Was pleasantly surprised by the food here. The burrito bowl was great, all the sauces and salsas tasted amazing! One of the better burrito spots in the GTA, wish their were more locations. The chicken here is also halal! Check it out.
My friend and I ate here last night. It was pouring rain, and everything else about the day was terrible, but the staff and food here made it all better. As an Asian, I rarely eat Mexican food and wouldn’t have tried this place if my friend hadn’t recommended it. But the food was amazing! The rice was perfectly cooked, and I loved adding corn and black beans as the base – so fitting for my eating habits and nutritious too. The Mexican chips were crunchy and not oily at all, unlike the usual unhealthy ones. We also got a small bag of churros, which were freshly made and reminded me of the ones in Madrid and also 油炸鬼/油條 from South China. Even though it’s a fast food place, it’s really good and worth every penny. The only downside was that we couldn’t get the tortilla soup my friend highly recommended, and that was why I wanted to go there in the first place. And it was only around 8 p.m.

Loved ZTeca, I used to eat at the one downtown after work and I liked how their portions were much more than Chipotle so I always go to Zteca. I ordered delivery today and their so called “fully loaded chicken bowl” has barely any chicken, and the cuts? Might as well serve ground chicken for your bowls then. Please do better.
Extremely overpriced for what it is. The worker does the opposite of what I ask for (ex I asked for sour cream on the side, they put it into the bowl). I’ll let the picture speak for myself. I should’ve known better when there was not a single customer inside the store..
The 1st time I was at this place, I was ordering in person for the take out, and it was amazing, I fell in love with this place, veggie crumble burrito was on point! So I was trying to come back again, though I live in further away. And today (Saturday, April 10th, 2024) after long day of work on my way home, I pre ordered 3 burritos over the phone, 30 min before the closing. When I tried it in the car, it was barely warm, not proportionate at all (the first 1/3rd of burrito was pure rice , then it was pure veggie crumble) and I just stopped eating it. Same thing was in other burritos. I understand that it was half an hour before the closing, but I believe the quality of the food should not suffer that drastically, as I’ve paid $46 for 3 of those inedible burritos. It is really unfortunate, that this location just became my favourite burrito place, and on the 2nd visit it became the worst. One extra star is for those amazing girls who were making my first burrito! Update: My partner tried to finish them, and one burrito was pure rice! I will attach photos with it. The second was mostly rice. Plus, I ordered 2 burritos with extra guac for $2.50 each, and there was none!
As a big fan of Mexican food, I found the tortilla soup here to be excellent. The texture and the moderate level of spiciness, along with the traditional chips and coriander, really put the cherry on top. Today, Toronto was hit by heavy snow and it was quite cold, but this mildly spicy soup helped warm me up. I’ll definitely go for the soup again next time and opt for the large size. I also tried their burrito, which is above average for the city. I had a great dinner!

I have had Azteca several times before and the food was delicious. I went last night to this location and I was really disappointed. The rice was tasteless. My grandkid refused to eat the meat and my son in law felt his stomach a bit upset. I am not visiting again this location.

Great welcoming from the staff! I ve never been disappointed with the chicken bowl. I highly recommend their Churros, so delicious and crispy! Kid-friendliness: Quiet and enough room in the restaurant to have a good time with your family
They are very nice and very fast with taking the order and having it ready. I do not like spicy food but I love esquite, I would like for an option for that but I guess that s corporate not them but they deserve 10/10
The tortilla soup, which is vegan, is very tasty. There is a vegetarian fajita veggie filling option as well as a vegan soy meat option. Price-wise, it was very reasonable as well, and the location is great. Vegetarian options: Two veggie fillings, with one being soy meat

Great food. I had a bowl. It was delicious. I chose lettuce, rice, beans, corn, beef, chicken, cilantro, lettuce, lime. It was very very good. I really recommend it Kid-friendliness: They were very nice to my daughter!
I loved the food. I just wish the quantity of steak would have been more for that price. Anyway I enjoyed the place and the ambience. I look forward to trying the other items on the menu. Will definitely visit this restaurant again!

It s as if they are rationing; they give tiny scoops of each condiment. Burritos are composed of mostly the wrap as there is nothing inside, small pinches of protein provided even upon request for more for the same price you can expect double the value at chipotle.
I just visited and had a great experience. The food was delicious and served quickly. Special thanks to girl for her friendly and efficient service. Highly recommend!

We got burritos, , side salsa, chips, guacamole and drinks. WOW!!! We are impressed! The service was great, super friendly and the food is fantastic! We especially loved the grilled pineapple salsa!!

Love the food here! Its the closest to real Mexican I have tried. Service is really fast, the employees are always suggesting new things to try. My favorite; chorizo bowl with guac! Always clean and fresh. Better thany others I had before. 100% recommended

Truly the worst of the worst. Their chicken bowls are horrendous. Their guac is from the tube. Meat tastes like hotdogs. Your bowl will be 98% rice. I used to love this place. Had it twice a month. Its gone down hill since opening - inflation I guess? Please - walk 5 minutes to the chipotle up the street. Please.

Best burritos and burrito bowls around, the beef barbacoa especially is delicious and I love the way they cook their rice, its packed with flavour where some other burrito chains have rice thats comparatively quite plain. Veggie burrito comes with guacamole included, which is a nice touch, and the breakfasts are also really good. Staff is always friendly and accommodating.
The food and vegetables are fresh. The service and people are friendly. The place is clean and well located. The prices are fair and the quality of the food is excellent.

Quality of the food is amazing BUT the portion of chicken in the chicken bowl is absolutely disrespectful, a rat could more meat than this in one serving. I am a big time food explorer so decided to visit this place after checking remarkable google reviews. I must say they met my expectations really well. The food looked fresh, delicious to taste and appealing to the eyes. Worth mentioning the restaurant is super clean, hygienic and very well maintained (specially washroom which usually is in miserable condition in most of the fast food places). I was served by the restaurant manager itself and I really appreciate she took time to explain to the curious me. I was awestruck that the great customer service still exists. She explained it really well how they produce food in house. The way they use freshest ingredients to produce their salsas and sauces literally forced me to try some menu items when I was already full. Their in house preparation of guacamole with fresh avocados and their chipotle crema were great hit. She went beyond by choosing just onions from veggies when I casually told her I don t like peppers, also took an extra effort to replace cilantro rice with the simple rice as I don t like cilantro too. The kind of customer service they offer is impeccable, so friendly and helpful. Restaurant Manager seemed so passionate, helpful and knowledgeable about food and service. Kudos to the owner and team, would definitely recommend this place and visit again soon. Once again thank you so much for the wonderful experience which made my day !

The food is simply not very good. Maybe just my palate, but I find that it just tastes bad, and has an uncomfortable texture. Nice enough staff, couldnt understand me very well but no reason to dock points. Really just put me in the mood to make the food myself at home.
