The Rabbit Hole in Toronto

We really enjoyed this spot! The atmosphere and food were exactly what we were looking for. Our server, Caleb, went above and beyond to make our visit memorable. Were definitely looking forward to coming back!

We had our team lunch here with 9 people. Food came super fast and it tasted awesome. Wait staff were amazing and very well coordinated/organized. The atmosphere 4 stars as it was a bit loud and very crowded typical British pub Will definitely book again. Cheers Food

Last night I was a patron at this bar/restaurant, which I had high hopes for based on all the good reviews and the recommendation I received from the hotel I m staying at. To preface everything, I m from Toronto, currently in Ottawa for work. I work in corporate now, but have a background in hospitality. Basically I understand the industry and best practices. From the moment I entered the establishment I was ignored and dismissed by staff. It was around 10pm, and figured maybe they re just trying to wrap up for the evening, but was told to just go downstairs where I saw the place was still in full service and busy. I sat at the bar and could barely get a glass of water for 10 minutes. The bartender working (I believe his name was Kevin) was rude, short, and dismissive. He actively ignored me, but would treat patrons that came right after me (coincidentally white males) promptly and with a smile. I finally got a menu from another bartender who was slightly better. The entire time I was there their was a vibe that I wasn t welcomed. I actually had a friend on a video call on my phone and they could overhear the interactions I was having with staff and they were shocked. Eventually another guest sat beside me and we started to chat. He told me how good the food was and gave me more restaurant recommendations. This guest was served promptly and with a smile, which was a stark difference to how I was treated. As a Canadian born and raised, I never like to deduce that race/gender could be a factor to ill treatment, but I happened to be the only black woman in the establishment and I feel that was a factor, whether conscious or not. It s a shame cause I ve heard good things about this place, and as mentioned before I ve worked in hospitality in Toronto and also gone out and have never been treated so poorly to where I felt I needed to write a review. For contrast I actually stopped at the Bier Market just down the street earlier in the day and received amazing service from the host to the server. It was incredible and I thought that would continue to be my experience in Ottawa. I always make sure to tip well, but based on the service I received, for the first time in my life I left 10% to reflect how poorly the staff did at Rabbit Hole. I hope management takes the time to remind their staff that being hospitable is part of being in the industry. I have friends who work with the O&B group so this whole experience has been disappointing

I was generally underwhelmed with my experience at The Rabbit Hole. Based on the pictures the vibe and the atmosphere didnt match. But what bothered me most was that I flew in for only one day to visit Toronto and I while was looking for a good and memorable food experience it was mostly disappointing. I made a reservation for two because I found their food items on their menu intriguing and the pictures looked nice, but come to find out that during happy hour they only service starters and small items. Nowhere (!!!) on the website does it say that!! So I wasted my only opportunity to get something good to eat in Toronto on finger food... and yet, after 3 starters and two cocktails, I ended up with a $112 bill after everything was said and done and still left hungry. On the positive side the sliders and the scotch egg were really tasty.

Always a favorite when I m in Toronto! Bartenders are friendly and provide great service, love to try the sandwich of the day, steak pie is delicious as well. Have never had a bad meal here and look forward to my next visit!

The food was good, as was the service. The ambiance was very pleasant - comfortable and almost ideal for lunch and conversation. The music level at the Rabbit Hole, however, follows the current trend of no longer being content to stay in the background. It was not bad when we first sat down, but as more people arrived, voices were incrementally raised to be heard above the music and then increasingly above the voices of the diners themselves. It is an easy fix if the proprieters dare.

Down the rabbit hole we go, To a pub of British hue, Where crumpets, bubbles, steaks do flow, A quirky, quaintest crew. The service, quick, the staff, quite bright, But prices, oh, a dreadful sight! We ordered eggs, a Scottish treat, And chips with steak, a hearty feat. The fish and chips, a classic fare, Though pricey, tasty, beyond compare. The pubs quite cozy, warm and bright, With digital fires, a curious sight. So if youre feeling peckish, bold, And have a pocketful of gold, The Rabbit Holes the place to be, For a quirky meal, wild and free.

Ordered the Atlantic salmon which was super tasty, but the portion was so small I ended up having a snack once I got home.

The food was just okay, honestly. It didn t have much flavor, and I was a bit disappointed.

Gem of a spot in the heart of the Financial District to get a great drink. They have happy hour after 8:30pm on Fridays and the cocktails are delicious! Service was fantastic and the atmosphere is very British and classy. Would highly recommend to anyone!

Ya boi Feroze was an all time amazing server, checking in with us at a healthy rate. Food was top notch, well worth the price. Pork loins were this fancy lemon-honey that left me wanting more. The crème Brûlée was phenomenal crunchy sugar to smooth the sweet tooth on to top up a scrumptious paste. This is the perfect place for a date or a breakup. :)

First time. I just wanted to give it a try with my husband and friends before going to a show. Very disappointed cocktail nothing out of the ordinary and food awful, (had a burger )not to mention the light is so dim that it s hard to read menu. The place very crowded ( referring to how the tables are set) , noisy, hardly see anything. Not the best vibe. If the restaurant is trying to reach kind of a romantic place, guess what nope looks more like a dating place or god know what is going on in there. A bit of more light and more airy would do this place nicely. The service was great. Our waitress was very friendly. Will I return? Nope

What a lovely friendly gastropub the Rabbit Hole is. 4 of us dined here a month ago and couldnt fault the food and service. Two of us had the Steak & Mushroom pie that was delicious and hearty. The creamy buttery mashed potato was to die for. The others had the Roasted Cod which was very nice and the Atlantic Salmon a firm favourite having had it before. Because the meals were so filling we all shared a dessert the Chai Brulee, a delightful finish to a wonderful evening. Great cocktails and a really good pint of Guinness according to the other half. Will definitely be visiting again.

The food here was fantastic, cooked to perfection. The drinks were great, with a good variety to choose from. The atmosphere was relaxed, the decor interesting. The wait staff were all friendly and very fast, even during the busy supper time rush. Overall a fantastic experience, and we look forward to visiting again.

Very good elevated British pub food. The August quick fixe is a pretty good deal for the amount and quality of food you get, absolutely no complaints; it was delicious and i left satisfied. Service was also impeccable, everyone was professional, fast and courteous. will come again, and try some other items on the menu! good place for a treat yourself type of deal. the draft beer selection is okay, but not particularly large, with toronto downtown prices. but they do 20oz steins; and also have cocktails available.

came in for dinner this Saturday and our server Aaron made sure we had the best experience helping us pick the most popular dishes with the set menu and the fish and chips were delicious! We were not disappointed and will be coming back soon

Went there for happy hours with a colleague. Its an OK place for a quick drink. Food menu was very limited and crowd is mostly bankers and office professionals from the buildings nearby

An update: after contacting customer service online things got straightened out pretty fast. Thank you! 5 stars for the customer service and changing overall rating to 4. Original: I and my colleague were visiting Toronto for business and we went there for a pie day. We ordered scotch egg and rabbit hole crumpet- both delicious, as well as two pies they had on the menu- steak and mushroom pie and vegetable pie. The pies were fine, vegetable was better than the steak pie. Overall the food was good. Service- a waitress shift changed in the middle of our dinner and things were taking longer than usual. However, we were having a nice conversation, so I did not mind this too much. Then bill came- it felt higher than anticipated but it was dark in the room and I just paid it A couple of weeks later, when I had to submit the receipt for reimbursement, I could not believe my eyes- there were two items tacked on to the bill: Espresso martini and some golden ticket for a 33CA$ total! I assume it was and honest mistake (like waitresses messing up table orders when passing shifts??), but how do I get reimbursed for it?

I d only been there for lunch during business hours and for networking events, but I m glad to have had dinner on their patio. The pork loin was delicious but the dish wasn t filling.

My wife picked this place for my birthday dinner. An excellent choice as it turned out. Everything was marvellous. Thoroughly recommend a visit. Will be a returning customer for sure. We started with the pea & asparagus salad and the bay scallops. Main courses of grilled mackerel and the steak & mushroom pie. All very tasty. Wasnt going to have dessert as was quite full but they were nice enough to offer us a complimentary sticky toffee pudding to share for my birthday. Am so glad they did as it was the best sticky toffee I have ever had. Lovely experience and perfect service. Thank you to all.

Waitress rushed us and said a couple of times not rushing you not trying to rush you Really? Why talk about not rushing unless you are rushing! She took one of our plates away before my partner had finished. Discourteous. Etiquette dictates staff must wait till all are finished their plate otherwise, as in this case, my partner felt rushed to finish because my plate had been taken. Gave us no time to choose from menu. The dining room was not full only two other tables besides us. Won t return

Food was ok, not sure $29 for fish n chips is good value? Batter was ok though, Scotch egg was pretty good but piccalilli? Nah nothing like British piccalilli! Service was good, place was pretty busy, BUT not sure why North America thinks British pubs are dark and dingy? Having run pubs in the East of England for ten years before moving here I can tell you they are not like that? Overall pretty good EDIT: returned almost a year later, service was good, food ok, two things really the spiced pear crumble is not a crumble? Its a crisp, and piccalilli is not traditional either again not sure why North American pubs dont pull it off properly? If you are going to build a British pub then do it properly PLEASE

the atmosphere of the restaurant was great however the service was disappointing. felt like we were not welcome at all, staff never made eye contact so in case u needed anything no chance of getting help from them. over the hour we were there, no one mentioned happy hour deals to us and we asked for it(I was aware of it since i booked from OpenTable app) generally the food was ok and cocktails were the highlight of the night but service was bad.

Had a very good dinner here a couple weeks ago. The service was really friendly and pretty attentive considering how busy it was. The portions were pretty large for an O&B restaurant. Best things we had were the Scotch Egg and the Crispy Rabbit Crumpet. Would definitely go back to try a few more items.

Our family visited the Rabbit Hole last week for the first time. We had a delightful experience. The food was the best we ve had. It was our first time having rabbit and scotch egg; incredible flavours. Elegant, classy dining and stellar service! We are already recommending the Rabbit Hole to friends and family. A very special thank you to Chef Jacob and his team! A memorable experience and we will surely return again. Thank you!

Upon arrival, we were seated at what can only be described as a large stool. When our food arrived, the waitress had to precariously balance our meals on the edge of our large stool/table with my plate actually hanging over the edge. I asked to be moved to a normal table, and the waitress and a waiter were happy to help us move. Nice atmosphere. Warm and cosy. The food was nice, although my pie really should have come with at least a sprig or two of greenery rather than being a lone obelisk on the plate, and my partners dish was only just warm. An ok selection of wines. Some of the staff were excellent and attentive. However, a few of the younger ones were a little vacant. Overall, it is definitely worth a visit.

Ive been to the Rabbit Hole over five times, so far. Its a work lunch and happy hour favorite. The food, cocktails, service and cozy atmosphere are consistently fantastic. The strawberry trifle from the summer is my favorite dish to date, I hope they bring it back again this summer!

Overall a GREAT experience. I would give a 4.5 if possible. Some minor things that I felt would have made this a 5 start review: FOOD: the batter around the crumpets could be less salty SERVICE: a little bit more attentive. While they kept an eye on us, no one seemed to notice the empty glass needing a refill. ATMOSPHERE: the music was a bit loud. I had difficulties hearing the person beside me.

This is the second time I ve been here. I love the fish and chips here. It s well plated, good sized portion. I also love the coziness of the place. The wait staff are all amazing and pay close attention to what you need. They ensure to get you out in time for your next meeting just make sure you make reservations to ensure you get a spot to eat as there isn t many seats in the first place! I would be happy to come back here to eat again! I definitely would eat here more often if they had more dairy substitutions as there s lots on the menu that has dairy (which I fully acknowledge makes it taste good, I just can t take dairy)

Very disappointed with my second experience here. Had a birthday lunch late November with my coworkers and we all had a wonderful time. The waiter who served us was extremely kind and professional. We were so impressed with the food, cocktails and service that we decided to return the week after for lunch. We called to book a reservation for 7 people at 1pm and the hostess/waitress told us we should just walk-in. When we arrived they told us we would have to wait 20-30 minutes for a table, however, we can sit at the bar as it was empty. We saw there were 3 empty tables and asked whether we could sit there instead and she checked the system and said we could if we leave by 3pm, as that is the next reservation. We agreed as we would leave by 2pm anyways. As she was walking us towards the tables, another waitress/manager (Asian with blonde hair) came by and said we cannot sit there. She said it is reserved in a very demeaning tone and when we told her the other waitress said we could dine there and leave by 3pm she just ignored us. We ended up sitting at the bar instead. Last time we all ordered the Lancaster hot pot and it was absolutely decadent and delicious. This time, the potatoes were undercooked and the lamb tasted a tad sour. It was clear that the quality of the food is not consistent. Consistency is key as it builds trust with a business. We were under a tight time frame so we were not able to send the undercooked food back. The bartender recognized that we were frustrated with the seating situation and some of us witnessed him talking to the manager and the Asian blonde hair woman about the situation. The Asian blonde hair woman aggressively approached me specifically (I was the only other Asian in the group) and spoke to me in an extremely offensive manner. She came and said I just want to clear things up that we cannot give you that table because it is reserved and I explained that the other waitress had said we could sit there and her coming after the fact and denying us was unprofessional. If it was just a miscommunication, she could have handled it with more professionalism and with less of an attitude. She did not want to listen to what I had to say as after she said her piece she walked away. The lack of service from this particular individual was peculiar to say the least. We finished the meal by 2pm and we saw that the 3 tables were still unoccupied. Confirming that we could have sat there but that 1 particular person wanted to treat us condescendingly. This one singular experience was enough to deter all of us from returning ever again. As someone who was very impressed by the service just a week before and enjoyed the food, I had suggested the restaurant to my friends and brought them to try it and I feel very disappointed that this behavior has made it so that we will not return again.

The staff are great! Accommodating, professional, quick and kind. We had a large group and they always made sure we had anything we needed. It was awesome! The cocktails were top notch, and the whole place has a warm, old-timey-cocktail-bar-slash-english-pub atmosphere thats cozy and classy at the same time. Try the Oaxaca Old Fashioned, very well made.

Went for winterlicious and it was disappointing. The food is bland. We should have walked with our own salt and seasoning honestly. Very mediocre food and service. We expected better given that it s in the middle of downtown and for that price.

Recently dined here and was intrigued by the trendy ambience and the concept of a London-inspired restaurant. The place was packed with people, mostly financiers grabbing a drink or dinner after work. The noise level was quite loud, which added to the lively atmosphere. I was impressed by the menu, which offered a variety of British-inspired dishes, including scotch eggs, crushed salmon, and a steak and mushroom pie. Unfortunately, I was disappointed with the taste of the food as everything I ordered was overly salty. The presentation was decent, but it could have been better and more creative. For instance, the meat pie looked unappetizing with its poor presentation. Customer service was friendly but not very attentive. Overall, while I appreciated the concept of the Rabbit Hole, I am not sure if I will return. I was hoping for a more authentic London experience, but unfortunately, the food didnt live up to my expectations. 3/5

Have returned Jan 2023 Would return. Surprisingly good, Beef Tartare is worth it, expect high quality food and great service. Beef Tartare comes out to a really pretty plate, scotch quail eggs perfectly executed with runny yolk and a crisp crunchy crust. Strong tang yet creamy finish - only missing thing was more carb to work with the tartare. Yorkshire pudding was great. Overall, one of the better ones in Toronto. Fries are also excellent here. Takes AMEX. Sep2022: Butter Chicken: Skippable Jan2023: Beef Tartare: Must Try. Still consistently one of the better ones in Toronto.

Portion is very small and no taste at all

I went here for lunch with work colleagues for the winterlicous menu. I opted out as the portion sizes are huge! It is definitely bang for your buck. The decor is nice and very antique looking. I had the ale battered halibut and it was really good! I really liked how they charred the lemon , because it give a really nice flavour.

Fantastic experience! They were super accommodating when it came to allergies! Our server Jules took the experience over the top with her fantastic customer service! Went on Valentines Day and was lucky enough to get a table. The decor and vibe definitely feels above the normal, the bar looked fantastic. I waited almost 20 minutes after I was seated to be seen by the server and get a glass of water. Luckily I had the menu so I was fully prepared to order a drink, appetizer and main all at once. Scotch Egg appetizer was delicious in every way, but it showed up before my cocktail, kind of odd. And when my plate was cleared, by the server not a busser, no comments or questions as to how it was. Got my main, Lancashire Hotpot, shortly after which was delicious except for the fact it was served in a cast iron pie dish on a plate right next to a cold salad. Luckily the hotpot was too hot to eat right away so I was able to finish the salad before it was wilted, there were some warm bites of salad which isnt the most appetizing. Although the food was superb, the lack of attention with service really took away from the experience.

Stop by this place for the first time to grab a quick bit and couple pints, So I wanted to stay on the safe side and grab the burger, and I must say the BURGER was crazy the best burger ive ever had, delicious with so much flavours!

Had a lovely dinner here for a friends birthday. Made a reservation but depending on when you would go, you may not need one. It was incredibly crowded up until the start of the hockey game. After that it was pretty empty. It was a little indirect to find the entrance. I came here in winter when their patio entrance was closed. Went all the way up the stairs only to see a sign redirecting me through the entrance inside Scotia Plaza. I sat facing out the window and saw many people do the same route that I did. Food is very British pub-inspired. I ordered steak tartare, chips (steak fries), and sticky toffee pudding. Scotch quail egg was such a nice addition to the steak tartare which was wholly delicious. The chips were seasoned very nicely and crispy on the outside / soft on the inside, as they should be. The sticky toffee pudding was next level! Sprinkled with oat crumble which was a great addition. It added a nice variety in texture for the dish. The Queen of Hearts cocktail was great too. Service was fantastic - friendly, polite, prompt, knowledgeable, and frequent. Pretty decor. Wonderland-inspired. I particularly liked the art on the upholstery on the backs of some chairs and a bust of a rabbit on the wall. I would definitely consider coming back for happy hour or another special occasion dinner, barring game nights or factoring timing.

Good good at a good price for Downtown. They are nice people and will make things right. Not wheelchair friendly - washrooms down the stairs. They are connected to the path.

A great place to bring a date or after work drinks, especially for happy hour. $12 for their cocktails is pretty sweet. Loved the Adelaide Pimms. The lavender flavor was so great for a lavender lover like me. We had their appetizer called bubbles and squeaks which was very good! Its the vegetarian version of the Dutch bitterballen. The mustard it came with was so good. Our waiter, Kieran, was attentive, friendly and gave great suggestions. Overall, a great experience and its a place we will repeat!!

I went to the rabbit hole after seeing the Google reviews & was not impressed. The service was fantastic, very helpful, sociable & accommodating. The food however was a let down. I got the sausage rolls & fish n chips. Fish was too fishy. The chips were tasty and was a reasonable portion. Sausage rolls could have come from a grocery store freezer. Also gave the Caesar a try at the end, I didnt even want to finish the last couple sips, which is very unlike me. The service was the only pleasant part but even then I wouldnt recommend this place. 2/5

Came for dinner on the weekend, wasn t busy. Dark pub type decor. Had the scotch egg, lovely layered texture of crunchy outside and soft inside but heavy, heavy salt almost like it was all brined. Couldn t finish it, rinsed with water. Then a rabbit confit crumpet, soft texture but again super salty like brined. Couldn t finish it, rinsed with water. Had a monkfish main course with veggies. Fish was good flavor after peeling off the crusted salty ham or something on the outside, veggies were good except the parts in the pool of soy sauce. Dozens of tables inside, half a dozen on a patio on Adelaide. Unisex washrooms were clean but airplane sized. I can t get past the saltiness. Still gulping water.

It was our first time eating at The Rabbit Hole and we will definitely be going again next time we are in Toronto! We went for brunch. Great selection on the menu, everything we ordered was amazing! By far the *best* eggs benedict... Ever! For dessert, we shared the Dorset Lardy Cake - sooo yummy! We highly recommend going to The Rabbit Hole when you want to experience a great meal with fantastic service.

Enjoyed the mad hatter cocktail, scotch egg had way too much salt. Steak had some interesting flavours but came a little overdone. Strawberry trifle was ok. The service was very attentive. Overall Id come back for the atmosphere and a drink, but may not for food.

Overall rlly good! I got the halibut and chips (9/10). Soo good. Only complaint is i wish the portion size was alil bigger! Also triedthe poached rhubarb for dessert (9/10). Only downside was that i wish all parts of the plated rhubarb was edible. As for cocktails, i got the mr tiggy winkles (7.5/10). The honey gin was v nice. Light and refreshing and the roasted thyme added a nice aroma. But nothing mind blowing. Service was 10/10. The interior design is also so lovely. Antique, sophisticated, woody and cosy (dimly lit). Price: $$-$$$ depending on what u order

Went for brunch and the fish cake Benny was unreal! The cocktails were fresh and original. It was my husbands birthday and that was noted in the reservation but I hadn t said anything to the server about it, and they still surprised us with a desert. The manager and server were both nice and hospitable. Will definitely be back!

Halibut and Chips were awesome. So was the Atlantic Salmon. Absolutely amazing food. Very professional and attentive service. Great ambience. The best seats are the high table inside. We have a winner. 10/10

The food here are delicious. The staffs are friendly and professional. Very well dressed. I had their tartar and burger. The tartar is extremely fulfilling because it comes with a lot of meat and scotch egg. The burger is well balanced with sweet pickle and the tops it comes with. The fries are nice and compliment their burger really well! I would have to say this is a solid burger. Only comes in medium though but solid burger still. I had their sticky toffee pudding, can t go wrong with that. Overall, this is a solid fancy British inspired restaurant/ pub. I would come back for the tartare. This is a great spot. I would highly recommend for quick drinks or if you crave great British inspired food. Vegetarian options: They have burger also vegan option

Brunch was delicious and an undiscovered gem downtown.

Elevated English comfort food. Everything we had was cooked to perfection. Fish and chips wasnt overly fried or greasy, chicken was so tender it melted in your mouth. Amazing cocktails and super cool atmosphere inside and out.

I liked the place a lot - very atmospheric and drinks were delicious! We also enjoyed the food although the portion size for the chicken tikka massala was a bit small for $25. The mushroom steak pie was filling and very tasty. Our server was also fantastic and made great recommendations.

We went to The Rabbit Hole for Summerlicious in the past, and had a good experience. The customer service is excellent and very accommodating. Making a reservation was easy and communication with the restaurant unimpeded. The interior was very nice and the restaurant had a good atmosphere. The lamb was cooked very well but the sweet corn risotto was by far the best thing we had. I would like to return at a time other than summerlicious, as I found the the preset menu prices on the steeper side. Overall a nice experience and restaurant that I would recommend.

Great place for after-work drinks with their extensive wine and cocktail menu! Lovely server recommended the Adelaide Pimm s which was delicious. Ordered the steak and mushroom pie which was flavoursome. Definitely recommend, and will be back very soon :)

Absolutely perfect service and GREAT food! I went there for summerlicious and would happily come again would they put those dishes on their regular menu. I had the cauliflower steak. It was total bliss. We were served by the bald, Indian server, who was serving the European way. Absolutely perfect, totally deserved his 15%+ tip. One of the best service experiences Ive had in years! Highly recommend this place.

The space is good and the service was fine. We both had the halibut and fish which wasn t very good, especially at $30 / plate. Certainly not a well done battered fish, more of a sub par breading that left us both disappointed and the fish was more mushy than flakey.

Great atmosphere, relaxing vibe!

I wasnt used to Egg Scott, but it was okay. The fish and chips were very tasty, and the french fries were great. The salmon steak also looked and tasted good, and we had a very satisfying meal here. And the servers are friendly.

Love the food, rich with flavour and surly tasty, fresh and delicious. Highly recommended. It is like hidden spot inside Scotia plaza with beautiful patio, happy hour menu, breakfast, lunch, dinner and ofcourse Saturday brunch. We all loved our food and service. This place is very accessible via Path, walking distance to union and king station. I personally have tired beef and mushrooms pie which I found it delicious for the 1st time as I had given up on beef Pie before so surly that is my to go meal in this place.

We had a very special night with one of my best friends who came from Vancouver after a long time! The foods are extremely delicious. The distinguishing point was the cocktails that Eian suggested and made for us! It was amazing and totally in line with the flavors of foods (one cocktail with starter and one with main course)! We came here start off fall with cozy vibes and comfort food. The vibe is very comfortable and cozy. The service was friendly and prompt. We had the risotto and salmon which were both very good. The scallops were less flavourful than I prefer. The espresso martini was good. The sticky toffee pudding was a great finish to the meal.

Simple yet very delicious food. FOOD: Steak & Mushroom Pie: absolutely amazing, the best meat pie I ever had. The gravy brings the dish to a whole new level. Ale-battered Halibut & Chips: the fish stayed crispy for a surprisingly long time. Huge portion, tons of fries. The tartar sauce is my most favorite. DRINKS: Queens tea: I got shock when they brought out something looks like a cup of tea. Taste like lemon tea but with liquor. My most fav cocktail on the menu. blue cocktail (cant remember name): taste ok, nothing really stand out. SERVICE: my first waiter served me for the first 20 mins then he clocked out, hes very nice but the 2nd waiter I got look a little grumpy and impatient. VIBE: classy interior, feels like being in 17th 18th century. The vibe feels quite formal and heavy for a bar.

Love the ambience and the food quality at this place! Gorgeous interior design, an intelligent crowd and friendly staff make this place very attractive. We came there a couple of times. Last time I had a salmon, which was absolutely fantastic with the special flavors I have never tried before! Bravo to the chef! Will definitely come back!

The best restaurant experience we ve had in years! We (me, my husband, our friend from out of town, and our two kids) had dinner here tonight and it was outstanding. Excellent food and even better service. I never bother posting reviews because most places are mediocre even when they re good but this place deserved 5* for our meal tonight. The service was prompt and so accommodating. I asked for substitutions and they were totally gracious and got everything perfect on the first try. The manager bent over backwards to help us, even carrying our stroller down the stairs (there are a few small flights that are not avoidable). They did everything super quickly but we never felt rushed, just the perfect pace of service which was so rare. My roasted chicken was one of the best chicken dishes I have ever had, it was perfect. My husband and friend also loved their food (fish&chips and pork tenderloin). We each had a sticky toffee pudding for dessert and it was one of the best restaurant desserts I have ever had, there s some kind of crunchy granola that makes it amazing. We eat out at least 3x per week in Toronto and I almost never feel like the meal was perfect. This place was a great unexpected find. We will definitely be back. Edited to add: below in the recommended dishes section, I would have recommended the chicken and pork tenderloin even more than the fish&chips but there weren t buttons for those two dishes. Everything we ordered is something I would recommend! Dietary restrictions: They made multiple substitutions perfectly and they didn t make us feel badly about it, we really really appreciated it! And everything was exactly as ordered, perfect. Kid-friendliness: It s upscale but they totally accommodated our 3.5yo and baby! Wheelchair accessibility: The only downside of this restaurant is that it is not at all accessible, sorry.

The Rabbit Hole is incredible. Customer service felt personalized and our waiter was extremely attentive. Their craft cocktails are delicious and unique. The food was perfectly prepared both our meals were 10/10. The homemade tarter for the fish is out of this world!! Outdoor seating was plentiful and comfy. The interior is cozy and eclectic. We can t wait to come back here next time we visit!!!

We finally went to this place after planning to go since ages! We tried their pork tenderloin and steak and chips for main course and both the items were good. The service was excellent and I think the highlight of our visit was their drinks! They have a large variety of cocktails to choose from including the basic regular ones like my all time favourite Gin & Tonic.

Patio is in a awkwardly tall veranda and has a dramatic and ostentatious rather than cozy feel

Tried to go during happy hour, apparently you need a reservation even for that since all the Toronto elitist Financial folk take up yh establishment, just like ever pub/restaurant in the area

Went for a team lunch and everyone looked to have great plates (Salmon, Risotto, Fish/Chips). Unfortunately my lamb was supposed to be slow cooked but was very chewy and clearly cooked a la carte upon order. Disappointed that it was a $32 dish for what amounted to bad takeout.

The egg is too salty for me.

My waiter (the French lady, originally from Bretagne) was very great and kept checking that I was comfortable. However, just like other Toronto restaurants, they give their worst tables to solo diners even if you book far out in advance and there are other empty seats. I was placed in a very awkward part of the restaurant and that diminished the quality of my experience. The food was great. Loved the scotch eggs (very tasty) and the pie. Looking forward to revisiting to try the lamb dish & toffee pudding. If you re missing British pub food, it s a really great place.

I loved this place for its charming atmosphere and delicious cocktails. The theme with Alice in wonderland creates a fairytale atmosphere.

Stopped in midweek and enjoyed the patio on a relatively mild October day. It did get cool and the heaters weren t working, so we didn t stay as long as we might have. Pie-tober is a very cute event and loved the option to indulge in very British pies paired with select beers. The pumpkin soup with bacon was a stand-out, as was the veg pie and sticky toffee pudding. Service was absolutely fantastic! Would return to try their version of a scotch egg or fish and chips.

All of the staff members were so welcoming and our server was extremely attentive and knowledgeable about the extensive menus. Had chicken pie. Slightly sour taste. Potatoes could be more creamy, was a bit dry. Somewhat pricey for the portion. Expected given the location. The venue, service, and cocktails were excellent. Lots of attention to detail on theme with old English pub meets whimsical Wonderland. The wallpaper was so fun. I would bring friends back here for cocktails. The Duchess was my favourite. For food, we enjoyed the Welsh rarebit and lentil cottage pie.

The restaurant is a nice one. Foods and services are good. The only thing I can see to improve is the washroom .

I always pass by this place, curious to know what is The Rabbit Hole... should have stayed curious. For what its worth, the atmosphere has that Alice in Wonderland theme that provides the photo-op, and it seems to be a popular place to grab a drink. I came here for dinner with a friend, who was surprised to know theres a restaurant that serves British Food in the city. Of all the appetizers, my friend wanted Calamari, which was fine, it was a bit salty. My friend was explaining to me which dishes were authentic, and so I decided to try out the Lamb Sirloin (wanted to know what was Haggis). When served, I was a bit underwhelmed by the serving size. The dish itself was fine, but it didnt really capture me or made me think it was outstanding. My friend ordered the Steak & Mushroom Pie, which looked quite big, but he disregarded the Mash Potatoes (said it was too much). Brandon was good, but seemed a bit uninterested when my friend was asking questions about the menu. I think the place is better for drinks, since majority of the crowd were standing around before the place mellowed out as the night continued. I went down The Rabbit Hole, and once was enough.

Gastropub dedicated to British fare topped by kitschy British decor. Enjoyed the Queen of Hearts cocktail and the beef tartar.

Beautiful atmosphere with a unique menu. It may seek simple at first, but the flavours will surprise and delight you! Highly recommend for a night out with friends or a date night. And take a chance and try the chef special, the night we were there it was delicious! Friendly and kind service too.

Went on a Thursday night after work at 5:30pm, and it was PACKED so glad we had reservations. Its a busy, crowded, and loud place so its great for some after work happy hour (until 6pm). I thought the food was great, and well-priced. I had the beef tartare, which came with the quill eggs, and the Welsh rarebit. Both were amazing. However, I didnt find the cocktail I ordered that special, but maybe I just didnt choose a good one (I had the Tokyo Spritz). Service was excellent. The waiter was knowledgeable and attentive, refilled water many times, and helped us use a coupon.

Spent $300 on dinner and drinks for 3 people. The cocktails were good. The food wasn t. We had the steak pie with buttermilk mash potato, crumpets, scotch egg, calamari. Very bland and tastes like the only seasoning they used was salt. It looks good but taste like nothing. The buttermilk mash potato didn t even taste like potato. The only thing we enjoyed was the sticky toffee pudding. It was really good.
