My girlfriend and I dropped in to get food before a show. Masood was very friendly and helped us through the menu. Service was quick and the portions were large. I d definitely recommend as an option before heading out for the night or take away as it s very close to Broadview Station.

Delicious food at very good prices! Nice spacey interior to sit and eat, too, and staff super friendly and helpful. I contacted them after my initial visit, to ask if they could cater for a party. Their catering menu is excellent, and extremely good value for money! Masoud was the chef I spoke to, and he was super friendly and helpful. The food was, once again, delicious, and I had many compliments from party goers about how good the food was. I will definitely keep them in mind for any future events!

Walked in and ordered a shawarma wrap. The guy takes my order, then goes and starts making other orders (I m the only person in the place). I figure, maybe it s an urgent delivery, I ll cut them some slack and sit to wait. I end up waiting for 10 minutes and have to say hey how long is this going to take for the guy to make me a wrap. So basically, he forgot about me - the only customer in the building. Arguably the worst customer experience I ve ever had in a food shop. Then the shawarma was terrible - cold and poorly assembled. Never going back. Hard to overstate how bad this place is.

Closing time is midnight and the store gets closed earlier. I had a too good to go pickup which I paid for in advance. Even after reaching during the pickup time, I was told that the store is closed while the person working there was packing food in boxes. Never coming back and won t recommend if you are coming at night. They ll just say the store is closed. At least refund me what I paid if you re not going to give food during the mentioned pickup time.

Very open and Modern. Had the Beef Kofta and Shish Tawook. Beef Kosta a little dry but Chicken was great. Fries were excellent make sure you get extra special sauce.

The food was good . The employee there clearly don t know how to behave with customers. He was being rude from the starting of the order. After I had my food , I saw the bin was full and I asked him saying the dustbin is full where should I put my tray. He was so rude he said do whatever you want to do. Never visiting this location again.

Kebab and falafel is cooked to order for freshness. Staff was nice and food came quick. Would recommend the falafel if in the area.

Went to this place on a Sunday evening around 7pm. 4 guys standing in the kitchen gossiping among themselves. Waited for 5-7 mins, even tried to get their attention but they couldnt be bothered. Seems like they were too busy solving the climate crisis among themselves and couldnt serve a single customer....

I ve had a very bad experience with one of the staff (I ordered through to good to go), I called the restaurant on Tuesday, August 26 at 11:33 and I asked if the food is ready for pick up because I was 10min away from the restaurant, the pick up time is 11:00-11:59PM, the guy said the store is closing and is not going to make my order, I told him that the store closes at 12, but he said that I have to contact with the customer service to take my money back, I told him that I am near the store, but he hanged up the phone on me which is not professional and disappointed, I was so calm and respectful with the guy but it seems like he doesn t care about the customer. I love Zaad restaurant but what happened today disappointed me. I uploaded the picture showing the time of call as a proof.

Ive had the meat and chicken shawarma for takeout three times, and each time, the quality has been consistently delicious with generous portion.

I ordered a catered lunch for 80 people and it was wonderful! It arrived exactly on time and everyone was thrilled with the food quality and choices! Vegetarians loved the Falafel and the chicken and salads were delicious. Dietary restrictions: Are vegans and vegetarians had plenty to choose from.

The guy serving us was on his phone the entire time and barely paying attention. Got the order wrong and prepared a luke warm shawarma, the fatoush salad was terrible. Not clean at all in there. I wont be back, despite it being right beside my place of business.

Overpriced and overhyped! Ordered the mix beef and lamb shawarma platter for takeaway and I paid close to $20 but the quantity was so little, even the salad and the rice was dropped into the box with such calculation. Really disappointed!

The food was good but the music was too loud.

Placed an order on Ritual, it said it was ready and when we got there the person said they didn t have any orders. He then realized our order was there but he hadn t made it yet, so he asked if he could start it and we said yes. He wasn t apologetic and acted as if we were inconveniencing him by asking for our food. It didn t seem very clean and he kept wiping sweat from his forehead while making our food. In the end the food was pretty mediocre too, was hoping it would at least be worth the wait, oh well.

Food will HIGHLY depend on whos working that day. I can recommend this place anymore due to the inconsistencies.

The food here is great, but the preparation is sloppy and service is consistently slow. Decent chance that no shawarma is available because it hasnt been cooking long enough. I keep coming back for the shish tawouk saj despite the problems. A good option if you are in absolutely no hurry. Vegetarian options: Falafel, lentil soup

Outstanding!!! Simply the best falafel wrap I have for as long as I can remember. The man behind the counter was slightly shy but was friendly and attentive. The inside is new and really nice and comfortable. The wrap itself was really fresh which seems rare these days. Also the falafel is freshly made...no old stale ones that have been sitting out for a while. Yes I highly recommend!

Amazing saj wraps and shawarma for $12-15. Very friendly staff who have often given me free soup to sip on while I wait for my food. Only complaint is that even if you order or line or call, they will not start making your food until you show up. But the food and hospitality is good enough that it s still 5/5 for me.

ZAAD is a hidden gem! The chicken shawarma saj was flavorful, but the real star was the falafel platter. The falafel balls were incredibly fresh and crispy - some of the best Ive ever had! Horrible First of all, the food was inedible and tasteless! Everything was just like a mosh of low-quality ingredients together. Also, the staff were fighting together in Arabic Language! Omg so delicious! The chicken shwarma is so flavourful, fresh and filling. The falafel is perfect - moist and full of flavour. Hubby had the grape leaves and said they were they best he has had. Chef M was so gracious and friendly. Had us try some loaded/sauced fries that were so yummy! We are so full but also dont feel awful which says a lot about the quality. A must try if you are in the area. We will definitely be back! Chef M, thank you!

Zaad has to be one of the best places for authentic middle eastern food in Toronto. I got the lamb meat saj wrap and it was sooooo tender and well-spiced. Chef mutassim was also super nice and accommodating to my selectiveness of toppings, thanks boss! (He s also very handsome for those that care lol)

This my favorite shawerma place in Canada so far and by far the most authentic. As soon as I saw the pomegranate on the hummus I knew it was gonna be good. Also Kudos to chef Motasem for the great service.

This was one of the best (if not the best) shawarmas Ive had in a while. Extremely flavorful and juicy beef & lamb shawarma wrap. Motassem, our server, was so friendly and welcoming and he also kindly offered us two grilled chicken bites on our way out in addition to our order. Wonderful service, will definitely be a regular customer here!

Zaads food never seems to miss! I have been coming to the Danforth location ever since they opened up, and they managed to get better every time I dine in. Their Chicken Shawarma Saj platter hits the spot every time! Their staff work tirelessly and are always very welcoming and friendly. Motasem, one of the employees that has served me multiple times is always outstanding with his work and attentive to my order to make sure you he gets every detail right. 100% recommend this spot for their falafel, hummus, and specially their chicken shawarma saj. Even though their food is great for take-out, the way to go is definitely to dine-in and have the food as it comes out!

Mo prepared my falafel platter and his customer service was exceptional :). He offered me a taste of a falafel ball freshly made before my meal was ready. Love that! Food was made promptly and the falafel tasted so fresh.

Got alright food, but service really sucks. Waited 25 minutes, after the promised pick up time. The guy making the food is so unprofessional, uses his shirt to wipe his hands that he touches your food with. Many better options around, save your time and try something else.

Honestly this is a BIG ZERO out of 10. I am new in town and looking for halal restaurants. As soon as I walked in, it felt like shaitan was already there. The person at the front was extremely rude and unwelcoming. I initially thought he does not know how to smile but I witnessed him smiling with other customers. In between making my shawarma, he touched a bottle he was drinking from and his phone emergency social media check, could not wait. Then he proceeded to cut my shawarma into four pieces without asking me and I was flabbergasted! The food overall was extremely oily, the meat portion would not be enough for a toddler starting solids and it was way overpriced. Definitely never coming back here. I planned a subway trip and I wished I stuck to my gut. DON T RECOMMEND

I got to sample lentil soup, and Lebanese stuffed grape leaves, he even gave me grilled hot peppers to enjoy with my meal. I always feel so welcomed here and other than the food, the service is definitely one of the reasons why I always go back.

This place has the best mediterranean food in town. Wraps, pita, hummus, baba ganoush are all delicious. Falafel are just amazing; crispy, soft, and not very oily. Staff is super courteous. Motasem was our server and his friendly demeanour made our meal truly special. Lastly, don t miss out on the date cookies near cashier. They are one of a kind.

Had a bad first experience but they made it right. Changed from one star to five.

Had lemon beef platter, which was delicious! Especially the red cabbage pickles in the salad. The chef was very friendly.
