Been here three times - always been a great experience. Fantastic food that tastes fresh and almost home cooked (in the best way)! Kitchen is from the Yucatan region of Mexico and they infuse their regional flair into the cuisine. Food tastes authentic and portion sizes are large at decent prices for Toronto. Great spot that should get more love!
This was a blind walk in for my friend and I and what a fabulous find it was!!! The food and atmosphere was so authentic. Absolutely amazing guacamole 😋. I had to order it twice!! Omg. My shrimp tacos were packed with flavor! I love it if the city but already planning a return trip for this amazing food.
I had a great experience at Toloache Mexican Cuisine. The food was delicious and full of authentic flavours. I tried the enchiladas, and they were the best I’ve ever had—so flavourful and made with fresh ingredients. The restaurant has a cozy, welcoming feel, and the food tastes homemade. If you’re looking for amazing Mexican food, this is the place to go!
A seriouslllly good Mexican spot with things on the menu you can’t usually get! We got the aguachile, taco trio, pambazo (chorizo potato sandwich), and sopa di lima (lime soup). Absolutely will be coming back!
Toloache Mexican Cuisine offers a mixed experience. The ambiance, especially on the charming patio with its candle-lit setting, sets a delightful tone, adding a romantic touch to the evening. The plating and flavors of the nachos with guacamole were exceptional, showcasing the restaurant's attention to detail and culinary skill. However, the tacos fell slightly short, being drier than anticipated. While the fried bean side provided some relief, the absence of sauce suggestions by the server was a missed opportunity to elevate the tacos to their full potential. In traditional Mexican cuisine, sauces play a crucial role in adding moisture and flavor to tacos, so their absence may have contributed to the slightly lackluster experience. Despite this, the pricing, while a bit surprising, was reasonable compared to other establishments. The availability of dessert, albeit not listed on the menu, added a sweet touch to the meal, although the portion size may have left something to be desired considering the price. Additionally, the occasional whiff of unpleasant odor outside, while somewhat mitigated by the patio setting, detracted from the overall dining atmosphere. In summary, while there were notable highlights, such as the ambiance and nachos, there were also missed opportunities and areas for improvement, particularly in ensuring the tacos are served with appropriate condiments to enhance their flavor and texture.
We were walking around Queen St. when we spotted this nice little restaurant that was open until midnight. Staff was really friendly when we got in. The place was really warm inside, so I'm glad they informed us about their patio! The vibe was really nice. Their patio was nicely decorated with lights, not too dim, not too bright, perfect for night photos. 😄 We got a small order of their nacho fiesta for $10.99 and I was expecting a single small portion but was surprised that it was actually a good portion for two! Nachos were topped with tomatoes, onions, and beans with a drizzle of sour cream and just the right amount of cheese mixed in. We added guacamole on top for an extra $4 which was a pretty even amount for the portion of nachos that we got. I don't like cilantro but even though it was mixed in with the guac, I liked it so much I finished the whole thing with my boyfriend. 😂 We also got the taco combo for $21 that came with 3 tacos and a side of beans, you can choose different meats, we chose 2 carnitas and 1 with chorizo. It was pretty good but we didn't get to try it with any sauce so it felt a little dry but when you mix it with their beans it tasted amazing! They don't have a dessert menu, they just have something called 'cake of the day'. What we got was a slice of bread with nuts in it which was drizzled with a sweet syrup that tasted like strawberry. Overall it was a great experience and the price was pretty decent for everything, maybe except for the dessert. $14 is a little steep for a slice of bread. 😅 We'll definitely come back again to try their daily special as well and try the tacos with sauce next time. 👍 I'm hoping they will eventually sell alcohol since I really liked the vibe. The place seems like a great place to drink with friends on a late night. 😁
New Mexican restaurant in the neighborhood. We had the Burrito chorizo, choriqueso and the enchiladas. The best was the Choriqueso. Very nicely seasoned. Soft warm tortillas and very yummy. If you like lots of rice in your burrito than this is for you. I'm not big on rice so not my preference. I have to say though the rice is done very well here .. fragrant fluffy flavourful. Enchiladas green sauce was spot on. Complementary chips and salsa sauce (not Pico de Gallo. I think they make the chips in house cause it was yummy! Had that freshly deep fried taste. VERY friendly service and great attention to our questions and preferences. Lost a star for the ladies washroom and forgot about our drink ... we waited for a while and gave up. There was a few groups that came in and the server was by himself. I would come back to try some of the other dishes.
Great experience dining here recently. Best service we've had in a while.. Food was great although a wee bit under-seasoned, but it was still delicious as they had a few sauces we can add to our liking. You can tell all the food was so incredibly fresh! Even tasted great as leftovers the next day. Didn't have high chairs but our little ones (2.5 and 5) were able to eat at the table just fine in their sturdy dining chairs. Will definitely visit again 😃

This place is so pretty inside and the food is delicious. Definitely recommend the burrito ask for the spicy sauce it was amazing. I came I and realized I only had a bit of cash and not my wallet. Noelle was so kind and recommended what the money I had would get me. Thanks!!
Authentic delicious Great friendly staff Food
The BEST Mexican food! My husband and I drove all the way from Ajax just to have it again. Every part of their dishes are cooked like its meant to pair together. Ive had the Napoles Burrito and the mushroom tacos, and both were outstanding! As a vegetarian, I HIGHLY recommend this place.
The best Mexican food I ve ever had. Guacamole was incredible. The cactus ensalada was with delicious. And the quesadillas were wonderful.

I ve gone here for late night takeout a couple of times. Once to get some guacamole (which was one of the best I ve had.) And most recently to try their nachos. I got a lot of extras on it mushrooms, guacamole, extra cheese etc. Large portion which I could see satiating three people over drinks. Their ingredients are quality.

Food is absolutely delicious. Not complicated, just solid classics like tacos and guac done to perfection. Good vegetarian options too. Vegetarian options: Good veggie options. Cactus was delicious. Plenty of choice for pescetarians too. Dietary restrictions: Good pescetarian choices.
The quesadilla was terrible. If it was made by an authentic Mexican cook, I ll pass. It was really disappointing. The pico was absent on the plate, when I mentioned it, I was told it s in the quesadilla I was confused. And what s with the terrible mild marble cheese? Had high hopes. Hopefully my friend s dog enjoys the leftovers.
Vegetarian options: They have vegetarian and vegan options for their dishes, The burrito I got was amazing and the guy gave me there proper hot sauce which was full of flavour worth the money and very filling! Food

Ordered nachos, some Al pastor and chorizo tacos. The pork in the Al pastor was kind of dry. The hot sauce they gave for the nachos was pretty good. Service was very friendly.
Bland, greasy and lazily made. Tacos were soggy and chewy, pork dry and chunky, nothing melted in my mouth and it was not worth the money at all. I would never return. It was consistently blah.

Food was plain, no seasoning and in general no restaurant quality food, We went there yesterday night, it was empty when we arrived however the street was very busy what should be a sing but we were hungry and it was 1 min away from the concert place . I ordered shrimp quesadilla and the shrimps were bad, bad smell and bad taste. Not a safe place to eat! It would be better for them to say that they don t have shrimps. I was afraid to get sick for eating spoiled seafood. It can be dangerous!!!! No offense, but hard to believe that it was a chef cooking. Even my teenagers do must tastier Mexican food and we are not Mexicans. Service were good. If I could i would give negative points.

As a foodies, trying so many places for food. I would say this is the worst place Ive been to. I have been told that order will be ready in 15 to 20 mins but is like close to 35 mins wait and when I asked the staff nicely about my order. They said sorry is busy but I see that they are working in slow mode and told me you want to refund? We dont care so I dont know why the service is so bad here. I am very disappointed in this place and I would not come back and highly suggest no one to come.

Food was amazing. Ordered some tacos and the meat was savory. Their sauces were amazing too. They give you two spicy sauces and then you can ask for even a more spicy one. Place has a nice latin ambiance, music was lively. Service was fast and the staff was really nice.

Ive ate here a few times. Excited for the a new place near by. However food is not fresh at all. I ordered a chicken burrito, and saw the preparation. The chicken was an unseasoned, bland, was literally a boiled breast , pulled from a bucket of water, put on to the flat top. It had been bad before but was hoping it would improve after the restaurant found its way, but after seeing the preparation I would not recommend eating here. Many better options near by.

The truth is that outside of Mexico it is difficult to find our flavor and here they come close to our flavor but the best thing is the atmosphere

My tacos were tasty, but they were pretty dry. My friend had a quesadilla which they really enjoyed. The service was really friendly and warm and they were able to make alterations to accommodate my friends requests for a vegetarian meal. Overall, pretty good - I would go again and just order something to go on the tacos. The portions were fair for the price and on par with other tacos in the city.

The worst Mexican restaurant in Toronto. They don t even pay their employees. I m a former employee and the owner Alex won t even acknowledge the high debt amount. It s not just me but all the employees that started in this restaurant.

Burrito. I got myself a carnitas burrito. It felt like something home cooked and warm. It was tasty with the two different hot sauces they serve at the table.

Waited 15 minutes before anyone took the order, unclean table with oil all over it. Food was prepared and brought to the table within 10 mins which was great. The taste was underwhelming and was extremely expensive. Spend like $40 for one dish for one person. Totally NOT worth it. Staff was friendly but menu is boring and expensive.

I ordered chicken burritos and they were delicious and flavorful with the green sauce. The tortilla was well cooked and crispy as well as the chicken was very juicy and flavorful. I just found out the restaurant had new opened up the same week my friend and I went in. This is bar far the most fresh and flavorful chicken burritos I have had here compared to other Mexican restaurants in Toronto. Please keep up with the same quality of food and chef we mostly see tend to see the quality diminish over time with popularity and hype of restaurants in Toronto. I enjoyed every bite and will definitely come back!
This spot just opened at the bottom of my street and it s going to become a staple! Really nice carnitas tacos and chicken chilaquiles - generous portions too. The birria wasn t ready when I went (it was not long after opening) but I ll be back for that! The gentleman who helped me was also so friendly - worth supporting just for that :)

I ordered pickup from here and was excited to try it. When I showed up, they were definitely closed with lights off and doors locked. They should have been open for 45 minutes by then. I tried calling them and no answer. It doesn t look good.

Line for pizza was too long so I popped next door, and I m incredibly glad I did. These were some of the best tacos I ve ever had in my life. Super authentic, fresh and delicious food. What an amazing new spot on Queen West! We went there for dinner on a Sunday night and everything from the food to the staff was wonderful. The quesabirria is so tasty, and the prices are reasonable. We loved everything so much that we called to place an order to go a week after! Well definitely go back!
