3000 Danforth Ave Unit #4, Toronto, ON M4C 1M7, Canada
Woondall Restaurant making Authentic Bangladeshi Traditional Food. We serve our food to the customers as like there own home made food.
If you’re craving authentic, flavorful biryani, Kachi Biryani is a must-try. Known for its rich and aromatic rice dishes, this restaurant delivers on both quality and taste.
I was initially unsure if this Bengali restaurant could maintain the same quality I enjoyed during my previous visits. However, I’m glad to say they did not disappoint like others have. The restaurant continues to deliver exceptional Bengali foods. The hardworking staff deserve recognition for their efforts. As a regular customer, with this being my go-to Bengali restaurant on Danforth,I hope they continue to uphold their quality and further improve their service.😊
This was a surprise find for us on Danforth. Right opposite the plaza where you get ample parking space, this restaurant is a very highly recommended place for Bangladeshi food. Danforth is not exactly a very clean place, hence be careful while walking. The food was very reasonable and the behaviour of the owner and staff were very nice and cordial. We had ordered haleem with garlic naan and beef Tehri and the quantity was more than sufficient for two adults. The only downside of this restaurant is that the access is through stairs and it's not wheelchair/stroller friendly at all. Keep up the good work guys!
Incredibly delicious and outstanding service! If you’re debating going here, stop reading and go immediately! Stumbled upon this little restaurant late at night, and was delighted with the outstandingly flavourful Fuchka, best Chicken Tikka ever, and delicious Chicken Chap. The naan that comes with the chicken dishes was fresh, crisp and buttery! The service was exceptional with the owner greeting guests, and serving them, as well as the staff taking obvious pride in the meals that they serve there and rightfully so!
The best Dhaka cuisine u have tried till date in Toronto. The beef Tehari is a hit I must say. I dint like the chicken kadai so much and got smell of turmeric in it. Also their naan and tea is superhit. The only issue I faced was small area and I wish the restaurant grows one day to a bigger area. But food wise I was very happy with the quality and service. Must visit for Bangladeshi cuisine.
They have some really good food. I tried their tandoori as per their suggestion and it was really good. Their tea is my recent favourite one. The lady who works in the front is always smiling and gave us a really good service.
Newly opened restaurant in the heart of Bangla Town. Went there with a few friends to try some snacks. Received a warm and friendly greeting from the owner. Tried their fuchka, moglai parata and chicken chaap. Was instantly taken away by the smell and taste of the food. The quality was unquestionably good and the taste was mouthwatering. Reminds me of local bangladeshi taste. Went back the same night with family and tried their walima roast and chicken chaap. All the dishes were presented very nicely and the taste was hands down amazing. The portions were more than enough for one person. Not to mention the prices are great. They are definitely doing it right. Hope they keep up the amazing service and food. Will definitely recommend everyone to try them out.
Its a new Bangladeshi restaurant. We ordered fuchka, halim which came with a naan and 1 beef tehari. Fuchka was average on taste, but halim was good much better than few other Bangladeshi restaurant. Tehari was also good in taste. All stuffs were helpful and well mannered. Overall a good experience. They recommended their chicken chaap is good-will try next time.
One of the best bengali cuisine restraunt in toronto. I admire how Tonni apu, Tania Au, Tanvir Bhaiya welcome us everyday. My friend groups always hangout there, and that give us the feeling of actual Bangladeshs Adda (Banagalir adda). Tha nks and big shoutout to Team Woondall.
This place is a hidden gem! The atmosphere is cozy, the food is delicious, and the staff is incredibly attentive. I cant wait to return Parking: You can park easily backside building.
Fahim is not a good server you guys should kick out him...taniya is best
Really good quality food, worth the price!
I have been here for five times, the food here is much better, the service is even better
Good service awesome food nice Environment Highly recommended
The best Bangladeshi food in Toronto. I understand its a big statement given how small the place is compared to many other places but the taste of food is amazing. I also find the price to be reasonable.
I was really disappointed with my recent takeout experience. The customer service was lackluster, she told me only 7 miniutes to ready my order but it took 30 miniutes to receive my order. Additionally, the packaging was poor , when she was packing my food she was talking with someone and as a result my food arrived messily and wasn t properly secured, which led to spills. I understand things can get busy, but when youre offering takeout, quality and efficiency should be top priorities. I hope the restaurant addresses these issues to improve the overall experience for customers.
Forcefully have to give 1 star. Flop and waste cooking Food
Wonderful service food is great specially lady front service is fabulous
The beef was very good and the naan and their service was very good.
Very good
Excellent Bangladeshi and Indian food very good customer service
Woondalls customer service is one of the best service have ever received, their food is very delicious with very low price, and environment is very relaxing, me and my friends were visiting from US , We are very impressed by there service, And the chefs food was very delicious, and the young lady who was serving the food was very professional, nice and polite, if you go there ypu should try there muglai, tea though we tried there dinner & Breakfast too, 100
Their food is so good and delicious . Tania Apu gave us a very good service... And also Sadik vai served super delicious Fuchka... 10/10 Food : 5/5 |
we had fuchka and mutton biriyani .Both are so Delicious .quantity ,, quality service best
Best Bengali food. I tried the Fuchka and Muglhai and the food was very delicious and tasty. I would recommend everyone to try their food.
Food was so good and fresh service also very good
No time sensitivity.
We got chicken chaap and shatkora beef. Very delicious!
I have tried their chotpoti and muglai. They were probably the worst food I have put in my mouth. Moreover, their washroom was very dirty, and the service was very slow. I ordered 5 fuchkas only to find out after 30 minutes that they could only serve 2. Overall, I would have given them negative stars if possible. This review is meant for them to improve, not to try to put them out of business or anything. Thanks!
Their behave is awesome and food is also soo delicious love their service
their restaurant is the best one in danforth to me i believe i did visit to others but didn t got good service but their service is best
They did best service thank you so much love to visit again
The restaurant is one of the best restaurant in danforth I believe. Their service is awesome with smiling in their face and the main thing is behavior.also their food is so delicious.i suggest if you can visit them once you will love to visit again and again
I ordered their fuchka. It was so spicy and not crispy at all. They just used the ready to fry packets of pani puri. The taste was so bad that we couldn t even finish two pieces
Best experience
SO GROSS. HUGE black hair in my butter chicken. The butter chicken was bone-in chicken and barely had any meat on it anyway. Had to toss the whole thing out. $15 in the trash.
Their very respectful, very nice service, food is the BEST. And the restaurant designs and everything so beautiful and atheistic 10/10 recommended
Pricey man, quantity is less. Need better taste please
Nice reasturent in this area
their services are too much slow .i have to wait 30 min for my food .
Authentic Bangladeshi food
This is a Bangladeshi restaurant. You can found lots of Bangladeshi dishes.
Vegetarian options: Must try mix vegetables and vegetables Samosas Food
The ilish pulao was
Very authentic Bangali food Great service level. Food : 5/5
Very nice restaurant in Banglatown. Recommended dish Mughlai paratha, chicken roll and Tehari
Food is really good specially the Fuchka reminds of the ones in Bangladesh the service is really good too, will surely recommend
Most disgusting Fusska and Chotpoti I ve ever had Quality and and quantity was so disappointing. Not even deserved 1 star.
Tehari was great. We liked tea as well. Chana daal was mushy. Staff are nice. Compared to other Bangladeshi restaurants the inferior decor of this place is quiet ordinary.
These people are super disrespectful, arrogant and unprofessional. I have had an awful experience ever !!
this restaurant is so worth to try, and their food is so good!!! this restaurant is really underestimated
The best Bangladeshi food in the neighborhood. Amazing service and great portions for the price. Mango Lassi is to die for!
Amazing service , fuchka and Kala bhuna are the best
Tonni was exceptional! She had great customer service skill and took the time to answer my questions about my order. It s hard to find people like Tonni at a Bangladeshi restaurant. Wondall is lucky to have her and she deserves a big raise.
Best tea ever!! Khichuri and beef >>>> They have great customer service which is why I keep on going there. Very welcoming and food is great.
Parking: a huge free mall parking on the south side of danforth ave. Food
Food not bad but they need to serve asap.
Awesome place for real Desi food, and the prices are pretty reasonable for the portions you get.
Excellent service
I went to this restaurant more than 3 times. Every time I had a good experience. Today I went for a tea only, it was good as well. I would like to go again whenever I go to the Danforth area.
Amazing place, food, and service.
First time in Woondall and YOU have to go! It s the cutest little spot with amazing food. The Beef tehari is to die for. IT WAS FIRE!!The service we received was so amazing and we will definitely be back again.
Food was delicious .
Parking: best in bangali para Food
Arranged a small party on 18th of may, Their food quality was amazing and service was top notch. Highly recommended for everyone
Best food and hospitality you will ever get.
Amazing food. Best food in danforth area.
Pure Sylhety vibes.. Best restaurant for adda n get together.. Small event party.. Highly recommended
amazing restaurant and best halal party centre of the town, price is very reasonable and good food quality.Their management is very helpful and friendly so highly recommended all together
best chicken biryani
Without any doubt they serve best chicken Biryani in this town.
Best bangali food in town
Amazing place, it s a hidden gem hands down better than adda or premium sweets
It was always in our mind when we visit Bangladesh and Sylhet that why don t we have some Restaurants like Paansi or Panch Bhai in Toronto. I have tried Chicken Biriani, chicken chap, Tandoori chicken with Naan in Woondall , undoubtedly those are even better than Paansi or Panch Bhai!! Certainly what we are waiting for so long. The tenderness of chicken is just wow .. And service is very professional because those owners has Toronto s all well known restaurants experience. Bravo boys and all the bet. Kid-friendliness: Kids feel just like home
I don t wanna say anything about this restaurant just look at the waiting lineup in the video and get in the restaurant.
Best Bangladeshi food you ever Check this out Best in city Food : 5/5
Good food , Nice ambiance with excellent service recommended for authentic Bengali cuisine!!
Tea Fuchka Chicken chap
Great ambience and amazing authentic bengali food! We ordered the chicken wonton as appetizer, murog pulao, chicken jhal fry and chicken biriyani as main and everything was delicious Also, the entire staff is very personable and price is reasonable; Id highly recommend everyone to visit at least once.
Overall good food and staffs behaviour was nice.
We really like the atmosphere of the restaurant and the food was really good.
Food quality was great especially their tea and Haleem. Best thing was their hospitality.
You can t believe the taste if you don t try it! Foods are delicious and amazing friendly service.
Giving 4 stars because they need to increase khuchuri with kala vuna quantity. Khichuri portion was small & had 4 beef pieces thats pretty much for $16.99 dish
best best best
Magnificent.. Ekdom mayer hater ranna
Amazing restaurant with super friendly owners who are always welcoming and friendly. If you want to have authentic Bangladeshi taste yhen this is your go to place . Even if you re one rare person who would get something wrong, if you address to the owners then they ll do their best to resolve the issue. Parking: To conveniently park, we parked in metro parking lot across the street!
Really disappointing. Tried Chicken Chap, Kachi and Roast. Very dry and no taste at all. Compare to the price not worth it.
It s very delicious food
Food quality delicious and service are fantastic. Great environment and staff are very friendly.
Excellent food
I have been visiting here since opening day. Everything was good until tonight. I visited with my gf around 1:40am and we thought woondall would be good but the portion of the food was very small according to the price. Like seriously 4$ for this much alo bhorta , paid like $9.50 all together.Ghoroa restaurant serves three times more then this. You guys should work on this. Very disappointed.
Very less food portions with high price like a fine dining but with no service
Had the butter chicken and beef curry and they were out of this world. The meat was fall off the bone tender and the sauce was just perfect for dipping the garlic naan. Our server was an absolute gem and was kind enough to offer us free rice and a drink. I couldnt recommend this place enough and will definitely be back.
Very nice environment and service. They have good quality of authentic Bengali foods
Very delicious Bangladeshi food and original Bangladeshi test
Such a wonderful place to eat
Nice environment, but price is high. Food is average. I asked for kalovuna, but it was not even close to yhe kalovuna.
Specially recommend Beef Shatkara, Beef Kalabhuna, Beef Tehari, Haleem. Praiseworthy efforts from a group of YOUNG Bangladeshi-Canadian entrepreneurs. Kudos!!!
I am the regular customer of this restrurant from day one ,Best service in bangla retrurant. All are friendly with warm welcoming .Always quick service .Me specially fan of beef tehari .I strongly recommend to get the best service even though its busy all the time .Best wises for them so that way they can open more branch in Toronto .family friendly environment .
Started going to this place recently & loving their food but finally got upset with the service. Today I went there to buy some food & was waiting at the counter for 10 minutes. Although there was a crowd at the restaurant, 3 guys were standing at the counter doing nothing & didn t even look at me let alone talk. To be honest, I appreciate the cordiality of the lady. She is the only person to maintain professionalism but the others are not ever. Never going back.
Starting from the service, food, quality and atmosphere. This restaurant checks all the boxes when it comes to authenticity. Wide range of Bangladeshi dishes to choose from, friendly service, great portion sizes. A cozy spot that every Bangladeshi or anyone wanting to try Bangladeshi food for the first time should definitely try.
Food was great! Service was awesome Highly recommended restaurant Food : 5/5
Instead of charging 13% tax, they were charging significantly more. Felt very shady. Most people won t even notice. Bad first impression.
One of the best Bangladeshi restaurant in Toronto!!! Amazing food...
It was our first time at this restaurant when we saw that they are offering chicken chaap. However, when the food came, it was nowhere close to chicken chaap. If the chef thinks that basically calling chicken Tikka pieces as chicken chaap then they really need to learn whats authentic chicken chaap is. We havent tried other food items yet but we had tea, puri and their tea is nowhere close to what other 3-4 bengali restaurant offering basically water and quantity wise lets say nothing. One restaurant closed down in the same place and woondall opened up and they really need to pick up the pace.
This is my second time never expected that i found a insect in the beef taherii
I think I became their family member cuz I been there so many times actually I always go . Their food quality excellent service outstanding. I will recommend this restaurant to visit you will definitely fall in love with their food n service. This is my most favourite restaurant now . Thanks to everyone who involved with this restaurant . Thanks Tanvir, Arif, Tonni and everyone else
I was there for dinner with 10 people and spent almost $200 without knowing the test of the food. Chicken chaap was smelling really bad, Morog polao was not even close to the test, kala vuna has no flavor, Teheri was cold and test less, It was a horrible experience and really frustrating after having dinner there even onion in the salad was bad too. City should close their place asap for Robbing people
One of the finest Bangladeshi authentic food place to go to.
simply i would like to say food quality and service extremely good.i wish and hope everyone should visit get the experience and best wishes for woondal family.
It s in new Bangla town. You will take stairs to go downstairs for the restaurant, it s not in street level. I loved the part that this restaurant opens late. We went there on Friday night at 2 am. We ordered desi tea and daalpuriand Halim. The food was presented nice. The server was very friendly. He accepted whatever we wanted to order with his smile even though it was almost time to close. I would give all the stars except for one that there was no bathroom tissue in the washroom or paper towel or soap. I hope management will keep an eye. If you want to bring more customers in the restaurant compare to other Bangladeshi restaurants, you must have a clean washroom. It was clean, but other stuffs were missing. It was a happy feeling when we walked inside the restaurant and food smell yummy and a Bangla song playing. I hope this restaurant will stay longer and we will have a regular meet up or hang out place whoever are missing Bangladesh and want to have a taste like home. Best wishes.
Just now headed lunch fish was uncooked kindly hired a experienced chef or cook great service staff and involvement
Food was delicious but was very less in quantity for the price they charged.
Tried most Tandoori items and all were delicious!
I would say one of the best restaurants in this area food is absolutely good no doubt service everything wonderful
The service was great along with the atmosphere. The food is tasty but the portions are very small and quite pricey for the amount you are getting.
The khichuri is my most favorite but the amount I got for 18 dollars is ridiculous. It didnt make me full. Twice of that portion would make me full but that would be 36 dollars. The amount of food I got for 18 dollars is the smallest ever Ive got in Toronto. Not recommended.
Very Delicious Food Highly Recommend specially Chicken Tikka must try Food
Good service and mouth watering food.
Tanvir, Kanon, and Arif are the best owners that every restaurant needs. If you are looking for the most amazing Bengali dishes, go to Woondaall.
Good food great service..
Exceptional experience at Woondall restaurant Impeccable service, respectful treatment, and the food was an absolute delight each dish bursting with delicious flavors. A must-visit for anyone craving an authentic and delightful Bengali culinary journey.
Best food and top notch management
Best Bangladeshi chai in the city. Amazing customer service and food tastes great. Would highly recommend.
Best in town, better than other Bengali restaurants on danforth. Quality & quantity both of em are on good level
The best Bengali food served in Toronto! The management and the staff are the nicest people I ve met in Canada! The food, atmosphere and the people give off the homely vibe we all crave! Food
Amazing experience! We had a birthday party for a baby, the staff went above and beyond in service to make it special. The food was so delicious. We got a lot of items - tehari, chicken chaps, tandoori chicken, naan, mutton, beef, everything was fantastic. It was more than enough food for all of us (party of 10). They offered complimentary cake and samosas which was nice. Overall great experience would definitely come back!
This restaurant scams people. Last time when we went, we tried tehari which had 13 solid bones, and ordered halim today, which is $11.99..but the halim comes with only 2pcs of meat (no solid meat, mixed with bone). Vai deshi manush jon re aivabe thokay ki laav! Koydin korben aivabe business?
The way they treat there customer is something out of the box. Food is for sure one of the best in Toronto but there services is the best amongst all.
Server not friendly
Visited here from Michigan. Excellent food and excellent customer service
Tried their chicken tandoori and duck bhuna which was really good. Service is excellent.
Cha, chicken kabab excellent.
Great food and superb service I wish the place was a bit spacious. Still, they tried to make it cozy and nice within the limitations. Food
Best Tea in BanglaTown..Also liked Bihari Kabab as well
