came back here again for brunch and had the roasted garlic salmon benne #superyummy came here for brunch to celebrate my sisters birthday and had the eggs Florentine: quite tasty. also had a sampling of my sisters Grand Marnier infused French toast topped with homemade caramelized peaches and that was also quite yummy. this is a 5-star dining experience and I highly recommend it Vegetarian options: plenty of veg options here

We have been here many times, mostly for brunch on the weekends but also love to come here for dinner. The menu is truly European inspired and delivers such taste. Expect consistency and quality coming here. One of the many hidden gems of Cliffcrest. Try the seafood pasta, or the VIPEI Big Breakfast and you will not be disappointed!!!

Literally the best breakfast i ve had in a long time! I think it was the special french toast - it was cheese stuffed with fresh strawberries. Delicious, everything was so good it s my new go to

First time here since they reopened under new management and are looking forward to our next visit soon. The food is outstanding -- all four of us agreed one of the best caesar salads we have ever had. The entrees were all amazing too and the presentation beautiful. The service is excellent and the atmosphere very enjoyable. They currently have a wine and dine special which includes a glass of wine, an appetizer and an entree for $45 -- a terrific value, especially for the quality of the food. Well worth a visit for dinner.

So happy that this restaurant is under original management again. It is now back to being one of our go to bistros. Tonights meals surpassed expectations and the service was top notch. Cant wait to come again. Vegetarian options: Indian King us a yummy curry veggie pasta. Options to add chicken or shrimp if desired.

Had a delightful dinner. Delicious food and generous sized portions which were very reasonably priced. The curried seafood with rice was fantastic and would order it again. We highly recommend this place!

Had a wonderful family celebration at Vi Pei. Janice made the planning so effortless by working with me to set the menu, answering all my questions, and in having everything set up for us. The food was delicious and varied. Everyone was very attentive to our needs and we lacked for nothing. We can t say thank you enough to everyone at Vi Pei for making our day so great. Much appreciation to Janice for all her help! Vegetarian options: Lots of vegetarian options to choose from. Dietary restrictions: Staff was very accommodating of dietary restrictions preparing a meal for one of our members with very specific needs.

I was excited to try Vi pies agian after it went terribly down hill. I arrived at 4:30 pm to get the all day breakfast. After ordering we were told they could not make eggs benidict. Why advertise what you cant deliver. Hate being lied to ! We left and went somewhere else. Bad form new management !! This is partly why the failed the first time.

Stopped in for brunch. Server was Marcela and service was excellent. I had the Santa Fe Omelet, (sautéed mushrooms, onions, julienned peppers) & spicy tomato concasse. Served with home fries & salad with a side of peameal bacon. EXCELLENT! The bacon in particular was outstanding. Highly recommend dropping in. I know Ill be back!

This is my 2nd time here and both times I was surprised it was not busy. I must say everything I ordered was excellent! My choice of the Penne Vegetarian was excellent as well as my guest whom had the Caesar Cajun shrimp salad was equally pleased. But the real deal and enjoyable finale to our dinner was the (take out only) ANY PIZZA for $13! I mean ANY pizza!! Thats incredible and my choice of Signature Veggie was absolutely delicious! Well be going back for more meals from now on! Vegetarian options: Im not sure why our dinner choices are not on their recommended dish selection but it should be. Either way we were very pleased with our meal and service!

Dont sleep on this spot! Tucked away in an unassuming plaza, we found out today that the food here is REALLY really GOOD. We had the mascarpone stuffed French toast and smoked duck benny. Mmmmm AMAZING. Service also speedy and friendly, thanks VP!

As most of the reviewers have already said - the food here is excellent, plentiful and the service is quick and attentive! We enjoyed breakfast from the Brunch Menu which has many offerings (so many Bennies!), is all housemade with care - salads are crisp and even the salad dressing is scratch- delicious fresh mango dressing! Come with an appetite, portions are generous.

We were lucky to find this place last Saturday night. The food was fantastic, sausage pasta and rack of lamb. The service was quick and we could talk as there was no loud music or people shouting around us. We really enjoyed our meal. The only drawback to this place is the location. Its not in a very good area...

Service was so fast, food was top of the line amazing! Best Ive had in a long time!!! Very quiet atmosphere and the booth we had was private and cozy. Perfect place for an intimate gathering. And just to add.. the prices are remarkable! 27$ for a beautiful lobster shrimp and jumbo scallop pasta in a beautiful vodka sauce. Every bite was delicious. Not a single negative comment to be made *********** 10 star rating and must give em a try!

Went back to ViPei for breakfast recently and was very happy with both the service and the food. We had the Big Breakfast which include a delicious pancake and my scrambled eggs were still hot when I finished the pancake which is not always the case at breakfast places! A big plus for me, the pancake was served with REAL maple syrup without charging extra. Prices are reasonble and portion generous

4 of us had the seafood delight and it was appsolutely delicious. Best we have ever had! The bread servings were impressive. We would highly recommend this restaurant and even though we are from Barrie, we will definitely be back and will spread the word.

We had the pleasure of dining at ViPei today for a late lunch. All of our dishes had great presentation and looked delicious. Even more importantly, they all tasted absolutely delicious ..everything from wild blueberry pancakes with sausage & bacon, a Thai-inspired salad with chicken & shrimp, spaghetti & meatballs and, last, but not least, my favourite, vodka seafood fettuccine! The service was also excellent. Visit ViPei .you won t be disappointed.

Came here for brunch recently and it was amazing. Cant vouch for their dinner menu but this is an excellent place for breakfast. Great service. The place is a little small so might be cramped if you were coming with a large party but otherwise this is the perfect brunch spot. I also appreciate that they dont have a bunch of screens with cp24 playing all the time like so many places do. Highly recommended.

I was craving for pasta and searched on google for a local place nearby and found this local gem. The reviews were on point, the food was absolutely good!! We had calamari for appetizer and pasta for mains. All our orders came in a timely manner & everything tasted really good. Janice from Ottawa Valley was delightful. We can t wait to go back for brunch next time. Please support the local restaurant as we have been told it just recently reopened under new management.

Well i gave the Vei Pei a spectacular review last week I have been a regular customer today that all changes. Went in to dine plenty of tables available ordered their burgers and was told we would not be allowed to dine in if thats what we were ordering. Good food is useless with bad service. Today the owner lost a regular customer. As much as I liked their food the treatment recieved today has left a very sour taste in my and my friends mouths. Absolute worst customer service experience ever. I highly recommend dining anywhere else.

Had brunch here 2 weeks ago and the omelette was delicious. The side fruit and home fries are always fresh and delicious! Staff are friendly. Definitely the best brunch in Scarborough! Eggs Benedicts are the best in the city! Vegetarian options: Lots of great vegetarian options!!

I work all over the GTA and our employer has a 20.00 plus tax and tip for our meals. We have eaten in both chain and independent restaurants for the past 4 years and This is by far and away the best food for the best price bar none, even at twice the price ( please don t double your prices!) it would be a tremendous value. Something that is sorely lacking these days

ViPei is open again! Absolutely fabulous special brunch menu with unique items, for example crab benne, butternut squash omelet... The food was delicious and the service was excellent.

Under new Management. On July 1st had seafood delight. Excellent, the scallops were cooked perfectly. The cheesecake had been made that morning. Everyone at the table enjoyed their meal and will be returning.

This restaurant is a perfect example of poor management, currently they are under renovation so their kitchen is closed, and they are accepting skip orders, drivers have to kill their time to come here in busy hour and wait for skip team to cancel order, worst management

We loved going to ViPei. However, in the last year, it seems to have gone downhill. Portions are smaller and food isnt as good quality it was before.

A delightful lunch with friends today. Service and atmosphere was great! A cosy setting tucked right on Kingston Road in Cliffcrest. We each had different dish choices from the menu and thoroughly enjoyed our meals. Many thanks to Abby, our waiter. She could not have been more welcoming to first-timers and was most attentive to our needs.

ViPei is so amazing! Their menu is filled with unique delicious options! The wait staff and chefs are amazing and very attentive! We had the seafruit fusilli and seafood delight and they are perfection! We have been coming to this location for years and has remained consistent!

Came here for my birthday lunch back in November..Our go to place for quick brunch or lunch/dnner that s close to our place. My fav are the seafood pasta, french toasts and calamari. The service is a hit and miss depending on who s the server.

As a positive, the food was great! It came quickly and tasted nice. I recommend the smoked salmon and goat cheese salad. Also, their tea came in the cutest little glasses shaped like lightbulbs! However, there was no music playing at all so I was constantly aware of my voice when chatting with my friend. I felt like there was nothing to muffle conversations between tables, except pots clanging in the kitchens. It doesnt have as much of an atmosphere, but thats not a big issue. Another positive, nice individual bathrooms (stylish too) and easy to locate. Also, an open parking lot since it is in a little plaza. I had a nice time overall and will definitely return.

Burger with fries was pretty good. The crab cakes benny was ok as the crab cakes were very dry. Clean and not too bright dining room. Service was ok.

Great neighborhood restaurant near Scarborough Bluffs. My first time so I stuckwith basic breakfast - 3 eggs, bacon, sausage, home fries, toast and a little fruit and veggie with all you want coffee. All good, taste met and exceeded expectations. Note they have some interesting and tempting variations on the traditional breakfast i.e. grand marnier infused french toast- which I have made a note to try next time (and there will be a next time).

Recently discovered this cozy brunch spot by chance while driving by and decided to stop in. While we did have to wait a bit after placing the order, but the delicious food and friendly staff more than made up for it.

Ordered through door dash. We had the wild mushroom chicken, Vegetable lasagna and bruchetta. Chicken dish was nice and the sauce was amazing but they dont give alot and no option to request more. Veggie lasagna was lacked with veggies and topped with cheese but had hardly any sauce on it.bruchetta was tasty but expect a thin base that got soggy in delivery container because wet lettuce was at the bottom. Overall the food is very good but needs a more sauce option.

I have had breakfast here several times and it has always been a delicious treat. Moist brioche French toast with peach-pecan caramel topping is my favorite. Breakfast is anything but average. Cost is $14-16. Seating works best for groups of four but of couse you can go with a larger group.

Good food we ll priced and large variety of options. The past 3 times I went the servers were not friendly at all - almost like they are annoyed when you walk in. Just kills the mood.

I found it too dark, the portions were huge, my pancake was half raw but had good flavor of the portions I ate. The rest of the breakfast was stellar.

New owners really messed this place up. Every single dish you order one way or another is gross and the chef doesn t wear a hair net and has hairy arms by the food.

I ordered the Thai chicken & shrimp salad, which was swimming in dressing. I was sopping up the dressing with my napkin, and instead of offering another salad, the waitress brought over a stack of napkins. Very disappointed.

The staff was extremely rude. We arrived only to be told (with out any apologetic tone) that there was a long wait and we were basically turned away. There is one server that served us on our last visit, I do not know her name, she was a kind and caring server who has the customer service principles and attitude to support ViPei s high price points. This older women was miserable the last time and even more so on this particular visit. She definitely needs additional training on how to treat customers! The food that we ordered for the most part was ok, but my omelette that was not good. It was very wet and soggy. Thankfully, that same kind server replaced it and handled things correctly. The place is very small and does not accommodate very many people, with this in mind, one would think that the staff would be prepared to handle overflow with more poise and professionalism. Very disappointing! Side note: there is limited parking, limited eating space, not wheelchair accessible, and nowhere to be seated when there is a busy overflow.

Ordered salmon and pasta, mushroom fettuccine with chicken breast. The portions were nice and large, lots of veggies, great sauce and salmon was cooked nicely. My order was through Uber eat but I have eaten at restaurant and it wad just as consistently good. Would order again.

Took my sister-in-law there for a birthday brunch since she lives in the area. The menu is intrigiing in the wide variety of selection but we were there for her favourite....eggs benedict. Two eggs perfectly poached on a litely toasted englih muffin with pealmeal bacon and sumptous hollandaise sauce...doesnt get any better. But need to come back to try some of the other more luncheon type selecetions...looking forward to it

I have been going here for years. we sat down. My husband ordered a coffee like he always does before he has his meal and I had a water it took 20 minutes for us to get the coffee and the water. When she brought my water. The cup was dirty with little Floaties floating around on top, so I did not bother to drink it. When we received our dinner, chicken, Parmesan was cold and no flavor. We asked for some bread and she gave us a basket of stale bread. It was an overall bad experience. Usually we go in and we have a fantastic waitress.Waitress did not know what she was doing. The waitress can make or break your night. Also, there were only two other tables occupied at this time. Very disappointed. I ve been going for 15 years.

Awful place don t understand the positive reviews. I ve got green mold on bread, not a single scallop in their sea fruit delight, etc. Given them so many chances over the years because they are in the area. It s not authentic Italian food, is unpredictable and overpriced, dark outdated interiors. Just awful.

Ok so maybe it s because I ordered at night time but I got the crab tail, it was two measly cold and I mean cold pieces of crab which ok whatever it s 9pm and I m getting crab. The real kicker is the cheesecake was FROZEN clearly store bought as I also found some of the paper that separates the pieces in the cheesecake. I m really sad cause I can buy cheesecake from no frills too why on earth would anyone pay for that. In the pic with the fork I am pushing down on it won t even go though, shame.

Ok ya all, what is up with this place. my wife and I decided to try this Bistro. OMG....OF THE CHARTS Disgusting!! We ordered Crab Cakes. We got two cold cakes that were 90% bread crumb filler. Good value for $18.00 LOL. Next we ordered the Grilled Calamari. It also came cold and we couldnt eat it because it was tough. We ordered the warm spinach salad. It also came cold with a bunch of spinach leaves dumped in a bowl with a bottle of vinaigrette dumped over it. Enough! My wife ate the salad because she was very hungry and we both could not eat the Calamari and I certainly passed on the salad. My wife ordered Vodka Cranberry. NO Cranberry. So she ordered Gin and seven. No GIn! If you check you will see that it is very very seldom that I post a Google review but this time I had too. STAY AWAY!!

Went for breakfast with my parents today. Friends have raved about this place, finally had an opportunity to check it out. So good! Potato pancake, crab cake, eggs Bennie, fresh fruit salad, and salad! Price is a higher than a diner, but it isn t a diner, so it s to be expected. So good! Also, half decent coffee :)

(I wish I got the hostesses name because she was great). We were greeted at the door and was able to choose where we sat. Our order was taken very promptly and the food arrived in no time! Very fresh! Small restaurant with a very cozy setting. I ordered Eggs Nova (salmon Benedict) and my mom ordered the brunch combo platter. Most reasonably priced breakfast I ve had in a LONG time and a great Bennnnny! I finished everything and it was so much foood! My mom and I will be back very soon. Thank you again. :)

This place used to be nice. Tables were set and a cozy atmosphere. Went last week and if there werent the 3 ladies paying their bill and the server talking to them I would have thought it was closed. We didnt stay, not just for this reason but because the server who had one table decided to continue her conversation and completely ignore us. We have both worked in the service Industry and we both know she had lots of opportunity to acknowledge us, but didnt. Its a shame but it seems like no one is managing this once great spot.

Disappointing breakfast. Eggs Benedict. Bread not toasted, hollandaise was chunky and fishy tasting, peameal bacon had fat filled chewy parts throughout. Overall definitely not worth the money. Vivetha is way better.

Ive eaten here before and loved the food and found the quality very good. I decided to try Door Dash the other day and unfortunately, the food that was delivered was subpar and not up to their usual in house dining standard. I ordered a a BBQ Thai Chicken and Shrimp Salad and a slice of Bourbon Chocolate Cheesecake. The salad is described online as; mixed greens, tomatoes & julienne vegetables. Mine came with no veggies just mixed greens and sliced onions and about 1/4 of the greens were bad - felt like they were past the shelf life. I got about 3 - 4 cherry tomatoes and two were bad. The rest of the greens were a lot of the stalk. The shrimp was good but the chicken tasted old and dry. It felt like I got the stale leftovers. The cake was no better as it was very stale and actually crumbled. I ended up throwing most of it out. They need better quality control for their delivered meals.

Great pizzas. Had the caprese with bacon and butter chicken pizza.. Breakfast and pastas are also really good

We had breakfast here this morning. Exceeded all expectations- the dishes were fresh, vibrant and perfectly prepared. This will definitely be one of my go to places. Thank you for a great experience.

Absolutely amazing! The presentation, the quantity , the quality. Ordered the three course dinner(Home delivery) - 10oz Angus Steak, Fried Calamari with Chipotle Aoli and Bourbon Cheesecake. The steak was perfectly cooked to a medium rare, even the vegetables were delicious! Never have I actually wanted to eat my vegetables The calamari was firm and crisp as they should be. The cheesecake a delightful end to this perfect meal.

I was impressed by the level of quality and presentation, considering neighborhood restos offer greasy spoon familiarity at best. ViPei has a varied menu with delicious sauces. Try the pesto dish!

Awesome salads! 5 on 5. Its a must try. Restaurant manager, could you pretty please please look into changing your packaging from plastic to more environment friendlier packaging?

Just ordered through delivery. Generous portions, great presentation and great price! I ordered the steak and the chicken parm. Both are delicious! Will take pics the next time because there definitely will be a next time. Highly recommend this restaurant!

The food and service here is wonderful. Have been going for years and so happy to see them still around. The Grand Marnier Infused French toast is fabulous as well as the pastas.
