sisters hosted our 50th Decades Themed Birthday Party!!! We had a blast! The Kingston House Restaurant is a hidden treasure. The event space downstairs was the perfect venue exactly what we were looking for. The owner Chris and his staff were very generous and accommodating which helped us create an unforgettable and memorable experience for us and our guests. The food and service were excellent and they let us decorate! If you are looking for a restaurant that feels like family with a warm and friendly atmosphere then this is the place for you!
My first time at The Kingston House. I really enjoyed the Tuna Bowl, especially because it was bang on my current diet! My friends I think enjoyed their food but were not blown away. The beer was craft, I thought the Kingston Lager was quite good. The service was a bit random in its efficiency, but always pleasant and friendly. We went to see the band, who were very enjoyable. The fact that we were dinged for an unexpected $15 per head cover charge at the end of the evening has already been dealt with in another review.
A really nice first time experience with family for dinner. Please see photos of tandoori fried chicken and chicken wings. I’ll be back.
Kingston House is a great place for a drink at the bar, dinner with family or friends, or hanging out in the basement to watch a sports game, play trivia, or a few games of pool. Every meal I’ve tried here has been great including the burger, fish and chips, and most recently the tandoori chicken sandwich. My wife also loved her tuna poke bowl. They host many events and the staff is always very kind and accommodating for any situation. They also have live music now that we are planning to check out soon. They’ve got it all!
Came here for brunch on the weekend and really.enjoyed this place. Really nice and clean space. Huge event room in the basement that is used for private parties which looked great. By accident they brought the wrong salad but quickly replaced it with the correct salad and even offered a discount on the bill for the mistake. The BELT was great and so were the salads. Our toddler also liked the breakfast sausages.
We made reservations for a Christmas work dinner to support local… but was just not the experience we wanted. They were fully booked for the night with parties and only two servers, one being the bartender. We waited 10 minutes to get her to come over, waited another 20 for our drinks she was so busy our appetizers came first. And the food was bland, 3 of us got medium rare steaks 1 was cooked medium rare with one being overcooked and the other undercooked, mind you they had 3 pieces of steak cut up already so you’d think they’d check. The calamari had this orange sauce tasted like nothing, the wings were ok thanks to the franks they were smothered in. We relayed this to the owner he brought this dessert board to make up for it. We felt rushed but the staff were unprepared (never got steak knives, they handed me the machine without a bill, waited for the bill etc.) and when you’re spending $300 on 5 people for dinner it’s difficult trying to support local when the service and the food were mediocre at best. I hope this was a one off but sadly not worth coming back. You can spend money at places where you can 100% know that you aren’t being served frozen to fried dishes. I hate making reviews like this but in this economy when you go out spending $100 for a nice night should equal you spending $100 worth of a lovely experience
This restaurant is a great addition to the neighbourhood. The service and atmosphere is amazing, and the food is exceptional! We tried the tandoori fried chicken, onion rings, sweet potato fries and apple pie sundae - everything was delicious! Must try!
Nice food
My husband and I discovered this place this summer and its quickly become one of our favourite restaurants! Its cozy, not too loud, the service is always great, but the main draw is the food, its outstanding every time! I highly recommend the short rib.
Underrated spot. Great food. Excellent service.
Quiet lunch mid week. Great food. Vegetarian options: Yes, plenty Parking: Parking around back. Nice patio. Kid-friendliness: Good for families. Nice neighborhood spot. Wheelchair accessibility: No washroom downstairs.
Dinner last night with several friends. Great food, great service, and great atmosphere!
So how is that you purchase a meal and a number of drinks, slowly migrate down to listen to a band in the basement and then you get hit with a $15 per person surcharge at the end of the evening for listening to the band. No signage at the door. No staff informing the clients ....just the surcharge. Not good....EDIT:I think it is great that I have received this response. It is reassuring to know that the surcharge goes directly to the band and that my concerns regarding signage will be addressed in future. Thank you.
Every time I come to The Kingston House I m always happy. Food is so good, hot and fresh, drinks are always on point and service is always excellent. Had my work party here as well. Definitely recommend. Very cozy modern interior as well! Service is excellent and staff are very friendly!
first time here last night was was very happy with the food, Valerie and Mr owner (I assume) who made us feel so welcome in this beautiful gem in Kingston and Main Will come back. Food was
Finest place in Toronto to eat and hang out.
Went there for date night. Food was amazing (fallafal plate, the veg momos, the chicken wings were our favorite to name a few), staff was very helpful and friendly, restaurant was clean. Krishna (the owner) was kind and gracious. Overall an amazing restaurant - we left full, happy and would definitely go back again! Vegetarian options: Great vegetarian options available all of which taste different. Everything was delicious! Kid-friendliness: Very low key atmosphere, benched and chair seating available. There is a kids menu too
Great place! Delicious food. Burger, sweet potato fries, squash soup, momos, chicken fingers, all excellent. Love the atmosphere, super friendly and attentive staff. Parking: Just a couple of spots available on a Wednesday evening behind the place. Kid-friendliness: Staff friendly to kids, our toddler could run around and explore.
Delicious food. Great staff.
We visited The Kingston House on 2024 Thanksgiving Day without prior reservation - they were fully booked, yet we were accommodated. The ambience was superb, well maintained and inviting. Service was quick, foods were awesome, and rightly priced. Parking was easy and adequate for the location they are at. It was our first time and we surely will visit them again.
The BBQ platter was so delicious - such great flavours and cooked to perfection. Speaking of perfection....the BUTTERNUT SQUASH soup. Wow! Both are a must try!
The best staff out there, and the food is incredible. Must try is the beef short rib, chicken momos, and the spaghetti ganberi!
What a gem of a local eatery! Beautiful food, attentive and friendly service and good portions. Will definitely be coming back!
The nachos and the beef sliders were delicious! The prices were also very good, we had the buy one get one shareable plate 50% off deal!
My husband ordered the fish and chips and it was really good. I ordered the mushroom soup and it was amazing! I ll be going back just for the soup!
We celebrated my father s 80th birthday tonight and could have not been happier with the service and quality of the entire experience. It s a true neighbourhood gem!
Good place for a casual meal. Very friendly staff, reasonable food at reasonable prices
Popped in for lunch on a Saturday with our two kids. Very kid friendly . Had the chicken crepe and a dessert crepe. Both delicious. Lovers of IPAs and they had a great selection. Will definitely be back.
Kid-friendliness: Very kid friendly! Food
Loved the previous establishment, this is certainly very different. Is it an upgrade? No! Is it a downgrade? Absolutely NOT! The Kingston House is making a niche all of their own. They have a great minimalist wine list. Their food is fantastic and always fresh! Not a bad dish on the menu. The staff!! Friendly and courteous. Worth a visit, stay for the drinks, the wine, and the atmosphere..
I had an exceptional meal and service
Good time had by all
We stopped in on a Tuesday evening and there was live music! Amazing atmosphere! We had the burger and risotto with the burata as a starter! Everything was delicious Highly recommend.
This has to be the best customer experience I ve ever had. I attended a 90th bday here. There was one man that carried my 98 year old Mom down a steep set of stairs. Not only did he do that he madr my Mom a plate of food. The atmosphere was amazing and food the best. Highly recommended this place.
Great friendly atmosphere, the owner went out of his way to welcome us and make us feel at home. The food was good and the live music well done. Our daughter just became a lawyer so it was a great place to celebrate her achievement
Absolutely love it here! The service is warm and friendly, and the food is always good. You can tell that the owner takes great pride in his establishment. Vegetarian options: Delish! Dietary restrictions: Theyre very accommodating. Our table had a number of restrictions ranging from nuts to fruit to onions.
Parking: Convenient behind the restaurant Food
Vegetarian options: More salad options Food
We recently had my Mothers 80th birthday party here after having had brunch a few times. We really loved the vibe and the atmosphere, and the owner Krishna is always so warm and friendly. I want to give Krishna, Aunika, and the rest of the staff full props for being so excellent on the day of my Moms 80th birthday. Kingston House put out an appetizer and lunch buffet, and the food was so delicious. People went back up for seconds and thirds. The staff was so warm, patient, and friendly with all of the party buzz going on. They were so accommodating always checking and asking how are we, are you good? The staff of The Kingston House was so solid they helped us all the way to the end in even helping us pack stuff up. The vibe of The Kingston House is a clean, chill, vibe. I know for a fact their Sunday brunch is awesome, but Id say you could go there at any time of day and have an amazing experience. While I know that people in The Beach/The Beaches long for the nostalgia of places that are no longer there, there is something so very welcoming and familiar with The Kingston House, and it has made such a great addition to the neighbourhood. I highly recommend it. Thank you again to the staff for making my Moms 80th birthday party such a beautiful, fun, and delicious occasion.
Went to catch a soccer game. The staff and food were great.
Dont recommend the place the customer service is not good waited for so long they Dont show up the stor was almost empty I had to go and call them for serving us several times the foods was cold, the price is different from the menu is not worth it go visit them and waiste your time even the food not worth for that price trust me
An amazing neighbourhood restaurant. Food is delicious, service is amazing.
What a great hidden gem! Great menu, cocktail list and atmosphere. The manager was amazing as she was always checking in and went above and beyond. I will be going back soon!:)
Fabulous new owner. Great time at the Snider anniversary party
We really enjoyed our experience. The friendly staff is attentive and helpful. The food is precise and delicious. Clean details and nice atmosphere!
It was our second time eating at The Kingston House. Both time the food was amazing. Our group thoroughly enjoyed themselves. Well be going back again (and again)
Great first experience at the Kingston House! The staff were friendly and attentive, nice variety on the menu, beer and wine choices were good and the food was really good. Owners are very nice and thoroughly enjoyed our experience! Will definitely be back!!!
Went there yesterday and the Mac and cheese I had was excellent and it was a nice experience. We had great service at this restaurant.
Fish and chips was good, friend got short rib confit, it was some overcooked meat, and INSTANT mashed potatoes, veggies were passable. Its a no for me for the future based on that, not acceptable for something over $30.
This is a nice little restaurant. We were the only ones there for lunch. Maybe because their website says they open at 4. Anyway we had a nice lunch. Service was really good. We sat around after we finished our meals, and our server still checked to see if we needed anything. Some of the booths were a little tight, so were lucky we got to pick where we wanted to sit.
I am from Singapore. I was at The Kingston House today for lunch. The ambiance and place was really nice, clean and cosy. I had the Kingston burger and it was very good. The mimosa was really nice. My husband had the cappuccino and he loved it. I would highly recommend!
The grilled veggie sandwich was very tasty with a nice multigrain bread, a basil pesto and a generous side of sweet potato fries. The short ribs were also good though portion maybe a little small. Considered the pan seared steelhead trout but it was frozen not fresh so passed on that. The menu had enough interesting items to make it worth a repeat visit. No hesitation to recommend it.
Warm and inviting atmosphere.Food is delicious and inventive! Definitely coming back! Family friendly and great for date night! Dietary restrictions: Work well with dietary restrictions of dairy free Parking: Parking behind the restaurant Kid-friendliness: Great variety on the kids menu options
Great neighbourhood spot. Nice interior, food was delicious and staff were friendly and attentive. Looking forward to coming again for one of the nights when they have a live jazz band.
Overall, a good experience and nice restaurant in the Upper Beaches neighborhood. Some positives are the food, and service. The portion sizes of appetizers and food are above average. Their happy hour, while not spectacular cut down on the bill a little bit- buy 1 get 1 half off apps, $1.00 per litre house wines, and $1.00 off beers. The chicken schnitzel sandwich was huge (double patties) and I took half of it to go. Some negatives. I am just picky as I eat out a lot. The seating is a bit cramped and if you are looking for a romantic date night, its not really the place. The lighting is really bright, and I found the booths and tables to be too close together. Its not really a chilled vibe. This is a great social place to go with friends or have a function at. The basement had a paint night social function going on, which looked fun.
The food was absolutely delicious!!!! Five of us had dinner with three different appetizers. The Tuna Tartar was full of flavor, and was prepared perfectly. All appetizers arrived quickly and were made to perfection. The mains arrived all at the same time, and all were piping hot and fresh!! Compliments to the kitchen crew!! Our server, Andrew, was very well spoken, fast, knowledgeable with all choices on the menu, always smiling, and very polite. 10/10 will be coming back...often!!!
Wow! What a great evening! Music was amazing. Atmosphere and food was delicious.. bright yet cozy and comfortable We had a blast will be back Food
Hopefully this review might help others and maybe the management will take the feedback: As a local, I wanted to like this place so much, but alas, that was not meant to be. TLDR The hostess was great, service was lacking, their social media promos are inaccurate (eg. Friday half-price apps was not honoured), and the kitchen is incredibly short-handed (i.e. if a prix fixe menu is offered, call in to check if the menu item you want to order is actually being cooked that night). We didnt get to actually trying their food, but when you go out of your way to try a new place, first impressions are everything. Long version: Maybe it was just an off night for Kingston House the night we went, or they still need to figure out their rhythm, but we were looking forward to a Friday night of food, drinks, and service. Instead, had to reorganize our night and ended up at another local neighborhood restaurant. Ill start with the positives...the hostess. She was kind, empathetic, and well-spoken. She made an otherwise incredibly negative experience, not as bad. Strike 1: While we arrived pretty early (~30min) for our reservation, half the restaurant had empty seats with the other half nearing the end of meals (many tables paying for their bills). Yet we had to wait 15-20min to be seated at one of the empty tables. We probably couldve been seated either at the bar or one of the empty tables and Id be at least 1 drink in before ordering my meal. I get there are other resos, but with many tables already paying their bills, they couldve easily read the room to shuffle things around. Strike 2: Service was sparse, almost non-existent. The entire dining room was serviced by 2 servers that had to be flagged down for every single thing. It looked like their first day on the job. Were not high-maintenance people, but its in your best interest to at least take drink orders ASAP. Ensuring an adequate # of servers to expected volume of customers is important. Strike 3: Kingston House was offering the Prix Fixe Winterlicious menu, and a big reason we came was based on their social media saying Fridays had half-price apps. Nope. This was not true. Update your social media then. Strike 4: The menu offerings. We then decided to order al-a-carte from the menu because were not fans of Winterlicious (weve had many licious experiences and the food is typically mass-produced & not as enjoyable as the regular items). Low and behold, the server then tells us the only available items on the regular menu are hand-held items. Apparently the chef gets overwhelmed and shuts down certain menu items.. but wait, youre a restaurant. We then pivot to order a mix of the Winterlicious menu & al-a-carte hand helds, only to find out the kitchen is not prepared to make the coconut onion rings (a side-dish) that we were looking forward to ordering as well. Why even give the option of the regular menu if youre pretty much pointing all customers towards the Winterlicious menu? Strike 5: The breaking point. Server comes back saying the IPA beer I just ordered was out. I subsequently order their other IPA on the menu, and he says thats out as well. I was fuming and absolutely done at that point. We walk out and go to another local neighborhood restaurant that actually has it together. I do hope they eventually get organized. Still frustrated about the experience and well see if we give this place another shot.
Really enjoyed the wings today (both the BBQ and no sauce) and always appreciate the selection of craft beers from local East end breweries.
Great experience. Warm welcome at the door. Sat near the bar, watched leaf game. Service was excellent. Food came out in good time. Waters refilled. Quality checks were made... Had the burger, my wife had beef shoetrib. Delicious. Warm quinoa salad was also tasty. Keep up the good work, well see you again. I highly recommend The Kingston House.
Best Caesar salad, the bacon was fresh and crisp and dressing was perfect amount. Wonerful entertainment, excellent waitstaff and the owner greeted everyone and came by the table to offer birthday drink. Well done Kingston House.
Had an excellent time here. Krish is an amazing host! Went with the family and enjoyed the amazing weather on the awesome back patio. Everything we had was great especially the vegan sausage bangers and mash as well as the brie cheese dessert. Highly recommended!
Great new addition to the hood. The short ribs are amazing!
I recently had the pleasure of dining at The Kingstone House. From the moment I walked in, I was captivated by the warm and inviting ambiance a perfect blend of sophistication and coziness. The bar at Kingstone House is a gem in itself. The ambiance, culinary expertise, and stellar service collectively make Kingstone House a standout dining destination. I wholeheartedly recommend Kingstone House to anyone seeking an exquisite dining adventure. My visit left me with a profound appreciation for the artistry that goes into creating an unforgettable culinary journey.
Server was super awesome n owner made it hus buisness to say thanks for visiting. Food is a 5star
Great service, good food and overall the place has a great vibe
Welcoming local bar-restaurant with good food, friendly service and a versatile space with a very nice private party room downstairs
We just came from having dinner at this nice and cozy restaurant. The food, the ambience and everything was so good
Went with my wife on Valentines Day.They were busy and were told we could have a seat at the bar (and wait for a table) .That was OK with us.Problem was we sat for 20 minutes without a drink even though we ordered. Its almost like they do it on purpose or just completely not have competent servers. The final straw was not being able to order off the regular menu. They are trying to be exclusive in an are thats not into the pomp and circumstance. We left.
We just celebrated a milestone birthday at The Kingston House and had the absolute best experience. The owner, manager and bartender were fabulous -from the planning stage -to the big event. Our guests loved the food - especially the sliders- the space, and the service. Thank you Kingston House! Parking: There are several spots located behind the venue and these are free!
The food was delicious and the owner was so incredibly nice even for Canadian standards! We will be back! Food
not the greatest food, good service, priceyy
Really good food, friendly staff in a modern, warm and cozy atmosphere
What a fantastic place! The atmosphere was really cool, and perfect for an evening drink with friends - so excited to come back for happy hour
High recommend. Food was outstanding, staff and the owner Krishna so nice and very good for kids. We ll definitely be back.
My first time at this restaurant. Just what the area needs. Great food - best arugula salad I ve ever tasted. We loved the atmosphere and the decor. Will definitely go back.
Its just simply amazing. Love the vibe and the service. Nice quiet place to hang out and theyve got a second bar downstairs with a hall so good for gatherings and watching the world cup. The food is just as good too. Yummm...... Vegetarian options: Theyve got plenty of vegetarian options all of which are delicious particularly the onion rings were amazing.
Had a great dinner here the week they launched! Great space indoors and outdoors - we sat on the patio in the back. The owners, Ed and Krish, were so welcoming and very open to any feedback on the food - but everything was delicious. We loved the mushroom fried chicken and the pork schnitzel sandwich. Their sauces are made in house and had so much flavour. Our two year old daughter tried and ate everything too - so it was a great experience for the whole family. We will definitely be back again :)
Amazing experience. Great meals. The onion rings are to die for!
Great atmosphere and fusion food. Onion rings were amazing and so were the tandoori fried chicken. Great service. I ll be back for sure! Vegetarian options: My friend was vegetarian. There were a vegan banger and mash as well as some good appetizer and salad options for us all Parking: Parking behind the restaurant which I didn t see. But there were lots of free street parking nearby.
Amazing service and food. Had a lunch here.. this place is must visit.
The food and vibe are great! I really like the Coconut Onion Rings, very special! And the chicken was tasty too!
Yummy Eggplant Parmigian. Pleasant atmosphere, friendly staff. Bonus it s close to home! Wheelchair accessibility: Two doors but street level no stairs
A very warm welcome to The Kingston House ( located where the Grover was). I was fortunate enough to be invited to dine at a soft launch Birthday Dinner last evening ( liquor license pending). The Kingston House is owned by the husband and wife team Krishna and Jackie Gaudel, who are co owners of the well revered Cumin Kitchen on the Danforth. They have another winner with entire concept from the urban decor, delicious fusion menu , attentive happy staff , zen vibe patio to the most friendly and accomodating owners. The food was well prepared and well presented and well priced Cant wait to drink an espresso martini on the patio!!
Great food and great people! Will be back!
Simply the best! Pure delight for all of your senses from the lovely and lively ambiance to the delicate touches of coconut flakes on the delicious onion rings, there s something for everyone!
I loved the shrimps with bacon and tandoori fried chicken (juicy and rightly cooked). Service was great and so was the food delivery time on to the tables.
I try fried chicken Berger with delicious fries which were exceptionally delicious . The service was excellent. I Can t recommend enough.
Very excited to have this as an option! The food was excellent and the service was fast and super friendly. From the time we arrived until we left, it was an amazing experience. Can t get enough of those coconut onion rings!
Great addition to the neighbourhood! Love how the sauces and dressings are all made in house and the onion rings were incredible! Wonderful service as well and a nice atmosphere!
The service at the Kingston House is absolutely wonderful. All the staff were attentive, engaging, and kind. I will be a regular!
I tried the short ribs with macaroni and cheese and it was excellent. The service was outstanding. I will certainly be returning to try one of the many options on the menu.
Excellent experience here! The food was amazing, especially the onion rings. My daughter who is picky, said the chicken fingers were the best she s ever had. Will definitely be returning on a regular basis! Welcome to the neighborhood! Food : 5/5
It was a fantastic experience . What I loved about the place is the quaint décor, good size portion of food, amazing hospitality and high quality food at a good price. The party place has a very unique concept and it has this lovely Victorian sofa with a pool downstairs giving it a very classy and sophisticated yet balanced look. The owner is a very polite and friendly person and always ensures that the food is up to the mark and timely. Love, Love, love the place.
Such a great place! The food was delicious, and the space is so beautifully designed. Our new favourite place in the neighbourhood :)
You have to visit here . Krishna the owner is an amazing host . The Caesar salad is a must . The chicken wings with spicy parmesean is amazing . I loved the chicken tandoori . What I also loved is the ambience and service . The chef comes to talk to you too . You have to come here for good food and lovely ambience.
Excellent. Had the tuna bowl and what a great dish. The staff is awesome, its a nice spot, and yeah Ill be back.
It was hidden gem for me. Atmosphere was so good. Specially patio area, I did not try much but they have massive collection of canadian as well as international beers. Tandoori chicken burger was awesome special curry aioli must have try that. If you looking for best hangout place with good comfort food then must have to try this place. Moreover, they have very good place for PDR for small get together / function. Where can also play snooker with multiple sticks , which makes you feel in history club. Visit you again Thanks KH Team.
Newly renovated spot just opened up! Great staff are very kind to my mom who s become a new local. Good food and vibes, would recommend!

Great food and new Reno!
Went with 5 people and all ordered something different. We had three apps and every dish was raved about. Service was attentive. I think this place is a real gem!
Wonderful well balanced and maintained restaurant!! Sparking the beauty of neighborhood. Felt really warm and welcome. A place where you might go to eat relaxedly. Team whom you can trust and bring your friends and loved ones, they will never disappoint you. Got a chance to speak with owner and the chef, loved their vision to add charm to the neighborhood. Specially liked pork schnitzel sandwich and bang bang shrimp what a meal, what a meal again! Relax with watching live sports event and challenging your friends playing pool!!! Beautiful place with delicious food.
What a great addition to the neighbourhood. They serve upscale pub food and the onion rings were divine! There s something for everyone on the menu. The tuna bowl was so fresh and had generous amount of tuna. Great service and love the decor. We will be back!
More than does the old Grover justice. Beautiful place, great service and a wonderful menu.
The Tandoori Fried Chicken was excellent with interesting flavours in te sause and spirces. A great update and rethink of this location in the Upper Beach.
Sat on the patio and was greeted by owner Chris who was lovely. Our dog received a bowl with water and treats on the patio! We had onion rings and harvest salad (both great), and burgers and fries. Rose wine was great. Kid-friendliness: Nice kids menu $10 items.
New place, very good food, interesting menu. Will definitely come back!
Great Service. Loved the Coconut onion rings and the Short Rib Mac and Cheese.
Great place for drinks and dinner. We sat on the patio which has a really warm atmosphere. Service was wonderful, thank you Arun!
Great night out!
Avoid all fish dishes. The tuna poke and the rainbow trout were inedible. We did not in fact eat them
This is the classiest bar + restaurant you can visit. The decor is so beautiful and stylish. The event space in the basement is absolutely stunning, as is the patio. Our table had the burger with fries and the fish and chips. All done to perfection! The cocktails were outstanding. You couldnt ask for more. The service was excellent. The owner was present and you can see he puts such care into this place. He greets and speaks to customers, shows people around and answers any questions you might have. The whole atmosphere is just so warm and inviting. I would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for something a little more upscale without the upscale prices. What a great addition to the neighborhood.
Amazing experience at the Kingston house. Food, drinks, vibes were immaculate. Definitely check out their patio and event space.
Krishna the owner is absolutely amazing, food is stellar and service is top notch!
We were visiting from USA. We just stop by there for dinner.very friendly people. Quality of the food was great. I think everyone will like their fries once they eat.The time spent at The Kingston house is well worth it.Thank you Toronto.See you next time. Parking: It was behind the restaurant . It was easy.

This is a great place to have drinks and food. I m really happy that they re open now. Arun is the best!! Food
The food was cold and we sent it back. Staff could not have been nicer. The second meal was so good my friend wanted to lick the plate. Very very good. Will definately be back!
Had a great dinner at this new neighbourhood restaurant. Soooo tasty! Katrina looked after us very well.
Great place with fantastic food and bartenders. Drinks were great and it seems like the staff always has something special at the bar. Great local spot to drop in for some food and drinks. Would recommend others to check it out. You will not be disappointed.
The Kingston House is a warm and friendly place with classy vibes (and lots of parking as bonus!). We spent a relaxed evening with kids at the lovely patio done aesthetically with earthy green interiors. A special thanks to Kate, our server, for her lively conversations and care. The fries and apple pie ice cream are highly recommended and so is the specially curated kids menu. We enjoyed the food, ambience and experience. Kid-friendliness: Specially curated kids menu, friendly staff
Excellent services and nice atmosphere. Great place for drinks and dinner. Tandoori fried chicken and Onion rings were amazing.
Great service and great food
Excellent, food , & service.
New restaurant. Staff was very friendly and the owner came by to introduce themselves to every customer. Everything was fresh. Great place to have a meal or a drink.
Decent food and service. Nothing spectacular; The Beech Tree has nothing to worry about. But several notches better than the Grover, and the other pubs in this neighborhood. Location has potential as gentrification moves to this part of Kingston Road. The problem is the atmosphere. When we were there for dinner, it was all oldies music in the background. 50s. Splash splash I was takin a bath . Like you d expect in a diner. Not conducive to the kind of midrange dining experience that this is supposed to be. And lighting. Way too bright. Illuminated like a highschool cafeteria. I know I am being picky and these are easy things to fix. But when people head out for a restaurant dinner, they want a physical experience that s NOT reminiscent of McDonalds. or Lick s.
Cozy, clean and bright ambience. Friendly service. Good food and a great kids menu. I will be back!
Awesome service, delicious food and warm ambience! Highly recommend this place!!! Will definitely return and spread the word!
great experience so delicious food
Great food, amazing service and nice ambiance
Came across this place by chance and so happy to have found it! Service is amazing, Annika hope I spelt it right is amazing! Super friendly and a great bartender! Shes whats brought me back along with amazing food! If you havent already tried this place its a must!!! 10/10 and a new spot for Friday nights!!
Incredible service and delicious food. Thanks!
Kid-friendliness: Very accommodating to a 2year old Food
Great food and drinks! Service can be a bit slow at times but the owner (or manager?) was helpful in getting the staffs attention. Everyone was also very nice.
This restaurant has the setup of the old pub with a great renovation brings a lot of light to the space. The Kingston hamburger is delicious, and theres a good selection on the drink menu. It felt comfortable on a cold night.
We had brunch and could not fault it! The food was delicious, the service was great and the interior has been renovated really nicely. The bill was so really reasonable as well. Would definitely go back!
It is amazing food. Very clean and tasty. We had the fish and chips and the chicken schnitzel sandwich. A great neighborhood eatery.
Nice people, very good service. Food not so tasty, I am afraid to say. I had the tandoori fried chicken and it was smothered in a creamy sauce and I wish I would have known so I could have asked for it on the side. The fried chicken was a little spongy too. Not awful or anything like that - just not special
A wonderful addition to the neighbourhood. Fresh ingredients and friendly service from Krishna and his team! Food
Great food. I had a soup and a salad they were delicious and the salad was very fresh. Excellent service. For a long time I haven t had a waiter who is smart and know his business. Free parking on the back. Definitely will visit again.
Excellent tasty food, good menu options, excellent friendly service. Average pricing and great deserts, creme- brulee was delicious. Worth a visit
Weve started looking for a new Kingston Road pub, looking to find a great contemporary British pub feel with great food and a nice beer selection. I was very happy with my Sunday brunch at Kingston House today. I had the fried eggs and sausage, with toast and a green salad. It was tasty, attractively plated, and delivered with top notch service. The Saulter Street Pilsner went down well with it. My wife has a generous bowl of oatmeal and a good cup of tea. This place is bright, modern, and looks like what a contemporary British pub looks like nowadays. Their service is professional but friendly.
Was desperate to love this new addition to our hood after reading all the rave reviews. 3 of us ate there recently and unfortunately the food was mediocre at best. The staff were lovely, the food just wasn t.
I organised a holiday party at Kingston House and the communication was awful. I initially inquired about reserving the private basement space, with a pool table, for our party and was a bit surprised to be able to book it easily. I was never asked to make a deposit or decide on a set menu or ensure we had a minimum number of guests/spend amount, all of which would have been reasonable requests. A few weeks later I was called by the owner and told they had another party of 50 ppl that would like the same time and to use the basement, would we like to go upstairs? I replied that we wanted to stay in the basement and told we could. When we arrived, we went into the basement only to be told we were having our party upstairs, where several tables were still in use. I asked that he comp somethings for us. We did get some free apps. There were only 2 servers for the restaurant (upstairs) and they also had to bar tend. It took me an hour and a half to get a drink ordered one of our guests even started taking food orders as the poor servers were drowning. We made our own fun, but it is too bad that my first experience at this local spot was so incredibly disappointing. I have no intention of returning.
