Hearty, healthy lunches, including build-your-own salads & wraps, are the focus at this local joint.
The food is tasty, portions are fairly sized, and the senior lady that works there is pretty friendly.
I tried their falafel salad. The falafel patties need heavy improvement. They are very bad in taste. 1) since they are a salad place, their patties are not fried. They are baked/microwaved which makes the patty very dry. 2) the patty they use is nothing special. You would get the same patty at a grocery store too. 3) overall salad was okay with the veggies being fresh and sauces being tasty.
Great place for a healthy lunch ! Visited this spot several times in the last month. Highly recommend if you’re a mindful healthy eater and amazing value for money for daily affordability. Thank you for your services !
Love this salad place. They have limited hours but when i get the chance to grab lunch, i run to this location vs going to the food court down the corridor. Healthy meals, generous portions, well priced and the service is excellent. Great healthy lunch option.
Portions are humongous and prices are pretty good so you get really get bang for your buck. It's similar to another restaurant nearby Salad House (which is also great)! Generally don't like falafel that much but I really like the ones here. All the ingredients taste fresh and staff and nice and efficient.
Wow what a hidden gem! If you're looking for a salad with fresh ingredients and at a great price, then go no further! I got a cobb salad through Ritual for about $7.50 including tax. Definitely will come again if I'm ever in the area. Check out my insta @city.livingcooking 😊
Excellent place to get a salad and more. This location offers more selection than the Cumberland location, like meatballs and basa fish (my current favourite) with pasta/rice. It gets really busy during lunch time but it’s worth the wait!
I ordered smoked salmon wrap ($6.35 before tax). It comes with certain sauces and vegetables. I thought we could add anything that we like because their menu don't tell you what's in it. The server was helpful, nice and quick.
Great salads! The staff is amazing! All the vegetables are fresh and delicious!
The lady who works behind the salad bar is very stingy with the quantities. I used to love this place but sadly not anymore
Not great, had the salad special, with lemon vinagrette, which was very bland, the sweet potato mash was very wet and bland the chicken was overcooked and became more like pulled chicken which was not what I was expecting tge humus and tzatiki were good, healthier than most food court meals but not satisfying.
Good ingredients but worst made wrap Ive ever had, was barely able to eat it as was falling apart and all the ingredients are just piled on top of one another!
Best salad bar in Toronto hands down! Fresh, big portions, and inexpensive!!
It s fresh but the one at Toronto General Hospital is far superior-
Simply simply lovely food, more than enough for one person. Great value for money and really sweet servers, this place just made my day. Totally recommended. Vamosss
Great food
My go to lunch spot for under $10 in the area. Everything is always fresh and filling, and the staff are always friendly. I usually get the special with chicken, or the meatballs with rice and salad to change things up.
My favourite work lunch spot and the staff always put a smile on my face. Homemade taste, big portions, you can taste the love and care and quality! Meatballs are great, pork is great, fish is great, chicken is great, rice is succulent, salad is a salad and not a small iceberg wedge with adorned with a single, sad slice of tomato - everything here is so good, and it will fill you up. You cannot beat the value. Comparable to a caring mothers home cooking. Please never leave!
Amazing food for a great price. Good for when you re on the go.
I love this place! They give you such a good portion size for the price!
I have been going to Salad House for over 10 years and the last time I went (today) was truly a disappointing experience. The owner, Adel has always been polite, kind and generous with the portions. Today, I paid $7 for a small smoked salmon that was done in less than five minutes. The size of the container not only dramatically decreased, but the girl gave me ONE piece of smoked salmon cut in HALF. I got 3 slices of cucumber and the rest of the sliced tomatoes. She also drenched it with so much lemon vinaigrette, I had a hard time consuming it. I feel if it was Adel he would have served me better. I realize it s a pandemic, but that portion was unreal. Unless Adel is there, I will never go back again. If I have to pay $7 for a salad that use to cost $5-6 dollars, at least serve a decent portion. I find the women are more stingy with the ingredients than the men. Please do better.
The lunch special salad with chicken is delicious. The vegetables are fresh and the chicken breast is moist and tender. The harrira soup is hearty and delicious as well. Overall, excellent foods and great value.
Its very good restaurant, and the stuff is so friendly. One of the best Arab restaurants that serves falafel and all kinds of salad
Enjoyable
Food quality still good but portions have gotten much smaller. Disappointing to say the least.
Great price, good food, great staff!
I give them 1 star not because the food isn t good but because of the owner. Vegetables are always fresh and their salads/wrap taste pretty good and staff are very kind. However, the owner is horrible towards his employees. He talks to them in a very rude way and I really don t know how these people still work there. Whenever I m there and I hear him talking like this I feel so bad for them as everyone deserves to be respected.
This review is just for falafel wrap. They serve cold wraps even after requesting it to warm. They re in a hurry even if only couple of customers in line. It s just a business as most of the places in downtown n midtown. Terrible service, avoid if you like it to be served warm.
Good salad
Great variety of fresh health food. Smells and tastes amazing.
The best salads ever !!!
This is one of the best restaurants in the neighbourhood. The prices are reasonable, the portions are good, and the produce is fresh.
Good lunch option.
This is the one restaurant close to my work that is a complete no-brainer when Ive forgotten my lunch and Im in need of REAL food, thats wholesome and raw. Its a salad bar, thats extremely affordable $7 for a fully loaded chicken cobb salad. The portions are more than generous. The staff is friendly. This place is always a hit. Fabulous to have healthy food as a fast food option.
Good fresh portions. A nice alternative to whats normally available in a food court. Super!
Good option for lunch. Quick service and healthy food.
OK.
DO NOT order off ritual. This location is incapable of reading order notes or any topping changes requested in the item selection menu. Get what I ordered about 30% of the time. 0/10 for literacy skills.
Completely inconsistent. Sometimes you grab a salad here and its absolutely superb. Ultra fresh, very tasty, and completely adequate. Other times, I find wilted leaves and sour veggies on my salad. I had a completely rotten cucumber that tasted moldy! I think it adds a bit of fuel to the fire that with a salad, youre seeing the ingredients going in, and so its really hard to miss something unfresh. I would more understand an under-cooked chicken breast or something. I totally understand that they need to make money, I just dont like that theyre prepared to do it by sacrificing quality. Love their service, love their staff.
Fresh and clean
Tasty salads. From vegan to meat.
Delicious! Their meatballs are great
Not tasteful enough.
Love their customers
Delish food
There are two locations for Salad Days in this area. And also, theres a place called Salad House. Two salad days are oddly different in terms of quality of food, quantity of food, and the price of daily special. They were the identical menu, but the price was different. Regardless, not a fan. Id recommend Salad house! Much better than Salad Days.
quick tasty and crisp.
Great place for a very healthy, low cost lunch in expensive Yorkville area
Outstanding healthy lunch options, fast service, friendly staff, and fair prices. What more can you ask for?
Fresh vegetables and salads
Great place to pick up a healthy lunch for a decent price. A big fan of their Nicoise salad! The portions have gotten a bit smaller over the years but it s still a good value.
Used to be a great place to get healthy salads, now they changed up their menu that has nothing to do with healthy salads
Great clean place and healthy portions.
I know people are complaining that prices went up, but they are still half the price of other similar options in Toronto. Its called inflation, people. The portions are generous and the tzaziki is friggin amazing.
I love salad days. All th locations are the best. The lunch special is amazing and everything is fresh and you get such a large serving. I go here everyday for lunch.
Eat here a lot. Cheap salads and wraps. Suggest ordering agead on Ritual as lines can be long.
This place is one of my favourite places to grab a to-go lunch at a very cheap price point. I usually get their amazing lunch special Chicken Salad which leaves me so filled. For a meal under $10 and the quantity they give you, its unbeatable and healthy.
Love this place and so happy they opened one near my new work! I used to go to the Cumberland location when I worked at Bay & Bloor. Their special is worth the $6.45+taxes with house dress it is a lettuce salad with choice of salmon/chicken and tomatoes, cucumber, olives, feta, 2 scoops of sweet potato mash, stuffed grape leaves. As well I love the Cobb Salad. Businesses need to take notes cheaper prices = long lines and steady business.
Great salads, reasonable price. Could offer more varieties of proteins
Nice spot for anything salad. A long line up during lunch unless you order ahead
How you are going to make up your mind is the only challenge. Everything is fresh and taste so good!
Perfect spot for a healthy and cheap lunch. Portions are generous and food is fresh
They overfeed nicely. I really recommend it!
Not usually one to buy salads as it susually a waste of money for mostly leafs, but this place is AMAZING. so tasty!!! Great prices and filling amd hearty..the flavor was just incredible. Can make custom salads and so Many options..ill definitely be back for more
The best $5-10 lunch you can buy. Line ups are inevitable but they move quick. Very generous with toppings and protein, not just sad leaves coated in dressing like Freshii.
Always a good salad!
Meal under $10! A lot of the ladies make an art of the salad, then theres one woman who leaves you basically with a bunch of iceberg lettuce.
Good food but very inaccessible
Fresh, healthy,quite tasteful.
Cobb salad, large. Quick service, all workers wearing hats and uniforms.great location!
Always impressed with the quality and quantity and freshness of there menu selections. Definitely recommend eating healthy, at Salad Days!
Fresh ingredients, fast service and great prices. A small salad is around $7 with taxes and it is so big. It literally fills you up for hours.
Delicious but a little bit pricey if its for an everyday lunch.
I like here because of the fact they open on Saturdays. But the large Cobb portion seems fairly smaller than the Bay location.
Love this
It is my favorite take out place for lunch.
Very good food for the price.
They are quick, clean and highly efficient. Would highly recommend
Im always impressed by this place, ingredients are fresh and during the week around lunch hour the line-up is long. Prices are extremely reasonable and portions are a good size. Have an idea of what you would like before you get to the front as they move very quickly and indecisiveness can lead to annoyance from those behind you.
I get my salad mostly from other location located inside the 2 bloor street west. But today I went to this location. I bought the customized salad. I went back to office and started eating it. Then the quinoa tastes horrible. I am sure that they didnt threw the old one. Seems like they put the fresh one on top of the old one from previous night or something. I went back and got my refund. I wasted my lunch break. On top the lady who was making my salad, she was supposed to put the whole chopped chicken in my small salad box. She wasnt able to put whole chicken in the box so she gave me only half of it and I think I paid extra 3.99 for that chicken only. Gosh I am never going back to this place. Very disappointed with the service and food quality at this location.
Probably the best lunch option at bay/bloor
I am pretty sure the salad days special kept me alive for a few months
Great homemade east Indian food at a reasonable price
Ordered a Chicken wrap, not bad. I wish however , that they put MORE CHICKEN in it as opposed to stuffing a whole whack of veggies.
Product/Service: 4/5 Fresh veggies and good portions. Would be nice if they were open early though. Location: 5/5 Right by Bloor-Yonge station. Price: 5/5 Great value. Atmosphere: 5/5 Bright and clean, exactly what you d look for in a food stall.
So expensive, yet always so busy.
love it
Great food but they should seriously consider the cashier after you order! I would order a couple extras if I hadnt already paid for my order
Best Salad in Toronto!!! You have to try!!!
Best salad in Toronto!good price good service!soo fresh same like at farm!
The best in toronto
healthy, delicious, reasonable prices and also fast and great service... no way to regret being here
Always great! Staff Great and value is terrific.
Great service. Tasty and fresh salads every day..
Salad for days in this place!
Its really good place. They have so fresh food. I think you should try.
Love my Lunches - every day!
Had the special, all I can say is it was more than special. Great food, great price and the owners are rockstars. Definitely check this out and I hear theyre coming to platterz soon if you want them to cater your corporate lunches.
The lineups are shorter now than they were a year ago, and for as little as $6.45 +tax you can get a good sized salad with meat. Definitely one of the cheaper & healthier options in the Hudsons Bay Centre.
Food is excellent, fresh, good, fast!
Quick and fresh. Being healthy was never a cheap option
Great mix of healthy options. Would be at least 4.5 stars, but they havent addressed a very simple health concern. There is a small vertical pane of glass protecting the food from the patrons...IT DOES NOT PROTECT THE FOOD FROM SALIVA OR ANYTHING ELSE COMING FROM THE MOUTHS OF PEOPLE ORDERING THEIR FOOD. Very easy solution. Not sure why the owners dont care.
Quick and healthy lunch for an affordable price. Highly recommended.
Delicious fresh salads
Love this place. So organized, clean and healthy. The line can be so long but that speaks for itself
Excellent food and prices. Love going here for lunch.
Great salads with tons of healthy options and very generous portions. Definitely recommended!
Great place, very affordable prices and lots of toppings
Love this place. Good prices and fresh ingredients.
My two fave things, cheap and delicious!
Best salad restaurant in the area
The portions are AMAZING for the price! Also, the owner of the place came out after us and gave us free bottled water and a free spinach rolls (probably because we were first-time customers). Regardless, staff was really friendly and I would definitely go there again.
Excellent price if you have to eat lunch and get back to work .Delicious salad ...hmm not sure if is organic!!!!
This is good..wide variety..well priced..I just fell onto it while in area..go go go
Always crowded, as if they add something to their salads :)
Great food at a good price!!
Excellent fresh healthy food, love the soup and variety of salad ingredients.
Fresh and healthy ingredients, generous portions, affordable prices, friendly staff. What else could I say? My favorite place for lunch.
Id give them 5 stars if their portions were consistent. With that being said, their food is always fresh and always delicious.
Best salad place in this area, quick (no cards), well priced and the portions are packed full. My favorite is chicken ceaser wrap with avacado..they have two locations now one on Concorse level and one underground closer to the Bay
Fresh ingredients and filling ...the two most important things in a salad. You can customize to your liking. Delicious special filled with two wrapped grapevine (grape leaves wrapped with rice inside), two scoops of sweet potato, chicken or salmon, tomatoes cucumbers, olives (or I choose avocado) with tzatziki and hummus on top.
Just order the large cob salad from Salad Days at 2 Bloor Street East and am very disappointed. Firstly, am shocked that the only ingredients that appears to constitute a large salad is the lettuce. Secondly, the avocado was rock hard which am sure they new when they were cutting into them. Thirdly, I had to ask the person making my salad for more ingredients since she was only putting 1 olive in it. I also felt she was rushing me. Av always ordered a small one and its usually been quite good and plentiful. This large salad cost me almost $10. Rang and was told I can bring it back so lets see if I will be compensated accordingly. This was supposed to be my lunch and needles to say I didnt end up having one. On returning to Salad Days, Shahd apologised. I was refunded my money and, given a free salad. Thank you Shahd for responding in the appropriate way. My 1 star has now jumped back up to 4 stars!!
Ive tried their Cobb salad, the best salad Ive ever had. Their lunch special is also great and the portion is so generous. Love it!
Maybe other salads are better, but I ordered a large caesar salad with a chicken breast. Now, since this was a salad place I was expecting an awesome salad. What I got was a bunch of wet romaine lettuce with dry parmesan cheese, fake bacon bits, croutons, the tiniest piece of chicken I have ever seen and some dressing thrown on top. They couldnt even both to toss it up for me. I have no way to toss it in this little flimsy container. I would have been better off with a salad kit from the grocery store upstairs even if I had to eat it out of the bag. It would have cost me a ¼ of the price as well.
Delicious, healthy, cheap. If youre looking for interesting salads then this is your place. Theres seating right beside it which is great! Beware of long lineups during lunch so come early.
the best ever
Food is delicious, but the assembly line is a mess. They seem to prioritize mobile orders ahead of customers waiting in line.
Never dream of Greek salad could be so good
Solid lunch spot, but go later to avoid the line. Cobb salad and the daily special (which is always the same) are standouts.
Possibly the best salad in the city. Always fresh and loaded with quality ingredients. I am addicted the the Cobb salad and their Dolmades. Great value at under $10. Arrive early to avoid the lineup (always a 10-15 minute wait during the lunch rush). Or, get the Ritual App and place your order in advance.
LOVE this place. Prices are super reasonable, ingredients are fresh and their portions are generous. I usually get a small COBB salad on the way home. Also the staff is super friendly and I always appreciate that :)
If youre hankering for a huge, delicious, and super fresh salad this is the place. Get here before noon if youre coming for lunch because it gets really busy.
The chicken special seems to not taste as good
Salad days has inconsistent service. Sometimes the salads come out really good and are fresh - and other times its not good at all. I ordered a salad through Ritual, asking for Falafal and hot sauce added - which were not included. The salad was tasteless and was missing ingredients and I threw out half of it. I called them to complain and was told by the man on the phone I didnt make the salad and Im too busy to find out. Needless to say - I will not order again from Here again. Money well wasted
Delicious and always fresh generous portions
First time I went there, got the smoked salmon salad - amazing. Visit #2... yeah... visit #2 indeed. Ordered a Cobb salad - not only was it drowning in dressing that spilled all over me, but I got sick 1/2hr after eating it... Ill spare you the rest. Healthier choice my ass - they probably still use preservatives and crappy ingredients.
Great place to pick up a salad for lunch. Located in the concourse/path by the Bloor TTC station. Tried the large Cobb salad (included chicken, corn, olives, blue cheese, lettuce, avocados, tomatoes, and cucumber) and was very pleased with the portion. Price was under $10 after taxes. The gets busy so try to get there by 11am to avoid wait times.
